that being said, im into the series almost entirely for the story cause i uhm. i. ive never played a tekken game in my life??😅 i fell down a rabbit hole mid last year and watched and read a bunch of stuff, but ive never touched a game personally!! i didnt have them growing up, i dont have but like 2 gaming consoles and no one to play with anyway, everything i know and care about is entirely from looking into it obsessively 😭😭 im here like scared to post this because i dont want to destroy my credibility or anything especially since im planning such a big fic, but like!! you have to deep dive to get story for real in these games anyway so!!

he saw his fair share of noblemen riding their well groomed stallions and duchesses feeding their ponies sugar cubes, yet he didn't really pay much attention to it

upon mentioning it for the first time he's gonna be like 🤨 immediately associating it with the nobles and their pretentious version of the sport, only to realize it isn't as black-and-white as he made it out to be

i wouldn't really call tonio a person who's rlly good with animals tbh

like? it isn't that he hates animals, in fact it's quite the opposite, he just isn't made for taking care of them

will still bring some apples or carrots for your horse(s) okok‼️

although he mostly leaves you at peace while you do horseriding, considering it your way of relaxing and calming yourself, sometimes he'll come by the fence and watch you

will help you get on your horse if needed and assist you as much as he can with equipment and getting ready!

also thinks you look really hot attractive in your equestrian uniform ,, he's gonna discreetly whisper it into your ear as he helps you mount your horse and enjoy watching you turn red every time you two make eye contact as you ride... hehe.....

aight listen this man is a herpetologist. he spent minimum 4 years inspecting scaly little creatures. petite marble eyed beasts, if you will. everything but a four legged man sized mammal

not to mention horses are scared of him considering how HUGE he is (which makes him sad :c)

he has no knowledge on horses or anything horse-related but he's more than willing to drop his reptile studies for some time

he's a man who's naturally brimming with curiosity, if he finds something interesting enough he's going to pull an all nighter just to research it

at this point his initially small research on equestrian sports & horses became a little hyperfix of his just bc of you <3

he would definetly sprinkle in some horse biology/anatomy facts as you two spend time near the stables

alva is (suprisingly... or not?) a big fan of animals, and horses just happen to be one of his favourite ones

he finds them so majestic and graceful, yet most horses run away from him since his presence is quite intimidating (especially considering his body is quite literally a fully-charged electrical conductor) and throws them off guard

if you get lucky and your horse doesn't run away the second he gets near he'd gladly pet it if you let him!!!

he is NOT riding them though. no way in hell he's too tall + he'd just make the horses even more nervous

so he's just going to stay aside and enjoy watching you spend your time doing what you love :))

you'll find him visiting the stable(s) self-initiatively, bringing in snacks for them and such !!! he can't help it ok !!!

this man often has an unreal urge to baby you (not in an infantilizing way or something - he just does stuff for you which you could easily do yourself, it's kind of his love language) he's going to insist on buttoning up your blazer and helping you mount the horse, doing such mundane activities with/for you makes him feel better and more present in your life

here and there you'll find him silently inspecting your equipment, slowly twirling and folding the whip and touching the leather surface of the saddle

he never goes with you when you have training, but as you ride you'll often catch a glimpse of him watching you train from the shadows

I literally feel you, I'm a hyperfixated girlie so I think about him all the time too. but I find writing to be a very therapeutic, healthy way to deal with it. like it takes my energy and brain power to cohesively write through my thoughts, obviously that's not gonna work for everyone, but for me it's been really helpful. I also just got really lucky in the people I hang out with knowing thg and liking Finnick, even if it's not the same level.

but girlie I feel you, I tried shifting for a while too, which never worked for me. but I think about him all the time, need him in my life and it sucks to think that'll never happen. also, I think it can be helpful, since the way we all perceive Finnick is so loving and caring, if you can think about him and it helps you take care of yourself then that's a good thing too. idk life is hard when you get hyperfixated onto fictional men, but we would hug you so tight and remind you to take care of yourself which is honestly a need to think about.

carnivores! the funny dinosaur hunting game! i've been working on a concept for a reboot of the original game for, no joke, 7 entire fucking years lmfao. that's ticking in the back of my head quite a bit, slowly adding to my game design documents.

the many primal carnage extinction maps i am making, which are eating up wayyy too much of my time at the moment and 100% affecting my uni productivity. whoops. regardless you are definitely gonna see a hell of a lot of those going forwards because i have a lot to show and a lot to say. this is the deep level of "i am putting hundreds of hours into projects that hardly anyone cares about" lmao.

