@finncomet replied to your post: “Are you okay, dude? That’s some hardcore thinking right there.”
"...to be fair, by that metric, I doubt I will ever be 'okay', Finn. Mine is a brain that, while distracted or overly focused on one thing in particular from time to time, staunchly refuses to simply turn itself off."
Tumblr media
"...clearly, there are some benefits to this, especially when I need to out-think my adversaries... but the downsides are also readily apparent, it seems."

And The Sun Is Silent (Yandere!Wriothesley/Reader)
Tumblr media
Unreliable Synopsis: You, a former writer, received a fan letter. Truly a curious thing, for the contents appear more personal than what it should be.
A/n: I am not back. I posted this cuz first off, I adore Joe Zieja and all his works and I was so hyped when I saw he voiced Wriothesley and second, mfer gave me C4 qiqi. i love my daughter but cmon wrio, I literally got the same haircut as you do now-
CW: nothing really. Just a lil mind frick ig
Tumblr media
“When I saw his hands wrapped around his dearest new spouse, cutting that vile wedding cake together, I wanted nothing more than to take that knife and slit his throat.”
(Y/n) was a serialized author in Fontaine whose works were primarily geared towards detective novels. However, their words were less laced with objectivity and “irrefutable facts” as the heavy pockets do when spinning their tales. Unfortunately, they weren’t meant to fill their coffers with hit-release masterpieces. (Y/n)– pen name “Maestro Justiniano” – was more engrossed in the perpetrators' psychology like the barkeeps and magicians do. They were the main characters– the sung hero of the tale. The glorified violence thrived in each passing page for the only mystery to be solved was “who will they target next?”
If young fans of other authors were seen as aspiring detectives or law enforcers, those who were known as fans of the Maestro were unjustifiably labeled as “future degenerates.” For (Y/n), it was funny. Overhearing grandparents waste their already fleeting energy to scold their grandchild’s love for their sinful work was their source of joy.
But (Y/n) (L/n) was not Maestro Justiano in public.
They were Duke Wriothesley’s spouse. Maestro Justiano is but a shade and (Y/n) is a human. The maestro does not feed on earth nor mora, but (Y/n) is obliged to. He bought his title, and he bought his spouse.
Gone was their free fourth finger. With a golden shackle, they sealed their fate to a wealthy man for table scraps. Perhaps it is fortunate that he is generous with his pockets, but to (Y/n), they would rather starve themselves writing than sit through another seminar about the nation’s ever-changing laws.
The Maestro’s life used to be so full of thrill; the “pelf” they received for each writing commission was a life worth their breaths.
The Maestro’s life used to be coated in moonlight; sneaking out and running gigs was their bread and butter.
But now the sun is silent, and (Y/n) stands with a tail behind their legs.
“(Y/n), do you need anything?”
Wriothesley asked even when he could guess the answer. Lazily, (Y/n) shifted from the covers, peering over with half-closed eyes.
“Nothing, Your Grace.” (Y/n) yawned. “Close the door.”
The Duke nods, understanding their fatigue. He silently shuts the door, and nothing of interest is to be noted afterward.
This has been their canned script every Wednesday to Friday without fail for the past 3 years.
In (Y/n)’s eyes, Wriothesley is a mere animal with whom they mate for survival. Barely any true emotional trysts occurred in their first two years of marriage. They’re a “friend” of fortune. With him always away from home, (Y/n) is left with nothing but their thoughts.
The nights were warm, but the mornings were cold.
And the sun is silent.
Tumblr media
Their husband has never been quite the same after an incident during their 2nd year of marriage.
On the night they were attacked in the comfort of their shared home, a gear in his head was stolen.
Wriothesley held them, audibly more alarmed and broken than (Y/n)– the victim– was. He shook, afraid of what you must’ve gone through in his absence. Robbery, that’s what the records say. An armed man entered their home with the intent to steal. Black were his gloves and hair. The perpetrator thought they had been away on a business trip and pulled the trigger by surprise when they emerged from the kitchen.
That thief had failed to steal material possessions, but their husband had lost his good of intellect. He cannot stand the notion of leaving them alone. What is a collector’s item if it’s not in great condition? Wriothesley has locked the gates and kept (Y/n) in, and he’ll continue to do so to preserve their value.
“I want to meet you somewhere someday, in a place where the sun is no longer silent. I want to crawl and bury myself under your skin where I can read through your mind. The house is too quiet. I want to trace your collarbones. I want to bite into your flesh, and I need you to look into my eyes as I tear myself apart. I am in love with you, (Y/n). It’s unbelievable, but it’s true. I live within these walls. I am what keeps you grounded with a golden ring. But why does the sun hide from me?”
Tumblr media
Despite how much closer the couple are now, (Y/n) feels more distant than before. Not that they had the right to say "The duke was not the man I married" when they rarely talked— but it surely felt that way.
And in one Sunday night, the forcibly retired author used their words not to immerse readers, but to intimidate guards to grant entry to their "beloved" husband's office.
"You fucking bitch…"
"Lovely to see you too, honey."
"You made me lose my job!!!"
"Here I thought you refer to it as a side-line."
"Are you fucking for real right now?!" They screamed and slammed a fist down on the table. The pain hasn't hit them yet as their unbridled shock and rage hit overdrive. "Since when did you have the right to just take my–"
"Your hobbies away?" Wriothesley placed down his chamomile tea and shrugged. "Honey, I'm not doing anything like that. No, I'm only protecting you."
"Oh, great!" They waved a hand around dramatically before slapping it back to their thigh, rolling their eyes. "Let me guess, there's a biiiig explanation that fits into one giant puzzle."
"You know me too well for someone who never initiates conversation." He smiled mockingly.
"You're right. Court Dense Publishing House is being investigated for numerous allegations. Toxic working environment, which included stalking and superiors leveraging pay for sexual favors might I add, and tax fraud. The details of the latter will bore you." Wriothesley continued.
He sighed. "Can't you tell? I'm just being a decent husband. What if you were being harassed and you were afraid to tell me?"
"Like hell, I was–" They took a sharp deep breath in. "Listen. Let me get back to my work and we won't have any problems, Your Grace."
"No can do. You're an ex-Maestro now."
“And you're an ex-con.” They quickly retorted.
“... You're calling me an ex-con?" Wriothesley laughed dryly. The lone sound made them inch their heels slightly backward.
His eyelids lowered as his dull gray eyes peeked behind underneath his tilted glare.
They had never seen him this serious.
"Who do you think turned me into one?”
They blinked.
His words– though not making sense without context– carried a heavy weight they had unfortunately missed.
His gaze and words were accusingly pointed.
At them.
Wriothesley laughed.
"I'm kidding, of course. Don't be so tense."
(Y/n) didn't laugh.
He smiled. They can't tell if it was fake or not. He's been too good at pretending to be nice that they never knew when he genuinely dropped the act.
Tumblr media
Like Maestro Justiniano, that argument is history now.
And maybe that's why (Y/n) first thought it would be a comforting experience to read a story written by an avid fan.
It was a long manuscript. Sigewinne claimed it came from a fellow Melusine who wanted her favorite author's thoughts on how to write a criminal male lead. When asked for the writer's name, she refused to say it. (Y/n) respected it since they too posted anonymously…
But this reading sounds less like a professional job and more like a stalker's confession…
“When I first finished a book of yours in two sittings, I had formed a vague fantasy on how you looked like. You were a tall man, thin, long-necked, sharp-nosed, with a body slightly bent forward. Needless to say, I was stoked to find that description failed to perfectly describe who you were in person. I hope that with my new appearance, my description perfectly describes how your husband used to look as well. These black gloves just don’t fit me right.”
These black gloves…?
"Honey, I'm home!!! Oh, and Sigewinne's here too."
As soon as they heard the door open, (Y/n) shoved the fan's manuscript inside their drawer. Wriothesley hates seeing any semblance of creative writing inside the house.
"Can you brew two cups of tea for us?" Wriothesley asked as he removed his jacket, placing it recklessly on the sofa. "We're exhausted."
(Y/n) nodded. They never tell him how they make his tea. For a bottle weighing 8 fl oz, they'd take a rounded scoop of sunsettia powder to the pitcher and pour steamed 2% milk to whatever was the appropriate line. Once aerated for 3 seconds, they fill it with their macha mix with ¼’’ foam and ¾’’ more below the rim for the aesthetic.
The process is not as difficult as it sounds, but they like withholding information. Why else won't friends and family know that they're a prolific writer, right?
"Sure. I'll be right back."
They left.
Their “husband” picked up the letter they hastily hid, a faint smile playing on his face.
Were you frightened after reading it?
How did his favorite author react?
He wished he knew. But he’s no detective– he’s a present “degenerate”. He won’t find clues just by looking at the parchment. "Wriothesley" placed it back to where it was earlier and adjusted his black gloves to fit just right.
“Wriothesley” glanced at Sigewinne with a giddy smile.
“So, do you think they liked my writing?”
Tumblr media
"(P.S: I finally figured out how you make your coffee. It's 3 pumps of Fonta, 1 shot of espresso roast, chilled milk, and stirred with ice. This unique combination would've perplexed me if I didn't find out you made it out of spite.
But it does taste good. I promise. After all, in the cold solitude of your sunless prison, I'll be the one brewing you coffee. May each sip be a reminder of my affection. The sun may be silent too in the Fortress, but maybe in there, you'll finally appreciate my warmth.")

