I’ve only been into/started following MotoGP for a few months. Can I ask how exactly did Marc getting the Ducati seat go down? I’ve seen references of it being jorge messing up/rejecting the seat and that somehow leading to Marc masterminding his way to it but don’t fully get it. Thank you :))))

okay so the beginning of this season going towards the middle was like. genuinely dominated by discussion of who would end up with the second factory ducati seat, and there were 3 main candidates for the position: 1. enea bastianini, who had the seat but who had had a spotty 2023 marred by injury and was delivering inconsistent results in the early part of 2024, 2. jorge martin, who had been basically promised the seat ahead of them uno reversing and signing enea, and who had contended for the title the year before/was leading the world championship early in 2024, and 3. marc marquez, 8 time world champion and arguable GOAT of the sport, who was doing insane comeback rides on a year old bike that he had very little time to adapt to. on pure results, you would have to go with martin (it was p clear it wasnt going to be my girl enea....), but marc looked uh. very promising and very dangerous (apparently his data, ESPECIALLY in the left handers, was like. bonkers), and who was also undeniably a better business asset to ducati as a company trying to sell motorbikes. and as we all knowwwwww, ducati had BY FARRRR the most dominant bike on the grid, so they are staring down the barrel of like. deciding between three excellent riders for one, extremely coveted seat. they think they hold all the cards here, and after a bit of rampant speculation the ducati bosses say everybody calm the fuck down we will make a decision about the gp25 seat at MUGELLO. forza. and with that the stage is set.

but again. ducati had basically promised jorge martin that seat. in fact, there was a provision in his contract that said if he won the world title in 2023, he would automatically be promoted to the factory team. like if marc doesnt come in on his merry way essentially doing a year long AUDITION for that seat up-to and including crowd-commanding theatrics, then it is undeniably martin's bike to have. and it looks like ducati kinda thought they should honor that too! because it was reported (unofficially but through a multitude of reliable sources) on the thursday before mugello that jorge martin WOULD be signing with the factory ducati team to be in red for 2025 IMMINENTLY. and he shows up to the presscon with the moon shinging out of his ass and we didnt rlly have a reason to doubt him so things are looking pretty locked up tbh

so another piece of the puzzle. for the last few years one cog in the wheel of ducati's dominance has been them having EIGHT bikes on the grid, and as such having insane amounts of data to comb through and synthesize while developing the bike. at the time, the team with the most factory support is pramac racing. but YAMAHA have made a promise to a young shirtless man named fabio quartararo that they will get a satellite team for 2024 to help with THEIR efforts, and pramac's contract with ducati is expiring so theyre the top choice. yamaha offers them a fuck you amount of cash and full factory support to leave ducati and come run the M1s with them. and the thing is, it is EXPENSIVE to run an independent team and this sugar daddy style deal would essentially lock down their immediate future quite nicely, so they are thinking HARD about this— because if they lose jorge martin like. what the fuck are they doing not taking that deal. and YOU are asking me girl what the fuck does this had to do with marc marquez WELLLLL. ducati know that marc wants a gp25. and pramac has the factory spec bikes. and marc's famous ass is a VERY valuable little bargaining chip in their eyes. so ducati APPARENTLY wanted marc on the same deal jorge martin was on (complete with the promise of factory promotion if he won the championship) at PRAMAC in order to keep marc, jorge martin, and pramac all under the umbrella of ducati racing. they think problem solved :) we get to keep everything and everyone :) marc gets a current spec bike, jorge gets to be on the factory team, and we can still run eight bikes :) awesome.

WELL! marc catches wind of all of this and goes. fuck you i want to be a factory rider on a gp25. like why on earth would he move from busted satellite team to busted satellite team that doesnt even have his BROTHER ? so instead of keeping all of these negotiations behind closed doors he trots right the fuck up to the press at mugello and says hello yes i have ABSOLUTELY no intention of riding for pramac, in fact i only have the intention of riding with factory teams. big smile. fuck you. press run wild. domino tipped. pramac pissed off. ducati SWEATING.

AND i guess the ducati CEO (claudioooooo) was there. and some big sponsorship guys (audiiiiiii) were there. and it has been LONG been reported that gigi daligna really wanted marc for that seat (and that pecco REALLY didnt lmao). like bad. some would say carnally. and then i guess they looked at his data. and thought about how well he had already adapted to the gp23. and how badly he was beating bez and company. and i suppose the idea of actually losing marc and him going to a KTM or an aprilia scared the actual genuine NIPS off of these guys and literally by sunday night they had apparently called jorge martin to let him know that it wasnt going to be him and he went over to aleix and got that aprilia contract signed genuinely immediately (and enea later signed with ktm and pramac with yamaha). so the aprilia news was announced on monday and we knew marc was the choice from that, and then they announced it officially in the dumbest smuggest little video of all time a lil while after. but not before marc took a selfie in a shirt that said FACTORY PILOT that he later lied about and said wasnt on purpose. king. done and dusted. insanity.

so to recap: in the course of four days, marc essentially pulled a coup out of thin air by just. deciding to exercise some muscle with the press, which caused ducati to lose two bikes, secured the best seat on the grid for himself, and made sure that two of the riders that finished top four in this year's championship (including the CHAMPION) are on much worse machines going into next year. like he literally created the best possible outcome for himself by virtue of his reputation, media savvy, and sheer force of will. it was absolute crazy shit and SO much fun to watch play out live

Friends In Time

Post The End Swap (I need a better name)

Also here an extra drawing I made of Todd/Scratch. Sorta like a deltarune sort of thing I think. This one is not an AU btw, I just wanted an excuse to draw him with a sword.

Below will have an info about these 2 AUs, so I'll be rambling bout it below. :)

Friends In Time

★ This AU is inspired by the Gravity Falls AU called Twins in Time. I love that AU and be like, "Hey what if Young Scratch and Adia got sent to the past but they ended up with eachother present self?"

★ This AU takes place after the 'All In The Mind' episode.

★ Scratch and Molly was messing around with the rare curses (Molly's idea) and Scratch accidentally messed it up, resulting for a portal to open up in the past and young Adia fall in it and she ended up in the present with Molly and Scratch. Past Scratch sort of witness how his friend just dissappear through a portal infront of him, another portal open up behind young Scratch and he falls in it. But instead of ending up with Molly and present Scratch, past Scratch ended up with present Adia. This left everyone confused. Especially present Adia.

★ Molly was kind of excited with the situation since she got to meet her ghost best friend old best friend. Though Scratch suggested for Molly to not reveal anything to Past Young Adia. (I mean hey, seeing your best friend kind of 'died' in the future isn't very nice to know.) I think they'll try to change Scratch name incase. He called himself Duke. They'll reveal about it later.

★ With Present Adia and Past Young Todd/Scratch, despite being confused, they both went on an adventure together while trying to get back to Brighton and find Past Young Adia.

★ Past Young Adia stick around until 'The End' episode. Present Adia with Past Young Todd/Scratch finally reach Brighton during The End too and they visit Todd's house, which also the same time Molly and Scratch and with Past Adia were there to see them.

★ The End would be a bit different than the original. Adia and Scratch finally have a talk before he goes back to his body. The Past selves are sent back to the past. And both Adia and Molly would try to help Scratch remember his time as a ghost before he and Adia went on their adventure together.

Post The End Swap

★ This is basically a personality swap between Scratch and Molly after 'The End'. Or a swap, literally. Thanks to Bill, one of the TGAMM creator for telling us what will Season 3 be like if Disney gave them a green light. This just gave me an idea on how this story would go.

★ In this AU, Scratch did not die. He is still alive and healthy and did not get into any hang-gliding incident.

