~{ Heyyy, So this is a post made with the help and suggestion of @villainmirabelmadriga so go check them out and now to the post! }~
•God-Queen•

Diana and has been invited by the God-Queen to heavens.
This was a great surprise for Diana as unlike the legends would say her stepmother adores her husbands children and often gives them her support the only reason for her reputation for hating her husbands children is because when she finds out she beats the hell out of Pariah while his children watch.
And speaking from one of the lucky children who have gotten to see it for herself it is amazing and definitely not with the added pluses of eating the sweets that her stepmother gives and petting her peacocks while talking with Lord Ares and Lady Eris who also like watching their “Father” get his ass beat.
Anyway Diana is certainly excited to visit her stepmother and she could ask why her father has been quiet for so long.
-•—••••••••••••••••—•-
•Background•
It has been over 300 years since Danny home-world has been eaten by their sun and over thousands since Danny himself had fully died by the hands of his parents and the G.I.W.
When Danny had first died he was a mess and was never able to fully recover from his death when he had to start fighting the over ghosts and beating the G.I.W but the second time around Danny was much better prepared for it and he got the hang of being a full ghost very soon as it’s not that much different from being a half-ghost.
And he was mostly left alone unless it was his children Dawn and Dusk who he absolutely adores and his afterlife was calm until the Observers decided that with Pariah Darks madness mostly worked its way through that he was able to become king again but for everyone’s safety and to make sure this didn’t happen again they needed a Queen who would be able to put down any and all attempts for domination.
So Danny was chosen to become Queen as he was the only one able to beat him down and shove him back into his tomb so now Danny was the Queen.
And his life was good apart from having to kick Pariahs ass every few years it was fine especially when he got the most adorable Stepchildren out of this.
Speaking of stepchildren maybe he should invite Diana and Marvel over.
-•—••••••••••••••••—•-
•Little Facts•
•The Gods often change gender so for Diana to see her stepmother as a man it is normal
•Danny has no romantic feelings for Pariah Dark, he mostly just beats the shit out of him for his lack of respect for women and putting his children through shit
•Dusk is Ares and Dawn and is Eris (mostly for the chaos part)
•Danny keeps on saying “Don’t worry about it sweetheart here have some [Insert Greek sweet]” whenever Diana asks where her father is
•In the past Pariah Dark kids would go to Danny when their father would be an asshole and watch as their stepmother beat the shit out of him and it was Glorious
•Captain Marvel has met Danny and Danny treats him like he does his stepchildren,And Marvel isn’t complaining he likes the sweets Danny gives him before he goes to beat Pariah back into submission while yelling “RESPECT WOMEN YOU BASTARD”
•Pariah Dark is still around Danny just throws his ass in the nap-time box when he pisses him off
•The reason the legends say that Danny hates Pariah Dark kids is because when he beats his ass they mistake the hate for the kids instead of him
•Danny is the Ancient Of Marriage and Family
•Dawn goes to pick up her little half sister and brother with some good old ghostly bonding and the JL think that Eris kidnapped her for Hera :)
•Dawn and dusk know Billy’s not their actual brother but their mother likes him so honorary little brother!
•~{The DC part is in Diana’s pov because even if I have no clue how to write her I’m worse that writing Billy}~

Do you think in the most twisted, misguided, disgusting, and almost idiotic way, Chisaki saw his young self in Eri, and thought he would be to her what the boss was to him. Like. This lost young orphaned child with nothing but the clothes on their back taken in by a Yakuza. That's literally their only similarities but do you think Chisaki decided that was enough? That he should be the one to "save" her?
I know it sounds ridiculous but just stick with me here.
This single image from chapter 136 screams so fucking much about Kai's brain and his relationship with Eri to me. Because ask yourself. "Why doesn't Kai just put Eri into a coma like he did The Boss?" Because that would solve so many of his problems. No chance of Eri escaping. No chance of any Heroes finding out about her. There'd be minimal resources spent on her since all he needs is to keep her alive regardless of physical condition. It literally solves everything, it almost feels like a plot hole. But then you remember the fact that Eri was entrusted to Kai by The Boss, and then you take another look at the image above, and it kinda clicks, doesn't it?
He doesn't do that because he genuinely, truly wants to take care of Eri. He might even really see himself as her father figure. And I think that makes so much sense, especially with his other relationships. Case in point, Shin Nemoto.
We saw the results of Shin using his Quirk on Kai, and he says straight up, "I like you, I trust you, your presence makes me feel at ease." And he didn't even seem shocked or upset after saying it, so it wasn't a truth he was unaware of or didn't want Shin to know. That's simply how he felt, cut and dry. But, with that being the truth, he was more than willing to use him as an expendable asset, have him be a fall guy after the raid with the other Bullets, and fuse with him, which he seems to believe will fucking kill him. That's not Kai using a pawn: That's just how Kai is with someone he cares about.
So, it wouldn't be far fetched to say, the same applies to Eri, and that really does recontextualize every one of their scenes, huh?
"You're the centerpiece of my plan."
"To this girl, you're no hero."
"You're cursed, every action you take kills someone."
"Someone else is going to die because of you!"
"She doesn't want you."
None of this is manipulation or scare tactics or anything like that. This is just what Kai thinks of humans. That he can hurt and pull and abuse them in the worst ways possible, and do it over and over again, and not understand when they want to run away. And I feel like him being raised in one of Garaki's "orphanages" just rubs salt into this wound.
Because, he takes care of Eri, doesn't he? He gets her toys and a pretty room and a soft bed, and he's nice and calm with her, doesn't even use his quirk to kill her and bring her back to life painfully as punishment! He doesn't seem to be physical with her at all, outside of the blood extractions. She has everything a girl could ask for, and she spurns him? Runs from him? Well, no matter. That's just how children are. Ignorant, illogical, they just don't make sense.
...It's such an incredibly fucked up way of thinking. And I think it's ingrained so deeply in Kai's mind because it's what he thinks he never had.
I think the way he treats Eri is how he thinks loving parents would have treated him. Pretty toys and nice clothes and good food and absolutely nowhere in his mind does any genuine relationship dynamics or aspects of unique personality come into play because after years and years of not having it he just. Doesn't. Get it.
So that's why it's lacking in his relationship with Eri. In all of his relationships, really. Because The Boss took him in and loved him and cared for him and Kai knows that but he doesn't understand that. So he's trying his best to "love" and "raise" Eri by being an empty photocopy of a parent at his best, because that's all he is. That's what defines Kai, till the very end.
He's empty. And so is his love. So Eri's room will always be full.

