Listen. Hermes loves gossip. He's the messenger god, he's big on gossip, it's just natural, darling!

He visits you often with whatever new gossip he heard, spending hours with his head on your lap, just talking away as you play with his hair. Most of the time, you barely know who he's talking about, but you just let him ramble on, happy to spend time with your immortal lover.

Of course, there's some gossip that never reaches you. Or anyone, for that matter. Because why would it reach anyone if it' just pure nonsense, insulting your sweet self? Your honor and name? Oh, no, no, no. He can't have stupid insults about his darling going around!

So, you know, what's a few mortals to a god, right?

He doesn't kill them, of course. He could, but that's such a boring solution, you know? No, he has better ways to handle things like this, he's the messenger god, after all! And sometimes, that includes... sending a message.

Hermes is good at gossip, especially since he's great friends with Apollo. All it takes is just a few words and his brother is in on the plan. Then his muses. And then all people in the nasty little gossiper's polis. They become the victim of their very own weapon.

That's right, the gossip they tried to spread about the lover of Hermes, was now being spread about them, almost word for word... except of course, with Apollo's dramatic flare, the Muses' own little spin, and then the beautiful thing that humans tend to do - forgetting something and replacing it with other, often way more messed up, thing.

He considers it rather funny. So funny, in fact, that now, whenever he visits you, he makes the briefest of stops to see how they're taking their punishment...

-Now this is an interesting dynamic! Sprout is protective over the two of you and makes sure to take care of you two as best as he can and Looey is this kinda shy mess that really tries his best. Every day is interesting with those two as Sprout always makes sure you two are feeling well and likes to make you two food he knows you will like! Looey always likes to bring a smile to your faces and he does that through his circus shows or even by simple jokes and random tricks up his sleeves like juggling, as an example! And then, there was you, who was in the middle of all of this.

-Sprout always made sure everyone ate for the day but it's kinda double the amount when it comes to you two and his best friend, Cosmo. He likes to make sure you are all fed well and have the energy to function for the day. While Sprout is not the forcing type, he does encourage you two a lot to eat when you haven't, he is a concerned boy who just wants the best for you two. If you don't feel like eating, that's alright with him, just please tell him later on to make you something to your liking! Even eating something light is fine with him. Sprout will always remind you two if you have forgotten about it.

-Looey is more shy but he really likes it when he sees a smile either on you or Sprout or even the both of you! You two actually help boost his confidence when it comes to the performances he puts on with his friends. You two are a big reason why he does super well, yes, he is more flustered but pretty happy as well. When he sees you two smiling at him or even the compliments he receives from you two afterwards? His tail is wagging as he feels his cheeks red and his heart racing! He is pretty proud of himself for making his lovers this glad and happy, it's something that makes him feel more happier and confident, not a lot but it's definitely noticable.

-The dynamic with you three is also a nice sight to witness! Sprout's protective nature shows and he loves to make sure you two are always okay and if not, please don't hesitate to let him know if something is wrong! Sprout wouldn't really get mad at you or Looey, he is determined to find a solution and take care of you as best as he can, offering things here and there for you or Looey to feel better. Cuddles? Kisses? Soft words? Advice? You got it! Looey likes to be there quietly instead if you or Sprout have a hard time and you three take care of each other in your own ways!

-Speaking of affection, Sprout probably gives most of it! Looey is more shy and prefers taking his time and Sprout loves to show you two how much you truly mean to him. Sprout can get shy himself but he definitely likes taking the first moves and gently stroking your heads or even leaving quick peck kisses here and there. Try to show him affection back and Sprout feels himself getting flustered as he is laughing softly at your affection, it definitely makes him feel more warm and fuzzy inside though! Looey gets more flustered easily but that doesn't mean he doesn't lean towards you or Sprout happily!

