#why do we have to wait 5 more hours I need the episode right now

Okay, with how things are looking and all the interviews popping up around it, it's really looking like Buddie's gonna go canon either by the end of this season or the beginning of next

Literally everything is pointing to them going canon (mainly Mr. Guzman being let out of PR jail lmao) but I can also see ABC waiting until next season to actually make it official. Here's my reasoning:

It's a new network and there's gonna be an entirely new audience of people meeting these characters for the first time

People need to see why Eddie wouldn't be with a girlfriend so Marisol is (unfortunately) still in the picture so he can break up with her

With the combined Cruise Ship disaster, Madney wedding, and only 10 episodes for the season, it's pretty packed with content

It's confirmed we're getting Buck and Eddie "friendship" scenes in every episode, so that could be a way to help warm up the GA to the idea of them being a couple

We wouldn't want them getting together to feel rushed

I hear your screams about them having 5 seasons of buildup and teasing, so them getting together right away wouldn't be "rushed". But again, it's a new season on a new network with some people as a new audience. To those who haven't seen the show before, Eddie breaking up with Marisol and immediately going out with Buck would probably feel rushed or forced to them so they'd need a bit more buildup to get behind the idea of "Buddie"

Alternatively, I can also see ABC doing what FOX did with Bobby and Athena in season one;

Having them go on a full on date at the end of the season (or it could just be one of them asking the other to hang out, nothing out of the ordinary) and at the start of next season they're making out against the fire truck 🤡🤡🤡

I'm just saying this now so if they don't go canon this season I won't be (too) upset lol

Sorry for the rant. I think the fact that they didn't wait until after the Candela finale was a missed opportunity that would have felt less, jarring 1. they could breathe and RP for a session after coming back from the moon reconnaissance mission (this is also considering that whether or not Matt made the party fight Otohan and have a PC death) Matt could have told them to end that particular session at Keyleth's camp and even tell Liam to wait and call Dorian at the end, and then have the party switch. it's also so strange to split the session in two for whatever reason

2. having the party switch after Candela would allow for a good window of time for the Crown keeper to do what they need to in case they can't reach a good point to return to BH in 2 hours, maybe a session and a half at most

3. assuming Dorian, and maybe others with him, come back to the group after whatever this intermission is done, i think it would be hard for them to split the attention between Keyleth encampment and debriefing - mourning FCG - guest players in a way that wont feel like it makes a disservice to another one of these topics (focusing on Guests and FCG's death could make it so the debriefing for the mission they spent 10+ episodes on feels lackluster, and vis versa)

As someone else said, it feels like they are giving us a palate cleanser as i was halfway through a good meal, but also they gave us another meal and after two bites they took it away so i could finish it in two weeks

there is also this limbo feeling of that we are getting late to the airport (freeing Predathos) but also we are taking a stop for sightseeing, and snacks, and bathroom and- it's like they are trying to convince us that "there is an urgency and we have to get there now now, but also nevermind that, lets catch up with these other characters for a bit"

It's just an ODD choice no matter how you look at it

So the urgency doesn't bother me. This was a weird thing in the fandom during the Solstice Split too (god i blocked so many people for constantly shrieking ARE THE OTHERS DEAD in the main tag every week, like no they are fine, they are narratively on pause) but like. Time is frozen for Bells Hells right now. We are following another group. We are not going to get snacks; we are looking in on what other people are doing, concurrently with this campaign. Indeed, that's not a bad idea. In a good campaign, there is this sense that the rest of the world exists and is doing things as you go about your own business - you are heroes of the story but you're not the only people who matter or do things.

It really is like. In some fantasy in which I were personally asked "hey, we want to do this thing where the Crown Keepers show up midway through the episode, and we follow them for that half an episode and then the beginning of the next episode, where would you put this?" I would, to be honest, say "maybe just do it as a standalone episode itself" but if I had to it would just be, again, Not Now. Cutting away while the party is on the moon! Cutting away while they're headed to the moon! Cutting away a week from now! Cutting away just before the Otohan fight! Hell, I even think that while I would have initially been far more annoyed if we started the episode and it was the Crown Keepers the whole way through this week, it would feel more coherent. But like, on a list of 20 places to insert the Crown Keepers scene, "halfway through an episode following a particularly dramatic and tragic character death" would be 21st.

(I also do want to push back against the idea that Sam needs more time and so this is why; you could just. run more episodes without him. Travis voluntarily sat out of almost 5 episodes. It took 2 episodes for Caduceus to show up. Team Wildemount had more episodes than Team Issylra. It is literally fine if he misses a few more episodes.)

Was thinking a bit about how “The Devil’s Playhouse” has a lot more comedy than people make it out to be, and while especially thinking about “The Penal Zone” I realized this episode is actually very very very very gay. Like, I’m pretty sure it’s the Telltale episode with the highest amount of gay moments (205 is second on this list, what with Sam getting catcalled by a moleman, Max flirting with Mr. Reaperphone, the whole bachelor party, Peppers etc).

I think what I really like about those moments is that it’s a great example of normalization. The characters are incredibly casual about it, talking about gay relationships the exact same way one would talk about straight relationships, it’s really neat to see! Especially considering that this game was made in 2010, a whooping 5 years before gay marriage was legal in the whole US. It's crazy and great how much they were able to get away with!

You woke up to find Vash gone.

"He left?", you asked, still half asleep.

It didn't bother you much, knowing he was the type to leave without saying goodbye. Especially with Nai still looking for him.

I get why but its kinda rude. You think as you start packing up.

The suns were barely starting to rise when you started walking again, wanting to give Kevin a little more time to rest before having to carry you again.

At some point you saw a car pass by.

Is that the reporters? You squint at the car with something hooked up behind it. If I catch up to it I'll be able to tell what episode I'm in.

Hours passed and the suns were high in the sky.

Now riding on the Tomas, you were looking at the map and holding the reigns.

"So if I remember, the moons..", you mumble, looking back and forth between the map and the sky. "Shit."

You were lost.

"Mother fucking-!", you scream in your throat and tighten the hold on the reigns, wanting to throw something. "Great."

Then there's a sound of a car coming from the right.

"Hm?", you look over and see the car stop just a little ways away.

A small group of guys come out of the vehicle, running towards you but staying just a few feet away and point their guns at you.

"Give us everything you got!", one says, you're guessing the 'leader' of this small group.

Are they for real?

"I'm not going to ask again!", the guy says and racks the big gun.

It takes you a while but then you grin like a crazy person.

I finally get to release some pent up anger.

Getting off of Kevin, you walk forward and pull out the weapon you had custom made. The red scythe shines in the sunlight as you unfold the weapon by swinging it open.

"What'll it be boys? I can be your doctor or your torturer."

"Do you know who we are!? We're part of the Bad Lads gang!", one of the ones in the back of the group says.

All you do is let out a creepy laugh.

"Hehe~"

Vash looked out at the sand dunes before him.

He had left the angelic looking person in hopes that they wouldn't get tangled up in his terrible luck and have a safe rest of the journey.

I hope they're doing ok. He thought and looked to the sky.

There was a few vulture bugs flying around.

Before he could try to swat some away from pecking him, he heard footsteps in the sand and voices.

"Ok, so I know he's The Humanoid Typhoon but is he like..a real guy?", a feminine voice asks.

A sigh comes from the other person.

"How have you made it this far?", the voice of an older man.

As the two keep talking the blonde stays still and waits for them to take notice of him hanging upside down.

"Dead ahead.", the older man says, being the one to take notice of the hanged man in red.

"Looks like the work of the Bad Lads gang.", the man continues. "Yeesh, they did a real number on that poor slob."

When one of them walks up, the vulture bugs fly off of him and go onto the piece of metal to rest on instead.

Vash decides to have a bit of fun.