You're Mine (Eris Vanserra x Reader)
Summary// After leaving Eris behind to fulfill your parents' desire for marriage, knowing the two of you could never be, you did your best to move on. It had been five years, and you were finally starting to settle into your life with your husband when a late-night visitor brought back feelings you thought you had long since buried.
(This idea has burrowed its way into my head and won’t leave anytime soon, so I’m dragging you all into this with me. I hope you like it <3 It's been awhile since I've wrote anything so if you have any critiques or opinions, please let me know!)
WARNINGS: Smut, Fertility Issues, Verbal Abuse (Spouse), Physical Abuse (Spouse) (A slap but nothing more), Possessive!Eris, Jealous!Eris, Cheating, Breeding Kink, Spanking
Five Years Ago
“Mother, please!” You beg, tears streaking down your hot cheeks as she gives you a look full of pity. It was a useless cause to try to convince your father against this arrangement, but your mother… she used to be a dreamer like you. She once thought of running away with a prince, of living happily ever after, so why wouldn’t she give you the same chance?
“Darling, please, collect yourself.” She urges, grabbing your hands and pulling you towards her. “Pierre will be here any moment with his family. They cannot see you like this.”
“They don’t have to! You could sneak me out the back, let me run away with-” You begin only to flinch when she grabs your face roughly, her eyes shining with a strange mixture of anger and agony.
“With you, Y/N? With Eris?” She hisses, eyebrows furrowing together. “He is the heir to the Court. He will never choose you. He cannot. He will go with whichever maiden secures more political power, and that is not you.”
Your lower lip trembles as her words cut through you like hot steel. They settle in your soul, trying to burn out any hope you might have, and yet you persist.
“No, Mother, you don’t understand. I love him. He loves me. We’ve been courting for months, dancing together and strolling through the gardens. Hells, he gave me this!” You gesture to the ruby necklace resting above your collarbone, wrapped in a gold band that resembles a fox’s tail. “Everyone has seen us together. His family, my family, does that mean nothing?”
She stares at you for a moment, her mouth turning downwards as her fury fades into sorrow. You swallow, trying to get the lump in your throat to disappear as the silence stretches on, but it refuses.
“My darling girl,” She coos, her hands now cupping your cheeks. “One’s first love is something special, an experience worth remembering, but it is one that is never meant to last. He has his duties, as do you. It was never meant to be.”
The realization of the situation hits you in waves of denial, anger, and agony. It makes your head swim, and your stomach lurch as you try desperately to find anything to keep you afloat.
“What if he does choose me, though? What if his parents see me as he does? Someone who makes him smile and laugh, who treats him well. If you could just let me speak with him one more time, keep Pierre and his father busy, I only need an hour.” You try to bargain with her, placing your hands over her own. She goes to respond, your hope hanging by a thread, only for your father’s voice to rise above the two of you.
“He has moved on, Y/N.” He sighs, clearly exasperated by your antics. “Beron has told us about Eris’s betrothed. It’s been arranged since birth. It is time for you to do the same.”
“But if he knew, why would he fall in love with me? I know what I saw, I know what I felt.” You press, wrapping your arms around yourself as your father’s jaw clenches. “He wouldn’t do that to me.”
“You don’t think he would?” His scowl deepens as he glances at your mother over your shoulder before fishing for something in his coat pocket, ignoring his wife as she begins to protest. “Read this.”
“What is it?” You ask.
“Just read it.” He pushes the parchment into your hand, rolling his eyes.
Your fingers tremble as you glance at the letter, noticing Eris’s penmanship immediately. The words seem to blur together towards the end, but you realize it isn’t due to his writing but your tears. One of them splashes on the paper, staining it immediately as his voice echoes in your mind.
I regret to inform you of the ending of our courtship, effective immediately. Please know this is through not fault of your own. You were a wonderful experience. I should not have led you on, but I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Even though I am the least deserving of it.
Yours,
Eris Vanserra
A loud sound echoed off the walls, and it wasn’t until your knees hit the floor that you realized it had come from you. You felt the world collapsing in, your dreams fading with each heartbeat as your worst fear came true. Your parents watched, one with sympathy and one with indifference, as you came to grips with reality.
The silence after was choking you as the paper lay taunting you, his signature ingrained in your brain as a loud knock was heard from the front. Soft hands gingerly picked you up as your father’s footsteps led to the door, his voice booming as he greeted Pierre.
“Come now, Y/N,” She shushes you, brushing your tears away with a mother’s softness. “I know it hurts, but in time, it will fade, and you will find happiness with Pierre and your future family.”
“I cannot imagine feeling anything other than this, Mama.” You murmur, numbness starting to spread throughout your body as she smiles sadly and kisses your forehead.
“You will, sweet girl.” She assures you, pinching your cheeks to bring some color back as Pierre draws closer.
“How do you know?” Your gaze raises to meet hers, searching.
She chuckles, though you know it is without humor, watching as she seems to drift far away for a moment before the sounds of your father's throat clearing behind you brings her back.
Her arms pull you into a tight hug as she whispers into your ear, “Because I did.”
Present Day
From your wedding day to now, you have been desperately searching for the happiness your mom said would come. You threw everything into your relationship, forcing Eris into the darkest crevices of your heart so that you could move on. Pierre wasn’t an awful man. He was kind and generous, always concerned about your feelings and ensuring you were cared for.
He knew about your past with Eris and never pushed you but soothed you like a balm to your soul. Your love for Pierre was different, but it was there; you just needed something more. However, you knew better than to dream of it. You could be happy with him, will be happy with him.
Eris had made it very clear that he did not intend to return for you. He hadn’t even had the courage to come to your wedding nor send you any well wishes. You had seen him since, of course, but he always did his best to avoid you. If you did happen to catch his gaze during a dinner or ball, his eyes were always full of anger.
It was in your best interest to forget all about him.
You were torn from your thoughts as the front door opened, your husband poking his head around to look for you. A soft smile pulls at your lips effortlessly, rising up to greet him, only to stall when you see how angry he is.
“Pierre, what is it?” You ask, forehead creasing as he all but slams a letter he had been holding onto the dining table.
“The new high lord,” He scowls, jaw clenching. “He is asking myself and the other merchants to travel across Prythian to secure new deals or else forfeit our titles.”
New high lord?
“Beron is dead?” You whisper, grasping the edge of the table. “How did he…who did…was it…?”
“Eris, yes, the treasonous snake,” Pierre grunts, raising his eyes to you. “It apparently happened overnight, and he is already throwing everything out. I knew he was a bastard, but to-”
“He is not a bastard,” You say before you can catch yourself, your mind screaming at you for rushing to his defense. You owe him nothing—no loyalty, no love, nothing. So why did you speak?
The air in the room seemed to change as he cocks his head, his eyes darkening dangerously. You feel the hairs on your neck raise as you step back, trying to put distance between you. However, Pierre doesn’t hesitate to follow you as the letter is now crumpled in his fist.
“I knew it.” He snaps, nostrils flaring as he grabs your arm and yanks you to him. You let out a small yelp, trying to push against him, but he doesn’t yield. “I’ve given you everything you could ever want. I’ve built you this home, this life when I could’ve treated you like filth.”
“Pierre, please, let go,” Your voice is a whimper as his grasp tightens. “You’re hurting me.”
“Me? Hurting you?” His laugh echoes off the walls, one of his hands running hastily through his hair. “Don’t act like you don’t deserve it. I’ve put up with this teenage moping for five fucking years. I’ve played the part of the gentleman, the family man, and you still can’t get over him. Pathetic doesn’t even begin to cover what you are.”
Tears fall down your face as you sob, finally gaining the strength to rip your arm away as he turns and punches a hole into the wall beside him. You cannot stop yourself from trembling as his shoulders shake with fury, his breath coming in short pants.
“Do you know what they all tell me? Our friends and family?” Pierre asks, closing his eyes. “They tell me how sorry they are for me. How much they pity me. They’ve even suggested taking a whore on the side, so at least that way I could secure an heir.”
The last sentence strikes deep, one of your hands resting on your lower stomach as he gives you a mocking laugh. You had been trying to have a child for a while now. Under the care of a midwife, you had been drinking the teas, reducing your stress, and month after month, you failed. Pierre had been there for you throughout it, promising you that it was not your fault, and for him now to throw it back in your face…it made you sick.
“Y-you told me that it was okay, that these things take time. Going into this marriage, you knew what I had been through and who my former lover was, and you said it was fine.” You hate how your voice trembles as you keep your eyes on the floor. “I thought you understood me, that you could see I was finally starting to heal, but was it all a lie? Have I been sleeping next to someone who I do not know?”
He watches you momentarily, taking in how meek you look and the tears that now stain your face. Footsteps fill the silence and stop once you see his feet, a soft hand coming to cup your chin and force you to look up.
Pierre was there in body but not in mind. The eyes that once held so much comfort were now empty, the smile now a scowl, and his touch burning rather than soothing. He turned your face from side to side, mesmerizing your beauty before smirking.
“I guess that’s two men who’ve used you now, huh?”
You don’t register the slap you gave him until you see his pupils dilate, your eyes widening in fear as your palm begins to burn from the contact. He snarls at you, and before you can apologize or scream, you aren’t sure which one, he backhands you and sends you spiraling to the floor.
“I’ll be back in the morning, don’t wait up.” He calls over his shoulder, straightening his jacket before he walks out the door without even a glance at your crumpled body.
It takes longer than you’d like to admit to collect yourself off the floor, your face red-hot even though you know you have already healed. He hit you. He yelled at you, belittled you, and then slapped you as if it were nothing. A wolf in sheep's clothing.
Your hands dig into the wood of the table as you pull yourself up, hating how weak you feel as you cry. This wouldn't have happened if you had kept your mouth shut. Why did you even say anything? After all this time, why did you feel you still needed to speak up for the man who deserted you?
“Fuck!” You scream as your sadness turns to rage, grabbing a nearby vase and hurling it at the wall. It instantly shatters and clatters to the floor, flower petals scattering everywhere with the glass shards.
It doesn’t make you feel better. So you throw another vase and another, and then a portrait until the room looks like a tornado ripped through it. But nothing is working to fill the hole in your chest that was just violently ripped open once again.
A clock nearby chimes out twelve times, and you blink as you realize how much time has passed. Your adrenaline leaves your body quickly as exhaustion takes place, and your eyes glare at the front door one last time before you start heading up the stairs.
However, as your foot hits the first step, a loud knocking startles you. At first, you think it’s Pierre, drunk and probably without a key, but then you hear a voice. A voice that has haunted your dreams for five years.
“Y/N? Y/N, open the door. I know you are in there.”
It can’t be…
You tiptoe to the door, your heart racing as you stare down at the knob. What should you do? Why was he here? What did he want? Should you even let him in? The consequences could be deadly, especially after what he had done just last night to his own father, but your heart was winning over your head right now.
“Please, my love, let me in.”
Your hand grasps the knob and turns it before you can stop yourself, the door opening to reveal Eris.
He looks the same, damn him. His red hair was tied back in a half-up style, the rest falling over his slender shoulders covered in a thick, dark green coat. Eris’s eyes, the color of molten amber, met yours with a ferocity that made your breath catch. Your stomach fills with butterflies as the night air caresses your skin, whispering long-forgotten memories that send your heart fluttering.
“Eris…” you whisper, your voice tight with emotion. Whatever spell had taken over the two of you broke as you said his name. His hands came up to grasp your face as he pulled you in and kissed you, lips molding to yours as if they had never told you goodbye.
And, cauldron help you, you kiss him back just as fiercely. You had thought about seeing him again more often than you care to admit, about how you would scream at him for what he did to you or prove to him you were better off without him. But once again, your heart craves what your mind desperately tries to discard.
It’s only when your back hits the wall of the foyer that you pull away, gasping for air as you shove him back. He blinks, dumbfounded, and goes for you again, but you shake your head and slap his hands away, gaze hot as years of resentment flood your veins.
“How dare you come into my home and kiss me like that after all you did.” You seethe, teeth clenching as he regards you like a caged predator. “You can’t just show up and do that! You can’t come in here and ruin my marriage, my life like you have any ownership of me.”
“I don’t think I was the one to ruin your marriage, little fox.” Eris replies smoothly, standing straight and giving a pointed look behind you to the mess of a dining room.
“Don’t call me that.” You snarl, wrapping your arms around your body for comfort. “You need to leave. Now.”
“I won’t,” He states, looking you over. “I’ve defeated my father. I’m rebuilding the court and our reputation, gutting it from the inside out. I’m here to collect the last thing I need.”
Your brain goes fuzzy as he stretches out his hand, waiting for you to fall into his arms as if the past were not there. As if his letter and necklace weren’t still tucked away in a drawer by your bed. No matter how badly you missed and yearned for him, you couldn’t forgive him that easily.
“You led me on for years,” You say softly, your voice numb as you take another step back. “You courted me as if you cared. You made me believe we were real, that we would be together forever. Do you think I could just forgive and forget that after you left me with only a letter for an explanation?”
“I thought you were smarter than that.” Eris sighs and clenches his jaw, running a hand down his face as he closes the front door.
“Excuse me? Get the-”
“I didn’t write that letter, Y/N.” He interrupts you, coming to stand in front of you in just two short steps. “My father forced me. And yours, for that matter. I would never let you go. It was only under threat of your own harm that I chose to obey, but I swore to myself that as soon as I took control, I would come find you.”
The angry retort you had building dies in your throat, your head tilting to the side as if you hadn’t heard him correctly.
“You…you didn’t mean what you wrote?” Your voice has a hint of hope, like the last spark of a fire, but you can’t help it. If he was telling the truth, and you still weren’t entirely convinced he was, it meant he had been waiting for you all these years.
He grabs your face again, but it’s soft and caring this time, his thumb brushing across your cheek and collecting a tear you didn’t know had escaped. You look into his eyes, finding nothing but honesty, which only worsens it.
“It hurt that you think I would treat you that way, that I could just throw everything we had away…” Eris whispers, tilting your chin up so you can’t look away. “I’m not your husband. I take care of what is mine. Forever. ”
The mention of him makes you wince and somewhat come back to your senses, glancing towards the clock and realizing he could be back at any moment. If he caught you with Eris, there would be no telling what he would do. Eris could take care of himself; he was a High Lord now after all, but you were vulnerable.
“Pierre…he could be home any minute. Eris, you can’t be here. You need to leave.” You frown, trying to move past him, only to gasp when his hand moves down to your neck and stills you. The hold isn’t tight, but you freeze, wide eyes looking up at him in worry. “Eris, if he finds you here with me-”
“Did you not hear what I said, little fox?” He asks mockingly, bowing his head so his lips can brush against your ear. “I take care of what is mine. And you are mine.”
Eris accentuates his words with a roll of his hips, his half-hard cock pressing against your lower half teasingly. You don’t stop the whimper that sneaks past your lips or the way your neck turns so he can mouth over your pulse point.
“I’ve waited years for this moment, to see you again and take you home. I’ve watched as that pathetic excuse for a man dotes on you and brags about how pretty you sound in bed.” He growls, grabbing your hips and lifting you up effortlessly as you instinctively wrap your legs around his waist. “The only thing that kept me sane was knowing you weren’t moaning from him like you did for me, that he can’t fill you up like your needy little pussy begs for.”
“Please…” You whine, though you aren’t entirely sure what you are asking for. His touch was like fire against your cool skin, setting you aflame in a way you hadn’t felt in years.
One of his hands snakes between the two of you and quickly finds your panties, his lips curling back as he feels the heat of your cunt. You swear you hear him purr as he begins to furiously bite and suck on your neck and collarbone, marking you.
“Tell me what you need.” Eris commands, pulling back to look into your eyes.
Words fail you momentarily as you stare at each other, your heart threatening to explode as he refuses to drop his gaze. There were so many consequences to this decision, no matter what you choose, and so many things that need to be said before you can logically proceed.
But when the pad of his thumb presses against your clit and circles it slowly, the corner of his mouth tilting up to smirk, you know logic will not win tonight.
“You, Eris,” You moan, trying to press further onto his hand for more friction. “You’re all I’ve ever needed.”
You don’t have time to scream as he squeezes you tightly and carries you up the stairs, your body bouncing so that your lower half hits his cock with each step. He groans and looks around momentarily before kicking open your bedroom door. He then throws you onto the bed and starts to undo his belt, all while keeping those burning amber eyes on you.
“Strip. Now.” He orders, voice raspy as you hastily follow his instructions, your fingers fumbling with the laces of your corset. Eris is already naked by the time you have it halfway undone, his pale skin glowing in the moonlight as he stalks over to you and grabs both sides of your top.
“I hope you weren’t too fond of this.” Eris hums, giving no warning as he rips it in two. You shiver as the cool air licks at your skin, your nipples pebbling while he licks his lips in anticipation. “I always thought you looked better bare anyways.”
Heat runs down your body at the comment, your thighs clenching, immediately catching his eye. You try to rise up on your knees to kiss him, but he is quick to pin you down, straddling your waist as his cock rests heavily over your cunt.
“Let me touch you, please,” You don’t even recognize your own voice as you beg for him. It had been so long since you had felt this needy for someone. “I need something, anything, just please!”
Before you can babble anymore, his lips collide with yours, claiming you possessively as two of his fingers prod at your soaking pussy. He bites down on your bottom lip, and at the same time, he shoves his fingers inside, giving you no prep as he swallows your cries.
“I know, baby, I know,” He coos into your ear, moving to nibble on your earlobe. “We can make love next time, but right now, right now I need to fuck your pretty little brain out to make up for lost time.”
Your back arches as he curls his fingers, finding your spot with ease and teasing you as he kisses down your neck and to your breasts. He sucks your left nipple into his mouth, capturing it between his teeth and tugging until you moan. His cock is leaking against your thigh as he ruts against you.
Rough sex wasn’t new to you, though it had been a while. Pierre was always gentle, taking his time, and while Eris had his moments, he was quite fond of making you beg. However, when fantasizing about this, you always imagine Eris cherishing the moment. This was raw and feral.
“Eris, I’m c-close…” You groan, rolling your hips so he can get even deeper. Your walls flutter around his thick fingers, squeezing them, but right before you can fall over the edge, he pulls them out roughly. “No!”
“The only way you are cumming tonight is around this cock.” He grunts, flipping you over so that you are lying on your stomach before dragging your hips up. Both of his hands squeeze your ass before he lines himself up to your hole, rubbing his length up and down to coat himself in your slick.
“Ohhh fuck…” You moan as the head catches on your clit, your entire cunt throbbing in anticipation. “Fuck me.”
“Not yet, little fox. I want you to tell me how badly you want it.” Eris says lowly, grasping his cock and barely pressing into you before pulling away. “Tell me how much you missed me, how much you thought about me while your husband fucked you in this bed.”
Your nails dig so hard into the mattress you are sure you’ll rip it as you screw your eyes shut, already so sensitive from his teasing. It felt so wrong to speak the thoughts you have been burying for so long, to admit that you never got over the High Lord behind you.
All of your inhibitions get thrown out the window, though, as he lands a harsh smack on your ass, his fingers pinching your clit in annoyance.
“Don’t pretend like you haven’t thought about this, about me, Y/N. That whenever your husband would roll over at night after a mediocre fuck you wouldn’t rub that needy clit while wishing it was me.” He hisses, one of his hands grabbing a fistful of your hair and yanking until your neck is craned up. “Give yourself to me, let it go.”
“Yes, okay, yes, I haven’t stopped thinking about you!” You sob, every nerve in your body on edge as he grins in approval. “Every time I had sex, every night in the bath, I couldn’t stop picturing your hands. Your chest. Your cock.”
Eris rewards your confession with what you had been craving, thrusting his entire length in one fluid movement as your pussy burns from the stretch.
“More. Give me more.” He demands, pulling almost all the way out before snapping his hips forward.
“I-” You swallow, your mind starting to fuzz with the ecstasy of having him back inside you. “I would close my eyes and pretend it was you. I wanted it to be you. He could never compare to you, could never make me feel this good.”
Your head drops down as he lets go of your hair in favor of grabbing your hips, hypnotized by the way your cunt swallowed him whole. His hair was starting to stick to his forehead as he truly fucked you. There was no gentleness, no tendrils of love, just pure ownership and passion.
And cauldron damn you did you love it.
“Gods damn it,” Eris swears, moving one of his hands underneath you to rest on your abdomen so he could feel just how deep inside you he was. “Touch yourself, Y/N. I want you to cum on my cock as I fill you up.”
There was a distant panic in the back of your head at the thought of him cumming inside you. You weren’t on any special tea to prevent pregnancy. In fact, you were on something to encourage it.
“Eris, wait-” You try to protest, your words dying in your throat as he starts to rub your clit for you. His hands are calloused from years of use, giving you the friction that you need to cum within minutes. “Eris, I’m not on any birth control. If you-”
“What, you think I don’t want to knock you up?” He chuckles, voice rough as he increases the speed of both his fingers and thrusts. “Oh, Y/N, did you already forget you’re mine? I came here to claim you and breed you, little fox.”
“Oh my gods,” You whimper, the image only making you draw closer to your finish as he bends over to get right next to your ear.
“You’re going to take all of my cum and thank me for it. I’m going to do what your husband couldn’t, right here in his bed for him to smell when he comes home.” Eris sneers, a tingle going up his spine as he feels his balls tighten with the need to release. “I’ll have you barefoot and pregnant for me before he can even come get you. You’re fucking mine.”
“Yours, Eris!” You repeat, eyes rolling into the back of your head as you clench around him. He gives one more circle on your bud, and you are gone, lost to a mind-numbing orgasm that has him throwing his head back and roaring.
Every muscle in your body tightens and releases as you greedily milk his own cum into your womb, your screams echoing off the bedroom walls. You don’t even register Eris biting your shoulder, the pain mixing dangerously with the pleasure as small rivulets of blood run down your back.
You feel your knees give out as you collapse onto the bed, lungs begging for air while Eris slowly pulls out of you. He is silent, and you have just enough strength to look back to see him watching his speed leak out of your gaping hole, his fingers quick to collect it and stuff it back inside you.
“Eris…” You whisper, your eyes are heavy as he gingerly lifts you up and cradles you in his arms. “Is this…did you really come back for me?”
He lets out a small huff of air in humor as he nods, kissing your forehead and smoothing away your hair. Exhausted, you lean into the touch, and he seems to hold you closer. “I’ll always come back for you, little fox.”