-Since you and Sprout come to Looey's circus shows, you and Looey also show your support by visiting Sprout in the kitchen when he is cooking or baking some delicious sweets! He really appreciates it when you two sit down to help him and Cosmo and he loves to make a bit more extra just to give it to you two as a thanks for all the help. Sprout is also big on the praises and even helps guide you two to what to do next this and that in this firm yet gentle voice of his. Cooking or baking with him is really fun! Looey worries if he is doing a good job and Sprout loves to say yes and even guide him and even you if you are struggling! It can be chaotic, yes, but it's fun!

-Cuddling or even sleeping at night all together, snuggling up to each other like this is also something really nice. Sprout loves to be the big spoon as he tries wrapping his arms around the two of you or even resting his hand somewhere like your backs or shoulders, just a nice warmth that reminds you that he is always there for you. Looey gets flustered with the whole thing and might even overheat a little, just take it slow with him and he'll probably be good enough to show some shy affection back! His hands sweat and he is nervous and his tail is wagging lowly, reassure him gently if possible!

-It's also pretty funny how Sprout's kisses can be a little rough but he also means well. He just loves watching the two of you get flustered just by kissing you, either on your faces, everywhere else he can kiss and especially your lips! Looey, like said before, is more shy and needs time but you can't lie, when he leans into the side of your head or does something simple like squeezing your or Sprout's hand, it's something that makes you two melt since Looey usually hides his face, curls up somewhere when flustered and this and that. So moments like these are rare but so worth it to see!

-You know you can count on them for anything and know that they also have your side with anything you want to do! Those two support you through it all and love to show you in their own ways, whether it's Sprout praising you or Looey making sure to make you smile as you giggle! You can always lean back on your boyfriends for everything and you know they'll be right by your side, helping ground you if you feel nervous or this and that or even physical touches that help keep you calm (or them using their words if physical touch is something you don't really like/are comfortable with).

-Overall, it's all pretty wholesome and those two are happier than ever to be with you. Since both of them are quite tall, you like to compare your height with them for fun and they think it's cute! Sprout often gives you cupcakes to both you and Looey and Looey likes to make you smile at least once a day! Those two love each other and you so much and they are very happy in this relationship! They can't wait to see what the future has for them but as long as you three are together and always cheering and supporting each other like that, they feel like everything will always be okay.

For one thing, there's a tree in the courtyard put there years ago by a witch whose powers seem to surpass hers; for another, there's Alya la Pluvie Versaunt, who must be the most powerful mage Juleka has ever met...

Unusual poly here, there aren't a lot of Juleka/Kagami/Marinette fics! I love the world here, getting to see all these different witches honing their craft, and Juleka making friends with many of them - though especially the nonwitches Kagami and Marinette, of course XD. So this fic is entirely from Kagami's POV, and it is a treat! It's an Adrigaminette fic, which you slowly figure out from reading the fic, if you didn't check the tags - Kagami may have tried not to like Adrien, but he grew on her regardless, and then a few chapters in you find out about hers and Marinette's failed relationship. I loved slowly finding out why the two of them broke up, when there are clearly still strong feelings between them, and how it ties into Kagami's character arc and the overall themes of the story: standing up for yourself, breaking free from those who would control you, and forging your own path.

He blocks out the presence of all of his friends watching, and instead focuses on Nino - like Nino is a stage partner in a photoshoot. Except kissing Nino is nothing like a photoshoot. … Adrien kisses Nino in a game of Spin the Bottle, and then neither can stop thinking about it. Alya really likes how flustered her boyfriend is by all this. Marinette though, can’t handle it and keeps running away.

This is a great Alya X Adrien X Nino X Marinette poly fic! I love them all talking out their feelings and realizing new things about themselves. Alya’s instrumental and bringing everyone together, though she, herself, is also nervous about confessing to her longstanding crush XD

• You can spin stories better than most demons, even covering up a handful of true stories.

• You've worked for Leviathan, a number of Goetias, and even the Morningstars.

• Being hired by Ozzie and Fizz was a lot more work than you expected, though.