Moving his prosthetic arm, he does a peace sign before letting it drop down, surprising the person. They reach over and hold his hand, the movement making it detach from him.

"Need a hand?", he asks.

"AAAH!", the woman screams out in surprise and tosses the metal arm before running back to their companion.

The vulture bugs fly off and the blonde begins laughing like a mad man as he slowly turns to face the two strangers.

"What a creep.", the small woman in white says.

"You got that right.", the man in the brown suit jacket says and starts walking away. "Let's go."

"DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING FRIENDS!", Vash says in a panic, having been hung up for hours.

"We can't just leave him here.", the little lady says and goes to untie him.

"Appreciated.", Vash says in relief and lets the woman turn him as needed to get the ropes off.

You made it to Jeneora Rock.

After beating the shit out of the group of men, you asked for directions and they were smart enough to listen. Leaving them in a slightly bloody pile on the sand.

Before leaving Lowland, you had taken time to practice shooting and using the scythe. Also having learned how to fight when a few drunks didn't leave you alone or tried to touch you without your concent.

I didn't kill them but I made sure that they regretted it. You smirk and take a sip from your cup of water. I should write to Dr. Thomas.

You were in the "diner", more like a saloon, taking a much needed break from walking around and restocking some needed items.

Kevin was resting at a nearby Tomas stable.

I wonder when the first episode is gonna start. You think as you're going to drink from the cup again.

There's a sound of someone entering but you ignore it, taking a gulp of water.

"Yep! I knew we'd find her here."

And then you hear a familiar voice.

"Pffft-!", you have a spit take and quickly wipe your mouth before looking over at the three characters that just entered.

"Vash! You're here!", the brown haired woman named Rosa says and makes her way over to the man in red.

"Working on baby two Rosa?", the humanoid typhoon asks.

You stare in shock.

I'M IN FUCKING EPISODE ONE!?

And now I rest. At least until I have the energy to write more.

1. Ameiro Paradox (6/8 on Viki and Gaga)

An enemies to lovers story with journalists and cute smiles. I am a little bit confused by Kaburagi, just like Onoe is. It is not bad, the acting is quite nice.

2. Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu aka The End Of the World With You (1/8 on Gaga or Viki)

This feels depressing and heartbreaking and I love it! Done right this can become a little sad gem.

3. Cutie Pie 2 You (1/4 on Youtube)

Well, I haven't been waiting for this and the first season left without a deeper impact on me. So right now I am very much unimpressed with this one.

4. HIStory 5: Love in the future (5/20 on Viki)

It is starting to grow on me. Both storylines. Seeing Hai Yi being nice, caring and less arrogant is kind of sweet. And all the flirting between Liang and Wynn is very much entertaining. Besides that, the main story is kind of confusing and I can't stop myself from asking, why doesn't He Bo Wei search himself in the internet?

5. Individual Circumstances (4/8 on Viki)

After years spending their lives apart from each other an almost worn out movie director and a famous writer meet again. The past has to be processed and the writer deals with their history and present in one of his stories. I like this one a lot. Can it be please next week, so I know what they were talking about in the preview?

6. My School President (8/12 on Youtube)

I loooove this one so much!!!! It is my favorite watch of the week! Set in highschool we meet Tinn (the school president) and Gun (head of the music club). Tinn has a huge crush on Gun and Gun sees in Tinn the enemy who is standing between the success of his music club and the win of the Hot Wave Music Contest. Sometimes you just need a good old high school bl to be happy. I enjoyed this series so much. And the music is so good!!!

7. Never Let Me Go (7/12 on Youtube)

The tension and chemistry between the two mains is definitely there and noticeable. I am hooked with the story and at this point really anxious about what's to come. There are so many layers to unfold and I love reading all those metas here on tumblr! So well written analyses.

8. Physical: 100 (2/10 on Netflix)

Okay, listen...my best friend told me, I should watch this and after 15 minutes we were on the phone with each other and for the next 1,5 hours we had the time of our lifes! This show is insane and so much fun to watch!

9. The New Employee (6/8 on Viki)

I love the manhwa and I really enjoy this adaptation. It is funny and cute and not so far from the original material. The two mains have a wonderful chemistry.

1. 2 Moons the Ambassador (12/12 on Youtube)

It was just bad. The acting was not good. The plot was...lame and there was too much going on with the amount of couples to deal witj. And there was just too much dull drama without reason and so many plotholes and logical errors... 2 out of 10 for the sweetness sometimes

2. Till the world ends (10/10 on Youtube)

This one was such a pleasant surprise for me. A story about the end of the world with explicit and brutal scenes, decent acting and a kind of good story! The chemistry was there and with episode eight they said, well lets show world what we can do. I won't talk about physics nor the ending. Well the latter would explain the first issues, but I don't care. I liked it! 8,5 out of 10 dystopian ideas

3. Remember Me (14/14 on Gaga)

Okay, this one is so complicated for me. First I found it boring. With episode three I was hooked and totally into it. Around episode 10/11 I just got bored again and the story became...difficult to like anymore and the last one was just meh...I really liked the storytelling, but some parts could have been cut short and others needed more story time. I felt like they have forgotten that there were like four other stories beside Champ's in the last episode so everything felt rushed. And yes, the big problem with Name's decision to speak. Like as it is just so easy to overcome your fear and barrier and mental health problem and just speak. One day, after you notice it would be better for others if you speak, you just do it...well, that is not how it works. And yes, thinking about it, this is a really big problem of the show in general. Just presenting mental health problems as something you can overcome with enough selfcontrol and some words of encouragement...or the sight of others who feel unwell in your depressed presence...damn...It could have been such a nice 7, but thinking about those flaws really hurts...there is no real working with the problems. Champ just decides to forgive his family and his depression is healed...Name speaks because he just decided to do so...Gun and Golf broke up and just a few days later Golf says sorry and pulls out a ring and everything is fine again...Well no...that is not how life works. 4 out of 10 stories to tell

4. Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko Season 1 (4/4 on Gaga)

A man who tries to avoid the world of BL, by reading Yaoi mangas to get to know all the tropes he has to avoid in order to not get involved with the world as a main character. It is hilarious. I had a really good time watching it. 8 out of 10 tropes to avoid

5. Love Bill (10/10 on Youtube)

A vietnamese drama about a young man falling in love with a screenwriter. Well, of course there are some other things happening in between, but this is the heart of the story. Our boy Nguyễn Bá Vinh is doing a great job! I really enjoyed this drama. And the ending is so perfectly fitting for this drama. Thien is a screenwriter and known as the king od sad endings. So yeah, the ending is sad, but at the same time perfect and bittersweet. 7 out of 10 rainwater barrel showers

6. The director who buys me dinner (10/10 on iQiyi)

Okay, I read the Webseries, so I do know what Dennis was up to and what his story was. I liked the story between Yudam and Dongbaek. The ending? I wish they would have stick more to the original, but I am not mad about it. They had a fresh start and it is not that open of an ending for me. Yudam agreed to have dinner with Dongbaek and I believe that those two will be happy in the end. 7,5 out of 10 pills to swallow

7. Island (6/6 non bl)

I have never thought I would say I like a horror series, but here I am. I hate horror besides Vampires, Aliens and Witches, so this was a surprise, especially when I think about my despise and horror for The Exorcist. But this one is really good! And now I can't wait for season 2!! There is so much to unpack and I am hooked! 9,5 out of 10 lust demons

8. War of Y (20/20 on Gaga)

I finally watched it. I don't know. It was good imo, without a doubt. But it is a little bit paradox. The series tries to go against the industry and the fanservice and the working conditions, but in the end it is just another bl. Most of the stories have their happy ending and are kind of unrealistic. I enjoyed my time watching it, even though it was tough at some times. 7 out of 10 two-faced media

9. Gaya Sa Pelikula aka Like in the Movies (8/8 on Youtube)

What a perfect little series! I loved every second of this and I wish it had more episodes. But they managed to tell the story in the time they had without cutting something short or anything. It is a deep story with a light storytelling that fits the tone perfectly. The story is about Karl and Vlad who become fake boyfriends to help each other and who happen to fall in love with each other for real. But nothing is that easy in this world and the process of coming out and coming to terms with who you are needs time. Absolutely love this one! 10 out of 10 dishes to wash

10. Ingredients (21/21 on Gaga)

This was the perfect thing to watch while laying down with a cold. It warms your heart and makes you smile. It is such a cute and wholesome story and I believe they will manage to overcome all obstacles in their relationship. I am very grateful for this recommendation! 9,5 out of 10 desserts

11. My Engineer (14/14 on Youtube)

Well this one was a ride. I liked the beginning, but my patience died at some point. So Bohn and Duen became a couple, but they didn't touch each other, no hand holding, no kind of showing affection and the only one who does shows them through words is Bohn, but he becomes so jealous I wanted to slap his face. He is sulking the whole second part of this series! That was so annoying. The only bright spot were RamKing. I get it, they are cute and the only ones with at least two brain cells! 5,5 out of 10 sulking faces...