★ But in this AU, Molly finally gave up her soul after experiencing the rough aftermath of how it gets harder to try to enhappify people, making Brighton better and losing people she love. (Patty becoming a ghost and Ollie moving away) She became lost and hopeless as years went on till high-school. Feeling less joy also made her wraith form change colour to pink like her eyes but a bit dull and a bit gold.

★ Idk how Scratch and Adia will meet Molly yet, but when they did Molly put a curse on them. The same curse that made Scratch got pull to Molly's side whenever she calls for him, but it's Molly who got dragged to Scratch's side when he said her name.

★ Molly had been a ghost for about a month or two. Ofc her family and friends are aware and tries to find Molly's ghost but unsuccessful. The Chens who now stay in another place after the move also being informed by the Mcgees about the situation too.

★ As for being a ghost for too long, Molly's memories started to become fuzzy and she had a hard time recalling them, slowly losing her memories and forgetting who she is. Though it's not as bad as Scratch, but she just had a hard time recalling. She forgot her name and only remember that it probably starts with a M. So Scratch just called her Moll and his reasoning is, "Idk, you just look like a Moll person." Which confused Molly, Adia and himself with it.

★ And yes, these two duo has no idea who the other are due to memory lost. Molly having a harder time to recognise Scratch since he is Todd now and alive instead of the ghost buddy she always remembers. (Same with Scratch as deep down he remember his friend being a human instead of a ghost, and the change of her wraith colour instead of gold is also less helping.) But the name sorta ring a bell for her a bit.

★ Together they tried to uncover Molly's memories as Molly follow Scratch and Adia through the adventure. Plus without them realising, they're also gonna uncover Scratch's memories too! Now it's The Ghost and and Todd/Scratch Mortenson, with Scratch being the optimistic one and Molly being EMolly or realistic and hopeless, or just season 1 Scratch but it's Molly, and Scratch is Molly but in Scratch own way, yk?

Welp these are the info I have about these 2 AUs for now. There are still more TGAMM AUs that I would love to share more in the future! Like there's ALOT in my notes. Wish I could make a fic for all of 'em. Anyways cya and have an enhappifying day/night!

It's me... I am part of the problem.

I have read so many posts from people who are very negative about Chenford this season, and I won't pretend that I have been 100% happy. It has been weird that there haven't been clear "small doses". But I enjoyed them trying to work together and try to be professional when that has never really been a strong suit for them.

But yesterday, I read someone's post where they wrote that anyone who wants Chenford to get back together or hook up in the 7x06 episode is the FUCKING PROBLEM. So, guys, I am so the fucking problem. I don't want them to get all the way back together- that would feel rushed and be a disservice to us for not getting more to soothe our little broken hearts.

Episode 6x06 took my breath away, and I couldn't rewatch it for months. That is saying something because I am super busy with full time work and graduate school, I pretty much just repeatedly rewatch different episodes. It helps me feel less anxious. If you know, you know.

But I am so so so down for messy Chenford! They have fantastic chemistry and clearly had a great sex life. It would not be crazy to me if they were to "back-slide" and hook up. Is that the logical and best choice? Of course not. But I am not watching a drama show for everyone to be on their best behavior and making logical choices all the time. Bring on the mess.

I also haven't understood all of the hate I have read about the fact that Lucy and Tim did have a good sex life. I have read people say that their relationship was only focused on Tim being sexually gratified. Ummm, hello, he took a desk job before they ever slept together. He was already all the way in.

I am not sure how much I liked the "gratitude was repaid while dating" if it was meant to refer to sex. I don't think that is what Lucy meant, but I am okay with it if it is. Tim is hot, Lucy is hot they both enjoyed their physical relationship. When I was married (I'm a widow), my husband struggled with ED, so I basically had a sexless marriage. I will never, never do that again! I need a relationship that has physical intimacy as much as any man does, so go on, Lucy, get yours, too!

This is all my opinion, so feel free to think/feel differently. I read all of these opinions, so I also wanted to share mine. To me, it is not misogynistic for them to flirt and banter with implied references to their sex life. I would rather see a woman owning and being empowered in her sexuality rather than to just assume that she is fulfilling the needs of her man.

Bring on the messy! - My wish for 7x06 is based on the synopsis, promo, and episode stills that Tim and Lucy have that assignment together. Something happens to bring feelings up, which is why I think Lucy wears his necklace. Tim and Genny talk before or after this, and he invites her to go with him; I pray she questions his thinking and pushes him to start making better choices. Tim and Lucy end up in that room together (Is it a hotel? Or is it Tim's new house?) Then, I would love to see some of their chemistry explode on them. I'm cool with kissing or a full hook-up either way. Then they can have to deal with the aftermath in the other 11 episodes left in the season.

TLOU S2E6 thoughts

It’s fine I don’t need my feelings

But seriously, this was good. I loved all the light and colors and the slowness of all the shots, especially in the forest on the way to the museum and then on Ellie’s first patrol.

I think it’s interesting to get Joel’s confession to Ellie this “early” in the season (I think we only have 1 ep left, which is gonna be a wild ride). But it was also a clever move to not make them go back to SLC - I think I liked Ellie chasing her own answers better, but I don’t think this doesn’t work either. With how widespread Ellie’s issues with Joel seems to be, I’d assume that Ellie would’ve know what happened for a lot longer than the night before Joel died. Ellie definitely not discrete with her feelings, so I can only assume that her outburst at Joel when Eugene died and then her raising suspicions accounted for all the perceived “complicated” her and Joel’s issues were.

I’m curious about the context of Maria promising that Joel was family in the dance hall before he goes and intervenes with Seth - I would’ve thought that was obvious already.

Huge shout out to the writers, like for the whole series, but especially this episode. I really like Joel’s dialogue when he’s leading Ellie up to the dinosaur.

The whole scene sequence of Joel trading the legos for a cake, and then a bone, and him checking to see if Ellie was home, and then starts working so deftly on restoring this guitar for her. The quiet mastery and intention of his plan and craft is palpable. It’s akin to how I imagine parents are on Christmas for their kids, making sure everything is arranged perfectly and all the trimmings are there.

I also liked the progression of Ellie growing up with Joel and the little anecdotes as to where they all are in settling into Jackson. Ellie has already alluded to food insecurity for months when she first arrived in Jackson - I loved how the show runners clearly remembered this and, as Joel turns away to grab a knife, Ellie’s already stuck her hands in the food in front of her. That was an excellent response. Also Joel’s “baby girl” to Ellie when she’s crying and apologizing for burning her arm absolutely wrecked me. And he also tells her that he understands why she did it - I don’t have the words to explain it, but that felt important. Then they get the good museum birthday - a perfect day, it was probably labeled by both of them. And then they get to more friction as Ellie’s growing up and Joel is slapped in the face by that reality - bc he was approaching the day exactly the same as always, and instead is greeted by Ellie with Kat, smoking weed, a tattoo, and aggressive canoodling. And Joel never got this far with Sarah, so I can appreciate him mentally freaking out and the only thing that snaps him out of it is Ellie basically threatening to move out of the house in that moment in the rain. And he’s finally able to walk it back a bit and at least try and meet her where she’s at.

I’m equally surprised and absolutely not that it’s Joel who trains Ellie for patrols, or at least tries to. He’s trying to get back to where they were when Ellie was younger. But because of that fact, I feel like someone must’ve seen how bad this match could’ve been.

So teach me - Sergio Perez x Trainee F1 Rookie! Reader

Plot: Sergio wants to take a year or two out leaving an open seat in Red Bull and who better for Christian Horner to get besides Red Bull is the Red Bull Trainee who was there reserve driver last year and has been training for this moment.

