Cherry Bomb
Sirius Black x f!reader
Tumblr media
warnings: smut, unprotected p in v, oral (female receiving), soft!dom sirius, underage smoking, brief underage drinking, rough sex, pretty good sex imo, this all leads to a bigger plot i promise !!
summary: you’ve got a plan, and that plan starts with a simple shag with a simple man. sirius black.
word count: 1.6k
a/n: i used two beautiful prompts from this beautiful account @eloquentmoon and they are as followed.
11. “Louder, let me hear you”
28. “I want to have my way with you”
i listened to fat bottomed girls by queen during this and god did it help. anyway, enjoy :)
~~~
If boys could be considered easy, Sirius Black would be the easiest boy in all of Hogwarts. To shag Sirius Black, a girl only needs to meet a short list of requirements. One, she must be fit. Two, she must not be a virgin. And three by far the most important, she must be desperate for Sirius Black.
That’s why he was the first on the list. He was the easiest.
~~~
You stare in the mirror for a few seconds. Everything seems alright. Your dress is tight, your makeup is done, and most of all your plan is set. You turn to your friend and gesture to yourself.
“You’re stunning, as always. I don’t get why you’ve been insisting on doing this. What’s the goal?” Your friend says.
“Some fun I suppose.” You look at the clock on the dorm's wall. “I better be going, parties not going to last forever. Neither is Mr. Black’s smoke break.”
“Have a good time then.”
You grab your purse and start for the door. “Will do. See you tomorrow.”
After a few minutes of walking, you find Mr. Black exactly where you predicted him to be. He’s sitting on one of the benches, a cigarette between his lips. You casually step out into the moonlight, your hand rummaging through your purse. An unlit cigarette is held between two of your fingers, you make a sound of disapproval as you continue pretending to search your bag.
“All right there miss?”
You look up from your bag and shake your head. “Forgot my wand in my dorm.” You pretend to just notice the cigarette between his lips. “Mind helping a lady out with a smoke?”
“Why of course,” he answers. He gestures for you to come closer, and you gladly comply. “But I’m going to need your name first.”
“Why’s that? All I’m asking for is a quick light,” you reply.
He smirks. “If you know mine, I feel it’s only polite to know yours.”
“I don’t know yours, so we’re even. Anyway, how about that light now?”
Without another word, he pulls out his wand. You stick the cigarette between your lips and lean down. He’s surprised, you can tell from the way his eyes shift. Nevertheless, he lights the end of your cigarette. You lean back and take a long breath of smoke. It feels all too familiar in your lungs. You take a step back and pull the cigarette from your lips, exhaling a cloud of smoke.
“Y/n y/l/n.”
“Pardon?”
You look down at him. “My name, it’s y/n y/l/n. I’m from Ravenclaw, probably why you haven’t heard of me.”
“I’m Sirius Black from Gryffindor,” he replies.
“Ah Gryffindor, that’s where I’m heading actually. Heard there’s a big party up there, why aren’t you there?” You ask, sticking the cigarette between your lips again.
He shrugs. “Needed a small break. ‘Suppose it’s a good thing, right? Or else you wouldn’t have that precious fag between your lips. Perhaps it’s fate.”
“I don’t believe in that nonsense.” You pretend to check your watch. “Seems like the time is flying by. I’ve got to run before all the firewhiskey is gone.”
You drop your cigarette to the ground and smoosh it with your boot. When your eyes meet his again, you’re happy to see the slight shift. He’s curious, you can tell. Good. Curious is good. You give him a small smile.
“Nice to meet you Sirius Black from Gryffindor, ‘suppose I’ll see you up there, till then,” you say, giving him a small wink before turning on your heels and starting for the doors.
“Nice to meet you too Y/n y/l/n from Ravenclaw!” You hear him call from behind, but you don’t acknowledge it.
Phase one is done.
It’s almost an hour later when the second phase begins. You’re dancing to the beat of Queen’s newest hit, your hips swaying in a way you hope is entrancing. One or two shots of firewhiskey have been down your throat already, and you’re tempted to reach for a third, but that’s when you see him.
He’s across the room, his dark eyes practically glued to you. Despite how much you’ve planned this moment, you can’t help the butterflies that take over your stomach. Sirius Black, one of the most popular boys in the school, wants you. You lick your lips and watch as he lifts his hand, gesturing to you to go to him like he had earlier in the night.
You inhale one last breath before beginning the walk to him.
It’s the last time you’ll walk straight for a day or two.
And so, phase three begins.
~~~
You gasp as your face meets one of the pillows on his bed. You try to get back up on all fours, but it feels nearly impossible. With one of Sirius’s hands presses down on the small of your back, while the other grips one of your hips you’re lucky your legs haven’t given out yet. He fucks you relentlessly, and you’ve never loved anything more.
“Fuck Sirius,” you moan, you can’t catch your breath. Your orgasm is close. “Sirius.”
“Louder, let me hear you.” His voice is like music to your ears. “Let them all hear you love.”
“ ’M gonna cum Sirius,” you say, a bit louder than your previous words. “Fuck I’m so close please don’t stop.”
“Wasn’t planning to.”
You cum a few seconds later, your whole body shaking as you do. Sirius doesn’t falter for even a moment, making your orgasm ten times more pleasurable. When you’re done, he pulls out and flips you over onto your back. Your eyes meet and you almost audibly moan.
How could someone be so bloody handsome?
He lowers himself so he’s on top of you, his body held up by his two hands placed on either side of your head. You wrap your arms around him, and as he thrusts inside you once again, you let your nails drag down his back. He kisses your neck sloppily, causing you to whimper.
“Have you never been shagged properly?”
You can’t help the small laugh that leaves you. “I suppose not.”
“Something mustn’t be right because your pussy is by far one of the best I’ve ever had.” He presses himself so deep inside you, that you wince in pain. He’s reached your cervix. “So soft, so warm, so tight. In fact, I think I need a taste.”
He pulls out of you again and quickly kisses down your body, pausing only to suck hard on one of your nipples. After that, his tongue is on your stomach, your navel, your...
“Sirius, what are you-”
“I want to have my way with you.”
Your back arches as he begins to lick your clit. Your thighs clench around his head, and your hands move to his hair. You squeeze your eyes shut, the pleasure almost too much for you to handle. He eats you out as if he’s been starved his entire life. His lips and tongue are so soft, so warm. Your second orgasm comes far quicker than the first.
“Perfect taste.”
He begins to crawl up your body, his mouth shining with your cum. You don’t hold yourself back from kissing him, in fact, you’re the one who initiates it. You love the taste of yourself on his lips, it’s one of the most attractive things you’ve ever encountered.
After a minute or two you push him down onto the bed and crawl on top of him. From the way he’s grinning up at you, to the way his gorgeous hair is sprawled out on the mattress, you can’t help the words that slip from your mouth.
“None of the gossips ever mentioned how empowering it is to have the great Sirius Black underneath you.”
He raised a brow. “I thought you didn’t know who I am.”
“I uh...” You give him a small smile and begin to move your hips back and forth, his cock sliding between your incredibly wet folds. “I knew you didn’t know my name, so I pretended not to know yours. To make it even.”
It wasn’t a complete lie, but it also wasn’t the complete truth either.
Sirius’s eyes flutter shut, his hands moving to grip your hips. “I know your name now y/n y/l/n.”
“And you will remember it,” you reply. “Not like all those other girls whose names you forget the next morning.”
“Course not love.”
“It’s not a question.” You lift your hips and slowly begin to sink down on his cock. His fingers dig into your skin, you place your hands on his chest. “It’s a statement. I’m going to spell it out for you.”
You start to rock back and forth and up and down, just the way you know drives guys mad. Sirius is no different. Except, unlike the others, he doesn’t bother to hold back from moaning his approval. You lean down after a few minutes, so your lips are almost touching his ear, and with each movement of your hips, you say a letter of your name.
So, by the time you reach your third orgasm and Sirius reaches his first, your name is properly engraved in his head.
When everything is done and you’re both spent, he holds you in his arms. Your head rests on his chest, and you listen to his gentle heartbeat. The two of you share a cigarette in silence. It’s not uncomfortable in the slightest. Sirius Black has that effect on people.
As you stare at the wall you wonder how you’re supposed to move forward with the plan. You never expected such aftercare from the school player or such kindness during the shag. He’s a very giving lover, contrary to the popular belief that he’s simply another boy who enjoys using girls for his pleasure. You take one last long drag of the cigarette before handing it back to him and closing your eyes.
“I think I quite like you, y/n y/l/n,” he suddenly says, his voice barely above a whisper.
This plan might be harder than you thought.
You're Going To Do Great
Jessie Fleming x Reader
Summary: Jessie gets put to the ultimate test, taking care of the team baby.
Word Count: 1,407
Tumblr media
You cover your mouth, doing your best to muffle the giggle bubbling inside of you at the look on Jessie’s face. You stand behind the camera as you watch the robotic baby doll get tossed onto the table landing right in front of Jessie. You had been doing media for the Portland Thorns for the last four years, having been lucky to land an entry level position after graduating from UCLA. Which is where you had met Jessie, the two of you having been together now for eight years, married for three of them.
“What is going on?” She asks cautiously.
“One of the team predictions this year was that there would be another team baby,” you say off camera. “So far we haven’t had one so the team voted to do this, and you were selected to be the honorary mom.” You can see Jessie's nerves clear as day. It was a challenge to even get her to agree to do a video. There was no way you were going to tell her this was the plan.
“So what am I supposed to do with it?” Jessie asks, picking the doll up slowly. Turning it over towards the camera, the little Portland thorns onesie on full display.
“Well,” you start “IT’S name is Rose, and she will be spending the day with you.” You toss a ring of cards towards Jessie hoping and praying that her somewhat fast reflexes actually kick in for once. With a small sigh of relief you watch her catch them easily, well somewhat easily, the robot baby narrowly escapes being dropped on the ground.
“All day?” Jessie’s eyes go wide as she stares past the camera into your eyes.
“All day,” you confirm. “But you’ll have this to aid you,” you toss yet another item at Jessie, the bright blue baby sling landing in front of her in a heap. “And those cards will be your life line, each one represents something different, feeding, changing, burping etcetera. There is also a panic card but trust me you don’t want to use it.”
“How am I supposed to train with it?” Jessie asks as she fiddles with the baby sling.
“You’ll figure it out Jessie, by the end of the day you're going to love ROSE.” You emphasize as the freckled woman glares at you.
“Fine,” she grumbles, “Come help me with this,” she says as the camera is shut off, the baby sling hanging limply in her hand. With a soft smile on your face you go over to help her clip the robotic baby in. “Maybe this will be good practice,” Jessie whispers her hand resting gently on your slightly swollen abdomen. You were only four months along and no one on the team was aware of the impending arrival of baby Fleming, but you were ok with that. The two of you holding your notoriously very private status like a badge of honor.
“I’m sure you’ll do amazing, just like with everything else,” You affirm as you brush her hair aside to clip the top of the sling.
Tumblr media
The camera crew follows Jessie around for the rest of the day, capturing every moment they can. You personally watch from your office window that faces down onto the training pitch. You laugh to yourself as you watch her attempt to leave the baby on the side lines, but the robotic screaming starts almost instantly. Jessie rushes to try and stop the crying, tapping every card on the ring multiple times until you see her visibly relax. Her teammates chirping at her as she heads back on to the pitch.
You know for a fact that she has set off the panic card multiple times, the app connected to your phone alarming multiple times as she franctiled tried to get the screaming to stop. You watch as practice comes to a pause. Pushing away from your desk you slowly make your way down to the pitch.
“Y/N,” shouts Olivia, the young girl attaching herself to your hip the second you're in sight. The much younger girl having become like a younger sister over the years as you took on a caregiver role while on the road.
“Shhhhhh,” Jessie hisses at her “It just got quiet lets please not set it… “a loud screech echoes across the stadium. “Off.” Jessie sighs heavily as she digs out the cards again, starting the process of tapping every card not even taking a second to look at which was which.
“Jessie, shouldn’t you be looking at the cards.” Olivia quips. “I don’t know if they didn’t have these in Canada but the more you hit it with the wrong card the worse your score is.”
“IT'S SCORED?” Jessie asks panicked, turning towards you like you’ve betrayed her.
“I told you to not hit it willy-nilly with the cards didn’t I,” Your eyebrow raised in question.
“But you didn’t say I would be scored,” she exclaims.
“Well,” you start, eyeing the cameras around you, “you might want to start making up for it, you might be able to redeem yourself before the end of day.”
“Come on Jessie I raised you to be better to kids then that,” Sincy says patting the younger woman on the back as they head in for lunch.
“If you think you’d be so good at it you take the baby then,” Jessie grunts in frustration as she shoves the plastic baby into the older womens arms. “I just need a minute away from the screaming.” Before Sincy can object Jessie is darting off into the cafeteria.