• Not only did you find out that they were together romantically, meaning that you'd need to keep the secret as hidden as possible, which was difficult when they decided to be sweet "behind closed doors."

• Dealing with the servants who had found out was a blast.

• (That was sarcasm, btw.)

• On top of that, you also began to develop a whole range of feelings for the both of them as you became a part of their lives.

• Turns out those feelings were somewhat reciprocated.

• After a few months, the three of you came up with the best plan you could.

• A lot of the controversy was directed more at Ozzie, as he was the one big on carnal desire over romance.

• Fizz was not as big of a deal.

• So, you and Fizzarolli began to "date."

• There was definitely some push back, but it was a decent success.

• A couple of public dates, love letters, and pictures taken by paparazzi(you, actually) later, and things were relatively calm.

• It wasn't a permanent solution, though, so you set to work on a separate project...

• Making the Lust Ring cool with Ozzie and Fizz's "non-existent" relationship.

• It did take a while.

• Scratch that, it took way too long.

• Turns out most people in Lust were actually okay with it, it was the press and other rings that were the problem.

• The other rings of Hell would take far too long to deal with, so you set your eyes on the newspapers.

• Lots of papers in Lust are actually sponsored by either Greed or Envy.

• Greed goes where the money goes, so theoretically, if the tabloids and rumors weren't as profitable, they may drop those stories.

• That left you with Envy, which had always been a pain for you.

• While Greed takes the actual newspapers, Envy picks up the cheesy tabloids. It's less about making a profit and more about making people feel terrible, especially when it's something the writers and bosses don't have.

• Luckily, you still had some good will with Leviathan, and so you doubled down on getting the stories stopped.

• You still were working with Asmodeus and Fizz, and even though you weren't in a real relationship, Fizz was getting worried about you overworking yourself.

• They both were, actually.

• You were dead set on this going, though, so they couldn't talk you out of it.

• They took the next best thing, though, forcing you to stay at their very luxurious penthouse.

• You even slept in their bed. If you wanted to, that is.

• You probably would've picked up on the fact they were trying to romance you, but alas, you were too focused.

• It took a long few months of persuasion, company scandals, bribes, and an unhealthy amount of blackmail, you got most of Lust on board, at the very least.

• And when you told them, they were thrilled!

• You organized a little interview with a local news channel (the host owed you, after all) and they finally came out as a couple.

• When you were asked about, you were expecting Ozzie and Fizz to tell the truth about your fake relationship.

• But they said you... could be a part of it for real?

• Yeah, they asked you out on TV, and you accepted.

• Even if the pressure from the show wasn't there, you would've said yes anyways.

• Your final task for them was getting an article in a paper out, talking about how beautiful Fizz and Ozzie's relationship was.

• And now that the job is finally done, you can cuddle up to your new boyfriends without a care in the world.

they all treat the children as their own, there isn't any favouritism shown in front of the children (obvs the dads to each corresponding child would bond a little more closer to them but you get the gist)

it's simply a tradition for each child to receive a kiss before the men go off to work. soap and ghost have rushed out in a hurry but quickly do a u turn and come back to press a tender kiss to the children and then you and then they leave in a hurry

it's a loud chaotic house (assuming you all live together) but you're never alone in taking care of the kids

simon does cooking, price does the cleaning, gaz and johnny washes up and you entertain the children and get them all ready for bed (yes they do the cooking and the cleaning ‼️)

bedtime stories. all the babies cuddled up on their own dad's chest while you read a story for them, resulting in most days waking up to see them sleeping all in one bed since no one had the heart to move the sleeping babies from their chest

My normal PSA: Just posting my random poly relationship headcannons. I include MC, but I don't give many (if any) headcannons for MC due to the nature of the game being MC=you. These are just silly HC I thought of randomly. Hopefully you enjoy? I do occasionally swear in my Headcannons or make minor pop culture references. I also don't consider gender when using a gendered descriptor to get a silly point across (for example, Sylus is a wine Aunt. Aunt refers to a female individual, but used to portray a stereotype even though referring to a man). I think that really covers my headcannon style.