This was not good. I think it is cringy and there was no chemistry between the mains or a plot I could really follow. I mean there are short films out there, which can transport a better story with a better feeling for time and substance than this series. The amount of times I cried noooo...Not good... 3,5 out 10 what the hell was this blue tuxedo?!?!

13. History 4: Close to you (10/10 on Viki)

Yeah, close to you...what a perfect titel. Best friends to lovers, stepbrothers to lovers. And I liked it. I don't know what else to say. I know there are some scenes that are just bad. There is no excuse for that, but you know what? I watched KinnPorsche, I watched Dangerous Drugs Of Sex...And besides those scenes I really enjoyed the stories. Yes, also the stepbrothers. 8 out of 10 Cardigans

14. Between Us (12/12 on Youtube)

Well, in the end it was boring and I couldn't care less about WinTeams relationship or their traumas, which is really sad, because it plays such a big role in the series. I liked them in UWMA, but here, in their own series, they were blank and boring. 4,5 out of 10 swimming pools

15. The Devil Judge (16/16 on Viki)

Why so good? I couldn't stop watching in the end. You know the feeling when you are so tense, you just want to spoiler yourself the ending, but you don't want to, but you want to and in the end you are sitting there in tears, because the drama is so sad and you're so tense. And still, since the beginnen of the show, you question yourself if you want to hate Jung Sun Ah, feel pity for her, fuck her or let her fuck you. In the end I let her fuck me out of pity while I hate her with all my guts. But the drama is just so fucking good. So thrilling and with some really good (and some not so good) plot twists. And in the end, every meme is true, gay sex would be less gay than what ever was going on between Kang Yo Han and Kim Ga On and I respect them for that. 10 out of 10 intense eye contacts

16. Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko 2 (3/3 on Gaga)

A man who tries to avoid the world of BL, by reading Yaoi mangas to get to know all the tropes he has to avoid in order to not get involved with the world as a main character - Part II (yes, I copy paste this one...). It is hilarious. I had a really good time watching it. 7,5 out of 10 tropes to still avoid

1. Invitation (on Gaga)

A short film about a jobless person who finds binoculars and breaks in a stranger's home. There is a good twist in the end. The acting was okay, the story was okay...the ending was good. 6,5 out of 10 binoculars

2. Fragile Souls (on Gaga)

I like this one a lot. It has depth and a really deep story for a movie under 10 minutes. The acting is good, too. It is a story about opening your heart to someone and not keeping you inner demons all to yourself. You are allowed to be vulnerable and it gets better. 8,5 out of 10 grainy metaphores

3. Jay (on Gaga)

Jay is a 13 years old boy who is fascinated by his older brother's physique what somewho change into attraction. He is discovering his own sexual orientation while his brother doesn't keep his own a secret from the younger brother (he has sex with his girlfriend while the door to his room was open). It is a complicated film which ewokes complicated emotions. Jay is in an early stage of puberty and his hormones and emotions are going crazy. He can't bring himself to like the girl who has a crush on him. Instead he fantasises about his brother, or his brother's body, a male body to whom he has easy access. The acting is not bad, the subject difficult, but all in all not a bad short film. 7 out of 10 pants

4. Going South (on Gaga)

What a ride. This movie was tense and uncomfortable to watch. I guess you can start a discourse about the question wether the sexual encounter is consensual, dub con or just simply r*pe...With all I have seen it is r*pe for me. There was so much aggression between those two and I understand both sides, which doesn't mean that ones actions were justified. 5,5 out of 10 chasing scenes

5. Suddenly Last Summer (on Gaga)

It is the story about a student, who stalks his teacher after he discovered the latter is gay. The student goes so far that he blackmails the teacher to do everything he wants for a day in return he would keep his secret safe. Well it was a slow and quiet movie. The acting was good. The story itself was okay. I liked it. Did I liek the student? Nope...But his behavior fits his character and his role in the movie. 8 out of 10 headphones

6. Kiss Of The Rabbit God (on Gaga)

This is such a beautiful and good short film! I loved every second of it and I was hooked to the very last scene. The following is all you need to know. Oh I love some good stories! A long time ago in the Qing Dynasty a young soldier fell in love with a handsome official and was sentenced to death for confessing his longing. When his spirit travelled to the Underworld the soldier’s crime was forgiven as one of passion and he was ordained The Rabbit God, the god of secret lovers. The god now travels through eternity answering prayers of forbidden love. 10 out of 10 crimson-hair

7. Langit Budak Biru (on Gaga)

It is not easy to watch, it is not easy to think about, but it is important to think about, to talk about. A movie about two boarding school students in a very religious and very homophobic country trying to understand why they are here and how to survive. My highest resprect for this movie. 10 out of 10 !

Okay so a few hours have passed since I watched season 3 and I want to collect my thoughts

(Also it is 9am and I haven‘t slept so bear with me)

First of all I wanna say that the performances were amazing. I rewatched the scene where Wille confronts his parents at least ten times because it‘s just so intense and I love Edvin‘s performance in it.

I‘m glad Micke returned, but I‘m also glad that there won’t seem to be a happy ending for him. I felt like Sara‘s and Simon‘s relationship with him needed a bit more exploring and closure and I felt like they did what they could do with the limited amount of time and so many plots to wrap up.

While I felt like the first three episodes were quite slow, it all paid off in episode 5. Such a good episode, I can’t say it enough!

Never thought about Rosh and Stella being a thing but, even though I know they won‘t actually end up together, I quite enjoyed seeing them together.

I found the revelation about the hazing and all that very interesting and didn’t see Erik making a comeback like that at all. But it fits the theme and makes sense, because if everything is not as it seems, then so is Erik. Also, it added depth to not only August, but in my opinion to Nils and Vincent as well.

I very much enjoyed watching Felice‘s struggle with getting over Sara, because I‘m pretty sure we all can relate to that pain and it felt refreshing having it dealt with in such depth.

Simon and Wille being happy together! Being out in public!! That was nice to see, albeit short.

I reblogged a post about this too, but I loved that some of the more heavier subjects were finally addressed out loud. It felt so satisfying to watch after all that buildup and hinting in seasons 1 & 2 (e.g. the racism Felice deals, I really liked her talk with her dad, August‘s eating disorder, and probably other things that my sleep deprived brain cannot think of right now)

I don‘t understand the problems people have with Simon and Wille, or especially Simon‘s behavior at the end of episode 5. I feel like it was pretty careless and ignorant of the palace to expect Wille to explain Simon all the rules he will have to follow now that their relationship is public, and for Simon to follow them all without batting an eye. I mean, he is 17 after all, idk what they were thinking. And to me, it was pretty clear that Simon was anything but happy in their relationship, especially after realizing that due to Wille being a prince, his needs will always somehow mean a little more, have priority, etc. etc., and Simon will have to get used to having to take a step back more times than not. I totally get not being okay with that, and I‘m not trying to say that Wille‘s problems especially towards the end of the season are not bad or valid — they definitely are. But I don‘t think we can fault a 17 year old who is being thrust into this world he doesn’t understand and that is not welcoming to him without any help by his side to think that maybe, this is not the life for him. I guess he could have waited until after his birthday? But that’s just me.

