The consequences of my poor financial decisions are here!!
#blame Kat for this lmao. she got the Yangchen novels first and I very easily give in to peer pressure (that wasn't exerted. but whatever)#three days earlier than scheduled too. which worked out perfectly bc I picked them up on the way home from grandma's#and carried them for 2 km. 2 hardcover books + the thick cardboard boxset they're in#+ the backpack full of food my grandma gave me#in the rain#I nearly fucking died#I'm not made for this level of physical exercise 😅#okay moving on#nia stop calling things like this poor financial decisions challenge#it cost like. the equivalent of 40 bucks#I have 30 times as much hidden away in my sock drawer#and I am usually responsible with my spending. I'm allowed a slightly more expensive treat every once in a while#also my dad doesn't know but I'm sure if I would him 'hey I spent 3.8k on a pair of books is that okay'#he'd be like 'why tf are you asking when have I ever said no to you spending money'#but again. I do try to be mindful#which is why as much as I want the lok art books and could probably ask for money for them. I won't#bc they cost an arm and a leg and I cannot morally allow myself to spend that kind of money#anyway. getting distracted again#do you know how hard it was to get these? I checked like 3 marketplaces before I did#and I was fully ready to get them in russian because non-classical english books are impossible to come by here#sanctions and all that. but somehow I did. and it only cost half the money in my bank account#I don't even know if Russian editions exist. these books were written before the war and before the gay propaganda ban but still#I didn't find them when I looked. maybe they don't sell them now that the law is in place or smth#I don't really care enough to look it up#the point is. I now own the books and can happily read about best girl kyoshi whenever I want#if the stress for an upcoming event doesn't kill me. that is#also I have read rok before but it was 3 years ago so my memory is vague. and I just realised how much thinner sok is?#I'll have to check the page count later

Yoga Pilates Exercise for Thin Legs #yoga #fatloss #thighfatloss #weight...
Yoga Pilates for Thin Legs
Yoga and Pilates are two popular forms of exercise that can help you to achieve thin legs. Both exercises focus on using your body weight to strengthen and tone your muscles, without adding bulk.
Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation. Pilates is a low-impact exercise that focuses on core strength and flexibility.
Some of the specific yoga and Pilates exercises that can help you to achieve thin legs include:
Warrior Pose: This pose helps to strengthen your quads, hamstrings, and glutes
Downward Facing Dog: This pose helps to stretch your calves, hamstrings, and hip flexors.
Plank Pose: This pose helps to strengthen your core muscles
Leg Circles: This exercise helps to improve your range of motion in your hips and ankles.
Leg Extensions: This exercise helps to strengthen your quads and hamstrings
Single Leg Circles: This exercise helps to improve your balance and coordination
You can do these exercises as part of a regular yoga or Pilates routine, or you can do them on their own. If you are new to yoga or Pilates, it is important to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts as you get stronger.
It is also important to listen to your body and rest when you need to. If you are feeling pain, stop the exercise and consult with a doctor or certified yoga or Pilates instructor.
In addition to yoga and Pilates, there are other exercises that can help you to achieve thin legs, such as running, biking, and swimming. You can also try to incorporate more strength-training exercises into your routine, such as squats, lunges, and leg presses.
Finally, it is important to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. This will help you to maintain a healthy weight and reduce the amount of fat on your legs.

