There’s the usual “he’s a war criminal who only felt bad about it when he realized his weapons were killing white Americans as well as Arab people” reason, and also he’s just super annoying. You had to be there for the original Avengers shitty dialogue a la “we have a Hulk” that had Tumblr in a vicious chokehold. Also he was supposed to FINALLY go away after destroying all his suits in Iron Man 3 but he just… didn’t! Which is bullshit.

Tony is so annoying. When they first meet he straight up bullies Peter into fighting for his personal bullshit, insults and objectifies Aunt May in front of him, spits into his trashcan and is in general being pushy af. He blackmails Peter when he doesn’t wanna come to Germany with him AND HE DOESNT EVEN EXPLAIN WHY HE WANTS HIM TO COME. Uncomfortable vibes lol.

Tony being the one to tell peter “if Captain America wanted to hurt you he would’ve” when Peter was trying to state his case, yet HE’S also the one who put Peter in harms way when he didn’t even want to go with him???

Telling Peter that he should stick to being a “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” (stealing his thing once again) when that’s what Peter _was_ doing before Tony took him out of his zone and filled his head with grander things to be apart of….bitch? Die. Ohh waaaait (jkjk) but yeah

Thinking about how in Homecoming when Peter accidentally caused that boat to get split in half because the Vulture’s gun exploded and Tony was acting like as if Peter was completely in the wrong for going there just because he did it without his permission. He was acting like as if Peter was out of line and “disobeyed him”, trying to act like his father. And then I remember how in CACW he’s the one who scouted Peter in the first place just because he saw he might be useful against a personal squabble between him and Captain America despite knowing that he was a kid and he’s just now acknowledging how dangerous it is because Peter “acted on his own”

Completely hijacking Peter’s superhero story and trying to control his every move (Training wheels protocol and baby monitor thing he put in the suit), acting like Peter should’ve known that Tony would send someone in despite the fact that he’d been ignoring him for 2 months since Civil War and not keeping him updated on anything!!

How the hell is peter supposed to know Tony is going to listen to him when he treats him like a kid instead of a superhero when it’s convenient for him? And when Tony loses his temper after Peter says he’s 15 not 14 like “the adult is talking” bitch he could literally flatten you without your suit!!!

I guess in a way he is acting like a father but like the absentee kind. He’s more like a sperm donor father trying to act like he has any rights over Peter’s life smh.

It’s not that reprimanding Peter for the situation is bad, but the way he makes it seem as if Peter is irredeemable as if Tony wasn't a literal weapons dealer lmfao. He could’ve said what was the truth about it without completely invalidating him saying shit like “no thanks to you” after Peter asked if everyone is okay when it’s literally thanks to Peter finding a lead on those guys in the first place that they were even noticed and it’s not like the FBI being there could’ve in no way caused a similar situation.

And then near the end of the movie when he’s getting crushed by the building rubble screaming and crying for someone to help him where the fuck is Tony?? That scene just proved that he never needed Tony’s suit in the first place to be Spider-Man since he had to use 100% his own strength to lift it off of him. I know he would’ve found the motivation even if Tony hadn’t been involved in the first place to give him the suit, take it away from him and have the words “if you’re nothing without the suit you shouldn’t have it“ echo in his head. Why did Tony even take the suit away? Like as if he expects Peter to stop being spoderman without it??? Holy fuck. This is why you don’t make it out of endgame /j /srs.

When Tony took this suit away from Peter he was like “God I sound like my dad“ shouldn’t that be a red flag to him? Wasn’t he literally just saying that he wished his dad was better than he was?? Lmfao

Propaganda why Victor Frankenstein is insufferable:

Victor Frankenstein is so pathetic not even tumblr could love him. The best parts of Frankenstein are the ones where your blessedly saved from being in his whiny, self deprecating, self centered pov. He’s so conceited that when his creation tells him directly “In revenge for killing the wife you were making for me I’m going to kill YOUR wife to see how YOU like it!”, Victor Frankenstein thinks that the creation is going to kill him and *only* him. (A decision And on top of it, he’s a shitty dad. Truly the worst.

so a lot of people have been saying that this next extra song is going to be sung by hyuna. I have a couple theories as to why it's not hyuna. (they get more and more deranged as you progress.)