My heart is breaking for Wille, though. He really cannot catch a break, but I was surprised to see that he was seemingly on board with being the crown prince again. I guess anything as long as August doesn’t get what he wants.

I do have to say though, I did not like the music as much as I did in the other seasons. It was alright, and I‘m excited to see whether there‘ll be another iconic song at the end of episode 6.

I mentioned it earlier, but I felt like episodes 1-3 were a little bit slow. I understand why, but at times it was a bit dragging.

I‘m very curious to see how they are going to wrap everything up in the last episode. It sure is a lot for just one more episode, but we‘ll see! I‘m optimistic it‘ll be great.

So, something I haven't 100% sold myself on but have been thinking about the last couple hours. A random idea that came to me that mostly hinges on two questions: 1. Who is the one that cloned the drones? 2. What is in the other two pods that crashed alongside Tessa?

First, our episode 6 revelations. CYN went en esploded Earth like an egg in the microwave. Last thing she did before disappearing was send the disassembly drones to the exo planets. She order them to do a genocide and turn the corpses into spires (possibly singularity related? Something she needs a lot of material/drone bodies for?). Then they were to seek out a lab and do something there.

So, Tessa arrives with three pods, we see them in episode 1 right by the planet, but they don't land till 3.

The other two crash, while her personal ship lands correctly. She and J are the only ones to exit any of the pods.

Now, back when there was a chance of JCJenson's involvement, I figured they made a couple copies just in case they were destroyed. Little black hole thing went to Tessa's pod after Uzi blew up eldritch J, and she took over the copy. This then prompted Tess to land, so she could go deal with the defecting N and V.

But Tessa says CYN was the one to send the disassembly drones to all the exoplanets. That would suggest JCJenson's involvement was a complete lie (possibly to help convince the disassembly drones to go do the killing). It wouldn't make much sense for JCJenson to be allied with CYN in this, considering she: blew up Earth, is breaking all their robots, and seemingly trying to kill all humans. The ending of 5 supports this, as we see the drone parts in the basement. Evidence that CYN's the one who made them, not JCJenson.

But if JCJenson isn't involved, then who made the clones? CYN would have to be the one. It makes sense for her to make spares for the same reason JCJ would have.

But if CYN made them, how and when did Tessa get a J clone?

Before the gala massacre, CYN tells Tessa she won't discard her and to stay away (out of the way of the other humans she's bout to go murderin). So, on some level, she seems to care for her. So, it would make sense that maybe she cares enough to leave a drone to keep Tess company while she sends the rest to the exoplanets.

But J gets sent to Copper 9 with the others. She's there on the planet before Tessa arrives. Which would mean CYN left Tess with an empty drone clone? But why do that? It made sense why JCJenson would leave Tess with a bunch of clones to sit in the atmosphere of Copper 9 with. She's a certified technician for them, she could use the empty bodies if one of the dissemblers was broken like J was. But if CYN is the one who sent them, and Tessa is actively trying to stop her, then why would CYN leave a spare body with her? After all, how could J be in both the clone on Copper 9 and the one with Tessa in the pod? So one of the two would have to be the empty spare. Unless.

This is what brings us to the random thought that came to mind.

Is it possible that the J from the ship isn't the same one that blew up?

Is there a chance that CYN made multiple J's, had at least two active at once, and left one with Tessa while the other went to Copper 9 with N and V?

Are there more clones like this in the other two pods? An extra N and V that were meant to keep Tessa occupied but were instead brought along to help stop CYN?

Now, like I said, I haven't 100% sold myself on this actually being the case. There are some holes, like J seeming to recognize Uzi when they meet on the ice. It assumes Tessa's being 100% truthful and that JCJenson isn't morally bankrupt enough to work with CYN. It's mostly just a what if scenario at this point.

Maybe episode 7 will help explain somethings. Will just have to wait and see

Official Palcove Propaganda Post

Palcove is both the name of the iconic duo of Ted Nivison (of Rainforest Cafe/Margaritaville/400mg edible fame) and Charlie Slimecicle (professional gay sex roleplayer, at least that's what he should be known for) and the area they lived in during their brief time on EpicSMP (a modded SMP created by, uh... *cough* Matt SuperMega *cough*. You can hazard a guess as to why this SMP didn’t really take off.)

Okay, why should I care?

I shan't lie and say EpicSMP is like, crazy good, or a hidden gem, or YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS — really, it's basically TekkitLive but there's way more people on it. It's a largely forgotten SMP, overshadowed by more popular and successful SMPs that happened before or around it. (OriginsSMP, for example.) There's a bunch of interesting duos trying to start their own businesses, and while nothing happened happened, at the end everybody died, which is interesting to think about. (Actually, wait... yeah, it’s just like TekkitLive.) But it was fun. There were some good bits, some light roleplay, and enough seedlings of a plotline to get an average viewer Andy like me invested in. There was some kind of season 2, but it never took off. I'm sure MCYT fans are accustomed to the disappointment of non-existent fandoms, unfinished stories, or lacking narratives by now (Shadow of Israphel was my first heartbreak, but maybe yours was something else). Another one wouldn’t hurt, right? Why Palcove specifically? Well, as a former SMPLiver— (I am escorted off the stage to a chorus of boos) I just really like Ted and Charlie's dynamic. They’re the perfect comedy duo. Charlie works best when he has someone to bounce bits off of, and Ted knows exactly how to pick up what Charlie is putting down and elevate it to the next level. (The adverb and adjective bit in the first VOD had me DYING.) Story-wise, Charlie had a satisfying character arc. He’s a pivotal character and I liked how he plays off of Schlatt and Swagger, too. Not to mention, this is the last time Ted has uploaded or streamed any Minecraft content... I miss him, chat. Also, it makes me happy. Isn't that enough?

Well, okay, you got me interested. How do I watch?

I'm glad you asked (even if you wouldn't fucking say that, I don't care). Firstly, a primer. Sometimes we start a new thing, but it ends up not being to our liking, and that's fine. Maybe you want to walk around and see how it fits before you commit. That's fine! All I ask for is 14 minutes of your time. That's like, 4 songs.

This video is the first day edited down into a nice, palatable, taste-tester, courtesy of unknown energy on YouTube. It's so nice and cozy and comfy, it's the equivalent of a mug of hot chocolate curled up in an armchair with a warm blanket wrapped around you. As for continuing, I highly recommend starting with Charlie's POV. It's probably who you're most familiar with, and he bothered to edit down his streams (even if the videos are like, an hour long). If you like listening to men argue and make the unfunniest jokes imaginable, then definitely try the full VODs. All of these have been archived by the channel EpicSMPVods.

Final Thoughts

Like many other “stream only” SMPs, a lot of content regarding them simply gets lost and forgotten. There's plenty of reasons why EpicSMP wasn't very successful (in-depth analysis post pending). I’m just glad that not only did Palcove exist, but it's archived. It just so happened to survive against surmountable odds and even have what I consider a satisfying narrative ending (in-depth analysis post pending). And I’m insane about it. And everyone else should be, too.

Falling for your best friend is a blessing and a curse at the same time, especially when it’s painfully obvious that your friend doesn’t feel the same. So what is Yuuji supposed to do? He doesn’t want to lose you but also can’t help wanting to get out of the friendzone. Maybe his other friends can help him. Or he just has to wait because sometimes the songs that become our all-time favorites are the ones that don’t stick at first.

