This Au is based on Pixie Hollow and the Tinkerbell movies/books! Most of it will lean on the movie lore, but will borrow some lore from the books as well. I also am making up a lot of lore myself to fill in gaps for the storyline or make the translation from MHA easier.

The Fairies

Izuku aka "Deku" - [design]

Talent: Dust Keeper Alchemy Info: Deku's wings are covered in black veins that creep onto his back and he cannot fly, even with the help of pixie dust. He's given blue pixie dust by All Might and works on alchemy experiments in secret in order to do multiple talents.

Katsuki aka "Kacchan" - [design]

Talent: Fast Flying Info: One of the best fast flyers in Pixie Hollow, he has unique control over the winds. Constantly keeping Deku out of trouble.

Eijirou - [design]

Talent: Animal Talent Info: One of Katsuki's closest friends. He has a best animal friend, a turtle named Boulder, who he visits regularly and takes sun naps on his shell.

Denki - [design]

Talent: Light Talent Info: Playful and excitable, he has a habit of accidentally lighting himself up when excited.

Mina - [design]

Talent: Garden Talent Info: Fun-loving and overly social, she loves calling forward a bunch of colorful petals to surprise others.

Kyouka - [design]

Talent: Music Talent Info: Likes to play her guitar in various places in pixie hollow for her friends. Momo, the tinker fairy, makes and fixes her instruments.

Hanta - [design]

Talent: Scouting Talent Info: Specializes in using vines and ropes to restrain threats. A fairly laid back fairy who likes to bother his friends and laze about when avoiding orders from Hawks, the leader of the Scouting guild.

Ochaco - [design]

Talent: Fast Flying Info: While not the fastest of the flying talents, Ochaco specializes in utilizing winds to create a soft floating affect. She's most useful in helping dandelions find their way to the pixie dust tree or assisting in soft landings.

Shouto - [design]

Talent: Light & Frost Talents Info: Shouto is a unique fairy where two dandelions were growing from the same stalk when it took flight to Pixie Hollow. Because of this, him and his intentional sibling became one when influenced by Pixie dust, making him both a Summer and Winter fairy. Because of this, he can do 2 talents and also survive in both climates for elongated periods of time. However, he cannot stay in one place for a whole year, and regularly has to move between the Summer Glade and the Winter Woods.

Tsuyu - [design]

Talent: Water Talent Info: One of the only Water fairies that willingly gets into water, though she doesn't submerge her wings and only stands in shallow ends. She calls Izuku "Izu-chan."

Tenya - [design]

Talent: Fast Flying Info: A very structured fairy, he doesn't like deviating from his schedule. He's considered possibly the fastest of the fast flying talents but his wind control is lacking.

Hitoshi - [design]

Talent: Dust Keeping Info: Always tired. One of Izuku's closest friends, he'll defend Izuku in his own way from others. Has some unspoken guilt that he maybe somehow was the reason Izuku's wings formed incorrectly.

All Might

Talent: Unknown Info: When acting as king, All Might presents himself in a full-bodied muscled form. But out of the public eye, he presents as a feeble older fairy named Toshinori. The other fairies outside of the Never Council and Fairy Inko don't know that they're the same people, which allows Toshinori to speak comfortably with others and keep an eye on Pixie Hollow from the sidelines. Izuku meets Toshinori and helps him with something, despite the task being far harder without the help of flight, and Toshinori sees how hard Izuku is trying and feels something special about him, so he gives Izuku a supply of blue pixie dust.

Mirio is a blonde mouse and Eri's only friend, who attempts to look out for her and make her smile. Eri gave him the nickname "Lemillion" because it sounds like 'lemon' (because of his fur) and how he's 1 in a million.

What happened to Deku's wings? Can he not fly?

Deku's wings did not work since his arrival. They look different from others' wings and don't respond to pixie dust, so he cannot take flight. Because he was born from Eri's sorrowful laugh, there was not enough joy in it for him to form correctly. [You can see Deku's Birth comic here!]

What about [insert character name]?

I have plans for most of the main cast from MHA, but not all of them will be fairies. As for other characters, like students from 1B or other NPCs, I don't have solid thoughts for all of them and really only think of them if I plan to insert them into the story so I probably don't have a role for them.

How did Katsuki and Izuku meet?

Katsuki met Izuku on Izuku's arrival day! He was the fairy to see Izuku's dandelion come into Pixie Hollow and aided it to the Pixie Dust Tree. [You can see the comic here!]

Is this a fanfic or comic I can read?

Right now, all that exists are the little snippet comics and drawings I've made. However! I have a storyline in mind for the AU set roughly 6 years after Deku's birth, and I'm going to try to write it! I'll definitely share it when I'm able.

Probably! But I haven't given it much thought or focus yet.

With the new season just around the corner, the Williams team was in full force putting together their finishing touches on pre-season testing and meetings. Unfortunately for you, that meant that Logan was putting in long hours at the factory, with the most you’re seeing of him sometimes being just his imprint on the bedsheets in the morning since he leaves so early in the morning and comes back even long after you go to sleep. 

Moving to Oxfordshire was a big step for the both of you. For Logan it was a no-brainer, even choosing to buy a place instead of renting helped show his commitment to the team, and how could you have possibly said no to him when he asked for you to join him? After all, in his words you are is home, no matter where he is in the world. While Logan may be used to living the European life, moving away from your all-American home was definitely a big culture shock. There were of course fun new experiences - first time getting lost in a new city, trying new cafes that you knew you would subsequently come to every week, and seeing the beautiful sights. At the same time there were the moments that absolutely tore you up to be away from home - Logan cried as he held you on Thanksgiving when all you really wanted was to be able to eat your mom’s Turkey stuffing, but then he subsequently called your mom and got her to send you a frozen portion in the mail. It only arrived 2 weeks later and there was a definite chance that the stomachache you got afterwards may have been due to it being slightly spoiled by the time it made it to your dinner table, but the action itself definitely warmed your heart. Even though you were definitely the baby when it came to missing home, you knew that there were a couple of days that got to him and today was definitely one of them. 