1 - hyuna already has two extra songs: love and peace & drunk and party. (listen to both of them they're really good)

now, is it possible that hyuna could be getting a third extra song and that VIVIMENG are just feeding us hyuna content to make up for her death? yes. a possibility. however, there's something else that might point to it being someone else other than hyuna.

2 - the girl's skin is too pale to be hyuna. but there's a possibility that the lighting is just making her skin paler than normal. however, I think that point 1 and the following points outweigh the possibility of whitewashed hyuna being true.

3 - now, my theory: I think that sua's getting her own extra song next. my reasons are listed below:

3a - Ivan and hyuna are the only people so far to have extra songs. what do Ivan and hyuna have in common? they're dead. who else is dead? sua.

3b - it would make perfect sense for sua to "recreate the extinct concept of love"—it's well known that she was owned by a segyein who had multiple other pets that looked just like her. and those other pets didn't treat sua well due to the fact that she was nigeh's favorite.

hence, sua would have known what love was like in theory but not in practice—thereby making love something "extinct" (extinct implies that it was once there but not there anymore) and something needing to be "recreated" (sua learns how to love again with her finding mizi).

3c - just like how the lighting could make hyuna's skin appear paler, the lighting could also make sua's hair appear brown, as seen in this official art seen on the left—note the ends, which appear gold/brown when in the light:

it's also important to note that sua's hair normally contains the color blue (right image). if my theory was true, the lighting composition could then imply that sua is in a happier place—which obviously, she is, because she's rediscovering love. blue, specifically pale blue, (not dark blue—that's Ivan) is also generally associated with sua, as seen by numerous other official arts:

so it would make sense for this art, which also contains pale blue, to potentially be tied to sua.

3d - VIVIMENG just hasn't done a lot with sua lately. it would make sense for this to be a sua revival, because hyuna and luka have been getting so much attention, and before that, Ivan and till.

4 - the girl's hair falls past her chin. sua's hair, throughout all her main depictions, has been exactly chin length, or fallen just past her chin. however, there is one picture where her hair is not this length.

her period in anakt garden when she grew her hair out to start modeling. and we should note that in the corner, it says that "a confused mizi experiencing a new emotion for the first time." what is that emotion? love. it's love.

What was the point expecting anything other than dry bones for Millie, Loona even. Vivienne going as far making this bloody long thread (post at the end) hyping people up what she's got in store for Millie when we all know how she writes. Anything written for Millie or Loona or whatever female character is not really for them. Everything written for them has to 1 tie somehow in to a male character & 2 whats written for them ultimately developes a male character more.

Two instances in the latest episode. First instance:

Loona and Millie finally interacting that doesn't have to do with work or saving the other 2 (dorks episode). And what was their conversation about...Moxxie. Millie asking her to look after him. Which understandable Millie feels she has a lot on her plate having to deal with both of them at the same time but it comes back to their "development" comes centered around a man & furthering their character.

Side tangent on how their "development" developing male character more:

From this whole thing of Millie taking a client job what I learned about Moxxie is that he does the businesses finances, he overworks himself so much he 'shuts down' in highly stressful situations especially when its beyond his control or limits, he regrets he didn't become a theatre critic.

What I learnt about Millie, she cares for Blitz & Moxxie (know this), she actually has some sort of relationship with Loona (kind of this but its logical she would have). What I learnt on Loona, she's caring dispite her tough put on persona (definitively know this), she's smart as she picked up Moxxie didn't calculate properly (didn't know this but never doubted her intelligence really).

I learnt 3 new things about Moxxie and Millie & Loona just more examples of things I already know about them because it was said about them or things I never doubted they had already naturally.

Second instance:

Millie's backstory. Her whole backstory only came about because of Blitz, because of his hallucinations she brought up her backstory as a means of comfort to HIM.