Are you a trans girl or non-conforming and would like to try out feminine clothing? You may want to check this out.
Say you found this dress online and you really love the overall style of it. Great! If you’re like me, you would say “F it! I’ll buy the dress and I’ll wear it how I like!” and move on with your life. That should the end of this guide, right? Except, there is one little problem: not everybody thinks this way. Those who look for the best matching outfits aren’t just searching to fit their style, color, or personality. It also has to do with their body type. If you’re in that situation, this guide may help you out.
Body shape
Believe it or not, there are many different types of body shape (up to 10). However, the most common tend to be the following (in no order):
Tumblr media
Rectangle- Even distribution on shoulders, hips, and waistline
Pear/Triangle- Wide hips, well-defined waist, small shoulders
Hourglass- Near-exact hip and shoulder measurements, thinner waistline
Inverted Triangle- Broader shoulders, narrower hips, little waist definition
Apple/Round- Broad shoulders and big bust, thin legs and hips
Many transgender women have the inverted triangle body shape due to several factors such as genetics, bone structure, and age. However, your body shape may also change over time due to a rebalancing of hormones, body fat, and even lifestyle. While you can’t change your bone structure, you can change your body definition through exercises.
Body proportion
Here is something you may find useful if you’re looking to customize your look. Body proportions are unique to every individual and play a factor on clothing and to some extent, accessories such as jewelry. For instance, you may find the skirt you bought looks either too long or short. There are a few areas where to measure your body proportions such as wrist length or neck size. But the best way to improve your dress type is by following the “golden ratio rule” of dividing your body into three:
Tumblr media
The way this is read is you’re either one-third top, two-thirds bottom, or you’re two-thirds top, one-third bottom. Once you get more knowledge, you can go upwards even eighths! But for now, the focus is on these two outcomes.
The two-thirds top, one-third bottom words well with long dresses:
Tumblr media
while the one-third top, two-thirds bottom works well with more casual clothing:
Tumblr media
Body measurements
Now that we got a few problems out of our way, it’s time to figure out what measurements you have. The best way to find out is by using a mirror and a soft measuring tape for body. Measure all the crucial parts of your body, which are the waist, hips, shoulders, and bust. This will determine the type of body you have and have a better idea on what length you will need to try out your clothing of choice.
Tumblr media
Shoe size
One thing very important about an outfit is choosing footwear. Although you can use your old Converses with your flared jeans, you’re certainly not going to use them with a ruffled dress. You’re definitely going to want heels or flats! Unfortunately, women’s shoe size are not exactly the same as men. But don’t give up! Fortunately, there are women’s size conversion charts that help you choose what shoe size you need.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To find out your measurements on your own, grab at least two blank pieces of paper, a pencil or pen, and a measuring tape. Place your foot firmly forward and carefully trace around the outer area of your foot. Repeat this with your other foot. Once finished, grab your measuring tape and measure from your highest point to your lowest on both sheets. Measure the width as well. If both feet measure close to 10.5, your women’s size is a 12. However, due to a difference in manufacturing based on shoe brand, as well as shoe type like pumps, the average recommended size is at least 2 inches above your actual size. For those living in other countries that don’t use the US measuring size, I left a chart that shows all the possible measurements you may use to convert your shoe size into women’s size.
What to wear based on body type
Since not all clothing is made for everyone, it’s time to list what is considered the “ideal” clothing choices based on body type. Note that these are opinions from my source’s authors. IMO, the pictures below each suggestion are a better opinion. Your are free to choose your type of clothing.
Rounded or apple shapes fit best with monochrome colors and make the person look more “fit”.
Tumblr media
Pear or triangle shapes look more balanced with decorative accessories on top while keeping the bottom more plain.
Tumblr media
Rectangle shapes tend to have more volume with a waist belt while pleated pants give more volume on hips.
Tumblr media
Hourglass shapes look best when wearing bodycon dresses and cardigans to emphasize volume in their waistline.
Tumblr media
Inverted triangle shapes pull off the wide leg pants and fitted top combo the best.
Tumblr media
For a much more comprehensive guide for each body type, I highly recommend reading The Concept Wardrobe’s guides. It gives more details on what to wear and how to choose the best combinations. Link is provided here: https://theconceptwardrobe.com/search?query=body+frame
Tips on what to wear
Now that you reached this point, I’m pretty sure you’re excited to try out what your heart desires. However, before you go out and buy that two-piece dress, I recommend researching and observing the type of clothing women wear today. Believe it or not, people will judge based on your way of dressing, from background to social status to age. A simple look like bodysuit and jeans may look perfect on you and blend you in with the girls, but something like a hot pink bodycon will make you stand out, and most likely not in a good way. So how would you choose something that blends you in with society, but also be comfortable at the same time? Here are some tips and pics:
Find clothing that “feels” feminine. In other words, buy clothing that “feminizes” your body, such as tops that make your shoulders look shorter, wrap dresses that make your waistline shorter, and skirts that make your hips look wider.
Find the best colors based on skin tone and hair color. For instance, try out warm colors such as orange if your skin tone is warm.
Dress sexy, but never go too revealing. Seriously, have some respect to yourself. But if you really want to go out wearing, for example, a two-piece outfit, wear one that looks stylish and flatters your body in a great way.
Use accessories that fit and blend well with your body. Large jewelry goes well with larger frame, small jewelry fits with smaller wrist, and so forth. Don’t forget the purse! It is absolutely necessary now that you’re wearing pocketless clothing. Choose one that fits your taste and needs.
Bras and undergarments are necessary to wear now. As you further into your transition, your breasts will start growing and it will become more difficult and uncomfortable going out braless. Start out with a brassiere, then move on to a fitted bra as they become bigger over time. As for down there, I would use boy briefs as they’re similar to boxers. Although HRT will cause it to shrink, it does not make it disappear. If you must hide it, use a gaff or a tuck, but do not use chastity belts (Seriously, stay away from that unless you’re really into that thing).
Optional: use waist shapers or corsets to slim down waist. Hip enlargement pads will also give your narrow hips and butt much needed volume. Breast forms can also give you an idea how big you want them in the future.
Fashion sense
But the most important part of choosing clothing as a trans girl is to wear whatever suits your taste.
For instance, are you more into the traditional and simple feminine aesthetic? Cottagecore may be for you:
Tumblr media
But what if you’re the rebellious type that prefers to defy tradition? Well, maybe the alt-girl fashion is for you:
Tumblr media
Maybe you’re the type that changes clothing based on season. So if you’re a summer-season type of girl, you’re definitely going for an outfit like this:
Tumblr media
How about if you’re into the gym? Clearly your goal is to be like this:
Tumblr media
Are you into business casual? There’s also a pic for that:
Tumblr media
(The girl in the pic is also transgender! Her name is Suzi Hunter, better known as The Sphere Hunter.)
But we also can’t forget cosplay, either!:
Tumblr media
(Cosplayer is Eden the Doll, a trans woman cosplayer! Picture belongs to Geo Leon.)
You’re probably the party type who loves some action:
Tumblr media
Casual wear can also be tasteful and attractive too:
Tumblr media
There’s so much to pic, but each style says a lot about what type of woman you are.
Where to buy clothing
If you’re interested in finding the right clothes for you, check out places that are especially gender-inclusive. As I’m based in the US, clothing stores such as Target are a good start while higher-end chains such as Nordstrom and Macy’s may have a better variety to choose from. If you’re a thrifty shopper, your local outlets, discount stores, and thrift shops have a surprising amount of great clothing for affordable prices. Although online sites like Amazon, Shein, and Zara have affordable and appealing clothing, many of these brands also have ethical concerns that overshadow their reputation. Dubbed “fast fashion”, they are a source of scrutiny among fashion fans and I would personally avoid them if possible. If you really need something affordable and new, I highly recommend purchasing through discount and thrift stores.
If you’re in need of safe undergarments, check out Urbody. They have clothing suitable for trans people, non-binary, and other identities, varying from binders to tucked leggings. They are founded by trans and non-binary people and use ethical practices and living wages for their workers. If you’re interested in checking their site out, here is the link to their page (I am not sponsored by them): https://urbody.co/
Conclusion
The whole point of this guide is to help you pick the proper clothing and accessories as a newly-out girl. I made this guide since there doesn’t seem to be many that are detailed. Keep in mind I’m still learning about female clothing as I am still in the first stages of transition myself. If anyone would like to add more info that is missing or provide any corrections, please reblog and add more helpful tips as it would help trans girls, trans women, non-binary, and anyone else that desires to wear affirming clothing. Please refrain from using any hurtful language if you’re doing so. Thank you and hugs!

