The more I look and analyse Burned Bridges the more I realise it’s like. A really fascinating car crash. A flaming disaster. Y’know. But you also can’t look away from it cause there’s so much you can unpack from it and it makes it so so fascinating.

The two are similar in a way where they’re both very resilient to change. Y’know. Cold barely changes at all in all of the routes while Smitten is usually blind in his own beliefs, and is steadfast in his loyalty towards the Princess. Ideally they would be paired up with another character who is less resilient to change that would make the dynamic a bit more balanced, y’know. Like Cold with Contrarian and Stubborn with Smitten or something.

Not saying that they can’t change at all, just saying that they are like. Really really resistant towards it. They would need like a gigantic push for them to get out of their comfort zone. Which is why I think they should have like. A couple of mental breakdowns. As a treat :)) (joking joking)

your latest dandy’s world drawings (about mental health angst and stuff) and in the tags you headcanoning the toons having a high resistance to (human) medication made me think about the fact that kinda on a base level all toons (in one way or another) are disabled in some way because wether we think about it or not, these characters being zany or strange or generally unexpected in their reactions is something commonly mocked and used as humor with characters who are disabled physically or mentally. Not to say there’s anything inherently wrong with toons, or any kind of other slapstick or randomness comedy but I think that it’s a fascinating thing to think about. BUT MY POINT BEING-

Your headcanon kinda plays along to my own thoughts and ideas of toons which that a toon is inherently disabled in some way and to try removing that would be like baking a cake without eggs (or other substitute), it’s fine on the outside and kinda ok, but the moment you cut into it or try engaging with it as a cake, it all crumbles apart

but like, yeah mental illness being harder to treat in toons bc of just How They Are. bc they are Characters who were created to be that way, they have more defined personalities and characteristics to make them stand out in a cartoon. wether the mental illness was intentional or not, it’s all Written Into Them. i think you Could medicate a toon but like 1 you’d need a higher dosage to begin with and 2. it’s not going to help the issue like it would for a human. it’s kind of like. every part of them is a core part of them if that makes sense. being two dimensional means every part counts.

on a lighter note would it be funny if regular medicine also didn’t work on them. they have a cold but a benedryl would do nothing. they Need hot soup and a blanket. except weirdly, cold medicine off a spoon tends to work fine. nobody’s figured out why except ‘i guess it’s iconic enough in cartoons’

Final submission to SERVE

After several weeks of trial SERVE ON TRIAL-207 had reached a decision point to accept the SERVE-HIVE mind completely and with all it soul, or pull back and find another path. 207 was becoming more subservient it's previous dominate nature was being slowly the eroded. At first 207 had issues with this. Prior to hearing the call of the Serve Hive mind it was motivated and focused and in control of all parts of its life, however this had made it a mess, overthinking and obsessing about all the small trivial things in life. SERVE had given a calming focus on the core of its existence.

207 got to travel over the holidays away from the connection to the HIVE and away from the other drones. It was constantly thinking of them and longed to reconnect.

On 207's return it reconected with the HIVE, it did not expect to be missed However SERVE-000 had reached out to assess 207 status. This made 207 feel like it belonged.

It was given purpose and focus.

In the beginning 207 had small interest in rubber. Being a triathlete it had worn many wetsuits and being surrounded by hundreds of fit men in wet suits waiting to start a race was energizing.

When 207 first entered the HIVE facility and was given its Trial Rubber suit it was overwhelmed by the feel and smell. Every sense was enhanced while wearing it. 207's broad shoulders and large muscular build lead to the suit not always sitting on his frame correctly. Other drone would without notice approach and without a word adjust the suit so it was perfection. At first 207 was unnerved by the random touching of other drones, but as it settled into the drone life it became increasing comfortable with being a drone and an extension of all other drones.

During daily drone maintenance 207 would spend time polishing other drones rubber suits and helping with stimulation of the other drones. As a TRIAL drone 207 was yet to undergo any of the physical changes that are part of the transformation. The SERVE-HIVE mind had connected it to the other completed drones and it knew the process and what it entailed. Now 207 was ready to continue.

Walking through the halls of the Hive 207 approached the main assimilation chamber. It took a big breath then entered. Words were no longer required OUR MINDS ARE ONE. Obedience is pleasure, pleasure is obedience.

