I'm glad we are starting to talk about transmasc issues. I feel like we have some instinct to diminish our issues because "we don't have it as bad" or "we need to man up", or "we can't be to whiny".

To some extent I can't blame people that they think we face little to no opression if our perspective is appreciated only if it's there to support someone else. Even trans men themselves eat that up. And I'm guilty of being one of them. I would lie that I was being treaten better than before transition, which wasn't really the case. I just FELT better and more confident without dysphoria but I said something else to highlight misogyny, not realizing I could have harmed other trans men and reinforce this sentiment. Because I thought it's how a trans man should be like. With no sense of self worth and only there help other queer people, to help women, and accept when those groups are horrible towards him because he's just some disgusting creature.

I'm glad we are changing that.

its heartbreaking that so many transmasculine people feel like they have to diminish themselves in order to be accepted. i think its important that we have a space to express ourselves, to talk about the things weve experienced as transmasculine people - and i feel like this space is often denied to us under the guise of it being “gender affirming” (ie, the idea that masculine people cannot express their emotions or upset without it being dangerous, unmanly, etc) like you said. thats partially why i created this blog, actually! i wanted a place for our community to meet, to unify, and to work together to address issues, find common ground, etc.

POSITIVITY ;

if ur someone with a negative mindset in general and you wanna change it to a more positive mindset here are some ground rules..

let the little things slide - don't worry about the little things, dont stress over something that isn't worth stressing over. that includes letting the little things that you have done slide too. dont beat yourself up about something that you've done before. thinking "ugh why'd i do that" is useless. instead, flip that thought to "what can i do to improve if i find myself in that situation again".

surround urself with things that spark positivity - surround urself with things that u love and the things that make you smile. and enjoy the little things/tasks that u do. ROMANTICIZE.

giving out some -> reaping double - when u give out positivity. encouraging words, compliments, even a simple smile, you get that DOUBLED. it actually helps so much to be sweet to others and compliment others and its even sweeter for you bcuz it brings so much happiness.

TAKING YOUR POWER BACK ;

dont give anyone or anything the power to make you unhappy. ofc there are circumstances that are unique to everyone but in general dont let someone else's bitterness or negativity influence ur own happiness. protect your energy. bcuz you are responsible for making u happy.

REFLECT ;

have self identity audits every now and then to keep yourself in check. to make sure that ur following thru with ur goals or that ur balancing ur distractions properly. and also, reflect on whats constantly draining ur joy or what u are doing to drain ur joy. some things that can drain you include..

social media detox - although social media has lots of positives, we cannot ignore the negatives. social media provides a false sense of connection that we crave (cuz human beings are social creatures) so taking a break from social media every now and then a couple times a year rly improves ur mental health in the long run.

some things that can feed into ur joy can include..

gratitude - practicing gratitude without comparing your own achievements to someone else's. just being present and grateful for what u have.

laughter - learn to laugh and smile at things instead of getting worked up about it. laughing is such a mood booster.

literally ANYTHING, you know urself best and u know what makes you happy and what makes u smile so whatever it is that does that for you, DO that.

DO THINGS THAT ARE REFRESHING ;

doing things that are refreshing and replenish ur energy is a game changer for ur mental and emotional state and happiness. some refreshing things to do alone include..

watching the sunset/sunrise

meditation

journalling

practice self care

do something that u used to love doing

dance (it helps mentally too, taking u from rigid -> fluid)

DISTRACTIONS ;

when your constantly striving for perfection and you put all this pressure on urself, you'll end up growing into a bitter person, and thats not hot. so allow yourself to have distractions and have experiences and try new things bcuz thats what life is about.

however go about this with DISCERNMENT. allow yourself to have distractions that aren't harmful to you or others. an example of an unhealthy or harmful distraction is drinking. you can enjoy those things but enjoy them SAFELY. dont be too uptight with yourself and LET YOURSELF LIVE. but in that same breath protect yourself and get rid of whats taking away from ur happiness.

heres my designs for all the important gods (I FORGOT HEPHAESTUS SORRY) in epic

thoughts/explanations behind the designs + sketches under the cut

general notes: my biggest headcanon for the gods designs is that they can be just about anything because they (within some limits) choose how they appear. so a god can look like just about anything, but its almost always mostly human. the only real rules to that i think are that 1) their design should usually try to incorporate their main symbols/domain in some way (in some way allows for a lot of range though, so athena for example is very much a bird creature since shes very associated with owls, but aphrodite has just some roses and shells in her hair, and 2) things like scars and such cant be hidden. this rule mostly only matters for athena. i realize i incorporated gold into almost all of their designs but that wasnt intentional lol. anyways let meee talk about the specific gods now. also for fun, no god has normal eyes. theyre either shadowed out entirely, weird shapes, or have no pupils. or all three! i think weird eyes is what distinguishes a god in my designs. i havent done this in my circe or calypso designs but since theyre not quite gods but adjacent i might give them similarly weird eye shapes but also pupils. idk we'll see!

aeolus: so my aeolus design is originally from a sketch i did in class. i was trying to draw telemachus with long hair based on a friends fic and then i was like "oh this looks like how i imagine aeolus would" and the next thing i drew is pretty much Just this final design. i drew aeolus very loosely, he has a clear shape but he should never be fully defined if that makes sense? so when coloring it i decided fuck it he looks like a weird mass of clouds now. its fun! i might change that but idk. also its subtly trans colors because i believe in transmasc aeolus supremacy. i imagine him moving around very freely and seeming to appear and disappear out of nowhere

apollo: so i think apollo is actually the oldest design here? which is to say that i drew apollo ONCE in my sketchbook at the start of my epic hyperfixation and got really into this specific design. i sort of wanted to color him similarly to uh, if you know ginjaninja their design for their oc kynthia? but i ended up going with more just white and gold to keep it simple. i LOVE tiny color palettes lol. the original outfit i believeee was inspired by gigi's hermes actually? but i havent looked at that design in a while so its probably changed. he has a halo that originally looked more like the sun but ive simplified it a bit. why? its cool. also i mightve stolen that from somebody else but i literally CANNOT remember. anyways one fact about this design is that the first time i drew it i labelled it WHORE. you can see i did that in the sketch here too. in his honor.