Random thoughts about my weight
Im a heavier gal. (Full disclosure about 240lb currently) I am working on getting more vegetables and exercise in my life, but for the foreseeable future Im still gonna be a heavier gal.
Im gonna look heavy no matter what i wear.
So im gonna wear what i like. Hiding my arms doesn't make them look thinner
This is something ive lived by for the past few years and honestly, while its hard at first to fight the instinct to hide my arms or legs or whatever, once you stop it feels so much better.
Also i still have the instinct to explain why im heavy, like that makes a difference if ive had health issues or some "reasonable explination" makes it more excusable to be the weight i am when in reality no one should ever have to explain themselves for something like that. Regardless of the reason im fat, I deserve basic human respect without excuses.
Which brings me to the fat positivity thing. To me it's never been about wanting to be fat or fat being healthy or unhealthy or whatever. Its about it doesnt matter if you're healthy or not you still deserve to be treated well and with dignity.
I remember my friends laughing at a girl who rode her bike in our neighborhood all the time because "youd think shed be skinnier with all that biking" which is just utter nonsense. I didnt speak up then when i should have but i still think about it often. The girl wasnt even big. I have no idea what their problem was.
But how do you expect someone to even get exercise when theyre larger when you laugh at them when they try? Make it make sense it doesn't
Just like idk
Let people live? And leave them alone? Treat people with basic respect?
I dont generally feel any particular WAY about my weight, its just there, but sometimes i do concider it and get mad on my blubber belly's behalf.

I didn’t want to hijack a Chinese video with a Japanese answer, re: that douyin about how ancient chinese people sit
The first time I visited Japan, I asked someone “how do you sit seiza for so long without your legs falling asleep?”
What I was told you’re supposed to do is spread your knees about shoulder width, cross your big toes, and cradle your butt in the space between your ankles. If that’s too difficult, you can always just sit with your legs folded off to one side. A zabuton helps—it’s like extra large square couch pillows. Kind of on the thinner side but decently firm so you don’t feel the floor through the padding. If your knees are bad, take two. I was also told to add a little extra stretching, like yoga, to my regular exercise to build some endurance.
Standing back up gracefully is a separate endeavor. I am afraid I do not have any hacks to share.
Ohhh wow thank you very much for the info! Usually I try to change the knees/legs/but positions several times before I give up and move on to sitting with the legs folded to one side like you suggested hahaha They still get numb ;___; I need to do something with myself.

While I am evidently on a ranting roll tonight, it also really fucking bothered me that the new endocrinologist that I happened to see for a routine yearly diabetes check-in a few weeks back, after the last one moved? She apparently decided that as essentially an ethnic minority of one here, I look weird enough that it might well be pathological.
(I would probably feel a little different about it if she weren't also from anothet ethnic minority--albeit one that is MUCH more common locally and in this country at large. It doesn't hit quite the same that way, but I still found it pretty damned offensive.)
It also didn't help that my basic build helped get me treated like garbage so much under the NHS--with definite racial undertones at times. I would just as soon never hear a single word about my meat form again, which is not very directly relevant to the issue I have come in over, and in a non-fatphobic way.
But yeah, I have ended up looking like a lot of my mother's family in middle age. If one of the thinner versions these days.
Tumblr media
Shitty crop of me with my mom, 20 years and at least 50 lbs. ago.
We have big kinda flat faces with barrel chests and big shoulders--and our arms and legs also turn skinnier-looking by comparison to the big old torso as we get older. No matter how much meat is over it (and I am still fairly scrawny now!), you are still gonna be mostly shoulders and a ribcage which is NOT dainty. Mr. C half-laughingly backed me up that half my family is just Like This, and he hasn't even seen all the extended clan together.
And the (very) extended family resemblance kinda goes farther than that. (Thus the ethnic part being very fucking relevant.) I don't always necessarily like it, but that's just how we're made.
So yeah, that new endo decided to send me to be tested for Cushing's Syndrome, entirely based on eyeballing.
Tumblr media
Look, it's me! Go off, I guess.
(She also asked some pointed questions like whether my freakishly skinny arms made it difficult to wheel myself around in the chair. Erm, NOPE, not at all. Absolutely no symptoms other than striking her as Wrong Looking. She also recorded in the notes which I can see online, that I was getting less exercise than I said I was--very possibly mentally filtering my actual answer through that Freakish Twig Limb perception.)
What gets me even worse is that I DO totally coincidentally have experience with Cushing's, from when I got that pituitary tumor in my teens. She knew nothing about this when she brought the subject up out of the blue.
As the first medical professional to ever do so over the past 30-odd years, I might add. Nobody who has actually been aware of that history has triggered on it either.
Cushing's is very noticeable and very hard to live with! I got extremely sick, gained like 80 lbs. over a year from it, and developed the actual corticosteroid moonface then! Nobody much wanted to listen to me at the time, likely mostly because AFAB teenager! But, I do know very well what that fucking feels like!
But yeah, that thankfully got fixed and I haven't experienced symptoms for like 30 years. That whole experience was also very freaking traumatic, which is probably not helping my reaction now with it getting brought back up so bizarrely and unexpectedly. (Also, could I somehow be secretly Very Sick now without realizing it?! I do very much rationally doubt it, but doubt still keeps nagging at me.)
I guess I had better play along for now. In a way, it is good to see another demonstration that they don't seem to do the same kind of foolish pennypinching here as under the NHS. They will refer you for whatever testing they think is necessary, even if that sometimes includes a labwork wild goose chase based on some terrible assumptions! I would rather have them be thorough, even when it's dumb as hell and kinda insulting.
I am indeed pretty confident that I just look like a middle-aged $SURNAME from another freaking continent, who is also recovering from malnutrition and still pretty scrawny. (Which the doc was aware of.) I am also still feeling some kind of way about this fact setting off weird alarm bells in some new doctor that I am stuck dealing with for the foreseeable future.
I could easily make some of my own unflattering speculations based on her appearance, which was very different from my own. Sorta Marfanoid, with buggy eyes possibly indicating thyroid issues? (Maybe there's also some wider ethnic thing going on there too, for all I know. I have seen a lot more folks from her part of the world than basically anyone here has from mine!)
But yeah, that really really would not go over too well. And it's not my place either.