1. Always keep you busy! Distraction is key. There cannot be a single moment during the day where you even get the chance to think about Zenin Naoya.

2. Always make sure that you have enough comfort food and drinks.

3. Always let you know how amazing and lovable you are.

Yuuji is good at those things. He knows you better than anyone else, after all.

And so he knows which shows to pick that he can binge-watch with you. He knows which cakes to bake for you. He knows that you like to steal his hoodies because they are comfy and warm, and he makes sure to bring a spare one that he can hand to you. He knows which new manga he can lend to you. He knows which songs to put on a cheer-up playlist for you. He knows how you like your coffee and tea and which snacks to get you.

He wants to take care of you, wants to make you smile again, and put the pieces of your broken heart back together. Maybe his love for you can be the glue that works.

During the following weeks, Yuuji can see that you seem to get better, and it fills him with joy. He can see that you visibly relax when he is with you. That his hugs make you sigh and slump against him as if all the tension fades away when Yuuji holds you. He can see the delighted expression on your face when he tells you how sweet and amazing you are. He hears the shy chuckle when he compliments your eyes and tells you, respectfully of course, that yes your ass looks fantastic in that new pair of jeans.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Hmm yes, sometimes. I feel better when I'm with you. Thank you so much for being there for me, Yuu."

Yuuji's heart is beating way too fast at those words. He knows this is just a friendship thing, but he can't help but feel happy and proud that he is the one who can make you feel better.

That's also why Yuuji agrees to a spontaneous sleepover on one of those binge-watching nights. You're sitting next to him on your bed, and when Yuuji mentions that it's getting late, your hand darts out to wrap around his biceps:

"Please, one more episode!"

The message is clear. You don't want to be alone. It makes Yuuji's heart ache for you. And of course, he will do anything to help you. So he smiles and pats your knee.

"Ok, ok, I get it. We can watch as many episodes as you like. After all, there is a whole third season too!"

Your grateful smile is making Yuuji's chest swell with happiness. It feels good to be the source of your comfort.

So when two hours later you snuggle against his side and mumble a sleepy "Can you stay the whole night please?", Yuuji stays and tries to ignore the way his traitorous heart and dick both throb at the invitation.

How many times has he pictured something like this in his fantasies? Staying in your bed overnight. In his dreams, you always end up making out and tearing each other's clothes off.

But Yuuji is here to be a good friend who helps you through a breakup, not to have dirty fantasies about you!

And so he turns onto his side and lets you snuggle against his broad back, hugging him as you slowly drift off to sleep, and he can't help but lie awake for a long time just smiling in the dark and listening to your cute soft snores and feeling the warmth of your body against him.

He has started to send you the funny pickup lines again. While you were dating Naoya, he felt like he was overstepping and stopped sending them. But now it feels right again. Because even though Yuuji's attempts at flirting didn't work with you, he knows at least that the cheesy pickup lines made you laugh, and so he hopes that they will help cheer you up.

The guy behind Yuuji bumps slightly against his shoulder while staring unashamedly at the phone screen.

"Wow, you're smooth, bro. Bet you get all the girls."

Yuuji turns to him and shakes his head,

"Nah, man, those pickup lines aren't working. But they make for a good laugh, I guess."

The guy nods solemnly and claps Yuuji's back encouragingly,

"Keep your head up. I read somewhere that many chicks go for guys who make them laugh or the ones who can cook."

"Oh! Wow, that's great! I can make her laugh, and I can also cook! Thanks, bro!"

Naturally, Yuuji decides to pay you a visit that evening with a backpack full of ingredients he bought to cook your favorite meal. And he's very pleased to see a smile on your face when you realize what he's doing.

He likes this. He likes cooking for you and sending you funny messages, and watching movies with you. He likes taking care of you. He likes being your best friend and seeing that you feel better when he is around you.

After a few weeks, Yuuji even makes you go clubbing with him and some of your other friends. You try to turn him down at first, but Yuuji knows that once you leave the house, you will love it, and he believes that you deserve a fun night out. Some drinks and dancing and joking around with your friends will surely help you forget about your stupid ex, even if it's just for a few hours!

And so Yuuji shows up at your dorm with Nobara in tow, looking ridiculous wearing sunglasses at night and already slightly tipsy from sharing vodka shots in the back of Fushiguro's car.

You open the door wearing your pj's and gaping at them thunderstruck. But their good mood makes you laugh, and so you let Nobara usher you into your bedroom to pick a hot outfit for you.

Yuuji smiles and leans against your bedroom door, waiting for you to get dressed. He knows it's probably stupid, but he made sure to wear the tight black shirt that you like on him because fuck yes, it feels nice to get complimented by you, and last time he wore it, you kept staring at his chest, and it made Yuuji feel all giddy.

He hears Nobara exclaim loudly:

"Where is that idiot Itadori?! I need more vodka!"

Yuuji answers through the door:

"I'm here! Is everyone decent in there?"

He hears you laugh at his words, followed by a loud:

"Oh, just come inside, Yuuji! I have no problem changing in front of you. It's not like you haven't seen me in a bikini before, so a bit of underwear won't kill you!"

Well, if you only knew what the few times he saw you in a bikini did to him! Yuuji tries to steel himself by taking another gulp out of the vodka bottle before pushing the door open.

The first thing he sees is your cute ass in some lacy black panties, and he has to suppress a groan.

His night will be filled with fantasies about getting on his knees behind you, pulling those sexy little panties to the side, and worshipping that sweet ass and cute pussy with his hands and lips. Fuck! He has to stop!

Yuuji's grin grows even bigger, and he knows that this night out was the best idea! He plops down on your desk chair and passes the vodka bottle around while Nobara does your hair and makeup. And once she is finished, Yuuji lets himself get pulled to his feet and throws his arms around his girls as all three of you make your way to Fushiguro's car.

He is happy to see an excited sparkle in your eyes when the three of you sit in the backseat, Yuuji in the middle, and he sings along loudly to all the songs that play in the car, making you laugh anytime he's doing the rap parts. He feels amazing!

The club is brimming with people. Yuuji doesn't waste any time and pulls you and Nobara directly onto the dancefloor while Fushiguro and Maki lean against the bar and share amused glances.

The most beautiful thing is to see you laughing again. You dance with Nobara and Yuuji and sing along to the songs, and the smile on your face is so carefree that it fills Yuuji's chest with warmth.

His hands land on your hips when you grind against him, and here in the middle of the dancefloor, with the dimmed light and the vodka clouding his mind, he can almost make himself believe that you are his girl. You can proudly say that you're over Naoya. It's been two months since that rainy night when you caught him with that other woman. Two months since your heart shattered into a thousand little pieces.

Criminal Justice (2007)- Episodes 1-5. Watching Con O'Neill's old stuff cause it's fun. Day #? RALPH STONE!

Warnings: Murder. Blood. Drug Use. Needle Use/Injection is shown on the scene. Drunk driving. Accused/discussed sexual assault. Abusive parents, grief, and general bullshit in the justice system.

Should you watch this if you haven't: YES! Five episodes, each being an hour, but if you don't have any issues with the warning, it should be a fun time. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this show and Con is a very important character! He is on screen more than most of his other tv parts and is having a great time. It's a story about one defendant and the shit that goes down as he's tried for the crime.

I skipped Ralph's scene/ the trial. Seriously the preview in ep 1 gives you the gist. Read a summary. Etc. His roomie is great.

Final thoughts:

I think the fact that this was a mob member being the real murder and that it was covered up was the real thing here. The entire point and moral the audience was meant to learn. It didn't matter if Ben had the best case, the entire Crown was against him. Ralph and his team could have been the best defense lawyers in the world and it still would have gotten buried. I'm happy the final evidence came out, obviously, but Ben was fucked over in so many ways. Now what life does he have? He lost his friends, his trust in his family, and is now destined to fall back into the system he knows. It's a shame. 

