Does anyone know a good way to merge the textures between these two hairs or did I do this completely wrong
#All the tutorials online seem to be about making ponytails or adding bangs#I didn't just want to paste the bangs on though because the base hair is an updo#Theres probably a better way to do this and I'm just dumb sorry

Can i ask for Ruggie x reader with super long hair that’s always styled on a daily basis(kinda like marcille from dungeon meshi: braids, half up and half down, twintails, side ponytail, buns, etc)
RUGGIE X READER
Where your hair is very very long and always styled
The first time Ruggie saw you, he thought you were a noble.
Not because of your attitude—you weren’t snooty or anything—but because your hair was so perfectly styled it looked like you had a personal stylist on call 24/7.
One day it was a side ponytail with a gold clip, the next a fishtail braid that looped into a bun.
Then there were the low twintails with ribbon cuffs, and his personal favorite—the half-updo with the cascade of curls.
“Oi,” he called, squinting at you one afternoon as you passed by in your braided crown.
“Do ya have a secret team of forest elves helpin’ ya out in the mornin’, or what?”
“Nope. All me. Just wake up earlier than most.”
“Earlier than me?” he said, walking backward beside you. “That’s sayin’ something.”
What started as curiosity grew into a lowkey obsession.
Ruggie would start to guess your hairstyle of the day. He’d try to act cool about it, but he always noticed.
“Bet today’s a messy bun,” he’d mutter to himself before seeing you.
“Ugh. Side braids again. I’m off my game.”
But he loved it—loved it. Even when you were stressed, your hair never looked out of place.
He also started to learn which styles meant
High, tight bun? You were stressee.
Loose waves down your back? You were feeling relaxed and casual.
Tiny plaits hidden in your hair? You were bored and fidgety earlier that morning.
He even caught you doing a touch-up in the mirror once, and without thinking, blurted,
“…Can I help?”
You blinked in surprise, then held out a few pins.
He fumbled. He was awful at it. His fingers were nimble from pickpocketing and stealing, but somehow a bobby pin defeated him.
Still, you smiled.
“You’ll get better.”
And he did. Not perfect, but he started watching those hair tutorials you watched “for research.”
Eventually, on lazy weekends, you’d sit on a stool while Ruggie braided your hair clumsily but carefully, tongue poking out in concentration.
"Ya know," he said one day while looping a ribbon into your braid, "you're real high-maintenance... but like, in a cool way. You're like, fancy, but not snobby. Stylish, but not stuck-up. I like that."
You smiled at him through the mirror.
“You’re better at this than you think.”
“Well, I am a man of many talents.”
It was a regular morning.
Students shuffled around half-awake in cafeteria, and Ruggie was already swiping an extra pastry off someone’s tray, probably Grim.
He turned, mouth full, eyes scanning the room—mostly out of habit, partially to catch you and see if he was right about your "hairstyle of the day" prediction.
“Alright, today’s gotta be buns with those little beads you like—”
Then he saw you.
Hair down. Completely down.
No braids. No pins. No ribbons.
Just a long curtain flowing down your back like you’d rolled out of bed and didn’t look twice in the mirror.
He froze mid-chew.
“…Huh?”
You didn’t look tired exactly. Just… different. And not in a bad way. But to someone like Ruggie, who had never seen you skip a style, it was like walking outside and realizing the sky was green now.
He jogged up beside you.
“Oi. Hey. Uh… where’s the rest of you?”
You blinked at him, confused.
“The rest?”
“Yeah! Your… hairstyle. You always got, like, ten things goin’ on. It’s like your signature spell or somethin’.”
You laughed softly, rubbing your eyes.
“Didn’t sleep well. Woke up late. Didn’t feel like doing anything with it.”
Ruggie tilted his head.
“You sick or somethin’? You feelin’ okay?”
“Just tired. Needed a break.”
Ruggie went quiet for a second.
“…You know,” he said, scratching the back of his neck, “you don’t gotta dress up for people all the time. I mean, yeah, you look real fancy every day, and I love that. But, like… even without all that, you're still you. Still cute.”
“…Cute?” you echoed, a smile tugging at your lips.
He gave you a cheeky grin.
“Well, don’t go gettin’ a big head about it.”
You rolled your eyes. “And here I thought you’d make fun of me all day.”
“Oh, I will,” he added quickly, slinging an arm around your shoulder as you walked toward class.
“You look like you just came down from a mountain, y’know. Hair all wild and free. You some kinda cryptid now?”
You nudged him in the side. “Maybe I’ll make this my new look.”
Ruggie grinned.
“Only if I get to braid it later.”
“Deal.”
And some headcanons <3
Ruggie secretly collects little accessories he finds—cute clips, ribbons, even decorative pins—just to gift you for your next hairstyle.
He said that your hair could double as a makeshift rope if they ever needed to escape Crowley’s office.
He once tried doing his own hair in twin buns to match you and got laughed at by Leona.
Ruggie lowkey brags to others: “Yeah, my lover? Does their hair better than any princess I’ve ever seen. Every day.”

