Taking your time isn’t the same thing as being behind. Slow isn’t the same thing as being behind. A gentler pace isn’t the same thing as being behind. Not being finished yet isn’t the same thing as being behind. Not knowing or having clarity yet isn’t the same thing as being behind. Not meeting all your life goals by the time you’re 35 isn’t the same thing as being behind. Not having the outward level of success we’ve collectively deemed to be important isn’t the same thing as being behind. When we stop comparing our timelines, our pace, and our progress to anyone else’s, "behind" no longer exists; all that exists is our own unique path. lisa olivera

It’s Alright, I promise
For years I’ve struggled finding a name for myself, and even now I am unsure of the one i’ve chosen. I always thought that I had to be someone else, and that my character was extremely unlikable due to past interactions. I thought I had to show extreme dedication to any one thing to show how much love I have for it, but that isn’t the case at all. It’s alright to be who you are, and it’s alright to be unsure of things. It’s okay to like a bazillion things at once, and it’s okay to take your time. I always feel as if time is running out, and that if I don’t do a certain thing by tomorrow that’s it. My extreme anxiety disorder has made it rather difficult to exist most days, but I am pushing through little by little.

There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.
Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.
and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

Find beauty, solace, and inspiration in the timeless elegance of flowers. Just as flowers bloom and flourish in their own time, allow yourself to grow, blossom, and thrive at your own pace. Embrace the delicate and vibrant colors of flowers as a reminder of the diversity, resilience, and fragility of life. Take moments to appreciate the intricate details and intoxicating scents of flowers, immersing yourself in the present moment and connecting with the natural world around you. Like flowers, may you radiate beauty, grace, and positivity in all that you do. Let the presence of flowers in your life serve as a gentle reminder to nurture your own growth, cultivate inner peace, and spread love and joy to those around you. Just as flowers brighten the world with their presence, may you too bring light, warmth, and beauty wherever you go.

Part of the reason that Republicans are so desperately acting like they will never lose again is because they are deeply terrified that this is their last real chance to win. The big orange dipshit came in and gutted the party of everyone who wasn't a loyalist, which left it full of nasty little gremlins who have gaping voids where charisma and human decency is supposed to go.
They still hold a lot of power, but if we stop them this year the next presidential election may not be the Most Important One Of Your Life™, that's not a guarantee or anything, but if they don't win here and now their future looks grim, this dipshit is the only guy they have left and he's extremely diminished and has his brains leaking out of his ears at this point. We can beat him into the ground.
So that's what we're gonna fucking do. We're gonna break these fucking fash. They will crash upon us and we're gonna break their fucking necks. When they come for us they will lose because they're fucking losers and we have each other's backs which is something they fundamentally are incapable of comprehending.

I think that one thing people fail to understand is that unsolicited literary criticism coming from an online stranger who is reading with no knowledge of what the authors intended goal is, is not going to be received the same as say: the authors beta reader or friends who know what the authors intended goal and has the sufficient knowledge and input to help the author reach that desired outcome.
"But I'm only trying to be helpful" How do I know you have the knowledge and literary skill for you to be able to actaully do that when we don't know each other and you are essentially a stranger to me? Are you applying this criticism based out of personal biased experience and desire to see the story or characterization be driven in another direction or tweaked, or do you know the author's intentions for the character? If the story is incomplete, are you basing your criticism of a character on the incomplete narration with only partial information available of them or are you building up a report until the story's completion? Did the author provide you with the information needed to make a fully informed criticism?
Have you discussed with the author what their plans are or are you assuming them based off the narration, especially if the narration is proven or implied to be unreliable or missing key points of the plot? Are you unbiased enough to help them reach their desired outcome for the characters and story regardless of your personal feelings towards the characters/antagonists and setting? Can you handle being told your specific input isn't wanted because you're a reader and/or have no written anything relating to their genre or topic? Do you understand and respect that the author's personal experiences might influence their writing and make it different than how you would have done it personally? Do you understand if an author only wants input from a specific demographic relating to their story?
If it's for fanfiction or other hobby media, are you holding a free hobby to a professional standard? Are you trying to give criticism because you feel like the author has produced 'subpar job performance' of their fic? Are you viewing their work as a personal intimate outlet or something that must conform with mass media? Are you applying rules and guidelines when the fic is shared for simple sharing sake? Is your criticism worded appropriately and focused on the parts where the author has requested input on rather than a general dismissal and or disapproval?
Have you put yourself in a place where you assumed you have the input needed for the story to evolve better, or have you asked what the author needs and what they're having trouble with? Can you handle having your criticism rejected if the author decides their story doesn't need the change and not take it as a personal offense against your character? Are you crossing that boundary because you think you are doing the author a favor? Are you trying to be helpful, or do you just want to be?
I think sometimes when people hear authors go 'please don't give me unsolicited writing advice or criticism' they automatically chalk it up to 'this author doesn't want ANY constructive feedback on their stuff at all' and not "i already have trusted individuals who will help me with my writing goals and- hey i don't know you like that, please stop acting so overly familiar with me'

Love when writers do an insane amount of unnecessary research for their fics. I follow an author that did like 8 months of intense research into 14th century Scotland so they could write smut about it, and guess what. It was some fucking incredible porn AND I learned about old Scottish politics