Con: 11+/10. Long hair AND glasses AND he's Exhausted! Perfect role. I want him. I want to be him. He's divorced, and sad, and I love it.

We are given a Con character who has REAL impact on the story, introduces the audience to the rules of this world, AND GETS A HAPPY ENDING! It's brilliant. Obviously, there are moral issues to him being such a good defense attorney to allow criminals to get away, but this whole story was about giving Ralph a different perspective. He's a slime-ball but he's not totally against change. Willing to look at other perspectives. He started to genuinely care about his client, and didn't treat it as some weird game of chess. Him genuinely helping the younger defense attorney was nice, especially because he rarely blew up at her for her choices. He did his best to help where he could and didn't take things personally when shit blew up. 

Con's acting here is so fun and fluid! I hate being a person that ties OFMD into everything, but this is kind of what I want Izzy to become. Con's allowed to be fun! He's allowed to be mad, suspicious, have doubt etc. There are a few scenes that got me chuckling just by his face! He feels really confident and comfortable in this role. He talks with his hands! He's a dick, a total slime-ball, but he really cares about getting things done right! I love it. 

Everyone else: 8/10. Nothing really stood out besides our protagonist, and after a quick google, he won an award for this role. Which is deserved. He does great. I liked the characters the show wanted me to like, and vice versa. 

Story 7/10: Intriguing. I had fun, but this show sits more in the turn off your brain and gets swept along by the bullshit, vs trying to solve it yourself. 

Overall. 9/10: I highly recommend it if the tags don't worry you. Con is in this enough to justify a Con watch. I have a thing for Professor esk Con. I will not be ashamed about that. His whole speech about how he was perceived was nice. Now, this is about five hours of commitment, but If you need something longer I'd recommend it.

More theories because I am on a brainrot

I spent some time to think of theories and what everything means during the wait for part 2, and whilst it's quick, I do think I should lay down some I have right now and see if they make sense. Let's begin.

Spoilers for all of Chapter 2 but I think you all knew that the moment you saw my post's title.

I do think that if David IS telling the truth about his secret, then Hu can be the three suicides one. After all, she mentions not being useful after David's big reveal and seems to hold a significant amount of trauma due to that.

It WOULD also help show why the fuck she keeps babying Nico, seeing them as someone who needs guidance on how to survive a killing game with people like Ace in the room, not to mention, she already has a friendship with Nico, so it's a starting point.

Does that mean I like her?

Look I may have such low standards I like Veronika but Jesus Christ Hu is a fucking annoying character, just cuz she has a good reason DOESN'T mean she's likable

ANYWHO, enough Hu hate or else she will give me at least 20 Aneurisms in a matter of a millisecond, we got another killer suspicion

Do I believe it? No. Not because It's not right, but because if it IS right, my discord pfp changes and I am naturally very biased because of it.

People are saying the killer is Levi. Which... definitely has points.

Levi using the crazy sprite here makes him seem like he's fucking insane, but also... hiding something? most of the cast has something to hide, and by this point, Levi is definitely the most sus one who's hiding something

close second/third is David/Arturo but they've revealed big something already so they're not on the list

Dude was MEGA quick to hit the vote button on David, even to the point of it looking too quick. Since David is the most sus person this chapter, it's natural to think he's a suspicious person and the best person to vote, therefore get them out of the way and win the trial. The only reason this fails is because Teruko's thinking and Charles realizing the group fucked up (Just between us, that's the most BS cliffhanger I've seen. Makes sense, but damn it was fucking abrupt.)

I find it oddly out of character for Levi to instantly push Eden as the killer. David? You can make the argument he revealed a new side to him and confessed to the murder instantly, but EDEN makes less sense to me. They are shown to be friendly, as shown in the first episode of the chapter.

ANOTHER THING is that Charles brought up a point I would see the calculative Levi agreeing with; No one was going to accuse Eden of murdering, she was just suspicious as the note had her name on it.

All this makes Levi very suspicious, and that's just from the trial. There is also evidence that points back to him.

I will not cover every evidence. Not because this post is too long as is and you'll need to read it when you have the next few hours free, but because I do not remember how the evidence plays into the case and my IQ usually isn't higher than 5

ANYWHO- One I will cover is the Merry go round, or as Infinite from Sonic Forces Teruko describes it, "The spinny thing".

Now, tape being wrapped in some sort of way around the merry go round is already looking suspicious, but then you look at Arei's wrists.

There is a mark on her wrists. It also can't be rope because of the shape, rope would leave a few patches of untouched skin, whereas in this case, Arei has a complete rash around her wrist, showing that tape was definitely used to drag her. This is also why her glove was missing, most likely to keep people from either guessing it's tape compared to rope or her glove was resistant to tape. It's one of the two, I have 0 idea.

Now, the main idea is that Levi used the Merry go round to push Arei up on the swing set to make it SEEM like she hanged herself in order to stage a suicide. However not only is that not the case due to Suicides not causing a trial, but also look at the fact that we can confirm that Arei's death had nothing to do with drowning (meaning no relaxation room ravine was involved.)

Arturo confirmed her neck was broken.

At first, this seems irrelevant. After all, hanging usually ends in broken necks, right?

APPARENTLY NOT.

seems sus for someone to die from a neck snap without the use of a noose. and let's remember what Arei's talent is...

ANYWAY, Given her strength, it would be natural she could overpower most of the cast, even if they tried to hurt her. Some people are also not physically fit enough to either fight back/kill Arei or even fight her, and I doubt most people would know how to snap her neck.

Levi looks like he has healed, so I don't see him looking like he CAN'T snap Arei's neck. He also could easily push the carousel as long as his arm doesn't get hit with the pain, but the dude is buff enough I think his remaining hand will be fine.

There is DEFINITELY more I can think off, but remember, I'm some British guy theorizing on how buff dude killed a character who nearly got character development, but DR;DT played it well. If I think of more shit I can make a part two to this post but until then imma go commit tax evasion and angering Karen's with my shitty opinions, have a nice life

Welcome to the finale everyone <3. I hope you like Rose and how this ends, because guess what? Fae makes a cameo in the next houseplant series (Prayer Plant)!

Also also, I like the idea of beings who don't have "aha moments" and are suddenly... okay. Because growth is not a linear process, and there isn't a set rule as what counts as "better" or not. So Rose isn't suddenly amazing now but fae is getting better.

Maidoe is a reoccurring character btw <3 Fae is supposed to be a master navigator in Trinity Hollow, and for context, most fairies never leave their tree's side. So Maidoe is.... a bit famous around there. Fae also has this uncanny knack for telling the future, for better or worse.

Note - this is still a first draft, any feedback would be much appreciated. Especially for this one, this is a super interesting concept to explore, but my brain found it so difficult, and comments on if I got to the core of this would be appreciated. <3

Maidoe lost leaves.

One.

Two.

Three.

Fae didn't have much to begin with. White sap fell off the wounds in droplets. Puddles had stains on faer hands from wiping it away. Maidoe - silly, observant, practical Maidoe - was reduced to a mumbling heap of little leaves beside a bare tree.

Rose. Tried. Everything.

Fae told Maidoe about all the wild ways: too much water absorption, not enough microbes, leaf angling, and Maidoe always slept during prime evening and morning sun hours. Rose was gentle & soft. Fae sat beside Maidoe and told faer everything... but all fae would do was nod. Nod and never change.

Puddles told fair that Maidoe was going through a 'rough patch' and needed utmost care. So Rose sat with Maidoe, measured faer words and made sure to never poke Maidoe with faer thorns.

