Ik raad het sterk aan om een internationale opleiding te volgen, omdat het niet alleen je netwerk verbreedt, maar ook je kennis enorm vergroot.'' De waarde van internationale studenten Timo Timmerman, CEO van SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences, is verheugd over de ontwikkeling: ''Internationale studenten zijn de afgelopen jaren veel in het nieuws geweest. Ze hebben niet alleen een positieve invloed op de Nederlandse economie, maar ook op de kwaliteit van het onderwijs. Een internationale leeromgeving is enorm waardevol voor de ontwikkeling en carrièreperspectief van een student. Het is mooi om te zien dat een groeiend aantal Nederlandse studenten dit ook inziet en die omgeving opzoekt. Interculturele vaardigheden zijn erg belangrijk in het bedrijfsleven. Civil Defense rescuer Noah (Nooh) Al-Shaghnobi provides an update on the situation around the University College of Applied Science in Gaza City

After besieging the area for over a week with ground troops and tanks, systematically bombing and bulldozing homes and businesses in the university’s vicinity, the occupation has mostly withdrawn from the neighborhood. In their wake they leave utter devastation, and the streets are lined with the dozens of decomposing bodies of martyrs.

While surveying the area, Noah and other locals came under renewed attack by occupation snipers and/or quadcopters, which attacked all civilians in sight. The scene is absolutely horrific.

I’m thinking of doing an extra sequel to my fic The Fear of Being Known including the stupid “Willis Todd is alive” plot line specifically so Tim can do mad science on him, and I really don’t know how to feel about that. Like, the whole point so far has been “yeah, shit happened, but he’s dead now so whatever lmao” and it would completely undermine that vibe.

HOWEVER, I think Tim should get to have an unhinged “this is me looking out for my brother” moment, and it would also be really funny.

weekly college rant for 7-11/04

yayyy so im finally on easter break, and its the last term break i have until i finish college for good on the 16th of May. super excited. i dont have many plans for the coming week, however, as typical applied science would have it, i have 3 assignments to work on before i go back to college, which sucks balls, to put it frankly. oh well. at least i only have a month left.

I hung out with my best friend for the first time in ages again and we got crystals the colour of each others eyes, so that's pretty cool. I also thrifted a cute pair oof cargo shorts yesterday

its been sunny all week, which is actually hugely motivating me to do some work so I can enjoy my last summer as a child quicker and for longer

I handed all my assignments in on time!! (this actually isn't that huge of a flex considering there was only one, but let me have this, okay?)

I'm lowkey anxious that I'm gonna fall behind on coursework once we go back, and if I fall behind that means I have to stay in college for a little longer until I have no ,ore outstanding assignments. that sucks balls because I just know I'm gonna be under so much pressure

I haven't done any leisure reading at all this week, mostly because I wanted to focus on my coursework but also because I just didn't have the motivation

so yeah, pretty solid week. cant wait to be done with this course

I'm not really doing it for the courses (they all somehow seem easier than what mine is offering) but for the french, but it'd be awkward if I misjudged things completely and this is all worthless to my degree because I already learned it in the bac.