My question may be a bit ridiculous but I still want to ask based on your analysis,
In the HTTYD series, Hiccup was always called "Fishbone" because he was born prematurely, yes, he was like that in the first movie and he couldn't even lift a bucket of water, but in the next movies, the armor he wore was mostly made of iron pieces. In order to prevent hard falls and to soften the blows, the thickness of the iron should be thicker than normal, right? Technically, it would probably be like that. Okay, back to the question, damn.. I forgot the question I was going to ask. Okay wait, it takes physical effort to lift that much weight, but when we examined his costume, and even in the first scene of the movie, during the secret attack, we saw a soldier say to Hiccup "People don't have such fishbone legs!" (That's how it was in my language, I can't remember the English version, excuse me.) So.. is this physically possible???
To be honest, it's a question that has been on my mind for days before going to bed and has been keeping me awake for ridiculous reasons..
Not ridiculous at all! It's a great question!
I did a little research just to be sure, but it is entirely possible to be lean and strong, it does have to do with how you exercise though. It's like with gymnasts, they are incredibly strong, but also can be on the leaner side.
I also had to scroll back a bit on my blog to reference this post that also talks about Hiccup's strength.
I don't think it's ever explicitly stated when he started working in the forge with Gobber, but smithing does take a considerable amount of muscle, not to mention just holding on to Toothless while he flies. Using his flight suit as well must use a good amount of strength. Now, based on how quickly he made Toothless' tail, I'm guessing he had been in the forge a couple years at least. There are headcanons that he was sick a lot growing up, and that could also explain why he's so small for his age and not as strong in the first movie as he is a few years later in Race to the Edge and the other two films.
I like the fishbone callback! In English, I believe the line was "No human has legs that skinny!"
Do animated films play a little with the laws of physics? Definitely!
But, we do see many instances proving that Hiccup is stronger than he looks. I'll just name a few off the top of my head:
• Knocking Dagur off a cliff
• Knocking Toothless off a cliff
• Stopping a man twice his size wielding an axe with rope that Hiccup is holding taught (I literally had to rewind and make sure I had seen that right, but it's true! He does)
• Catching and carrying Astrid when she was dead weight easily
These examples are all from Race to the Edge, I'm sure there are some from the movies, but those are just what came to mind first.
And you're right, his armor definitely isn't light. Based on the color, it's probably not Gronckle iron since it has a specific coloring and a distinct pattern (though that would make more sense for his armor, as it's known to be lightweight and incredibly strong). The pieces do look thick, at least a 1/4-1/2 inch maybe (at least the shoulder pieces, but don't quote me on that), and wearing it as much as he does is bound to build up muscle.
It does appear that Hiccup takes more after Valka physically, and she is lean and definitely muscular as well. I'm no expert, but the fluidity in which she moves using her staff and while standing on Cloudjumper proves that she's strong while staying on the thinner side.
Since Hiccup is often underestimated due to his size and age, I like that this is another area where he takes people by surprise.

Hi! I've been following your comics for a long time and just saw that you squatted over 200 lbs! Congratulations!!
I want to ask this with the best of intentions and good faith. Would you still consider yourself fat? I recently started weightlift training myself and there's this annoying fatphobic part of my brain that is always present whenever i start any type of exercise that says "oh, will this be the thing that makes me loss my belly?" And it usually gets drowned out by the learned body positivity telling me not to make that a goal and there's nothing wrong with my fat.
Tysm! And that is a very good question, thank you for reaching out.
I would definitely still consider myself fat-- I work out 3-5 times a week and have for years, and my legs are pretty muscular, which is nice! But I am a chunky person, and it's pretty clear to me at this point that even if I drown in anxiety every time I eat a piece of bread, that's not going to change XD
That acceptance has definitely shifted the way I think about the gym/working out for the better. My goals are no longer focused on maximizing calorie output, setting the gym up as a punishment for having the body I have, which would always send me into anxiety spirals about going. Instead, I wanted to make the gym a regular (non-stressful) part of my life, because I realized maintaining a baseline of fitness-- at whatever size I am-- is important to helping me remain independent and able to do the work I'm passionate about as I age.
I feel like this change in my relationship with the gym has been one of the more important changes in my life-- treating working out as something more like doing the dishes than some kind of major shift into a new, thinner chapter of my life. I figure that I probably have many years ahead of me, and with how much I value my independence, I want to make sure I can stay mobile and pain-free for as long as I can (so I can keep making comics).
That of course doesn't mean I'll never get sick, or that ppl who do get sick just didn't do enough squats or deserve to be stigmatized for it! But osteoporosis has cropped up in my family before, and lifting helps increase bone density, as well as building a good foundation of stabilizing muscles if anything ever goes wrong. It's helped get rid of back pain and improve my posture, and while I'm sure there's a technique component at play, I feel like I have lifting to thank for my wrist strength-- drawing all those tiny lines somehow hasn't destroyed my wrist, and is always easier when I'm consistently deadlifting!
And, of course, there's the confidence that comes with picking up a big heavy thing and putting it back down. I feel proud that I have a body that can do that, which is something I have never felt before, even with everything I know about body positivity. When I first started lifting I also had those little thoughts about how it might impact my waistline-- I think it's something that's so deeply ingrained in fat people to prioritize that it's really hard to shut off. But it eventually did stop, replaced with an honest desire to explore my body's ability to pick up heavy thing off ground. An exploration of my body's strengths instead of a punishment for its perceived faults.
I hope this was helpful and didn't just sound like an ad for powerlifting XD