☼Personality | Family | Diety | Relationships ☼
v Full profile under cut v
☼ Personality ☼
A gentle giant, Halion prides himself on his ability to defuse situations through constructive conversation, only using violence as a last resort. (*Cough* With the exception of some big bad nasties who dont deserve a chance...*Cough*)
In an ideal world, he believes power should be used to protect those in need, and while not everyone shares this idology, he will ensure his own strengths will do just that.
Although Halion may seem naive on the surface, he just likes to see the best in everything, desperately trying to keep a positive spin on things - for his own sanity... He hopes this positivity can be a beacon of light for others, though it can be a detriment to himself, hiding his own anxieties to keep up a smile...
Behind his cheerful disposition, he also had a devious sense of humor, he also understands that sometimes, feigning ignorance, makes it easier to get what you want....sometimes....
Tumblr media
Gorgeous template by: Arcandoria
☼ Family ☼
Born in Elturel, Halion was raised by his adoptive parents; his half-elf father, a quiet, mild mannered scholar, and his Dwarf mother, a loud, cheerful jeweler in the city of Candlekeep. Growing up in the fortress of knowledge, the young teifling was surrounded by stories documenting the achievements of heroes past, filling him with an desire to join them one day.
At the age of 7, the family moved to Baldur's Gate, his parents retiring to focus on themselves and raising their child. Halion still has a very close relationship with his parents, with of course them being the first people he went to check on after arriving back in the city.
Tumblr media
☼ Diety & Paladin Oath ☼
While his parents aren't particularly devout, during his younger years, still attached to stories of powerful and heroic characters, Halion looked to the Gods that inspired them, in hopes that he could channel their goodwill.
Growing particularly fond of the MorningLord, Lathander, Halion aspired to become a Paladin under the 'Order of the Aster', some of the highest ranking knights in the clergy. However, as he grew older, he began to understand that The Order, much like many others, were far too militarian and heavy handed for his liking. While he was still determined to train and protect those around him, Halion had detached himself from the church as an institution, to follow his own head and heart.
'Sunblaze' is not his surname, but a title given to him when he first took up his Oath. While he no longer follows the group he got the title from, he still holds it dear.
☼ Relationships ☼
!!! ENDGAME SPOILERS MARKED IN RED!!!
☼ Shadowheart:
Like a sister to him. While he found it difficult to navigate around her spikey exterior at first, he soon found a little banter and trust goes a long way. He felt an great smpathy for the way her desires to be a dark justiciar fizzled out after the events with the Nightsong, and while not as dramatic, could related to his aspirations with the Aster Order.
After the events with the Netherbrain, she has been invited to stay with his parents, himself and Astarion for as long as she wishes, while they find a new place to settle.
☼ Gale:
From their first meeting, the two got along incredibly well. Sharing their hunger for knowledge, the two would share whatever books they had collected along the way. Unfortunately, this also lead to a little bit of misunderstanding...And while Halion was very excited to learn about the weave, he couldn't quite read the signs... And was severely embarrassed when he had to turn gale down... It took some time but after they were able to go back to being friends.
After the events of the Netherbrain, Gale left following an argument about the crown... Halion is still sad about this and hopes to eventually make contact with him again, wherever he may be...
☼ Astarion:
Starting on a bad note, Halion found it hard to understand him at first. But despite his grumbles Astarion stayed with the group, which lead him to understand his prickerly behaviour was similar to Shadowhearts- in a form of self preservation. Similarly to the events with Gale, Halion didn't quite read the mood (or pass the insight check...) and was swept up in Astarion's manipulations, thinking they had formed a close bond...
However, after the encounter at Moonrise, Halion suggested they start again, as friends first. in a 'I know we both have feelings, but i think you have more important things on your mind' kind of way, reassuring him he'd still be there.
It was only after the conclusion of events with Cazador did the pair start again.
After the final events with the netherbrain, Halion swore to continue to search for a way for Astarion to walk in the sun again. Along with shadowheart, the trio are currently relocating his parents first before they continue their adventure.

Yandere Deku concept with a hero darling
This was a bit vague for me but I eventually settled on you both being Pro-Heros and you both went to UA together.
Yandere! Izuku Midoriya (Deku) with Hero! Darling
Pairing: Platonic -> Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Clingy behavior, Trauma, Fear of loss, Manipulation, Overprotective behavior, Stalking implied, Kidnapping, Jealousy, Drugging, Delusional behavior, Dubious turned forced relationship.
Tumblr media
Izuku has always had a fascination with heroes ever since he was young.
Meeting his childhood idol and attending UA allowed him to live his dreams.
Although, by the end of his schooling, Izuku became a... changed man.
He's more hardened now that he's seen the world out there.
Even more so when he realizes he can't save everyone.
However... That never stops Izuku from trying.
Izuku first met you when he was in UA.
You were in his class and also aspired to be a hero.
Izuku befriended you through training sessions and... unfortunately shared traumas.
He never liked it when you got hurt in UA, be that in training or villain attacks.
True to his heart, Izuku is protective.
He has the heart of a hero, always wanting to protect those he cares about.
Izuku often found himself worrying for you in UA.
He has a tendency to overthink....
Each year only ever gets more difficult and Izuku, being as close as he is to you, can tell it wears you down.
Honestly, he feels the same.
The trauma he endures alongside you in UA no doubt affects his feelings towards you later on in life.
In UA, you're both just friends.
Even if Izuku had a major crush on you.
In fact, said crush and care he felt for you was often what stressed him out the most.
You two are both heroes... but he's seen people die and nearly lost many close to him.
How long will it be before you're also a casualty?
Such worries and thoughts are what pushes him into obsession as school continues on.
Izuku no doubt takes notes on his obsession and follows them around.
When you were both in school he most likely had a notebook section dedicated to you and your quirk.
Izuku knows your strengths and weaknesses more than anyone else.
He was always a bit too timid to ask you out and often just stayed your friend.
Plus, when you're dealing with constant danger... it would be hard to balance a relationship.
Despite this he's always caring and loyal, never far from you.
Your fellow classmates often joke that you two should date based on how deep Izuku is into his feelings.
But Izuku doesn't want to rush things...
If you're going to be a couple, then he wants it perfect...!
Although, he no doubt writes notes and ideas in his notebook about future date plans... or even marriage... or further than that.
Even when you're both in school he's your lovesick friend/classmate.
He's always so flustered around you, his confidence wavering when you speak to him.
His feelings no doubt persist after school, even after he experiences more horrors than any normal high-schooler should....
Especially due to his fear of leaving you alone.
When you both graduated to become heroes, Izuku became insistent on keeping contact.
It started with just sharing numbers, then gradually became more.
When not busy, he'd often visit.
When you were busy, he'd search for you before providing aid.
Even when he became the #1 hero he was still determined to keep you in his life.
If only you knew it was because he was scared to lose you.
He hates the idea of you somehow getting hurt or targeted if he leaves you be.
Even now he wants to protect you, even when you're capable of being on your own.
Izuku loves you... one could argue it's to a concerning degree.
He often mumbles to himself about you but usually excuses it to anyone who notices.
He's always asking others about you, often writing notes down about your feats.
Izuku is obsessive, even more so due to the fact you're a hero.
He's simultaneously worried yet fascinated due to his love of researching heroes.
So his research is not only about your personal life, it's about your career too.
After all... who else would know more than him?
That alone encourages him to ask you out later on.
He invites you out one day... only to pour his heart out to you.
Other than the fact Izuku is a bit clingy... you probably don't notice anything wrong.
You could willingly go into a relationship with him... or refuse.
If you agree and date him, his obsession is less intense and more subtle.
He comes off as a protective boyfriend who's always concerned when you're on missions.
Sometimes he's even a bit jealous... yet is able to keep that under control more than most.
Why should he be jealous, anyways?
After all, in this option, he has you to himself.
If he ever resorted to darker methods to keep you to himself and safe... It's more likely to be due to a mission.
For example, maybe you two had a fight.
Maybe Izuku was trying to convince you to stay out of a certain mission.
Perhaps he tells you it's too dangerous, leading to a fight before you end up walking out.
On your way to the mission, or perhaps even after it, you're suddenly tackled to the ground.
Strong muscles restrain you and a large hand covers your nose and mouth.
"See...? I knew you couldn't protect yourself... You need me, don't you? Always have...."
You fight against him, no doubt recognizing the voice as Izuku.
Yet he merely shushes you... before slipping a wet cloth over your nose.
"Sleep, love... Let me take care of you now."
If you rejected him before you even started dating, Izuku would resort to a similar method.
Except this time around he delves into creepier territory.
He keeps track of those you hang around with, he notes down where you frequent.
He stalks you for your "safety".
This time he does feel jealousy since he knows you don't like him the same way he does you... yet.
Soon enough he can't take it anymore.
Izuku would then tackle you once again when you're alone, slapping the wet cloth across your mouth and nose.
As you struggle he merely shushes you, kissing your forehead.
"It's okay, love... Don't you see you can't protect yourself? You need me... and I promise I'll protect you, just like back then...."
Both options conclude with the same outcome.
You're trapped in Izuku's home, under his constant surveillance.
He doesn't want to use restraints... but he'll do anything to keep you.
His delusional thoughts tell him you love him, that you need him.
You may want to be a hero... but he's the best hero the world has to offer.
So why not just let him care for you?
Izuku definitely seems like he'd have a thing for caring for you.
In fact, to make things darker... I wouldn't doubt he'd put sedatives in your food to keep you compliant.
He won't force you into anything... but the drugs certainly help him care for you without worrying about your quirk.
Plus... He thinks you look adorable like that.
He isn't violent, really....
As in, he wouldn't really kill anyone over you unless you were hurt. (Which is something someone like Katsuki would do, not Izuku)
Blood may stain his clothes, but he never shows you.
Izuku wants to be the perfect boyfriend to you.
Scratch that... The perfect husband.
He feeds you, holds you, kisses you...
He's yours and you're his in his eyes.
You two are meant to be.
There's no need for any more fights...! (Especially with the drugs in your system....)
Izuku will take care of you...
There's no need for you to play hero with him here.