Logan’s back ached as he finally got out of what felt like a 10 hour long meeting about company branding that he couldn’t care less about. The one thing he’s grateful for is the plethora of window panes at the factory - if he’s going to be stuck inside all day it’s at least nice to see the sun rise and set each day over the horizon. There are some days where Formula 1 doesn’t feel as worth it, where he wishes that he was in his backyard in Florida playing soccer with his brother, his dad on grill while his mom nags them about not wearing enough sunscreen, but on days like that he at least gets to see you, usually. If only he had time to see you right now. If he rushed back to your apartment right now he would probably at least catch you getting ready for bed, but it feels selfish to keep you up sometimes. He knows just how much you sacrificed to be here with him, including working a remote job in a timezone that meant that you were up at the worst of hours for team meetings.

He expects to walk into a dark apartment, just like he has for the last 3 weeks - but instead he’s met with a completely different sight. 

It’s you, which is a sight enough to bring a smile to his face. But it’s not just you, but you’re surrounded by a a scene that he can only describe in two words. While he’s rendered speechless, you’re happy to steal the words from his mouth. 

“Happy Superbowl Sunday, babe.” 

Your apartment has all the staples from back home; chicken wings, seven layer dip, beer. If Logan’s  nutritionist took a look at your dining table right now he would probably have a heart attack, but Logan could care less about that right now. 

“I really lucked out that both teams have the color red so I only had to buy one color of balloons to cover my bases.” you giggle as Logan picks you up and spins you around. There’s tears starting to pool at the corner of his eyes and you understand the emotion you see in them all too well.

"I -, wow - , how did you - , I can't believe -" the words keep stumbling out of Logan's mouth as he's just in complete awe of what you pulled off for him.

You both take a second to cherish the moment, that the two of you get to do this together after so many weeks of not seeing each other. But soon after that you both settle onto the couch with more snacks than you could possibly ever consume surrounding the two of you on all sides. 

You’re actually only watching a recording of the game with how the time differences worked out, and it’s actually Monday night, late enough to be almost Tuesday in England by the time you turn on the television - but Logan is far too sleep deprived and overworked to notice. There’s definitely a non-zero chance he falls asleep by the time the 3rd quarter even starts, but you’re happy to at least fall asleep together as you cuddle into his side.

“Also we are cheering for…” Your voice trails off as a question since you actually have no idea who Logan likes out of these two teams.

“The 49ers babe, you would love them too if you knew the backstory” 

His comment makes you curious and while you’re scared of the can of worms you may be opening of being mansplained the history of the entire NFL, you ask him to explain and luckily he keeps it short and sweet.

“You always love cheering for an underdog, Y/N,” Logan says with a smile.

Here are the sides. Originally, one side (painter) was going to have a beard, but my beards already look horrible, and half of one looked even worse. That other foot was also going to be like… a full foot, before I gave up and now it’s just shapes.

Worker was originally called Scientist, but I changed it because it’s supposed to be his ‘work face’ (aka playing nice and holding his tongue and shit. Basically a customer service face). I would have changed painter but I couldn’t think of a descriptor for it proper and ‘passionate’ didn’t feel right. It’s the side that’s more honest and prefers doing things that aren’t work or that he finds fulfilling.

The more extreme faces are extensions of this. Worker getting so worked up that it progresses to full on paranoia, desperate to keep his job + the idea that people are trying to take it away from him in the first place. Catatonic is a state of Painter failing to do its job. Either the creations are no longer fulfilling or there are so many tasks to do to complete them that he shuts down. Or people keep trying to distract him or take him away from what he’s doing.

(Also the raise lower thing on Paranoid is like the Fuzzies from Mario)

Yeah this doesn’t look much like him but. We ball. I’ve been informed by a friend as well as my brother that sexypedia woulda gone crazy over this.

Originally I was going off the way he was a Big Screen through chapter 8 and part of chapter 9, you know, big old god face. And then something grabbed me by the throat and whispered ‘experiment with your style’ so now we have this thing as a result. I had a lot of fun doing the sort of pseudo-rubber hose style. Close ups below along with some details.

The base design I had. I never had a tv with an antenna (though I have had a thick ass bubble tv) so I looked at a bajillion references. Given that Wheatley is a certified Yapper, I went for a more talk show set background. The style of the furniture is all Retro Future when they used eye bleed orange and had big egg chairs because Aperture had a small bit of that aesthetic in the first underground section (or second??? I struggle to remember timelines). I struggled to find any actual retro future ceiling lamps because the first 30 images were ai generated. Hate to see it. Resorted to looking at eBay.

The dials and buttons are meant to be copper, since most of the TVs I saw had gold accents and it just didn’t really work out when I applied it here. I think I’m just shit at coloring metals. I would have put ‘The Wheatley Show’ on the sign but my handwriting/cursive is too dog water.

The second design I did. I tried some squash and stretch here, and I’m quite proud of it. The antenna are being tugged down, so I know there probably should be a picture but shhh, I can do what I want. I was more interested in making it look like he was pulling his hair.

I couldn’t name this one properly. It’s also closer to a shut down, but things like dread and emotional drain fit too. I debated on doing this whole thing in black and white, as early TVs didn’t have color, but after consulting some people I decided to only do it for certain expressions. He also desaturates when unsure/uncomfortable.

This one was the one I was most excited to get to. The hands can do more than just mess with the antenna, they can change the channel and click the buttons (they’re volume buttons even though I don’t think TVs had those at least not like this). There’s a number of different backgrounds that can pop up when being fiddled with, like a weather broadcast, a nature documentary, a cooking show, pretty much anything, as long as it falls into that 60-70s approach I had.

Oh right yeah there’s a guy in there.