"Sergio, are you serious?" Christian asks his second Red Bull member, Sergio had just come to him telling him he wouldn’t be renewing his contract with Red Bull and that he felt 2025 was a good time to take some earned leave from the sport. and not fully retire he had requested to be a mentor for the youth Red Bull drivers. Before he took time with his family, he knew he'd come back in a year or two, but as of now his family were where he needed to be at.

“Yes, I’m being serious. I want to spend more time with my family” he admits. It was getting draining, the travelling back and forth and not seeing his wife and children for weekends on end.

“Okay, but I’m putting you with the hardest piece of work you’ll ever meet in Motorsports, she’s driven to succeed and is a phenomenal driver but she has … well let’s just say she isn’t the easiest person to get along with and she’s put us all through hell. So if you are serious about this, that's who you have to mentor. She's quite frankly the only person I trust to take your place" Christian said, already thinking about how the hell they are going to announce the new line up for 2025.

It was lucky really, Audi were coming onto the scope in 2026, and there was talk that they were keen on giving you a seat since you were doing so well. So maybe this was actually a good thing, as it scared Christian more thinking of you in an Audi than Sergio out of a Red Bull.

"She's in the back, you can go meet her" he advises pointing a pen towards the garage where they stored different components and the spare wheels.

He walked through looking for someone that would potentially be this absolute piece of work that Christian had made you out to be. You from the way described were clearly on the younger agenda of the grid and he knew communicating with you may be hard because of that but what he didn't expect was a complete and utter lunatic.

He took one look at you and assumed you were basically feral, you had your helmet on, stereo in hand walking towards the garage where his and Max's cars were banging your head to the loud and aggressive music.

"Oh lord" Sergio breathes out looking at you, already knowing this would be a long 3 months of him training you.

"Y/N please turn that down! We're trying to work" one of the engineers working on the car complains as he puts the power drill down on the edge, not wanting to mess anything up.

"Arghhh fine Marcino, but you know you love my music" you grinned taking your helmet off. Your curly hair came falling out around it, in messy knots.

"Y/N?" Sergio calls out and looks over to you, he steps forward into the garage and smiles at you extending a hand. You shake it, clearly you had some kind of manners and decorum, he couldn't help but think.

"What's up old man?" you stifle a laugh trying to look as serious as possible.

"Old man? I'm only 34!" he exclaims looking at his hands to see if he could in fact pass himself off as an old man.

"Well, old to me" you smirk, picking up the bottle of squash you'd left on the workbench earlier, taking a quick swig from it.

"So, long story short. This old man is going on leave for a year or two and retire..." he starts trying to explain his situation to you.

"Oh so you are old old" you laugh giving him a pointed look.

"No- look let me finish, I'm retiring my car for a few seasons and for whatever reason Christian Horner wants you to take my seat, but before you do that I'm going to be training you" he offers and you place a hand on your hip, almost daring him to continue.

"And why may i ask do i need you to train me for this?" you asks, obviously you knew he was good at his job. It was Sergio Perez stood in front of you but that didn't mean your demeanor was up to slip and slide and make you look like an incompetent nobody.

"Come on, surly even you know that. I'm the only Red Bull in the last few years that has been able to keep up with Verstappen, you wanna give into the pressure like Gasly and Albon or do you want me to show you how to drive on par with the current world champion" he asks crossing his arms like a strict parent.

"God jheez alright. What do you want? You want me doing pressup's or neck training. Or time testing. Or you wanting me to show you how i can drive?" you ask looking at him.

"You think Christian flew you out to Abu Dhabi as a special guest? No your our test drive for tonight in free practice and you'll be driving my car with Verstappen"

"Oh its on" you say. The engineers step back observing the car.

"Go get into the suit Christian left for you, it'll be your first Red Bull racing suit" he says patting your back making you shrug off.

"Don't touch me bro" you say giving him the side eye before going and changing into your fireproofs and your suit. Navy blue looked good on you, you left with the Red Bull cap covering the face and walking back out to where Sergio had left you.

"You want some help getting in or?" Sergio asks awkwardly, looking at you as you walked round the car, a finger swiping around the halo as you got closer.

"Woah, I can drive the car I just cant get in it alone... that's really interesting how have i survived this long in motorsports its insane" you admit, looking over the car. One of the engineers hands you over your own helmet that someone had made look a little bit more like that off a Red Bull Driver.

"Alright enough with that sarcasm okay?" he frowns, he hands you the steering wheel and you place it in the car, you feel about getting familiar with it.

"Are you ready?" he asks slapping the visor down.

"Yeah" you smile, nodding at him.

You pull out onto the track, Verstappen pulled out after you which felt odd having a World Champion behind you on the track.

"Right, first lap do as normal get a lay for the track and what the car feels like. Then we can do a flying lap" the engineer advises.

You do as he says, testing the track. Your tires were good and the car felt powerful. You come around and some of the others pit, meaning its time for your flying lap.

"Push the car to the max without fucking it for Sergio okay?" the engineer offers, you chuckle a little into the radio finding it funny.

"Why put me in the damn car if you think im going to wreck it, no trust in me whatsoever" you frown, shaking you head a little before putting your foot down.

You were an amazing driver, however it seemed to most that you were fearless and a rather aggressive driver. Suitable to be able to match Max's driving style, however as a rookie you still had your mistakes and over or under judgements that in races would cost you places and potentially put you at risk.

You managed to complete two flying laps by the timer had run out for FP1.

"What are the positions?" you ask.

"Oscar in first, your in second and George in third" making you gasp in shock, you knew you'd drive quick but you didn't think it was top 3.

"Where did you learn to drive like that" Sergio asks you as you hopped out the car. You pull your helmet off and then your balaclava your hair falling around your face in a mess of tangled curls.

"Practice, by watching races? Why?" you say not really sure what else to say. You'd never had like a specific mentor, it was just the radio engineer and the team you were with giving you pointers in the debriefs on how to improve.

"You take angles that you shouldn't far to tight, making your tire management awful. Your aggressive and nearly took out Lando today, because he was slower on the straight. You have lots to learn" he admits crossing your arms. You got to argue back, having disagreed with the prior statements but you knew that would get you nowhere.

"So teach me..." you say leaning against his car.

hey yeyinde, what are your thought on langdon as a character?

do you see yourself possibly writing frank x reader or are you only interested in kingdon?

He's unfortunately overshadowed by the raw sexual appeal of old men actively in the throes of a crisis that keep wandering around the ER 😔 but I really love him, tbh. I'm also a sucker for an Icarus-like character who becomes their own downfall too.

But I kinda fell into Mel/Langdon when somethingdifferent posted their (incredible amazing perfect) fic and suddenly I was like yeah okay I see it lmao but I wouldn't be against an x Reader. If anything, I think he's kinda primed for the stuff that I was digging into a little bit before.

If I did do a Langdon x Reader fic, it'd be either a) spiral + bad choices + bad outcomes (unplanned, pre-marital pregnancy after his and Robby's fall out from a terrible one-night-stand); or b) flirting at work becomes a dangerous game that results in a pre-marital affair/emotional affair.

