Hi, I'm back . . . maybe?

So, I know I haven't posted any fics in AGES! AHHHH! (Because I'm really into Bungou Stray Dogs right now. Maybe I could do a AU for it or something.)

Hi, I really like your blog and found no better place to rant.

Before I start, I hope to clarify a couple of points to set a clear context:

1. I'm a baby army.

2. I'm an Asian.

3. I am straight. (Don't get me wrong, my personal belief is that love has no gender)

I ran into Taekook videos when I first discovered BTS with zero to no idea about shipping culture. The fact that TKrs claimed their relationship to be real seemed ridiculous to me. I genuinely thought that people were forcing their weird fantasies on two men who have a good friendship. So I moved away from TKr or 'shipper' content and started to watch BTS as a whole with absolutely no idea that parallel ships had a fandom. That's when I came across GCF in Saipan. That freaking video!!!! There was no way I could turn away from looking at JK and JM differently. The song, the editing and just how ethereal JM looked or smiled irrespective of his weird antics and spontaneous shots seemed pure, full of trust and openness. That's how I discovered Jikook and it has been 2 months now.

This also brought me to another discovery, Heterosexism. I work at a corporate company and had a casual discussion with my colleagues regarding an awareness training about eliminating bias and I was surprised at the reaction for a topic surrounding homosexuals. The media here romanticises that homosexuality is accepted, with a few articles on recent homosexual relationships and weddings. But on a deeper scale, the citizens are still homophobic. I was told off for showing support to the pride community, to the extent where I was asked if I was a homosexual.

Finally getting to my question, I have noticed that a lot of jikook supporters are homosexuals. What about people who are not part of the pride community? Is there a good number of people who are straight but not homophobic? Is there a safe space for us to show our support without being judged for it?

True Allyship is appreciated at most pride events and with most queer people. If you are talking about within the Jikook spaces, I do think a large portion of Jikookers are queer is some sense, but a lot of them are straight too. And as long as you aren't talking over queer voices or making a queer safe space no longer safe, I think it's fine for you to be involved.

I'm pretty sure I've got a fairly large following of straight people here anyway too. But let's do another poll and see. These are always lower engagement than the amount of followers I actually have, but it gets a sample size at least. Lol polls are totally anonymous too, in case anyone was worried.

Last time I did this, there was confusion for my aro/ace friends. Y'all are the A in LGBTQIA+. You count as queer, my loves 💜

If you aren't an ally, you don't get an option and you can unfollow 😂

I've got my issues with fake support and Allyship from shippers, but that's a separate discussion and I do think that there are a lot of people who are true and good allies here.

I'm just mad a the hypocrisy of some pjms and had blocked them because this actitud towards that twit screams cultists behavior, I'm a grown up I'll watch and support whatever I want with my time and my money, imagine telling people what they have to do so if I don't watch this show I'm not a jimin fan anymore that's sounds a lot like you have to love 7 or you are not a fan and fake armys and shippers in the quotes you have dragged jimin so many time and stopped supporting him even allowing jk's fans to hate and attack him for nothing, I just can't take this kind of people seriously.

And remember the people saying that jimin wanted to do this NYC thing is the same people saying that the company didn't sabotage him and that jimin choose everything that happened to him, is the same people that are ok with not voting for jimin and the same people that prefer to vote for taekook because that's what jimin would want for others to have everything and him nothing.

You gave your opinion in YOUR blog if people don't want to watch that content they won't and if they want to watch it they will, that's it and both options are fine because people can choose what to do with their life.

I'm sorry but this actitud of pjms really bothers me and if this is how they are going to behave I prefer to leave twitter and keep supporting jimin silently like before because cult like behavior isn't my thing.

There's a lot I don't like about pjms.

I've made fun of them for thinking Jimin is leaving hybe.

I've made fun of them for believing he doesn't really love the members.

I've argued here in this blog with so many who complained about Jimin's hair or clothes or Instagram posts because it wasn't what they wanted to see from him.

Lately I stopped because they were getting enough lashings from armys.

And I know they've been, intentionally or not, "boycotting" BTS content for years. Someone said in the quotes something like "that comes naturally for me, I just wait for glisten and jimin95s". That's what it's like for me too, and has been since 2021. It's not that I'm plotting and thinking obsessively about my every move as a fan, I just stopped watching BTS content a couple of years ago because it wasn't interesting enough for me, and that was it.

This time I just thought I should say it because I know a lot of pjms who don't even like Jungkook sometimes watch stuff out of curiosity.

Jikookers and armys were saying it's content for jikookers and armys, and they're right. That's really all it's about. I'm not a jikooker and I'm not an army. If it hadn't been so obviously framed in the context of Jungkook's debut, I would've probably watched. As I said, I would've definitely watched it if it was Jimin's debut or something relayed to J I M I N S activities.

I'm also definitely not taking how-to-be-a-fan lessons from armys of all people (jikookers included in this because most of them are armys), who didn't support angel, who didn't support vibe, who don't like Jimin's Instagram posts, who didn't post about his Dior worldwide campaign, who stopped posting about face after the first week, who are okay with blurring him out of voting polls, who laughed when a pjm said let's get billboard #1, who said they'd vote for his competition when he was leading the voting. Armys are literally the last people who should be talking.