Hiya! May I request a Hal Jordan with a shy fem or gn reader that he wants to bring out of their shell? Can be fluff or smut, I like both :3 Thank you so much! I’m glad you love Hal as much as I do!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BLUSHING !
hal jordan x fem!reader
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. . . fluff. A cliché because I like them. Hal bothers the reader because she blushes very often. Age gap? (9/10 years). Unrealistic and fanciful references to the operation of what is probably a military aircraft, try to ignore them to make the fantasy more enjoyable. Kisses.
𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. . . no copying of my work is allowed. Free translation is allowed as long as I am credited.
𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲. . . as I said in my other posts, English is not my first language. I have tried to make corrections with the translator, but as you all know, it is prone to making mistakes, so I apologize in advance for any mistakes or if anything sounds weird.
𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲. . . I enjoyed writing this request. I was getting a bit tired of the constant smut stuff, so I wrote this as a refreshing break from that. I hope you enjoy it. <3

Throughout their lives, many people have had a friend who used to be completely shy and introverted. That person you had to speak for because they couldn't say more than two words without getting nervous. Unfortunately, you were that person, and Dick Grayson was the best friend of the Titans who rushed to your rescue when you were forced to socialize.
On a mission alongside the Justice League, you couldn't help but feel intimidated. They were all the greatest heroes in the world, the epitome of heroism that you aspired to become. In comparison, you were a rookie with little experience. Even Dick, who was almost the same age as you, often had much more experience. In this regard, you couldn't help but feel an intense sense of nervousness that wouldn't let you keep your composure.
You stayed behind Dick and Kory throughout the entire meeting, trying to blend in. You feared that at any moment you might be forced to step forward and say something, so you just stayed behind the couple until you had to return to the tower.
— Any questions about the plan? — Dick concluded, crossing his arms.
— Just one. — Said an unfamiliar voice. — Is the new recruit hiding behind you coming to say hello?
Quickly, your cheeks flushed intensely. This was what you feared: being forced to introduce yourself when all you wanted was to stay in your space behind everyone, unnoticed.
With your head down, your cheeks flushed, and your nerves on edge, you leaned forward to answer as best you could.
— H-hello.
Once the guys moved away, you could briefly see that it had been Green Lantern who had dared to ask if he could say hello. Barely had you responded to him when a bold smile spread across his face, making you feel much more flushed than before.
— Well... — Dick congratulated you quietly as he positioned himself again as a barrier, covering you. —Does anyone have any doubts about the plan?
You kept thinking about Green Lantern in the coming days, occasionally while hugging the pillow. You thought he was attractive, but his flirtatious demeanor could be intimidating, even more so than Batman's, and that's considering you had only exchanged a word with him.
When you thought about it properly, you felt overwhelmed by the questionable age difference. He could easily be up to 10 years older than you, but that couldn't stop you from being attracted to him. However, if just saying hello made you so nervous, how were you supposed to flirt with an older man? You were pathetic.
When you returned to the Watchtower to complete a mission, he stood next to you and looked you up and down. You were incredibly surprised by the height difference between the two of you.
When you noticed his presence watching you, your cheeks flushed a deep red. He just chuckled with a hint of tenderness, which made you feel even more embarrassed.
— You blush easily, don't you? — He asked you kindly. — How cute.
You couldn't answer, the words got stuck in your throat. You tried to make your cheeks stop burning, but they only grew redder. You wanted to run and hide, but you didn't have the courage, so you just stood there.
— You don't have to be ashamed, honey. I don't bite. Not all the time, of course — He joked.
A strand of hair fell across your face, obstructing your view, but you didn't notice until Hal's hand brushed it aside, tucking it behind your ear. You dared to glance at him for a second; he was too handsome to assume he was flirting instead of just being friendly.
— I…
— What did you say, honey? I can't hear you when you mumble. — He smiled at you.
Finally, you started to listen to Dick giving his speech about the mission for the Titans and the league, but you could only think about Hal. It was the only thing you could think about during the two-hour meeting.
He was incredibly outgoing compared to you. Maybe that was one of the reasons he was so attractive: his confidence, his charm, and how outgoing he was. You hadn't talked to him much, just twice, but you were drawn to his energy, and you just wanted to know what it would be like to be with someone like that, but not anyone, just him.
Your mind wandered into practically unreal romantic fantasies. Perhaps it was obvious that, due to past experiences, you had little confidence in love and that's why you hoped that he would be unique among others. However, you would hit yourself on the head with your own fist when you remembered that he probably wasn't even interested in you.
Idiot, idiot, idiot. You felt like an idiot.
Furthermore, it was most likely that once that mission was over, Hal Jordan wouldn't hear from you again until the Titans were needed again. So maybe, it was perhaps naive to think or hope to run into him somewhere outside of work. What started as shyness turned into a huge ball of limitations trying to convince you that feeling attraction was a very bad idea. However, you kept blushing three times as much as usual every time you saw him, every single time!
Your conversations between you began to flow more naturally. Hal, being the flatterer and flirt that he is, did everything he could to bring you out of your shell. In particular, he had developed an obsession with making you blush, mentioning everything from simple things like how beautiful you were when you blushed to more vulgar things, but still eliciting that feeling of attraction in you.
One day, you were fortunate enough to be completely alone in some area of the base. Since everything was located in space, you were lucky to see the stars from a better position. They looked so close that you thought you could pick them up with your fingers.
— Have you ever traveled by plane? — he asked, standing in the doorway, admiring how fascinated you were watching the stellar spectacle.
— Several times. These are some of the advantages Dick has as Batman's son.
He smiled, approaching you and extending his hand for you to take.
— Come with me.
You followed him blindly, taking his hand. It wasn't long before both of you were on land, more precisely in a city called 'Coast City', right in front of 'Ferris Aircraft', where Hal stopped and removed the ring from his finger to tuck it inside his pocket. Everything was starting to get more confusing with each step.
— Hal... — You murmured with a blush. — What does that mean? I told you, I've flown in an airplane before.
— But you’ve never flown with me.
That's his line. The most memorable phrase that anyone who has spent time with him has heard him say. It made you feel special, even though deep down you knew you weren't. But flying with him excited you so much that it didn't matter that you weren't the first to go with him.
After bribing the security guard at the entrance with the excuse, "Do it for the beautiful lady," you were both in the air. You marveled at the view of the night sky from the co-pilot's window, feeling the adrenaline rush through your veins from the speed, which made you even more excited. Perhaps it was this that made you smile from ear to ear, as you had never done before. Your fingers danced to the rhythm of your companion's excitement.
— How is it possible that everything seems more exciting from up here? — You asked him, completely amused by the experience.
— How is it possible that I had to take you on a tour of the sky to make you lose your shyness?
In a hurried impulse, you grabbed Hal by the chin to turn his face towards you until you could see his eyes, and without much thought, you pressed your lips against his. It was a swift motion, but you kissed him intensely until it was necessary to let go so he could focus back on the road.
— Maybe the adrenaline is giving me the confidence to do whatever it takes — you said, but a few seconds later you blushed. — I'm not sure how long that will last.
Quickly, he moved his fingers to a bold red button in the center of the control panel labeled "Autopilot”. Then he settled into his seat, and you leaned back against the armrest. He was very close to you, watching you with those bright brown eyes you loved so much.
— Then we should make the most of every minute, right?
Your cheeks flushed as usual, which made him smile. He leaned down to your neck and kissed it with great devotion, making you tingle. Your hands ran down his back, caressing his aviator jacket, the one you once dreamed of wearing when he had the desire to lend it to you, infused with his scent.
Minutes later, he kissed your lips. He caressed them with his own, exploring you entirely, leaving no corner untested. His lips felt moist and soft, just as you had imagined they would. His minty breath slid down your throat as Hal rejoiced that your lips tasted like cherry lip gloss, delicious and addictive.
It was not only the first time you kissing inside a plane in the middle of the sky, leaning back in the co-pilot's seat, but it was also the first time you found yourself in this situation. For a moment, as his fingers pressed against your thigh, you wondered if you were doing the right thing or if you should tell him to stop and land. But honestly, everything seemed easier from up there: with Hal Jordan at your feet and a starry sky around you, it was easy to feel like you were in control.
— Have I told you how cute you are when you're not afraid of anything?
It was the first time you had gone this far with someone, but you didn't want to stop. Your blush and embarrassment wouldn't be able to defeat you this time.