This is controversial and I might get a lot of hate for this.
I don’t entirely blame Eris for not helping Morrigan.
First of all, the situation is not black and white to begin with. Eris is as much a pawn to Beron as Morrigan is for Keir. If the two end up marrying each other, Morrigan will be under Beron’s control. And if she suffers in Autumn, if she runs to Rhysand later and cries about her woes, who will they blame first?
Eris. Because he is her partner and he is supposed to protect her when it’s not that simple, else Lady of Autumn would have a better life.
This is exactly what would have happened if Eris hadn’t left her in the forest too.
Night would become an enemy of Autumn right away. It is a lose-lose situation and Eris chose the least damning path.
Second of all, from Eris’s standpoint, what Morrigan does is a humiliation, no matter how desperate an act it is. It implies she’d rather ruin her reputation than marry him.
And let’s admit it, Morrigan, the genius, of all the plans she could come up with, decided to sleep with someone. I get it, I really do. But if she has the liberty to go to Illyria alone and have the privacy to be intimate with someone, why didn’t she use that opportunity to run away to a different court? She has the ability to winnow, clearly transportation isn’t an issue. If her fear was that she could never escape her father and Rhysand has such a soft spot for her since the beginning, why didn’t she ask for his help for the same? Why do something that will get her punished if she is planning on returning home?
I'm aware that sounded like victim blaming. But who exactly is Morrigan villainising for five centuries for her past? I’m not saying she should go, ‘It’s all my fault that my father brutalised me and I was treated like trash’. Maybe direct the blame in the right direction instead of ‘I’m going to hate the other guy for the rest of my life even though he didn’t do anything to me and I insulted him only days ago.’
Being a victim doesn’t give her the right to villainies someone like this. Her spite gives a reason to the rest of the IC for hating Eris too.
Maybe she didn’t have any other choice and it was the only way. Still, at some point, she needs to take accountability and confront the situation for what it is. She still exploits Cassian and Azriel which shows how she sees her own actions. Her ‘healing’ if she ever gets her book won’t be about this at all.
And you know what, even if there wasn’t a shared secret that convinced Eris to back out of the marriage, he is allowed to be petty. Rhysand is petty with Tamlin and Nesta. Feyre destroys a court just to punish Tamlin. Cassian calls Eris a coward after finding out about his abuse. But that’s all fine because of their ‘trauma’. But god forbid, other characters are vindictive.
I don’t mind the Eris hatred really, but basing it on only this situation shows how close minded people are. Eris is neither an active participant nor an accomplice in the abuse. He decided to be a bystander in a serious issue that could very well have political consequences that threaten him, his family, and his people. How is this simple reasoning so hard when most of the people irl fall in this category. If it’s your life over another, not everyone would be running to play hero.
#ic can harm anyone they want and it's justified#but when they are the ones suffering everyone should come to their rescue forgetting their past?#just because a character doesn’t worship the ground ic walks on doesn't make them evil#at least eris showed some remorse for his actions#pro eris#anti morrigan#anti rhysand#anti cassian#anti inner circle#anti acotar#anti sjm