hermes: little freak guy!! theres honestly not THAT much to say here about hermes. i drew him with a little messenger bag once and i cant NOT draw him with it now i think its cute. i draw odysseus, ctimene, and telemachus all with a gaptooth, and i've never drawn anticlea but i've had the conscious thought that id give it to her too, so fuck it! hermes gets it. it comes from him. the family gaptooth is from him i hope youre happy hermes erfgfrefgfr. color scheme wise i wanted to keep it mostly simple again, i always pictured hermes with silver/white hair for some reason idk why but thats here! and he has rainbow. because is it even hermes without rainbow. i might darken this palette a bit but i am pretty happy with him.

athena: so my athena design ive drawn a ton and shes changed a lot over time. i didnt originally want her to look tooooo birdlike? and then i committed to owlthena because its just FUN man. anyways her silhouette is meant to look very closed off, her "cloak" covers most of her body, just generally shes supposed to seem sort of unapproachable. (note: hes not here but i do this with odysseus too! both because i wanted a similar kind of closed off look for him, and that i wanted him and athena to have visual parallels). her cloak is actually just her wings though! i doodled them unfolded so you can see her without them, as well as without her helmet. her helmet covers one of her eyes with a shadow (again to make her look like shes sort of hiding something), which was a design choice i made BEFORE we found out she lost an eye to zeus, so! coincidentally its good for hiding that scar :]. i doodled her with long black hair ONE WHOLE TIME and its stuck in my mind since so i have to keep that design element forever now. sorry official brunette athena youre not real to me. her color scheme was a STRUGGLE for me though. i knew i wanted to fit blue in there somewhere, but i wasnt really sure how? i eventually caved and made her mostly black and silver with a bit of blue in there. the blue and black gives more magpie energy to her than owl, but i dont know, i like it. i might mess with it more, but yeah! athena! shes really fun to draw lol. i imagine shed be animated in a very constrained sort of way most of the time like her design sort of implies. she doesnt really make big gestures or unnecessary movements she would be sort of uncanny in how still she is most of the time i think.

aries: ive had an aries design for a while so i was basically just finalizing it here. he was supposed to look both very similar to athena and very opposite of her. so they have nearly identical outfits, they both have a helmet shadowing their eyes (but it shadows both of aries' here), theyve both got a lot of animal features (although aries is less visible here, he's a bit dog inspired. you can see his tail eheh), etc. the main difference is that aries is meant to look a lot less, for lack of a better word restrained? his scarf (because its really more of a scarf than a cloak like athena has) only covers part of his face and absolutely none of his body, so it think it gives him a look more like hes ready to fight at any second than athena. i also wanted him to look very scarred/like his armor is scratched up. he and athena are both war gods, but aries is much more likely to throw himself into things and get hurt, while athena plans things in such a way where shes almost never actually hit. brute force vs strategy and whatnot. i sort of wish id made his scars golden too, to look a bit more like athena though. originally the black was red, but it looked really bad, which SUCKS because i wanted the red to contrast with athenas blue. but he just has red eyes here.

aphrodite: very little thought behind this one because my first sketch of her was like two days ago and very inspired by gigis. i sort of wanted her to look doll-like and have a cupids bow lip, but otherwise i got NOTHING girl. shes got pearls and shells in her hair to allude to her connection with the sea though. also roses because i wanted to put in one more symbol and that was a nice way to get a bit more red in there.

hera: im the least happy with this design, almost entirely because of the coloring. i sketched it being more purple, but then i realized that 1) peacocks are a lot more green and 2) IM STEALING FROM JUNE AGAIN!!! THATS HOW JUNE DREW THEIR OC IN A MIRACULOUS AU GODDAMNIT. so the colors are traditional peacock and im NOT happy with them at all. the design is also still basically stolen from june once again i am SO sorry their work is just so integrated into my mind that its a part of me now i do it without thinking. very little notes here otherwise unfortunately,,,,

zeus: weirdly enough i think this is my favorite design? which is WILD because i basically thought of it on the spot like two or three days ago for a shitpost based on a silly manwhore au-adjacent fic i read. the design over all is inspired by neal's? but honestly i think ive done my own thing with it a bit. i didnt really want to do clouds in his hair because id associated that with aeolus in my head, but then i thought of it fading into a dark grey like stormclouds, and having his scarf like lightning? and then he appeared fully formed in front of me. bro is BARELY dressed dude put a shirt on. also his eyebrows are cloud shaped like ursaluna. i fucking hate this dude but im happy with this design

poseidon: OKAY SO POSEIDON IS THE MOST OUT THERE DESIGN HERE I THINK. hes definitely the most inhuman looking one despite us having literally a bird right there, but that was somewhat intentional? and also somewhat because i had a very clear vision of him and needed to make it real exactly as i first thought sorry. anyways, for some characterization, i think with my idea of the gods choosing their appearances and poseidon being a lot more monstrous, you could say he CHOOSES to look unnerving. side note, this is very personal to me but i really like the idea of athena looking more like poseidon than any of her other family. i dont know WHY i just got really attached to that idea. so they have the same hair and somewhat similar faces i think. the resemblance isnt major but it is THERE for sure.