Dying female tav with Raphael
“Ah, what’s this?” The devil folds his hands at the small of his back, walking a slow circle around his prey. The little creature is curled in on herself, both hands pressed over her belly. Blood trickles over her fingers. And oh, she’s so deliciously pale. “No lion, no mouse, but a sacrificial lamb.”
She tries to laugh. There’s fluid collecting in her lungs, and it the sound is unpleasantly wet. “Good to see you too, devil. Going to ask me to bleat?”
Raphael surveys the scene. So many dead. It’s an admirable showing, certainly, but the lives of bandits had less than no value. An aspiring hero, on the other hand? Room to negotiate. The cambion screws up his nose, kneeling in front of her. “I’d considered it. Though, I advise conserving what little energy you have left, pet.”
“Noted.” Tav winces. “Is it too much to hope you’ll help me?”
“Mm, it springs eternal.” The cambion taps his chin in consideration. “Unfortunately, I have a reputation to maintain. What would it look like? Raphael, playing favorites?”
Something is charming in watching frustration play across her face. The devil can see her hold on life slipping away, her soul blackening around the edges. It's tied to her flesh so tenuously, the threads snapping one by one. Tav coughs. A worry trail of blood trickles from the right corner of her mouth. “I’m your favorite?”
“But of course, lamb! And I do so want to help you,” he leans forward, lifting her hand from the wound. The flesh around her belly has begun to blacken, angry red lines licking outwards and stretching up towards her heart. Poison. An effective, if boring, solution to one’s adventurer problems. “We have only to discuss terms. I promise they shall be ever in your favor.”
“What do you want?”
“Oh, don’t be like that. No fun at all!” He rocks back on his heels. “The joy is in the process. The give and take…”
“I’m bleeding out, devil.”
“Simplified, then. For your benefit, pet.” Raphael smiles, shifting to kneel beside her. Close enough to hear her stuttering little breaths, feel the sickly feverish heat from the poison roiling through her veins. “I will play savior once more; in return, you will answer my call when and if the need should arise. A mutual exchange between friends.”
Tav hisses, chewing her lower lip. So pale. Fading so fast, so mortal. “Give the devil a favor? Carte blanche?”
“You are free to make your decision. But your time.” He touched her side. “Grows short.”
She purses her lips, tipping her head back. And while he is fond of the little creature, in his way, he will not deny the innate pleasure in watching the dawning realization cross her face. There is a sweetness in that final moment: the trap swings shut. The only viable option is Raphael.
“Save me then.”
“Oh, my dear. I thought you’d never ask.”

A Lifetime Ahead
When Katsuki graduated UA University it would have almost come as a shock to everyone who knew him that he had a college (and long-time) sweetheart. If it hadn’t been for that fact that you and Katsuki had known each other for most of a lifetime. The newly certified ProHero Dynamight aka Bakugou Katsuki known for dashing good looks, pure explosive power, and a foul-mouth now officially recognized by Japanese Hero Comission stood on that stage for graduation with his best suit and with his best girl sitting in the isles nestled right between her family, and his. All cheering, clapping, and waving frantically as the confetti poured down from the grand stands of UA University. His parents whom spend the entire first meeting with you giving the most ludicrously embarrassing tour of the family home and all of his achievements . . . And unfortunately for him the very first picture that hung on the way in the door was his most recent yearbook photo. The one from the previous year showcasing his bright young freshmen face complete with a set of red colored braces. And just down the hallway was the trophy shelf with every single participation and competition sport award that he’d won since the ripe age of 3. Katsuki remembers the sheer mortification striking him like a swift baseball to the crotch that Izuku used to accidentally pitch as he stood in that hallway. Only for his parents to whisk you away into the living room, the panicked throbbing of his heart in his clenched throat as his parents immediately fetched old yearbooks and family photos. Fawning and doting over him as if he weren’t standing in his own damn living room with his own damn girlfriend that was a year older than him. Katsuki is still impressed by the way you managed to pull you both out of his house and back out onto the sidewalk. All the while keeping his sweaty, sweaty hands shoved deep inside his varsity jacket as he sulked the rest of the walk to the station. His emotionally constipated self awkwardly waving you goodbye, as he did every time. Only to see you sent him a text with a goofy picture of your younger self in what you described as a “horribly messy” costume from your kindergarten school play. Katsuki remembered pressing his phone to against his chest as he lay on his back and stared at the ceiling and all he could think was he better not screw this up. Katsuki thought that over again and again when you’d finally invited him over as a regular guest for movie night at your house a year later. He loved the drive out to your country home. The afternoons you spent sprawled out on the porch in the sunshine just laughing as the two of you completed your homework before dinner and the movie. The way you’d purposely sit between him and your dad to ease any of the boyfriend/versus/father tension. Although, Katsuki being a star player on the sports teams as well as an aspiring hero made him somewhat larger and always left you accidentally sliding against his side with the way the couch cushion dipped. Which always left him sitting up as straight as a rod and with his clammy hands clasped together in the pocket of his hoodie as your dad eyed him throughout the film. Every night you’d still habitually pass out on your father’s shoulder -like the daddy’s daughter you are- by the end of the movie. Katsuki saying goodbye to your folks as your father carried you up the stairs to your bed. And Katsuki definitely remembers the first time your father nodded at him and said, “Go ahead, it’s your turn now.” Nodding up the stairs as he waited for Katsuki to take you up to your room - he’d never felt so nervous. He was sweating worse than that time his Hero Coach decided to stick him in a sauna for quirk strengthening. And yet once he’s taken you up in his arms and dangerously decided not to leave a chaste kiss on your forehead. He found your father nodding approvingly from the base of the stairwell. Everytime since after and to-this-day Katsuki has taken up the job of taking you up to your room when you’ve fallen asleep.
And that did not just extend to the couch because Katsuki carried you in from his car after your prom night. You’d brilliantly shoved on his coat jacket and a pair of crocs that’d you’d stashed into his car. And he remembers watching the way you absolutely conked out, completely relaxed in his embrace and the way your mother chuckled when she’d opened the door and seen him holding you all limp-noodle style.
You’d been so delighted it wasn’t canceled last minute due to extenuating circumstances (lol yes I’m a COVID prom girlie) and had dragged him along to go prom dress shopping with all your senior girl friends. And he remembers your friends crowing in amazement and watching you beam proudly as he followed you around the store like a dutiful lovesick puppy. The way a good boyfriend is supposed to do for his girl sometimes and he did just as well giving in to your every request at your prom. And he proudly thinks back on the way you’d attended his senior prom the next year. Everyone thinking it was wild that Katsuki Bakugou had a college girlfriend and that he was even attending at all. However, the two of you did ditch out on that one early and headed out to grab hamburgers and milkshakes bc that’s what Katsuki wanted to do with his prom. Just as you wanted to stay almost until the very end and get your Cinderella moment picture. Katsuki wanted the simple/typical rom-com drama of ditching it to watch the sunset with a beautiful lady and a greasy meal.
And Katsuki remembers his highschool years where you’d insist on coming to just about every sports game he had. Always managing to sneak in a salad or two only to be found caught with a corndog, crackerjacks, or plate of dripping nachos on your shiny fingers during a break. Always getting him teased down on the floor by his mates because you’d be fully decked out in one of his jersey’s and would be cheering for him louder than the rest, but eventually his teammates cut it out. Mostly bc Katsuki used to snarl at them and say, “Don’t be laughing at me because my girl loves me that much. It’s rude.” Which quickly shut them all up because who else had a partner that showed so much interest and investment when they came out to play? That’s right none of them. And Katsuki remembers the annoying squeals and “ooooo’s” n’ “awww’s” that your college mates used to give whenever he’d take some time to come over and visit your university. The entire dormitory hallway like moths to a flame as the girls stared at him walking by. And you, always trying to be so easy-going when he showed up, your shoulders falling as you squeezed him as tight as you could. The rest of the afternoon always spent on a little campus or town tour. He always bringing a weeks worth of bentos over to your place because you’d called and complained about the dinning hall food so much. And he remembers you coming out to his second year sports festival. Just teeming with excitement because you’d sadly missed the last one having to watch the recording on tv with your parents when you got back from your school-trip. He remembers coming up into the stands during the break just to find you wearing a tank-top with his old jersey thrown over it, still way too large. Practically swallowing you as you beamed holding up two plates of takoyaki and chatting with the only college friend of his you knew, Izuku. The green bean happily chatting your ear off as he asked you about school and some romantic advice for himself about Round Cheeks. And by the end of the festival, another win under his name he watched you cheering wildly underneath the sprawl of confetti as he stood proudly receiving the first place metal.
And now here he was. Watching you dressed up in your finest dress and makeup passing out tissues to the rest of the Bakugou clan, which were all massive softies with their heart on their sleeves just like his dad. And Bakugou can’t help, but tear up too. And as he steps towards the mic. The box in his pocket growing heavier by the second he grips the side of the podium and begins his Valedictorian speech. (He’s not even sure colleges are supposed to do that) But never-the-less he’s made it through as the top of his class. Near death experiences be damned because he’s made it, to graduation, to ask you to marry him. Just the way you two had agreed, or not really, because you’d expressed that you wanted to wait until after you both had graduated and technically that would be about another serveral minutes worth of speeches away. He’s watching as your parents and two families start crying harder in the front row just behind the Universities staff and faculty. And he remembers one last thing. . . He remembers how easy it was to ask for your hand. How estatic your mother and father were. He remembers asking his old man how to do it. He remembers the first time he met your grandfather . . .
A retired prohero at a Thanksgiving many years ago. Watching him, small and retired as he was, pick you up as you hugged him. He remembers gulping with the way he watched the young hero from over your shoulder, thinking this may be his greatest obstacle yet. Only for him to share his own stories with him late at night. Leaving Katsuki to wonder how he managed to survive and start a family as a hero. And for your grandfather to see the look flash across his face, “I know my granddaughter loves you, but I can see now how you love her. Young Bakugou if you want to be with her, you should, even as a pro. You gotta continue saving her from life, not criminals or villains, just life. And you do that by not getting yourself killed! But also by loving her. That’s the way to conquer the villains of life, you hear me?” and Katsuki nods, swearing to care for you just the same as he is now if not better. Your grandfather then beckoning him into his study bc there’s no greater teacher than experience and this young man is gonna need some help balancing out the life of a hero and the life of a husband. And Katsuki can see your grandfather sitting on the end of the row. Giving him a huge thumbs up as Izuku and Toshinori both fidget from excitement right behind him. Ready to see their friend start another chapter of his life with you. Together as you’ve always been.