I wanted to make him simultaneously more and less details than the guy in the screen. More detail in the bow tie and the arms, but lacking the suit detail. This one veered closer to doctor Seuss in terms of style I fear. The white side of the face is supposed to look more like a mask, which is why the iris is a different style and the smile doesn’t line up.

As a whole cadre the Geiers would be a fun bunch ! They would probably adore playing volleyball ouf of all the activities. 2 v 2 with the 5th one taking a break. Silver is lovingggg the beach , specially the water and its cooling, fresh feeling. Copper and Alloy are probably the calmest ones of the group , happy to sit under the shade and relax. Copper with a book from the Kolibris and Alloy spends hours learning how to build bigger and stupider things from sand (dont let her near the Aras she will learn forbiden knowledge) along with being fascinated by the local wildlife (she will pet a shark and nothing can stoo her). Sidenote, Copper does get distracted if something washes up on the shore orrrr there are pretty rocks scattered around. I have never really seen any on a sand beach personaly but if it's a rocky one you can bet she is hunting the little bastards like a hawk (or magpie ig? Vulture?? Close enough).

Kobalt is an antsy one outside of group activities on the beach , doesn't really know what to do with herself. Probably ends up swimming with Silver or annoying Alloy/Copper. Eusan probably doesn't have water skis yet but on god if they existed there she would fucking love it fjfjgjgk.

Null is. An interesting one. She hates sand dhfhhf hates the heat in general. Will go ofc but is pretty silent if it's just the Geiers. If the Commander is there though? Bit of a different story. Long evening walks on the beach actually become something enjoyable with the floating goddes next to her. It's a nice silent sort of company , a mutual understanding of life while listening to the soft crashing of the waves. Just really. Soul soothing. During the day though Null would have a syndrome of a creepy ahh bodyguard constantly trailing Falke like a dog dhfhhf she wouldn't mind but goodlord Null get a grip. Falke uses her as a fashiom guinepig in return.

Hii!! I just am getting out of high school and since I am in a graphic design class and do art, my economics teacher suggested that I start selling my work and doing commissions. The biggest one I have seen is Instagram and Tiktok but I am hesitant to use either cause of Instagram using your posts as AI training data and Tiktok being video content, which i am not interested in. Even though my art isn't 1:1 to this I do have some experience and thoughts about getting started. Graphic design (my profession) and Illustration/art (my hobby) are two very different spheres though, so I'll break down a couple thoughts on each. For graphic design, any kind of client work is going to start to get you ahead and also get you thinking about what kind of work you like doing/want to get paid to do. Since soooo many things fall under the umbrella of graphic design (packaging, logos, websites, events, branding, motion, marketing, etc etc etc) starting to make real things and figuring out how the elements all work together is super important. You don't have to be able to do everything, but showing and knowing which areas you can help a team with will be great for getting those initial internships and junior designer positions. This could look like anything from designing logos for family and friends, to making up a pretend coffee shop and designing what the cups and signs and instagram feed might look like all together. Maybe design a website or two. Have fun and get it posted to a portfolio website (there are a lot of free options). The more things you finish, the better your portfolio will get, and the more you will know. Done is better than perfect. Get scrappy. For illustration, my experience is mostly with social posting and convention stuff. Draw as much as you can all the time, fill your sketchbooks with fun and bad and ugly art that you enjoy making to get in the habit and get loose. Then just like for graphic design, work on finishing stuff. The more you finish, the more you'll figure out your process to finish things. Done > Perfect once again. Post wherever you want (i also dont like tiktok bc i dont make video/motion stuff, and i mostly just use insta for keeping other artists' contacts - i probably only post about 10% of what i make there, but it is a nice one to have.) From there, start offering cheap commissions or requests to get used to working with other people's ideas (I think i started with $5 sketches that i could do in 10ish minutes back in 2011). I don't do public commissions anymore, but I did for many, many years and making sure you're smart with your time is a big tip (its why the sketch/lines/full color + halfbody/fullbody character price sheets are so popular. An artist offering these knows about how long it takes them to draw each combination and sets their price accordingly, more time = more money). As for selling at stuff like conventions or art shows, start small! See if you can get space at a small local fair or art market! Make and sell 10 finished things. Don't set your heights on the biggest, most competitive stuff right off the bat, or try to manage inventory for 100 items. That can all come later.

The "art sphere" is kind of a crazy place, and there are infinite ways to approach getting started. You do you. These tips are mostly targeted at career-style advice, but plenty of people are just here to have fun, and it really is way easier to keep the passion alive when you're making/expressing stuff for just yourself - balance work and play!! The only thing we all have in common is a love for making things!

The Festival of Light…

It was more than a celebration; it was a tradition. Thankfully your journey happened to bring you here in time to experience it for yourselves.

Lanterns floated and swayed above the winding cobblestone streets like suspended stars, illuminating every corner with a warm glow, welcome in the cool night. The main square was utterly alive with color and sound: vendors shouting over one another to sell their wares, the soft hum of music played on stringed instruments, and the laughter of children weaving through the crowd with sparklers in hand.

You moved through the throng, trying to avoid bumping into anyone, taking it all in. Every turn you took showed something new and exciting—a stall laden with shimmering trinkets, another piled high with pastries dusted in powdered sugar, a pair of beautifully dressed dancers spinning gracefully in time with the live music. The smell of roasted chestnuts mingled with the sweetness of candied apples, and the sheer energy of it all had your heart lighter than it had been in weeks. It was well needed.

Trailing behind you, Stark was a bit overwhelmed. You could see it in the way his eyes darted between the stalls, his hands flexing awkwardly at his sides, unsure of what to do with himself.

“So…uh…this is a big deal, huh?” he asked in a mousey voice, almost drowned out by the din around you. He adjusted the strap of his axe, even though it wasn’t slipping.

You slowed your pace, looking on in some wonder, “Yeah, must be. It reminds me of the festival we used to have in my hometown. My father always used to take me.”