Breaking apart her backstory, yeah she doesn't owe Blitz shit nor should apologise for this:

Blitz who we seen throughout the series has done a lot of respecting towards her and her husband.

Listing the "respecting" and not a full list only what I remember

*Episode 1 constantly mistreating and physically hurting her husband, end of the episode going as far making a rape threat towards both of them.

*Episode 2 having explicit sexual fantasies about the two of them at work knowing they've in a monogamous relationship & they established that firmly.

*Episode 5 constantly invalidates her husband in front of her & her family, doesn't show him an ounce of respect ever here.

*Episode 7 stalks them on a date the two of them planned, even after Moxxie verbally told him not to, he disregarded their boundaries in all regards

And so on and so forth so this line girl no.

You cannot establish multiple times Blitz was nothing but a piece of shit towards them then all of a sudden flip it that he actually saved her, gave her a good life ect and then have her say sorry dispite all previously established in show.

I know this show runs on having you "forget" what was previously established because its written like a bad fanfic but come on now its getting really ridiculous.

Vivienne YOU don't understand Millie or rather want to understand her more, only when you do is to when it comes to building your male characters more and just like the previous episodes, she fit the bill nicely developing Moxxie and Blitz further, Blitz more so. No amount of solid writing in this episode from Brandon and Waters can save the mess that is before this episode.

Absolutely! I have no idea how long this has been sitting in our askbox collecting dust because I have no memory of getting it, but hopefully it hasn't been long! Lmao.

You are incredibly right about plurality being too complex to simply say "yeah endos exist" or "yeah no they don't," hard agree.

The nuances of our beliefs actually deviate a little from person to person in our system, some of us have our own little theories and opinions, but here are some things we all agree on:

1. Endogenic formation probably isn't a thing.

2. If the common summary of current research one day shows definitively that it is? We'd be totally chill with that.

3. regardless of whether endogenic system formation is real, harassing or fakeclaiming ANYONE is revolting behavior. I don't wanna see nobody doing that shit. Cause I'll call ya out.

4. I am civil with endos and will not invalidate their experience of plurality because my own beliefs. Will I debate with an endo? Totally, if they initiate first. So there seems to be two schools of thought within endogenic circles.

A. I am endogenic and disordered

B. I am endogenic and experiencing functional multiplicity.

I believe this discrepancy can simply be explained by endos not realizing that they have trauma on account of having the "don't remember, be plural" disorder. A truly shocking side effect of having a disorder that separates parts of the brain with literal amnesia, the "don't remember" disorder, is that you... don't remember!

Also, if you are familiar with the dearly beloved Elizabeth Kübler-Ross, the first stage of grief is denial. When you are traumatized at a young age, you grieve a lot of things. A childhood, your sense of normalcy, your ability to live life without fear? You grieve. That is okay. It is never wrong to grieve, my friends.

To put my own system forward as an example: I, as our host, did not know where the system came from for many, many years.

Complex question, but I appreciate that about the question. Is it beneficial to endogenics to be in plural spaces, yes! The sooner they are exposed to nuanced opinions and fellow plural folks, the sooner they're likely to realize that not knowing where their system came from isn't necessarily causation, it's correlation.

Is it beneficial to traumagenics for endos to be in plural spaces? Probably not. These people are in a state of denial, and most traumagenics are looking to achieve a state of acceptance with their plurality. They don't need people in stage one holding them back.

A Long Rant About The Koffin Trio

Note: So, this is my first (really) long post about this fangame, and to be honest, I was debating whether or not to even publish it. I still decided to do it since not a lot of folks talk about ts!underswap, and I wanted to give my two cents regarding my three favorite characters.

More important note: If you think it's gonna trigger you to read about Harry/Larry and Harry/Larry/KK as a found family, better click off this post. Maybe it's my inner aroace speaking, but I personally don't see the romantic appeal at all. Good for you if you do! I'm not trying to invalidate anyone's opinion; diversity is great after all :)

For those of you who are still here, I will start off by saying this:

Harry and Larry depend on Count Koffin-K for so much. I'm tempted to say EVERYTHING.

He genuinely feels like their father figure. I mean, this sentient fedora gave them a job while they were both living lives that were... bad.