Do you think the Taekook Tik Tok video was filmed

1) in the first two weeks of November 2022, around sunrise, when Jungkook was back from Qatar the first time

2) November 22, 2022 around sunrise, literally right after Jungkook came back the second time from Qatar

I didn’t factor airport outfits into why I went with 11/22, but was going off a general consensus and discussions I saw on social media.

However, I just watched Vante Kim’s latest video, and while I always caution about relying heavily on analysis videos, she tends to be very sound and logical.

Based on her video, I’m apt to change the date to a blanket “first two weeks of November 2022” but welcome thoughts before I do that.

I feel bad for people who’ve reblogged my post, since when I edit, the reblogs don’t modify. I’m really sorry about that.

As you know, dates aren’t my strong suit. As long as I have a general timeframe, I’m happy with that. To say it took place at the start of November, or the end, isn’t too terribly far off. But my OCD is fixating on it so let me know what you think ☺️💜💜

Update - I’ve had a lot of AMAZING feedback in the last 24 hours. It seems like a general consensus is after the second trip. Y’all left some incredibly pertinent facts so I’ll leave this up as an archive for the discussions part of the blog☺️my gut said after the second trip, especially because of the hair band, but my OCD wouldn’t let it go. I know it’s not too far of a time difference, whether it’s after the first or second trip to Qatar, and the primary point of preserving that piece is because we got an adorable Taekook Tik Tok video. Still, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone for leaving their thoughts, since my brain wouldn’t quit worrying💜It was really neat reading some of the things being pointed out, such as the Celine hoodie, the timing between Yoonmin’s and Hobi’s uploads compared to theirs, etc🥰 thank you so much 🙏🏽

Let’s face facts here. Jokers have become extremely toxic within the last 3 years but they can never come close to taekookers because taekookers literally started hating on Jimin since 2015 when Jikook wasn’t even a ship anyone acknowledged back then. I am Taehyung and Jimin biased so i spend enough time in both spaces to have a good idea of what is going on. You don’t have to take my word for it though. To see things for yourself, go on youtube and find taekook compilations from 2015/2016 and see how hateful taekookers were already being towards Jimin because of his friendship with Jk. They called him a bad friend to tae because of how affectionate he was with Jk and accused him of making Jk uncomfortable and this hate tripled after GCF in Tokyo and after Jikook as a ship started gaining traction in 2017. Let’s be honest. Were there any jokers back in the day to even hate on Tae? Did they have any reason to hate on him? After Jikook as a ship gained traction, jokers were busy consuming the tons of Jikook content bighit and jikook fed them with to care about Taekook or taekookers but taekookers got desperate and viscious because of the decline in taekook content so they directed that hate and anger to Jimin coming up with the most ridiculous theories and narratives about how Jikook was a cover for taekook, how Jimin and the company forced Jk to do fanservice, and how Jimin was envious of taekook’s relationship because they were the most popular so the company paired jikook and made them the official ship so Jimin could ride off Jk’s popularity. Hell, go to quora and reddit and check from 2015 and up and you will see the most nasty things taekookers said about Jimin when jikook wasn’t even a thing yet. You said it yourself, jikookers toxicity has been loud for the past three years but ask any pre 2020 army and they will tell you that Jokers were very less problematic then but taekookers have always had a reputation for being the worst shippers in kpop because everyone saw how nasty they were to Jimin and anyone they saw as a threat to taekook.

Some of you are new to the fandom. You came at a time when the the hate Tae was getting from Jokers increased drastically so that is all you know. You don’t know of a time when taekookers were literally treated like a dreaded disease because their toxicity always made headlines. These days Jikookers toxicity makes taekookers look tamer because now the focus isn’t only on taekookers as it was before. Everybody cannot be wrong. There have literally been many polls conducted on twt and tkkrs always came out as 2nd most toxic shippers with the first being Larrys. These days i wouldn’t touch jokers with a 10 inch pole because they have lost their marbles hating on Tae like he is the reason jikook isn’t real and same with taekookers but i will never lie to myself saying that Jokers are worse. That is a lie from the pit of hell and even the taekookers who have been in this fandom for years know it. Plus there is literally proof of the fact that taekookers started this whole mess. There are tons of screenshots from 2015 tkkrs on twitter wishing Jimin death and as i said, you just need to watch a few taekook compilation videos from 2015/2016 to see things for yourself. I think it is honestly so fcked up how Vmin get all these hate from these two groups of shippers all for ships that aren’t even real in the first place. I wish they would free Vmin fr.

I’m sorry to say it, but most jkkers are pjms so I’m not really surprised to get an ask like this. I’m not a 2020 army, I’ve been here for far too many years to talk without cognition. Thinking that before the whole jkk push Tae didn’t get any hate is stupid and quite frankly, naive. I do agree with smth tho, it is fucked up that they get all that hate.