Tumblr media
By the end of the afternoon your phone has gone off another five times, the notifications popping up indicating that Jessie has yet again messed up and used the panic card. You take your time making your way to the locker room, meeting up with the camera crew along the way. You knock before entering the locker room, the screaming robot baby being all you can hear as people start to pack up for the night. Jessie having shoved the baby under a pile of pennies to try and muffle some of the screams.
“I don’t think that suffocating the baby bodes well for your score,” Your voice causes Jessie to jump suddenly as she whirls around to look at you. Her hand shooting into the pile of pennies to retrieve the robot.
“I….” Jessie stammers.
“It’s okay, give me the doll.” Your hand stretched out to take the screaming doll from her. Quickly flipping it over and turning it off.
“She could have just turned it off all day?” Sophia shouts from across the locker room.
“She could have,” you start with a smirk “but it wouldn’t have ended well for her if she had.” Jessies normally red cheeks flush even brighter. “Now, who here wants to know what Jessie scored on caring for our lovely Rose here?”
“ME!” Exclaims a good portion of the crowd gathered in the room, the cameras panning across the grinning faces before settling on a flustered Jessie.
“Mrs Fleming here has scored an impressive,” you pause for a moment to raise the intensity “57 percent, not too good there Mrs Fleming, looks like you might have some learning to still do.” You can make out a few digs and laughs in the locker room, most of them poking fun at Jessie for being as smart as she is. You hear quite a few questioning if that's the lowest grade she's ever gotten.
You check behind you to be sure the cameras are off before making your way over to the shorter brunette, her cheeks bright red and eyes turned downward. She doesn’t necessarily look upset, more so uncomfortable with all the attention on her.
“Am I really going to be that bad?” She questions quietly, her eyes moving to meet yours. “Am I going to break our baby,” her voice even quieter than before, wanting to maintain this secret from everyone for as long as possible.
“Jessie Alexandra Fleming you are going to do great, amazing even. Trust me, I wouldn’t have a baby with anyone but you.” Your hand takes hers, your thumb gently running across the back of her hand.
“Really?” She asked.
“Really,” you say gently, leaning down to place a soft kiss to her lips, her cheeks instantly flaming even more brightly at the very very rare show of affection in public.
parental death mention
Billy received a devastating phone call from an executor, asking if they could meet at an office in town regarding his mother.
Billy didn’t need to know much else, except the fact that it was about his mother and it was urgent.
When he got to the office, he was given an urn, an apology, a vague explanation, and a check.
His mother died, and there was no chance of him ever seeing her again.
Billy stood in front of his car, emotionless and confused, staring down at the urn as memories of being in her arms flashed through his mind.
And the only way he can hold her close is by clutching her urn to his chest. But the warmth was gone and he could never hope to feel it again.
He stared down at it, longingly, as if he was staring into her eyes. The sand casted urn is blonde just like her hair, iridescent and sparkling in a way he remembered the shore of the beach on their last happy day together.
He walked, ever so slowly back to Cherry Lane, his heart heavy from the terrible news and the uncertainty of what would happen once he arrived home with the urn.
Would Neil take it away? Would he smash it right in front of him? He dreaded what the near future held.
“So…” He awkwardly began. “Nice to uh…see you again. Not what I ever imagined but…I guess death is inevitable, and we can’t predict when it will come and get us.” Billy sighed. “I hate that you’re gone. We’re not even on the same planet anymore. At least when you were alive, the fact that we lived on the same earth gave me hope. Now…now that’s just gone. What’m I supposed to do?”
He could hear a car approaching behind and glared over when it slowed down beside him.
“You okay?”
Harrington? Why would he fucking ask that? He doesn’t care.
“I never see you on foot. Did your car break down somewhere—“
“No. I’m good. I don’t need anything.”
“What’re you carrying?” Steve asked, slowly driving beside him.
“Why’re you in my business, Harrington? We’re not even friends.”
“I’m asking because…I didn’t wanna assume but—i-it looks similar to my nana’s urn.”
Billy stopped walking, his head hanging down. “It’s my mom.” He replied despondently.
“Your mom? Jesus, I’m so sorry, man. D’you wanna talk or—“
“I told you, I’m fine.” Billy chuckled it off. “I haven’t seen her since I was 9. I don’t even care that much that she’s gone.”
Steve didn’t buy that for a second. He noticed the way Billy hung his head down and clutched the urn so close to his body like a scared child holding a teddy bear.
“Billy, your house is 20 minutes from here by foot, and mine is on the way. Why don’t you just let me drive you—“
“I’m not in a rush to go home, Harrington. Just leave me alone.” He continued walking, speeding up slightly.
“Fine.” Steve sped off.
Billy wasn’t sure why, but he felt a tinge of guilt for pushing Steve away, until he realized Steve was parking up ahead and getting out of his car.
He froze when Steve began to run toward him.
“If you’re gonna walk, I’ll just walk with you.”
“Why?”
“Because your mom died, man. And the fact that you didn’t try to punch me earlier says a lot.”
“I just didn’t wanna drop my mom’s urn, or I would’ve punched you.”
Steve smirked, nodding in understanding. “Fair enough. I guess I’m being annoying.”
“A little.” Billy mumbled.
“Only a little?”
“Do you want me to say that you’re getting on my fucking nerves instead?”
“Nah. A little annoying is fine.”
They continued to walk together in silence, when Billy stopped.
“I don’t wanna go home.”
“How come? Don’t you wanna safely store your mom’s—“
“It’s not safe there. Even in death, mom’s not safe under Neil’s roof. He’ll probably break it in front of me then make me sweep up her ashes.” His lip began to tremble at the thought.
“Hey, man, we’re not gonna let that happen, okay? My car’s right here.” He pointed. “We can go to my house. My parents never come upstairs and there’s a nice place we can set her urn. Nobody’ll mess with it and you can come see her whenever you want.”
“Why are you doing this for me?” Billy questioned.
“I already told you. Your mom died. I’m not gonna kick a man while he’s down. That’s your thing.”
Billy chuckled, causing Steve to smile.
“So whaddya say? Wanna come back to casa Harrington and give your mom a safe place?”
Billy nodded. “Under one condition.”
“Hm?”
“Never call your house ‘casa Harrington’ again.”
Steve laughed. “Alright, alright. Deal.”
—
Steve drove Billy to his house and showed him to a marble console table at the end of the hallway.
There wasn’t anything on it, except for an old copy of Gone With The Wind.
“This was her favorite book.” Billy mentioned, setting the urn down beside the book.
He stood back and reached into his pocket for a small seashell to place next to her urn.
“Hm…” Steve hummed pensively.
“What?”
“No, it’s just…I dunno, her urn’s like…lopsided. I don’t want it to fall over.
Billy stood back, noticing the way her urn didn’t rest flat on the surface like it was supposed to.
“Maybe there’s something under it.” Steve suggested.
Billy lifted the urn. There was nothing on the table, so he felt the bottom of the urn, noticing a strange bump beneath the felt.
He carefully peeled away at the felt, startled when a square fell to the floor by his feet.
He set his mother’s urn down and focused his attention on the square.
“Is that a…floppy disk?” Steve asked as Billy picked the black square up off the floor.
“Yeah. D’you have a computer?”
“I do but uh—are you sure we should like…actually open that?”
Billy narrowed his eyes. “Why the hell not? It could be a special message from my mom.”
“Because! What if it, I dunno, self destructs or something.”
“My mom wasn’t a fucking spy, shit-for-brains. Show me where your computer is.” Billy demanded.
“Fine.”
Steve led Billy to his computer and Billy inserted the floppy disk into the drive.
The floppy only contained two files. A photo, and an audio file.
Billy opened the photo first, frowning deeply.
“Cute kid. That you?”
“Yeah, it’s…me and my mom at the beach.”
“Aw, you look so happy. Look at that big bright smile. And your mom, she was…she was super pretty, man. You look just like her.”
“You callin’ me pretty?” He glanced over at Steve.
Steve gulped, his eyes shifting away. “Well I mean you called me pretty before! So what’s it matter?”
Billy answered with a shrug, returning his attention to the computer.
“You got headphones?”
“Yeah, check the drawer right there.”
Billy pulled the drawer handle and peered inside. He quickly grabbed the headphones, disregarding the condoms in the drawer beside it.
He plugged the headphones in and listened to the audio file.
“Hello, Billy. If you’re listening to this, it means I’ve passed on, which is…so unfortunate, but I learned I have cancer, and the more I struggle, the more I become aware of how little time I have left. It pains me everyday, Billy. I wish we had more time together. I’m sure you grew up to become a fine young man.”
There was a pause in the audio. Billy could hear soft sniffles.
“And I want you to continue to grow. But I’ve learned some disturbing news, about your father…have you ever wondered why we had so many nice things, even on your father’s salary? I wasn’t working, and yet I was always able to keep the finest foods on the table, and buy you the most expensive clothing. You were probably too young to think anything of it. Before you were born, your father was an active duty soldier. Now, he’s a resident spy. He has been engaging in espionage for several years and feeding classified data to Russians. You have moved very close to a secret Russian military base. I’m not sure where in Hawkins the military base is located, but this is all the information I’ve gathered over the years. I need you to promise me. Promise me. You will get away from your father before he gets you killed. I love you so much, sweetie. Take care and be safe. And…I am so sorry. I hope you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me.”
When the audio message ended, Billy removed the headphones and stared at the screen, wide-eyed.
“Billy? Everything okay?”
He slowly turned to Steve, still in disbelief. “Hey, Harrington. Can I trust you?”
“Y—what?”
“Can I trust you?”
Steve nodded. “Yeah. You can trust me.”
“My mom said my dad’s a spy. He’s been spying for the Russian military and that’s why we moved here. She thinks he’s gonna get me killed.”
“Holy shit…” Steve quietly whispered. “We need to talk to Hop.”
“What? No!” Billy shouted. “You said I could trust you!”
“Listen!” Steve exclaimed. “Hop’s been taking care of this kid, her name’s El, short for Eleven. She used to live in the Hawkins National Lab. She—she’s got powers and she was used as like a-a radio to spy on the Russian military.”
“Nah.” Billy laughed. “No that’s bullshit—“
“It’s not. I swear. You trust me, right? Then come with me.”
Billy shrugged. “I dunno about this.”
“Look This town’s got a lot of secrets. Really…weird secrets. I think it’s time you find out everything we know.”
“We? We who?”
Steve shrugged. “Sinclair, Henderson, Wheeler…Max.”
“Max?! That little shit knows things?!”
“Yes! And I tried to tell you that night we fought but you didn’t wanna hear me out.”
“It wasn’t my fault!” Billy argued.
“I know! I know! Now we…we’ve gotta figure this shit out.” Steve grabbed a walkie talkie. “We’ve got a code red. Everybody meet at the quarry ASAP.”
“Copy that!” Dustin responded.
Steve returned his attention to Billy. “Let’s go. It’s time for you to learn the truth.”
Part Fifteen
I sat in the bed of a truck on the highway and stared at the ground as Joel searched the abandoned cars and trucks for anything we could find for the journey back to Jackson.  I picked at the dead, bloodstained skin around my fingernails as my feet swung back and forth in front of me. The sun was warm on the back of my head but the air was still chilled from the past snow. I was pulled from my dissociative state by Joel calling out my name. I whirled around to see him walking towards me with a grimace on his face from the blinding sun. “Did you hear me?” He asked. “No. What?” I responded weakly. “Well I found this in there. Beefaroni, Chef Boyardee.” He said as he held up a worn out can. “Oh… Cool.” I said as enthusiastically as possible. He hesitated before pulling out another box and moving closer to me. “Alright. We’re making good time. We should try to cover as much as we can before it gets dark.” He said as he handed me the can to put in his bag that I’d been guarding. I nodded, “Got it.”
As we walked, Joel continued to fill the silence, “Think they had a guitar in that RV. Was all smashed up but- got me thinkin’... Maybe I should find one. I haven’t played in forever.” I looked at him. My surprise was muted, but still genuine. “You played guitar?” He nodded and turned his gaze up ahead. “I’ve always wanted to learn how to play.” I said quietly, almost purposefully so that wouldn’t hear me, but he did. “I could teach you… If you’d still want to when we get back.” He offered awkwardly. I felt the warmth of a blush reaching my cheeks, “I’d like that.”
Despite our innocent and light conversation, there was still a heaviness between us. Joel obviously knew something had happened in that restaurant but he was dancing around that fact. I couldn’t blame him because I was too. I wanted to tell him what happened, but I didn’t know how to start. There was no easy or comforting way to say “My brother was chopped into little pieces and fed to cannibals by an evil cult leader then that same man tried to violate me as the building burnt down around us.” Joel and I had no choice but to be vulnerable with each other at times, but this felt different. This was a whole other level that went above being drunk around him, or almost dying on him multiple times. This wasn’t something one of his peace offerings could fix. This was something he would just have to let run its course.