people might “it’s not that deep” this but i think it’s concerning the amount of hate feyre has been getting in the last few years.
it used to be really popular to criticize tamlin, now new readers wont allow folks to say fuck tamlin without ten of his annoying fans being like “but rhys did this” “but feyre was mean :(“ “he deserves a redemption arc”
the rise of misogyny and victim blaming in this fandom normalizes this behavior irl. would you see an abused woman who talks back to her abuser, he shows physical violence towards her, and tell her “well you knew he would react that way. why would you provoke him?? YOU’RE THE MANIPULATIVE ONE.”
especially with the rise of alt-right talking points on tiktok, conservatism, and misogyny. you can’t convince me there isn’t a problem with the way people hate on feyre to prop up her abuser.
acotar and acomaf chronicle feyre’s journey through being a lonely girl who falls in love with a man that promises her safety when she’s never known that, and then becomes controlling and wants to hide her from the world and disempower her. it’s not up for debate. it’s not subtle, it’s very on the nose for an abusive relationship. tamlin didn’t just change over night, you were viewing him through feyre’s rose colored glasses.
when i re-read acotar, i was struck by the fact that feyre and tamlin had maybe two serious conversations where they got to know each other before they were in love. feyre has more serious conversations with rhys in acotar and is able to be herself way more with him, and she notes that herself.
it’s scary to see how misogynistic female dominated spaces in book fandoms can really get, especially with misogyny on the rise in young men. does thinking that eris or tamlin are interesting mean you hate women? no, but when you hate on their victims and treat them noticeably more charitable than you do for female characters it does!

Non Shipping things I’m excited to learn about Lucien in his pov chapters:
-what are his other brothers’ names?
-What is his mother’s name? Who exactly is her family and why was Beron so eager to have a bride from them? Also what was his relationship like with her?
-Does he know about Helion or have suspicions that he’s not Beron’s son? (I refuse to believe he’s as smart as he is and doesn’t have any clue what’s happening to him).
-What exactly does he think about Feyre now? She calls him friend all throughout ACOWAR and ACOFAS but does he feel the same way?
-The nature/history of his friendship with Nuan.
-Who was his contact in Winter?
-What kind of fae was Jesminda?
-Does he know Azriel’s hatred of him is motivated by Elain or does he just assume it’s because of Eris? Does he return the sentiment or is it truly one sided beef still?
-How is Lucien treated/viewed by the humans? Not just the Nolan’s and the Band of Exiles but like…..humans in general. Does he actually interact with them much past Vassa, Jurian and Greyson or did he kind of just coop himself up inside the manor?