More of you | Jack Abbot x Reader
⟡ Getting ready for a fancy dinner gets interrupted by a Mass Casualty, but that doesn't stop Jack from taking his eyes off you.
— fem!reader. No body/appearance descriptions for Reader. Suggestive language and teasing. Established secret relationship.
— masterlist
You're watching a fancy updo hairstyle tutorial on tiktok, the girl makes it look so simple even if it's on a slower speed and you had to rewind some parts over the past few minutes.
You don't know for sure when you decided to commit to the fancy updo but you are halfway through and there's nothing that can stop you.
Jack sits on the bed, scrolling through his phone as he prepares for dinner. Black trousers, a black button-up shirt, and that slight smirk on his face as he watches your face through the mirror.
"You sure you don't any help, doll?" his face lightens up as he sees you, your tongue falling from the corner of your mouth, something you do when you focus. "My fingers work just fine," he says, the sexy tone coming up as his eyes scan over your curves and that amazing white dress he got for you.
"Nope," you reply, quickly as your fingers place pins, delicately and strategically. "I'm almost done"
When you're done, you squeal and turn around walking towards Jack, the bright proud smile on your face.
"Told you so" You do a turn, slowly, so he can see your craft.
"Nice..." his breath hitches on his throat, his eyes scanning over you. The way you did your hair this time gives him a different view of your neck and your shoulders, his eyes are glued to your clavicle as his mouth waters. "Good job, doll" he nods, licking his lips as his fingers slide from your jaw to your neck and all the way to your collarbone.
You are melting at his touch, his free hand coming to your waist to push you closer, groaning as he reaches for your neck and leaves a small peck. He takes you in, the softness of your skin and the sweet smell of your perfume.
Unfortunately, the phone rings, and is none other than Robby. He picks up, nodding and agreeing to everything the voice on the other side of the line says.
"We need to go," he says, worried, after hanging up and rushing you to the closet for some scrubs. "Mass casualty, they need us"
You don't roll your eyes, you run towards the space he made for you in his closet getting your scrubs. Changing was easy, your dress came off pretty smoothly and Jack cursed at whoever caused a disaster tonight that impeded having you in his hands.
"Don't-" he reaches for your wrist as you are about to take the pins off your hair. "You look good and it took a lot of work" he tilts his head, finding your gaze to lock it with his.
"They are going to-" You open your mouth, your words barely a whisper.
"Let them" Jack shakes his head. Kissing the inside of your wrist and dropping it softly to change his shoes.
When you get back to The Pitt, Robby stands his ground welcoming the night shift and the group that was off from the day shift. You and Jack arrive at the same time, your steps synchronized and quick.
"You guys arriving at the same time?" Robby asks, getting close to his friend to give him the primary emergency MD orange vest.
"Oh!" you glance at Jack. "Dr. Abbot, I haven't seen you in how long? Three days?"
You try to lie, but it isn't working.
"Just drop it, Doll" he shakes his head, putting the vest on. "He already knew I assume"
"Dana told me" Robby shrugs, his eyebrows rising. "You guys look cute, nice hair by the way"
"Thank you"
"It does look good, I like it on you" Jack whispers, fighting the urge to wrap you around his arms. "It suits you, it lets me see more of you"
"I might've taken it off, now you won't focus on the job" You shake your head, laughing as the soft pink comes to your cheeks.
"No, I got it" his smirk growing with each step he takes closer to you. "I’ll do the job and then fuck you 'til every pin comes off" Jack whispers in your ear, hard hand on your shoulder to keep you close.