⚠️ Eating Disorders ⚠️
Pairing:Minho x gender neutral reader
Summary:When Minho realizes you're struggling with an eating disorder he encourages you to get help.
Let's get one thing straight. I don't have a problem. I simply noticed that I seem to have been slower whenever I go running lately. So I decided to fix the problem by putting myself on a strict diet. Thankfully, I know people in the Glade. I switch around who I give my dinner to, and nobody ever has a second thought about it.
From there things kind of escalated. I became obsessed with seeing myself grow thinner. Each time my clothes felt baggier there was this sense of pride. It got to the point where if something did fit me I'd feel shame. Then, there became the point where the clothes not fitting wasn't good enough for me. I would look at my body and see nothing but flaws. Suddenly, I was thankful we didn't own mirrors so I couldn't see any others.
Things somehow managed to get worse. What was once a simple diet so I could run faster seemed to be slowing me down. Except, it could be something else. What if I was actually gaining weight?
That's when another idea came to mind. Every time my time slowed I would punish myself by running extra hard. When everyone was in bed I'd be running laps around the Glade. Yesterday it was so bad I made myself stay up all night sprinting, doing pushups, and basically any accessible exercise.
I really wish I would have thought of how that might slow me down in the maze itself. I knew I was doing terrible because my partner today was Minho who was doing this like it was nothing. I used to run like this before what was supposed to be a diet took over my life.
"I'm fine,"I repeated as the stitch in my side grew. I really wanted water, but I wasn't doing good enough to earn any.
"Uh, you okay?"He asked.
"Mhm,"I lied, my legs threatening to give out from under me.
"You're breathing pretty heavy. You look five seconds away from passing out."
"Okay. Hey, we should probably stop for lunch,"He suggested, looking at his watch. I felt a thousand nerves run through my body. I don't know how many times I can use the 'I forgot it' excuse.
"Sure,"I pretended to agree, sitting against the wall. Then, I faked looking in my bag before putting it up.
"I thought you'd say that,"He sighed, before reaching for something. Before I could ask what he was doing he pulled out a bag. To be more specific it was my lunch bag with my name. He shook his head as he tossed the empty bag at me.
"Are you not going to eat?"He asked skeptically.
"I forget it,"I shrugged, being way too used to lying for my comfort. I had to though. They wouldn't understand and would just blow it out of proportion.
"You haven't asked for a lunch,"He accused. It was true, but I still shook my head no. "You give away your dinner,"He kept going. I stared at the ground wondering how to get out of this. "You didn't eat anything for breakfast,"He listed. "You've lost so much weight you have to wear a belt with every outfit,"He continued. "And you've been the one running around the Glade at night,"He finished. I couldn't make myself look at him as I kept staring at the ground. I could feel his eyes burning into my soul.
"Last ni-"
"Those are all true, aren't they?"He asked.
"It's sort of an exaggeration,"I said quietly.
"When's the last time you've eaten?"
"Nice try. Winston had an extra. Try again."
"Yesterd-"
"You left your lunch as you ran, and you left before breakfast. Try again. When's the last time you've eaten?"
"Three days ago,"I admitted loud enough for him to hear. By now I closed my eyes because even the ground seemed to be judging me.
"Three days ago,"I muttered, my voice almost a whisper.
"When?"He asked again, not having heard me the first time.
"Why?"He questioned. There were a lot of reasons, but I didn't say anything. I wasn't planning on doing so anytime soon.
"You're going to kill yourself if you keep on going. Not metaphorically. You are literally going to make yourself shut down. Even worse, you're a Runner. What happens if one day you pass out or don't make it out of these walls in time?"
"I'm a Runner, and Runners are fast. They're strong. They don't get tired. I wasn't doing that so I tried a diet,"I confessed.
"I'm a Runner,"I repeated.
"Yeah. That's what I said."
"A diet? Last time I checked a diet doesn't mean starving yourself. It's not staying up all night so you can collapse from exhaustion the next day. It's not punishing yourself because you don't think you're doing something good enough. If it was a diet you wouldn't have sat there and lied to me."
"I said I tried a diet. It got a little out of hand, and now I can't go back."
"What do you mean you can't go back?"
"I can't just go back to eating normally. I'll just be disgusted with myself. I don't want to feel gross when I look at myself."
"Y/N, you are going to die if you keep this up. Do you understand? You are killing yourself. If you pass out here someone may not be with you that day to get you out. Then, you're stuck here all night with the Greivers. The Greivers are going to kill you, and everyone's going to be asking 'Where's Y/N? Why isn't she back?' The doors are going to close, and it's over. Because if someone notices too late to run in here you are screwed. You're totally shucked. You're going to be dead or you're going to get stung, and we'll have to banish you, and I don't want to banish you. I don't want to have to push you through these doors, and I don't want to run across a pool of your blood,"He said in one breath.
I looked over and for only the second time in my life saw Minho cry. That had been when he pulled Newt out of the maze. Crying wasn't something he did, at least in front of others. Now he was sitting beside me with a tear streaked face, and I didn't know what to do.
"I don't know how to stop. I want to, but I don't know how. I've been doing this for so long that it seems impossible to go back to how I was,"I admitted, my own silent tears falling down my face. I hadn't realized I even wanted to until I said it out loud. I didn't even realize how much of a problem it was.
"I think we should head back for today. Drink up,"He directed.
"Alby's going to be pissed,"I pointed out.
"It's not safe for you to be here right now. I'm sure he'd understand."
"I don't want to tell Alby,"I mumbled.
"Then, don't, but you're not running anymore today. You need to eat and catch up on sleep."
"Even if it takes forever. Come on. Are you ready to go?"He asked, holding his hand out. I looked at him before taking it.
"This is going to be hard to do,"I uttered. "It is, but you won't be doing it alone. I'm going to be right beside you,"He promised.
"Even if it takes a while?"
"Yeah. I'm ready to get some help."