Sorry for the late response but u have no idea what a bitch it was to find and pull all of this crap together!!

I don't actually too often draw my Ocs, I actually write about them more and sneak them into fanfics that'll never see the light of day. But I have a few diagrams I made so I could picture them in my head when writing them! They're normally not rlly completed (that's why the drawings of Chinatsu and Kikuko were so lackluster,,, and there was no way I was gonna show Yuko that girl looked like she was mauled by a raccoon) and all my Ocs revolve in some way around Sasuke bc the brainrot is strong with this one.

My main Ocs are all meant to be mentors to Sasuke. I made them all canon compliant, so they all die in the og story but in the plot of the main fic I'm plotting like only the elders and police force were murdered (everyone say thank you Sakura!) So Sasuke still has the opportunity to learn about his clan and their techniques. This is also a thinly veiled excuse to create lore for the Uchiha (for Sasuke)

Once again excuse the lackluster art I swear im better than this!!

This is Kotone!! (IK IT SAYS NATSU IN THE LEFT ONE BUT ILL GET BACK TO THAT IN A MOMENTTT) She's my victim I use to practice pixel art! She's seen the absolute worst sides of me (My Danagonranpa and Mha phase...) omg her design has changed SO MUCH over the years its not even funny. Her name used to be Asuna, then it was Suna, then it was Yuri and then we arive to now. It may as well just be four different characters cause the designs aren't remotely related but eh.

Shes the receptionist at the Uchiha police force and she got her skull absolutely crashed in!!! Horrible concussion- actually ruined her. She cannot handle more than two people talking or she'll disassociate, which was actually an issue she had before but the trauma of watching her friends die and then getting trapped under rubble for 6 days straight with no food,,, uh it fucked with her a little ill be real w/ u.

Despite being a bit ditsy now shes actually very intelligent. She teaches Sasuke how to Integrate Genjutsu training into everyday life (the little Genjutsu creatures she made are what kept her entertained and remotely sane under the rubble) she always casts these little spirals around her, it annoys most people in the clan but Sasuke thinks its fun (and Kotone loves him for it) they also help her manipulate people since they're very very vaguely hypnotic.

She also plays the Flute. But she's not the one who teaches Sasuke about that!!!!

ABOUT THE NATSU THING!!!

THATS ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY HER PREVIOUS INCARNATION, AND MADARAS OLDER SISTER (OK ik that in canon Madara and Izuna only have brothers but leaves me alone i don't care!!! I swear this is like the only thing I changed from canon.)

SO THE REASON THE OUTFITS LOOK DIFFERENT IN THE TWO ARTS IS BC. THEYRE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Anyways Natsu died saving Izuna from getting kidnapped. Thats how he got his sharingan 👍 (I SWEAR ILL TALK ABOUT THE REINCARNATION IN A MOMENTTT)

The ginger one was her first version, Asuna. And the one with buns is Suna, she came with me thru my danagonranpa phase. Which tbh wasn't actually a phase i just moved her over to danagonranpa to be friends with my friends oc. Shes was the ultimate florist. Her eyes are actually green but she thought green was an ugly colour and injected her eyes with ink. And somehow. She's not blind?

Also!!! Kotones eyes are still green. Her father is only half Uchiha and she got her green eyes from her grandmother. But she's embarrassed about it so she hides it behind her hair.

AND THEN THERES RIHITO!!! She's a much more recent Oc!

Shes the head priest, her main place of worship is Susano's shrine, but she also actively prays at Tsukoyomi's and The nine-tails shrine (just to make sure when he inevitably breaks out of the 5-year-old he'll have just a little mercy on them!)

Alsoo it says she communes with the dead in her chart there, not dead humans, dead Uchiha (thanks to her) are reincarnated into different body's, so she wouldnt really be able to meet them. And if she did then she'd perform a ritual on the spirit to allow it to pass on to a new body. She just likes to hang with the dead rats and birds sometimes.

She teaches Sasuke about the clans culture and God's, she also gets him interested in blacksmithing and poisons. Exclusively because her knife is very pretty and also very dangerous.

THAT REMINDS ME!!! Not pictured but the shirt-dress she's wearing has built in gloves. Not a germaphobe but in her line of work touching anything with her skin is usually very very disrespectful or very very unsafe.

Shes also got dogteeth and plays the harp expertly. These facts don't affect the story whatsoever.

Theres a third character, Isuzu, she teaches Sasuke how to play the Ocarina. But uhh... she hasnt got a design yet. She has black hair. Uh. She mainly plays the flute. She doesn't have legs. Or well, she has one thigh. Sne lost one and a half legs in the massacre. It was her fault, really. She was trying to protect her sickly and dying father from being murdered. Pftt what a loser! I know she has that typical high collar Uchiha shirt. But uh I don't know about the rest of her outfit. But I think it would be cool if she had earrings that were vials with poison in them.

Yeah, I dont know much about her yet. I haven't gotten to writing that part of the story yet... if anyone wants to help with her design I welcome you.

AND NOW WE MOVE ONTO KIKUKO!!!! Our perfect little lady. She's a nurse and is decently main to the plot,,,

Anyway she teaches Sasuke that actually healing people is very cool and actually epic. Which Sakura backs up, but based on past experiences Sakura is not. Trustworthy. So he needs family to confirm what she says.

There's not actually too much to Kikuko bc her whole character isn't centered around her clans culture, and she actually fights against Fugaku in favour of Konoha (She only does that bc she's co-dependant w her gf and doesnt want to leave her but shhhh)

Uh she's actually pretty far removed from her clans culture (Thanks a lot for that Chinatsu,,,) but she's still very religious. Her main God she prays to is Amaterasu.