As the scenery changed from highway to a university campus, he began to speak again. He blurted out his ideas for making our way through, and I nodded along, barely retaining anything but I knew I would be okay as long as I stayed close behind.
We came upon tents that had medical symbols on them, and Joel said aloud, “Emergency medical camps. They obviously didn’t last. They had me in one just like this.” I looked around before returning my gaze to him, “With Sarah?” He shook his head, “No she was gone already.” I nodded before questioning again, “What were you in here for?” I turned around, realizing he’d stopped in his tracks a few paces ago. His head was turned towards the ground and he mumbled, “‘Member when I said I’d almost lost my life when my daughter died?” My heart dropped as I predicted what he was about to say. He sat down on a concrete block feet away from him, and I moved to perch myself next to him. I stared at him intently, showing him I was listening. “There’s no story,” He said dismissively before continuing, “Sarah died and I couldn’t see the point anymore. Simple as that. And I wasn’t scare either… I was ready. But when I-” he pause and made an unreadable gesture with his hands, “When I went to pull the trigger, I flinched. Still don’t know why.”
I was speechless. I felt like I’d known what his story was all this time, but hearing him tell it outright was all the more painful. I sat there and my hand instinctively moved to rest on his knee. His hand slid on top of mine and squeezed gently. My eyes began to swim with tears as I leaned my head into him. “Well I’m glad… that didn’t work out.” I whimpered, my voice thick with tears. I couldn’t see his face, but I could hear the same thickness in his voice as he responded, “Me too.” Before we could get too emotional, I wiped the stray tear off of my cheek and sat up. “We should probably get going.” I choked. He nodded as we both stood and continued our trekk through the campus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After walking absentmindedly for what seemed like hours, Joel called out from ahead of me, “We should see if this house is clear and rest for the night.” I nodded and followed after him towards the front steps. He went in before me and cleared both floors before waving me in.
David had taken my bag from me, so I watched as Joel dropped his on the ground and began to rummage through it. “Hungry?” He asked as he pulled out a package of jerky and flung it my way. Again, I should have been hungry, but the thought of eating made me sick to my stomach. I shook my head and slid down the wall before leaning my head back against it with a thump. His stare lingered as I did so, and I could feel the weight of the questions he was begging to ask.
I still didn’t have the energy to formulate an explanation, but after his confession to me earlier, I felt like I owed to him. His concern for me was also obvious in his furrowed eyebrows and clenched jaw. I cleared my throat and rubbed the fabric of my jeans between my fingers before speaking, “He didn’t… do what it looked like he did. If that’s what you’re worried about.” I uttered uncomfortably. Joel’s jaw clenched even harder and he nodded, “Good.”
He bit off a piece of jerky before pushing the package towards me. I picked it up and stared at the dark brown, scaly strips of meat. My hand started to tremble and I became ill at the sight of it. I tossed it back at him and folded my knees against my chest as my hot tears formed in my eyes. He stared at me with the same look of concern on his face, only more intense. I sighed and prepared myself to explain. “That group… they were-“ He cut me off, “Cannibals. I know.” I looked at him briefly and nodded before speaking again, “and the leader, David said that they…” I swallowed down the bile in my throat before continuing, “He insinuated that they ate him. Ate Matthew.” I stuttered. His face dropped and his chewing halted. The piece of jerky in his hand fell to the floor with a soft thud. “My god..” he stuttered as he dropped his head into his hands.
 A few moments passed as we quietly rested in the moonlit cabin. Night had fallen, but I figured it was pointless to try to sleep. David’s chilling words played over and over in my head. “Let’s just say… his life will help many others to prosper.”  Each time his voice would echo through, another wave of queaziness would hit. As much as I would have liked to process my brother’s death, I desperately needed another distraction.
 “How did you know they were cannibals?” I asked as soon as the question popped into my brain. “I… questioned* a few people when I was tryin’ to find you.” He answered. The way he paused before saying “questioned” let me know that the actual situation was not as formal. “You questioned people?” I repeated. He nodded, keeping his lips in a tight line. “Well… more like interrogated.” He finally admitted. “Did these people survive the interrogation?” I asked, partially from curiosity and the concern of someone seeking revenge on Joel for killing more members or David’s cult. “Don’t know,” he said, “Soon as they pointed to where you were on the map I took it and ran.” Despite its heaviness, my heart fluttered at Joel’s words. I was still adjusting to having another person looking out for me, especially with the fact that it was Joel, the man I never expected to become this close to.
“You should try to get some sleep.” He said, quickly changing the subject. I shook my head, feeling the heat of tears forming behind my eyes. The thought of laying down and becoming vulnerable again terrified me. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust Joel to keep watch, it was the fact that every time I blinked I saw the sick look on that vile man’s face as he unbuttoneed his pants. I knew, if I could even get a wink of sleep, that he would come back to haunt me in my nightmares.
“It’s okay, I promise I’ll keep watch. I have coffee.” He said again, trying to convince me. “No… You don’t understand.” I whimpered. His silence and empathetic stare had pulled me to a huge realization. It was then that I remembered our conversation earlier. Joel had suffered a loss just as great, if not greater. Joel had lost his daughter. “How did you do it?” I asked, my voice becoming hoarse from tears. “Do what?” He questioned weakly. “How did you get through it?” My vision of him was shrouded by darkness, but I heard his breath catch in his throat. I chewed at the inside of my cheek as I desperately awaited his advice. As if all of the emotions I was feeling were gushing out of me from an open wound, and his words would be the sutures that would aid my survival. “I know it was dark at first… you told me. But you got through it. Please tell me how.” I begged. “ I learned that you keep going for those who are still here, for those who still need you. For me, back then, it was family. You and I may not be family, but we’re here for each other. That’s got to count for something.”
I sucked in a deep breath as his words blanketed me. Joel alone would most definitely not fill the void of my beloved brother entirely, but he was here vowing to help me through the loss of him. He cared about me, and regarded my life as he did his own family’s, and I’d begun to function the same way. I had him and he had me.
“Thank you, Joel.” I said quietly. Instead of a verbal response, I heard shuffling along the floorboards, and then felt his back hit the wall next to mine. I placed a hand out onto the floor to feel where he was, and made contact with his pant leg. His calloused hand wrapped around mine and pull it to rest on his knee as he squeezed it gently. My weary head dropped down to rest on his firm, yet comforting shoulder. “I’ve got you.” He whispered before leaning his head down and gently touching it to mine. “I’ve got you too.” I whispered back. The exhaustion of the day weighed my eyelids down. Joel’s words and the comfort of his touch made me feel safe enough to close them.
That night, I was safe from David, from infected, and any other threats. My dreams were filled with my best memories of Matthew. The strawberry plants again, painting over our crayon drawings on the walls of our rooms before we moved out of our childhood home, his high school graduation, prank calling our friends and so much more.

a/n: I have a confession to make: I definitely might have been sweating from my eyes while writing the last part.:’)  We needed some fluff and healing after all of the angst as well as in preparation for what is ahead. As always, let me know what you think and thank you thank you thank you for reading and for all of the support !! See you next Monday. <3
“*”: This line is most definitely referring to the “WHAT TOWWWNNNN”  scene in episode 9. If you don’t know what I’m talking about look it up bc it’s important (and hot.)

I am fully cooking btw like I know I said it's coming soon but I wanna finish the game and get them Right before I post so for now. They are solving a mystery. Jen is having several gay revelations at once. Coming soon to an ao3 near you (once I finish the game)
What fully pushes her over the edge, though, is the sight of Dessa Banks sitting in her (thrifted) office chair, spinning around in slow circles and making the whole place reek of cigarette smoke.
When Banks spots her, her face, well it doesn't brighten up, because that would imply she smiles (Banks doesn't smile ever. Except when she's rooting for Spiteful Jen to win out.) but her eyebrows lift and her face settles into something that might, maybe, given enough time to grow, be a smile.
“Good, you're finally back. Someone has been killing my clients.” Banks announces.
“Isn't that… your job?” Jen asks, feeling on the back foot already. You'd think after everything they've been through, she would be a little better at predicting Banks but all the foresight in the world can't help her when it comes to the doctor.
“No,” Banks nods to the cork board, where she's put up a series of grisly crime scene photos, “before I get there.”
Jen steps up, dropping the Medili fried noodles she got for herself and Darrell on the desk as she dodges around it. “Forgive me for my ignorance of how your underground mob doctor thing works, but isn't that also usually how it goes?” The cork board is set up just like how she would do it, neat crime scene photos arranged in columns denoting the first, second, and third victims, along with handwritten notes from Banks about the victims and what they were doing when they contracted her services.
“More than an hour before I get there. One hour and five minutes before I get there, to be exact.” Banks says. Her voice always does this thing when she says words like exact or specifically or other hot doctor words and—there's a crime going on Jen, now is not the time to gay panic.
She focuses on the crime scene photos, since that's safer than the shape of Banks' mouth.
“How can you tell the exact time?” She asks. The crime scene photos Banks has so generously provided are gruesome, and probably taken by her cell phone if the quality is anything to go by. The man in the first set of photos is laid out on a couch, his throat torn in ways that has Jen rubbing her own throat in sympathy.
“I can feel them slip away, just barely, when I get onto the scene,” Banks says, “It’s…” she trails off, “I haven’t been in the business of losing patients recently and my reputation is suffering.” She finishes. Jen chances a glance behind her at Banks only to see the doctor staring unseeing at the floor, hand tapping at her leg.
Banks doesn’t like it when you admit she’s a human being with thoughts and feelings beyond murder and revival, so best to snap her out of this with the patented Jen Keller distraction method.

Boots

set: alexandria, you got separated when the prison fell.

FLUFF!!!!!!!! i <3 fluff. this is my first fic pls be nice to me 🥹
————————————————————————
Y/N’s POV
I’ve been walking for months with nothing but a near empty backpack and boots that are far too big for my feet. The last time I slept with four walls was a long time ago at the prison. I haven’t even fully began to process what happened, I simply haven’t had the time.
When this whole thing started, I was visiting my brother in Atlanta. I didn’t know when my parents dropped me off at the airport in Michigan would be the last time I saw them. I lost my family, well everyone but Glenn, but after enough time I gained a new one.
The people I met in Atlanta, the ones that made in to the Greene farm, were some of the best people I had come across in my life. I never thought I would enjoy chilly nights eating rabbits, oddly enough I had one as a pet when growing up. Glenn never failed to remind me when I would be eating one, which led Daryl to tease me about it every time he brought one home. “This one look like yours?” He would always bring it to me first. I turned away quickly. “Stop!” I covered my eyes. I think a smile would curl from his lips. I would almost laugh out of anger. I knew every time he did this, he would come right to me to rub it in my face. “I wish I never told you about Thumper.” I said, basically talking into my shoulder. I turned to him on the log I was sitting on, still covering my eyes but peeking in between my fingers. “I ain’t ever gonna let you live this down.” I sighed, while he turned on his heel and walked away.
Glenn was sitting opposite of me, with Maggie of course. “Whatever happened to the little guy?” Glenn asked, his fingers intertwined with Maggie. Couldn’t even begin to believe my big brother found love at a time like this. I went back to building the fire, slower than before in hopes the archer would make a joke about it. “I dunno, after like five years I’m pretty sure he died, but mom said he ran away. Either way, he got a better fate than he would now.” I replied, staring into the dimming fire. I’m sure Maggie said something about rabbits on the farm, but that’s where the memory stops.
The farm being overrun was something inevitable, especially after we found out walkers were living in the barn. I’ll never forget standing there with Daryl, as he ran to Carol to stop her from going after Sophia. I don’t think he will ever forget that either. I know he blames himself, no matter how many times I said it wasn’t his fault. He would hold his head in his hands and I would rub his back, telling him ‘it’s ok’. He would shake his head and always reply no, or more like “Nah.” I just wanted to be there for him and take away his pain.
Speaking of pain, my feet were throbbing. I have been walking on this road for what feels like years. I don’t even know how much time has passed since the prison fell. I think living there was the happiest I had ever been. Our small family from the farm turned into a full on community. We farmed, had animals, kids went to a sort of school (if that’s what Carol wants to call it), and so much more. Runs were sort of fun, although Daryl never wanted me to go. One time, Glenn, Maggie, and I went on a run and promised to be home by sundown, as usual. I was hardcore third wheeling, but that was my brother and Maggie had become my sister. We were singing in the car, celebrating the canned foods we had found in an abandoned mini-van. Laughing, it almost felt normal. It was night when we returned, since we went a bit farther than we predicted. Rick, Tyreese, and of course, Daryl were waiting at the gate as we pulled up. They looked worried sick but I think the three of us were grinning ear to ear. When I stepped out of the car, unscathed, I saw the archer sigh in relief. “Don’t tell me you were worried Daryl, how sweet!” I teased him, handing him a crate of food. He huffed a quick “whatever” and I turned away and smiled. I think he saw me smile, I hoped he did. I never did tell him about the warm way he made me feel, quite literally warm. I was constantly cold, and he would always be bringing me back blankets or jackets. He even replaced my beaten converse with boots. Boots that were too big, but boots none the less. I also never told him they didn’t really fit, but I loved them too much to find a new pair.