we always joked about how massive our gal’s baby daddy must've been, but we've never come to a consensus on what color he could've been to throw these colors out of a (assumed classic?) tabby mom. I was curious if you had any insight? just as a thought experiment if you'd like to, no pressure if not! :>
we took mom (Abbey) and two of her four kittens (Emmie, Zoe) home, so I only have one picture of the newborn potatoes and another of a kitten sibling.
Abbey: (I never realized until now just how few pictures I had of any of them that are like. just standing and from the side.)
tabby (black/brown/white) with thick black down the spine and topline of her tail, thick striping, good sized chunk of white in the neck and chest. short, slick agouti fur
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Emmie:
grey and white, solid colors/no striping. very thick, short-medium fur. also dense as a bowling ball lmao.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zoe:
black and white, solid colors. short fur, black could look brown in certain lighting and might(???) have been a very light striping on the wrists between super dark brown and black, but hard to tell due to health. she had super bad allergies and repeatedly gnawed her fur off of her legs and belly despite having monthly vet visits and many expensive increasingly niche/novel foods for years - she was otherwise healthy, figured the mangey look needed an explanation ;-;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Siblings:
one solid blueish(?) grey (male) and one grey striped medium-length fur (female) iirc
Tumblr media
eternal thanks for any info you'd care to give, otherwise enjoy the cat pics :p
Hello! Yes thank you, I love these kind of exercises 😸
So! You're right about Abbey, she's a black classic tabby with white. (I think i'd call this level of white bicolor, but honestly that's pretty irrelevant.)
Emmie is blue with white, Zoe (seems like this is the day of Zoes) is black with white. (If you hadn't mentioned her fur issues, i'd maybe guess smoke, but in this case it's probably just the effect of the thinner coat.) The faint striping and the brown shades are pretty normal for black cats.
Siblings: solid blue and black or blue tabby. Did both of them have white too?
So what can we say about the parents? They both carry solid and dilution. (Blue is diluted black.) Tabby patterns are unknown. White spotting is undeterminable, with this level homozygotes and heterozygotes are equally possible. The father can have any white spotting from no white to the highest van you've ever seen, or even full white. The female kits are black-based, so the father was black too.
Mother: Aa C_ Dd ii mcmc oo spsp titi ws_
Father: _a __ _d _i __ o- __ __ __
That's unfortunately not much information about the father, sorry. He could have been a black or a blue tabby, or solid black or blue, with or without white.

Tips for Improving Your Posture and Reducing Back Pain
Good posture is essential for maintaining a healthy spine and reducing the risk of back pain. Whether you’re working at a desk, standing, or sleeping, maintaining proper posture can prevent discomfort and enhance overall well-being. Here are some tips to help you improve your posture and reduce back pain.
Understand the Basics of Good Posture
Neutral Spine
Good posture involves maintaining the natural curves of your spine: cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), and lumbar (lower back). Avoid slouching or overarching.
Alignment
Ensure your head, shoulders, and hips are aligned. Your ears should be over your shoulders, and your shoulders should be over your hips.
Improve Your Sitting Posture
Use an Ergonomic Chair
Choose a chair that supports the natural curve of your spine. Adjust the height so your feet are flat on the floor, and your knees are at a right angle.
Support Your Lower Back
Use a small cushion or a rolled-up towel to support your lower back. This helps maintain the natural lumbar curve.
Adjust Your Workstation
Keep your computer screen at eye level to avoid neck strain. Your keyboard and mouse should be within easy reach to prevent leaning forward.
Enhance Your Standing Posture
Distribute Your Weight
Stand with your weight evenly distributed on both feet. Avoid leaning on one leg or slouching.
Engage Your Core
Tighten your abdominal muscles to support your spine. This helps maintain a neutral spine and reduces strain on your back.
Wear Supportive Shoes
Choose shoes with proper arch support. Avoid high heels or flat shoes that don’t provide adequate support.
Improve Your Sleeping Posture
Choose the Right Mattress
A medium-firm mattress supports your spine's natural alignment. Avoid mattresses that are too soft or too firm.
Use a Supportive Pillow
Your pillow should keep your neck in line with your spine. Side sleepers may need a thicker pillow, while back sleepers should use a thinner one.
Sleep Positions
Sleep on your back or side to maintain proper spine alignment. Avoid sleeping on your stomach, as it can strain your neck and lower back.
Strengthen Your Core Muscles
Exercise Regularly
Engage in exercises that strengthen your core muscles, such as planks, bridges, and abdominal crunches. A strong core supports your spine and improves posture.
Practice Yoga and Pilates
These disciplines focus on core strength, flexibility, and posture. Incorporate yoga or Pilates into your routine to enhance overall posture and reduce back pain.
Incorporate Movement Throughout the Day
Take Breaks
Avoid sitting or standing in one position for extended periods. Take short breaks every 30 minutes to stretch and move around.
Stretch Regularly
Incorporate stretches that target your neck, shoulders, back, and hips. Regular stretching helps relieve tension and maintain flexibility.
Use a Standing Desk
Consider using a standing desk or a sit-stand desk converter to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day.
Be Mindful of Your Posture
Check Your Posture
Regularly assess your posture by checking your alignment in a mirror. Make adjustments as needed to ensure you’re maintaining a neutral spine.
Use Posture Reminders
Set reminders on your phone or computer to check and correct your posture throughout the day. Posture apps and wearable devices can also help monitor your alignment.
Practice Good Posture Habits
Be mindful of your posture in everyday activities, such as walking, driving, and lifting objects. Make a conscious effort to maintain good posture in all situations.
Conclusion
Improving your posture is a crucial step in reducing back pain and enhancing your overall well-being. By incorporating these tips into your daily routine, you can support your spine, alleviate discomfort, and promote better posture habits. How do you maintain good posture? Share your tips and experiences in the comments below!

is walking and cardio in general better that exercising/lifting weights when it comes to slim down thicker legs??
i’ve always had thicker legs; when i went to the gym i told the instructor that i wanted to focus mainly on them, because i wanted them to be thinner…
i am now thinking that maybe i should skip leg exercises and focus on cardio, because i don’t want to build muscle in an area that already has a lot of fat… it would just make my legs bigger
does it makes sense?

