I know we all love Secretly Silly Dragon but I think maybe the reason some people have a hard time picturing it is that we forget Silliness, like all good things, comes in many forms. I posit that Dragon’s silliness presents itself not through loud and goofy behavior like in his father and son, but rather through a willingness to immediately commit to any and all bits. This man will Yes, And you all the way down. He won’t even ask questions. He’ll just immediately start playing along, and he’ll stay completely straight-faced the whole time. This man’s ability to keep his face in check through a joke is legendary and his willingness to keep a bit going for years should be feared and respected. He once invited Ivankov into his office for a private meeting, revealed to Ivankov that one of the fancy mysterious boxes on his desk actually holds a bottle of bubbles that he blows when he’s bored, and when Ivankov asked why he would reveal this secret to them Dragon said “because no one will ever believe you. Dismissed.”

i would have loved an episode of Dexter that was from everyone else's perspectives like Dexter is just there doing his job with as much screentime as an extra and in the very background of other characters scenes you can sort of see him lurking but he mostly just looks a little weird instead of homicidal and then at the end of the episode the perp they've been trying to catch has mysteriously disappeared and Angel's just like why does this keep happening to us specifically 😔

i kinda like that we never see tanya after shes dead. we learn more and are alluted to what happened to her body, but we never get any long lingering shots on her dead "beauty" and im kinda glad about that.

they werent lying that knuckles series barely has knuckles in it
#i pirated that shit Btw just so we're clear. also gonna talk about it a little bit in the tags#nothing too spoilery but also might not wanna read if you want to go in knowing absolutely nothing? idk#anyway he WAS a main character still he was present for a decent amount of the first couple episodes#but the amount of screentime he gets just starts dropping after that . hes barely there at all in the second half ???#and it feels like theres a lot of scenes mostly focusing on wade and his problems and not near as many for knuckles and his whole deal#overall it feels more like a wade show with knuckles in it than a knuckles show with wade in it. which sucks#and human characters having plot relevance isnt the problem here i dont mind human characters at all i think they can be really fun#its the fact that the human characters are taking over the story and spotlight when the show is called knuckles#and all the marketing makes it look like knuckles is the main focus#and i also would have preferred if they just went with a differnet character to be knuckles' human friend#because i dont particulraly care about wade. and the knuckles (and sonic and tails) i know would not be friends with cops </3#well at least the story wasnt knuckles training wade to be a better cop like a lot of people were expecting but thats like.the bare minimum#also aside from the issues relating to knuckles' screentime (or lack of screentime) i thought the ending was unsatisfying#regardless of all that though there WERE some parts i enjoyed or found kind of funny or whatever. because knuckles so cutesy as always#knuckles being a cute little guy is the most important part of the show actually#and i liked the parts with sonic tails and maddie even if they were only there for like 5 minutes#(i really wish those three had gotten more screentime. i feel like they could have easily worked in at least one more scene with them)#and its a minor thing but the opening sequence is cute. was honestly expecting just a title card or something#overall the show is just . kind of okay i guess. not the worst thing ive ever seen but still disappointing ? idk how to explain..#my expectations also werent very high in the first place#so maybe im being a bit more generous than i would have been otherwise. idk#and i definitely would not recommend this to anyone who already dislikes the sonic movies . youll probably hate this more#like people who thought the human characters got too much screentime in the second movie would lose their minds if they saw this

so I accidentally watched like 5 episodes of Chicago PD while in Florida (while killing time) and so I was like ‘oh I like SVU, maybe this won’t be bad, seems like a good cop becoming corrupt story’ and nope. Nope. cannot do it. every other episode you’ve got two teams of 10 people each shooting up a city block with AKs on a typical Tuesday at noon for one drug dealer. they walk out dressed like they’re about to invade Kuwait as average detectives. based on this show, the city is always one bad afternoon from turning into mad max. and the writing is just bad for a procedural. like I live here. there are not gang shootouts in river north next to some of the most expensive restaurants in the city/country. the Michelin reviewers were not dodging bullets like it’s the matrix. not to mention these cops stop traffic violations all the time……..unrealistic.