But I like the contrast between Mel and Langdon a lot more than trying to make you like the "other woman" Reader so I doubt I'd get into it anytime soon 😔

I really do like him though!! His particular brand of addiction is definitely close to home too (so much so that it's basically a sibling), so I think I empathize with him more than anyone else on the show (except Samira who is my "who needs a life and friends and relationships and a healthy social circle when you just eat, sleep, and work all day everyday???" crash and burnout eventually soulmate lmao), but—

(I put the rest under the cut because I'm talking about addiction, so it might be triggering, so. Better safe than sorry):

—I love that it doesn't shy away from offering him no closure in this season. And also, I'm really impressed that this show is giving this type of addiction more nuance than it usually gets in media. I've seen a lot of comments about how he "doesn't seem high/like he'd be an addict" and I think it's opening a lot of eyes to the reality of benzos/narcotics/prescription medication, which is definitely a plus because it's so much more than how it's portrayed in media, and I'm def a believer that media/Hollywood/pop culture is massive influential towards public perception of addictions—which unfortunately includes attitudes/ideas of doctors and mental health professionals.

(and on an aside—the puppy thing makes so much sense in hindsight, sadly; after the tampering reveal, his urgency to get his kids a dog was a real ohhhhhhhh okay moment for me lmao)

I'm excited to see his arc in season two. I don't think he's at a place where he's ready to admit there's anything wrong, though. If forced, he'll probably do the the classes, but I can't see an immediate recovery (in my experience). I don't think, considering where we left him, a few months later will change much when he wasn't even ready to admit what it was in the first place.

“She doesn’t like me.”

“What are you talking about, Vince?” You sighed as you looked toward your boyfriend who had been trying to win the small miniature Aussie over for the last fifteen minutes.

He tried everything.

Treats.

Toys.

Nothing would make that sweet girl cross over to Vince.

During the entire duration of your scheduled visit with her, she stay by your side; her head resting on you thigh as she slowly dozed off as you pet her.

“You do realize she’s basically claimed me as hers and we have to take her, right?”

Vince leaned his head against the concrete wall, Gus curly hair slightly jarring as he did, “I figured.” He grumbled out.

“She’s supposed to be my dog anyways, remember?” You reminded him.

After all, it was his idea to get a dog for you. That way you’d have a companion in the city you had just moved to.

Granted, you had the other wives and girlfriends in Seattle, but you didn’t know anyone other than them here.

Vince had been in seattle for over two years, fixing to head into his third season, but you had only been here for a few months.

You had decided not to move from St. Louis when he did, keeping the apartment you two had been living in while he became accustomed to the Seattle life.

You both trusted each other enough to make the long distance work until you were able to make the move to Washington with him.

“I know,” he sighed, “I just hoped she’d be both of ours and not just one sided.” He added, “How about we keep looking and not decide on the first one that gives us a cute face?”

“But look at this little face.” You said in a baby voice as you picked the Merle puppy up. Her blue eyes, that coincidentally matched Vince’s, darting towards Vince as she snuggled her head against your cheek, “She’s so sweet, V. We need her.”

Vince sighed and ran his hand through his hair, knowing he was losing this battle and that you were dead set on this.

You weren’t leaving here without this puppy- come hell or high water.

She was coming home with you, whether Vince liked it or not.

And he knew it.

“I technically picked her out and she likes you better.”

“And that’s my problem how?” You asked as you petted Harlow’s head, her melting into your touch as Vince glared at the two of you from across the couch, “When you got it, you got it.” You shrugged, which just annoyed him even further.

“I’ve never had a dog not like me and we just had to bring home the one that doesn’t like me.”

“You’re never going to let this go, are you?” You sighed as you looked towards him, his eyes on Harlow as she rested her head on her paws.

“Not at all.” He grumbled under his breath as he pulled out his phone. He quietly snapped a photo of the two of you as Harlow had moved to your chest by this point and was currently lying on your with her head buried in the crook of your neck, your hand lying on her small body.

It had been a few days since you and Vince had adopted Harlow, her slowly adjusting to having Vince home during the day and you both at night.

She still hadn’t came around to loving Vince as much as she loves you, but you really thought she would eventually.

Vince was currently home with her as he took a pre game nap on the couch, instead of in your room.

He was trying to bribe the dog over to him while laying down, which wasn’t working when he had finally fell asleep on the couch.

Harlow slowly crept her way over to him, her head nuzzling on his bicep as soft snores left his mouth.

You had walked through the front door, catching the two cuddling on the couch, a soft blanket pooling around Vince’s waist. A soft smile crept onto your face.

“Told you she liked you.” You whispered to yourself as you walked over behind the couch to press a soft kiss to Vince’s forehead, giving Harlow a soft pet.

Her eyes opened, seeing you standing there but she softly closed them back as she snuggled her head in the crook of his neck. Vince tugged at the blanket, his hands crossing over his torso.

The smile stayed on your face as you walked into the kitchen. She heard a bag open and next thing you knew, Harlow was at your feet, waiting for you to drop something.

A little bit had passed and dinner was finally ready. All you were waiting for was for Vince to wake up.

“When did you get home?” You felt arms around your waist, his forehead resting on your back.

He was still shirtless and you could feel his warmth radiating through your dress shirt, his hands coming around to rest on your stomach.

“About a hour ago, let you keep sleeping.” You said as you turned around in his arm, “but you had a little visitor that took a nap with you.” You grinned as your hands ran across his chest before looking down at the puppy that was staring up at the two of you.

“What?”

“Low was laying with you when I walked in,” you shrugged, “Seems like someone does, in fact, like you.”

The mention of her name caused her to perk her ears as she walked over, pawing at Vince’s leg. He bent down to pick her up, quickly cuddling her to his chest.

“Who knew such a big, strong man would turn into a puddle for a puppy?” You grinned at him as you pet Harlow’s head before placing a kiss on Vince’s cheek, “Dinners ready.”

“You’re the best.” He said, ignoring the first part.

“I know.” You chuckled as you walked down the hall to your shared room.

Did anyone else just?…. Hate the finale?

Monster high G3 Finale spoilers below!

Okay. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not hating on the being true to yourself message. That was sweet. And i genuinely got moved when hearing Headmistress Bloodgood talk about Deuce Draculaura and Clawdeen. That was so fucking sweet and op.

but? What the fuck. Did everyone just up and forget about toralei? Why did the writers think it was okay for them to completely spit on her and Clawdeens relationship?

We open and what’s the first fucking thing Clawdeen does? EXCLUDE TORALEI FROM A BOO CREW MEETING. Like?!? What the fuck Clawdeen. She did that shit in the season 1 finale and realized how wrong that was and apologized.

and so what?! She just? Forgot that shit? Decided Toralei was untrustworthy again? That all of their character growth meant nothing?!

not even that but toralei even calls after them. She almost begs them to include her and Clawdeen literally slams the door in her face.

then Toralei enters mentioning the little paws. And Clawdeen just shoves all the kids onto her and still doesn’t include her in the plan. She even shoves whiskerene on her. Which. Ngl. Whiskerine was acting a hell a lot like fucking Catarina at the beginning. So for Clawdeen to do that knowing Toralei’s past is fucking LOW.

NOT EVEN THAT. But what was one of Clawdeens last lines in season one? Something along the lines of ‘And I gotta help toralei recover with the aftermath’

CLAWDEEN DIDNT DO SHIT?! She literally didn’t help toralei AT FUCKING ALL. In fact NO ONE DID. Everyone continued to ignore the fuck out of her and not a single person helped her. Except maybe the Hawk cheerleading coach. But literally NO ONE helps toralei. Toralei goes through all the shit she went through in family day on her own and then all of that is just NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN. Besides one throw away line that her and her mom are in family therapy.

like HUH?! Then the finale comes. NOTHING. We have NO FUCKING IDEA what happens to her. We have no idea where she’s even LIVING. We have no idea if her Mom is changing. Or is still being a continuous piece of shit. Like?! Hello. Maybe I’m just being silly. But as someone who also has an abusive mother. As someone who connects with toralei so deeply. Too see her basically shoved to the side. Ignored. Left out again. Not get any update if things are going better or not. Is absolutely soul crushing. Like some Giant confirmation that her life isn’t any better and nothing changed and everything is still horrible?!