He isn't cruel when they do something stupid and instead just looks deadpan. Sure, Koffin-K's not a perfect boss; he yells at the two of them and insults them (dude really needs to work on his temper), but I found it sweet how both Harry and Larry felt safe enough to tell him the truth here, which to me counts for something (pun intended) ↓

He even pranks them sometimes ↓

Koffin may not be perfect (he's gotta keep up the "evil" persona) but at least he 1) tries to give Harry and Larry a hint that he cares for them (has them both secretly do his laundry without them telling each other) 2) actually admits that he cares for them both equally (in his own way) 3) attempts to solve their disagreement despite him not gaining anything out of it

How they met is also interesting to me.

Based on their backstory, Harry and Larry were clearly hesitant to work for Koffin, but when they actually started the job the next day, I imagine that their conversation went something like this (either during the first day or at some point early on in their career):

H: "Larry, he could be like the dad we never had and provide for us and we could have all da money that we never did, see?"

L: "Huhuhu, yeah! Don't forgets da food!"

...and that's how the parade float came to be. I think Koffin secretly appreciates they made it, even though he says how he wanted the thing "as far away as possible" right after saying this line ↓

He also makes this face later on at the festival when he sees the float again cause it reminds him that the three of them are a family despite Harry and Larry getting on his nerves half the time but I can't include the screenshot bc of the picture limit

Heck, the two even built their house outside the keep, which to me suggests that they don’t ever plan on leaving Koffin.

Harry does mention his mother, and we learn that he's into embroidery (both making me think he's a a 'mama's boy'; maybe she taught him how to embroider)...

...but even on the ts!us wiki, the only relationship dynamic the two have is with Koffin-K himself.

Weirdly enough, we only know that Harry has a mom, but not a dad

Even though he was definitely unaware of this, Koffin liked Harry and Larry FOR BEING THEMSELVES. This is really important to me.

He saw something in them that others did not, even if it was initally just "your names rhyme and you give me the 'goofy henchmen' vibe." He sees them both as useful for what he needs them for. It may not be much, but it's exactly what Koffin's looking for.

In other words:

Exactly why Harry and Larry are so loyal to Koffin-K is unknown, but based on my interpretation, it has to do with 1) them desperately needing a father figure/someone to rely on 2) Koffin giving Harry and Larry a home, food, money, and a job that also allows them to slack off and finally enjoy life, and 3) him making them feel needed. Maybe not appreciated, even though he subtly tried to, but definitely needed. Serving under him became their purpose.

In other words, I think they're so loyal because Koffin "chose" them, even if he did that subconsciously.

Harry got the chance to be more than just a janitor. Imo, he was hesitant to work for Koffin at first because he was afraid that he would lose the only sense of security he had. I think he lived with his mom at the time, considering his low-wage job This explains why he wants to be rich (to make up for all the things he couldn't afford).

It also explains why Larry loves food so much (he literally slept under a dumpster bag and if he was both homeless AND unemployed, it would mean that he had to either be a beggar or eat from the trash. Either way, eating good food was out of the question.

It's also possible that Larry had a janitor job just like Harry (but unlike him, nowhere to live). I say that he might have been a janitor, since Koffin mentions how they could both do better than mopping floors forever, but maybe it was just an assumption on Koffin's side.

Whatever the case, their lives sucked.

There was also this one moment I wanna talk about, where Larry called Koffin-K stupid, and Harry pretty much agreed. So I asked myself why they reacted this way.

Maybe because it was easier to convince themselves that they didn't care about their boss than deal with the fact that he (maybe) always saw them as nothing but 'lowly servants'.

Seriously, Harry said out loud what they both wanted most of all. And that something was for Koffin-K to value them. This was more important to them than money and food COMBINED, considering their entire arc was about learning that Koffin needed them both equally

Maybe they were worried about getting fired, but I honestly don't think Koffin ever wanted to do that to them, no matter how many times they messed up.