Undeserving
A/N: This took me way too long to write- I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it. This is Part 2 of Deserving, but it can be read as a standalone. This was written as a more self-indulgent fic and I might write an alternative part 2 that is sadder if you guys really want. Love you all <3
Summary: After years, you are happy, you have moved on. But what about the other half that you have abandoned? What about tthe one who hurt you most when all you needed was his help?
Request: N/A
Pairing: Azriel x Reader (Past), Eris Vanserra x Reader (Current)
Warnings: Angst (as usual), being married to Eris (ig for some of y'all that's an ick), mentions of Beron (bleh), really nothing else tbh please tell me if there is anything i should add.
~*~*~*~*~
"How have you been?" The High Lady of the Night Court sat opposite to you as you sipped at the tea that your dearest husband had provided. It had been over five years since you had left the Nigh Court, over ten years that you decided to find new purpose here. In Autumn Court. After Beron had died and Eris Vanserra had been announced as the new High Lord, you had originally gone over as an ambassador with Lucien, but after a few interactions with the now Autumn High Lord you had decided to stay. And now you were married.
"I’ve been well Feyre. Eris still treats me like a queen and I am always taken care of, he insists I always rest even though I do want to contribute and work, though he does relent on letting me participate in political meetings and interacting with the larger part of the court. He thinks they like me more than they like him," You smiled warmly as you thought of your relationship with the High Lord of the Night Court. Although it hadn’t been officially announced yet, due to the fact that Eris had to get rid of a few corrupt lords in who had been loyal to only Beron, you had overheard Eris discussing something with Lucien that you had not meant to find out.
~*~*~*~*~
It was midnight and you had awoken to an empty bed, still warm, meaning that Eris had not left too long ago, but not warm enough without his presence next to you. You stumbled down the great halls of the Forest House, finally coming across a room where a dim light shined through a slightly opened door, but as you were about to enter, you stopped and strained your ears to listen to the conversation that was happening inside.
You picked up on Lucien’s voice first, ensuring that you remained perfectly still and held your breathe. "You are being ridiculous of course she would say yes. You’ve planned all this so that you can make this day special for her, why are you still fretting?" Your lovers panic was palpable in his tone, "What if she hates it? What if she hates everything and decides to leave me? Oh gosh what if she leaves me?"
A chuckle escaped from Lucien and you felt movement and what seemed like pacing footsteps.
"I really love her, brother. She is the love of my life and I feel like I’ve waited for her since the beginning of my existence, but what if she hates what I am planning to do? Or what if I end up overwhelming her and she decides to reject me?" Panic. Eris was in a complete state of panic. The usually calm, indifferent and cold heir was panicking. Curiosity piqued in you as you remained outside the door of the study. "I’m sure she will agree, in the years you have been together all she’s yearned for is a life with you. She will be more than happy to agree for you to make her High Lady."
~*~*~*~*~
And so you were giddily awaiting the day that Eris had planned. You were careful in hiding that you knew, ensuring that he would not suspect anything. Smiling as you recalled the memory fondly, your attention was stolen by the doors off the sitting room opened, flaming red hair peaking through the doorway as it revealed your grinning husband.
"Eris!" You greeted as you saw Feyre’s lips curve into a slight smile, one she hid behind her teacup as your lover approached you, lips brushing against your forehead as he nodded Feyre’s way, a polite acknowledgment of her presence. "Am I interrupting, Little Fox?" He murmured and as you shook your head he slipped you a small piece of paper before bidding his farewell. Strange, but perhaps he didn’t wish to share whatever information was on the paper to Feyre. Understandable, seeing as the night court still didn’t entirely trust Eris.
Peering at the paper, you smiled at the words.
Nothing important, Little Fox. Was just missing you. See you later at dinner with the rest of the Night Court and Lucian.
Though Eris would never admit it he was clingy at heart, and you found it ever so endearing. Truly, it was adorable seeing the High Lord of Autumn, someone who had been deemed cold and cruel by the entirety of Prythian, decide to sulk at the absence of his one and only lover.
Sighing, you folded the paper and used your magic to winnow it to your room, continuing your conversation with your best friend without a hitch, gossiping about court relations and other subjects that came to mind.
~*~*~*~*~
Laughter roared through the dining room as Cassian pounded his fist against the table. Among everyone in the inner circle, Cassian had been the quickest to get used to Eris, but that was not before Mor and Eris made up and Eris provided a real explanation of why he had left her in the woods all those years ago, even offering to provide his own memories and thoughts to Rhys to prove himself. It was all so you did not have to separate yourself from your family, and he had done it only for you. Not that you had asked him to. You would have never asked him to be so vulnerable with people he might be uncomfortable with.
A part of you couldn’t help but notice Azriel staring at you, but you chose to ignore him. He had made his choice about you a long time ago, it did not matter if he regretted it now.
But the ruckus died in the dining table as Eris cleared his throat.
Looking around, you saw Rhys’s eyes seemed to be alight in anticipation and Lucian seemed to sit straighter in his chair as Eris stood, addressing your family.
"I’m sure you understand why I’ve chosen our monthly gathering to finally announce this. But it’s not really an announcement, yet." His eyes travelled across the room before finally landing on you. "Throughout the past few months I’m sure some of you know that I have been agonising how to do this properly, and some of you have even personally had a hand in helping me to try and plan something that would fit the best into Y/N’s lovely taste, and that’s when i realised that I didn’t need anything big or extravagant, she would have just wanted you all here, to share this." He paused as he knelt before you, holding your hands to his.
"I know this is a big thing to ask, and I understand if you need time, heck some of your family members may even discourage you from saying yes." He grinned nervously. "But I wanted to ask you now. Y/N will you do me the honor of becoming my high lady and binding my life to yours for the rest of my life? Because if one day you decide to leave this land, I don’t want to be far behind."
Inhaling deeply, he continued, "I love you, I know for a fact I love you and that I have loved you since you decided to show up to my court with my brother, grinning and laughing like fools. I have loved you ever since you had the defiance to stand up to my cold mask and tell me I could "shove that fake cold demeanor up my ass or screw off". I have loved you shamelessly and endlessly ever since you first decided to call me your own. Please, be my High Lady, let me dedicate my life to yours, to whatever end."
Tears filled your eyes as you nodded repeatedly, blubbering out a soft ‘of course’ as you flung yourself into Eris’s arms. Your family members all burst into cheers, Cassian taking you from your husband to swing you around and Feyre, Nesta and Elain crowding around you in excitement to gush over the news. This was exactly what you would have wanted. Nothing big or fancy, just a moment to share together, as a family.
That’s when you felt a tendril sneak up your arm, causing you to look back into where the shadow singer was now tucked away into a corner, he beckoned you to follow him and as you cast a look to Eris, he smiled softly and mouthed ‘i trust you’ before winking and returning to his conversation with Lucian.
You followed Azriel to a balcony just outside the dining hall, and he paused for a few seconds facing away from you, before his low, raspy voice rang out.
"Why him?"
You were taken aback. But you rolled your eyes, Azriel had pulled this same shit at your wedding.
"Don’t do this Azriel," You warned.
The shadow singer turned to you and under his gaze you froze at his rage.
"He doesn’t deserve you."
"And you think you do!" You scoffed, "I needed you, all those years ago I needed you. Not just your pathetic words that you would be there for me no matter what when it came to a time I needed you to choose me you did the exact opposite. For months I was broken. I believed that I didn’t deserve love if my own mate couldn’t bring himself to love me. You have no idea what it was like watching you love someone else. You have no right to tell me who deserves me and who doesn’t. You gave that up a long time ago so don’t even try."
Silence was all that followed and as you were about to return to the male who actually loved you, Azriel spoke.
"I’m sorry," And now with your back away from him you were reminded of all those years ago when you walked away from a situation that made you feel undeserving of love.
"I know," You said softly, your words almost unable to reach his ears, "But that’s not enough, Azriel. Being sorry has never been enough for me to stay with you. Let me go, please. You deserve love to. Please stop chasing after people you can’t have because that will be your undoing."
But as you left and Azriel was alone on the balcony, he tipped his head and whispered to the stars.
"It already is."
~*~*~*~*~

hi, i know the episode came out weeks ago, but i wanted to talk about ep 277 and your essay on it. i thought it was very well thought out and had brought up lots of concerns abt apollo's other victims and the harm persephone caused to others that i just. hadn't really thought about myself because honestly this webcomic is a BLUR to me LOL. thank you for writing these insights and putting them online for others to read ! i think you manage to keep a respectful distance to rachel [1/]
Yeah, regarding how the SA was handled...
I think Rachel did exactly as well as anyone might have expected someone like her to write a plotline like that.
Honestly if Rachel really did want to do the arrow thing, I think it would have worked WAY better if she had used the arrow of hate. First of all, because it had already been established back in S2 when it was shot at him by Psyche, but ALSO because making it an arrow of love confirmed that Eros literally did what Apollo asked despite the fact that he's Persephone's best friend and should have been more suspicious of what he was going to use it for. Why not just do a bait & switch where Apollo is under the impression that it's an arrow of love but Persephone trusts in her friend and pieces it together that it's probably an arrow of hate? It would also payoff the whole "news crew being nearby" thing (as well as all the other gods that just randomly showed up) because uh oh now they all see his true nature and he can't hide behind his lies anymore!
After all, as I mentioned in my previous post about this (the one I believe you're referring to) it's not like there wasn't already foreshadowing that Apollo was going to fall on his own sword the way of Mr Waternoose from Monster's Inc, he was already showing signs of cracking under the guilt that he was feeling towards how he treated Persephone/Eris/Hermes/etc. so why did it have to be Persephone taking a massive risk by sticking him with an arrow of love that still doesn't fully explain why he would even suddenly be a changed man? Loads of people like Apollo think they're in love / define their infatuation as love so I don't see how an arrow of love would suddenly make him empathetic to her pain. Especially when, again, he still begs her not to make him confess, so the guilt he's feeling is still completely empty and unmotivated.
I will leave this with one final thing that I saw the other day that very much reminded me of the Apollo SA plotline and I think it rings very true for the misdirected conclusion of the plot itself:
One of the biggest issues of the Apollo SA plotline, at least in my opinion, is that it never really gets to the root of why people like Apollo exist. There absolutely were strong foundations for this - he's the son of a guy who's known for being a serial cheater, he's popular and egotistical and is used to women wanting him, etc. - but all of those foundations kind of fell to the wayside in favor of turning Apollo into just another boogeyman, especially to lift Hades up as a "good man" by comparison (when Hades himself also falls on this spectrum). But many people like Apollo aren't just random guys in an alleyway or conspiring with some "higher power" that's manipulating them, they're men who fundamentally do not understand consent and assault on the varying spectrums in which it exists from "SA just exists, oh well" passiveness to "I'm an actual monster who gets pleasure out of victimizing women" aggressiveness. I think there's a lot to discuss about how people like Apollo exist WITHOUT sympathizing with them, but LO manages to do neither - not only does it give us uncomfortable and unnecessary looks into the rapist's POV more than we get the victims, but it does it in a way that doesn't actually address the issue of how people like Apollo come to be, it's just "Apollo is the big evil boogeyman who raped Persephone". Not only does it not actually put enough focus on the victims, but it reduces the societal and cultural complexities of where Apollo's brand of egotistical entitlement comes from to just "some guys just be evil like that". Guys like Apollo don't just come out of the womb like that, they're often shaped into what they are by a society that both excuses them for awful behavior towards girls ("Boys will be boys!") and enables - if not outright encourages - them to objectify women as trophies that they're entitled to. Even the seemingly innocent and sentimental practice of "giving away a bride" at a wedding is rooted in these patriarchal systems, with the belief that a woman first "belongs" to her father before being "given to" her husband.
It's the part of feminism that often gets overlooked - it's not just about uplifting female voices and helping survivors speak up about and heal from SA, it's also about deconstructing and challenging the patriarchal systems that lead to SA victims being created in the first place. Sure, Apollo got sentenced to building temples in the Mortal Realm, but what is that actually doing to address the bigger topic of how men like him come to exist in the first place? Especially when it was also treated as a good thing for TGOEM to be disbanded, instead of, idk... reworking it into a women's support group for survivors like Persephone?
IDK, it's a very complicated subject that you can approach from a million different angles, I don't think that my criticizing it should outweigh the opinions of those who were satisfied with the punishment that was given to Apollo (my saying the SA plotline sucked doesn't mean you're not allowed to find your own validation in it) but I do think that, at best, Rachel ended the SA plotline the only way she could because she herself is just not equipped to tackle such broad subjects that require a lot more education, experience, and nuance than what she's capable of writing. There are definitely 1298423108 better ways that plotline could have been resolved, but not with Rachel Smythe at the helm.
And that's my many cents on that.

