I have a headcanon: Near HATES haircuts. Its a common thing for autistic people, but it also leads into my theory of why he has long hair in the latest release: he had a bad experience (and by bad, i mean probably traumatic) and decided as an adult he would never get his hair cut again. 😢

Randy blessed my colony like the twins- a Saurid raider immediately laid an egg once she came on screen. I couldn’t non-lethally take her down, but I had my pawns haul the egg back to base as fast as they could. (Also the game decided that the best place to put the egg was in a food bin- had to manually set a spot for them to put it down that was not THE FUCKING FREEZER)

There have to be so many strange blended found-family groups on the Rim, it must make for hilarious conversations.

I think "Yeah, sightstealers dropped you off and we left you in cryptosleep for ages" and "Lizard people brought you here and we almost froze you" are great ways to explain to your adopted kids where babies come from.

Saurid colonists are some of my favourite to draw. I hope your little one arrives safely and that you get a fun story out of it.

Keep me updated, if you like! I imagine Ivy would enjoy knowing there's someone out there sharing similar circumstances to her—adopted into a new family after your birth. They're like siblings separated by time and space. How lovely!

HAHAHA he would be a terrible patient, he would not rest and let his wound closed. But I think Janosh is a poor doctor, he fusses too much. Always waking Adder up to check he’s alive still. He’d give him so much attention and extra rations and kisses too, though. If either one of them is injured on a job the other just goes full guard dog, and now the Pack is down 2 men

Headcannons for all the riders?

Enjoy some random completely unsubstantiated silliness:

Snotlout can touch his tongue to his nose

The twins regularly pull pranks where one of them goes "missing" and the other twin is seen in two places at once

Hiccup hated eel, tried it the way the Defenders of the Wing cook it, and now has to hide that he likes it from Toothless

Astrid’s parents tried to confiscate all her weapons after a fight. They found less than half

Fishlegs can hold his breath for the longest out of the riders

When Astrid doesn't sleep as much as she needs to per night she gets headaches

One of Snotlout's elbows never healed quite right after his dad broke it so it clicks when he overextends it now

Hiccup actually likes tending the boars and chickens they keep on the Edge, and is bummed out when he doesn't have the time and someone else takes his turn

Speaking of that, they do keep sheep on the Edge (a breed that doesn't need shearing often maybe) for mutton

And all the riders know how to butcher and dress animals

Hiccup was really squeamish about it (but he can turn off that part of his mind when he really has to)

Fishlegs has a rare rock collection and hides it from Meatlug so she doesn't eat it

When Snotlout has a fight with Hookfang, he turns the S on his hut upside down (it looks the same) (no one notices)

Hiccup still has a left boot made whenever he gets a new right one, and Toothless turns it into a chew toy

Astrid sings lullabies to Stormfly and will kill anyone who catches her

Tuffnut's hair actually smells fairly decent, somehow. No one can tell why (he bought rosewater from TJ once and really liked feeling fancy)

Ruffnut could tie with Astrid in hand-to-hand combat, but she'd fight dirty and Astrid gets So Mad

When there are big windstorms on the Edge, the riders sleep in the stables, and when it's a lightning storm they move into the caves

Omg this is getting long. Hope these are all fun!!

Whumpee who has instantaneous healing powers. Any wound they receive closes and disappears instantly.

When Caretaker finds them, Whumpee appears completely untouched- except that their skin and clothes are covered in their own blood.

What if Whumpee is a violent person, and Caretaker instantly assumes that they hurt someone. It takes a while for them to realize that Whumpee isn't being evasive on purpose, but they're still so out of it because of the pain and mental exhaustion. Their wounds might have healed, but that doesn't mean their body just forgets all that happened.

They DO cuddle.

Augustine doesn't really initiate because he's too busy being all stoic and aloof but he does secretly enjoy the affection with his friend. Augustine wanted to be a cool loner but had two far too extroverted people want to throw affection at him.