My personal headcanon about Damian is that he somehow is really good at styling hair like complicated hair styles and everything I like to think that he used to do Talia's hair sometimes and also that he is fantastic at combining jewelry with them
OHHH I love this headcanon so much!! I can 100% see Damian being absurdly precise and skilled with intricate braids, buns, and updos—like the kind you’d need five YouTube tutorials to even attempt, and he just does them in silence with surgical focus. It makes total sense that he'd learn it from watching and helping Talia growing up—Ra's' assassins probably didn’t know what to do when the heir to the Demon was carefully pinning in hair jewelry like it’s an art form.
And YES to the jewelry pairing! I bet he’s got an eye for symmetry and contrast, like knowing exactly which earrings or hair clips will elevate a whole outfit. Imagine him casually adjusting someone’s hair or outfit before a mission or a gala and being like, “You're not wearing that with those earrings, are you?” Deadpan. Judging. But right.
Also it makes me think—imagine the batfam slowly realizing he's the go-to for formal events. Cass or Stephanie showing up with hairpins like “please” and Damian just sighing like “Hold still.” 😂
#We love a boy with style uwu#He's pull out skills no one's expecting him to have lol#damian wayne#batfam#batfamily#batman#bruce wayne#jason todd#dick grayson#stephanie brown#cassandra cain#tim drake#talia al ghul#Ask

SWEDEN - Peter Hägelstam, Johan Hellström and Matthias Lavesson
I will start with Peter Hägelstam, who has been the hairdresser of Queen Silvia for more than 40 years, him and Johan Hellström are the owners of Björn Axén, and both took on the task of styling also Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine.

Thank to the recent release of the book "Björn Axén – Haute Coiffure" and the round of interviews and podcasts, Peter has been giving a little insight behind the scenes of the updos we all love. Like how he clears his schedule when the Queen calls or that they do have a hairdresser station in the palace for him and his team to work his magic.
Peter Hägelstam is behind most of Queen Silvia's Nobel looks (apart from her regular tiara hair), even my absolute fave, 1991's Silvia with red orchids in her hair (he assisted Björn Axén on it).

According to Peter, they plan the hair so it interacts with the dress, if the dress is big and has volume, the hair is also big and with volume. The hair must be a continuation of the tiara, so his hairstyles are always well integrated in an harmonious styling. Peter also talks about how this Nobel looks fixes the wearer's posture, as they tend to have their back strighter so the hair don't come undone with all the movement.
Silvia and Victoria like to wear jewelry on their updos, so that an apparently simple updo, can be elevated with a little bling.

He also talked about some tricks like after doing a bun and just before applying haispray one last time, they pull a bit the hair so it has a little bit of more body, or about why Madeleine is the best with he hair down, not my words, just Peter's:
"If there is anyone who can wear her hair down with full control, it is Princess Madeleine. She has the ability to move carefully so that the hair does not move. An open hairstyle demands a lot from the hairdresser and this time it was Ring Ljung who received that honor. He is fantastic at working in layers. You don't spray everything into one unit, but the hair is a little articulated while still staying in place."

And you all would think, how much time do they spend doing the hair? Because one would think that this kind of intricate work would take a few hours, but that's far from the truth, because according to Peter, there has been times where doing Silvia's hair took a whooping 20 minutes. Maybe hair pieces and extensions facilitate his work and shorten the time, but even when asked about it, he doesn't confirm nor deny that they use them, he just talk about a little bit of help after Silvia cut her hair short and that sometimes, the hair needs a little rest. So in Royal Hair talk it is a yes, but we'll keep his secret.
Peter was also asked about Victoria's hair being always in a bun. He says that Victoria is the most conservative and less adventurous with the hair, and while I don't agree with him I get where he's coming from as in recent years the style is always a variant of a bun.

Victoria prefers her hair out of the face so her features are showcased, and she also has that preference because she has curly hair and as a person on the curly side, I know that the weather can change drastically your hairdo, so that's why she mostly wears a safe hairstyle to not worry about how she's looking. But what Peter also says is that privately Victoria does wear her hair down often! In this blog I always celebrated like a wedding announcement when Victoria wore her hair down, and all I ask is to have more of those days because the looks stunning like in her 10th wedding anniversary photos.

If you want to see how Peter works, he gave a tutorial on tiara hair in 2020 when SVT released a documentary about the swedish tiaras, just go to around the minute 20 and you'll see:
dailymotion
(@tiaramania I remember us being so excited about this when it was released hahaha)
Lastly, I don't want to forget about Sofia's hairdresser Matthias Lavesson, we don't have as much information about him like Peter Hägelstam as Sofia's time as a royal is just 10 years.