Okay i feel like I'm cheating but 5&1/2 Minute Hallway by Poe means so so much to me. The song is meant to be paired with the book House of Leaves (spoilers but the song plays inside the book, adding to that mindfucky unreality that reassemblez Goncharov).

Like, holy shit. What can i say bout the five and a half minute hallway that hasn't been said already. The House represents the mental state of a person, and a person could lose themselves (physically or mentally) if traversing inside it too long. This manifests through impossible architecture (THE HOUSE IS QUARTER OF AN INCH LARGER ON THE INSIDE THAN ON THE OUTSIDE WHAT THE FUCKKKKK) like the impossibly long hallway in a supposedly regular surburban house

So yeah the song is about the House and a person going through it. And maybe about someone who tries to reach them?

"But there's only so far i can go, when you're living in a hallway that keeps growing. I think to myself, five more minutes and I'll be there"

BUT YOU SEE. AT THE SECOND CHORUS IT CHANGES FROM FIVE MINUTES TO 30 SECONDS. SYMBOLISING THE SINGER IS GETTING CLOSER-

At the end of the day, the story is very up to interpretations (usually horror. Which yeah fair) , but i am always filled with a sense of warmth when it is interpreted as a love story.

Ooh. That will def be Sarah Come Home by Allie X. It has this really sweet (and a tinge of sad?) vibe to it that definitely reminds me of my younger self. Specifically the lyrics:

I know that it's likely been a while but do you still remember what you had planned for that Kakegurui/Yugioh au? I would love to hear about it.

Woah it's been a hot minute since that crossover has been on mind! I'll share some of my plans without spoiling too much, since I still wanna get back to it sometime.

As of now the story mostly follows the plot of the original Kakegurui series, XX, and some elements from Twin with some changes here and there, since I still want to keep the yugioh characters somewhat true to their original personalities.

Now, for a quick rundown on some of the characters!

Muto Yugi and Shobami Yamiko are the protagonist and the deuteragonist, respectively. This is mostly shown by us (the audience) always being able to hear Yugi's inner monologue, but only hearing Yami's thoughts through Yugi, when it's clear they're doing their weird wordless language (kind of like Yobami and Inbami). The two of them are almost creepily close with each other, always groking the other's intentions to an unnerving degree. Is their relationship romantic? Platonic? Or some secret other option? No one really knows, including them! They're too busy hyperfixating on their next gambling match to think about that! The story basically follows Yami dragging Yugi down into an adrenaline driven crazy gambling addiction, but unlike with Yumeko and Ryota, it's going to happen a lot faster and it's not just gonna come out of nowhere in the last moment. Now for our Saotome Meari stand in, Jonouchi Katsuya. Like Saotome, Jonouchi is very proud and essentially rules his class at one point. He originally came to the school for some quick cash to pay off his father's constantly increasing debt. There was a point in his life when he was forced to become a house pet in the service of a certain student council member for a week, but after successfully raising enough money to buy himself out under the span of three days, he became extremely popular as a self made gambling genius. Most people in school either respect or fear him, and despite not coming from a rich background like most other students, he has an unreal amount of influence over the student body. Or rather had. After Yami beat him and put him in debt with the council again, his resolve alongside his reputation has been dwindling. Right now, he's getting more desperate by the day to pay off his debt, desperate enough to ally himself with a housepet and the very man who put him in this situation to begin with.

And now, for the main rival, the student council president, Kaibami Seto. Honestly, you guys probably expected this, lol. This character will be wildly different from Momobami Kirari though, 'cause well, this is Kaiba we're talking about. He's not gonna have that careless, seductive, whimsy, murderous vibe Kirari has. He's gonna be equally intense as he is in yugioh, I literally can't imagine him in any other way. Throughout the story, Yami and his friends will work their way through each of the council members through gambling matches, like in the show, until they reach Kaibami. Kaibami is a lot more present than Kirari, but he's still elusive and very closed off. He finds it extremely annoying that his supposedly unbeatable and highly influential councilmen are falling like flies in Yami's way and he often takes it out on his poor office (true to Kakegurui I also made him more dramatic lol). Once him and Yami finally confront each other, they have a life or death outcome gambling match, but funnily enough Yami loses interest near the end of the game, because Kaibami has become predictable to him and he doesn't find their game exciting anymore or worth the stakes. Yami makes the proper moves to end the match in a draw and leaves Kaibami in the dust. Kaibami has the most dramatic meltdown of his life, and if he wasn't already obsessed with Yami enough, he swears vengeance and murder against him. Shortly after this word gets out to the Kaibami family of Seto's incompetence and unstability and the other clans send their spawns to the academy for a new student council election.