And what the fuck. Where did all my Clawdeen and toralei interactions go??? We were giving so much Toradeen and then it just? Stopped? Not even a crumb? It’s pathetic. It’s depressing. The idea that you build this beautiful friendship only for Clawdeen to exclude toralei AGAIN in the finale hurts me so bad. Like no matter what you try people still won’t trust you.

Whiskerene only changed because of TORALEI. Like. If anything, Toralei should be the wereruler. She’s made the biggest changes. She cared for the school and all the kids in Clawdeens wake. She doesn’t even get credit for that.

Clankie is adorable. I did love that. Draculaura and Clawd are adorable. Loved them.

but like? Come on. The shapeshifter ending felt like such a cop out. He shifts into a random polar bear form and what? He’s forgiven? He imprisoned people for MONTHS. Posed as others for who knows how many years. I’m not saying I don’t have empathy. I do. But I feel like they closed that aspect way to damn quickly.

I’m mainly just in tears about toralei. For them to give her all this trauma and backstory. Just to give us zero resolution AND have the boo crew continue to exclude and not stand up for her? That’s fucking heartbreaking

Happy Monday wonderful fandom :) I can’t believe we’ve reached the finale I’m in shock we're here. This has been my side hobby for 9 plus months. I started these to get through the extended hiatus. I wasn’t even sure anyone would even read them. The response I got was so lovely. I adore this fandom. So welcoming to any new Chenford content.

So thank you to everyone who’s read these especially those who've been with me since the very beginning. I can’t explain how much it has meant to me. Whether it was likes, reblogs or comments. Special shout out to my tumblr bestie @makeitastrength and @northern-neighbor You both commented on every single one of these. Thank you so much for your insight and sticking with me this entire time. Means more than you'll ever know.

I’m planning to do mini reviews during this new season. Then this same kind of thing during our hiatus hopefully we’ll have S7 locked in by then. *fingers crossed* I finished this before S6 which was my goal. We are only 8 days away which is unreal. Eeeee. Let us get started.

5x22 Under Siege

This episode starts off with all kinds of anxiety. Aaron and Celina kill me with not calling the noise in WHY.... Why didn’t you call it in? Ugh. Celina lying on top of Aaron protecting him till they arrive. Rip my damn heart out right off the bat why don't ya? I’m going to cry. I love Tim and Lucy showing up to the scene together. They’re clearly off shift and showing up to the scene with each other. I love these little details they make my heart so happy.

They’re a packaged deal now and I couldn’t be happier about it. Also like to note looks like Lucy is wearing one of his jackets. Maybe they were at his place when they got the call? The sleeves look long on her and I adore it. Basically living together at this point. I can’t get over it. Just casually showing up to scenes now. Ain’t no thang. This thought is where I live till S6 LOL

Anyways Tim says he heard it was Aaron. Grey confirms this is true. GSW to the back. Looks like the same spot Jackson was shot. Eerily so. Three masked men and they were ambushed. The painful parallels to Jackson’s death in this one getting me in the feels. Grey has them start to work the scene. Lucy looks incredibly upset but is trying to keep it in check. Probably feeling the Jackson vibes too.

Our couple arrives at the hospital with an update. Once again arriving together. I love the quick looks we get as they approach. That silent communication of their's ever present. Also she is wearing the necklace I must comment. It’s popping against that shirt she is wearing. Like to also point out how look at each other while the other speaks. It’s the little things I love so very much. Getting massive 4x01 vibes from this scene too. Reminding me of the scene is Wes's living room night after the hug. The height difference, the way Lucy is looking at Tim as he speaks. United front power couple vibes.

So much can change and things like this stay the same I love it. They’re reporting back their CI’s have nothing. No one has heard back about a gang targeting cops. Lucy has also hit a dead end with the masks. Their next idea was Elijah but Tim says nothing out of prison confirming that. Angela and Wes are working on the riddle. Grey tells them to head home they’re not getting anywhere tonight. Once they've all left Grey turning to Luna saying he can lose another. Ugh getting me in the feels so early in this episode. More Jackson feels.

Lucy and Tim get home late. The minute they’re back Lucy’s walls are down. Tim can see how upset she is. Another great callback to 4x01. To that hug. Only this time Lucy doesn’t have to ask for it. Tim seeks her out. See’s how now that they're home her work walls are down. She is visibly wrecked and can't hold back the tears any longer. I love how he pulls her right into his arms. Being the exact comfort she needs in this moment. He can't stand to see her upset. Wanting to make it better.

Tim grabbing her instantly is so lovely. Lucy crashes into him and falls apart. He gets to comfort as much as she needs now. How very far we’ve come. It’s been a beautiful journey to this point. Lucy is ready to fall apart in her safe place. Knowing Tim will be there pick up the pieces. Shield her from the PTSD this must be bringing up for her. I love how he encases her fully. One hand around her back the other gently cradling her head to his chest.

Tim closing his eyes wanting to absorb her sadness. The swaying and his chin on top of her head. *squee* I love her being fully enclosed in his arms. Also never be over the fact Eric improvised the kiss to her head. Forever squeeing about that fact. Our ship King is the best. Oh captain my captain. How damn intimate and sweet it is as he does as such. Then resting his head back on hers. Telling her ‘It’s ok.’ His hand in her hair rubbing her back soothingly. I cannot. Lucy was alone last time. Grieved alone and dealt with everything solo.

Now she never has to be alone again and I wanna cry at that thought. Getting emotional at how beautiful this hug is. Lovely ray of sunshine in a rather dark finale. I love this scene so much it made my chest hurt. You want to see outstanding chemistry in a short amount of time? Watch this scene. Melissa and Eric are glorious together. We truly are so lucky to have them as our ship. This is such a soft and gentle moment.

Tim pulling her in and wanting to comfort her has me all in my feels. Lucy has this wonderful man to catch her when she falls now. To be able to absolutely come apart in his arms. Knowing he’ll be there to comfort and keep her together when she does. Gah I love them so much. Also A + to whoever does the music. The song in this moment is adding to the emotional depth of the scene. Amazingly good. It’s been so on point in this season. They need a raise whoever does this.

They finally have some suspects to track down. Violent felons that have connection to the station and to them as a group. Lucy offers to check on one by herself. Grey says no and Tim offers to go with her. Because he loves her and wants to keep her in his sights. They’ve all been attacked at this point. Except for him and Lucy. No way he’s letting her go solo. It’s not cause he didn’t trust her to handle herself. He can’t handle her going alone. His instincts on high alert.

Lucy telling Tim he should be out knocking down doors with Metro. Tim tells her 'He’s good'. As good as he can be without letting her out of his sights during this. Only they could so effortlessly flirt while on duty. In the middle of an intense OP. Lucy letting him know she doesn’t need him to protect her. Tim is very aware of this. Says he knows. Lucy turning this moment into some very cute light banter. Saying he is telling her he needs the protecting. Tim being sassy right back with his reply above. God I love them.

Their teasing and banter is iconic. Lucy’s next line is fantastic. I know we haven’t had an official ILY you yet. But they’ve said it so many different ways this season. In moments such as this. When we do officially get it not gonna be a shock to either of them. Tim telling her 'Back at you.' Making me all emotional. They are such a power couple and the next portion of this episode proves that. I’ve always said watching them in the field is poetry in motion. This next battle scene is literal proof of such.