“Oh,” he said, his eyes flicking to a nearby stall selling lanterns shaped like animals. “That sounds… nice.”

“It was.” you beamed, nostalgia warming your expression, “I loved everything about it, but the best part was always the sparring competition. My dad loved it—he said it wasn’t a real festival until we watched at least one match.”

Stark followed your line of sight to the roped-off arena, where a small crowd had gathered to cheer on two fighters locked in combat. His brow furrowed slightly, the corners of his mouth twitching downward, as the sound of metal on metal reached his ears.

“Doesn’t seem very…festive,” he muttered.

Laughing softly, you shook your head. “I’m sure it’s more fun than it looks. And besides, I think there’s something inspiring about it—watching people put their all into a fight. Whether they win or not.”

Stark didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he kept his gaze on the arena, his jaw tightening. You could tell he was thinking—turning something over in his head with slow and paranoid care, overthinking as usual. When he finally spoke, his voice was a little too loud, a little too forced.

“Guess I should sign up, then.”

You blinked, caught off guard. “What? You don’t have to—”

“No, it’s fine,” he interrupted, puffing his chest up. “I mean, why not? It could be fun.”

His attempt at bravado was so transparent that it almost made you laugh, but the determination in his eyes stopped you. He wasn’t doing this for himself. The realization made your chest ache, a quiet warmth blooming in its place. You’d often wondered…

“Alright,” you said softly, your smile turning more genuine. “If you’re sure. I’ll be cheering for you.”

The effect was immediate. Stark froze, his cheeks going pink, and then he quickly turned away, muttering something under his breath that you couldn’t quite catch. He marched toward the sign-up booth with all the grace of a man heading to his own execution.

You followed at a distance, biting back a grin as he scribbled his name onto the parchment. His hand was shaking so badly that the clerk gave him a puzzled look, but he didn’t seem to notice. When he turned back to you, his grin was painfully forced.

“All set,” he said, his voice cracking slightly. “Easy.”

The next competition began just as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in deep shades of orange and violet, matching well with the cozy golden glow of the lanterns. You found a spot near the front of the crowd, wanting a good view, watching intently as the first two competitors stepped into the ring.

The matches were fast-paced and intense, more so than you’d been anticipating, drawing cheers and gasps from the audience. Fighters of all shapes and sizes took turns in the ring—some wielding swords, others axes, and a few even fighting barehanded. While you clapped along with the crowd, your focus kept drifting back to Stark. 

He was standing near the edge of the arena, his arms crossed and his expression carefully neutral. But you could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his fingers tapped against his arm as he watched, his mind clearly whirring.

When his name was called—“Stark of Eisen!”—you felt your heart leap. The crowd erupted into cheers as he took a deep, heaving breath, and stepped into the ring. Clapping loudly, you hoped he could hear you. When he met your gaze for a brief moment, smiling awkwardly, you knew he had.

He straightened a little, drawing his weapon with a flourish that was more theatrical than practical, and paced forward to the center of the dirt ring.

From the other side of the crowd his opponent emerged; a towering man with his own axe, so massive it seemed almost comical. But there was nothing funny about it. When he swung, it was with brutal, surprising precision, forcing Stark to dodge and parry frantically, with every ounce of speed and strength that he had. 

At first, Stark held his own, landing a few solid strikes that drew cheers from the crowd. You cheered along with them, your voice rising above the noise. Confidence grew in him, and in you, as it seemed he might actually have this in the bag.

But as the fight dragged on, it became clear that the odds were against him. The other axe-wielder’s ruthless assault began to wear Stark down, his movements growing slower with each exchange. A near miss even clipped his clothes, tearing a strip out of his sleeve.

You clenched your fists, willing him to hold on, whispering his name worriedly, but when the final blow came—a heavy strike that sent him sprawling into the dirt—you couldn’t help but yelp with shock.

The match was over.

The crowd applauded the victor, but your focus stayed on Stark. He pushed himself to his feet, accepting his opponent’s hand with a forced smile, and then retreated to the edge of the square, his shoulders slumped. He didn’t look back as the next match began.

Pursuing, you found him leaning against a wooden post near an empty stall, his head bowed. His hands were clenched into fists, and his expression was a mix of frustration and defeat.

“Stark?” you called softly.

He flinched but didn’t turn. “Don’t bother,” he muttered. “I know I messed up.”

You stepped closer, frowning. “Messed up? Stark, you did great.”

He let out a bitter laugh. “I lost. First round. Doesn’t sound great to me.”

Sighing gently, you shook your head.

“You didn’t lose because you weren’t good enough,” you said firmly. “You gave it everything you had, against someone twice your size. That’s more than most people would do.”

He turned to face you then, his eyes searching yours. Momentarily, he was silent, a heavy pause settling between the two of you. But then, he spoke again.

“I just… I wanted to win,” he admitted quietly. “For you.”

Your breath caught at the confession, and warmth spread through you like the glow of the lanterns above. It was something you had been suspecting for some time now, but had never had the courage to confirm directly. Yet it had been so obvious…just how your companion felt…

Tentatively, shyly, you reached for his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. He stiffened at first, but his grip soon relaxed under yours.

“Stark,” you said softly, “you don’t have to win to impress me. You already have. You always do.”

Eyes widening, for a moment, he looked like he didn’t believe you. But then his expression softened, and his stance relaxed.

“Thanks,” he murmured sincerely. “I… I needed that.”

You smiled, your grip tightening slightly. “Anytime. Now, come on—you owe me a lantern wish.”

His smile growing, cheeks flushing, he let you pull him back toward the square. For the first time that evening, or perhaps in his entire life, Stark looked truly at ease.

Dancing in the Dark, With You Between My Arms

YES! THE BOYFRIENDS! THE BABIES! THE SWEETHEARTS! THEY'RE HERE! (And yes, the title is a reference to a song by Ed Sheeran. I believe it's called "Perfect".)