Mini Group date HC Part 1: I'll post other date ideas in future posts. I will maybe expand on each of these individually later, but these are super short mini headcannons.

Bowling:

- Sylus actually is secretly a Bowling master. Perfect form, bowls a near perfect score every game.

- Zayne is either hitting a strike or a gutter in full confidence. It's literally left to fate in his hands.

- Xavier will always get a 7-10 split no matter what he does. Every. Single. Time. Never knows when it's his turn and will sometimes accidentally bowl for someone else.

- Rafyel is not too bad of a bowler. Always tries to give everyone fun themed nicknames on the scoring computer/score cards. Usually goes first.

Mini golf:

- Zayne is the only who knows how to score the game. He's is really good at actual golf, but not so great at mini golf.

- Xavier is somehow the best at the game, but has no clue what he is doing. He just has a really good finesse with knowing exactly how to hit the ball and the perfect strength level.

- Rafael will ALWAYS get his ball stuck in the dumbest place. He has to restart the hole a minimum of 3 times due to his ball going off the course.

- Sylus plays a decent game, but the windmill is his enemy. His greatest foe. He has started only going to mini golf places that don't have a windmill hole.

Escape room:

- Zayne bbg this is YOUR chance to shine! He would hold the record for fastest time if it weren't for the rest of the boys getting in the way

- Rafael will somehow break something even with the lightest touch. The poor employees have to fix the puzzles in the middle of the session.

- Sylus will jokingly give a suggestion that always ends up being the correct solution.

- Xavier is so lost and always 6 steps behind. He will be trying to solve a puzzle that was already solved 5 minutes ago.

MJ HAS A CRUSH ON YOU

She started having butterflies in her stomach for you at such an inconvenient time—before getting married (for a second time) with Peter B. You were there beside her, helping her breathe in and out when she doubted Peter B would even be at the end of the aisle.

She could've sworn that your eyes sparkled in that blue dress you wore as her maid of honor. She almost made the stupid move of kissing you as you were comforting her, but that must've been the wedding jitters, right? Right? (She realized she was wrong when she returned from her honeymoon and palpitated when she saw you in a dazzling outfit).

PETER B THINKS YOU'RE COOL

Not as cool as his wife (obviously), but he absolutely enjoys your company. When you visit his and MJ's house to babysit Mayday or to have a chat with his wife (or him, though not as often), your good vibes spread throughout the house. Peter considers you a reliable confidant.

When him and MJ were running out of ideas on how to feed Mayday vegetables, you came up with a solution to hide them under a heap of rice. When Peter was having trouble thinking of what to give MJ after an argument, you suggested he just apologized clearly and authentically, and everything would work out. Peter starts getting suspicious of you, though, and why you know so much about his wife.

How did you four decide you wanted to be in a relationship with each other?

Honestly, you have Peter to thank for that. He realized that his wife's feelings for you were getting stronger by the day and that your feelings for her were getting harder to ignore every double date night. He didn't think it was bad—on the contrary, he just wanted you two to confess, so you could talk negotiations.

At one point, Peter just asked outright, "Do you guys have a thing for each other?" And you two laughed like crazy while him and Miguel were like ??😫??

The answer was yes.

For Miguel and you, it didn't affect your relationship in its entirety. But he was a bit pouty. "Am I not enough for you? Is there something I'm lacking?" was his mantra at the start of it, but you had to reassure him that this wasn't true. You're always open and transparent with him, which made him trust your judgement. Also, you give him more kisses to stop him from sulking a lot 🫶

For Miguel and Peter, it made them a bit awkward at first, before Miguel realized that no other spider-person checks up on him or dotes on him as much as Peter B does. Peter B always left small offerings for Miguel when he worked late at night in the 2099 lab. "I brought you a blanket me and Mayday crocheted. Don't forget to rest, big guy! Sleep on the floor if you have to. Better than not sleeping at all." Miguel keeps all the notes Peter leaves him.