It’s a good thing Tim came with her. I don’t want to think what would’ve happened if she’d been alone. The creepy crowd coming at them. My stomach dropped. First Tim willing to sacrifice himself for her so she could get away. *heart clutch* Man would die for her and not even blink in the decision making process. Lucy of course will not allow this whatsoever. Valiant or not he’s not falling on his sword for her.

We get a nice call back to 1x18. Not only with Lucy saying they need to go to higher ground. Like he taught her in that ep but to show no mercy. Tim instructing they hurt as many as they can and then retreat upstairs. Lucy getting exactly what he’s saying because they’re simpatico. This entire scene shows that. Also LOVE Lucy saying they only stand a chance TOGETHER. Theme of this season right here. They're better together. Damn right.

What a bad ass battle couple we have. Look at this scene. Lucy calling the audibles in this moment and Tim following her play. Repeating it back and saying 'Copy that.' Gah I love this so very much. Tim trusts her gut without question. Not a doubt in his mind to go with it. The amount of respect he has for her in the field is immense. He was going to stay behind she said no. Then Tim instantly followed her lead after that.

Damnit I love them so much. Tim’s instinct is to always protect Lucy. Where her's is to protect them both in this moment. It’s never because he thinks she can’t handle it. Tim just can’t handle the idea of losing her if he doesn’t. Started from the bottom now we're here and I’m emotional. Also the song once again killer during this epic scene.

Love her touching his arm before they engage in battle in that first one. Look at them in the final two above. I know Eric said they had a blast filming this. They are so damn in-sync. It's such an amazing thing to watch them take these people on. Like I've sad many times before poetry in motion when they're in the field. I love getting to watch the well oiled machine that is them. This was that on steroids ha

Eric was so excited for us to watch this scene and I can see why. It so fun to watch. Taking these guys apart together one at a time. I LOVE Lucy taking that guy out and then grabbing his riot shield. Tim is starting to get overwhelmed and she makes work of what's around her. Running towards Tim getting that guy off her man. With a very impressive shove might I add. Sends him flying down the stairs with the others. They have to start retreating up the stairs after this. They are slowly running out of ammo as well. Backup has yet to arrive and they're battling the best they can to stay alive till it does.

Harper and Nolan finally arrive on scene. Nyla tells John to get to them. She is going to get her sniper rifle even the odds a bit. Unfortunately even with higher ground they’re getting ambushed from all sides now. It's now all melee combat at this point without ammo. Tim takes a guy out with pepper spray and gets a guy off his girl.

Who is literally choking the life out of her. Tim dispatches this guy with any remaining rage he has left. Smashing this guy's face into the wall. Making sure he can't get up to get back to her. All the while Harper being a bad ass snipping people left and right for Tim. This scene is epic af. I love it so much. One of my all time field scenes for sure. They did a damn good job with this holy cow.

Then we get an other beautiful parallel from 1x01 to now. When Lucy pulled Tim to safety mid battle. We get to see Tim do the same for her. The way Tim scoops Lucy up and carries her to safety. I’m not crying you are.... Power couple since day one they just didn’t know it yet. The way he picks her up and then shields her with his body. Gah it’s so good.

When the door opens Tim is worried it’s another bad guy. He shields Lucy with his body. Ready to take a hit to keep her protected. Not willing to let them get at her again. I’m sobbing everyone. The instinct to always protect one another. I’m drowning in feels over here in the best way. Nolan ushers them to safety. Never been happier to see John Nolan in my life LOL

They make it to the stairway battered and bruised. Gasping for air as they try to recover from what just happened. Let’s look at the no space between them when they land on the stairs. Tim reaching out for her instantly. Placing his hand on her thigh checking on her. TWICE might I add. He touches her twice there. While checking around to make sure they’re truly safe. Lucy reaches out for his hand on the first touch. Also their heads touching as well in that first gif. Gah this mini moment has so much to it.

Tim is grounding himself in this moment through those touches. Making sure Lucy is breathing and he can stand down to catch his own breath. Such an intimate moment after an incredibly intense battle. He almost lost her so he is reaching out and making sure she’s ok. He also needs to touch her to settle himself. It was to tell her we’re ok now’s and to confirm to himself she was as well. Damnit it's so good. Don't tell me one of Tim’s biggest love languages isn’t physical touch. It for sure is.

Our last shot of the season for them. Just a BAMF couple post battle. Height difference that I love so much. The check in’s they do walking away knowing this could've been so much worse. Battle worn and bruised. These shots always hit harder knowing they’re together. I would like to think they would fuss over each other's wounds at the hospital. Or at home. We shall see what S6 brings for that if anything regarding it. If not sure someone will write a fic. LOL

The lack of personal space as they walk from the scene always floors me. As close they can possibly be at the moment. Sure Tim is thanking his lucky stars he came with her. I don’t wanna imagine what would’ve happened had he not. Or what Tim would’ve done had something happened. They looks so exhausted they’ve earned a good snuggle and some alone time. Sadly they're still in the middle of case so that's a no go.

Look at our power couple everyone. They're ours. We get to have them. And have a season to look forward to. I was so nervous about the season ending. Knowing this strike could last a long time and it did. Luckily we are coming out of it. Light is at the end of the tunnel. Looking forward to S6 and all the squeeing to come with it.

This episode one giant stress. One of them being when they try and take Harper’s daughter. The panic in my soul for her. My goodness this finale was great.

Thank you everyone once again who supported these reviews. They started out as a way to fill time between S5 and S6. Became a truly fun hobby for me. I loved your thoughts on the finale, i honestly hope we get a full circle thing from their 3x09 where Ava was like "you are selfish, you are never going to put me first", so i think imo the most logical thing would be to have D prove her wrong. But we'll see. I was wondering what are your thoughts on their dynamic so far this season?

But re their dynamic this season...I think I said a lot of this in my little rambling post about this most recent episode, so I'll try to avoid rehashing it, but I do feel like we saw growth especially as it came to its fruition this week’s ep--and specifically, a kind of imperfect, not always linear form of growth. What I didn't talk about there is that I think the combination of big gestures from Deborah (eps 6 and 9 specifically), coupled with the steadfastness of Ava's devotion, in ways that take her into a much more mature space than we've seen her in past seasons (I'm thinking about her coming back day in and day out even as Deborah made her life hell, her choosing to call Deborah and try to talk to Deborah when she thought she was being iced out the night of the Oscars, etc.), allow the two of them to heal some of these wounds that have been quietly festering between them for years.

I ship them and love them and like to imagine they've spent many very happy days and weeks and even months together over the stretch of the past few seasons, but we've also seen them hurt each other deeply in the way you really only can once you've let someone in deep. And while we've gotten a few big gestures, like Deborah showing up at the funeral and climbing into a dumpster or Ava leaving her fiancée and turning down head writer of On the Contrary to be there for Deborah, I don't know that we've ever had such obvious forms of redress as we have this season. We see Ava forcibly challenging everything Deborah expects of those around her (that they'll leave the second things get difficult, much like we saw Kathy do at the end of s3 when she couldn't even handle the idea of what Deborah with Late Night would be like). And we see Ava really broken up about how many times she's let herself believe that this time, things will be different; this time, she won't get hurt. But here we see Deborah not just having to sit with that and respond to it verbally, but also putting her money where her mouth is in a major way and choosing Ava over everything. For me, it positions them as a much stronger united front than we've ever seen from them (which is how we get Bob and the contract and the company coming in to fill the void of end-of-season crisis, moving us from the interpersonal to the external as JPL set up the foundations for next season).