This is, by far, the most interesting drawing I've done. For one thing, there's actually character poses. For another thing, two characters are actually interacting with each other! And it doesn't look bad! It looks natural! Yes!

I've realized that my most interesting drawings are made from my messiest sketches. I think I focus too much on trying to make the sketch look good, so I'm unable to get most of my ideas out. With this drawing, however, I really wanted to just get my idea out. I didn't focus on making it look good. I just focused on getting the idea across. This resulted in a very messy sketch of Siffrin and Isa dancing together at night. I loved the concept, so I made a refined sketch on a different layer. Actually, I tried to do the line art, but since the sketch was so messy, it just turned out looking like sketch that was a lot clearer than the original sketch. Using this refined sketch, I was able to draw the line art. (By the way, this scene is happening post-game.)

I spent some time coloring it. I added hints of purple on Siffrin's outfit because I wanted it to stand out a little bit from the stark-black sky. By the way, his outfit is based on Loop's design. I have no reasoning for this other than I just thought it was fun. Also! FUN FACT: I'm making a Siffrin bobblehead in my art class. I'm planning on painting Siffrin's cloak kinda like this outfit. (I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get away with just painting him with white paint, so I felt like this was a cool way to incorporate some color in his outfit.) I've already finished sculpting the clay, so I have to wait for it to dry or whatever. I really hope it doesn't blow up in the kiln. I'm really worried that I missed some air bubbles in the clay, so ha ha, that's another thing to give me anxiety! Okay, moving back onto the drawing!

I used the stars to experiment with lighting, and I think it turned out nice. Though, I wish I added more stars. I feel like that would've made the background look more natural.

By the way, this was my first time drawing Isabeau! I think he looks nice in this, but I did mess up his pants. For some reason, I didn't process that he wears striped pants. I don't know. I'm not even sure what the name of what I drew him wearing is. Eh, whatever, it was still fun to draw, albeit more complicated. Another fun fact: I've been drawing Siffrin from memory this whole time. I didn't want to look up references because I was afraid of seeing spoilers. The more I draw them, the more accurate they become. Also, I've spent a couple of minutes analyzing their design while I've been playing the game, so yeah, that helps. But I did need a reference for Isa! ....What? Don't judge me! His design is more complicated than Siffrin's!

Final Fun Fact for this drawing: Siffrin has a darker blush that Isabeau. Okay, bye!

Digimon World: Dusk (AKA Digimon Story Moonlight) - Final Thoughts

Another Digimon game done and dusted, woohoo! I finally played the game that JaidenAnimations made a video about (kinda). I definitely enjoyed it more than her, but I get her frustrations at the same time. Navigation was pretty ridiculous and most of the game was dumb side quests. Even though it expanded on the first Digimon Story game a bit, I definitely preferred Digimon World DS for its simplicity. I did really dig the aesthetics of this one though (pink and purple ftw!)

While a lot of the gameplay was tedious, all of the stuff I appreciated from the first game are still here. Great pixel art, fun digivolving mechanics, cool bosses, and a colorful world to explore. Overall, I thought it was a good time. Maybe it helped that I went in fully knowing what to expect and already understanding how to play?

Notes:

For a series called Digimon "Story" the story is always the weakest part. Like...what even was this story? It seemed like all of the usual nonsense to me. Every single digimon villain wants to rewrite the world and awaken the ultimate digimon yadda yadda yadda. The annoying thing in this one were all the weird inscrutable words they used. Of course I didn't write these down, but I remember at some point they wanted me to find the "D WORD" and I had no idea wtf a d word was nor did they ever explain it. Also, they suddenly called me a "real being" at the end which felt weird cuz it was the first time they used that phrase. The villain also mentioned "digi entelecheia" once or twice and I had completely forgotten what that was (okay maybe that one's my bad lol). Also, the city is always called "CITY" (in all caps) for no apparent reason. Just weird quirky stuff that had me confused for the majority of the game.

I didn't connect to a single character and completely forgot about Phascomon's existence until he popped up at the end. (I literally thought, "Who is that, this game's mascot or something?") The dialogue was kind of funny because the characters were constantly saying "we could try to solve this problem ourselves, but [player character] is so much better than us at everything, let's just let her do it" lol. Thanks guys...

Due to translation error, one dude kept misgendering me lol (called me "he" every time he spoke).

The animation of the main character going "aww shucks" whenever people gassed her up was really cute and I looked forward to it every time.

This game is actually HUGE. Kind of annoyingly so. There were all those random dark areas that I never really explored because I wasn't sure what the point of them was. I think there was also some kind of coliseum (maybe?) but I skipped that as well. There are also wifi connection features which are required for completionists which is kinda shitty nowadays.

Plenty of new digimon designs for me to enjoy. Really enjoyed Lunamon's digivolution line (hell yeah, Dianamon!). It was fun having a "dark" party for once. All of the giant bosses looked amazing too.

Although navigating this game was harder than it was in Digimon World DS, the game felt easier battle-wise. It's probably just due to all the built in grinding, but I beat the final bosses very easily. Of course, it helps that it's easy to become very rich and buy 99 of every item you need. I don't think I lost a single battle once.

This game introduced jogress digivolution but I simply never used it. I don't like just randomly combining digimon when I don't need to. If I was to 100% the game I may have experimented though.

One thing I missed from the first game was that you couldn't regress to the lowest digivolution for the best results anymore, you could only go back one digivolution at a time. I found this less satisfying, but I could see others seeing it as a plus.

The end credits that have you and your digimon parading by were very cute. That's always a nice touch. It was funny seeing my wimpy farm digimon that I never used included in the bunch.

Maybe I missed something but I wish the game had more equipment? Once you get to level 40 the options seemed pretty limited for some digimon types.

The interruptions of the farm report and digimon always getting new attacks got kind of annoying after awhile. I guess you wouldn't want to miss out on better attacks, but I wish the option to manage them was tucked away in a menu that you can pull up later instead of popping up after a battle. (Oh and getting a pop up to rename your digimon every time you digivolve...)