Maybe they didn't want to be honest and admit to Koffin that he's a total dumbass so they wouldn't get in trouble with him. I mean, they did want to gain his validation/appreciation/approval/love, so it makes sense that they would do anything to get and remain in his good books.

I think the third scenario is the most likely one, tbh.

Might be a nitpick, but notice how Harry and Larry are walking next to each other here, but Koffin-K's at the back, just sorta... isolated, like he's not their equal? This is why I'd rather see him as their father figure than an older brother. The way I look at it, the oldest sibling is usually in charge, yeah, but there's still a level of closeness and familiarity between the siblings, whereas Harry and Larry hardly know anything about Koffin-K, ESPECIALLY how lonely he really is. Koffin's the one who gave them a purpose, became their boss, and as a result, they began looking up to him. In contrast, the two spend 24/7 together, bicker, and are practically inseparable, like brothers

Larry also explains how Koffin-K doesn't like leaving his study, but clearly neither Harry nor Larry reflected on why that is and just assumed it's because Koffin's 'stupid.' This reaction kinda rubbed me the wrong way at first, but then I remembered both of these dudes are street rats who don't know any better.

Look, I know the Boogiemen were supposed to fit this common "goofy villain's sidekicks" trope, but both of them clearly grew up in poor conditions, have daddy issues (imo), and feel worthless/useless.

That's why they want Koffin-K's attention so badly.

They need a father figure to reassure them that they're useful, important, and loved.

All this makes them three-dimensional and relatable, just like most UT/DR/UTY characters. It feels like everyone in these games goes through some kind of deep arc, and I feel like this is supposed to be the Boogiemen's

Sure, Harry and Larry are funny at first glance, and they're great at being comic reliefs, but at their core, they are misguided guys who come from poverty/homelessness. I kinda wish the feisty four from uty had more going for them just so I could psychoanalyze them all

Even though it's probably been a few years since they joined Koffin, at least some part of Harry and Larry doesn't seem to believe that they can finally enjoy themselves, even if it means doing hooligan stuff and boring chores. That's why they're 'superficial' and goof off and will grab any opportunity to act childish and materialistic.

A typical case of age regression

What lies beyond the surface is incredibly sad to me.

Now, this is sort of like a bonus section bc I want to explain WHY exactly I see Harry & Larry as brothers, and WHY I think they see Koffin as a dad again, maybe it's bc I'm aroace and I see family relationships everywhere, but the stuff below REALLY REALLY reminds me of these types of dynamics:

They threw insults at each other and had a literal fistfight over which one of them Koffin appreciated/liked more

They cried HARD (of joy) when Koffin told them they're both equally useful and useless, so they no longer had to be at each other's throats. He also said how he recognized that they're passionate about being his lackeys, even if their teamwork needed, well, work

I think it's sweet how they built the float 'within their first days of henchmenry,' according to KK. They could have easily NOT included him, but had apparently warmed up to him pretty soon

Harry wanted to call Koffin to save them + I love how he's CERTAIN he'll do it

Both yelled for Koffin (reminds me of Axis calling out for Chujin for some reason)

Larry called Koffin Keep their home (could have easily said that they left it at the keep...reminds me of the times Starlo called The Wild East Clover's home I really need to stop with the uty parallels)

They cheered for him (and got hit in the face with books)

They get in trouble with him

They apparently copied two of his attacks these 3 are so similar except that Koffin is a more 'head in the clouds' kind of goofy while Harry & Larry are more grounded... but still goofy

And this line... "And quit arguing, you two!" sounded so parental, istg

I forgot to mention some stuff:

After Koffin tells everyone to go to the festival, Harry and Larry quickly look left and right, like they're wondering where he is and/or what to do now that he isn't there. Poor guys really are dependent on him and like to be in his presence

They talked about Koffin a LOT throughout this game. Their conversations are either about 1) Koffin and what they're gonna do to please him, 2) Them bickering, or 3) Some shenanigans they get themselves into. Larry even remembers how Koffin-K always says: "If you're slacking, put some hustle into it"

Koffin doesn't treat any other lackey the way he does Harry and Larry, and none of the other lackeys seek his admiration like the two do

Harry and Larry were both jealous af of Chara for getting all the attention (right after they got into Koffin's study Harry said "Now whaddya need us in here for, see?" and I immediately thought that he wanted to add "you have a new favorite child lacky now so why don't assign more chores TO THEM")

Like I'm not sure if they were meant to come across to us players as a family but for some reason that's how they came across to me since day 1

The actual reason why I see them in this light is not just bc I love found family (even tho I do. a lot), but bc I feel like it would give Harry & Larry more depth than a romance between any of them

Ranking the 5th Anniversary Blazing Jewel Dorm Songs based on my own personal tastes!