Do you happen have anything that's about food, but in the way that Dungeon Meshi is about food? (defined to me as, classic(TM) adventure but with food as a central feature) Generally food-centric games would be welcome too!
Theme: Dungeon Meshi, Food Adventures.
Hello friend, I am very excited about this week's request! I have some recommendations that have been simmering in the back of my head for a while now - a few of which can be used in the game of your liking!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bakto’s Terrifying Cuisine, by Roll 4 Tarrasque.
"The entrance to the Kitchen Arena appears only to those hungry or foolish enough to find it. Perhaps a dusty pantry in a backwater restaurant, or a forgotten refrigerator in the basement of a busy hotel. The door closes behind you—it never opens again. At the bottom of a long set of pristine stairs, Bakto awaits."
Bakto’s Terrifying Cuisine is primarily an adventure for The Vanilla Game, which is free to play, but it strikes me as pretty system-friendly. You are all responsible for creating a dish for a hungry demon, and are provided with a dungeon map as well as descriptions of what waits for you in each room. The pamphlet also comes with 10 terrifying ingredients and 6 possible treasures, as well as a d6 table of random encounters. There’s so much packed into just 2 pages!
While this is probably only good for a one-shot or a two-shot, I think it’s definitely worth it. If you end up liking this game and want more from the same creator, you can also take a look at To Catch A Hellforged Swine, a system-agnostic adventure about hunting a cursed pig.
Gourmet Street, by theunlawfulneutral.
Gourmet Street is a setting that can be plopped directly into any world or adventure and serves up an extra side of gonzo fantasy. It is populated with street vendors serving every possible food you can conceive as well as a fascinating accoutrements of culinary artifacts, edible monsters, and bizarre dishes.
Another setting rather than game, Gourmet Street is great for OSR games like Knave or The Black Hack, but also works in games such as AD&D. It’s a street vendors’ alley, rife with rival factions and dangerous foods, as well as a series of custom, culinary-related monsters to throw at your players. There’s roll tables for dishes and their effects, as well as some descriptions of major food factions, including their defining characteristics, their advantages and disadvantages, and a quick summary of their values or goals. If you want the culinary process to be stick, dangerous, unpredictable and full of slime, this is the setting for you.
Iera Entera, by Nathan Blades.
In this world, Divine Beasts roam the land. Delivered to us from otherworldly realms, they lord over the grounds they manifest on. They’re incredibly violent, are replaced in mere days after being removed, and are capable of supernatural powers.
They’re also delicious.
This game takes the idea of eating monsters and turns it up to 11. You’re not just eating dungeon creatures - no, you’re hunting down Divine Beasts. The game is split into two sections - working out how to bring the Divine Beast down, and then figuring out how to cook the damn thing. If you are playing with folks who are familiar with Dungeon Meshi, I imagine they would have a lot of fun ideas about how to cook the entrails of a great beast, but there’s also three or four suggested beast hunts in the game itself to get you started.
Cook & Hero, by Raul Fontoura.
You’re an aspiring master cook, in a face off competition amongst worthy rivals to create the perfect dish. Unfortunately, you’re supposed to make it out of scary and scaly monsters in very dangerous underground conditions.
This is another pamphlet game, similar to Bakto’s Terrifying Cuisine, but the tone is very different. In Bakto’s, players are on the clock to satisfy a dangerous enemy. In Cook & Hero, the art conveys a more lighthearted competition, even if your character decides that it’s a matter of life or death. The 2-page game comes with some simple character creation, and the resolution uses a roll-under mechanic with a d10. It feels like it takes a number of cues from Honey Heist, but it’s definitely a distinct game.
Ghastronomy, by Timepool.
You are a ghastronomer, a chef that doesn’t cook for the living— but for the dead. You have been hired to help guide a ghost to the afterlife, by collecting the lost pieces of its soul and cooking ghostly grub to make it whole again.
Alongside your co-workers, you will arrive on the scene and use your cooking credentials and what you learned from each of your ghastronomy schools to find, obtain, and cook a wayward spirit's remaining traces. With proper planning, teamwork, and a little bit of luck—  you might just piece its soul back together before it fades away forever.
Ghastronomy looks fairly easy to learn, with an interesting apron mechanic in which your apron is also a shield. You’ll also probably all have different styles of cooking, as each character will come from a different culinary school. If you like the idea of cooking for more than just survival, and you want to incorporate the paranormal into your game, this might be for you!
Lutong Banwa, by Sinta Posadas / Diwata Ng Manila.
Lutong Banwa is a cooking game, where you set out to adventure and find ingredients from Spirits and recipes from old civilizations. Embark on this anti-canon storygame adventure with its own custom system and play to find out just what sort of zany adventures you can get up to in this weird, wild world. Do whatever you want.
Lutong Banwa feels like a cozier game than some of the others on this list, and I enjoy the perspective it brings to the genre. You are playing tamale, the successors of the earth after Humans have faded to history, trying to replicate old world dishes. Your characters will use a number of different-sided dice, depending on which stats they use, and what strengths they have. Rather than character death, your characters simply have a limited number of chances to complete a task before they are forced to rest for a day or so. Altogether the game encourages creative thinking and playing outside the box. I think this is an extremely charming game and you absolutely should check it out.

If you're willing I would love the link to the fic 🙏
Yes. Let me just copy and paste what I put on the actual post because I kinda need to get back to my actual job now lol
It's called A Wheel Inside A Wheel by natsinator. It's a role reversal AU for the scifi novel/anime series Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes is sprawling, politics-driven space opera about a war between an authoritarian, imperial empire and an increasingly corrupt democracy. The empire side of the story centers on an rising star commander named Reinhard, who aims to overthrow the Kaiser in order to create a truly just regime. The democracy side of the story centers on national hero Yang Wenli-- a pacifist, aspiring historian who is stuck in the military through both circumstance and, unfortunately, being really good at his job.
This AU proposes an "alternate" history where Reinhard lives in the democracy and Yang lives in the empire. It's very good and maintains both the source material's dense political and militaristic machinations while also juggling an expansive ensemble cast of characters.
I think you can read this without knowing the source material, but I highly recommend getting into it anyway. I watched the 1988's OVA series last summer and went clinically insane. Is the story very opaque and filled with (allegedly) 500+ named characters? Yes. It never got dubbed, so it turns into a lot of reading. Does it also have an intriguing plot bolstered by a bunch of iconic characters? Oh my god, yes. You will get so wrapped up in watching the story unfold and wanting the best for all the principal characters. You can watch the entire series for free on the Internet Archive.
There is also a 2018 remake that is still ongoing. I only started it recently, and it's not bad. However, in its pursuit of brevity, it also gets Reinhard and Yang, the beating hearts of the series, wrong. I guess they're in character, but the nuances that make them lovable and make you root for both of them are gone. Honestly, if there was in-universe propaganda about either character, this show would be it. You can watch it on crunchyroll.
So yeah. Please get into this. I am chewing my arm off. If I think about Yang Wenli for more than 2 seconds, I enter a wall-staring vortex that lasts for ~20 minutes

@finncomet replied to your post: "Um... I dunno! I didn't see him there, but I was also technically asleep at the time. But yeah, everything seems okay now, right? I mean... hopefully? I'm not exactly a moon expert."
The Fae Lord frowned, mulled it over, then simply shrugged.
Tumblr media
"...Bah, the important thing is that the problem is solved, not necessarily who did what. The relief from the stress alone should be boon enough in all honesty, but was there anything else on your mind Finn? Maybe now was when you wanted that spar, or advice on that methodology I mentioned for your training?"

as a vigilante dabi advocate, i do wonder if dabi's moral compass was, more so, greatly influenced by stain's words that perfectly encapsulated that directionless feeling he held for a long time, or was more of an amalgamation of his previous hero aspirations and unfortunate experience trying to become one (familial circumstances considered)
yes, dabi's descent into madness is tragic with great storytelling elements... but if dabi had a chance to become mentally better (and not *completely* succumb to the self-destructive path of vengeance and self-immolation), what do you guys believe should be included in his redemption arc story from villain to vigilante?