3/9/24
I survived the funeral and all the peopling it required.
Here is my food for today. I did get a couple dog walks in, but no real "cardio". I felt drained so I took a nap. Got up and finished my book: Waisted by Randy Susan Meyers
Book summary: 7 women of mixed backgrounds go to a weight loss mansion. They realize they are getting fed amphetamines and that the film makers are working on a different project than they are told.
Kinda like the show, The Biggest Loser but book form, with an ending that ends with most women being thinner but focusing on body positivity.
I got this book because it leapt out at my the 1 time I was in my local library because they just changed their hours to close at 7 pm instead of 5 pm. For Cripes sake...it was my major pet peeve because I moved back here 5 fucking years ago and could never use the library.
So what are my thoughts? Rambling thoughts from a lonely, socially isolated person in search of connection and meaning that isn't caustic or traumatic:
I understand that thin privilege exists. The way people treat me now is different than how people treated me 120 pounds heavier. I have the same heart. I care about people very deeply, still. I just look better because I am eating less and moving more.... Yada Yada Yada.
I was lucky enough to not have a mom that criticized my body, but my dad did- constantly. His sisters were between 100-120 pounds. I hit that by 7th grade! That is also close to when the dieting started for me.
In 9th grade I was about 135-140 when I had a leg injury that didn't heal. I gained almost 20 pounds in a couple months and I never got it off after that.
By my junior year I was in the 170's. He tried to manipulate my weight class and had me eat more all summer only to realize that we couldn't jump weight classes like that so I had to crash diet from 210 to 176 in like 3 weeks. It was torture.
After that I spent some time focused on other things in High school that I had never gotten to do before.
By sophmore year of college I was 210 or higher. 220 by the time I started dating. After I got a sit down job I spiked to 240 and it was impossible to get below that for the most part, even with some severe dieting and regular exercise.
And over the year, working a desk job, you gain if your output and input don't align... as mine obviously didn't. I was eating too much. I dealt with a partner who was a diet saboteur and I did a lot of stress related emotional eating (job shit).
But realistically I was also unable to maintain a calorie deficit in a sustainable way. So the diet culture mentally that didn't help me were things like the "last meal" concept.... because the "diet starts tomorrow." "I'm on vacation" & "Cheat" meals were also bad ones. Being in party mode and over drinking was another terrible one. I would drink 4+ cocktails and eventually eat a fuckton of greasy food to cover it up... (and often puke in the process. Like I said OVERDRINKING). Using exercise to offset overeating was another one. I may think of more later.... but also having lots of junky foods in the house and going out to eat constantly didn't help.
I feel like I am doing good on my current trajectory. Healthier and healthier every day. I am super excited for this process to end tho.... it is starting to feel like "Will it ever end?"
I had some vegetables and a half sandwich at the funeral luncheon also. But here is from the lunch at a sushi/Ramen place on...
I mentioned I took a nap right? And I am about to cook dinner.

When it comes to Ratio's appearance, the first thing one might notice about him will probably be his bicep (hard not to. he just has it out there like nothing), but really I think the more striking thing about his appearance is his eyes. Though not as obviously feline in appearance as Jing Yuan's, there's something that seems distinctly, if vaguely, cat-like about them all the same. Perhaps it's the way the rings of pale gold in his inner irises pierce through the dark, or the shape of his pupils, or perhaps his stare -- regardless, there's something distinctly unsettling, even intimidating about them.
While I don't think Ratio is necessarily adverse to eye contact, I do imagine it's rather hard to get a good look at his eyes because. well. gestures to the headpiece. That, and the fact that he very much favors his personal space. But if anyone were to be fortunate enough for him to allow them to study his face, they'd find he has beautiful long lashes, and in certain lightings the maroon of his eyes seems more purple than red, and vice versa -- yet the yellow of his inner irises never changes. Somewhat in contrast to the rest of his form, the angle of his jaw, cheekbones, and the tall shape of his nose give him a rather slim face, rather than the sturdier, squarer face shape that I give Jing Yuan. His lips are also a little on the thinner side, usually set in a frown.
I somehow have a penchant for fluffy haired muses -- Jing Yuan is not my first, Ratio will definitely not be my last -- but I'm sure you all can tell from the way I draw him that his hair falls in waves; though not as curled as Jing Yuan's, without proper care and with too much humidity his hair definitely starts to curl in a more unruly, frizzy manner (common in the summer of his home) and he hates it. Mullet. Wolfcut? Whatever. Yes. Moving on.
Ratio definitely has an athletic build, with a low body fat percentage mostly due to his pickiness and aversion to heavy foods. That being said, he is very conscious about how he eats, and is as diligent in exercise as he is any of his fields of mastery. A healthy body begets a healthy mind, he'd say, and I do imagine when particularly stressed he has a bit of a tendency to be excessive in his exercise, despite his acute awareness of moderation, if only to sweat out all his agitation and have an even more rewarding bath -- another overindulgence of his. Well defined trapezius muscles, side shoulders, and strong arms, of course, both due to carrying heavy things all the time and working with stone. Otherwise, he has something of a swimmer's body; swimming is one of his preferred means of exercise, though he'll also go on runs, and yes, discus and javelin are things that he can and will indulge in on occasion, as he does appreciate traditional sports. Powerful legs! Good for swimming and walking with stone! He doesn't train so much with weights, as marble is enough of a weight on its own. Don't ask him to do boxing. Don't ask him if he does παγκράτιον (pankration) either. Those are too brutish for him. (And before you ask, no he's not very flexible. Yes, he stretches to warm up before exercising but he is also SO stressed ALL the time because of PEOPLE so his muscles tend to be quite tense. Tension headaches are, as much as he does his best to care for himself, unfortunately common)
The efforts of his labor show in his hands-- though deft (he twirls a piece of chalk between his fingers in his trailer), he does have callouses on his palms and the sides of his fingers from his chisel, hammer, and pen. I'd say his hands are slightly rough due to stonework, too, but it's not like woah, your hands are rough levels. He keeps his nails short and neat, because the buildup of chalk and marble dust underneath gets easier to manage and clean that way. No manicures/pedicures that aren't his own care, though, because he doesn't want other people touching him.
Due to how much time he spends outside, though, he's definitely got a warmer skin tone than in canon, also because I like it that way. He is a man of the coast and you can pry mediterranean Ratio from my cold dead hands.

