I have been at my older sister’s for less than three hours and I have already been tasked with:

A)talking to our middle eastern dad on the phone so my sister could eat in peace

B)helping my brother-in-law carry a long, heavy box throughout the house, down a small set of stairs, and out to the backyard

C)helping my brother-in-law move a table

D)disposed of a dead rat that they found in their backyard that both of them were too squeamish to even look at

ya'll , it's been a wild morning. and by wild i mean , some dude barricaded himself in someone's house that he was trying to rob...and that happened at 4am and the road i live off of ( cause i live on a dirt road ) , is swarming with cops. im so confused as to how tf this dude got away. like did they NOT have the backdoor and windows watched?????? anyways, my house and all is fully locked for the day until they catch him.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

I really love the concept of Tim hiding in small spaces randomly, and his family just completely accepting this as normal behavior.

Like,

Dick, mid conversation with Wally, grabs a cookie from his plate and reaches behind the couch, sticking his arm down there and pulls it up with no cookie. He doesn't falter once in his conversation.

Wally blinks in confusion a few times and then carefully asks, "Did you just... put a cookie behind the couch?"

Dick blinks as well. "Tim is behind there." He said like that should be obvious.

"What?! Dude, has he been listening to our conversation??"

"Nah, he's got his headphones on." Dick says dismissively.

Tim reaches his hand up and taps Dick on the shoulder to get his attention and then mimes writing. Dick hands him a pen.

"This happens all the time, doesn't it?" Wally asked, amused.

Dick snorts and nods. "Are you really surprised? I mean, I hang upside down when i need to think, Damian cuts things, Jason shoots things, Bruce broods. Tim hides."

Wally laughs. "Fair enough, man."

Or,

Mid Justice League meeting, Bruce looks under the desk he's at, grunts and motions to the side of his head. Then, he grumbles "Notepad." A second passes, he straightens up and starts scribbling something onto a notepad.

"What the hell just happened?" Hal asks bluntly.

"Red Robin is under there." Clark says immediately, used to this whole thing.

"Okay... Is there, like, a reason for that?"

Bruce grunts, and Clark says, "He likes it under there."

"Ooookkaayyyy then."

Fundamentally, as Roxanne grows into godhood or paving her own way ( more like coming to terms with it ), she is steadily creeping into levels of uncanny valley where she isn't recognized as human, nor is she truly a god. At some point, she ( and her brother! ) will reach a stage where gods are at their most powerful... and this is self-actualization.

There is an added physical attribute to her godly nature in which her eyes will eventually manifest as evil eye charms ( upper right-hand corner image ).

These charms are apotropaic, as the purpose of the evil eye charms is to cast a malevolent, or intimidating, gaze back at those who wish to do harm and especially upon the innocent. Furthermore, what is intrinsically interesting about these charms is that they are a rich, unearthly shade of blue. This stems from the fact that blue eyes are a rare sight in for ancient Mediterranean and Middle Eastern peoples, and it is said that those with blue or light-coloured eyes can cast a curse upon others with a single glance! Needless to say, blue-eyed individuals were very uncanny, which coincides well with how strange and unsettling Roxy's natural eye colour can be. It's more than the resentment and fear of a child who inherited Zeus' eyes, to some, it's an omen.

So what about Roxanne's freaky pretty blue eyes turning into charms? Well, this is her at the peak of her godhood, in which she can kill with a simple look if one stares too long, or repel/intimidate any who wish to do harm. Those eyes can read into the depths of your soul and discern your intentions. It's frightening on top the other attributes of her divine form, which manifest as part of what she is and what she embodies is who she is ⏤ a defender and protector.

Parts of which she formerly shunned are things she's coming to accept as part of her self-actualization / manifestation, thus reflecting the trajectory of her development. At the core, she is simply embodying the truth of who she is by finally accepting herself for what she is, and believing in who she is and what she stands for is enough.