Rose wondered if Puddles helped more. Puddles gave nowhere near as helpful advice - 'take it slow' fae said.... that was so general and not conducive to a speedy recovery - but Maidoe always smiled more and gave Puddles hugs. Fae never listened to Rose's advice. Puddles said Rose's instructions were "too much" to deal with while Maidoe was in pain. Rose didn't understand. faer advice would bring less pain. Why didn't they see that?

Perhaps it was the hugs.

Maidoe left the next day, white splotches over faer skin where the surprise hug punctured.

Rose had faer own matching splotches, all over faer thorns.

For a precious moment, fae forgot fae had them. But fae wouldn't forget again. If Rose had been more stern- more faerself - thorns & all, then Maidoe wouldn't have left. Simple as that.

Puddle's leaves drooped, darkening.

Rose bit faer tongue. Fae shouldn't say it unless Puddles asked. It would hurt Puddles more, but how could fae let it get that bad? It was probably just a wind issue - the indoor winds always smelled weird. It was such an easy fix -

"Maidoe's tree is doing better"

Rose glanced over, it had gotten bushier - full of sprouts and leaves.

Rose nodded. "Fae had to get rid of the dead ones and let faer tree get sun, simple changes."

"Not to Maidoe."

Rose blinked. Right. Fae had already poked the others, already caused damage. How could fae fix that?

" ... Sorry"

"Sorry? Who are you and what have you done with Rose?"

"Oh don't be fooled, we are still having our debates."

"For sure."

Puddles fluffed faer leaves. a few fell. Rose grimaced. Wait, wait... if it gets any worse, fae would tell faer anyways.

Puddles sighed. "Do you have 'simple fixes' for these?"

"YES. It's a wind issue, your leaves are delicate-"

"Without the insults."

"Insults?"

"No one likes being insulted Rose, they want to know what they are doing right, THEN give advice."

Rose flicked faer ears. "Sooo... You did a very good job at - at -"

"It's that hard?"

"You're great at resting."

"Wow. Thanks."

"Love the sarcasm. But... really, both you and Maidoe let yourselves rest, maybe at the wrong times, but still... that's a good thing."

Puddles hummed. "Thank you. You should also try it."

"... Can I give you advice now?"

"Hold on... you need advice first."

"Me? Oh.. Ok-okay."

"Maidoe didn't leave because of you."

Rose blinked. "Wha - where did that come from?"

"You've been twisting your claws since you've gotten here."

Rose scowled at faer claws for their betrayal." That does not immediately mean that I think- I think... Maidoe left..."

Rose swallowed. Silly tears. Silly, silly tears that come for the smallest of things.

Puddles tapped Rose's snout in a supportive 'bop'. "Maidoe left because fae was losing faer leaves & wanted to see if there was more to the world."

"But... faer scars."

"I think Fae's quite proud of them actually"

"Oh."

"And fae wanted to see how great the wild actually was."

"It is great."

"I know Rose."

"Why didn't fae tell me.... before fae left?"

"You would make faer stay, say something like 'it isn't conducive for your health'"

"It wasn't conducive for faer health"

".... Faer tree is all bushy now. If we see faer again, I'll ask faer if fae has been a pollywiggin this whole time."

"I doubt that."

".... we'll have a debate on it later."

"For sure... and... Puddles?"

"Yes?"

"Tha- Thank you."

"Of course, Rose."

".... Now can I give you advice?"

Puddles laughed. "Of course, Rose."

Rose smiled. Fae didn't have to hide faer thorns, but fae shouldn't poke others with them either.

They wanted to be cared for - like faer bloom - that's why they never listened.

And Rose? Rose would work on listening too.

I hope you all like Rose's story. This houseplant series gives me so much joy, especially since I seem to be in a bit of a spiral again. (Listening to my favorite song "Agnes" by Glass Animals, non-stop to stop the throbbing static and the overwhelming heat and urge to cry but I just can't and it might get so so much worse and I thought I was doing better. This shouldn't hurt, this happened before, it shouldn't hurt.) And I guess that's the point, isn't it? I can't promise you hope for a happy ending, and it's okay to be broken now, it's a story, right? A constant cycle? And I know it's so so wrong of me to say it when I feel so awful, but... perhaps we can enjoy every stage of it? I love this song, I finally have the motivation to do schoolwork because my creative energy is sapped out, it will pass, it's okay right now. We'll take care of each other, and agnst is fun in stories right? All my little characters in my head are curling beside each other, murmuring comfort, because that's all I can really offer. I don't know the answer, but hey, growth is growth, isn't it? No matter if the plant is losing leaves or growing or living or dying, it's beautiful in a way. It seems so complicated and messy, but that's the web, full of dewdrops, catching the light.

Erhm... sorry for the rant, my thoughts are on the borderline of mean and I needed to sort them out.

like, i gasped. i smacked my hand to my face. i mean, i fuckign called it. it's such a small moment, and it's not even a moment with both of them present, but i feel like it holds so much weight. because ben has known that devi is his match. he's known for so long. this wasn't even a confirmation for him, because in his head it was already confirmed. and while i desperately wish devi's card had said ben gross, i think it's important that she figured that out on her own, make the decision herself, instead of having a little piece of paper tell her. but the fact that he kept the card. because even though he knows, even though he has known, this is tangible proof that what they had (have) is real.

listen. they're both so jealous that the other kissed someone else. but it's also just so soft. idk. i love them.

3: one free boink: part 1

idk i just thought it was super cute and banter-y and lowkey flirting (because banter and teasing is their love language!!!)

2: surprisingly not number one, but number two: devi cashing in the one free boink. them coming back together is just so fucking...idk poetic to me. it beats malibu. malibu was about seeing each other in a new light for the first time, while free boink (yes i will keep referring to it as that fight me) is about returning to that and seeing each other in an old light again. while ben has been pining for devi the whole season, i don't think he thought for a single second that she'd want him ever again. the smirk here:

mirrors the post-kiss malibu smirk perfectly. one is about a beginning. the other, this season finale, is about picking up where you left off. about coming back to something that has always been waiting for you, no matter how long you took to come back to it.

1: HALLWAY SCENE. MY BELOVED. bathroom scene in 2x10 used to be my top benvi scene (yes it literally topped malibu kiss i just really loved the vulnerability in the bathroom scene) but it has been knocked down to number 2 after hallway scene. ben's hesitance at first, then just going for it, saying fuck it and telling her he wants her to stay, that he'll miss her. a lot. it's basically a fucking love confession, lets be real. as much chemistry as maitreyi and jaren have with physically intimate scenes, i feel like their chemistry shines so much more in scenes where they're being emotionally intimate. devi tries to give him an out in this scene: "You need my annoying personality to fuel your competitive drive." and he doesn't take it.

it takes major guts for him to admit that he'll miss her like that. he is being so vulnerable with her. this season gave ben such an amazing arc. his character growth was just so fucking good and i'm not over it. he's following what he wants now, not what he thinks other people want out of him. and what he wants is for devi to stay. because he cares for her, because he'll miss her, because he loves her. i don't think he's trying to get her to stay so she'll be with him; as far as he knows, she still sees him as a friend. and he's satisfied with that. he wants her to stay in his life, in any capacity, and he's not afraid to admit that anymore.

but then we get this, and everything starts falling into place:

like this duo is so good. so hilarious but also paxton just helping her out with aneesa even though it doesn't really do anything for him in return. idk. i just enjoyed that

also the whole ben/devi kiss competition thing was absolutely wonderful and i STAND BY the point that they should have kissed each other. THEY WANTED TO.

like this here? devi you idiot he doesn't wanna kiss anyone else because he wants to kiss you!

and this. i really loved this moment, especially with aneesa going off on him right afterwards. like, ben. you fucking idiot. you could have it. you don't have to be miserable.