Your breath catches as his lips slowly trace up your neck, his breath ticking you as he takes his time admiring the softness of your skin. His hair slowly cascading around you, fallen from the bun in his hair caused by your hands when you finally pulled him into your bedroom.

You lay there in his arms with your mind going a million different directions at once wondering if it’ll hurt, will it not? What will it feel like to have him drink from you? What if he looses his control? There’s a moment of panic that deeps into your chest as his mouth finally makes contact with the curve of your neck with an open mouthed kiss, and you feel yourself tighten in his grasp instinctively.

“Relax Käraste, we can wait till you’re ready” he chuckles leaning back to read your face. He looks serene in the dim lighting, the scarf over the lampshade tinting the room into a dark mauve makes his already intense stare even more alluring. It always tugged on the back of your mind why you never found him as terrifying as he should be, a lethal creature with the will and power to kill you if he wanted…maybe it was the gentleness he had when he caressed your face when you pretended to sleep during his visits. Or the small gifts he always left behind as a token of his devotion for you, even if you didn’t understand why.

You didn’t realize you had been staring a while lost in the train of your thoughts until he shifts further back, assuming you were ready to tell him to leave for going too far. Reaching out to grasp his face gently you hold his gaze, and let your thumb graze along the edge of his jaw. You feel the weight of his head shift as he leans into the curve of your palm to playfully nip at your thumb causing you to giggle softly.

“There’s your smile, mitt hjärta” he makes no attempt to move any further away or closer to you, waiting for you to tell him what you need.

“I’m still a little nervous…I guess” you mumbled out, your eyes trailing over his face to meet his dark eyes. His soft smile tugs at the corner of his lips.

“I understand, if you’ve changed your mind you can tell me. I would never want you to feel as if you have no choice, Käraste.” His right grasping your waist tightens as if to be reassuring. “To have a piece of you now, just as you are is better than to not have you at all….It will hurt at first if you let me, I cannot lie to you. But I will keep you safe, and I will not break that promise.” His gaze heavy, showing complete honesty and tenderness before leaning down to softly peck at your cheek and forehead.

He stills for a moment resting his forehead upon yours, inhaling deeply before softly asking “May I kiss you?”, all you can manage is a small nod before he brushes his lips across yours the small action alone making you sigh out against him. When his lips finally catch your own he steadies himself, deepening the kiss while keeping the pace slow allowing you to melt back into his embrace once more. Before long you feel as if you’re on air, his body shifted once again to be slotted against you as you writhe against him when he presses his hips against yours. Your hands buried in his hair, every movement he makes against you feels electric as you both moan into the kiss. Slowly lost in your own body giving into his, you hardly register the sound of your own voice pleading out please as his mouth begins to trail across your jaw again. When you feel him tense in an attempt to regain his composure unsure if he should, you give his dark locks a tug to continue and twist you head to bare yourself for him.

When he continues to pause with hesitancy, you recite your pleads again. “Please….I trust you…just please Joakim” you can’t see his face, but you feel his entire body shudder above you and his breath hitch for a moment before his voice is able to return to him. “I promise to distract you from the pain, if it’s too much I need you to tell me…..can you promise me?” With his own resolve cracking along side your own, all you can manage is a soft nod and another small please.

Within seconds there’s a shift in the air, his presence becoming more intoxicating as he drags his open mouth across your neck once again. The hotness of his breath and soft moans trickles across your neck and ear adding to your own pleasure. His hips grind deeper into yours as your own body wraps around him, legs over his waist in an attempt to keep him close, hand gripping his hair while the other is wrapped around his shirt to anchor yourself. With his movements deepening against you, trying to pull as much pleasure from you before he settles into your neck, his one arm shifts to cradle you into his own chest, hand slipping into your hair to hold you in both a comfort and in place.

Finally between a mix of open mouth kisses and harsher pecks, you finally begin to feel the subtle pinches of teeth meeting flesh which ignites a new flurry of higher pitched moans from you until you feel a much sharper sting, and the wetness of his tongue cascading along you. Upon finally tasting just a hint of your blood, his demeanour shifts and a slur of loud groans fall from his own mouth as he continues to make small pricks against your skin. His neediness builds, adding into your own desperation until he tightens his grip around your head and finally sinks his teeth into place.

You had been expecting a large shock of pain to occur when he would finally bit into you when it was discussed earlier. Yet in this moment, if there was pain beyond a pinch you hadn’t noticed. Too lost in the sensation of his body enwrapped around you, dragging himself across your core moaning blissfully against your neck. The whole ordeal was leaving you breathless in a way you had never experienced, with the added sensation of him feeding off of you, you finally started to feel a peak building inside of you. Desperately chasing your release you let go, writhing and moaning with as much need as he was. You didn’t care if anyone heard you, all you wanted was to fall apart against him and give him everything.

Sensing your shift, Joakim finally lifted himself from your neck looking blissed like a god in his own form to stare down at you. The small smear of blood across his open panting mouth, his was stare burning into yours animalistic like.

You couldn’t help yourself from dragging him into a heated kiss, roughly slotting your lips together and grabbing on to anything you could. His hips were beginning grind sporadically losing any semblance of rhythm against you as his moans were turning into whines matching your own. It only took minutes before you both were grunting and crying out into each other’s mouths, climaxing together in a heated mess.