When did loa start trusting Eris with her secrets? Hc for the first secret?
i'll say i don't think loa ever really does come to fully or willingly trust eris with her secrets, and to her, whatever sense of trust is between them is more like ... a tentative truce—even though eris would never, ever do anything to put her in harm's way. she doesn't know that, and she wouldn't believe it even if he said it right to her face. he is beron's son, and he has proven that time and time again. she believes he will ultimately do anything it takes to serve his own needs and has no real capacity for caring for anyone to the point of prioritizing them above himself. that's what makes his devotion to her and his brothers so devastating: she can never see it that way because she refuses to see him as anything more than what beron made him into.
when eris was a youngling, loa was extremely wary of saying the wrong thing in front of him, even when it came to pushing against the bigotry and classism beron was teaching him. if he repeated what she said in front of beron in the way children thoughtlessly tend to, they would both be punished; it was a risk she couldn't take. then eris was snugly in beron's pocket for his entire adolescence and even into his young adulthood. he was always so eager to prove himself to his father, who he idolized, and he believed everything beron told him without question—because why would he even think to question his father? why would his father lead him astray? how could his father be wrong? loa firmly believed he would have relayed whatever she told him to beron in a heartbeat if he thought his father would disapprove/he thought it would ingratiate him to his father.
so i think what happened ultimately is just—eris was too perceptive. even as a youngling, he was too quick, too smart. he would hear things or see things, and he just never forgot them, so he was able put information together across time in a way most other fae couldn't. offhandedly in conversation with loa, he would reveal how much he knew about various members of the nobility—things that he had no reason to know at his age—or (often correct) conclusions he came to based on tidbits he had gathered. he would always know his brothers' secrets, too—where they secreted away their treats, how they snuck out of their rooms at night and where they went, etc. and loa began to see how he would keep these secrets close to his chest up until he had use for them. if he wanted to keep his brothers in line, it certainly would be a shame if father were to hear of your nightly proclivities, or if he wanted to instigate, interesting. that isn't what carmine expressed to me.
which meant that when the day came when eris, who was still too young to swallow down the amount of anger he always felt, got upset with his mother and made an offhanded comment about her affinity for the sunlight, loa knew that he had been collecting her secrets for much, much longer than she realized. and that he had been keeping them—for what purpose, she couldn't yet know. but she knew that all she needed to do to get him to continue would be to incentivize him, to convince him that not saying anything would be more beneficial to him than revealing it. and so their fraught, tentative truce began. she thought she was playing the game with him, and he let her, because he had no language to tell her how much it gutted him that she thought of him in this way: a threat to be managed. but it just comes down to ... how can you ever fully trust someone who holds a sword over your neck?

Care to talk about Nighteye? Bc what has this asshole done to warrant his arrogance? Nothing.
He tortured his FEMALE employee. We don't have basis to assume he would to that with the male characters, maybe, maybe not. But he did with the only female one we saw.
And he insults Izu bc ...how dare you?! Mirio is the best(he isn't) and while he dies...the insult is never mentioned, and he is right. Bc fuck you Izu.
Am and Mirio cried about his death and....fuck what Izu is feeling.
Some fics make his agency deal with investigation but canon show us how this man is stupid and can't plan shit. It was a lucky thing Izu was there bc this could have lead to many many deaths.
I just....he is on the same level of Aizawa (they enter in the club "we hate Izu") but the thing is...he was killed. He didn't get consequences for his actions, he just dies.
(i don't even get why he was AM sidekick)
Well, I'm treating the tickle torture thing as how Nighteye disciplines all his sidekicks. What sense would it make, I reason, for him to have bought/created that machine just for Bubblegirl? Yeah, she's the token girl of the crew, but I wouldn't assume he only tickle tortures women unless told otherwise. I wouldn't compare Nighteye to Aizawa because Shota is only meant to be an antagonist for the first time you see him. He's an asshole but he stops singling Izuku out after he impressed him at the aptitude test. Aizawa's a toothless dragon. A dog who barks and never bites. He pairs Izuku and Bakugo together for the finals, yeah, but the narrative and Izuku think Bakugo is his rival and friend. Even when they broke the law to go rescue Bakugo, he still doesn't do a single thing. Izuku and Bakugo get into a fight unsanctioned after curfew and their punishment is cleaning duty and house arrest. It created one of the most unintentionally hilarious scenes in the series where Iida comes to mock Izuku for being under house arrest, despite Izuku having previously come to save Iida from his own attempt to murder a guy in cold blood. I'm not saying Aizawa isn't toxic, by the way, just that he's a visible tumor you could operate on vs Nighteye being sepsis. Nighteye is legions worse since his big idea was to bully a kid out of his quirk. He taught Mirio to prioritize the mission and the agenda over innocent victims, leading to them letting a victim walk back to a man who abuses her, and because this is MHA, no one gets punished for that braindead decision. He then dies and never has to answer for anything after learning that his quirk wasn't infallible. It was a cheap way to write him and his quirk out of the series. Now, since you want to read me dunking on Nighteye, I suppose I'll talk about how he was also an idiot who wasted his power. There's three possibilities for how Foresight works: -1, the MHA world is deterministic. "Fate" exists and everyone's destiny is written before they're even born. Foresight lets you glimpse at the structure of the world, its true nature. No one is actually responsible for anything they do. The only way to defy fate is to have immense power like Izuku and Eri, and to have the collective wishing energy of a bunch of people. Everyone who can't do this is a puppet. -2, Foresight actually takes the chaos of the universe and it forges it into order. It enforces a path on the future that cannot be changed or deviated from meaningfully. The use of Foresight does indeed rob people of their free will and set everyone on the path Nighteye sees. -3, Foresight shows a highly likely outcome, and the reason things seem like they can't be prevented is because by acting on this information, you enforce the prophecy. It's self fulfilling. Given the evidence, I lean towards the first one. This page and the events in the final war arc convince me. https://imgur.com/842jJkw So, Deku and Eri were fated to lose to Overhaul. The original timeline said he was meant to kill Deku, capture Eri and escape. They twisted fate thanks to their powers and the wishing energy of everyone's hopes and dreams. When we first see these pages, we can assume that it's the rationalizations of a dying man. But then the series does it again in the final war arc. So. -Nighteye had a 100% accurate means of telling the future with the exception of special cases that he'd never seen before involving wishing energy. -He didn't use this to create a 1984 dystopian society where criminals are caught moments after they do their crimes.
-With his power, all he needs to do is have someone he predicts the future of sit at a computer in the future. They'll slowly scroll down the pages that are filled with notes for Nighteye to read in the past. It'll include all of the details on new inventions, on what crimes were committed, on who becomes a big hero. And in the present day, this is used to ensure heroes always win. The events he sees are welded in time, but having access to the real names and locations of villains moments after they flee is invaluable for law enforcement. Not to mention how this could effortlessly let you win the lottery and abuse the stock market. You could take blackmail information acquired from Japan's spies and use it in the current day and age. You could plot strike teams for every single crime that happens before they happen, and then have your squads take people out without them ever having a chance to fight back, your guys perfectly countering their moves. The man could have been more powerful than All Might. A GOD who turned Japan into the strongest, richest and most politically powerful society on the planet. But instead his legacy was that he was a nobody hero who trained the eventual number 1 hero because he was obsessed with All Might and wanted to create another version of him. I'll end this by saying that the original fated timeline was WILD. Overhaul escapes with Eri, Midoriya's dead, OFA is gone, Mirio remains quirkless, Nighteye dies, and...what, the villains win? The League would want to go fight Overhaul as revenge for Magne but do they even stand a chance against him? If he took out Midoriya, probably not. The story doesn't go into the implications of what happens in a world in which Overhaul won that fight and fate was allowed to continue its designs, but that universe is fascinating.