Another episode of 'missing the forest for the trees' by taking things far too literally
And today, it's models! Specifically, Euden's models, who, when I was talking with WillofWinnie and showing how the Mega Monarch Emile fight had a mini model cutscene before, some with funny expressions looking up at him, when I could have sworn I saw something.
Gala Euden's model seemed to be tinier than Euden's. (No don't worry, this isn't going to be more of the whole 5'1 semi-joke line here from earlier!).
Here's a good example of what I mean, with 3/4 of his models in a line.
Tumblr media
See how Base Euden just, overall has a bigger frame? Than the other two. Like, his curiass more juts outward, whereas G!Euden's plate actually cuts inward to him at a spot. So then, naturally, I laid the two on top of eachother to see if one actually had a bigger presence or if my eyes were playing tricks. And while the results aren't definitive, I think base Euden has an overall bigger 'influence'.
Tumblr media
Euden's entirely subsumed his G!Euden's face, not even some of the weird expression clipping you see when you do this with some other models. The actual main part of his torso is base Euden, and while G!Euden does peek out in some spots, even they kinda get overtaken by some of og!Euden's decorations, like the orange stripe on the cloth. His legs are also almost all og!Euden.
The scales tip even more for a comparison to Bondforged vs og:
Tumblr media
Now, here's where I give the obligatory, "there's a far more rational explanation to this than a deliberate decision" in the form of helping the game run better as well as getting more experienced with creating models with more detail in less space. Take a look at the wireframe for og! and G! Euden's models. In general, less lines mean better performance (or so I understand in my very minimalistic coding understanding)
Tumblr media
(Pictured: the nightmarish Euden you can see at 3am only on Halloween if you turn around and say 'triangle Euden' 3x over...)
It's kinda hard to tell, but Gala Euden overall is a bit less dense with them in spots. WillOfWinnie confirmed that overall it seems like they got better at making wireframes with fewer vertices (though summer Euden kinda throws that out the window because, as Winnie says, more skin=harder to look good with fewer lines as the lines=/smooth, round areas well).
So there's the rational explanation for that. And of course, throw in possible stylistic shifts for how they wanted the models to look and we can pretty much put this to bed instead of a grand conspiracy.
Still. Overthinking is my hallmark.
And all I can say is that it's great unintentional angst fodder that would fit nicely within the canon story. Euden's suddenly been thrust into leading a new nation in war, reeling from his only surviving parent's death and struggling to deal with the rest of his siblings for one reason or another (even if most weren't close). He's also doing vastly more exercise than whatever sword training he did at the castle between actually fighting in battles, traveling, and shapeshifting and thus expending a lot more energy.
Between that and other little differences in the models (Euden actually gets paler for his summer art and continues this into Bondforged, as you can kinda see in the face for og vs bonds overlay) is it any wonder that he might've grown a bit thinner from all that stress and constant work? My boy is out here collapsing a bit too often, it seemed, in stories too. Maybe he just wasn't eating enough to upkeep with all the crazy shenanigans going on if he was trying to temper his eating so Cleo didn't have to deal with yet another young man with the appetite of an elephant with Ranzal and Luca?
As me and my friend were injecting a bit of levity: "Maybe that's why his belt fits perfectly in his og model but all the ones after it he's got plenty extra" and "no wonder his summer trunks look like they're about to fall off without the belt: he went shopping with his previous last known sizes from before he left the castle" as further 'proof' of this obviously false theorem.
But hey, as Winnie said: "Pretty neat it can line up like that, intentional or no". And that really says it all.
Bonus round: Gotta give the award for 'most unfitting belt on Euden' to this concept art of him in the official artbook, though. I mean look at they are compared to where his body actually is! (I do like the little butterfly in the background crystal art though, aside from the whole black vs. white and red edginess).

it’s a late night rambling about life stuff night. tumblrs basically an echo chamber for me so I don’t mind lol.
content warning for discussion of fatphobia & what could be considered disordered eating. stay safe if this does reach anyone at all <3
it’s crazy to me how I, fortunately, was able to grow up with very little internalized homophobia and to have had such positive representation and acceptance primarily on the internet but also irl. I consider myself a very rebellious person who won’t let anyone invalidate me when it comes to stuff like that. I love being a lesbian, I’m not ashamed to be asexual. That’s me and I know I’m valid. I love who I am in that regard.
But god damn on the opposite side of things internalized fatphobia has not nearly been as easy for me. I guess I gained exposure to it so young and so directly it makes sense but it’s everywhereee. Weight loss ads on the tv, not finding clothing sizes in stores or their patterns being carelessly made so they don’t fit, seats in theaters not fitting my legs, the lack of representation, the hatred and immediate association with “ugliness” or “failure” from so many close minded and unkind people, direct bullying even like a month ago.
like when I was in *preschool* I remember daydreaming about the stuff a stereotypical little girl does— princesses, magic, all that, and at five years old, in my own imagination, I’d stop and tell myself “I don’t look like me. I look like another girl who’s prettier because she’s not fat.” FIVE YEARS OLD
I just have so much grief for that little girl and just everyone who might have ever had to go through it. Bodies are treated like trends and so oversexualized and some people would rather wish for someone to harm themself than be unable to sexualize a thin body. And at five years old I didn’t believe I could be pretty unless I lost weight.
Caring so much about it is against my values. I don’t care what society says about my sexuality or interests! But I do care about this. And it sucksssss because why should it matter? What if my healthiest self is the heaviest? What if I don’t work out anymore because it became a form of self-punishment? Why should anyone get to comment on my health??? Why is my body any of your business??? It’s so disgusting not to even mention all of the overlaps with ableism, the impacts it has on the trans community, and fatphobia’s roots stemming from racism. Why is it regarded as so normal? Why are we making five year olds in preschool sitting in a circle on the mat on the floor daydream about being thinner so they could be pretty enough to be part of a story? I’m an adult and I still envy thin people so much. I want to have this confidence boost and wear things they are but I’ve been taught that my body looks wrong in them.
I’m genuinely trying to unlearn all of this. Again idk if anyone’s gonna read this but I feel like being open because I know it would help me to know I’m not alone. There are plus sized and fat-bodied individuals who look like me and I think they are so so beautiful and I don’t ever criticize them the way I do myself and I don’t understand why I’m so unkind to myself.
I’m gonna try to stop having such a negative relationship with food and scrutinizing myself. I’m not going to focus on exercising and burning calories but instead moving my body so that I feel good. I share the image of sculptures of Greek goddesses and the fact I am nourished and have energy is something to celebrate. I have a body that naturally gains and retains weight. I don’t want to spend my life fighting it and hating myself trying to chase love that I deserve to be shown without conditions. I am a human being. I am alive and my body is the least interesting thing about me.