Disclaimer: I LIKE ALL OF THE SONGS! At this point I have listened to all the songs multiple times and it's been really hard to place some of them above others so I had to come up with some arbitrary way of actually ranking them. I still haven't looked up the lyrics for all the songs let alone anayzed how much I think they reflect the dorms or anything deep like that. In the end it mostly boils down to just the vibes and personal taste. I AM ABOUT TO SHAMELESSLY SHARE MY BIASES.

(That being said I think Anon will not be disappointed with where "Far Out" is placed.)

7: "恣意天変" (Diasomnia)--It's slow. I don't feel like dancing when I hear it. It's beautiful, but as far as Malleus singing goes I like "Make a Wish" more and I think that song spoiled this one for me a bit. This one just doesn't impress me much. If I was going to make a workout playlist this one might be for stretching. . .maybe.

6: "La volonté" (Pomefiore)--Weirdly enough, my bias against Pomefiore didn't land this one in last. I actually really like the beat of this song, and while it's not a workout song, I find myself swaying while listening to it, which is more than I can say for the previous one. Now it can't go any higher because that's all I can vibe with and I've already heard the Pompom boys sing way too many times.

5: "Entanglement" (Octavinelle)--I've always loved the Jazz club vibe Octavinelle has going for it. It's also one of my favorite dorms. But again I had to pick either this one or Obedience to be next and going purely off of vibes, this one has yet to get stuck in my head unprompted. Overall good stuff but I had rank one lower. (Azul is going to kill me for this.)

4: "Obedience" (Heartslabyul)--Fighting really hard Octavinelle for this middle spot. It loses points overall for being the most generic song of the bunch. It doesn't sound like it belongs in Hearstlabyul, it sounds like normie JPOP idol group music. This song might as well have no association with Twisted Wonderland. I like to listen to it a lot, but I can't in good conscience place it above the middle.

3: "DIADEM" (Savanaclaw)--You just know I wanted to make this number one, and it WOULD be if Jack and Ruggie could carry a tune. They can't. At least not compared to Leona. The singing is just lack luster enough for me to want to cry, but my Savanaclaw bias can at least get it up to third place. Also the song itself is a bop and I can put it on repeat without any trouble. If the bass was bassier and my boy could actually sing, DIADEM would top the list no problem. Alas, Leona carries the vocals, HARD and him essentially singing backup to his underclassmen is just enough to take me out of it. (I'M SORRY BOYS!)

2: "双絶アイオーン" (Ignihyde)--What do you want me to say? Ignihyde pretty much always gets quality stuff.~ Bonus points for the backing track sounding like something out of a Crash Bandicoot game. Very techy, very bouncy, very fun. Since I mentiond the singing a couple of times before I may as well say that Idia and Ortho have fine enough voices.

1: "Far Out" (Scarabia)--So. . .unlike with Diasomnia and Pomefiore I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF JAMIL AND KALIM SINGING! Their vocal performance alone could land this song as my number one favorite, but coupled with the music there's really no contest. Scarabia got a big win with this ones. Good for them!

I hope you like how this turned out. This is probably the least formal ranking list I have made so far, so I apologize if the casual nature of it is off-putting or not what you would have hoped. I am so happy we got dorm songs, and I really do like all of them so it got hard to justify putting one above the other.

I scoff, “yeah, oh. I gave up everything for him. My family, my home, my life to restore him after he fled to the Spring Court. I just wanted his support. And he was busy with a female who would rather be tortured than in his presence.”