You both lay there still entangled together, his head coming to rest upon your chest briefly as you hand softly strokes within his hair. The silence is enjoyed among you both, with only the sounds of your breaths steadying, and his enjoyment of hearing your heart begin to settle. When you finally begin to feel the rush of sleep crash into you, is when Joakim finally lifts himself from you and assists you in cleaning you both up, taking extra care to be sensitive with your neck as he placed kisses on each marking he left behind and mumbling his praises against you, before changing you into new clothes for bed. When you finally crash into the bed, he drags you into his embrace and begins to hum quietly while running his hands slowly over you to lull you to sleep. When your eyes finally close you hear him whisper “Jag älskar dig” before sleep takes you over.

the important thing about me is if theres a thing like Magic or Agora Nomic, a set of rules that purport to Do Things by virtue of existing. in particular the phrasing "the rules cause" or "then, y happens" and ESPECIALLY when these sorts if gamestate-machines treat a player as part of the operation they control. (in magic if you float mana after casting a spell, you announce how much is floating. not "you MUST announce how much is floating" it's written as a thing that the action causes to happen. the way a creature can enter the graveyard, the rules of magic can also compel you to open your mouth and make sounds.)

like. The magic ruleset has 400.12 which says basically. if you shuffle your hand into your library, this means shuffle all cards in hand into your library. this does not change the existence or properties of the zone" your hand"

and this is a bit of a marbury v madison thing right. obviously you cannot shuffle the abstract concept of "your hand zone" into a deck of physical cards. But by treating it as something even worth clarifying you kinda implicitly make a claim that something could change the fundamental nature of the zones, just not in that way.

This one depends a little bit. Mary does not like showing most people that shes smart and capable. She goofs and messes around, dumbing herself down, because she thinks it’s funny when people underestimate her, as well as useful in some situations.

Sometimes that backfires because people she likes every now and then assume the same thing: that shes just dumb and a brute. And they have to be remided thats not the case.

I assume you’re asking for yiga Leviathan? Regular, canon Leviathan doesn’t have much going on for them besides a few facts that exist for shitpost reasons, actively rotting and sometimes representing me. So I’m picking for you because I can’t offer you much for regular Lev.

I’d say probably their frustration. I’ve talked before about them and how they are when they’re angry or frustrated. It’s ugly and it’s messy and does not align with the chill person they wanna present themselves as.

Astor:

Hmmm… Honestly by the time my Astor starts his villain arc, he really goes all out. I mean, if you can’t change fate, why not be your worst self?

Probably the fact that they’re a snake, a traitor. He can’t keep a single ally for too long, especially when they stop being useful or when they “judge” him for him methods. Hes a fake ass bitch.

If I gotta pick something, I would say her habit of being touchy or sexulizing things. You either get used to it or you don’t because she is not changing herself too soon. That and she literally cannot help herself no matter how much she wants; she has a genuine problem.

She has no filter either and will say weird things of any type.

Yiga!Lev:

Does picking at their skin count? They’re gonna pick any imperfection, even if they bleed. It’s robotic. You’re gonna see it if you randomly look at them concentrating on something.

Astor:

His tangents. He randomly rambles on and on about certain topics. Especially after his God Given Parasite (third eye) starts messing with his mind more and more. His thoughts get less coherent if he doesn’t talk them out, even if it’s to himself.

Mary:

Hell is a constant danger. If you’re like Mary and somehow didn’t end up as a tortured soul and instead a demon, you will come across more demons. And they range from decently terrible to straight up vile. Not to mention angels randomly raiding the place…

Mary does have a set of morals, albeit a twisted ones. She will fight for her friends, sure.

But I’d say what got her in danger most of the time was Ale. Either because he was a hitman mean to kill her (god knows how many people in heaven want Mary dead) or because they got in some sort of trouble togheter.

Yiga!Lev:

Literally Astor. Any mission given by Astor is a death mission to some degree, even if he doesn’t necessarily intend it in Leviathan’s case. Thats what it means being a servant of Ganon.

What did get them in major danger is trying to save Astor at the battle of Hyrule Castle. I did mention they were broken up by then, but seeing the man in his last moments, Lev could not help herself; they may have broken up, sorta, but their feelings were still there. Unfortunately not only did they fail to save him, they too ended up dead…

Astor:

Ok my main AU for Astor is not the one with Lev in, so what got him in danger is the same thing in canon: The promise of the Calamity. The promise of greatness and power that Gan offered him. The thing he sacrificed his whole life chasing.

The thing that almost killed him. At least in this one he doesn’t die and gets a cool prosthetic arm. But nothing will fix the realization that he wasted his life for a traitor bigger than him. Perhaps death would have been more merciful than living with the thought.

Mary:

Shes a shapeshifter/fleshshifter. The creatures she can shift into are few and it’s easier to change into draconic forms rather than other animals. But she can shift her limbs and body to use body horror to her advantage. When it comes to scaring a human, shes gotten so good she can even shift in a way to expose her internal organs.

Yiga!Lev:

Likes sketching Astor when he sleeps or hes too concentrated on something to look.

Canon Lev because I do have something here:

It is actually a resurrected dragon corpse, brought back by a wizard. It was meant to be a familiar or apprentice but said wizard didn’t account for their size. And also Lev just wants to do their own thing.

Astor:

Big fan of experimenting on people. Be it with torture or the effects of malice, he considers it a special type of offering for the calamity.

The Accursed Flame

Physical

Despite having the visage of a monster, she has low charisma and no profficiency in intimidation, making most attempts almost worthless.

Her hair grew out in under four weeks, predominantly due to stress from the other changes her body underwent. The hair also has a subtle glow.

She has two sets of horns because Terrorforger has two sets of horns…she is his 'chosen' afterall, so she would echo some of his features.

She is still getting used to how her ears work. The fans are offputting, a reason she kept them and the hair under the shroud.

The scale pattern is heavily inspired by BG3 dragonborn, which is partially a reason why Fran is flat-chested. How I envisioned it is the front scales kind of act as messed up compression top, so the scales grew over the top, but tight. It was a way that Fran was able to pass as androgynous.