I missed being rewarded with tamer levels just for progressing through the story. I actually ended this game as a "normal tamer." I believe getting higher than that involves more fetch quests....I'm good for now.

I was pretty proud that I had a decent amount of mega-level digis at the end there. You can form some really badass parties in this game.

Wish I could teleport to 2007 and play this game with a friend who had Dawn so we could trade 🥺

Despite my gripes, I think this game has a lot going for it for the more hardcore Digimon fans that are willing to put up with some tedium. The eye candy alone made it worth it. I give it a 6 out of 10.

The first time Grayson lands in Tamil Nadu, he’s in awe of how vibrant everything is; the colors, the noise, the sheer life in the air

He adjusts surprisingly well, though the heat takes some getting used to. The first day, he’s in his usual button-down but by day two, he’s given in and is in a simple linen shirt, sleeves rolled up

Tries every food you recommend, even if it sets his mouth on fire

The aunties love him. He’s polite, respectful, and carries himself like a man who understands family

The kids make him play games in the backyard and eventually, the rest of the brothers join in

You and your cousins place bets on who you think is going to win (probably Jameson let's be honest)

Xander is so into the family drama. He sits with the aunties, nodding seriously while they gossip, and gasps dramatically at the right moments

Nash is incredibly respectful and offers to help with everything. The uncles approve

Jameson throws himself into the experience. He tries to bargain at markets unsuccessfully, climbs mango trees, and challenges locals to street food spice competitions

Avery gets along so well with the women in the family. She helps with rangoli, wears sarees like she was born for them (Jameson is drooling), and gets pulled into the kitchen to learn secret recipes

Grayson, ever the composed one, is privately shaken when a grandma casually smacks him on the arm for not eating enough rice. He eats more

Your cousins love embarrassing you in front of Grayson, bringing up childhood stories and inside jokes

"Did you know she used to be scared of cows?"

"She once tried to fight a monkey. Lost."

The first time Grayson wears a veshti, your cousins laugh uncontrollably at his struggle but once he gets it right, he looks so good that they begrudgingly admit it

The wedding conversation happens in so many not-so-subtle ways. The aunties keep hinting at it, your younger cousins ask when they can go shopping, and one uncle just straight-up calls Grayson mappillai

Your grandfather is very skeptical at first. He gives Grayson the typical stern stare, like he’s deciding if he’s worthy

But then Grayson being Grayson, respectfully listens to every story, helps carry things without being asked, and actually remembers details about people’s lives

By the end of the trip, your grandfather declares him as his favourite (cue the entire family freaking out)

Your cousins introduce the Hawthornes to Tamil movies, and it is a cultural reset

Jameson gets way too into the action movies. He tries to copy the slow-motion sunglasses flip and fails spectacularly

Xander adores the dramatic family sagas

“This has everything — betrayal, long-lost brothers, emotional monologues? Cinema peaked here.”

Avery gets invested in the romances and starts rooting for on-screen couples like her life depends on it

Grayson, who is always unfazed, blinks at the over-the-top hero entries

"Did he just... punch someone through the wall?"

At this point, half your relatives have already decided that you and Grayson are getting married

One night at dinner, one of your cousins stands up

"So when's the wedding?"

Grayson, to his credit, doesn’t flinch — just gives you a small, knowing smile before smoothly changing the subject

Later that night, he leans in and whispers

“You know, if we stay any longer, I think your family might actually start planning the wedding us.”

"Is that such a bad thing?" you asked.

He smiled and shook his head. "I think we should tell them to start sooner."

The Ultimate Compilation Callout

Hey Guys! AR OOC once again to say I am 100% done.

I'm done with this. I thought it was finally dying down and the drama was finally getting to be over with but then she came back and is now trying to say that we are the ones in the wrong. And she is STILL trying to blame Leona's mod when, as both @/castaway-achlys and I have stated numerous times at this point, they were asleep during the entire event. They did not ask for us to defend them. We were both just tired of hearing our friend be exhausted and stressed out by her.

And the fact that so many people have come out to give their own experiences of her being rude and cruel to them just proves this is not a singular event.

I'm putting all this under a cut because it's gonna get long guys. In fact, I’m probably going to end up needing to create a couple reblog chains to get it all out.

But I'm done playing nice. I have all the receipts. Like I went allllll the way back to when the discord was first created. I caught her in her first lie.

Which, coincidentally, her very first lie in the Discord server happened on the very first day it was formed. What a way to start.

I call her the Malleus mod as an identifier in these screenshots, because unlike her, I am not petty enough to reveal peoples’ personal information on the internet just because I don’t like them.

HOWEVER. I will remind everyone that she is not JUST the owner of the Malleus account. Even if you don’t want to look under the read more because there are a LOT of receipts, know that these are all her known blogs.

I do not condone harassment. Harassment is basically what started all this. Just block and go.

Let me show you what I mean in the lie I’ve already mentioned - her very first one. :)

There we have the orange, telling you to note the date. That’s because I was wanting to make sure it was known that the pet posts were made on the same date that the discord was created.

And then we have the gross light green around Malleus mod claiming that this bunny is her bunny and that it was her bunny’s birthday recently.

Now here is the follow up with the gross darker green of a lie revealed. 😌

And there we have it! The color coding system and her very first lie told the very first day the Discord channel was active and easily disproven with an image search.

Now let’s get into the FUN STUFF! /sarc

We’re going to be doing some rehashing here but I’m also going to probably be including some new things so stay with me folks! This’ll be a ride! Buckle up!

So, originally I was thinking I'd start with the current drama. But considering that a lot of that has already been covered and what hasn't been covered needs more context, I'm just going to keep going in chronological order, I guess.

I've been up for over 24 hours compiling receipts, editing them to protect IDs, and then getting them all sorted so let's finally do this so I can pass out!

