crazy how disrespected whiterose is when its like. the root of rwby shipping. People were writing fanfic about them MONTHS before the show even came out, currently the first rwby fanfic on ao3 was abt whiterose. Like we didn't even know who Blake or Yang was yet and fics about these two were getting posted.

I'd go as far as to say that whiterose is the root of a lot of rwby fan content. Some of the first fanart in general was whiterose, the first fics were whiterose, and it was the first major ship. Its inspired or is apart of massive fan projects like dust queen, its just kinda insane to me how much people shit on it when its had such a massive ripple effect on the entirety of rwby.