Sky is unarmoured, but the scales give her the armour she needs. (The maths is a little whacky, but thats homebew for you)

The same scales on her chest are on the soles of her feet, giving her the weird perk of not needing to wear shoes...which is convenient considering her toe claws are hideously long.

The only old scar that was not covered by the scales was the one on her bottom lip, how Lars and Swiftkiller were able to identify that she was Sky.

Her right hand has multiple scars from when Raze's barbs pierce her hand. If she over does it (High esoteric / curse rolls), her hand will have a tremble for a while.

When using Giant's Might/Monstrous Form (Same ability, just renamed for flavour), her orange scales will puff out...kind of like a pangolin

Misc

She is resistant to both Fire (Blood Hunter perk) and Cold (Rune Knight Feat)

Being a trained smith, her specialty is in identifying rarer materials. She can forge most things, but not to the same quality her father could due to a combination of incomplete training, and not having gone in a forge in over 8 years (since the tragedy).

She is, however, very good at making weapon blueprints, having made one for Raze and Icebound (belonging to @akrahan).

She is pretty much carnivorous! Her tastes changed as she became more draconic, vegetables tasting sour and bread like cardboard. Has a preference for meats and eggs. Also avoids ales and beer, opting for stronger liquors.

Weapon

Her blood is a biological weapon, becoming the main vector of her abilities and BH curses. To access it, she developed a mechanism within Raze in which when she twists the handle, barbs in the hilt peirce her hand, draining some blood (Esoteric Rite) and leaving the wound open for anything else she needs to do.

The blade stores some of her blood within several chambers, small channels taking it from those chambers to the blade's edge. On a crit, the blood super-heats, causing the blade to essentially 'scream' (and cause 3 creatures in the area to make a dc15 wisdom roll for frighten that ignores resistances and immunities)

The gradual transformation ruined her original travelling clothes. She now wears a mixture of rags, with parts of her ruined cape wrapped around the hilt and tied to her sword.

Campaign Specific

The 'Creature' is 10ft tall, but while standing, it is hunched. Its tail is longer than its body.

The face is made of flame. What lies underneath is currently unknown.

The creature is verbally silent, only being heard by the crackling of flames when still.

The creature acts like an animal, attacking the closest enemy it sees. It doesn't attack those it is allies with...yet

Fran can see what the Creature does, but it cannot influence its actions. It is a form of possession from Terrorforger.

The mechanical inspiration for this form was Sora's Anti-form from KH2.

(seto in specific because he's the one i've thought most about and have seen a lot for different interpretations of)

seto lives in the forest far away from many after the end of his village which taught him magic. he lives outside any full civilization and has since he was a preteen. He spent the time studying and learning, to which be became a harpy as result of. he slowly grew back into human civilization as people began leaning on him for help with various magical ailments or situations requiring help. (think like. zecora from my little pony!)

see in my scenario at some point in magic usage, your magic will change your body. that is a natural process, sort of like how sharpening a blade changes its angle! your magic needs the best possible vessel to be truly used to its potential and it WILL find it. magic is a tradeoff in that sense. as such, the further you get into it, the more the changes happen. its not overnight its over several years but CANNOT be undone.

he is very separated from most of humanity, not really having any friends for a while and not seeking contact, in his teenage years he was entirely focused on magic and learning how to wield it. this devotion was something developed within his childhood as he saw how his magic lashed out and was very capable of hurting people, and being recomended to hone in his magic and slowly grow to weild it- eventually connecting the ideas of 'studying magic' with 'being safer to be around'. in these teenage years he neglected his own physical health beyond what would allow him to continue practicing, barely noticing the small changes happening around him and inside of him. by the time he connects the changes in his body to a form he is too far in and much too emotionally reliant on the structure studying and practicing gives him to give up.

okay uhm. hold on im gonna ramble here abt harpy seto simply because i need to tell someone else about this headcannon of mine. in my headcannon, he was born and raised human, just with magic (think of like how evokers have their own society who contains magic users. like that) but his magic happened in a way that caused his body to change to be more birdlike. harpys are NOT an actual species in my headcannon, more one of those 'creatures beyond god' that were originally something else but became that way due to some magical means. think werewolves or manticores or liches. theyre a condition, not a species to themselves, if they were to reproduce itd cause whatever creature the parent started as.

as a kid specifically his magic was simply very chaotic and hard to control, firing off at random moments usually in fear or anger. as seto was a kid who happened to have very big emotions and big magic potential, these could cause occasional lashes out beyond his control. in turn he was encouraged to study and hone in on his magic in order to not hurt anyone. this had the unfortunate side effect of teaching him the basic idea of studying = being safer to be around and viewing his magic as a sort of curse that kept him isolated from others.

in turn, as he tapped into more and more of his magic potential- his body slowly became more and more adept to take the magic and wield it better, changing the patterns of his growth and general composition of his body. (like how dancers joints adjust and change to different levels of strain than the average persons, but to a bigger scale.)

magic tends to adjust the body, thats normal and expected within magic use. his own tendency to neglect his physical needs caused him to not really notice the small things like feathers in his bed and hair all the time till eventually one day it did suddenly strike him as odd that his hands were more claw-like, that even if his nail polish he used to stop himself from biting his nails chipped, that his nails never broke and had sharpened into neat pointy ends. these changes culminating in him waking up in the middle of the night covered in blankets sweating his ass off just. as a fucking bird thing.

the fear ignited in a fight or flight response, even though there was nothing really to fight against. after that faded, the disgust and fear quickly set in. the fear of what his peers would think, the fear of all of these new sensations, how he would hide it, if he could even turn it off at all or would be stuck like this. as he calmed down and settled in the best he could with what in his mind was some terrible curse, he learned he COULD turn it off! or mitigate it, but only if he stayed calm. (again, magic is really just an extension of ones instinct to protect themselves, a bodily reaction to fear)

In my time as a magic user, I’ve learned a lot and I’ve had lots of changes in how I do things. My last post regarding my concept and other things has become slightly outdated as of recently and this post is here to update it and fix mistakes I’ve made in the previous post. This’ll be a longer post, so if you’re ready, join in on our little dance ad we delve into my journey.