AU where Midoriya has a mind control Quirk
Again, leaving me so many loopholes to play with...
1- Midoriya Hisashi never had a fire breathing quirk. What he had was a mind control quirk that let him manipulate what people remembered or thought. So begins a very bad relationship for Inko, who definitely remembers her husband has a fire breathing quirk. Unfortunately, she can't even think about leaving him.
2- Hisashi realized that Izuku if didn't inherit his mother's quirk, it was very likely he'd inherit his, which... Would not be good for him. So he made sure Inko and Izuku remembered an appointment and that Izuku was quirkless.
3- "won't this be a problem if izuku has a mental quirk too"- yeah and he does. Since he's not using it actively, Izuku's effect on people is kinda... Subtle, undirected, and subconscious. Everyone in Izuku's class wants to be a hero, every year, when in the rest of the school, every other class only has about half the kids who aspire to heroism, and only a third who do so seriously. No one in their class stands up to Bakugo, even though plenty of them are annoyed because they don't like him and don't feel nearly as intimidated by him when they're out of school.
4- Izuku's quirk even effects Hisashi- izuku sees him as a deadbeat who's one redeeming quality is sending money every month, and so that's what sticks long after he has any of his own desire to play with those relationships
5- "hey so will OfA uh, make problems with that?" Yeah so Toshinori is unaffected by the quirk for the same reason they're protected from brainwashing,,, but,,, once he has OfA suddenly Izuku's thoughts are far more influential than before, and finally people start to notice the change.

A Primer on Actual (SFW-ish) Male Fanservice
Has this ever happened to you? You're making a social media post or video or whatever about Fire Emblem Heroes, and you point out that a primary feature of the game is its unrelenting torrent of horny-just-verging-on-explicit female character designs: the physics-defying bras, the impossibly-contorted boobs-and-butt poses, upskirts and camel toes galore, strategically-placed rips in damaged art, the odd foot focus here and there, etc.
You're making a good case - not that it's hard, IS is not subtle about any of this - but then someone comes along and leaves a comment to the effect of "but the summer banners have shirtless men! Checkmate, loser."
This post aims to counter that, to demonstrate that genuine male fanservice on par with what FEH does with its female characters looks very, very different and amounts to much more than just muscular guys with their shirts off. To do so, I'm going to have to pull example art from pretty much the only video game subgenre that can be relied upon to deliver here: sexually explicit gay dating sims. We're going to be looking at how these games frame the male body, and what sexualized (partial) male nudity really looks like outside of the aspirational power fantasy lens adopted by most mainstream, straight-male directed media including FEH.
Of course, I'm gay myself, and I can anticipate the rebuttal to this rebuttal - that women, allegedly, do not eroticize the body in the same way as men...unless they're dirty fujoshi in which case their opinions can be immediately discarded. I leave it to any women reading this to have fun unpacking that nonsense.
(It must be noted that, while the games I'm pulling these images from are all explicit, I've gone out of my way to select art that would theoretically fall within what seem to be the content guidelines of FEH: no exposed genitals or bare butts. I'm labeling this post SFW-ish all the same though, so use your discretion when viewing.)
Let's start with something simple and softcore from Coming Out on Top.
Tumblr media
This is a variant on a popular mild fanservice image: a guy lifts his shirt, exposing his belly (and possibly stomach hair). In context this is also intended to convey vulnerability, as the character is drunk and struggling to undress. Also noteworthy is that the framing here is explicit with the MC in the shot.
Continuing with the softer stuff, here's one from clicker game Blush Blush.
Tumblr media
This game has a bunch of technically SFW options to choose from, but I went with this for two reasons. One, it's an example of how shirtless men can be eroticized without being excessively muscular; two, it's a goofy holiday pic that teases with the strategically-placed candy cane and the allusion to the "Dick in a Box" Saturday Night Live song. The NSFW variation of this image goes full throttle with that idea.
From All Men Are Pigs:
Tumblr media
I really wanted to include something from this game as its art style stands out quite a bit in contrast to many of the others here, although unfortunately some of the best examples break the rule. Here in a rare (for these games) non-sexual action pose, the character is performing a ballet routine on a stripper pole in a gay bar: a campy concept that works fairly well in context and that explicitly calls attention to the character as an eroticized object. He is, however, consenting to the in-universe ogling, and as he's elsewhere revealed to have experience with sex work it's understood that he knows the value of showing off his body. Call that something you'd never hear a character express in FEH...except someone like Camilla, perhaps?
Let's get a little spicier with a pair from Full Service.
Tumblr media
This may be the tamest of the swimwear outfits seen in the game's beach episode, but I wanted something that would compare to the summer banner designs of FEH's male characters. Even so, note the pose: reclining, legs slightly open, displaying a single nipple. This guy is the biggest bottom in the game's cast and is framed as such, even with the relatively conservative outfit and the sunglasses obscuring his face (which symbolically tie into his internalized biphobia and anxiety about publicly expressing his attraction to men). Further, because this character is a model it may be assumed that the posing is intended to be read as deliberate.
Tumblr media
This one comes from the game's costume night set piece, which includes several designs that wouldn't be out of place in some of the more random seasonal banners. I chose this one as a counterpoint to what FEH does with its shirtless men. There's the cocky expression, the crotch bulge with nothing underneath, and the angling which makes it look like he's standing over you. To contrast the beach image, this guy is the total top of the cast, so the musclebound partial nudity is less about being aspirational for the presumed viewer and more about erotic dominance.
For something more fantastical, here's one from the sci-fi title The Symbiant: Re:Union.
Tumblr media
This game's main claim to fame is alien tentacle porn, but this scene is intended as a moment of genuine, human(oid) vulnerability for the character, on the night when he reunites with his ex (the MC and viewer here) for the first time in two years. The camera pans up over his entire body, ending on this view in profile with a very large nip slip and the cigarette calling attention to his hand and mouth. As with several others, this image is also deliberate enticement, conveying both the languor of casual hookups and the weight of the characters' history together. (Obviously a mobile gacha doesn't have the space to grant such narrative or thematic significance to its eroticism...but that is part of the point.)
Moving along, here's one from Camp Buddy: Scoutmaster Season. Get ready for the just-shy-of-X-rated.
Tumblr media
This one's a character portrait, unlike all the others here which are CGs, so debatably it's more in line with what you'd see in FEH. And...yep. It's a sexy bull costume. "Crotch bulge" doesn't begin to cover it, there's the pubic hair, the pierced nipples, and assorted other bits like the bell and the saddle and the tailed butt plug. Some time ago I showed off a different horny character design from this game and got an anon calling it stupid, so let's talk about that. Is this design technically something someone could wear in real life? Yes; parts of it resemble bondage gear, and the character displays his interest in leather in another scene. Is it impractical and stupid? Quite possibly. Does the subsequent sex scene take full advantage of the costume for some Dom/sub barnyard roleplay? Also yes. This continues my point about designing beefy (heh) muscular guys, and how there's a world of difference between this and, like, Hawkeye or summer Ephraim/Dimitri/whoever.
Incidentally, this character also has an oversized dick to the point of straining disbelief and the MC's insides. If you're looking for the male equivalent of breasts so enormous they can barely be held in by barely-there tops, that would be giant dicks - and there's no way in hell that we'll ever see those in FEH, even in technically SFW bulge form.
Continuing with BLits's games, here's one from the upcoming Jock Studio.
Tumblr media
It's a male boobs-and-butt pose, one that doesn't require the character to dislocate his spine! I chose this image because the pose and outfit choice is remarkably similar to that of the notorious Tharja Summer Scramble DLC pic that got censored outside of Japan. Jock Studio actually has a better instance of the same pose with a different character, one where the MC's horny dialogue even calls attention to the ampleness of those two elements; unfortunately, the character has his underwear off there so it's too horny for this post. Much like Tharja with Anna in the DLC, here the character is being surprised by someone walking in while they're changing and making comically lewd remarks about their body. The contextual difference is that, rather than being forced into a swimsuit, the character here is disrobing to film a pornographic scene, and is only surprised by the MC only just now learning that their club makes porn. Hilarity ensues in both cases, but JS's setup is ironically less voyeuristic despite the game's premise.
Finally, let's close things out with one last image from Coming Out on Top. Very borderline, but I've got a distinct point to make with this one.
Tumblr media
Like a lot of media, gay dating sims often struggle with eroticized depictions of various types of men, among them fat, hairy, and middle-aged (or older). I believe the oldest human character with a stated age in this post is the bull guy, and he's merely in his 40s. But back to the image above, it takes full advantage of the size and age of the character on the right relative to the MC. His bulk takes up much of the frame, but it's clearly an intimate, protective embrace you'd expect of a bear daddy character. I point this out because larger and/or older male characters are often disregarded outright in FEH, or like Fargus recently they're paradoxically given more fanservice-y designs (Visible nipples and chest hair! In FEH!) presumably because the developers think that no one would look at them that way.
I think that's enough for now. The important thing to remember here is that sexual fanservice is more than simply degrees of nudity. It's about framing, angling, which body parts are emphasized, and when possible the surrounding circumstances and how they inform the character's eroticism. Is it deliberate, is it accidental...
...or is it just there to get you to gamble for your favorites?