I really don't understand why people hate on Cassian or Nessian so much. Eris wouldn't have treated Nesta as a Queen, he would've treated her as a tool/weapon. He would never have loved her. She wouldn't have become a better person with someone like Eris.
Cassian held Nesta accountable for her actions. Sure, he could've done it in a softer way - but I don't think Nesta would've taken it seriously. She wouldn't have respected him if he did anything less than call her out on her bullshit. He loves her so much and it's crazy to see so many people shitting on him.
For what? Supporting his HL? Newsflash - not everything Nesta has done is justified. She has made mistakes. She has taken risks.
If giving Bryce the mask hadn't paid off - would you still think Nesta had done nothing wrong? Nesta took a risk and she was lucky it paid off. But it was a dangerous gamble, and even Cassian knew that.
That doesn't mean he loves her any less. Nesta needs someone who doesn't just sit there praising her for everything - good or bad. She needs someone to call her out and hold her accountable otherwise she would never have grown out of her self-loathing, spiteful ass.
And I say that, as a Nesta fan. Growth for a character doesn't mean sitting back and letting them do whatever they want. It doesn't mean hyping up her cruel side or encouraging her to endanger more people, to hurt others.
Nesta had plenty of reasons to lash out, but her own trauma doesn't justify the pain she inflicts onto others. Cassian loved her the way she needed to be loved. He loved all her rough edges, and together, they healed each other. That's love. That's how it should be.
Anyone who hates on Nessian, or Cassian, or Nesta just clearly does not understand the books at this point.

No because why did I see a post talking about it's racist to hate Rhysand/Cassian and like Tamlin or Eris?
You know how dumb that sounds, right?
Race doesn't change the fact that I find them annoying.
Like, there are a bunch of posts talking about the things that these two have done and none of them have their race listed. Amren is a Asian woman and I would punt that hobbit sized bitch to kingdom come.
If there is a character that people hate, it's because of their actions and not their identity.
I hate Mor, does that make me homophobic? Does it make me misogynistic?
Are you forgetting that Rhysand, Cassian, and Azriel are racist towards Illyrians? Rhys quite literally insulted Nesta by calling her an Illyrian at heart? Do you ever stop and wonder what the actual fuck does that mean?
I'm not white either, I'm a black person. But if someone hates me, dislikes me, or finds me annoying, it's because I did something for them to think that way. You think I'm going to read about characters, see a character I don't like (who happens to be poc), and call them every slur in my head?
Half of the fandom doesn't even know what race they're based on, these guys are racially ambiguous as hell.
Bringing in race when it's not even fucking relevant? Both Tamlin and Rhysand treated Feyre badly but she still married Rhysand. The same guy who drugged her, broke her arm and twisted it, paraded her around like a whore, and almost got her killed when she was pregnant.
Do you think someone is going to write slurs towards them in every anti post they make? If people actually did hate them because they aren't white, you think they would call them the n word or something? Tell them to go back to Illyria?
Build a wall and make the Illyrians pay for it all? Make Velaris great again? Make the night court great again?
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR RACE, ETHNICITY, OR NATIONALITY IS, YOU CAN STILL BE AN AWFUL PERSON. Both in fiction and real life.
I swear, the Rhys and Cassian dick gobblers share one brain cell when it comes to shit like this. Your high lord sexually assaulted Feyre, don't forget that. And Cassian gave Nesta tough love when she needed someone to be there for her. Made her hike on a mountain when she was suicidal and he didn't look back at her once? Laughed when she was on the stairs in the house of wind?
You can find the post from @stellariium since they reblogged it with an argument and how dumb it was, always need a person to call out the dumb shit when they see it.

I don't know if it's just me but I really don't get the fascination and why people simp so hard for Azriel. At best he feels like an incel and at worst he seems a more than willing enabler of Rhysand and Cassian abuse of Fayre and Nesta. And when it comes to how he treats Elain, he only views her as a mere sex object, not an actual person with her own wants and needs. But then again neither does SJM.
Are you egging me to rant?😅 I am definitely not the right person to comment on this. I hate Elain and Azriel fascinates me lol. I’m a sucker for characters with damaged psyche and his past gives him that edge as of now. I think he has a lot of potential and layers if explored right, he could be a great character. But I get why people hate him.
IMO Azriel isn’t the way he is by choice and that’s the only reason I don’t hold him to the same standards as Rhysand and Cassian yet. Since he was in captivity during the formative years, he has a very masochistic worldview and it doesn’t get better later either as the narrative tries to sell through his relationship with his brothers. He genuinely seems to want to respect others and care for them but he doesn’t know how to. There are moments where you can see that side come out like when he reaches for Morrigan’s hand in presence of Eris, consoles Cassian when Nesta is taken for Blood Rite, and brings Nesta out of the mask’s hold, although these aren’t enough to define his character as a whole.
Okay this might be an unpopular opinion since many have theorised him to be a traitor: Azriel will be the most loyal out of the three. Cassian is loyal to Rhysand and Rhysand is loyal to no one but himself. But Azriel is loyal to the other two since they were the first to accept him despite his past and scars.
So instead of willing, I’d call him an unwitting enabler in Nesta’s abuse. He doesn’t take pleasure in her suffering or believe she should be punished. When Azriel first comes to the Illyrian camp, Cassian abuses him and only after that, he and Rhysand offer help. The same pattern is repeating with Nesta and Azriel possibly believes the IC has good intentions for her because of the parallels between the two scenarios. (Although SF negates his character foundation to validate Nesta’s abuse.)
His biggest flaw would be his blind faith in his brothers. Because of his insecurities, he believes everyone except him knows better when it comes to love and relationships. It’s why he doesn’t question their choices regarding their partners.
People are expecting him to have normal perception of romance, or relationship in general, because he is broody and often said to be serious than the other two, when in truth, he literally had no chance of growing as a decent person with the IC swooping in right after he was let out of captivity. He’s been stuck with the same toxic circle who exploit his trauma for 500 years. Everything he learnt about normal life, he learnt it from them. Right and wrong, whatever the IC believes, Azriel embodies it.
Rhysand made him a torturer when he doesn’t need one. Every time Azriel is ordered to torture someone, he is being retraumatised. He experiences those moments as both the tormentor and the victim, and so he’d have conflicting feelings of anger and guilt, which compounds into his self-loathing. Now imagine this happening to someone for centuries without processing any of it. He can’t deny this job because it’s his way of repaying the man who saved him from his misery. And I don’t even want to talk about Cassian and Morrigan situation. Cassian is using Azriel for an ego boost and Morrigan does whatever she does.
Azriel is basically ping-ponging between two of his major trauma over and over again with no room for acceptance or healing. This storyline can be explored in so many ways given the foundation. Also, his healing arc, if he has a proper healthy one, can significantly shift the group dynamics of the IC too. He’d have to confront all that mentioned above and if he pulls back in even one area, the rest of them will fall apart in a very, very satisfying domino effect.
But I am neither stupid nor hopeful. I am very aware that most (if not all) of this is going to be magically fixed with a mate and sex. And canon Azriel is only going to get ten times worse since he is the tension for Elucien ship and his character is going to be dragged through pavement to uplift Elain.
As an ace, the whole fantasising about someone sexually who isn’t even your partner as an idea doesn’t make sense to me. However, I’m told, that’s how most sexual brains work. They fantasise about the people they are attracted to. So the bonus chapter outrage is bizarre to me.
In the previous books, there were similar notes for Feyre, once with Helion and once with the bat freaks. In Nesta’s, she dreams about a threesome with Cassian and Azriel. But all that is sexy, hot, female empowerment moments. Then rolls in a man’s POV, and everyone is losing their mind when Elain is probably doing the same. Only we don’t get her POV. I guarantee you in her book, there will be something as stupid as her thinking about Azriel while touching herself and all of a sudden the face in her dreams will morph into Lucien’s, and this very same fandom will cheer for her saying she should get it on with both men.
Azriel doesn’t plan that far into the future because the last time he was in love, he waited for a woman for 500 years. He didn’t expect things to get this far this smoothly. (This is based on his past and how his stupid brain should work. I don’t remember the exact monologue, so I could be wrong here)
I’d understand this crusade against him if Azriel was already in a commitment and he only valued it for sex. Do we seriously believe Elain was mapping out a future with him when she made a move on him? That she is hopelessly in love with him and that’s why she wanted him? It was just as much a sexual release for her as it was for him. But it’s excused since she is a female lead in a ‘feminist’ book. If we had her perspective, it would’ve probably gone the same way except with some flowery prose and a slightly less focus on Azriel’s dick because that’s how SJM interprets power in her female characters.
And I disagree with Azriel ignoring one’s needs or wants. He left Morrigan alone after she rejected him. He did the same with Elain because of the mating bond. He only made a move after she showed clear interest in him. His tantrum with Rhysand felt more like a child grasping at straws trying to convince himself more than another. I’d be more concerned about him if he harassed Elain into accepting him like someone else did.
After Cassian, I’m not willing to give leeway to any MC in these books. But I rely on patterns in behaviours and so far, Azriel might think a certain way yet his actions say another. He is quite impulsive in general but he shows restraint when it comes to romance because of his insecurities, and rarely ever acts on his feelings. Everyone gets messy thoughts, that doesn’t make them a bad person. As long as they don’t translate into actions, it’s harmless. That’s where I’ll put Azriel for now. His screws are a little loose but he isn’t much of a threat yet.
I already talked about how I feel about this drama. I don’t mind people crucifying Azriel for this, it is well deserved. But Elain isn’t all that innocent.
Right now, Azriel is an excuse for her. Her rebellion against her fate. A convenient lay when the bond is loud with Lucien so close to her. She isn’t prioritising anyone’s feelings either other than her own. She is using him to put off an honest conversation about her future. So why is she different from him? Why isn’t she getting the same hate?
Everyone is hell bent on Elain’s choices and desires when she literally is the only one to choose and she has no pressure. If she wanted a real relationship with Azriel, who is going to stop her from rejecting the bond? It’s sort of a spiritual connection only she and her mate can decide on. She is stringing along two men just so she doesn’t have to take ownership of her life. And all the political plotting is happening behind her back while she happily acts clueless.
Elain is an adult. She was engaged to a man once on her own accord. She is capable of and has been making choices in her life whether others want to see it or not. She isn’t a helpless woman caught between men, she knows exactly how the world works and she is playing into it. And just because Azriel is a pathetic loser, the fandom has honed in even more on victimising Elain.