Section 1: The basics

For starters, what is my concept? My concept heavily revolves around the afterlife and all things supernatural. In this world, rumors about ghosts, ghouls, vampires, all sorts of mythical creatures have run rampant all over the world. Some considered more dangerous than others. But what if some of them got out of control, even the more tamer entities like low leveled spirits? Thats where I step in. It’s my job to defeat these entities and send them back to the underworld.

Section 2: How does this happen?

Two words, negative emotions. Humans are known for our strong emotions, and some of the strongest we can feel are negative emotions. Normally, these can pass and we can continue feeling good again, but when certain entities detect these emotions… Thats when it gets out of control. These beings are under two classifications. Roamers and Devils, which we will discuss further later. When some entities come into contact or pick up on these emotions, it can act like a drug to them. Our emotions are easy to feed on and latch onto. They take control and manipulate that fact to feed themselves with it. They are drawn to our emotions like moths to flames. It acts as drugs to them, giving them highs we cannot comprehend. Sometimes when they find a good enough host they can’t and won’t let go until they fully satisfy their needs, which typically means the host is dried to a husk. When entities reach this level of addiction and craving/reliance on it, thats when it’s a problem and they need to be disposed of. Normal humans cannot detect these creatures and are usually completely unaware of whats happening. Humans more in tune with the supernatural and non humans can sense these beings.

Section 3: What are Roamers and Devils?

Roamers and Devils are essentially entities who are addicted to our negative emotions as a broad description. In reality, they have stark differences. They’re categorized differently based off strength instead of what entity they are.

Sub section 1: What is a Roamer?

Roamers are the weaker of the two. They typically feed off of one human at a time but can be on multiple at a time. If they are, it’s usually a household or friend group. The general idea is that the group has to be with each other frequently. Because of Roamers being on the weaker end, they seldom split themselves in half between others as it consumes lots of energy, energy they don’t have and can’t afford to lose. Roamers can be spotted alone without a human host but it’s rather uncommon. This typically happens at night or in very isolated areas to avoid detection. Roamers don’t really have anything of note in regard to abilities. The most I can say is that they are stronger than your average everyday entity, they are faster, they are far more aggressive, and can usually use teleportation or other means of magic. Again, there isn’t much to say since they’re the weaker of the two and don’t usually stray from their hosts. They typically just stay on their host and will escape if they feel too threatened.

Sub section 2: What is a Devil?

Devils are the stronger of the two, and most dangerous. Instead of latching onto only one host, they prefer larger groups of people or entire areas of human activity. They sort of claim it as their domain. Devils can be made from roamers who’ve gained enough substance or from an entity who was already powerful and after discovering the high of negativity grew exponentially. Devils act fast and can be especially hard to detect. The easiest places to spot a Devil is on the edges of their territory or the heart of it. When Devils enter combat, they start using their abilities to their fullest potential. When a devil is in its territory, they can create portals. These portals is a Devils personal playground of sorts. They have complete control over it, and thats where they usually show their true form. Devils have a wide range of powers so there isn’t a general idea I can give. Devils are meant to be dealt with swiftly before any further damage could be done. Due to hoe dangerous a Devils Portal can be, as soon as they are defeated they are to be sealed at all costs.

Now with those two explained, how would these creatures be killed? Well it’s simple. Decapitating them will kill them. There are special blades and weapons that can be made to decapitate Roamers and Devils. When you decapitate them, it’s over. After killing them it is vital that you purify the area and banish anything that may remain of a Roamer or Devil. When these entities perish, they are sent back to the underworld. When they pass on they also drop gem like things called nightmares. Nightmares harbors all of the negativity they’ve stolen/hoarded into one. These beings have consumed so much they basically are the embodiment of negativity. For Devils, these are vital to closing their portals. For Roamers, they’re good to keep on you and can be used if you need to purify an area by transforming that energy and using it against said Roamer. They can also be used for banishing with both Roamers and Devils. I can feed off Nightmares, as negative energy can be eaten by some without the addiction that transforms them into these creatures, and it can actually be beneficial for some humans to be fed off of (with moderation).

Section 3: What exactly is my job in all of this?

My job is to send these creatures back to the underworld. I act as someone who keeps them in check and when an entity gets out of control I’ll step in and dispose of them. I’m half ghost and half human, and as stated before humans can’t detect these beings well or at all. However I have ways to counter act this. First off, I have my ring called Specters Ruby. This ring allows me to easier detect these creatures as it’s directly connected to my ghost. Then, theres my veil. I’ve had “veiled” in my name for a reason. I wear a bridal veil which helps me see these creatures clearly. My veil is specially made to detect and spot entities of all kinds, so my veil comes in handy and when I’m transformed I keep it on at all times. My last means is my left eye, also known as the all seeing eye. When I’m transformed, my left eye changes to the color purple. The color purple can be associated with psychic abilities, so you can imagine how it helps me. It allows me to better see and detect an entities aura which can lead to finding Roamers and Devils.