hello your art is amazing !! i wondered, do you have hcs / doodles / thoughts about the aftermath of the 1955 disaster ? be it eins and tesla's reaction, how they had to support each others to rise again, how eins had to survive joyce's loss etc... also i'm curious because we always talk about einjoyce in 55 naturally, but the game showed us she still thinks of him even in 2018, it's been so long.... after all the welt joyce is the whole pillar emblem and creation of anti-entropy, it must be hard to be one of the founder of a worldwide organization based on your old lover's legacy otl
Thank you very much!!! Both for the compliment and the question. I often think about 55's aftermath, of course. And these thoughts torment me most of the time so that I draw sketches and make hcs about the alternative outcome. Sometimes I do want to draw more arts about canonical events, and I probably will but it's just...hard.
Now further goes my headcanonical 1955 disaster aftermath and einjoyce fan ramble and I’m sorry in advance if this is not what you expected to hear from me:
In the novel, Ada mentioned that after waking up, Ein and Tesla accepted everything that had happened very calmly. But I imagine Ada wasn't present there when they woke up, she spent all her time with Joachim and took care of him. And maybe at some point, the boy got so attached to her that that’s why he eventually decided to run away with her for 20 years, away from the problems and legacy of the late hero (And then hi3 mentions Ada only...what, once?) I imagine that Ada was really the only one who could look after Joachim because Planck spent most of her time in the hospital.
So, now let’s talk about Planck. I love Emma, she might have quirks but she’s very dear to me. She played the mother figure whose presence could bring the sense of peace, comfort and safety. Emma was “everything is going to be alright” person with a strong yet soft spirit, she was someone Lieserl aspired to be. But oh, how lonely she’d been...throughout all her life. I think Carl was the only one who understood her like no one else. Then she lost him and was on the verge of losing her dear girls. Not to mention she had already lost Edison and Schrodinger. She had to take Edison's place and single-handedly create an entire organization out of the ashes, and Schrodinger...Planck did not live to see the day when it turned out that Erwin was alive. So yeah, Emma was a lonely woman with no one by her side but the unthinkable unbearable burden, she was the first one who had to carry the weight of the World on her shoulders. All in all, back in 1955-56 Plank was either in the hospital or busy trying to find a new base. Oh, yes, most likely she had to organize funerals which Ein and Tesla, obviously, missed.
Ein and Tesla...as I’ve already said once, not seeing waking-up-from-coma scene in the novel was the greatest loss but the greatest blessing at the same time. I think it was the hardest and most horrific moment in their lives. And I also like to imagine around then they got drunk together for the first time.
To be honest, I admire Tesla's copium and how she's doing...mostly alright these days. Especially regarding her unfortunate life. But damn how easily 1955 can trigger her. I think she's been holding a very deep personal grudge against Welt all these years. She almost never mentions him or speaks his name out load and, in general, she never speaks of those years either, unlike Ein. If Ein and Joachim are stuck mentally in the past, Tesla seems to exist only within "today". It's only when Joachim tries to sacrifice himself over and over again all the accumulated resentment and despair wakes up in her. Because Welt's sacrifice did all this to Joachim and Welt's legacy is louder than Tesla's cry to stop playing a lonely hero. I think Tesla is a definition of "I told you so" in this story. She was the one who foresaw Welt's death. She was the one who wanted to share her "know there's nothing worth remembering in our lives so there's no need to dwell on the past" ideology to help him let go of the guilt and start appreciating his life. I think she cared about him no less then Ein because I see Tesla and Welt as a younger brother/older sister duo, they always bicker, tease but care for each other nonetheless. So of course when she woke up, she was lost, angry, hysterical and hurt. I think she deserves no less than Joachim or Ein the opportunity to meet Welt again and to talk everything she’s been holding inside all these years out. But apparently this was too boring for the writers, and they just decided to erase Welt’s soul for forever and took away from AE the opportunity to try locating his soul in the core and bring him back when they’re not busy preventing the end of the world every day. But instead, we got Joffrey (I have nothing against the boy but this whole clone thing just feels so.... utterly wrong, help). And I find it ironic that the one who unwillingly made Tesla’s life a mess is, kinda, became her son whom she’s been taking care of and who will be by her side from now on.
And Lieserl...you know, I’ve never been a fan of romantic stories but somehow einjoyce got a chokehold on me and my heart, for me they’re the true manifestation of soulmates and match-made-in-heaven thing. I already had a little brainrot post about her living after 1955 but yes, you are right, she still thinks of him even in 2018 and I still can’t wrap my mind around it. That and the fact she’d been analysing him for 3 years before she took him in to the 42 lab. For 3 years, without seeing him in person (and she even tried to practice talking less “nonsense” so she would look mysterious and idk attractive to him? But totally failed on the very first day spent together with him). And then, in the course of one, ONE, month Welt became someone who could not only understand Ein’s quirks, chaotic thoughts but also enjoy her personality and communicate with her in pure silence. He was the last one she talked to so freely and who actually listened to her. And Lieserl being ready to rather die than let Erwin hurt Welt is a whole “hear me out” conversation on its own. So yes, I believe a part of her died that day with Welt and the other - later on with the death of her "ultimate navigator" Planck (I still think about how she shortly mentioned that that period was a nightmare for the organization). Now she's just Doctor Einstein and even though she acts as her younger self from time to time she still feels like an... empty cold vessel with an escapistic fixation on work, books and games. And if she has no Tesla to tease, no work to do, no book to read and no game to play, she escapes into nostalgic thoughts. Does she really care about the future of the world and humanity? Because I think she can't care less about 99% people around her. She and Joachim are just driven by symbolic and twisted sense of Welt's legacy who thought his death would be insignificant and then it turned their lives upside down and inside out. Does she even care about Joachim or just sees him as a part of Welt’s legacy?
But back to the 1956.
Would it be too sadistic to imagine she had a long dream in which no one died whilst she was in coma? I remember I had an old headcanon similar to this one but it's about present days where 14th Herrscher puts everyone to sleep with an ideal dream. And it back loops to the moment when Ein wakes up in sweat early in the morning in the villa of Southend-on-Sea.
But anyway. The moment when she woke up from coma...I’m no writer but let’s say her consciousness awakened before her sensations. She couldn't understand where she was or who she was. She didn't remember what happened. And this void of perception caused both calmness and unease for her, everything around felt like through fathomless water. It was hard for her to open eyes and concentrate because she was met by blinding light and dizziness instead. Her hands were shaking, and her body was shivering when she tried to get up. As she called for Welt and Tesla her lips felt numb and every word seemed to scratch her throat, taking away all her energy so that she was ready to fall asleep again. And let’s say Tesla woke up sooner than Ein so that Nicola and Emma were both in anticipation and fear of the moment when she would wake up only to split her life into “before” and “after” with mere three words. She would be in denial and panic would slowly rise up her throat. As the realisation set in, she would slowly suffocate on the verge of tears. Because all of it was so unfair, she entrusted her little World’s fate to the world, and it took him away. She failed to protect him, and the guilt slowly consumed her from the inside day after day, year after year. And to give her an eternal life with an option of ending it by her will is... sigh. I hope she and Tesla at least got sedative pills while in hospital.
So that’s when Tesla and Ein formed a strong bond. But their problem is that they are constantly keeping all their opinions, feelings and thoughts to themselves (yes, even Tesla) and most likely it resulted in various quarrels and then Emma helped them realise that from now on they only have each other and the life will go on but in the end... they will be the only one left.
Sometimes I forget that not long after all of this hospital chaos they took part in numerous interviews with Joachim who had to shapeshift into Welt's appearance, and he had to do that for years. That's almost as dreadful as getting eternal lives.
As you can see, I can endlessly talk about them and all the known scenes they took part in after 1955. I honestly tried to write my thoughts as short as possible, and I hope you don’t regret opening this door into abyss of my endless thoughts with your question.