For MJ and Peter, it was more of a 'how-to-explain-this-to-Mayday-thing,' Especially, if Mayday was at that stage where she would be able to tell what kissing, what romance, and the like could look like. Neither of them were that worried though. "I mean, honey, Mayday sees a lot of insane stuff in Spider Society all the time~!!" Peter B would argue.

For MJ and Miguel, it brought them a bit closer, considering they had more in common now. MJ hoped that it wouldn't be so weird for Miguel, but every now and then, she says something like this: "So, your wife tastes good— I mean, your wife's cooking tastes good! Her pork carnitas are amazing. Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry." "Be honest, that's not what you meant."

For you and Peter, it definitely opened up more bonding opportunities. Despite you four dating, you and him always think of each other as besties; which is why you both peer pressure your two lovely, more reserved spouses to stuff like kayaking, boat rides, halloween trick-or-treating. "Hey, do you think MJ and Miguel would be cool with going to an adult playground for brunch?" "IDK, Will there be brunch?"

For you and MJ, it was basically extending your already-intimate friendship to even more intimacies. She cuddles!! A lot!! And you kiss her on the forehead, just as many times as she needs it!! Your relationship with her was an understanding one; she always initiates touch with you. "Baby, stay here for longer, please." "MJ, you're so cute, but Peter's like... right there"

San: Quite a few, as you can see! And it comes out a little bit differently for all of us. For example, one of the big things for me is that I don't really lie, and I trust very easily. It just doesn't really pop up in my mind as a possibility, nor does the thought that other people might be lying. This is not to say I always tell people 100% of the truth - that would kind of be problematic being an idol. But I pride myself on being as honest and authentic as I can. And I strongly prefer when others are as well.

Yeosang: I have that same thing too, with lying and being... Sort of gullible. I'm aware of it though, and I try to remember that people might be lying to me. Though... I never think about it with the members at all. And because of this, I've gotten pranked quite a bit. Sannie has as well. But we've talked about it as a group, and we both said it was not upsetting or anything like that. We trust the members to not actually want to make fools out of us. And that they do those things in a good natured way. I feel safe with them. They aren't making fun of me because they think it's dumb that I'm easy to trick, they prank me because they want to make me laugh.

I have other symptoms as well. I have kind of a hard time communicating, and knowing when to communicate. Just like, when is something I'm thinking about important enough to tell someone? That kind of thing. And then if I decide it is important enough, how do I say it? Kinda wish I could beam my feelings and thoughts into the members' brains so they'd know without having to tell them.

This does have an impact on both our polycule as a whole, but also in scenes. It's kind of really really essensial that I let people know immediately if something is upsetting me, but I found out pretty fast that I have a hard saying that. So we've found workarounds where I don't have to say anything at all. I just tap people a couple of times until they notice. And then they'll know I have a problem I need addressed, but don't know how to bring it up. If my hands are tied up, I get a little bell I can throw on the floor.

San: And this has worked really well for you, right?

Yeosang: It has, it was a very good idea. And it's such a simple solution.

Jongho: Simple but effective. I could feel the relief on you after we set up the system this way.

Me, I have a bit of a thing with certain textures. It mostly comes out when it comes to certain types of fabrics, and sometimes with things that are wet or sticky. Apologies for being gross, but I think if I accidentally touched someone's cooling cum on a sheet, I'd die instantly. Yeo and Hwa, you have things like this too, yeah?

Yeosang: I do. Certain types of bedsheets and top mattresses are not very breathable. If I get all sweaty on something like that, suddenly, it's just too much and I feel so unbelievably gross. Like, it needs to stop immediately, and I can not think of anything else until I'm away from that. We've figured out what these types of sheets and mattresses are so we can avoid them at home, but it sometimes comes up when we travel. Generally, the more plastic'y and dense something is, the less I like it. Memory foam is my worst nightmare.