Anyway I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- Ben, Gwen, Argit, and Alan could’ve made for a good team.
#ben gwen and argit also works as i've said before#i don't think ben gwen and alan would've made as good a team#i don't think he would've played off them as well where we're introduced to him#he'd need to get his footing first and i think he would struggle with that working with them#meanwhile argit i think he could play off of well and especially since for this#we would most likely be working with a more rooters-arc-esque argit?#i think that sort've argit would be better for helping alan get his feet under him than the tennysons would be#no insult to them but they tend to be strong personalities and having so much more experience than alan?#and being morally grey-ish characters treated and being declared in universe to be porally upstanding?#i think he might get overwhelmed with them and find himself struggling to really build his confidence#especially since as i've said elsewhere he's one of the most moral characters we get#being able to work off somebody who's morally grey openly and actively? who also has no heroing experience? but still has morals and cares?#('even i know you never try to change a partner' 'don't give up on him we owe him that' damn near everythign from the rooters arc-)#i think he'd have an easier time there#also you can't tell me you don't want that scene where the sheriff decides alan is gonna work for him#only instead argit snatches him from him in open refusal to allow it despite hardly knowing the kid#in what the show would probably use to show how immoral he is but could be better used as an early show of the morals he does have#and how the cops lack these basic things even this guy who sold his own mother understands

On: today i dreamt...
What started as a story about a group of gangster breaking into an abandoned (but not really?) prison to film their movie and being caught soon devolved into an international conspiracy filled with subplots about love and corruption, culminating with both groups that we thought were equally righteous finding out not everything was quite as it seems.
#luly talks#i had to run a man on all 4s to catch him it was great#movie-dream started about like torture with our protags being thrown into a container at first full of blood and missing limbs#but that soon got dropped w the only thing left of it being this one man who had part of his jaw and ribs falling/peeling off#and he had to lovers an old one who was kissing him and a new one#(a cop; too) who was looking at his naked for for the first time as he looked at the sea and sunset#and she slowly approached him before starting to kiss his somehow still bleeding wounds as he mourned the pain of being crucified#like that guy literally never showed up again#oh my god actually there was something aside from that there was a really fucked up sims world that just couldn't be real#and ended w marge and homer drowning i think (their house was underwater) and Maggie dying too as a nursery rhyme played#and there was also a random event of domestic violence#anyway about the movie-dream; it had something to do about the government making illnesses and having the cure but keeping it#and it was tied to reagan but we all were talking spanish (tbf movie-dream; could've been dubbed DKDHNSGD) and the reason why we realized#this was because a radio message of a british girl named sumthin like casey i think who had cancer or something#and basically the government knew and had the mediums to cure her but wouldn't do it#so in the end me and this girl who discovered this conspiracy and the other and og group who was doing fuck all i guess came back together#and at first my friend pretended to be all of our enemies (she was enemies w only one guy there) but then we turned on the guy#and as I guess revenge on the people who were supporting this goverment conspiracy and helping it instead of killing them we grabbed them#and flashed a weird scan light onto their eye which made em be infected#<- in dream this shit was cool as fuck ok?#and then everyone went on w their lives and in the bud#bus* ppl spoke w me and gave me food leftovers to help out those who needed em but it felt... awkward#like they were doing it out of fear instead of kindness y'know#oh btw i rode an helicopter 😁

oh my god going through a random tv show's tag is just exposing yourself to the stupidest people alive. never leaving my corner of the internet again
#i only wanted to see cute gifs!!!!!!#''you guys...... i have a feeling they used the sitcom bits to soften how abuse can be subtle or laughed over''#you ''have a feeling''????? THAT'S THE WHOLE PLOT#gonna blame youtube video essays for that one#also people defending ta*mmy#and being like ''she's the one character with a reliable pov and i hope she finds someone who deserves her''#i'm sorry??? are we talking about the same controlling selfish COP?#the one who completely took over my girl's life and pulled abusive tactics on her??? who KEPT TRYING TO CHANGE HER#who wanted someone who could mold to her!!!!!!!#the show SO SO CLEARLY tells you she's awful and a red flag too like from the second she's introduced to the second she's gone#WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING HERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR#AND AND AND#that one person who made a good post but then in the tags was talking abt how allis*on and ne*il should kiss#HELLO???#and after she said the ''he doesn't listen when i whine but he laughs when you bleed line'' too#if anything she should've spat on him and knocked him out again (non sexually if that's even imaginable to them!!)#oh my god i jsut wanted discussions about how the final episode was so good and actually i may make a post about it but#people are so dumb 😭#the only thing i'm thankful for is them opening my eyes to the possibility of allis*on and p*atty#bc of course i saw something there but i feel like friendship is a stronger motivator and more powerful for the story#but a friendship that develops into something more once she's settled back in.......... it can easily be read as such and honestly#wouldnt put it past them for it to be on purpose