To be continued! Obviously, this is just an extremely simplified version of the story, and there are so many other characters I still want to introduce! Like the Bakura triplets, the council members, and the other clans, but most stuff dedicated to the au is still only in my brain unfortunately XD

Omg you are so so welcome!!! YTTD is still such a big hyperfixation for me and I'm always super happy to get people into the things I'm interested in!!! (I'm trying to get more of the irl friends to play it too but persuading people is hard)

Honestly I do just really like visual novels as a genre, I think because I really like stories and the mystery visual novels I've played have always just really drawn me in. Genuinely Ace Attorney and Danganronpa are both so great and I think they were fully there to shove me into full hyperfixation for YTTD when my best friend decided we were gonna play it (not weird, we play a lot of games together, especially visual novels).

But I'm like so glad you liked YTTD cause, well I have such a hyperfixation on it, it's unreal and I'm actively planning some aus with it (which is a bit funny because I had originally watched upto the first trial and didn't think much of it, and when playing myself was very unsure up until the practice vote but then like BOOM the practice vote scene happened and I loved it and immediately wanted to create an au for it).

And I'm super happy that you're checking out visual novels in general! I definitely recommend Ace Attorney and Danganronpa if you want kinda mystery focused puzzle games

How did I hyperfixate on him while his ten plus closer to my age children exist? I don't know. I wish I did. But there are few who are manic about Bruce like I am it sucks

I'm gonna ramble a lot so, sorry in advance. 

Hard agree anon. It's funny because again I agree that, maybe it's my feed, but it's hard to find people on this site who are into Bruce's character outside of analyzing his personality and characteristics and life choices, or who aren't blatantly or passively shitting on him.

Like one half of me wants to puff up and defend Bruce when people make posts that intentionally or unintentionally knock on Bruce's character, but the other half is just resigned because...yeah I get it. Bruce has done stuff in Canon that makes me want to pull my hair out. So why do I still love him more than any of the other batfamily member combined?

I think it's many things, and while I could go on a rant about how much I see myself in him I won't (it's literally that I don't perceive meme lol), Bruce to me feels like a character perpetually unrealized. He's a character that, despite being around for a really long time, hasn't felt like he's lived to his fullest potential in my opinion at least. And despite being closer to my age range, the robins/bat girls just don't hold my attention. I know people like them due to their age range and complex interpersonal storylines between other teen characters (i.e. the titans) and Parental figures (i.e. Bruce, Alfred, Talia maybe?) 

Like take out the superhero stuff and people will usually relate to something in the boys and girl's many storylines. However, I just can't see myself in them, most of their personalities are completely opposite of mine, and like I just can't relate to all of that sibling angst. Despite the huge difference in age, Bruce's struggle with expressing his emotions speaks to me. That said, it's understandable that some people don't like Bruce as much due to how much his positive and negative choices have affected the lives of the robins and the bat girls.

Sympathizing with him can get really frustrating, adding onto the fact that his character has flip flopped so much over the years to where anyone can look at Bruce and come back with a different viewpoint. 

Again, apologies for the long rambling. It's hard to get my thoughts on Bruce coherent enough in writing. 

TLDR: It's understandable why people prefer the robins/bat girls over Bruce, but I think he is still a character with a goldmine of potential that is overlooked due to inconsistent writing by DC, and really overdue for some lasting character growth, plus I just emotionally relate to him more and I preferred father characters over mother ones sue me.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

i'll just be blunt. i'm surprised as hell that i can write 😂

i've been reading fic for literal decades but did not write a single word because i didn't think i could or that it would be worth anything - until three years ago, when safff conned me into trying nanowrimo. as most nanos go, i wrote 3K in a daze and never touched it again - but i was like, hey, this isn't total garbage! if i had ideas that were any good, then maybe they'd turn out okay

and then in june i watched this stupid show which ruined my life in literally every way possible and i was going certifiably insane and all the words were festering in my head and i was like fuck. fuck! FINE i'll write them down. and now i'm twelve fics and thousands of words of meta in and i feel kind of stupid because i was the only person in my own way for years. it's ok tho. i've never been so creatively inspired in my life and that's a hell of a motivator. where's that one post that's like, the best way to become better at art is to become completely hyperfixated on a piece of media? yeah, that's me.