The sun was glaring in my eyes. I laughed at the fact that pre-end of the world, I would have wanted sunglasses to avoid wrinkles from squinting. Even though nowadays, all everyone does is squint. I say everyone as if I have seen a single person since all those weeks ago. Feels like a lifetime has passed.
I decided to take a turn down a road with lots of tire tracks. Maybe I could actually find some sort of shed for the night in a few hours. Cook my very own rabbit. Daryl would be proud. At this very thought, I heard a rustle in the woods. I quickly grabbed my knife strapped to my hip. It indeed was a walker. It growled as it slowly made its way from the forest floor towards me. I walked up to it, shoved my knife into its grey skull, and kicked it back into the forest floor.
I brushed the hair out of my face after putting the knife back in a belt loop. “Where am I supposed to put it?” I asked, as Glenn handed me the knife I carry now. He walked away, passing other weapons out from a run he came back from. Those strong, warm arms came from behind me, with a soft grunt he took the knife from my hands and spun me around, wrapping his fingers through the loops on back of my jeans. His dark hair covering his eyes, he looked through the hair at me. Lifting the knife up for me to see, he slid it through a belt loop. “Got it?” He asked. I nodded in reply, my cheeks red with the fact his hands were still on my waist.
I couldn’t take these memories anymore. For all I knew, they were all dead. Or if some weren’t, they assumed I was. I’m sure of it. My family was gone, again. And I couldn’t help but blame myself.
I don’t want to replay that day in my head with what I could have done differently. That heartbreak would kill me. So I kept moving.
As I kept walking, I could swear I heard children laughing. A noise hard to come by these days, and even harder now after being alone. I surely wouldn’t recognize myself with the knotted hair, covered in dirt and blood, some of it was mine.
I picked up the pace, almost as if I was expecting children to come run and laugh by me. I looked around and saw down the road lots of cars lined up. People had to have done that. Survivors had to have done that. I think I was running at this point, I couldn’t tell. My feet have been numb since the last time I slept.
Around the corner from these cars, I saw a wall with a sign that read “ALEXANDRIA”. Holy shit. A town. With walls. I knew walking up to the gates was a bad idea, but at this point if they shot me, they shot me.
My brother was gone, with his wife who became my best friend. Our leader was gone. Same with his son and baby that I had grown extremely close to. The archer, too. And I wouldn’t admit it, but I love that archer.
I walked up the gates, my feet were stunned I had stopped moving. I quietly knocked, with a coarse “Hello?” I hadn’t talked in days, the last drink was from a river probably a day ago.
A man with a dark mullet and khaki shorts opened the gates ever so slightly. “Who are you?” He asked.
“My name is Y/N, is this your community?” I was basically begging. I was fighting tears from welling up in my eyes. A real person.
“I’m not at the liberty to discuss that with you.” He replied sternly. He looked around, as if someone was going to give him an answer. He held a large gun, clearly he didn’t know how to use it. I was frustrated, and I could take him down if need be, but I was going to be civil about this.
“What is it, Eugene?” someone asked him from behind the gate. I swear I’ve heard the voice before, but I thought it was pure exhaustion fueling my delusion/
“One moment, please hand over your weapons.” The man, assumingely named Eugene said. I handed him my knife and my pistol, that maybe had one bullet left in it. Just as quickly as he opened them, he closed the gates. I still had my pocket knife in my backpack. One of those tourists ones with your name on it. Daryl brought it back for me on a run once, and I’ve never used it. Just kept it, like a token.
“I know this knife.” The faceless voice gasped. Now, instead of just the solid wall, both parts of the gates opened and there she was.
Maggie. Maggie Rhee. Tears in her eyes as she held the knife at her waist, her wedding ring my brother gave her shining in the sun. “Y/N?” she said at an almost whisper. I went to reply, but no words came out. Those tears I had been fighting came out in full force as she crossed over to hug me. Her hand at the back of my head as we knelt to the ground to hold each other. Maggie was here, Glenn had to be. And if they were, who knows who else had made it.
I cried into her shoulder for a moment, until she grabbed my face to brush the hair out of my eyes. “I can’t believe it’s really you.” I smiled back at her, bringing her in for another hug. After a few more minutes of tears, we pulled away, stood up, and shut the gates behind us. “Wait here.” she said, running into a house.
I stood there, wiping tears with my shirt. “I’m Eugene.” the mullet man said. Staring awkwardly at me. “Hi.” I said back, taking a deep breath. He went to say something else before someone came out of the house with Maggie, her hands covering his eyes.
I slowly walked towards them. My heart dropped to my stomach and I swear the world stopped. Maggie used her other hand to say ‘Shhh’ to me. I could barely keep it together when she finally removed her hand from his eyes. It was Glenn.
Before he realized it was me I had already gone to hug him. Crying into his thin shirt and sinking to the street. “Oh my God.” he said in reply, coming back down with me, doing the exact same thing Maggie had done. He kissed my forehead and I felt his tears drop onto my head.
“I’m so sorry.” I cried to him. “I’m so sorry, I should’ve listened, I should’ve stayed with you.” He shook his head, sniffled and pulled away. “It doesn’t matter anymore, Y/N. I’m here. Your family is here.” He picked me up from the ground and Maggie came in to hug us again, going to kiss Glenn and wipe his tears. We all sort of exchanged ‘how on earth did you survive’ and ‘you look like shit’ before they took me walking up the street, careful not to tell me about anyone who had died, but who was here. Rick, the kids, Michonne, Carol, Sasha, some people named Tara, Rosita, Abraham, who had come with Eugene. I was in complete disbelief of an entire neighborhood that was safe.
None of them were outside, so seeing me was going to be a surprise, but they had skipped over a certain archer I was missing. While we came up to the porch that Glenn said was Rick’s, I found myself asking if Daryl was here. The couple exchanged looks. Fear took over as I assumed the worst, until Maggie took my hand and nodded. “He’s here, too. Been looking for you for weeks, actually.” My stomach was full of butterflies, even though it had been empty for weeks.
“He was looking for me?” I asked in disarray, the tears that had finally stopped were going to start all over again. My stomach dropped. He searched for Sophia everyday, all day. He never stopped and the heartbreak he has was unbearable. He was sure it was his fault she was gone, and he hadn’t looked hard enough. Glenn nodded. “Ever since,” he looked at Maggie, who looked away onto the street, his voice now lowered “ever since Beth died, he hasn’t been the same.” My heart had broken into a million little pieces. I squeezed Maggie’s hand, quickly saying I was sorry before she assured me she was going to be okay.
Another death that Daryl would blame himself for. I’m certain of that. Probably blamed himself for me running off too.
I followed the pair inside to where Rick was holding Judith on the couch. My first thought honestly was, holy shit a COUCH.
He stood up and smiled, quick to hug me with Judith propped on his hip. He kissed my cheek and brought me in close. I buried my face in his shirt, kissing Judith after. His shirt smelled of fresh laundry, a smell I hadn’t known for a long time. Rick was the most fearless man I had ever met, and I’d be dead without him. All of us would be.
“You’re here.” he broke the silence. I nodded, wiping my tears away. “Don’t know how, but I’m here.” I replied. He smiled again, looking up the stairs to Carl. He raced down them and tackled me into a hug.
“Y/N, I thought you were gone!” He exclaimed. I wanted to reply I thought I was gone too, but instead just laughed. “You couldn’t get rid of me that easy, kid.” playfully knocking his hat off his head. He laughed and flicked me back. “Daryl is not going to believe this.”
My eyes grew to the size of saucers. I was bursting at the seams. I wanted to see him more than I needed a shower at this point. I was looking out the window Rick was seated in front of when I said “Speaking of Daryl, where is he? Where’s everyone, I need to-“ The question didn’t matter anymore. There he was on the street, looking directly through the window. Almost through me. He took a few steps back, as if he was going to take off running. Like I was a ghost.
If anyone said anything to me, I couldn’t be sure. My legs carried me out the door and down the stairs, and into his strong arms. Arms I hadn’t felt in a long, long time. The ones that held me late at night when I was cold, the ones who taught me how to shoot, even shot his crossbow once, the ones I cried into when we lost the farm, the ones I took naps on during long car rides. Home. I was home.
We didn’t say anything to each other. He had dropped his crossbow in the road where he was now holding me, face snuggled into my neck. He was crying. I reached up to rub the back of his head with my hand. “Been awhile, huh?” I whispered, sarcastically, desperately trying to break the silence. He pulled away, tears hidden under his overgrown hair. “Thought I lost ya” He put his forehead against mine. I closed my eyes and smiled. “Never.” I said, placing my hands on his face. His response was the same, putting his hands on mine and giving me the gentlest kiss to ever touch my lips.
Didn’t think the entire community had to watch this go down, especially since that was our first kiss, but it makes for a fun story now. We both sniffled and looked into each others eyes, his blue ones glistening with tears. “Didn’t know I had to go missing for you to kiss me like that, Daryl.” Hearing myself say his name made my heart skip a beat.
He broke eye contact and looked towards the ground. “See ya kept those boots.” he remarked. I pulled his gaze back up to meet mine.
“I thought after long enough they could bring me home.”

The first time you met him, you did have to forgive him.
Most people didn’t know how to react when they met you, not expecting someone in your…position, to be doing the job that you were. For the most part you’d given up being mad about it - people either realised very quickly that your disability didn’t affect your job at all, or they felt the sharp end of your tongue and scuttled off with their tail between their legs, so to speak.
You were busy concentrating when Nat brought him into the room where you were working, but not so engrossed in your work that you didn’t register the arrival of new people. Your fingers were flying over the keyboard, typing out your code, and you knew that Nat would wait for you to finish before introducing you to whoever she’d brought into your sanctum. You pressed ‘enter’ and turned your chair towards her and your new guest, lifting your chin and tilting your head to the side as if regarding them - an action left over from when it made a difference.
“Hey, Nat! Good to see you. What brings you to my neck of the basement? And who’s the fresh meat?”
You grinned at the same time that she chuckled.
“Do I need an excuse to come and spend time with my favourite Oracle?”
You rolled your eyes at the nickname.
“I’ve told you before - I don’t know the future. I’m an ordinary human, just like you.”
She snorted at that, and you heard her pull over one of the other chairs before she dropped down into it, settling behind your right shoulder as you resumed typing.
“Nothing ordinary about you. And speaking of which, I’d like to introduce you to Bucky.”
Oh! That’s who it was.You’d heard of Bucky, Captain Rogers best friend, released from decades of Hydra brain-washing, but this was the first time you’d been introduced. You spun your chair back towards where he’d been standing when he entered and held out your hand.
“Nice to meet you, Bucky.”
There was a heartbeat of silence, and you heard the tiniest exhale off to your left.
Shit!
“I’m over here, doll.”
You turned your chair more, grateful when Nat moved out of your way, and stood up, taking a step closer to where Bucky had spoken from.
“Well, you move as quietly as they say. Normally it’s only Nat who gets the drop on me. If you hadn’t guessed by now, I’m blind. And don’t you dare say you’re sorry.” You heard Nat’s muffled giggle, confirming your suspicion that Bucky’s mouth was flapping up and down with the apology he was about to make lodged in his throat.
You held out your hand again and gave him your name. “But Nat, here, calls me Oracle, because of my knack of interpreting intel and predicting likely scenarios.” His hand, warm but calloused, took hold of yours and gave it a gentle shake.
“Ummm, nice to meet you, Oracle.”
You could feel the awkward tension in the air, and you couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
“Let me get this out of the way, and then we can move on, okay? I was born sighted, but was diagnosed with a condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa as a child, which meant that I slowly lost my vision over time. I became completely blind about 18 months back, but I remember seeing. I know what colours look like, animals, etc. I learnt to touch type as a teen, and although my keyboard does have Braille on the keys I don’t really use them. I manage just fine. FRIDAY reads back my code to me, so I can spot errors, I have my cane and I have Jimbo.”
“Jimbo?”
Aha! So the famed former assassin hadn’t noticed everything.
You gave a quick whistle and felt Bucky start as your faithful companion uncurled himself from under your desk where he’d been sleeping and came to stand at parade rest by your right leg.
You crouched down and gave him a pet, and in return he booped his nose against yours.
“This is Jimbo. The best seeing-eye dog ever. Aren’t you, boy? Yes you are!”
You stood back up and made your way back to your chair, Jimbo returning to his sleeping spot now that he realised his services weren’t currently required.