I also have a hard time with some types of food. The biggest one is potatoes. A big, steaming potato... There's no way I'm trying that. It's so dense and starchy, and I want to spit it out immediately. Sometimes bread can feel sticky too, and I can't deal with that at all. Makes me feel like I'm gonna choke not in a fun way.

Seonghwa: [Snorts out a laugh at the innuendo] I have texture aversions too, though nothing to do with food. I'm an equal opportunity food enjoyer. My thing is more with sweat, especially as it cools. If we've had a bit of a rough session, I need to get up pretty fast and change the sheets, shower, and get into fresh clothes. My partner needs to do the same, if they want to keep cuddling. I'm happy to help them, of course! That's often part of the aftercare. But yeah, I can only make myself stay in a post coital cuddle pile for like a minute tops, then I'm moving. Sweat feels gross and itchy on my skin immediately, sometimes during the session too, but it gets worse fast as soon as we stop. Most of the time, I opt to be naked or almost naked for scenes and sex, since it makes it easy to get away from wet fabric in a hurry.

This has been a bit of an obstacle for performances as well, because I sweat a lot and very easily. The stylist team are very good at looking for things that won't feel terrible for me when wet. But unfortunately, sometimes I have to compromise.

Jongho: Another trait I think is my autism, is that I can get... I guess kind of bored of a scene, if it doesn't feel right. Doesn't happen often, because I'm good at keeping it within the "feeling right" perimeter. In essence, I need to feel emotionally connected to my partner or partners. We need to be connecting; to have a link and to be communicating. I need to be able to tell that I'm doing something they enjoy, if I'm the one in control. If I can't feel that connection, like if they aren't responsive or if I can't tell that they're enjoying themselves... It's over. Kinky and sexual intimacy are very vulnerable, and if I can tell the other person isn't into it the same way I am, I'm going to end the session. There's just no working with that, for me.

With the members, this almost never happens. I know how to read them, and I know how to re-establish a connection if I feel it slipping away. And they know it's important to me, so they do what they can to not even get to that point. If it happens, it's probably because my partner was too tired to scene and didn't really realize before we started. And it's okay, it happens, I just lose interest and can't keep going.

This is a bit of a topic change, but I think autistic kinksters might actually have a bit of an advantage when it comes to communication. There are a lot of negociations and clear, defined rules when discussing kink - and saying things clearly without censoring them can be an autistic trait. It's the same with, for example, listing temporary rules during a scene. Unless ambiguity is part of the game, you want those to be clear and literal. And often times, autistic people speak more literally, and find it easier to understand literal things too.

All four of us have this trait, to different extends. As Yeosang said, he can have a little bit of trouble communicating, but I think that when he does communicate, he says the things he wants to say very clearly.

Seonghwa: Mmh, I agree, and it's wonderful. It's important to know what's ruminating in that pretty head.

Jongho: Very important, we want our Sangie to be happy.

A lot of my autism comes out in the shape of special interests. I've had a lot over the years; lego obviously, different books and movies, video games, fashion, skin and hair care products... And of course, I love to tell all my boyfriends about these things, when they have the time to listen.

In the past, I've sometimes had a hard time noticing if someone was getting bored or even annoyed with me. It can be hard to stop once I start talking, because I keep remembering more and more cool little things I want to share. The excitement for the interest kind of takes over.

I've asked the members to just tell me when they're too tired to listen. We're often very busy, and sometimes you just don't have the energy to listen to a bunch of stuff about Animal Crossing, even if you do want to hear it. And I understand that! I just need people to tell me if they'd rather save the talk for another time. Because sometimes I can't tell, or I forget to look for the signs. And... It hurts when someone keeps not telling me to stop, and then get annoyed with me. I'm not sharing those things to annoy anyone. It's the opposite; I share the things I care about with people I care about.

the overwhelming majority of hides used for making leather are by-products of the meat industry; on a logical level, nobody is going to pay to feed and care for an animal until it's large enough to produce a worthwhile hide, only to throw away perfectly good meat that could've been sold as well.

