The fic I'm working on is Of Playful Days and Silent Nights. My dca teacher au which is mostly fluff with some hurt/comfort.

Or I could start working on Festival Days and Fall Nights. (the idea isn't new but i haven't started writing it yet) My human sun and moon at fall fest in the 70s au owo which is a tragedy story with some sweet moments.

Trying to figure out what I’m going to write next, I don’t feel done writing shadowzel by any means I just need to figure out what sounds fun.

I did previously start another modern AU that I got a couple chapters written for, and it’s a bit silly and could be fun but different than stuff I’ve written before.

I’m also thinking of AUs that aren’t modern per se but still not canon. Which is also so out of my wheelhouse.

But I wrote a whole ass single mom fic out of nowhere despite never having done that before and had a fucking blast so maybe I should keep branching out?

So I’m just curious. What AUs or vibes that you like have you not seen yet for Shadowzel?

What's Next?

Currently in the heat of finals season! hehe... Anyway, now that Arbitrary Lives and A Sinner's Redemption are about to wrap up, I have been thinking about what series-length fics I should write next. I already have some ideas, but I am also willing and would love to take suggestions.

Disclosure: Arbitrary Lives will get another few parts, so it's not quite over yet

Hi! I wanna start writing but I have no thoughts in my head. That's a lie, but seriously, I'm so tied between what character to write for. I may start with my favorite boy Shoji, and go from there. I have art block so I'm going to try writing. Idk what to write though here some of the thing I want to write. I'm listing my inspirations and the possible way it'll end (if it'll be a good ending, bad, ect)

1 after the world has fallen into dismay as angels have fallen and demons have risen the main protagonist has to protect her sister and find a way to live in her new world (inspirations are supernatural and the walking dead) (sad/bad ending)

2 after her village has been burnt to the ground and left for dead she had no choice but to make a deal. One that would cost her soul, one made with a demon. (Inspiration is black butler) (Neutral ending?)

3 watching as her town gets destroyed by demons she makes a deal to save her town, to save her family. The cost wasnt her soul or life but her mortality and ability to live a normal life. (Black butler [again]) (Idk if it will end happy or sad)

4 pinkie pie throwing a party to celebrate getting engaged (to cheese) when everything goes wrong she grabs the cake twins and has to run trying to make it to her family's home not knowing if her friends are safe. (Most MLP infection aus) (Happy ending)

Things we’ve forgotten as writers . . . ✍️

i.) everyone has their own writing style. some people focus more on feeling, and some focus more on what’s occurring. that doesn’t make them a bad writer, because some reader is gonna read it and finally feel like they’ve found their author.

ii.) you can be a writer of many things. you can specialize in a specific genre or you can master multiple types of writing, whether it be academic or simply personal.

iii.) sometimes, you need a little inspiration to create something. when cogwheels get rusty, don’t they need a little oil to get them moving?

iv.) you don’t have to be some word wiz or english prodigy to be a writer. tbr, half the best writers learned english second.

v.) DO NOT BE ASHAMED OF YOUR RITUALS/REASONS FOR WRITING. sometimes, the best teacher is experience. I’m not saying cheat on your partner or beat someone up or make a snuff tape, but I am saying find resources. find a survivor, find someone who experienced the thing you’re trying to portray, take notes! we may not always agree with what we hear, but it can improve your writing.

vi.) stop judging your drafts.

that’s why.

vii.) fanfiction is writing. it’s a real form of writing. you’re not lesser than any writer, you’re still loved.

viii.) your writing doesn’t have to be realistic if that’s not what you’re going for. writing is a form of art, and everyone has a different art style. some people enjoy a euphoric sense of writing, some people would be nothing without a splash of comedy, and who would they be without their dramatic twist at the end?!

ix.) your community is waiting for you, baby. they’re waiting for your masterpiece to add to the holy grail.

x.) writer’s block is real. it’s not fake. you’re not lazy. stop calling yourself that. to make your best, you must be and feel your best. A piece of work is only as good as its creator. if you’re not well, then your work will be sickly.

this post will likely be getting updated as we go, because the negativity and stigma that I see surrounding the writer’s community based on different “pRoBlEmS” is so sickeningly upsetting. like dude, do better. anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post and please feel free to leave a note and reblog :3