“So that’s me. I’m damn good at my job, and I promise that you’ll never have to worry about any mission information that you get from me. And if you can’t trust me, trust Nat. I’ve never steered her wrong.”
“Ummm. Good to know. I… ummm… if Nat trusts you, then I do too. And it was good to meet you… and Jimbo… but I… uh… gotta go. So… see you later, Nat? And again, nice to meet you, Oracle.”
His footsteps retreated from in front of you and you heard the sound of the door opening and closing before Nat burst into a fit of giggles. You turned your chair towards her, crossed your arms over your chest and raised an eyebrow at her.
“Really Nat? You didn’t let him know in advance?”
“Hey, it’s not my story to tell, it’s yours. And besides, I wanted to see what you made of each other. Suffice to say, I wasn’t disappointed.”
“It’s a good thing I love you, Nat, otherwise I’d have to sic Jimbo on you.”
Nat moved towards you, and must have crouched down from the way her hand brushed your knee. You knew what she wanted. You scootched your chair back to allow her to reach under your desk. A satisfied huff from Jimbo let you know that Nat had found the sweet spot behind his right ear.
“This sweetheart? I’m more scared of you than I am of him.”
“Damn straight!”
Tumblr media
After your less than stellar introduction to Bucky, it seemed that from then on you kept bumping into him. Or rather he kept bumping into you. Literally.
You were making your way back to your office from the bathroom, cane in hand, although you knew the route like the back of your hand, when something caught on the end of it, sending it flying out of your hand. A heavy body then crashed into you, pinning you against the wall.
“Shit! What the fu… Oh. it’s you! Sorry. Sorry.”
Oh, god!
“Bucky… could you get off me please?”
“What? Oh! Yes, yes. Of course… umm.”
He pushed away from the wall, and you sucked in a deep breath. Boy, was the guy heavy. Part of your brain decided to tell you it was the right kind of heavy. You told it to shut up.
Bending down you reached out your hand to find your cane, only to find Bucky’s hand - he was obviously trying to help. His fingers closed over yours, and you turned your head upwards in reflex.
“Bucky, you are not my cane. Do you have it there?”
“Yes… umm.. Yes, of course. Let me, just…”
Without any warning you found yourself jerked back to your feet. The sudden movement unbalanced you and your free arm flailed, searching for purchase. Which it found by curling into the fabric of Bucky’s top, bringing you flush up against his chest, pressed to him for the second time in that many minutes. That part of your brain started clamouring for attention again. It was telling you that this was actually quite nice, and that Bucky smelled wonderful. Then, to add insult to injury the rest of your body started to join in, a gentle throbbing starting from between your legs.
Jesus, you needed to get laid, or at least find time to schedule some ‘self-care’, if you were reacting like this to a frankly frustrating man you’d only ever met twice.
You pulled your captive hand free and let go of his shirt, smoothing down your own top to cover your discombobulated state.
“Well, thank you, but I was capable of standing back up myself. I just need you to pass me my cane.”
“Oh, right. Hang on.” You felt the movement of air on your face as he quickly ducked away, and then he was back by your side, pressing your cane into your hand.
“Can I… umm… walk you back to where you were going?”
“Well, I do know where I’m going - I’ve worked here longer than you but, sure, you can tag along. Just going back to my office.”
“Sounds good!”
You couldn’t help but giggle. He sounded like an eager puppy. Maybe he wasn’t so bad… no scratch that…
You were just about to set off walking again, when Bucky threaded your left arm through the crook of his right. You couldn’t help it, you rolled your eyes. It was obvious he meant well, but by the same token, wasn’t used to being around someone with a disability like yours. You lurched forwards as he set off walking, effectively dragging you along with him.
“Bucky! Stop! Wait!” He came to a halt and you bounced off his, very muscular, arm.
“What? Are you okay? Did I hurt you when I bumped into you?”
“No, it’s not that, it’s just that it’s actually harder for me to walk with you pulling me along like this. I need to walk at my speed, and use my senses. I’m a grown woman and perfectly capable of navigating the couple of hundred yards between the bathroom and my office. I do it every day.”
“‘M sorry. I just…” You held up your hand.
“... wanted to help? I get that, I do. But if I need help I will ask for it. Assuming I need help is ableism, pure and simple. I may be blind, but I’m not helpless. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have work to do. I’m already behind schedule.”
As you strode off down the hall, your cane moving from side to side in front of you, you did feel a bit bad for chewing him out. He did mean well, after all, but you’d had your fill of ‘helpful’ people - people who saw a problem that they had to solve for you, instead of trusting you to sort it yourself.
Lost in your thoughts you didn’t hear the dejected sigh from behind you.
Tumblr media
It would have been alright if that had been the end of it, but it wasn’t. Bucky seemed intent on helping you every chance he could. Unfortunately it just kept going wrong.
Like at a mission briefing when you were making your way to the table. You pulled out your chair and went to sit down, but suddenly it wasn’t there and you were landing on the floor with a shout.
What the fuck?
“Shit, I’m sorry, doll. I just pulled your chair out a bit further to make it easier and…”
You gritted your teeth, trying to ignore the smell of his cologne and what it did to your equilibrium as he helped you back up.
“It’s fine, Bucky. But I was okay.
Like the time he accompanied Nat to see you in your office. He’d said hi, but nothing else, leaving Nat to check some mission intel over with you. But then you heard the tell-tale sound of hands patting thighs, and Jimbo brushed past your legs, followed by the sounds of canine mastication.
“Umm, Bucky… Are you feeding my dog?”
All was silent apart from the sounds of Jimbo snacking.
“Errr…”
You pinched the brow of your nose and tried to ignore the tremors of suppressed amusement from Nat next to you. You strode forward and somehow managed to swipe the offending bag out of Bucky’s hand.
“I thought he might like a little treat for being so good…”
“And that’s very sweet, but he’s not allowed treats when he’s working. And even if he was it’s good manners to ask. He could be on a specialised diet or something. If he gets an upset stomach, not only do I have to deal with being without him while he recovers, I somehow have to clean up doggy diarrhoea, which I can tell you isn’t fun when sighted, let alone blind.”
“Doll, I’m…”
“Yes, Bucky. I know. You’re sorry… You always are.”
You turned your back on him and went back to your chair, tucking the doggy treats into your desk draw and going back to your conversation with Nat. You tried to pretend you didn’t notice when Bucky slunk out. Nat, sensibly, didn’t say anything.
Tumblr media
One thing about working for SHIELD was that for those that wanted, you could have accommodation to live in on site. You’d jumped at the chance - anything to do away with an annoying commute. You just had to walk from the main building to the apartment block.
Jimbo sat down at your side as you let go of the handle of his harness, and pulled your key from your purse. You opened the door and signalled for Jimbo to go in, then closed it behind you and hung up your purse, keys, cane and coat, before removing your faithful companions' reflective harness.
“Good boy. You did so well today.”
You walked down your hall and into your open plan living room and then halted as an unexpected smell assaulted your nose.
Flowers?
How and why were there flowers in your apartment?
“FRIDAY!” You called out the AI, a little louder than necessary.
“Yes, Oracle?”
Damn Nat. And damn Tony.
You let out another sigh. You seemed to be doing a lot of that lately.
“Are their flowers in my apartment?”
“Yes, miss. Roses and carnations. A large bouquet on the dining table. The roses are blush pink and the carnations are red.”
Oh, for fuck’s sake.
“And did Sergeant Barnes put them in here?”
“He did, miss.”
You stalked back towards the door, grabbing your cane, coat and keys.
“And does Sergeant Barnes live in this complex?”
“He does. Would you like to know his address?”
You thrust your arms into your coat and pocketed your keys.
“If it’s not too much trouble, FRIDAY. I need to give him a piece of my mind.”
“Sergeant Barnes’ apartment is 2C.”
Okay, so one floor up and third apartment along. Not quite overhead of you.
As you opened the door you felt a nudge to your leg. Jimbo.
“Good boy, but stay. I’m sure I can make my way upstairs.”
You gave him a pat and then walked out of your door.
You hadn’t been on the other floors of the apartment block more than a handful of times. Nat always came to you if you organised to hang out, and you worked mostly on your own, not having really made friends with many of your co-workers. However, you found your way to the elevator and rode it up to the next floor.
You knew that apartment C should be the second on the left hand side of the corridor, so you walked along that side, and used your cane to identify the first, and then the second door frame. Squaring your shoulder and mentally preparing yourself, because you didn’t really like confrontation, you raised your hand to knock and brought it down… on nothing.
No. Not nothing. A person. Bucky. You were confused.
“Why is your door open, and why are you standing in it?”
“Heard you coming, doll.”
“Oh…”
You could swear you almost heard the smile in his voice. Shit! Your hand was still on his very warm, very broad chest.
“You wanna come in?”
“What? Oh, yes. Thanks.”
You snatched your hand back to yourself as he stepped back and you walked through the door, using your cane to work out where he was.
“Can I take your coat, and cane? This apartment is set out the same as yours, more or less, and I can help you to the couch?”
“Umm, sure.”
God! He was being so nice and considerate, which was going to make this more difficult. You could feel your frustrations evaporating by the second, and damn it, you wanted to stay mad.
You passed him your cane and shrugged out of your coat, then waited patiently for him to escort you. He moved to your left side, and this time he waited for you to start walking, gently steering you around his furniture until your hand made contact with the back of his couch, allowing you to find your own way onto it. As you settled onto it, feeling the soft leather under your fingers, you felt the other side dip. Bucky was sitting next to you, on your right, but not too close.
“So, what can I help you with, doll. Can’t say I expected you to turn up at my door.”
“Bucky, you broke into my apartment and left flowers in it.”
“Well, I realised I’ve been a bit of an ass, and wanted to apologise. And you never let me actually say the words.”
You sank back into the couch and mulled on what to say.
“You gotta realise that since I got this diagnosis when I was five, before I even understood what it meant, I’ve had people saying sorry to me all the time, and then trying to help me. Over and over and over. Running roughshod over my autonomy because I happen to have a disability. My brain works fine. I manage just fine. It’s just so frustrating and it’s hard for those without disabilities to understand.”
The silence between you stretched for a few moments, before Bucky started to speak.
“I…” You cut him off.
“Don’t you dare say it!”
Then you heard something you hadn’t before. A chuckle. Bucky’s chuckle.
Deep. Velvety. Downright sinful.
“Wasn’t gonna, doll. But I did want to show you something, so to speak.” He took hold of your right hand with his own. “Can I?”
You nodded, wondering what he meant, but it all became clear as he raised your hand and placed it on his left shoulder. You could feel the soft cotton of his t-shirt, but where it should have been stretched over his upper arm and bicep it in fact hung loose.
There was no arm there.
Your mouth dropped open and you whipped your head up towards him.
“How did I not know?”
Your words were a strangled whisper, and full of shame.
“Dunno, doll. It’s in my file. Although I do have a prosthetic. A very fancy one at that. It gives me more than normal abilities, but I will admit, like any other amputee, when I get home, I like to take it off.”
“Nat never mentioned it.”
“Like she never mentioned you being blind to me?”
“Oh…”
You didn’t know what to say. You knew what it was like to be bombarded with questions about something so personal.
“Well, if you ever wanna talk about it, you know where I am.”
“I do, doll. One floor down and to the left.”
Your hand was still on his shoulder, and you felt a little awkward.
“I… well… I was wondering, could I feel what you look like? I mean, if you don’t mind?”
He picked your left hand up from your lap and lifted it up towards his face.
“I was waiting for you to ask. Go ahead.”
You placed both your hands on top of his head, feeling his hair. It felt long; tied back.
“What colour is your hair?”
“I’d say brown, but Nat says it’s chestnut.”
You hummed as you trailed your fingers down, finding his brow and sweeping your fingers over his eyebrows and round his eye sockets and cheekbones.
“And your eyes? What colour are they?”
“Sorta blue-ish grey, I suppose.”
There was hair on his cheeks and jaw, long enough to feel soft  against your sensitive finger tips.
You realised you were finding it hard to breathe. There was a tension in the air between you, a tension that you knew had been there from almost the beginning, but that you’d tried so hard to ignore.
Your fingers moved towards, and then traced across his lips. They felt plump, albeit slightly chapped and you found yourself wondering how they’d feel against your own. With your left hand still on his mouth, your right trailed over his chin, feeling a small divot. You smiled as you imagined using it in order to grip him, hold his face still.
You were just about to pull your hands away, when Bucky reached up again, and held your left against his lips, so he could press small kisses to your fingertips. Your breath caught in your throat.
“I’m gonna say it, doll. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I was such an ass, and that I didn’t listen to you. I was stupid because I was trying to impress you. I wanted to show you how good I’d be for you, because almost from the first moment we met I was totally enamoured. You’re so smart, and confident, and I just felt useless. And then every time I tried to help I made it worse. Nat had to give me a talking to because I was just making a fool of myself.”