I know there are a lot of fanfics about Jason being caught by the Justice League and usually getting bailed out by the batfam, but imagine if it was Brucie Wayne bailing him out:
In the JL interrogation room:
Superman: Alright, Red Hood, who is your supplier helping you move drugs in Star City?
Red Hood, who was undercover investigating a drug ring and got caught in a JL bust and sesnses an opportunity to mess with Batman: Look, I know you guys aren't cops, but can I get at least get one phone call?
Justice league looking skeptical?
Red Hood: You can even monitor it.
Green Arrow: Fine one phone call, but it will be monitored.
Hands Hood a phone
Red Hood: Hey Dad, I got stopped by the Justice League. Could you come bail me out? Really, okay, see you soon. Okay, my Dad said that he would bail me, so could we go over to the teleporters?
Green Arrow: Okay, firstly, we aren't cops, you can't just post bail and get out. Secondly, how would this "Dad" get up here?
Red Hood: You'll see.
Minutes later, Brucie Wayne walks in with a trail of Heroes, trying to explain why he cannot be at the Watchtower.
Superman: Mr. Wayne what are you doing here and how did you get here?
Bruce laying the Brucie persona on thick: Well as one of the Justice League's biggest doners and tech suppliers I have access to the teleporters, as for why I'm here it's to bail out my son. Hi Jaylad!
Red Hood fully expecting Batman: What?
Green Arrow remembering his friend's grief over loosing Jason: Ummmm, Mr. Wayne this is the Red Hood. You know "Bag full of severed heads" Red Hood.
Brucie: Yes, I know he's had some issues with his big feelings, but he's still my sweet little boy.
Superman: And you think that he's your late son Jason Todd?
Brucie: Yes, Batman even confirmed it was him. It turns out that after he died, he was brought back by an organization that planned on using him as a weapon against Batman. But he left them and has been working to improve Crime Alley, I'm so proud of him.
Green Arrow: We caught him in Star City with Drug runners.
Brucie: I'm sure he has a good explanation, don’t you Jaylad?
Red Hood still reeling from Bruce showing up as Brucie and not Batman: I was undercover?
Brucie: See perfectly reasonable, now can I please have my baby boy back? Alfred will be so upset if he's not home for dinner.
Surprisingly, this works , the Justice League is to stunned by this revelation and later confirm this with Batman that yes, the notorious Red Hood is the son of Billionaire, philanthropist airhead Brucie Wayne. Jason, meanwhile, has suffered a huge blow to his cred in the Hero community because of the association with Brucie instead of the Batfam. The bat siblings do not let this go anytime soon.