Pls make a list of books you recommend to aspiring writers<3
Ok. Aspiring/burgeoning writer starter kit:
In writing anything you officially become a writer so that’s step one haha, no need to aspire too much. BUT. I’m going to soapbox for a bit using this ask as an excuse love u kissing u etc. So. This will barely be about books, but sort of the recipe of what I (personally and subjectively) think will help anyone who wants to grow their craft. (I know because I've been writing seriously for 14 years)
The act of writing is the best practice you can get but having a well from which to draw on creatively and skill wise in order to DO that practice is the trickier part. And sometimes we can be found lacking because we’re either NOT refilling that well enough, consciously enough, or only with the same sorts of things so it gets stagnant. This is a long one so I’ll shove it under the cut haha.
The recipe:
Study craft
Broaden horizons
Diversify consumption
Consume with intention
Apply with reference
1) Study craft: this is the easiest to make sense of, right? I want to get good at writing so I read books about writing yada yada. Whatever you’re writing, it’s made up of a lot of moving parts, and you can dedicate time studying EACH PART, but figure out what you have the least experience with, or the most difficulty with, and start there. Also, before I go on to preach about why you shouldn’t solely stake your growth on some dusty old books, here’s some dusty old books I recommend:
The Elements of Style (strunk/white/kalman) (really quick and abbreviated advice, read every bit of this but remember: rules are important to know so you can decide which are worth following and which are in need of breaking for the pursuit of your goals. And nobodies perfect, or editors wouldn’t have a job)
Bird by Bird (Anne Lamott) (excellent work about fostering a process, important for everyone who finds themselves a little lost on how to just. Start)
Wonderbook (Jeff Vandermeer) (I haven’t read this one but knowing Vandermeers work this is on my TBR and I KNOW it’s going to be enlightening)
How to Read Literature like a Professor (Thomas C. Foster) (perfect for those who can see others stories working but unsure how to make their own work, I personally didn’t read much of this one but this will help people to more critically engage with what they’re consuming)
Save the Cat Writes a Novel/Joseph Campbells Hero’s Journey/On Writing and Worldbuilding/etc (all of these are on structure and craft in a concrete sense), I would recommend either choose one OR getting the abbreviated/digestible versions through YouTube because a lot of these can repeat themselves. I’m working on a playlist of writing craft/structure videos that I found helpful, so keep an eye out for that)
So. Studying craft should be a multidisciplinary process. Articles online, videos on niche media, books on craft or copying things from your favorites, looking for yourself in the movies you watch or fiction you read. Punctuation, prose, structure, rhetoric, character, world building, pacing, etc. Unfortunately, no matter how seasoned you become as a writer, you will always be learning new things about the craft itself.
It should be fun and I honestly feel like an enlightened little scientist when I see something that really cracks the open the magic for me (ex: scenes that serve more than one purpose are OF COURSE going to be more engaging that scenes with only one purpose- duh) (of COURSE magic systems should have a cost) (of COURSE the characters cant always win OR always lose)
2) Broaden horizons: consuming fiction and studying it is key to knowing how to reproduce it. We start with the training wheels of imitation before we ride away full speed into truly unique original storytelling. But the most impactful and thought-provoking stories are more than just fiction, so you need to know more than stories. Science, history, art, craft, math, music, cooking, psychology, religion, whatever!
Everyone always parrots “write what you know”, but what you KNOW can expand to influence what you write- so keep learning new things all the time and for fun, because you never know what could help your story. Your knowledge is not limited to experience alone, and research is your best friend. ASOIAF was so loved because George RR Martin loved not only fantasy, but British history. The Folk of the Air series is so loved because Holly Blacks special interest is faeries.
Note: this does not mean the study of OTHER PEOPLES trauma and experiences in an appropriative way, rather, become worldly. Because sure, knowing what a gunshot feels like adds realism, but I don’t care about realism if I don’t care about your characters or world. Science fiction is the best example of this: so many of those stories stick with us generationally because they’re pointing a lens back at humanity, asking big philosophical questions with science, which is something that touches us all.
But it doesn’t even need to be Big and Thematic like that. My dear friend @chaylattes has a project where she’s applied her love of plants to the world building AND plot, and has INVENTED whole plant species that enriched their work with something so exclusively Chay. No one else could write Andromeda Rogue because Chay, with specific interests and knowledge, put that specificity into the story.
3) Diversify consumption: surrounding yourself with more of the same means you’re going to regurgitate the same, derivatively. To be a hater for a moment: I can tell within the first chapter if someone only reads/watches one kind of media (m*rvel, fairy smut, grim dark nonsense, etc), and it’s distracting. When I read that derivative work, I’m not thinking about THEIR story. All I can think of is the people who did it first, and better.
Alternatively, the best work draws on the unexpected. Fantasy work taking notes from horror, science fiction including humanistic romance, romance with elements of mystery. RF Kuangs work feels so smart because she’s literally a PHD candidate who’s reading of academic writing. Cassandra Clares work is so interpersonally messy and hard to look away from because she watches a lot of reality television.
Genre is less a set of cages to lock yourself inside of and more so the sections of a great big fictional playground- and you need to start playing. Rules, again, are guidelines that can be bent for the sake of your stories. I predominantly write scifi/fantasy/horror but some of my favorite stuff is literary fiction, historical nonfiction, thrillers, and poetry.
And if you can’t bring yourself to read different genres, it takes significantly less effort to WATCH different genres. Television and film are stories too, and can absolutely be learned from.
4) Consume with intention: this is easier said than done. I, embarrassingly, admit that I did not have any reading comprehension skills until I was at least 19. I was consuming, but I wasn’t thinking a damn critical thought, just spitting it back out in a way that sounded smart.
Critical thinking skills (I say, on the website that historically lacks such a thing) are a muscle that needs to be exercised just as often as your writing muscle. Reading new work, studying craft, learning new shit- none of it matters if you can’t APPLY it all to a story. One can take a clock apart to learn how exactly it ticks, but it won't tell time like a watch until you put it back together.
The key is asking questions, all of the time about everything. That whole “why the curtains were blue” nonsense comes to mind, but if you want to be a good writer, (edit: a writer that cares about whether or not their work is vapid imitation of better work) learning to ask WHY the curtains are blue really does matters.
Ask why in ALL stories you consume, including your own. Why do Ghibli films make me feel calm? (Motifs of undisturbed nature, low stakes plots and quiet scenes of reprieve between action, characters that care about one another and aren’t afraid to show it) Why do I fly through a Gillian Flynn novel but take 8,000 years to read other books? (Concise descriptions, realistic but evocative premise, witty voice, contained and fast paced plot, an abundance of questions driving the mystery leading up to a satisfying crash of answers at the end) Why were the curtains blue, the coffee cup chipped, and the lipstick stain on the rim red instead of purple or pink? And why did the colors matter at all when the scene is about a father at a kitchen table? (You tell me!) Answers may vary.
You can put the work into learning the answer at the source (ie: listening to authors talk about their own work), or through the external interpretations of a critic (proceed with caution here), sure. These are even good when learning HOW to think critically if you don’t even know where to start. But your growth as a writer depends on your ability to answer your OWN questions.
(Why do I feel tense in this scene? Is it because the character says they’re sweating and struggling to breathe? Is it because I’ve been told the monsters close? Is it because the sentences are getting shorter and the author keeps repeating descriptions of that monsters massive bloody teeth coming closer? Or is it because I know the gun in her hands has no bullets because another character already tried what she’s about to try?)
(Why do I feel sad in this scene? Is it because the characters mom just died? Is it because the character can’t even verbalize that sadness to others? Is it because none of the other characters seem to care enough to ask? Is it because of the wilted flowers in the corner? Or is it because there are daisies in the bouquet, and those were the moms favorite?)
I can nod and smile at 1000 opinions about “why X did Y and the end of Z” or “why X is Y and not Z” but how I felt when I consume something, how I was affected and how it made ME PERSONALLY answer my critical questions, that’s what’s important. That’s how we manufacture gay subtext in everything, because sometimes gay is a feeling as opposed to a fact.
Also, if those subjective answers are inconsistent among readers/viewers, the writer likely had their own intentions a little muddled. So, and I know I’m getting tangential but stay with me: romance. You know how you’re supposed to feel happy or convinced that the people falling in love are like, in love? And want to put yourself in that position or whatever? I CANNOT consume most romance media because it all comes off as categorically terrifying to me. I ask myself why the characters are doing what they do, reacting the way they react, saying way they say, and none of it feels romantic. I want to file a restraining order, and that’s the failing of the author, who did not make enough conscious choices in their work and accidentally created horror while writing their color by numbers trope slop of a “romance” novel.
5) Apply with reference: is like taking all your ingredients and finally cooking. You want people to notice and respect when you add certain literary devices, descriptions, character choices, but not to the detriment of your work. Shows like stranger things are popular but divisive because their intertextuality and reliance on nostalgia bolster an otherwise unoriginal idea. They weren’t trying to reinvent the wheel, they were writing a love letter to Stephen Spielberg, and are riding that wave into the ground. But the fairy dick renaissance doesn’t feel nearly as palatable as season one of stranger things did because a lot of times they aren’t using the ingredients in their own way, rather, following the recipe to a T and selling it as new. Food really is the perfect metaphor and sorry in advance because I’m really going to run with it here lol.
When I eat a meal, first of all I know I'm eating food, so don't try and trick me into thinking otherwise or I'll only get annoyed. I want to be able to taste all of what’s in front of me, spice, salt, sweet, bitter, etc and know what what you said you've fed me is really actually truly what I've eaten. One ingredient, or writing choice, shouldn’t overpower another, or surprise me so much I can’t take another bite. I shouldn’t try something you call “sauced and baked yeast patty garnished with fermented milk and smoked meat” and think “this shits pizza” because you didn’t even try to jazz it up more than what the instructions on the digiorno box said. I also shouldn’t bite into something you call a pizza and only taste bread because you really like bread and forgot that a pizza is more than just bread.
But inversely, avoiding all ingredients gets you weird, nary inedible shit like charred milk reduction with lamb mist or whatever. Show me you have knowledge in your genre by referencing it AND remixing it, show me that you studied craft by foreshadowing properly or pacing well, show me you’re more than an AI writerbot by deepening your work with your unique and human influence, show me you read broadly by adding surprising ingredients, and show me that you mean every word you write because you made the curtains blue instead of yellow, and topped your pizza with pepperoni instead of pineapple.
Congrats on making it all the way through my rambling, hope I made sense and that this helped!

This Day in History: Capture of Fort Ticonderoga
On this day in 1775, Benedict Arnold sets out to capture Fort Ticonderoga. You might think of Arnold as a traitor, but he was then still an aspiring hero! Unfortunately, the ambitious colonel would soon discover that Ethan Allen’s Green Mountain Boys were also headed to Ticonderoga.
How awkward?! Nevertheless, the two men joined forces. They would ultimately capture the fort in a mere 10 minutes.
It had been just a few short weeks since the “shot heard round the world” at Lexington and Concord.
The story continueshere: https://www.taraross.com/post/tdih-capture-ticonderoga
