I JUST now understand it all… I always wondered why I went from one toxic man to the next and there is MANY life coaches and therapist on tiktok who insist you date toxic people based on how your parents treated you… WHILE I understand that and somewhat agree, let me take it a little deeper and wider.

so I did grow up with parents that were positive Christian people who worked in our church and they “served others”. My parents were always putting on the church dinners, setting them up and cleaning them up. Always being nice to people. I never seen my mom or dad get mean or rude to other people. (Doesn’t mean they never did it just because I never saw it as a kid.) I also helped with the set up and clean up all my life!!!

I’ve grown up in a very empathetic and loving home… My older brother was almost 10 years older than me so he was more like a dad than a brother and he was extremely loving and affectionate towards me. Hugging me up and protecting me. My brother was more protective of me than my parents were! That’s mostly what I knew in my home; love and closeness but also my dad could be critical at times of me (not in a judgmental way) just in a way he always wanted me to do better and be better but sometimes I felt like I just couldn’t meet his expectations…. 😓 He was trying to give me “tough love” plus he’s a very opinionated person!!

In school, they labeled me with a “learning disability” and a lot of teachers made me feel weak and less than other children. This is the first time EVER I’m understanding that, just because I think I have all this love to give not everybody has that same amount of love or can give it back and you can’t force people to treat you the way that you treat them. Quite interesting from the moment I got to work. So today I’m working at a different location. And that means new ppl. I also worked at this location last Monday. I met most of the same people.