I also talk a bit about this in my 4.09 review (and plenty of the others), but I'll acknowledge that, beautiful as I find the moments between Ava and Deborah this season, it often felt jerky. The growth was there, but it was often implicit, the moments elided into guesswork for the viewer. Even at the most basic layer of time passing, it's really, REALLY hard to glean exactly how long this season lasted, and that shouldn't be the case! I don't need exact days, but it would be really helpful to get a sense (for instance, if Deb has 18 months left on her contract, I'm assuming it was about a 6 month season, but it's not at all clear when and where these pivotal moments happen within that durational span. Instead, we jump around, finding the characters at a particular moment in time with no real sense of how they're feeling about the arc they followed to get there. So kudos to Jean and Hannah for bringing a level of embodied intensity to all these scenes that at least lets us get deep, if not comprehensive haha! And my kingdom for a better script continuity editor next season, shewww

Jihye used to be a ballerina, before she even wanted to become a kpop idol. She was in a prestigious ballet school in Paris, France training and performing as much as she could.

During one of her ballet recitals she was lifted into the air by her male dance partner but his grip had slipped on her causing her to land directly on her left hip and caused a fracture to the ball side of her hip joint. She was out of dance for around 6 months and after that only trained by herself and left the ballet school.

All of the boys and management know about Rosalie’s hip seeing as how it causes her a shooting pain at random along with her lower chronic back pain.

Minghao is always considerate of her pain and is usually the first to notice when she’s hurting. It’ll start with her rubbing her hip lightly, then the hissing of pain when she touches a certain part of her hip, then she’ll law down on her right side with a heating pad on her left.

After their performance at Kcon 2019 LA when they were walking off stage, Hao noticed a slight limp in Jihye’s walk and hand rubbing softly at her hip.

He immediately ran up to her and put all her weight on his body despite him being tired himself, and held her whilst they walked under the stage. Fans noticed it just as quickly and whipped their phones out to capture the cute moment!

“Are you okay Jihye?” You could see the concern lacing Minghao’s eyes.

“I will be in a little bit Oppa! I just need to get my heating pad from my bag once we sit down.” She nodded with a smile.

“I’ll get that for you, you just sit down and relax.” Minghao stated sternly pointing a finger in her face jokingly. Rosalie just laughed and nodded with a thankful expression.

୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ CAN I HAVE SOME? time frame, 2023

Rosalie was bored, very . . . very . . . very bored. With comeback season for FML coming to stand still for her group she didn’t know what to do with herself. She had deep cleaned the apartment, organized her clothes in her closet in the rainbow order, she’s basically been occupying her time since this morning and now she’s bored.

And what better to do with your time than pretend you have your own cooking show to your fans, she already has to cook dinner anyways! Woozi was in the studio so she would take him some food after she’s done cooking.

The weverse live has been underway for around 25 minutes by the time Rosalie had received a call from the 97’ liner.

“Hello?” A males voice could be heard through the speaker of the phone. “Ah! Minghao Oppa are you okay with being on speaker?”

“Yes.” “Good because you already were.” Minghao let out a chuckle at her words.” Rosie set her phone down as she mixed the jajangmyeon noodles and sauce together.

“Why’d you call, I’m live at the moment.” Rosie asked.

“What you can’t take some time out of your day to talk to your favorite older brother?” He asked teasingly. “You know I don’t have favorites!” She replied defensively.

That was a complete lie, both them and the fans watching knew that that was a lie and Rosie couldn’t deny it.

The call goes silent for a second before Minghao speaks up “You’re making dinner right?” Rosie hums out a yes whilst nodding, trying to best to focus on both the meal she’s making and the phone call. “Can I have some?” Rosie lets out a loud laugh.

“Of course Hao, you know I’ll always cook for you!”

“Good because I’m at the door, come unlock it.” Rosie giggled.

“I’ll be right back Carats, Minghao wants some dinner.” She stated before walking out of the camera view to unlock the door.

It always felt refreshing to see one of her older brothers outside of the stressful performing environment. Once she opened the door Minghao stepped in taking off his shoes and pulled the younger girl in for a hug. The two walked back into the kitchen and in the view of the camera where the two smiled and greeted Carats once again.

“Oh it smells good in here.” He complimented “I hope it does, I’ve been working on it for half an hour now. Can you do me a favor and grab the kimchi from the fridge?” Minghao nodded and did as she asked not without peaking and seeing some Crème Caramel, one of his favorite french desserts that Rosie enjoyed making.

“Oh you made Crème Caramel! Please tell me there is enough for me?” He pouted cutely handing her the kimchi she asked for. Rosie nodded and laughed “As long as you come with me to take Woozi Oppa some of this food.”

Minghao nodded his head as fast as he could, there’s was nothing more he would die for than Rosalie’s cooking.

୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ FLOWERS, FOR ME? FOR YOU! time frame, 2018

Rosie was always picking flowers or talking about flowers. Her favorites were tulips, orchids, lotus, hibiscus, tiger lilies, carnations, hydrangeas, basically every single flower to exist she loves. It’s been brought up a lot throughout her idol career seeing as it was something very known about her.

At fan signings Rosie receives a ton of flowers and when I mean a ton, I mean Pledis Entertainment had to send out a notice and tell fans they aren’t allowed to bring her flowers anymore and to say that upset Rosie deeply, it did.

Every fan sign she was super excited to see what kinds of flowers she would receive and be told “You’re my favorite flower.” because you know her name is Rosalie and roses are a type of flower. You get the point.

The boys had noticed this and Rosie had expressed to Minghao how she was upset and would miss the flowers but she would get over it at some point.

Minghao didn’t like that. He did not like seeing his Rosebud upset because Pledis can’t handle the fact that Rosie is popular and enjoys receiving flowers.

So for their fansign that was coming up Minghao order the biggest bouquet of flowers he could. It included some of her favorite flowers in her favorite colors which he knew she would enjoy.

Everyone was on stage talking to Carats and messing with the gifts the fans had gotten them when Minghao had grabbed the mic and spoke.

“Everyone, I have a gift for Rosie.” Said girl looked up in suprise, she was just cuddling one of the stuffed animals she had been given when she was called out and was definitely confused.

“I know Carats aren’t allowed to bring Rosalie flowers anymore but nobody ever said anything about me getting flowers for our favorite Rose!” He exclaimed before grabbing the bouquet of flowers from a staff member and handing them to the youngest member.

Rosie didn’t want to cry but she couldn’t help it. It was such a small thing for him to do for her but it meant so much to her at the time.

“These are for me?”

“Of course.”

Rosie hugged him as tightly as she could without hurting him or the flowers, thanking him profusely.

Minghao helped wipe Rosie’s tears as she giggled, “The prettiest flowers for our flower.”

So basically, I think a lot CAN be done with the isekai genre that isn't because people are inherently misinterpreting what is interesting about the genre, especially from a horror angle. The horror of isekai doesn't come from death, or the big scary rpg monster that you fight. It comes from the fact that, in this world, the laws of nature are gameified. Depending on the system, from the moment you're born you are forced not just by society but by the very elements around you to partake in a role in society. We live in a world where the rules make sense, where everything has an inherent logical balance. But the more you turn life into a game, the more the rules must then lean towards a winner, and thus the balance is shifted. The horror of isekai is that, in a very true and real sense, the world is out to get you. And that's only if you're an NPC!

If you're a player character and you get Isekai'd, ohhh man. I actually think SAO does this the *best*, but I think it still could have been better. The idea of being trapped somewhere else while you're physically rotting back on Earth. The reality that many people didn't die from anything inside the game, but from the collision they got when they fucking collapsed and smashed their head into the floor. The horror of not being able to see your family for months, maybe even ever again, because of some minor coding error that someone else made. It goes hand in hand with the previous point, though: the acknowledgement of the unfairness of the universe in which a story like this could take place. It is a perfect setup for existential dread and cosmic horror, and it's ignored because it's inconvenient! It's not necessary information for telling the same cookie cutter power fantasy story that's been told 50 times last season alone!