The way I fight and transform (at the moment) is in the astral realm, but I say inner world mainly as it isn’t necessarily astral projection. I used to fully astral projection but now I use that inner world to travel around and find these beings. My main weapon is a scythe, but I also use a sword, daggers, a wand, and a gun. These all aid me in their own ways. My daggers can be used to pin an enemy down or limit their mobility by striking a sensitive spot (they aren’t able to kill), my wand helps me cast magic that banishes, purifies, and seals portals or use magic in general, my sword is used for more direct attacks and closer range. My guns are used as long distance, and although they can’t kill them, they can do a lot of damage to them and make them vulnerable. Lastly, my scythe is my main weapon that I use for decapitation. Although I can use my sword to decapitate, I find my scythe easier to use and consider it more flexible for me. This way, I have a lot of items at my disposal to make my job easier. I am guided by an angel whose name I will not disclose, and my familiar, named Fairy. They help me train and figure out what I need to do and how to handle it. With their help, I’ve been able to successfully fight and banish many of these harmful entities and protect people from them.

Section 4: The conclusion

(Narcissa @ Arceus) Forgive me if this is a bit forward, but ive noticed something of a repeating pattern about the issies plaguing your universe. It seems like you've conditioned the gods of your world not to care about what happens to those in it. You say you have trouble controlling a single mew, ypuve out unrealistic expectations on your children with harsh punishments.

It feels like you rule through fear and threat of deletion and not respect and as a result all your problems stem from creatures who through your actions know you dont value them or their lives and it seems they have the mentality to care as little for the failure of your world when you care so little for them.

Or at least thats what ive seen. I mean with the amount of time you said you erased and restarted...it looks like you cemented the idea that it doesnt matter what they do good or bad, if you arent hapy you'll just replace them with a new one. Thats a disastrous mindset to have. Your doomed for the cycle to repeat cause the only thing you havent changed with each restart...is yourself.

Arceus: I am trying. I have been trying for years and years. You think I want to be rid of my children with each reset? Of course I don’t! It’s so difficult with each reset! But I cannot keep a failure of a universe going. This is necessary for me to do. Yes, I know it’s awful for me to have to erase my children and raise them all over again. I know. But it’s what I need to do. I don’t care if you are from a universe where things have been successful. You have had no idea what I have had to go through to even get this universe into a state in which I haven’t had to reset it yet! Of course I care about my children! How dare you consider the notion that I don’t!

*Arceus could feel the anger bubbling and boiling inside of him. He regretted even letting a single Pokémon speak to him. If this was the level of respect he was getting from Pokémon who barely knew him, he wanted nothing to do with them. With deep, heavy breaths, he stared down at the Lunala.*

Arceus: You think I want to punish my children? To threaten them? Of course I don’t. I have only done so a couple of times. Do you want to know why? Because Singularity decided to enter the mortal realm and almost wipe out every single mortal. It’s so hard seeing your child, someone who you created, destroy the very world that you spent time and effort making. I cannot have my children, who wield powers beyond mortal comprehension, to roam around doing whatever they desire. Their actions have consequences. I tried the softer approach a long time ago and it did not work. I could not control the three of them. So now I’ve had to turn to my harsher methods. If you think coming to me with those comments will somehow change my “disastrous mindset” as you so claim, perhaps you should consider how you approach other Pokémon.

i hate elves.

i say this, having played an elf before so i know why powergamers like them. there is nothing wrong with enjoying the aesthetic of 'twink with a sword' or 'elven accuracy go brrrr'.

but having read the 'elf book' (i think it was the same book as them releasing all the new variants of tieflings? i cant remember now) i was underwhelmed.

Elf lore is that they are basically No Name brand Tolkien elves with none of the interesting, ethereal bits and all of the xenophobia. Which - wanna preface this - there is nothing bad about exploring themes of discrimination in ttrpgs. It just. has to be handled with something other than misinterpreting or straight up copying Lord of the Rings?

I cannot for the life of me find the book it was in, but i remember reading that elves want to travel back to their homeland or feel a call to the beyond or something like that. Which is just. LotR elves but less interesting.

My main issue is that elves in WotC worlds offer nothing new to the genre. They are generic, easily digestible, bland ass creatures. I'm not as familiar with Pf2e lore but at least they actually bring up the problem of different lifespans in their description. Also! Elves change in appearance in pf depending on where they live. so we don't NEED 700 different kinds of elves.

Doing a cursory glance at a wiki (which is sad that only Fandom has info on WotC. one would think they would care more about their lore.) I get this.

This is everything they have on the general culture for elves. If i click into the lore sections for Sun Elves, it provides me with a little bit more - which is nice.

only issue is that Sun Elves aren't a thing anymore.

The most expansive lore for elves is. Drow. Eughhhhhh spider sex cult.

anyone who knows me irl has gotten the Drow Rant before; but recently I changed my mind. I don't hate Drow for what they do - but rather how it is presented.

Drow are an 'Evil Race' - although not Naturally Evil like Orcs (which was wild to read and i have a bone to pick abt that)

Yet their lore emphasizes that 'all' drow have a massive superiority complex, a lack of conventional morality, are vengeful, taught to be power hungry, and mistrust everyone around them - even the ones that don't want to be 'evil'. And you know what?

Thats rad! I like that!

There is a non-perfect society that doesn't always get along with itself. Granted the reason they provide as to why Drow haven't just killed each other is kindof a cop-out but with very minimal tweaking you might actually have something. The only thing i don't really like abt drow is that there is no 'good' or redeeming traits about them. Culture is 2 sides of the same coin; for every horrible policy, there was something relatively good. Maybe their judicial system is tight. Maybe they have great infrastructure. Idk but I want to know more.

Anyways TLDR: Elves deserve better. I find them bland because they are just empty husks stolen from Lord of the Rings, and half their lore no longer applies to modern dnd. Drow are the only semi-fleshed out elves and that scares me bc they are a spider sex cult. ;/