“I don’t think it’s fair to blame Elain for-”

“I wasn’t blaming Elain,” I corrected. “Lucien let me down. Unforgivably. That's the end of it. I don’t want an apology from him, it won’t do anything for me.”

Eris let out a long sigh. “Look, I understand that he hurt you. I’m not trying to invalidate your feelings. He fucked up. Point blank. He’ll never be able to take back what he did and said. But is there any way that the two of you may be able to move on?”

“Move on?” I scoffed, a cruel laugh escaping me. “Move on? Eris, I confessed to him that I am his mate, and he told me I was selfish because I wasn’t happy about him and Elain.”

“Were you?”

“Of course I was,” I ran my palms over my face. “Did it hurt knowing he’d never look at me like that? Yes, but I was prepared to live with it if it meant that he got to live a happy, fulfilled life. I didn’t care who it was, it was the fact that he forgot all about me. On more than one occasion. Menu designs, recipe tastings, wine tastings… all of it. He missed all of it to go be with her.”

“So you’re jealous?”

It took everything inside me to not rear up and smack him across the face. Who does this asshole think he is? Instead of possibly earning myself more trouble, I take his glass of ale off the counter, dump it, and rinse the glass. 

“I wasn’t done with-”

“Well, you’re done now. Thank you for dining with Latibule, but the restaurant is officially closed. See yourself out.”

I'm not trying to sit here and invalidate what they went through but if the person who made that comment see's this, let me tell you something: your experience with SA isn't all SA victims experience. And it may have not been Timothy's experience either. Just because YOU weren't able to tell a single soul doesn't mean Timothy isn't able to. I genuinely feel so sorry for what you went through but it may not be what she went through, and that's ok. But you can't sit here and act like she's a liar based on that merit alone. Just because you went through SA doesn't make you an expert on it and means you can tell who’s immediately lying and who's telling the truth.

Animals don't long for 'freedom' like people do.

An increasingly common anti-zoo/aquarium argument goes something along the lines below: "Oh yeah? So what if they have great healthcare, toys, and food, they're still deprived of freedom and live in confinement! Would YOU want to live in an apartment forever, even with all those benefits?!" I will explain why is a terrible argument, incorrect, and anthropomorphic. 1: It vastly oversimplifies/misrepresents the size of zoo enclosures. An environment perfectly tailored and modified to an animal's wants, needs, and desires allows for enough space to display natural behavior, exercise, and provide mental stimulation. Branding this an 'apartment' or even 'bathtub' is an invalid/poor comparison. Now, are there exhibits far too small that cause animals mental/physical issues? Yes. Does this mean that an enclosure smaller than what a species roams in the wild is automatically cruel? A solid no. The above paragraph perfectly sums up what a responsible enclosure should do. Horses can travel dozens of miles per day in the wild, yet do great in pastures a fraction of their wild range. 2: Animals do not want 'freedom' like humans do. People desire to go to the store, see movies, travel the world, get their dream job, etc. Animals do none of that- they don't slouch and think how unfair it is they can't struggle in the wild. Anthropomorphism plays a huge part in this argument. It assumes animals, especially intelligent ones like cetaceans, have the same desires listed above. They do not- they roam vast ranges in the wild in search of food and to avoid predators- this is not a concern in human care.

The minds/brains of different species operate differently. Dogs do not think like birds, mice like cats, bugs like elephants, killer whales like people. A killer whale does not look at their pool and think 'I can't stand this bathtub.' Lions don't long for the African savannah. Dogs don't long to live life like wolves. Some traits persist across species- all animals want to avoid hunger and sickness. This does not mean their minds view the world like humans do. They want to be free from pain, hunger, and sickness; not free to go wherever they please at the cost of those. And animals in modern, responsible facilities aren't forced to do anything they don't want to. Food deprivation is no longer used. And if you still insist animals want freedom or think the same way humans do, you should carry that logic to other situations. "How would YOU like to eat kibble every day? How would YOU like to wear a collar and walk on a leash?" I have never seen anyone make that sort of argument. Seems like Anthropomorphism is only when it suits the agenda. "But why do zoo animals escape then?" Great question. Escapees are rare, but they do occur. Does this prove the animal is miserable and wants to be free? No. An animal seeing a chance to get out of its enclosure may take the chance for several reasons- simple curiosity, wanting to get closer to people, extra food, interesting smells, etc. An escaped animal might also become frightened and run, furthering the distance between them and their habitat. If a dog or cat runs away nobody says 'Well, clearly they hate living in an unnatural, manmade house! Stop keeping them imprisoned!"