First up is something that actually has been covered a bit but I'm going to expand on it slightly - her blatant lie to @/elysia-nsimp (I'm not tagging anyone because I'm not forcing anyone to get notifications on this lmao).

Here's what everyone has already seen. But to expand on the event, we didn't call her out on her bad behavior, even though we probably should have as she had just lied straight to another mod's face about her blog ownership. I simply DM'd the mod in question privately to make sure they were okay and then tried to keep the peace in the main chat.

Because, believe it or not with this major callout post, I don't generally like confrontation. But I stepped in there for Elysia and I stepped up during this for Leona's mod.

Now, later that night, she posts this as if nothing had happened and she hadn't just been told that she needed to work on her roleplaying skills:

Uh huh. Sure. That's your last account. Because you have shown so much self-control when it comes to filling character voids within the twst rp community already. I'll be generous and give you a month before you break.

Now these next ones need a tiny bit of background information and a note: the Malleus mod is German and, as far as we know, lives in Germany. These next pictures are little indicators that she has not experienced the United States at all. These indicators may not seem important now, but they will be in just a little time. So keep them in mind for after the pause.

You cannot tell me anyone who has spent any length of time in the United States has not at least heard of Walmart.

Quick pitstop to say wow! You didn't even make it a month! Congratulations!

Also, note the question from the admin and the pretty obvious passive aggressiveness from me. We were sending plenty of hints that they needed to stop - sometimes coming outright and saying it, sometimes simply implying. Either way, we were all ignored.

She says she's not a mind reader. Well, apparently she's just not a reader period.

Now... a bit of an oddball here. And I want to say I do not necessarily think this is a lie. I am including it for a lie that is coming. The one that I included all those America comments for.

I'm sure you will note that I said that I don't "necessarily think" it's a lie - indicating that I do think it could be a possibility. That would be correct.

She has been lying since day one and, after this doozy of a story I'm about to share with you, I honestly don't know what to believe when it comes to her.

So.. to sum this up...

We went from a cringe ask from an OC account that she didn't want to answer -> the asker wasn't supposed to be on tumblr because they were underage (???) and was trying to date her irl and somehow had all of her information (oh but don't worry guys she deleted the ask!) -> he found her social media accounts and sent her NSFW pictures and started spam liking, demanding pictures of her kids, sent pictures of her at-the-time boyfriend, sent pictures of his family and his kids -> so she blocked him on everything and then started spam creating the rp accounts to see if he did it with other people or if it was just her (...mmmhmmm...) but nope he was only interested in Malleus -> she then apparently moved to America for a bit to crash with her boyfriend because this underage person went to Germany to find he.

Oh, by the way, why was this guy obsessed with her? Oh, he was obsessed with German women. He decided that all German women were pretty. And she's German-Russian! And Russians have intense standards for women you know! After this guy found out she was German AND Russian, I mean... it was only a matter of time before he upped his game to try to find her!

Guys, she's not saying she's too beautiful for her own good - the underage stalker speaks for itself!

Now, since this stalker found her through her Malleus account and was obviously very determined, you would think the first course of action would be to, ya know, delete the Malleus blog. Right?

No, no, no! Then she would have to start all over and, of course, if she switched accounts she would be forced to make a post on her current blog saying what her new blog is and he would just find her there. I don't know shit about fuck but i Do know art things. So here are my Arcane hcs if and how they draw.

It's obvious but Jinx is using cheap crayons that smear her hands, the kinds where when you press just a little hard they will 100% break. She's so Poscas in my brain. It makes sense for her to use paintmarkers, lots of them can go over anything. Big and bright and Fun. Though there's something so distinct in my brain of her going over the lines again and again, be it to fill out any spottienes, or because she just Needs to, something about the repetative motion just doesn't click quite the same with anything that isn't crayons. And of course there's spray pain too, i'm not forgeting the bbg. These are the big statements. No longer just doodles or a complusery need to fill out the blank space.

Vi never got to it. She was, of course, a little kid once, with a bright imagenation she'd share with Powpow to play, and scare, and giggle till they're colapsing into eatchother. So she did draw, she did. But it wasn't comfort, she sought that in other things. So, truly, i can see her only doing crude little doodles when Jinx actualy draws on paper, in the few spare corners that are there. And it's....nice, in a way. It'll be a little monster or a shitty (intentionaly bad, i mean) rendition of whoever's around she can giggle with Jinx about.

Mel is doing oil(paints and pastels!!!! pastels are more for fine fine aditions and long travels). Case closed. Go home folks. She's been doing this since young. Found a type of...solice and fascination in the old masters renditions. I can see Noxus having art as a means of glorifying the endless battle, dying in one. You know how it is. But Mel got good outside of that too. I think her the type to never truly proach portaits, she knows people well enough. It's the nature of Places, how they change, how they Feel, the wind and the sky, how waters curl and fold. It never got to be serious for her? She's dedicated a lot of time to it. Of course. She's been tought by the best. But it's a quiet passion, one she indulges in for herself.

We knowwwww Jayce sketches Viktor in his notebook. No shit that man has careful, steady hands when he needs them. He's an enginear. So i don't think the type of drawing he does is often in the artistic, but he has a control over his movements just as anyone who's worked that part of their brain long enough. So it's easy. And, yeah, Okay, maybe not easy, but when he's more so outside of himself than brainstorming, he'll drift...little curl of hair there....that soft look Viktor gets when he smiles here...and how his hands hold his cane in small, controled lines. He's not messy, he's just A Lot, and his notes reflect how he thinks things over. If Viktor gets i there then what of it?