Faux leather is made of a fabric backing coated in either poly vinyl chloride (PVC) or polyurethane (PU), both plastics. Piñatex (pineapple leather) is made with a petroleum resin coating, which is plastic. A lengthy ass-post about poly-shipping no one asked for

So I'm gonna go ahead and choose passive aggressive violence, in the form of an informative, lengthy as fuck post I think some folks need to read.

I won't be adding the post here, as I don't wish to direct potential harassment to the original poster (no matter how heinous I found a majority of the list), but if you're on twitter/"X", I'm sure you've seen a lengthy notepad list of RP "hot takes".

While I agreed with some of the points made, I feel it necessary to clarify some things, particularly about the points regarding polyamorous shipping.

If you don't want to read the blurb between here and the actual point list, just scroll down until you see green font.

Most know that I myself play a polyamorous character; I ship my character with other characters belonging to different players. I've been poly-ship for YEARS, so I feel I have some experience and can say some things about it.

Some points made in the "hot takes" list alluded to people using polyamorous shipping/multi-shipping as an excuse to just ERP and mess around with multiple people without consequence.

Sadly, yes, this does happen. It's unfortunate that selfish people only looking for specific things use it as an excuse for their behavior, but the only thing people can do is be aware of what to look out for when it comes to polyamorous shipping.

So rather than allow a negative light be painted on a valid means of shipping and roleplaying your characters in relationships, I think a quick lesson is needed.

Disclaimer: these are just my personal opinion on how I feel polyships should be handled, and some red flags I have seen during my time being a polyamorous OC player. By no means is this a rulebook, more like a guide so new and veteran roleplayers alike can be aware.

What a responsible poly-shipper will do:

Introduce you to their other partners - Communication is key in any relationship, this is not just for monogomous ships, but even moreso for polyamorous. A poly OC player will be open to introducing you to their other partners; while no one expects you to be best friends, it's good to be aware of just who else you'll possibly be regularly seeing around.

Share time and effort among your partners equally - A polycule relationship should be even across the board; one partner should not be treated better than the other. Treating one or more partners better than the other(s) is just a recipe for people getting hurt, both IC and OOC.

Be open and up front at the very beginning of IC interactions - A poly OC player will be up front and honest about the nature of their character if they have an interest in possibly shipping with you, or in case the possibility of it happening is there.

Encourage communication and prioritize problem-solving - This isn't just for poly ships, but ships in general. A good writing partner will encourage and WANT you to tell them about how you feel with the ship, especially if it's a problem with an easy solution.

Always make it known if they wish to bring another partner into the polycule & pose an introduction OOC - This is the most important part of being in a poly ship, making sure EVERYONE knows if there is someone new who will be joining the ship, and making introductions before a ship is made.

What a responsible poly ship player wouldn't/shouldn't do:

Hide the status of their ships - If your partner is hiding who they are shipping with from you, in my experience, this just means a person is going behind their partner's back (and is possibly cheating on them).

Brush off any possible issues you may be having with one of the partners in the ship - A responsible partner would aim to mediate the situation, and listen to all sides.

Discourage their poly partners from seeking other partners - Not every poly OC is monogomous with their poly partner, sometimes one poly OC will be shipped with another poly OC. Your partner would not expect you to drop your other ships to be with them while they continue their own, they should respect your decision to ship with your other partners.

Keep attempts to ship with other characters a secret - A responsible poly partner will make it known when they are attempting to or want to ship their OC with another as soon as intentions and wants are known. Not after a ship is already established.

Discourage those in the polycule ship from associating with each other - A partner in a healthy polycule would never discourage their partners from associating with each other; intentional separation more than likely is a means of hiding something, such as blatant favoritism, or even to keep ships a secret (in my experience).

Anyways I'll get off my soap box. I apologize for the lengthy post, but some things I've been seeing regarding this hot takes list were so blatantly heinous, I just felt like something should be said.