3x05 was just so good lol

2: 3x06. i just really love these windows we get into ben's head, honestly. and samberg's narration is just wonderful. ben's pov episodes both have been so so good, but this is probably my favorite out of the two because the growth in this one is absolutely amazing. from being overworked and burnt out because of his own self-expectations to live up to his dad's legacy, literally not pooping for over two weeks and ending up in the hospital after being carried fucking bridal style by paxton hall-yoshida himself, to realizing that he doesn't have to be perfect. he doesn't have to go to columbia or take every single class possible or work himself to the point of exhaustion. he can take breaks, he can do what he wants, he can find new passions (like art!!). his bonding with paxton was absolutely wonderful; i have been waiting on their bromance since season one and i think they'll make wonderful friends. this moment? so good. and though ben does hear it from his father later in the episode, i feel like it is so important for him to hear that from other people as well. that he's working hard and has reason for people to be proud of him.

and this scene with his father is just wonderful:

i love that howard acknowledged he hasn't always been a good dad. i love that that did not go unsaid, because it needed to be said. and ben hearing his father say "i'm proud of you," even after he admits that columbia may not be a possibility anymore, is just so so good. the whole episode just felt very....cathartic for ben's character, i think.

1: 3x10. so many reasons. paxton's graduation speech, devi telling her mom she didn't want to leave because she needs one more year with her, HALLWAY SCENE, ONE FREE BOINK. i'm not even afraid to say it: this season finale beats malibu. so fucking hard.

fave & least fave storylines:

for least fave, can i just say rhyah in general? like, obv i think narratively it fit really well esp with the whole situation culminating in nalini defending devi & assuring her that she will find someone who loves her just as she is, but i hated rhyah lol. des was fine. he was ok. i didn't particularly like him but i didnt hate him! and i really think it was important for devi to date someone who wasn't ben or paxton before going back to ben. so yeah, des was fine. but rhyah? god she was the worst. i thought she was like, okay at first, but she really turned around on us, huh? i know it was an important plotline bc it led to this discussion in devi's room:

which was definitely so crucial for devi to hear. but also i just wish devi didn't have to think that she was "too much" in the first place.

for my fave, obviously, the whole benvi arc is my favorite storyline because that slowburn was just so fucking good and i am a sucker for romance, but we already know how much i love that. my favorite storylines of this season aside from the obvious are ben and paxton's individual arcs.

i'm gonna talk about paxton's here, because he has never ceased to impress me with the growth he's capable of (and because i already have talked a lot about ben's arc in this post lol). i mean, in season one, we're led to believe that he's really just this shallow hot jock, but he just keeps growing and growing! this season was particularly wonderful i think, even moreso than last season. he owns up to the shitty things he did in the past (which is just…ghosting a shit ton of girls which like, while typical for a teenage boy, is still pretty shitty lol). he is really such a good boyfriend to devi too! (i still don't ship daxton, don't think i ever will, but it's something devi definitely needed to get out of her system) and the way their breakup happens:

him establishing his own boundaries and letting her know that he cannot be with her if she doesn't see how amazing she is just like he does, because she will continue to be insecure in their relationship if they keep going on like that. i also loved that he didn't date haley at all after he broke up with devi -- it would have felt so cheap if he did. they make really good platonic friends! and so do devi and paxton!!

i really love how this season ended with both ben and paxton admitting what they want and going for it (ben with admitting he wants devi to stay, and paxton admitting to trent that he wants to go to asu). and also with realizing that he doesn't want whatever he has going on with phoebe, because before, he did want something easy and thoughtless, but now he wants something more real -- and i don't think he'll find that with devi, because i will always believe that their relationship was too superficial to have any shot at longevity, but i hope he does find what he's looking for. not to mention all the interaction he had with other characters: el, fab, ben. it was just wonderful.

i also really loved the entirety of nalini and devi's relationship this season. they've just continued getting closer and closer as they both work around their greif and it is absolutely beautiful. nalini sticking up for devi with the whole rhyah/des situation? so wonderful. the talk they had in her room afterwards? fucking beautiful. THIS SCENE???

i will never get over it. as someone who has always had a rocky relationship with their mother, this just feels so healing for me.

season four thoughts:

i'm now leaning towards devi freaking out and ghosting ben after they...boink. but i can also see it going in a direction where ben is scared that devi isn't as serious about him as he is about her, so he avoids her and instead starts going out with margot (because he knows he wouldn't be setting himself up with heartbreak with margot -- yeah, he likes her, but he loves devi). and obv this is going to hurt devi a lot -- and honestly, i kind of like the idea of devi being heartbroken by ben for once. i want to see her pining again like we did in season 2 -- openly admitting that she has feelings for ben. and i want devi to be the one to tell ben she loves him. i feel like that's something they both need -- for her to say it out loud, and for him to hear it.

plus this interview from jaren even further solidifies my thoughts on ben and devi being endgame lol

So I've watched the first three seasons of TDP a while ago, randomly decided it needed a rewatch, somehow realised it got two additional seasons while i wasn't looking and now I need a place to vent my random thoughts.

I watched around a season a day and i just have to watch the se3 finale tomorrow and I'll catch up with what I've seen so far. When I see the 4th and 5th seasons I'll probably going to start spewing a lot of random shit so beware.

First of all. FIRST EPISODE AND CLAUDIA IS READING LOVE AMONGST THE DRAGONS?!

Second. I shipped Amaya and Janai hard the first time around already but this is so good. Like Janai's sister dying? Prolly my favourite scene so far. (Btw I'm spoiler free for seasons 4 and 5 except i googled ship name for them and saw a picture of them kissing so i know that's canon. Would honestly feel cheated and insulted if it wasn't.) Also the translator is such a cinnamon roll.

There are sooo many lovable characters in this series. I love Amaya and Soren most I think but everyone has such good arcs!!

Like Claudia being manipuated by Viren? I really like how her corruption comes from her love for Viren. I also loved how Soren is seen as the slower one out of them but she's more naive when it comes to their father.

The scene where Soren leaves her and she says "Don’t make me choose! Not again."? Right in the feels man.

Also sending my love to Bait! The guy deserves some love! I felt really bad for him during that scene on the ship when he felt like he was replaced by Zym and then when Callum invited him to come and he was so happy?? Like my heart? And then he basically goes and becomes a parental figure to Zym.

Oh that reminds me. What was the captain's name? I can't remember but i recognised it in those texts in the beginning when important people who work on the series are written so. Fun.

Also Gren is so random but I hope we'll see more of him. Loved his friendship with Amaya even if it had like two minutes of screentime.

I'm trying to think of everything that went through my head during the watching. Um.

Oh! Aaravos (is that correct?) What's up with that dude? And I didn't go back to check but in Harrow's letter to Callum he said that cube is a key sth connected to Aavaros and that he's a powerful mage and knows all six arcanums? So I'm wondering where that'll go. But he'll prolly be the final villain instead of Viren? We'll see ig. And a stupid thought but i just imagined him being somehow stuck in the cube? And my brain automatically got the idea that to open it all six sides must be activated(glowing) at the same time? I dunno what my brain is on atm but this exists in my head now.

And what happened with Ezran's abdication? Like why did he do it? What did anyone gain from that? Were the others supposed to leave them alone just because he did it? Dunno.

Also Aanya is so cool. Really love how she has a brain you know?

Also who was the guy who first deserted when the option was offered? Cause I know we saw him before but idk where. Wait he's not the guy Rayla spared is he? That would make some sense but i know we see the guy who deserts at least once in the throne room? I'm confused.

Also all kings and queens are dead so who's leading all the other armies beside Kasef(is it Kasef?)? Why don't we meet them?

Also Corvus is great and I love how he just goes along with everything Ezran does. You're a weird king Ezran.

This is so random but how was that vet supposed to know how fast an unhatched dragon's heartbeat is supposed to be? Just seemed funny to me.

Also i think the first time around i didn't like Soren in the beginning but now i loved him from the first scene when he helps Callum show off in front of Claudia.