You could feel the heat rising in your cheeks at his words.
“Bucky, I…” but it was his turn to cut you off.
“So, I’m saying sorry, and I hope you can give this one-armed super-soldier a chance to show he isn’t an ableist ass, because I’d really like to get to know you better.”
Your heart was beating so hard you thought it was going to burst out of your chest, and you could no longer resist what your body and mind was telling you to do. You took hold of his chin, just the way you’d imagined a few moments ago, grabbing his attention.
“You’ve frustrated me from nearly the moment we met - I hope you realise that. Gotten under my skin in a way I couldn’t describe. I didn’t know why. Well at least, not at first. Every time I wanted to chew you out, I also wanted to kiss you. For trying so hard and so earnestly, but still getting it so very, very wrong.”
“You could kiss me now?”
Your lips twitched. “Smooth, Barnes. Smooth.”
“I like to think so…”
“Shut up.” You broke out into a full smile as you pulled him towards you by his cute chin until your lips met his.
It was everything you’d imagined in your private moments. The warmth, the restrained passion. Everything.
Your fingers tangled in his hair, strands coming loose from his ponytail. His arm was wrapped around your waist… and when and how had you ended up on his lap? You didn’t care, you just wanted him to keep kissing you. When he finally pulled his lips from yours you ducked your head down to his neck, wanting to keep any kind of connection. It was like a dam had burst and you had no way of stopping the flood.
“Doll, you gotta stop. Please. ‘Cause I’m dying here.” He was panting. You could taste the sweat on his throat, feel his pounding in his chest, feel the firmness at his groin.
“You really want me to, Bucky? Or do you want me to help you dig your grave?”
“Oh, fuck, doll!”
In one swift movement his arm shifted to cradle your ass and he stood up. Your legs clenched around his waist and your arms went around his neck.
“I got you. I got you, doll. Just moving somewhere more comfortable, if that’s alright with you?”
“Sure is. I need space so I can ‘take a look’ at the rest of you.”
It was only a short walk to the bedroom, and he placed you, oh so reverently, on the bed. You pulled your top over your head and shimmied out of your work pants.
“I have no idea if this underwear matches - I was in a rush this morning.”
There was a rusting sound and the mattress dipped. Bucky took hold of one of your left hand and pulled it down so you could touch his, now bare, chest.
“You look like a million bucks, doll. Now, I gotta warn you. I got some pretty ugly scarring going on here.”
You brought your right hand up, and lightly stroked over the left side of his chest. You felt the edge of the scarring that started just above the nipple, raised and hard, which led up to cool metal which covered all over the shoulder area.
“Is this what your prosthetic attaches to?”
“Yeah. Unfortunately, when it was first done, the people doing it weren’t concerned with the aesthetic of it.”
“Good thing I’m blind then. I don’t care.”
Bucky let out a bark of laughter.
“You’re incredible, doll.”
“And so are you. Now lie still, so I can take a good look.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Your hands roved over the rest of his body, feeling where his chest hair grew in patches around the scarring. When your palms brushed over his nipples he gasped and you felt him shift beside you. Impishly, you did it again, grinning when he let out a warning growl.
You took the hint, however, and continued your explorations, discovering the solid plains of his abdomen and feeling the strength within his core. No wonder he’d been able to lift you so easily, even with the help of his super-soldier serum.
When you finally ‘saw’ his cock, your hands gently learning the size and shape of it, every vein, every sensitive part, you heard his laboured breathing as he tried to control himself under the sweet torture of your touch.
“You’re so pretty, Bucky. I wonder how you taste?”
You bent over, and licked a stripe up the length of him, revelling in the sound of his indrawn breath. It had been a while since you’d been with anyone, but muscle memory was your friend. You traced the contours of his cock with the tip of your tongue, tasting the sweat, the musk, the essence of him, before taking him into your mouth.
“Oh, God! Doll! I wasn’t lying. You’re killing me!”
You pulled off him with a pop.
“Don’t resist it, Bucky. Give yourself over to ‘le petit mort’.”
You returned to ministering to his cock, sucking strongly on the tip of it, while stroking the shaft with your hand. You teased his slit with the tip of your tongue, then swirled around the head. His whole body was trembling with tension and you could feel how wet you were, how aroused you were by the power you held over him.
“Doll, I’m gonna cum! Fuck!”
You wished you could see Bucky’s face as he came, but instead settled for reaching up to twine your fingers with his. When his hips twitched under you, you hollowed your cheeks, and took him as deep as possible, moaning low in your throat as he spilt down it.
You continued to suck and stroke him through his orgasm, until he shifted under you, sitting up and dragging you up his body. You straddled his lap again, pleasantly surprised to realise he was still hard, pressing up against your heated core. He kissed you, licking into your mouth, either not caring about or enjoying the taste of himself on you. His hand pulled at the fastener of your bra, but this was obviously something he couldn’t do one handed, so you reached behind you, quickly releasing the offending garment and discarding it.
“I need you, doll. I need to be inside you.”
“Please! I need you too!”
You didn’t want to pull away from him, even to remove your panties, so you pulled the flimsy fabric to the side, before taking hold of him and guiding him to your entrance.
Bucky let out a gasp and fell back onto the mattress as he started to slide into your heat. Your hands went to his chest, looking for stability and leverage as you moved yourself up and down, drawing him into you, inch by glorious inch.
It felt so fucking good! The stretch, the slight burn. And you were also certain that it wouldn’t matter how long it had been since you’d last had sex, this, with Bucky, would still be mind blowing. His hand was on your waist, helping to keep you stable as you moved. You were so fixated on how he felt inside you, that it took you a few moments to realise that he was talking to you.
“You’re fucking glorious, you know that? I swear, tomorrow we’re gonna do this when I have two arms and I’m gonna take you apart. ‘M gonna fucking feast on you.”
You laughed and tossed your head as you continued to ride him. “Is that… fuck!... a promise?”
“Sure is! Gonna help you remember what stars look like.”
“Get that hand on me and you can help me now!”
“Yeah? You close, doll? I fucking hope so, ‘cause I swear ‘m gonna cum again, any second.”
Bucky moved his hand from your waist, sliding it between you and searching for your clit. You gasped, the bundle of nerves so sensitive, so engorged you knew it wouldn’t take much to make you…
You let out a loud whine, your body clenching down on his cock and your fingernails curling into the flesh of pecs as the pleasure washed over your body.
“That’s it, baby. That’s it. Fuck! So beautiful when you cum. Gonna fill you up… you’re gonna have me leaking outta you for days…”
His words were cut off, becoming a shout as he came. And, fuck, he hadn’t been joking. You could feel him pulsing inside you, feel the warmth of his cum filling you, and then leaking out of you, coating your thighs. It felt as though your orgasm just kept going as you rode out the aftershocks, jolts of pleasure continuing to shoot through you, just as you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more.
Eventually they stopped and you slumped forward onto Bucky’s sweaty body. His arm came around your waist and rolled the pair of you to lie sideways on the bed. Your eyelids drooped; you were so tired. You desperately wanted to sleep but…
“Jimbo!”
You tried to sit up, but Bucky urged you back down.
“It’s okay. You sleep, okay, doll?” I’ll pop down, take him outside then make sure he has his food, yeah? Then I’ll be back, ready to sleep next to you, all night long. That sound alright?
You smiled softly, high on dopamine and sleepy as hell.
“Sounds perfect, Bucky. Thank you for helping.”
“No problem at all, doll. No problem at all.

Chapter 34
So It Goes…
It was Saturday morning and things were becoming predictable.
Tumblr media
I had just gotten out of bed as Samuel entered the room. He came straight from the shower after sleeping on the couch again.
I missed him. Even when he was home, he just seemed so far away. By the time he came back from the hospital, he was exhausted. Every second of sleep was precious.
We barely talked. I couldn’t remember when we last had sex. A couple of months, at least.
Tumblr media
He was in an even worse mood than usual today. He glared at his phone before going to the closet to get dressed.
Tumblr media
“Samuel? Something wrong?”
“Charlie.”
Even with his back to me, his entire body radiated annoyance.
“Charlie? What’s with Charlie?”
Tumblr media
“He’s in Copperdale and he wants to visit us.”
There was venom in his voice as he pulled the belt through the loops of his pants with angry movements.
“Oh. But isn’t that a good thing?”
Tumblr media
“I guess. I guess I should be thankful that my brother finally deigns to grace us with his presence. Do you know how often I’ve heard from him since the wedding? Twice. To congratulate us on Hailey and Ivy. That’s all.”
“I know, but aren’t you still happy that he wants to visit?”
Samuel sighed heavily.
Tumblr media
“Sure. It just pisses me off that everything has to be on his terms. Always. He’s practically been gone since he moved out, doing whatever the fuck he wanted while someone had to be the responsible one. And then he thinks he can just walk back in like nothing happened and be all, hey bro, care for me to drop by for dinner?”
“Admit it, Samuel, you miss him. And he’ll get to meet the girls.”
Tumblr media
“I know. And of course I want him to meet my family. He suggested dinner tomorrow. And he even invited us to see his band play at the old warehouse tonight.”
“Tonight? We should go. I could ask Amelia to look after the girls, make it a date. We haven’t gone out forever.”
Tumblr media
“You know we can’t do that, Freya. I have another long shift, I won’t be home until early morning.”
Tumblr media
I said nothing. Of course. All he ever had was long shifts, and he didn’t even take the time off he was technically allowed to. I only saw him when he slept, and lately he didn’t even come to bed.
My husband was slowly becoming a stranger in the house, just dropping by for the occasional nap.
Tumblr media
“Freya? Are you mad? If you really want me to come home early, just say so.”
He always said that. But it was a risk-free offer. He knew that I’d never demand it. I tried to rearrange my face into something less pouty.
Tumblr media
“No. You know I can’t do that, your job is important. I just… I wish you felt that your family was just as important.”
Tumblr media
Samuel sighed.
“Ah, yes, because you always seem to think that I’m putting my job over my family. Of course you and the girls are more important to me than my job! But as you very well know, my job is also important, I have a lot of patients depending on me.”
Tumblr media
“Whereas we are fine without you, I guess.”
I regretted it immediately. I was stepping onto a well-trodden path and I didn’t have the energy to have this particular argument again.
Tumblr media
Neither did Samuel. He just turned away from me as he finished tucking in his shirt.
“You know what, I don’t have time for your shit right now. I need to be at the hospital in half an hour. And if family is really the issue here, why don’t you go see Charlie’s band? You’re his family too. Then you can ask His Highness what he would like for dinner tomorrow.”
Tumblr media
He stalked off. Less than a minute later I heard the car start.
The sun was barely up and my husband had already left in a huff. Great.
Tumblr media
I wondered if he’d come back.
I wondered if I wanted him to come back.

Reimburse
Zoro Roronoa x Black GN Reader Fluff
RoommateAU, Platonic (no ship), ModernAU, Drabble
CW: eating other niggas food (😒😒), OPLA living together
Tumblr media
Feeling someone’s presence, I look up from my phone to see Zoro strut past the kitchen island I was sitting at.
“Morning.” He speaks gruffly.
“Hey Zoro. Who else up?”
“How am I supposed to know?”
 He opens the fridge with an extended hand before dropping it. I furrow and raise my eyebrows as he stands up and adjusts the swords on his hip.
"Uhhh...."
“What?” I ask, looking back down at my phone, “We outta milk?”
“You drink my soda?”
 Did I drink it? Shit, I did, didn't I?
“Soda? What soda?”
His eyebrow raises as he closes the fridge. “The soda I had in here? It was a coke.”
“Nope. Haven't seen it.”
“Uh huh.”
“What, I haven’t! Why would I lie about a soda?”
 He squints and walks over to the island. Shit, shit, shit. He knows. I turn my phone off and lay it face down on the countertop, staring back into his skeptical brown eyes.
"You gonna cut me in half, huh?"
“Why would I do that for a drink?”
“Did you forget who you was? You’re unpredictable as fuck sometimes.”
“I'd like to think I'm pretty predictable when it comes to my violence."
"Wow."
"Granted, I should but I wouldn't waste Wado Ichimonji on you, short stack."
"Bruh."
"Just tell me the truth.”
“Didn’t I just say–”
“You’re lying.”
“Says who?”
“The way you keep rolling your eyes.”
“I always roll my eyes.”
“Not this much. You roll your eyes twice as much when you’re lying to me.”
“To you, or when I’m lying in gen–”
“Yo.”
“Aight fine!”
He looks away in annoyance, “Knew it.”
“How was I supposed to know, it was a big ass bottle! With no name, mind you.”
“...and? If you knew it wasn't yours, why'd you drink it?”
“I thought it was for the boat! Besides, I only took a sip, there should still be full."
“Is that what you thought when you finished the bottle?”
“I didn’t!”
“Yeah, okay.”
"I'm being so deadass. It was prolly Luffy or Sanji, since yall always at each other's throats.”