Matthias was trained by Peter himself, so it's not surprising that Sofia chose him as her hairdresser.
He was the man behind the beautiful updo with the black ribbon flowers in 2023 and that should not be a shock as he's also a head piece maker, so if we combine his two talents, all we get is combos like the ponytail with a huge ribbon headband on Julian's christening or a few headpieces on the opening of the Parliament:

As I said, there's not so much information on him and how he worked specifically with Sofia, I just found one interview where he talks about tips and products he uses (that's the last link if you want to read it). But what we do have is a testament of his work with Sofia's appearances.

What source did you learn how to do your hair from? I’ve started trying to branch out my hairstyles, but I wanted to know if there was a particular channel or blog that is super great for that!
No one likes when I answer this, but it's the truth: I learned by trials and errors, by myself.
At the beginning of my hairstyling journey (I've had long hair all my life, but only started styling it more than just basics hairdos in my 20s), I did use a few tutorials here and there. I think I used (and heavily modified) the braided updo tutorial by Keiko Lynn and some historical hairdos here and there on YouTube, but it's been over 10 years ago, so I don't recall which ones I used.
I did film some hair tutorials for my now defunct YouTube channel, but I have deleted them. I have one tutorial for my rolled bangs posted in 2021 on Instagram here.

Do you follow any tutorials for all those fun hairstyles? I've never been a girly-girl with long hair, and thus, I suck at styling my ponies.
hello!!! I'm so glad you like the hairstyles, my favourite part of collecting is styling their hair to make them all look unique! I was also never very hairstyle obsessed as a kid. honestly, my hair was more knots and tangles than anything else... I don't really use tutorials, this was all a bit of trial and error!! but it's very very simple, here are a few techniques I use:
🌿🌼🌿🌼🌿🌼
for sew and so's splendid twist braids: take two sections of hair and twist them to the right until they're fully twisted. then, twist the two sections of hair around each other to the left, in the opposite direction. secure with a hairtie! I find it useful to re-twist each section as I'm winding them together, just to make sure they stay tight!
for cute curtsey's fabulous fluffy curls: section the hair into around 8-10 different parts! twist each section until its impossible to twist it anymore. it should be coiling up like funny little springs. then, you can gently tie each section into a loose knot to keep it in place. dip her hair into boiling or very hot water- careful not to overboil her hair! if the water is boiling, 2 or 3 dips should do the trick. if its very hot, you can leave her hair in it for a few minutes. after that, dunk her head into very cold/ice water, and leave to dry! you can undo the knots after its fully dry.
for soda float's crazy crimped waves: this one is very simple! braid the hair very tightly. the tinier the braids, the better the zig-zags! but don't go tooooo tiny. each braid should be about half a cm across, give or take. secure the ends with rubber bands (although I have used bag clips- I've found they actually continue the crimping pattern all the way to the ends of the hair!) and use the same boil method as above. undo the braids once dry, and you'll have that lovely 80s look nailed.
for twinkle twirl's lovely ringlets: this one is super duper simple! just twist large sections of the hair (I did 6 in total- 2 for the bangs and 4 for the neck) until they're nice and tight. secure into groups with a bag clip or a hairclip so that the twists don't unravel! boil and ice and you're good to go.
for toola roola's snazzy updo: this one can be a bit tricky! but it's fun once you get it right. start at the base of the mane, and braid your way up. start the braid with just one section, but add more strands as you go up the neck. eventually, you should have braided all the hair! now, you can tuck the end of the braid behind the pony's head, out of view. I secured mine with a little clip, but there are probably other ways to do that.
🌿🌼🌿🌼🌿🌼
I hope this covered some useful tips and tricks!! I also find that headbands are useful in really making a hairstyle come together. just cut out a small strip of fabric or paper and use blu-tack or similar to stick it to the sides of the head! I stick mine at an angle so that the hair on the neck obscures the end of it.
thanks for your ask!

If any of you have specific resources for 30's and 40's femme hairstyles, please let me know!
Especially updos for long hair. My high school best friend's wedding is in a month, and she wants a vintage vibe (she just did her hair/makeup test and she's doing gorgeous vintage starlette waves) and I don't... style my hair. And it's too long and fine to hold a curl, and it's an outdoor summer wedding so I'd really rather put my hair up anyway.
So! Any suggestions and resources from people who are Better At Femme than me would be much appreciated. ETA: We're going to have a stylist! So in theory if I have an idea of what I want, I don't necessarily need a tutorial. In theory.