Bro, Aizawa can go kick rocks. That last ask you posted got me so mad about him all over again.
I have no clue how Hori meant to write Aizawa. On one hand, he admits he really has no idea what the fuck he's doing as a teacher, doesn't actually teach his students anything, lets Bakugou do whatever the hell he wants with no consequences, and was wrong to treat Izuku the way he has been since day one. He even admits that he has no clue about his students DESPITE THE UA TRAITOR BEING ONE OF HIS STUDENTS.
On the other hand, he's arrogant enough in his teaching abilities to get offended when Mic calls him out for being a terrible teacher, doesn't say shit about Ida's internship choice despite knowing how suspicious it is, only gives ONE "I'm sorry, Izuku" with ZERO reflection or introspection as to why he hated Izuku so much, and hypocritically accused All Might of favoring Izuku despite not just blatantly favoring Bakugou and Shinsou, but shutting down Mic when he brought up said favoritism.
Worst thing is, everything in the second paragraph is to be taken at face value. We're supposed to see him as Kakashi 2.0 and this amazing teacher, but really he's just an arrogant asshole who if he were a real teacher, would have gotten MANY students killed due to his negligence and love of dishonesty.
Exactly, he's so inconsistent. I suspect this is due to his role as Horikoshi's mouthpiece. Isn't it a little suspicious that both times that Bakugou faced criticism from the public, Aizawa was conveniently placed to shut them down? Because the heroes at the Sports Festival and the reporters at the press conference are supposed to be us. Horikoshi, through Aizawa, is telling us how we're supposed to be regarding Bakugou, despite the fact that Bakugou's actions completely refute what Aizawa's saying.
(The worst thing about this is that it works. I suspect a big reason why people are so convinced that Bakugou's character arc was good is because of what Aizawa says. It's easy to buy into something if it's being told to you directly)
It's actually a shame because Aizawa didn't have to be a bad character. He's actually a pretty good hero, and his attitude towards Izuku's ideals wasn't exactly wrong. His execution absolutely was and he's really shitty about it, but I can understand the fear that someone who's self-sacrificing with a quirk he can't control will get himself killed.
The issue is Aizawa didn't care enough to a) actually understand what was going on and b) make the effort to teach Izuku better. So everything about him- his background, intention, trauma, beliefs- means nothing because he's not actually taking the steps to address and amend them.
Someone- not naming names- tried to make the argument that Eri ruined Aizawa's character. But honestly? She's the only reason I like him even a little bit. If we discount the light novels (and we should because from what I can tell they're awful), their relationship can be cute, even if we only ever see him escorting her around. Those little moments make him more human. It's not great (because again, they're barely together), but it does endear me towards Aizawa, if only a tiny amount

One thing that I haven't seen anyone call out is how after Bakugou is rescued, the series starts constantly introducing new characters that we're expected to care about, ie they take a bunch of time. The big three, Sir Nighteye, Overhaul, Gentle Criminal, La Brava, Eri, Giantmachina, Lady Nagant, The MLA and Licence Exam both came with a bunch, etc. And I like a lot of them, but just so much time gets dedicated to these new characters.
Like did we really need real Camie, especially with how the League got slaughtered and it's treated like oh well it's for the best. Why would the League keep her alive if they are so evil that them dying is a good thing? Keeping her alive is a waste of resources right after they lost their source of cash, and if she escaped Himiko could have very well been caught. Why wouldn't the 'oh so evil' Toga just drain all her blood. But not only is she confirmed to be alive she gets to join Bakugou and Shoto in their make up classes for their licenses.
(I apologize in advance for this relatively short answer having so many footnotes.)
So, while I can see your point, @arceus-insanity, and I think it’s a valid view for certain takes on what the story could have been, for the story I wanted, I have to disagree.
I both like a lot of the new characters and think they deserved time—more than they got already, even. Heck, I wish we’d gotten even more new characters after the first war, rather than the story functionally locking the cast in place save for the Tartarus escapees that the story didn’t give a shit about anyway. The only other new characters were, what, Star and her crew, who do nothing that couldn’t have been written around in a hundred different ways, and a few conspicuously unnamed heteromorph characters to help shepherd that storyline to its limp conclusion? As I said here, I think it’s absurd that events as dire as Gigantomachia’s rampage and Shigaraki’s subsequent escape wouldn’t stir things up in the country so badly that new characters would be coming out of the woodwork!
But then, I’m also one of those people who does sincerely believe that the post-Jakku material needed to be at least as long as the second act.[1] Obviously that wasn’t feasible with Horikoshi’s health being what it was, but I do think my ideal version of the story would have had that kind of length. But then x2, I’m also one of those people who does sincerely believe that BNHA suffered tremendously when it became, at the dictates of its frankly absurd popularity poll results, The Stoplight Trio Show.
1: To me, the second act runs from the chapter after Deku and All Might meet again on the beach, with Deku reflecting about the end of the era of All Might, to the chapter that ends with Deku having left UA—so, Chapter 96 to Chapter 306, for a total of 211 chapters. Compare that number to the first arc’s 95 chapters and the final arc’s 117—or 124 if you include the full epilogue—and it’s easy to see where the greater bulk of the story lies.
I think BNHA really did cry out to be a true ensemble piece, rather than a story about, like, 3.5 kids and the intermittent adventures of some of their friends. A more expansive story in both its cast and its pacing would have served it much better, I feel, especially one that really forced the kids to step out into the world more independently, rather than retreating to the safety of the dictates of their mentors. Instead, we got a story that just kept getting bigger all the way to the climax despite the fact that the stuff to fill that story—both the cast to meaningfully contribute and the interesting worldbuilding ideas—stopped being able to keep pace with the story’s scope long, long before the end.
So yeah, Horikoshi certainly wound up with far more characters than he could handle, but for myself, I’d rather have had the story that was big enough to give all those characters ample room, rather than the story that was only big enough to accommodate the ones Horikoshi could coherently build a plot around. And if we couldn’t have either, well, I’m just as happy with the big cast. Most of my favorites are from those side character numbers, anyway.
As to Camie and Toga, while I think you’re right that Camie’s survival is a clear indicator that Toga was never as evil as a lot of the Heroes thought,[2] I don’t think I can bring myself to agree that the story treats the League’s deaths as a good thing because they’re just so evil. Rather, the story just has a much harsher view on criminal responsibility than I think a lot of Villain fans—myself certainly included—wanted or were expecting from the ending.
2: Sure, maybe the talking point is just that Toga kept her alive for a back-up blood supply, but given that it seems like Toga had no interest in an extended infiltration scenario, but rather just wanted was to crash the Provisional License Exam and leave immediately afterwards, it hardly seems like she’d need much back-up!
Camie’s a good example: Toga isn’t so evil that she would kill an innocent high school girl on a whim.[3] She would hurt an innocent high school girl on a whim, so she still has to be Punished (because this damn manga is so welded to the idea of not forgiving characters who did things wrong[4]), but because she wouldn’t kill for it, she doesn’t get an ending where the readers are cheering for her to get dropped out of orbit by Ochaco the Implacable or some shit.
3: The whim being wanting to meet Deku and Ochaco again. 4: Unless they were Heroes, of course. Authorial forgiveness for Heroes is limitless.
That is to say, the story doesn’t think it’s good that Toga dies, though it may think it’s “for the best” for the same reason a lot of people who were satisfied with her death identified: she’s too tragic and sympathetic a character for the reader to want her to be executed by the state or grow old and die behind bars, but she’s committed too many crimes for there to be other believable options.[5] I sincerely think that, for Horikoshi, the League gets the deaths they do because they’re not so evil that they deserve any of the story's alternatives.
5: For myself, I think if readers couldn’t believe in other options, that’s just a failure of the imagination, but it’s more on the story than the readers—it was Horikoshi’s responsibility as the author to set the boundaries of reader expectations.
But then you could also run that cause and effect backwards, too: because Horikoshi wanted to keep the League sympathetic, he would never let them go too far. If Horikoshi wanted gentler outcomes for his fully tragic characters but was terrified his readers would think he’s Soft On Crime, he couldn't risk alienating people by letting the League go so far that readers would get angry at his Heroes for wanting to save them.
The story just doesn’t have the courage of its convictions if those convictions run the risk of displeasing the readers. That’s why Toga dies anyway despite not being so evil that she’d kill Camie, and it’s also why we focus on the same handful of popular characters despite Horikoshi (judging by his obvious enjoyment of introducing distinctly designed new characters by the truckload!) clearly wanting to tell a sweeping ensemble story.
Though I had my quibbles, thanks for the ask!