And even if you WANTED to just use isekai as bullshit power fantasy wish fulfillment, there are so many more interesting ways to go about it! Solo Leveling does a terrible job at capturing my attention because nothing fucking has any stakes! You're telling me that I'm supposed to feel bad for Jinwoo because I saw him get punched by a goblin one time?? At least in Shield Hero (another one that is heavily flawed) you get to spend an entire season wallowing in this guy's misery with him. You see him get mistreated, tricked, beaten, see him lose everything for reasons that aren't his fault. The problem with THAT is that they didn't actually have good enough writers to perpetuate that misery, or to turn that misery into a quest that actually meant something.

Do you know why people like Homestuck? It's because it's a WILDLY imaginative take on the isekai genre. Is it annoying, obnoxious, lol random XD bullshit? Yeah, like 75% of the time! Is it instantly recognizable in its plot points, art style, weapon and character design, magic system, job system, and general aesthetic? FUCK YEAH! You take the top 25 isekai anime of the past 3 years, you lay all their detail points in a Venn Diagram, you're basically looking at a fucking circle. Oh, but THIS ONE'S about a teacher! Oh, but THIS ONE'S about a guy who's bad at everything! Oh, but THIS ONE'S A FUCKING PEDOPHILE (AAAAAAAAAA) Don't even get me started on the Appraise skill. Jesus fucking Christ, learn some different fucking plot points for Pete's sake!

For one, you can try basing it off a game that's not already been beaten to death! Why is it MMOs? Why is it ALWAYS MMOs? Is it because the first couple were MMOs and they saw that it sold well, so they just copied and pasted those plots with bland, pointless audience analogue MCs? (Yes.) Do something else! Try something new! Write your own fucking ttrpg and make them do that! Have them fall into fucking Worms Armageddon! Isekai where MC becomes the player in City Skylines when?

The problem with the genre isn't that we've done everything there is to do, and so now everyone's just picking at the scraps left on the plate of ideas. The problem is that it's become consumed with capitalist nonsense. Isekai is no longer art, it's a product made to sell to disenfranchised young men to make them feel special without earning it and make them feel cheated out of a life they were never promised. The same 2 ideas are passed back and forth like a ping pong ball, and people still gobble that shit up. It's embarrassing, and I say this as someone who is genuinely in love with the genre and wants to see it brought to the heights that I know it can reach.

the thing is, my older brother was mostly raised by my grandmother (and supremely fucked up by her but that's neither here nor there) because my mother was very young and a single mother (because my older brother's father was an abusive prick) until she met my dad when my brother was about 6 months old, and my grandmother basically bullied and berated her into giving her my brother by telling her she wasn't capable of raising a child and did all kinds of very low, awful things (and this isn't even accounting for some of the things that happened to my mom while she was growing up that i only found out later). and so, quite honestly, grandmothers who berate their children in an effort to raise their grandchildren for a second chance or because they've just decided they can do better or whatever are a very sore spot for me because of personal reasons and family history.

so while i can look at helena diaz, objectively, and think, okay maybe she means well, maybe she really thinks she's doing the right thing and helping. i just don't care. because eddie is her actual child, and she never tried to help him in any way other than trying to convince him his child was better off with her. when shannon left, when he moved, when shannon died, and after kim - it was always don't drag him down with you, he's better with us, just let us take him for a little while. always some reasons she could do a better job. and i don't absolve ramon of it, obviously. i do think it's a confusing mess with him to because he and eddie seemed so much better in season 5, but helena particularly just feels like - idk. and i do think there's something to be said for nuance but also. that is not your kid. there are so many ways to support your kid and you are not doing it.

anyway, i really hope eddie gets to scream at her and tell her how much she's hurt him because he got to have at it with his dad, and i think it's about time he let her know the pain she's caused to. i don't know that that's what's going to happen, but i guess we'll have to see.

Like……i just. Hm. Okay. So like

Season 8: Buck is exploring and having fun with his newly discovered sexuality. With tommy or whoever. Doesnt matter. We see Eddie dealing with the layers and complexity of his catholic guilt. Him starting to truly discover what it actually is HE wants for himself versus what he think’s supposed to want.

Buck throughout the season, while dating, is having fun and he’s happy but he starts to feel like there is just still something missing but he doesn’t know what it is. We see the boys stories parallel in that way for most of the season. S8 finale. Big emergency cliffhanger. Trapped dads vibes okay. Perhaps feelings come out. Buck realizes “oh shit. Im in love with Eddie” and tries to tell Eddie but then something bad happens. Bam! End of season.

Season 9: buck is reeling from this realization but like. They almost died so all emotions are on 10. They are in the hospital talking about everything but the elephant in the room. They talk about the will and what it means. Its heavy. Eddie telling Buck again that there is no one else for his son. No one else for HIM. “Its only ever been you Buck” and they are just sitting in this moment with so many words left unsaid. Both of them scared of the magnitude of their feelings.

The season continues as both of the boys try and navigate through what it means to be in love with your best friend. Eddie possibly working through having feelings for a man. Buck scared of losing what they have but also knowing that Eddie is it for him. Maybe mid season, they finally sit down and talk. Buck tells Eddie in so many words: I want you. I want this life we have made together with Chris. I love you. Eddie feels the same way. they both agree: we need to be sure, because once we go there, there is no going back. This could be a great thing for both of them but they have to be ready for it.

Now as 9B goes on, we see flirty Buddie. We see them basically together but not together ya know? They are happy taking their time cause they know the wait will be worth it. Now of course cause this is a primetime drama, some very traumatic/ dramatic will happen in the season finale. Now while nothing happens to the boys physically, whatever big ugly thing that happened, they just want to be with each other afterwards. They are each other’s home. We get a scene in the finale of them at Eddie’s house, on the couch. Eddie basically says that he doesn’t know if he will ever be 100% ready (more to do with his feelings about his own shortcomings) but that he is 100% sure about them. About Buck. He says I love you. Buck says it back. Then Buck proceeds to give his own love declaration. All these beautiful words about how Eddie has been what he has been looking for all this time. That this life is short (they understand that better than most) and he wants to spend whatever time he has left with Eddie and Chris. Cue first kiss. Cue thousands of fan girls dying. End season.

Season 10: now that they are together i feel like the lead up to an engagement could be fun. They are all happy and in love and they are sappy and Chris is making fun of them. Maybe on a call, or somewhere else Buck introduces Eddie as his fiancé and Eddie is like ????? And we get some fun spiraling. Eddie talks to Hen or something. “I would know if I was proposed to right? I mean we’ve only been together a few months???” And Hen is just like “yall have been Buck and Eddie for much longer than that” so that leads to Eddie asking Buck about it. Buck is like yea I said I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you remember??? And Eddie is like that isn’t a proposal! A proposal usually includes a question like WILL YOU MARRY ME? Again. We’re having fun with this. So Buck is all like okay. Eddie, will you marry me? eddie thinks he’s joking but he’s not. The moment goes from light and fun to intimate and emotional. We get some more “you’re it for me. I love you” Buck is choosing Eddie. Eddie is being chosen. Eddie is choosing to be happy for himself. Eddie says yes. BAM! LET THE WEDDING PLANNING COMMENCE.

(Now obviously this is just idiots ramblings. These are bones and they story would need meat and muscles to become fully fleshed out but. I just. Ya know. Had feelings)