"Bet it was Sanji." He groaned.
"You want it to be Sanji."
“Regardless, neither of you like to ask before taking shit.”
"Ugh, whatever. All I did was take a sip and you know the bottle’s big as hell, so I didn’t think you'd notice."
"You...you didn't think I'd notice the cap being loose?"
"...yes?"
"So I’m an idiot to you; noted.”
“Yo, who said that–!?”
“Yeah so...both of you, whoever it was, reimburse me."
"You want two 1.25 liter bottles of--"
“I didn't stutter.”
“That's like 9 berry and we're nowhere near land.”
"I don't remember asking. Do it or I'm locking you out of your quarters."
"You won't..."
"Try me." He walks out the kitchen area, heavy boots stomping as he walked out onto the main deck.
"You're foul for even thinking that, you know!"

yandere february event day 2
“Please be good for me. I don’t want to hurt you.”
Tumblr media
you sucked in your chest, trying to push yourself further into the wall of the alleyway behind you. inching away from the blade to the best of your abilities. there’s a knife at your neck. you haven’t said anything, going as far as to bite down on your lip to prevent any stray noises from escaping you. you’ve never been in a situation like this. in a situation where you genuinely feared for your life like this.
“i don’t- i don’t have any money on me.”
you gathered the strength to speak after you had enough confidence that you wouldn’t try to scream. nonetheless, you cursed yourself for it. maybe if you’d just carried a twenty or something on you, you’d be able to slip out of this situation overall unscathed. but it’s too late, no amount of regret would undo this random decisions you’d made earlier that day. no amount of blaming yourself for not predicting the future would summon money on your person or teleport you onto the main street and back into the eyes of the public. not like it mattered anyways, but you didn’t know that. you weren’t aware of the fact that you’d be in this situation regardless of whatever choices you had made that day. any amount of changib and undoing the past would only end up delaying the inevitable, he was determined like that.
“i don’t want any money. listen i- i need you to come with me. don’t make a scene.”
 the man before you spoke, and you noticed how the knife trembled in his grasp. and the look on his face was filled with almost as much terror as was on yours. it was a mixture of fear, disgust and desperation. the look of a man so far into his desires he was willing to do anything for them, even overstep his own morals. as you took the moment to observe his face, you got to see other details about him as well. lily-white hair with angled bangs and two-toned eyes. everything about him was eerily familiar. you’ve seen him before, but you don’t know where. you couldn’t put a name to the face and it scared you. why did you feel like you recognized him? perhaps it was because you’ve passed by him. maybe more often than a stranger should pass you by in a city as big as yokohama.
“hey. did you hear me? i said i need you to come with me.” his voice was almost pathetic, riddled with it’s own misery and pushed through a raw throat.
and those words snapped you out of your train of thought. this man, who you (possibly) only recognize through running into him a suspicious number of times was now threatening you at knifepoint to go with him. this wasn’t just some thug attempting to mug you for all you’re worth. this was a full blown kidnapping. your heart dropped, suddenly far more afraid than you were before.
“i- er i- no thank you?” you stuttered out, stumbling over your words. you’d never been in a situation like this. you didn’t know how to combat the armed man physically, all you could do was at least try to get out of this situation before he hurt you. he took in a deep breath a frustrated look crossing his face before he tried again.
“i’m not asking you, i need you to come with me.” as he spoke the blade inched slightly closer to your throat, you tried to flinch back but you were already pressed hard against the brick. you let out a small gasp, not once drawing your eyes from the weapon.
“don’t- i don't want to- please don’t hurt me…” your voice trembled as you came to the realization you likely only had two options here. let yourself be taken away or die right here.
“please just be good for me. i don’t want to hurt you. so just make this easy and come with me now… please.”
two options. when he spoke up the two options were all that was on your mind. at least with one you would eventually get out of. whether you're ransomed or rescued you’d eventually  be able to go back to your normal life… right?

oh god im back on my bullshit (ranting about trigun stampede)
while we’re all waiting in desperation for tristamp s2, i want to talk about meryl in the aftermath/time skip of ep 12 because it’s taken over my mind (tristamp s1 spoilers under the cut)
oh btw if i get any details wrong please let me know POLITELY. i will cry at u if ur mean >:(
i love the way they show how much roberto’s death has affected meryl. over the span of two years, she’s picked up a lot of his mannerisms and habits. she refers to milly as a newbie like he did with her, her tone of voice in this scene is very reminiscent of his, hell even the way she dresses in this scene could be another way she’s mirroring him.
however, i don’t think any of this is a conscience decision on meryl’s part. to me, this is meryl’s way of coping with roberto’s death. she’s trying to keep her guard up to suppress the pain and grief she still feels. it’s still hitting her hard, two years later.
(fun fact: there’s actually a psychological term for this! it’s called the chameleon effect. it’s a phenomenon when you subconsciously mimic other people’s behaviors, gestures, etc. it’s usually something that happens in social situations, but i think this could also apply to meryl)
with milly being introduced in s2, i think a big part of meryl’s character arc this upcoming season will be her trying to keep up this cold, distant persona around milly, trying not to get too close to her because she doesn’t want to get hurt if anything happens to her. then, milly will be the one to make her realize that that mentality is stupid (for lack of better words), directly or indirectly. then near the end of the season, she’ll face her grief head on (knowing this show, it’ll probably in some beautifully symbolic way), come to terms with roberto’s death and finally learn how to move on and become the meryl stryfe we all know and love.
do think that this will be her whole arc in s2? kinda, yea. but we won’t really know until it drops……….hopefully sometime near the end of this year.
am i looking too far into this? probably, but this was just my interpretation of the aftermath and my predictions for the future.
there are probably a lot of factors im not considering since i haven’t finished the manga (no spoilers please) but hey, there’s no harm in overanalyzing.
either way, i would love to hear everyone else’s thoughts about this scene, or if you have any predictions for tristamp s2. if you’ve made it this far, thanks for listening to me rant :^)

Obey Me! Nightbringer Lesson 40 Spoilers
I have read through all of Lesson 40, including in the Hard section.
And in the Hard section, it is shown that we have returned to the House of Lamentation.
But are we really supposed to believe that our return to the present/future is met with just a simple “hey, welcome home”?
I don’t know about you, but I think the devs could have easily written at least one full Lesson just celebrating our return, spending time with the brothers, explaining everything that we’ve been through in the past, etc.
Personally, I would love to see Lucifer just calmly telling Solomon “you’re lucky you brought them back home in one piece” and Solomon responding with “haha, is that a threat? Well don’t worry. I’d never let anything happen to my adorable apprentice. Anyway, we had quite the adventure. We even lived together.” just to try and piss Lucifer off. I love their little rivalry/feud when it comes to MC lol xD
And I mean, okay… Levi cried when he saw us and said it felt like we haven’t been there in so long. And Asmo agreed after hugging us.
But!
Are we truly back home?
There are so many theories and possibilities that I’ve been thinking about.
What if what we’re actually being shown is an alternate reality created by Nightbringer?
We haven’t seen or heard anything about Nightbringer for quite a while, so I’m highly skeptical that he just went away. In fact… I think he has a major role in everything going on right now. Why else would the devs introduce him in the first place?
Also, why wasn’t Solomon with us when we “returned” to the House of Lamentation?
It’s suspicious.
On the same note, what if Nightbringer has just intercepted our return home to show us “someplace we will be happy”, as he has said he could show us. It would explain why Solomon isn’t there (which begs the question : if this is the case, where is Solomon? Has the time travel been paused somehow and he’s temporarily unaware of what’s going on? Has he been returned home without us? Is he somewhere else within this new reality?)
Or what if we really are back home, and Lucifer is the only one who knows/remembers that we were missing (like, what if his brothers were losing it because it was taking so long for us to return, so he erased/altered their memories of all the time we weren’t there?)
OR!!! I know this is just me leaning into the whole “yandere Solomon” thing, but imagine if we are in a different reality where the brothers are just friendly towards us. No romantic feelings or love or anything like that.
I mean… Solomon did mention :
Tumblr media
Side note on this silly, unrealistic theory : imagine Solomon working together with Nightbringer to make this happen.
Putting all of my dark fantasies aside, though!
I’m also super curious about Barbatos. Before we left, he dropped this on us :
Tumblr media
He may not have given us any direct knowledge/information, but that's a big enough hint to convince me that he knew damn well we were from the future.
And if that’s the case… why would Barbaros allow us to be sent off to any place except back to where we came from? Unless he didn’t predict Nightbringer being involved?
I don’t know, though… I’m still super interested to find out more about Nightbringer and how/if he’s connected to Barbatos and Solomon.
I need more! *screams*
In all seriousness… I really hope there will be many more Lessons for us to look forward to, and that we'll get more direct answers soon ^^

All’s Fair (2)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Osferth x fem! reader
“You didn’t mention you were the Lord’s daughter.” Osferth said. Finan and Sihtric stopped next to him at Y/N’s side. A group surrounded the pair of fighters in the centre, watching as they swung wooden swords.
She briefly glanced at them, focusing on the fight. “I did not know you all that well. Revealing my identify...well, that would imply trust.”
“Trust goes both ways.” Sihtric stated. Grunts and clashes were heard over the conversation.
She didn’t break her focus as she responded. “My father mentioned he was expecting your Lord’s arrival. Our encounter was pure coincidence.”
“I’ll bet.” Finan snided.
“I wouldn’t have saved him if I was a threat.” she pointed at Osferth.
“He would’ve been fine.” Finan dismissed.
She blinked, pursing her lips. “Does this issue have any actual moral or is it because I am a woman?”
“No-uh,” Osferth interjected, “Finan was just concerned. Curious, really. We all are. We haven’t come across a town like yours before.” watching as one of the fighters disarmed his opponent, the sword cast to Y/N’s feet.
“Like I said. Things are different here.” she stepped forward, picking up the sword.
“Good work, Einar.” she pulled him off the ground, “You’ll win soon enough. You just need practice. Working on your defence will be your strong suite.”
Snickers were heard from the crowd of young boys and girls. Y/N swivelled on her feet, scanning the group as the tallest boy laughed.
“Gunnar!” she yelled, throwing the sword at the boy, “You’re up.”
The boy’s smirk dropped, and he barely caught the sword. “Who’s my opponent?”
“You’ll be fighting me today.”
His eyes widened at the statement, the group settling in silence. She assessed his movements. He would strike first. Feign left and hit right. She dodged each of these, countering with a hit to his shoulder as he groaned, swinging his sword for her head. She leaned backwards, dodging the swipe and twirled with her sword as an extension of her arm. Y/N kicked her leg out, causing the boy’s leg to buckle as he staggered. He retaliated, spinning around to stalk toward her when she took his unsteady stance to her advantage, knocking his wrist and disarming him in a single move.
“Predictability is a flaw you must correct. If your opponent can anticipate your moves, they are at the advantage.” she huffed, “You need to turn it in your favour.”
“Snickering at another’s failure is not just. It’s childish. You’re to be warriors of our army. That requires teamwork.” she remarked, offering Gunnar his sword.
“Next!” she yelled, making eye contact with their guests.
***
Osferth sat out the front of the dining hall, watching the mellow ripples in the river. The muffled cacophony of shouts and cheers reached his ears but he was consumed with the calm, having a moment to himself. The sound of approaching footsteps brought his eyes to the Lady’s presence.
“You’re not joining in? They seem to be having a good time.” she noted, glancing between the hall and the view.
Osferth smiled, “I had a drink, but I’m afraid the silence out here was more appealing.”
“I shall leave you to it, then-”
“No-uh,” Osferth choked up, “Do stay. I would most enjoy company.”
A grin spread on her face, “And I thought you were getting away from them.”
“I don’t think they’re the same sort of company, Lady.”
She regarded him with a glance, entirely surprised at the comment, but refusing to address it. Y/N took a seat next to him on the ground.
“I too find myself out here more often.”
“And what ails your mind?” he asked.
“Many things.” she confessed, “Rather dreadful conversation for this time.”
“Or more suiting. It is better to air out your worries, than to let them corrupt.” Osferth leaned on his knees.
“That is rather wise. Although, fitting I suppose.” she smiled, “Sometimes I think of how much simpler things could’ve been. I’d never found the appeal of starting a home of my own on the basis of being a man’s property. It’s one of the reasons I’m truly grateful for my father’s beliefs.” Osferth caught the haunted look in her eyes. “But...some of the things I’ve seen-make me wish I had stayed closer to these walls.”
“I understand that. The fear is something I have to overcome each day, but I wouldn’t go back to my life before.” Osferth stated, meeting her gaze “Some things are intended for us. We might not understand it now, but he knows.” referencing God. While she didn’t follow the same God as him, Y/N understood full well of Osferth’s intent.