this reads like a humble brag. i don't know how to not make it sound like that. i just - if you're someone who's always thought about writing, just try. if you have an idea, give it a shot. i've got tons of words in docs that are never going to see the light of day because i have written plenty of words i don't like. but the ones i did like brought me a lot of joy, and apparently brought a lot of joy to yall too. i'm very grateful for that. i would like to keep writing for a long time. i enjoy writing tremendously, and i made a lot of friends along the way ❤️

Ever since I got finished w my compulsory education I've been so hyperfixated on tattoos its unreal. There's so many things I want. My dream tattoos (so ignoring what's physically possible) are:

Tiny simplistic angel wings on my back

A sun somewhere (small, simplistic. MAYBE with a moon, but me and my partner plan to get matching tattoos, but all of them are things we identify with alone in case something happened between us because matching tattoos can be iffy)

A peach (small, simplistic) (maybe with a mango)

Swatches of green (it's my favorite color)

A beetle (a little one I think too)

...Klance tattoo. I know this is an awful idea, that's why I'm gonna wait like a decade to get it if I still want it. I just want the red and blue paladin logos with each other.

A pawprint (I'd like a simple one as well as one of my current dog who is my first dog, she's kinda old so I'd like one of her before she dies)

Sometimes my gf is gonna wanna yell into my void here and who am I to deny the urge to scream? Cafe updates will be posted here too for those of our patrons who want to know the latest before coming in. That said, I'm guessing y'all want more elaboration on the title of this blog. Me and my gf managed to break free of Giovanni's grip with the help of some of our, ahem, gifted patrons. Now we run the cafe together and live on the non-cafe floor! We have an eevee as our companion. He has no desire to evolve, and that's best for all of us because I'm used to normal types as you can imagine. You might be asking why we have no rattata. Seeing as we get to be free from crime, we decided that our rattatas should get to choose if they wanna start a new chapter in their lives with someone else too. Both of them went to a reputable shelter to find someone to live with without worrying about TR sending people after them. As for the space and time thing? Here's a phrase I've learned to use a good amount: Don't worry about it.

just had the most epic realization ever. it’s epic only to me but maybe somebody else will also enjoy it.

ok so have you ever listened to the album Superorganism? by the band Superorganism? if you haven’t, you should. ok basically it’s like my favorite album, no i don’t know what kind of music it is, no i haven’t listened to any of their other stuff, no i don’t even really know how i got into it. not the point. the point is i absolutely love this album from start to finish and for a while it was like my comfort music. like whenever i wasn’t feeling good i’d listen to it and be better, it helped prevent a lot of panic attacks. the main issue being it had such a specific vibe and theme i couldn’t imagine my stupid hyperfixation-themed brain-amv’s (my usual way of enjoying music) bc nothing i liked matched the vibe at ALL. at least nothing i liked enough to do that with it.

i had such a specific idea in mind- it would have to be a piece of media with some kind of simulation or hivemind or general unreality stuff as the dominant Thing Happening. and i didn’t know of anything like that. (that i liked very much)

and then just now i was just listening to one of those spotify playlists they generate with stuff you like? which i haven’t done in a while and the first song in Superorganism came on and i was like wait. hold on. oh my god. literally my most recent hyperfixation. it’s perfect.

anyways go listen to Superorganism by Superorganism and think about jrwi blood in the bayou. thank me later. or ignore this, that works just fine as well.

(btw if you’re gonna check it out, be careful if you’re sensitive to loud sudden noises bc there’s a lot of that in most of the songs)

i think the thing that really draws me to ks is that thing that old fics used to do all the time but i don't seen as much anymore, where they both care for the enterprise above all, they both love space so much, it's like a hyperfixation. how instead of that fixation making your partner resent you for "caring more" about that thing than about them, for taking up so much of your time and your mental space and energy, they instead share that love with you and instead of pushing you apart it's what brings you closer together. i just love that for them, i think it's so sweet and it works so well with their characters

and how, after all those years being together, kirk doesn't even hesitate to give up the enterprise for spock, because even though once upon a time they would have sacrificed each other for the ship and crew, now they're each other's whole universe, and their love is the most important thing. i am so soft