TL;DR - How would you kick someone out of your house without involving police? and Should you?
My no-note blog is probably not the best place to ask this question, but maybe someone will come along and answer, who knows.
So in the ideal circumstance that we abolish the police, I've been wondering about a specific scenario. Say there is a person in your home, for whatever reason, who has no legal right to be there, and you do not want them there (again, for whatever reason) but they refuse to leave and you want to forcibly remove them from your home.
Most people nowadays would threaten to call the cops on them, and usually that alone is enough to get people to leave. I've never actually had this problem myself, but I've known numerous people who've talked about these kinds of situations (and coincidentally they were all middle class, if that tells you anything...) I, personally, would think twice (or a million times) about calling the cops on someone, especially if the person in question is particularly vulnerable to police brutality. So, even if the police aren't abolished, I still want to know the proper alternative to handle this kind of situation.
I'm a pretty weak, easily overpowered person, so my first instinct would be to like.. call someone I know or go get a strong neighbor or something to help me get this person off of my property.
I know that the specifics of the situation also play a key role here, too, on how to handle it. Like, if the person is reasonable, I would hope that just telling them to leave would get them to go - easy enough. But if they refuse to move.. what do I even do? If it's someone that I know very well, I might think to take a break and just walk away from them and hope we can sort things out once we've calmed down. If it's someone that I don't know very well, though, (not even necessarily an intruder, but just say someone who is overstaying their welcome) and especially if tensions are not even high, I wouldn't really know what to do. Some states even have squatters rights, so like.. sometimes you literally CAN'T do anything about this person being in your home, and in some cases they can even get you kicked out. I think it's kind of obvious that if the person clearly has violent intentions towards me, then I have a right to defend myself, but again, I am not going to be able to do that by myself, and I don't know what the legalities are around asking for help from another citizen, i.e. not a cop, if someone means to do you harm?
And what if you do ask for help and your helper ends up injuring the person in the process of trying to get them out?? I'd imagine it's still better than calling a cop, and risking getting a life-ruining criminal record, or worse, shot and killed. But I'd also imagine there could be grounds for them to sue if they get injured by the helper since the helper is not a professional of any kind and not protected in anyway. Only some states have protections against self defense anyway, and I don't know if it even counts if you invited the person into your home willingly and they weren't being violent to begin with. Like.. if they person is just stubbornly standing there and then your burly neighbor puts hands on them first, I don't think that even counts as self defense for the homeowner? At that point if the person fights back then they have a case for self-defense.
And I don't know what the leftist attitude is towards personal property like that anyway, like should we even have a right to our own home? I don't know the leftist view on that, I get the idea that individualism is not the move, but like.. do we still have our own personal space? Space that we are allowed to bar others from entering? Even if that space extends to the entirety of a 2-bedroom home? I'm asking sincerely, because I really haven't read enough socialist theory, so I don't know what the opinions are on home ownership in general. Like in an ideal society, would we supposedly just allow the person to stay for as long as they like, as long as they aren't hurting anything? That's another part of it, like what if they aren't doing any harm but I still don't want them there? Am I wrong for wanting them to leave, even if I don't know them? Supposing even if they are an intruder, if they haven't stolen anything or hurt me or my animals, but they just... won't leave, should I even be mad about that?
But again, forget an ideal society, let's take it back to reality, assuming that I live in the US and the laws are exactly the same as they are in this moment, police are not abolished, but I am choosing to not involve the police in this matter... what is the right thing to do???? Should I just resolve myself to accept that this person lives with me now?? I don't even live in a state with squatters rights, so I don't legally have to, but.. should I? (more thoughts and anecdotes if the tags if you feel like reading)
#leftism#socialism#communism#abolish police#this is open to debate for anyone it's one half sincere question and one half ethics think piece#like.. there may not be any one 'right' 'good' answer for every situation i just want to hear opinions from people who know more than me#please try to be civil and i know this might sound like a stupid question but I'm asking it in good faith#I feel like a LOT of people (at least US citizens) will just tell me 'well duh you have a right to not want someone in your space'#but like idk i've been thinking over this for a few days now and questioning if I even do have that right??#like obviously i have a right to boundaries but do i have a right to a 784sq ft home?#if i have extra space im not occupying all of the time is it wrong for me to keep someone out of it?#i'm someone who prefers to live alone and i've just recently got my house to myself after having a guest for over a year#he is a friend of mine and it made me miserable having him here sometimes (despite him doing nothing wrong)#but our other friends kept telling me to kick him out and i just couldnt believe they would even suggest that??#like.. just because i want to live by myself doesn't mean it's better to put him out on the street??#i still cant believe they saw no issue with that#and not once while he was here did i ever consider making him leave so this question isn't about him or anything#this anecdote is just an example of like.. differences in opinion on personal space#i have a 2-bd trailer and i've been waiting to turn my second bedroom into an office#but i let him live in the extra room while he was here because i was able to get by just fine without it#but i think i might feel different if someone i didnt know just showed up in my home one day and wanted to live here#or what if my friend (not that he would EVER) did become violent and i DID need to force him to leave? like .. what do??#this question mostly came up because someone i met recently was telling a story about a terrible roommate he had#but his (the person telling the story) parents owned the property or something and this guy's lease was up but he wasn't leaving#so they threw all his stuff out because he had been gone for a couple weeks and they assumed he wasnt coming back#but then he showed up one day looking for his things and was trying to take stuff from the kitchen#and the guy (telling the story) told him that he couldn't take anything and he needed to leave and said he would call the cops if he didn't#and i kept my mouth shut (especially cause the roommate sounded particularly foul) but i would not dream of calling the cops over that#but it was like... just because they owned the property and he didn't want him there calling the cops was a perfectly reasonable response#it sickens me

ken getting arrested alongside barbie after she punches the guy who smacks her ass presents so many possibilities
ken saw barbie punch the douchebag and was like “LET’S MAKE THIS A PARTY” and joined in on the smackdown
alternatively, the guy’s friends tried to jump in and ken wasn’t having ANY of that
ken saw barbie getting shoved into a big car with bright lights on the top and was like “OH BOY! can i come too?? 😊😊” and just kind of tagged along
alternatively, he realized what was going on and was like “EXCUSE ME OFFICER i too have committed A Crime so please show me to The Jail with my beautiful girlfriend” so they wouldn’t be separated
ken got in trouble for trying to help barbie escape but in his defense no one TOLD him resisting arrest is a crime because no one told him what being arrested or crime is
ken didn’t know who these men showing up to take his girlfriend away were, but he could see she was very upset and excuse?? you cannot take barbie away from ken without her permission??? so long story short, ken punched a cop
ken fully burned something down earlier and the cops were like “two birds one stone” when they came to get barbie

It’s funny to me that Magnus Archives started out with mostly “normal” ghost stories & held back on the really weird stuff until later seasons, whereas with Protocol we’ve gotten the following in the first twelve episodes:
- Guy Who Murdered His Wife Gets Turned Into a Tree While Running From the Cops
- Man Made of Needles
- Demon Antique Enthusiasts Who Crowd Crush People
- Janitor Runs Away From IRL Timelapse Only to End Up in a Cannibal Restaurant in the Void
- A Guy Just Straight Up Gets Run Over by a Semi Truck
- Knockoff Barney the Dinosaur Shows Up to a Strip Club and Starts Smashing Skulls