“What motivates a monk to swear to a Lord?” she asked, curious as to how he came across Uhtred and joined his group of warriors. Osferth seemed the odd of the bunch in comparison to the three trained and steel wrought warriors. A Lord, a Dane, a Christian and a monk made for a peculiar group.
“Many things.” a small smile on his lips as he reiterated her words.
“I assume the Lord had a part to play in your training.”
“Yes. Although, Finan has had a large part to play in my training.” Osferth grimaced, “It is not to be compared to what I’ve seen the Lady demonstrate.”
“Come by the training yard tomorrow.” surprising him, “We’ll see what you’re made of.”
“You want to fight me?” he asked, unsure whether to be delighted or frightened at the attention.
“Its training.” she smirked, “Although, a little wager never hurt.”
“What are the stakes?”
“Well, I gather the winner decides at their triumph.” she shrugged, walking off.
***
Finan berated Osferth as they walked to the training yard after breakfast. “Why you’d agree to this, baby monk, I have no idea. It’s like you ask for pain.”
“She is going to knock you on your ass.” Sihtric stated.
“Thanks for the vote of confidence.” Osferth shook his hands, breathing.
Sihtric smacked his shoulder, “Sorry, but we’ve seen how she fights.”
“Pray she goes easy on you.” Finan stated.
“Its just training.” he remarked, “But, there’s also a wager to win.”
“Even better. Pray she’s merciful. Who knows what she wants.” Finan slid off to the side as they spotted the woman. She stood with a hand on the pommel of her sword, glancing up at their arrival.
“Come to watch?”
Finan patted Osferth’s shoulder, nudging him into the circle “Exactly.”
“Stay on your feet as long as you can.” Sihtric whispered as they drew to the side.
She tossed Osferth a wooden sword, slinking her sheath to the ground. “We’ll be using these instead.”
“I’m not afraid of a little blood.”
“Yes, but I wouldn’t want to actually hurt you.”
“You care of my wellbeing?” he teased
“I wouldn’t want to incur Lord Uhtred’s wrath.” she raised her sword, “My father would not be pleased, either.”
“Why did you challenge me to a fight then?”
“Well, I was intrigued.” she tilted her head, taking the first chance to strike out with her sword. Osferth was fast at meeting her sword, their faces inches from each other. Y/N swung around, aiming for his leg as he beat it away. They danced for a few seconds before she landed a hit on his shoulder.
“I wonder if they taught you well enough.”
He took the bait, casting her sword to the side and landing a hit on her side. “I can assure you they did.”
A huff escaped her mouth as she struck forward, bringing her sword down consecutively as their movements crossed together in tandem.
“You could work on a few things.” she tilted her head.
A twist of his foot that she did not see and Y/N was sent tumbling into his arms, her sword cast to the ground as his arm wrapped around her waist. “Really?”
Surprise laced in her features for the moment, the feeling of his breath on her face and his touch throwing her off. Her reflexes kicked in and she wrapped her foot around his, sending them tumbling to the ground. She quickly disarmed him, her wrist pressing down on his throat.
“I’d be happy to teach you.”
Osferth glanced between her eyes and mouth, “In exchange for...”
She scanned his face, an alluring smirk on her mouth. “Undecided.”

Stormy Weather
Summary: While you’re struggling to get home from a month-long mission, Jeff and Natasha seek comfort from missing you.
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Word Count: 1408
Warnings: None
A/N: Hiii, sorry I know I haven’t been posting much lately. I’ve had so many ideas, but I can’t seem to get them written in a way I actually like. Plus, my motivation to write only ever seems to come when I’m at work and can’t write 😭 I’ll try my best to start posting more regularly again but no promises, thank you all for sticking around :) comments and reblogs are much appreciated :)
This was also based on an ao3 comment from a fic MONTHS ago, that I just got round to actually writing 😭
Part of The Jeff Fictional Universe (you don’t need to read the others to understand)
Tumblr media
—————————————————
Natasha rubbed her eyes harshly. Staring at the screen day after day was taking its toll. 30 days this would be; 30 days since you had gone on a mission that should have only been two weeks.
There were complications, and she knew you didn't have the time or the means to contact her directly. But she was exhausted, barely sleeping, needing to be there in case you *did* manage to get in contact.
Natasha knew she couldn't have gone with you. No matter how much it would have alleviated her worries, she had other priorities. Working on the desk side of the same mission would be enough for her.
Patters of rain made Natasha jerk her head up. No light came through the window, but the circles of water indicated that the predicted storm was on its way. Natasha sighed; she'd been far too engrossed in work to even notice nightfall. She hoped Jeff had been okay with her absence.
After a sigh and a stretch, the door to the home office opened, and Natasha stepped out. A break was necessary, and some company would do her and Jeff some good.
—————————————————
Natasha reached the living room entrance before she paused, staying quiet to see a scene of innocence play out.
Jeff had padded right past her; the Blahaj he carried acted as blinders for his peripheral and even blocked some of his front-facing vision. Natasha watched as Jeff shuffled and hopped to see over his stuffed shark, before the sofa blocked her view.
Natasha watched Blahaj’s tail slowly disappear before she followed. Jeff had been working longer than she’d seen, as pillows and blankets lined the sofa, along with a few stuffed animals you had bought for him.
Jeff froze when he noticed Natasha was watching. The two stared, unblinking, for seconds that seemed to stretch. Then Jeff flopped, his back legs dropping into a seated position and his head bowing.
“Is that Y/N’s t-shirt?” Natasha asked gently, pointing at the white shirt half pulled over the Blahaj’s head.
Jeff followed his nod with a dejected “mrrr”. Natasha knelt in front of him; she noticed tears beginning to form in his eyes. “Miss,” Jeff signed.
The rain was getting heavier against the window, and Natasha knew the thunder and lightning were soon to begin. Jeff would need her comfort.
“I miss Y/N too; it’s been just us for a while, huh?”
“Mrrr.” Jeff nodded again.
“Let me help you with this then,” Natasha stated, finally catching Jeff’s attention when she pulled Blahaj between them. Jeff pushed under Natasha’s outstretched arms to take a position on her lap, reaching out to pull the shirt on properly.
Natasha’s expression softened; she could see how much Jeff missed you, yet all she could do was sit and wait with him. She hardly knew more about your whereabouts than the land shark, but at least he had the bliss that came with ignorance, lacking knowledge that you would ever be in danger.
“Mrrr,” Jeff hummed, grabbing and stretching to wrap his arms around more than just the shirt. It pulled Natasha out of her thoughts, her focus returning to the room. A stuffed toy in her hands, the weight of the land shark on her lap, the sound of the rain and a distant rumble of thunder outside-
Jeff repeated his whine. Natasha bent her arms until Jeff could cling onto his plushie, wrapping his limbs around it as much as he could and squeezing it tight.
In turn, Natasha drew Jeff closer. Her hidden hand kept Blåhaj upright, knowing Jeff would reject the help but tumble off her lap without it.
Their peace was interrupted by the first - sudden - rumble of thunder. Natasha and Jeff reacted immediately; the Black Widow startled at the sound but reflexively pulled Jeff closer. Meanwhile, the land shark squeezed Blahaj tight and buried himself in Natasha’s lap.
“That was loud.”
“Mrrr.”
“Are you okay, Jeff?”
“Mrrr.” He shook his head, face still pressed firmly into the soft plushie.
“The thunder is scary, I know-”
“Mrrr!”
“-but it can’t hurt you here. I’m with you. Why don’t we finish what you started? Turn all these pillows and blankets into the best fort we can make. How does that sound?”
“Mrrr.”
—————————————————
One month away from this warmth. One month away from your fiancee and your land shark. The need to find them filled your mind; there was nothing you wanted more, to finally be able to while the evening away, to do nothing but bask in their companionship. As suddenly as quiet settled in your surroundings, so too did the thoughts in your mind, trailing away until you felt at peace. The mission report could wait.
Flashes of the mission ran through your mind, of mess-ups, mistakes, twists and turns, of constantly battling to just get home. You hardly even noticed the pouring rain, too caught up in your thought; even on your way back, the weather revolted against you. A long sigh left you when the door clicked shut.
A cosy quiet came with it. Appliances and radiators hummed throughout the house, while the noises of the thunder and rain diminished the second the door shut. With the quiet, even your brain began to relax, focusing on the warmth and safety you had spent a long month missing.
One month away from this, away from your land shark. Away from your fiancée. Did they know you were returning? Natasha would be greeting you if she'd seen the mission success, but then again, data had been patchy on the field, and you weren't even sure it had been sent.
And Jeff would be barrelling in to greet you if he'd heard the door shut.
It seemed, for once, you had the element of surprise upon your return.
As quietly as you could manage, you shed your outer layer of clothes and hung them up to dry. Jeff would always be excited to see you, but you doubted Natasha’s enthusiasm if you traipsed dripping garments through the house.
Through the pattering rain, you made out the faint noises of the TV, soft voices that guided your search to the living room.
You’d missed home. Even a perfectly created mission left an absent feeling, a creeping loneliness you struggled to put your finger on. But it was this; missing the small captures of life: a scene too spontaneous to be planned and small enough to oft be overlooked.
A dazzling fort of cushions and blankets adorned your sofa. You wouldn’t be surprised if Tony Stark himself had built it; it was a feat of engineering. However, the actual creators hadn’t strayed far. In the middle of it all lay your two loves; Natasha dozed with her arms loosely wrapped around Jeff. The pair of them held Blahaj tight against Jeff’s stomach.
They still faced the TV, but from the look of the channel, sleep had taken hold of them far before you arrived. Orange chickens flooded the screen, seeming to be the focus of the program – Jeff’s worst nightmare. The land shark had been much more cautious around them since his encounter with Susan, the farm chicken who looked identical to those on TV. Jeff couldn’t have slept knowing his feathered foes were just a screen away.
You switched it off; just in time. Another wave of thunder rumbled, and you saw Natasha tremble in her sleep, her grip on Jeff and Blahaj tightening. Tight enough to wake the land shark.
Jeff awoke slowly; he sought comfort and warmth in Natasha’s arms while he blinked his way into full awareness. The moment he saw you was clear; his eyes and mouth widened, and his tail thumped up and down repeatedly. That is…until he remembered his situation. Very quickly, Jeff stilled, then moved a finger to his lips.
“You don’t want me to wake her?” you whispered, an estimated translation of his actions. It took a few more signs from Jeff for you to understand.
“Mother. Didn’t sleep. Tired. And scared.”
"And you're not scared?" you signed back.
"Jeff brave."
"You’re the bravest, Jeff.” As you spoke, the thunder rumbled once again. Jeff’s fingers dug into his stuffed toy, with a slight whimper escaping that you pretended you didn’t notice. “Thank you for looking after Nat for me; you’ve done it so well.”
“Now… is there room for three in that fort? I think it’s time we napped.”

still from the addition to stupid people (but i think it will be able to stand on its own for the people who don't feel like reading that.) ♡
“All you’re focused on is being good for me, but you’re so fucking beautiful it makes me weak in the knees, you know that?” Eddie spills then, Buck’s open throat predictably producing a sound somewhere in between a gag and a moan, his eyes firm on Eddie’s - a line appearing in his forehead; one that Eddie recognizes as desperation - one that tells him that if Buck currently had the ability to, he would be scrambling to grab Eddie’s face in between his hands to kiss him senseless. “Always,” Eddie finds himself continuing. “But especially like this.”  Especially when your hair is a mess; especially when you’re wearing socks and nothing else; especially when you’re sporting just enough stubble because you haven’t shaved in a day or two; especially when you taste like coffee and morning breath; especially when your pubic hair is growing wildly all the way down to your ass, because you don’t worry about trimming it quite as often as you used to; especially when I’m reminded that you’re mine, just as much as I’m yours. Especially when I’m reminded that you’re not the same person who knocked on that hotel room door - and I’m not the same person who opened it. Those people grew, and changed, and they made it. We’re home.   “I love seeing you happy,” he settles for, retreating his fingers out of Buck’s mouth. Because when it comes down to it, he thinks that's what it is. All of those little things that should be unattractive - socks and morning breath - they don’t stop Buck from happily spreading his legs, and they don’t stop Eddie from eagerly getting in between them. Somehow that combination always has Eddie’s knees weak. Everything just feels warm and comfortable - and happy.    “Fuck!” Buck shouts as soon as his mouth is empty, dropping his head backwards as Eddie strokes his cock. “I fucking love you!” His voice isn’t loud enough to reach anyone outside, but it’s certainly enough to reach the rest of the house - probably equal parts sexual frustration and ‘The house is empty, why the fuck not?’  “Easy,” Eddie chuckles, his cheeks aching with the size of his grin as he brings the saliva-drenched fingers down to Buck’s entrance. “You wanna shout it from the rooftops too?”  “You want me to? I would,” Buck says, picking his head back up, his wicked grin brighter than a thousand suns.  “I know you would,” Eddie hums.