ROSES IN A UPDO. THAT'S IT. And I just noticed it after I ripped it for conversion!!
The control got pretty decent too!
Now, the rambling:
These last days I've been struggling with some hair conversions, mostly with the damned transparency issues. Initially i thought that a SN hair with fewer groups* = a hair that will have very minimal issues. The previous hairs I converted (nikki's and netga) had less than 5 groups, and therefore almost imperceptible issues. But one of the difficult hairs I tried to convert had like 3 groups and BOY, IT WAS A STRUGGLE and I sort of gave up. I guess that in the end you have to be lucky with the mesh that you pic, or have extra patience/skills to get rid of these damn issues.
*Shining Nikki meshes are separated by groups instead of being everything in one single group like The Sims. If you want to know more about converting thing from SN, check my tutorial!

Vintage Americana Coquette Hairstyles ♡
🇺🇸🍒💌🍦🧺🍓
Some Vintage Americana inspired, coquette, farmers daughter hairstyles for you to try this summer (with links on how to do them ♡) I’ve also given more ideas without links at the bottom.

♡ Donut braids - https://youtu.be/65p-CvO_HxY
These look super cute with ribbon attached at the base of them ♡
youtube

♡ Milkmaid braids
Try and leave some strands of hair out at the front or if you have front bangs/layers leave them out to give it more of a messy and dolly look ♡
youtube

♡ Braids/Low braids (add ribbon into them)
Always tie ribbon to the end of your classic braids to finish them off. It makes them look so much more classic and gives them that sweeter, coquette edge ♡
Other hairstyles you can try:
Classic pigtails ♡
Twin tails ♡
Two donut bun’s ♡
Hair down with a gingham hairband
Half up half down (add a bow) ♡
Low pigtails ♡
Tip: Add ribbons, flowers, hair bands, hair clips etc, to elevate your hairstyles and make them cuter! A lot of the braided hairstyles looks super cute with ribbons attached at the end of them or braided into them, and if your doing a classic updo, then add a gingham headband! Accessories to your hearts content <3
I hope this helped

want to dress like a medieval princess but don’t want to look like you’re going to the ren faire everyday? here’s some ~subtle~ style tips you can infuse into your wardrobe to bring that medieval vibe!
reminder this is for a general *vibe* it will not be 100% historically accurate!
• okay first up! hair! my personal favorite! •

try some fun braided updos, long hair on women was valued during this time and was often kept braided away! uncovered if you’re a young maiden, while older or married women often covered their hair with veils or hennins or hair nets called “snoods” (sometimes today they are also called “Juliet caps”). for shorter hair princesses i highly recommend leaning into the fun head coverings of the time or some simple bejeweled hair clips will do the trick too!
• next is accessories! •

chainmail and armor are some of my personal favorite things to incorporate for a more “medieval” look! these pieces add a bit of edge to a usually very feminine look! bags, head pieces, gloves, belts, and so much more can be found or even made! try etsy or lookup chainmail tutorials to find/make pieces you’ll love! i also recommend colorful or patterned tights! contrasting colored tights could be a great way to subtly nod at the color blocking trend that was popular during the medieval era! drop belts!!
• jewels! •

my best advice for this category is a very eclectic, colorful look! think a pirates treasure chest! you’ll see lots of jewels: different metals and styles and colors, if it looks like you’d find it stuck in the ground around a mysterious ruined castle i say throw that sucker on!

Inspired by the amazing @duchessofostergotlands and her weekly themes on Instagram, specially the ones about royal style in the 60s and behind the scenes, I decided that it was time to delve into the world of royal hairstylists.
A few years ago I thought about doing one, when Queen Silvia's hairdresser gave a tutorial on SVT's documentary about the royal family's tiaras, but life happened and I never entertained that idea. But now, on my 10th year with this blog, I thought that it was time to try and research a bit and when I found enough material to post, you saw me here excited. All I needed was to shape it into a coherent series, and that's what I'm presenting to you, the Royal Hairdressers Series.
A series of posts for each country in which I talk about the names behind the updos we love to see, put a face on them and a little bit of insight of their work for each royal.
I'll post one everyday in the coming week, 7 countries, 7 days, 7 posts. The order will be alphabetical, starting with Belgium and ending with United Kingdom.
Hope you like it at least half as much I enjoyed doing it.
xxx L