Yes, dogs and cats are domesticated but were not selectively bred to adapt to a modern human house, they were bred with jobs in mind and for companionship with humans- this is not the same as living in a modern house. Yet they adapted well.

3: No, I wouldn't want to live in an apartment my whole life. But as explained above, I am a human and animals have different desires/minds.

TLDR: The animal mind doesn't work the same way as the human mind and apartment/tiny building comparisons are silly.

haiii!! little life update then some suna headcanons cuz i feel like it ^^ i had my first sleepover last night and it was so so fun, with my best friend and her 2 best friends ive talked to but had never met before. they were so welcoming n nice, they're the best <3

i'm also finding my style more! trying to accept that it's ok to not only have one style, and, as a nonbinary/trans masculine, that long hair too can be masculine. (desperately want to grow my hair out but so scared to be seen as more girly😣)

nowwww for suna!! i feel like he'd have like a little cousin or smth that's really quiet and he'd be super close w them. they have the type of relationship where it takes 30 mins to warm up at family gatherings n stuff but he loves them so dearly (this may be possibly reflecting off of myself and my wishes for an older role model to be friends w but never had ((i'm the oldest cousin)) so don't mind me🙈) and i feel like they'd do art and stuff together or go skating. he'd be the type to welcome them into his home if they're going through sum at their home. 😋

OOOH THOSE SUNA HEADCANONS! That's so sweet- him being the family member his more reserved family member is close to! He's so chill and comforting; not necessarily doting on them but the one who sends funny videos to them at the most wild of hours. Like you said, he'd take them out for skating or mall trips- offer them a place to stay if things get messy. I like to think when he goes to college they still stay in touch; face timing every week and making plans to meet during breaks. He's just such a good guy!

Hello. This is a concerned deviant speaking. It doesn't matter when you read this, as it's probably still happening by the time you do. I know you're a senior member and wanted to know if you could spread the message in a thread, not me which is why I'm anonymous, for my protection.

You may or may not know this, but in notable instances, being banned does not always stop people (referring to the banned people) from answering polls. There is an individual... it pains me to say her wretched name, she's using this power, possibly with others' help, to go around DA to any and all polls relating to self harm and mental health and choosing the most demoralizing options. For example, if a poll says "should I end", T will spam the "yes", or if it asks "is my mental illness real" the answer "no it's fake" may be selected. You can see for yourself looking at most of these polls that follow traditional keywords. A lot of people are fools and post these polls, and I accidentally baited this and found out and have cut them off. The biggest thing though is these people don't know what awaits them, that's the issue. Impulse causes them to make such a poll expecting comfort but then they get an unexpected shower of invalidation which worsens their issue. I think of my friend as I ask this, she survived a recent attempt on herself but is now a thousand euro in psych ward money debt. So yeah, can you make the PSA?

Heya, I will see what I can do, I am trying to stay out of the whole T drama, as I was stalked, harassed and doxxed by them and this has been an ongoing issue for over 3 years now. They don’t seem to want to listen to me. They keep telling me the same stuff over and over and it’s funny yet irritating because I’d explained myself already (I know I’ve said this like 15 times but I need to get this point across). I do plan on blocking them if they ever try something though.

But like ❄️ said, I am allowed to cope and react to things however the fuck I want. I do my best to comfort or be there for my friends and those affected more severely, but I’m personally not gonna cry about it.

No one should speak for anyone else. I let the “friend” who abused me for 10 years speak for me a lot and it doesn’t make people feel good. It’s very invalidating and no one wants someone to speak for them.