You throw Anything at Ekko and he's done it. Acrylics? Water color? Guash? Chalk? Pastels(both kinds)? Color pencils? The boring kind(grafite)? Charcoal? Ink? Markers? The child kind? Alchochol markers(adult)? Printing? Yeahhhhhh, he's figured it out. And if he hasn't then he could. We've seen the murals, the wip paingings in AU!Powders hideout. He has a range of skill, eve if we've seen Paint mostly, it's a similar thing with Jayce in my mind. He'd simply find a way in a new medium because he already has an in depth experiance. Of course, it's still Zaun we're talking about, you get what you can, and that only makes me believe more that Ekko will Figure It Out with what he has. His materials aren't reflective of his skill. The kind that he's been building on since being little. It can't take up as much of his time as he'd like, he has a community to care for, but art is still a presance in his life, one which he clearly has a care for.

hi there! recent art school grad here and i was wondering if u have any tips on learning color + approaching backgrounds? even though i learned a lot, i still find myself struggling with these focuses, especially colors as i never had a class that really taught me that. thanks so much 💗 your work is so lovely

First off, congrats on graduating!! Backgrounds and colors have always been the hardest for me lol tbh I still struggle a lot with colors especially, so please take everything I say with a grain of salt!

Using adjustment layers helps me a lot (especially color balance to make things more unified or complementary).

Another thing that I think has REALLY helped me with color overall is actually switching between color and grayscale.

In photoshop I set up a custom proof profile and then am able to switch back and forth by using the hotkey Ctrl + Y. This helps me check my values which, I've found if you have solid values, colors tend to work so much better even if you don't know much about what you're doing lol. Another way to do this is making a solid black layer on top of all your color layers and setting the blending mode to "Color". Then you can toggle that on and off to look at the values.

One last thing I've played with re: colors is finding a reference that has the colors I like and "crystalizing" it and color picking a palette from that.

This can be super helpful if you're having a hard time visualizing or coming up with a color palette!

As for backgrounds, they became a lot easier for me when I started looking at them like their own character. Thinking about the story I'm trying to tell, adding little details that I think would add to that or be fun and fun ways for the character to interact with it.

That and doing value sketches/just a bunch of really quick and sloppy experiments. 9 times out of 10, they don't work out, but sometimes they spark something that turns into something fun and workable!

This has gotten really long for someone that really just bs's their way through every piece, but I will say one thing that was a big game changer for me (in my personal opinion, who knows if other people think so lmao) and it's just incorporating aerial perspective. Making things a bit more blue tinted (or whatever the sky color is) and lighter as they recede into the background. Has made a huge difference for me when it comes to creating depth!

I really don't know if any of this is helpful because to be 100% honest, most of my illustrations are just product of trial and error lol. But practicing and making a lot of really bad scribbles have (I think) helped me the most, so yeah my biggest advice with anything is just look at lots of art, just draw and don't worry if it looks bad because tbh, it probably will at first. But you'll get better!

@tamberella Has a ton of amazing free resources and brushes, so if you haven't checked out their stuff, definitely do so!

@iniro also has some really nice tutorials on color (and other topics) available so I'd also recommend looking at those too!

But yeah, sorry for going on about my hair-brained process, I hope at least some of this was helpful!

Does he have beastmen characteristics if his dad's from Savannaclaw? Does he inherit Idia's hair? Can he transform into octopus/eel/dragon form? Hand slipped. Anyway Yutu wears a pretty big sweatshirt sweater dress type thing that obscures a lot of his facial features though I did briefly play with the idea of him wearing a sort of mask similar to an FFXIV ash mask:

The justification was that the air in the future timeline! Twisted Wonderland was so polluted by blot and Yutu was so used to breathing it he needed some magical assistance... I think I also wrote some bullshit about the mask applying a glamour to Yutu so he didn't need to wear the big sweatshirt, but I feel like the mask would be more suspicious than just some guy who wants to keep his hood up.

As for those unique features, yes. With the exception of Malleus! Yutu, all of the non human Yutus found themselves transforming into an entirely different species when they came through the mirror into Twisted Wonderland. It was an extremely painful experience, imagine having your parent basically die in your arms and the next thing you know you are turning into a giant pacific octopus on the floor of a castle in front of a bunch of people. Yutu should be rewarded for not losing his shit then and there. The beastmen Yutus needed some time to adjust to having stronger hearing and senses of smell, the merfolk Yutus basically missed the first few months of magic education getting used to their merfolk forms, and Yutu Shroud had his hair instantly set itself on fire and had a massive panic attack. The beastmen Yutus have to keep their extra features tucked underneath their hoodie, which is very frustrating for Jack! Yutu who has a lot of floof that suddenly has nowhere to go. Lilia! and Sebek! Yutu don't have any noticeable appearance differences (unless you like the thought of him having Sebek's hair color), but I do like the idea of their teeth getting sharper. I prefer to leave a lot of Yutu's appearance up to the reader, but I had a super clear picture of Riddle! and Epel! Yutu as being short, and the more I think about the merfolk... I see Floyd! Yutu as being a sort of middle ground between his parents's height and Jade! Yutu as being about as tall as his dad. Oh and Azul! Yutu is taller than his dad, he is a bulky boy.

Now. Malleus! Yutu. So dragon fae hatch from eggs that can only be created out of love and constantly need to receive magic from their loving parent. That clearly didn't happen with Yutu, so I don't think he can transform into a dragon. He is still clearly inhuman, he has Malleus's eyes and ages much more slowly than other humans, even in your world he looked really young for his age. Think of Malleus! Yutu as sort of playing by half-elf rules, he's going to be living for hundreds of years and as he gets older he will grow tiny horns and some scales around them. He is also the strongest of the Yutus magically speaking, he did get some love from his father after all.

I did have a thought of sorts about the whole egg thing... I mentioned before that I had played with the idea of giving certain Yutu's siblings, and while I am still uncertain of the others I can see Malleus! Yutu having a twin of sorts who did hatch out of an egg, who can transform into a dragon, and who would have been left behind in Twisted Wonderland. I have so many ideas I wrote a lot of them down but this au is already so complicated I don't know if I want to add her. I do really like it though...