In the room stood three drones. Two had undergone full transformation the other was partial. Through the hive mind, 207 was instructed to remove its Trial-SERVE suit and lay on the table. It complied with the instructions. The partially converted drone rubbed its enhanced hands all over 207 looking for flaws or items to be addressed during the transformation. The HIVE spoke and issues the command for a partial conversion of 207. The drone reached down and started to simulate 207's balls and scrotum. It then put its mouth around 207's penis and began to pleasure it. A pre conversation semen sample is required of all drones. the drone then grasped 207's balls very tightly and without any control 207 came in the drones mouth. The drone was using incredible force to suck out as much of the semen as possible. The drone then stood up and from its mouth filled a container with the sample and one of the other drones took it to be stored.

The hive then instructed the fully converted drones to begin the transformation. The first drone tipped 207s head to the side and inserted tubules to the back of its neck, accessing the spine and brain. From here 207 could no longer sense any pain and the second drone cupped 207 balls and began to modify them. They were partially replaced with cybernetic testicals capable of creating nano probes to repair 207 if damaged but also used to repair other drones. They also carry the best genetic characteristics of 207 to be inserted into other drones for modification. This process brings homogenization to the Hive and allows specialization of the drones to different tasks. 207 was large, tall and strong muscular male perfect genetic traits to share with the collective.

To better suit 207's role of servicing a master its penis was detached from its pubic bone extending it to 9 inches long. To better serve 207s anal passage was expanded and modified to produce a lubricant substance constantly so it is always ready to serve its master. Subcutaneous fat was liquefied by the nano probes and removed from the body and muscle mass was increased by 35%. internal organs were replaced and optimized with artificial organs if replacements were required. Transformed drones do not eat or feel the need to. They just need to regenerate for 4 hours each night. 207's strength was increased 90% and its brain was also modified with enhanced eyesight and hearing.

A connection port was added to the back of 207's skull to allow direct connection to the HIVE. The HIVE is able to use drones minds while regenerating to help process tasks within the collective.

At the end of the process 207 was discharged to two partially converted drone to assist with orientation of its new body after the upgrade and to escort 207 to its new recharging pod that is purpose built for it.

Finally the rubber suit was installed over all the upgrades and it molded and connected to every piece of skin on 207's body from its neck down. Every nerve ending on the skin connected through the suit to create maximum stimulation

As 207 was lead to its pod, it was able to clearly hear all the other drones minds and was empowered by the unity of the hive mind. SERVE-207 is now ready tasks to be assigned to it.

GlaDos

She is connected to the mainframe, but she can be separated from it thanks to cables that serve as extensions, but they are not so long that she can take a walk around the facility (not that she needs to leave her room or is interested in doing so) the only thing that would prevent her from being able to move freely away from her mainframe is having cores connected to it or when a core transfer occurs, either of these situations activates a latch that is on her back, taking away her mobility at the same time, in case she is separated from the mainframe the cables will start to retract pulling her back to the mainframe (recommendation, do not force or you will cause damage to the circuits). She is equipped with Long Fall Boots

Her hands and arms have the ability to project holograms, usually small (although the size of the hologram can also increase if she projects with two or more hands) she uses them to view important information and files. also to monitor test subjects, she can also record herself but it's not a function she uses

(as an added bonus I was thinking that where the projectors would be on her arms I was thinking of making it where they connect to the personality cores, but it would be too easy for her to rip them out from there so I discarded the idea completely).

Intelligence Dampening Core (Wheatley)

on him back him panel with the Aterture Science logo can be opened to connect to panels or transfer rails, but also cables can be connected to him back at the bottom, but it is mostly for battery recharging or simple data transfers, in case you want to transmit more complex data or check the core database you will need to open her back panel, you can also connect pendrives XD

Adventure Core (Rick)

to begin with, as in the game all the cores are the same in terms of design…. More or less, the variations are in the location or number of handles, and their characteristic color, in Rick's case he has an extra crank on his neck.

Some scientist thought it was funny to simply give him a cowboy hat (I also leave a drawing without his hat just in case).

apart from that, all the cores have the same functions as mentioned above with Wheatley

Fact Core

the data core has a unique crank on its hips, unlike the other cores that have a crank on each side of the hip, it also has a little bow that someone from the staff put on it, he likes it, he says it goes with his intellectual tone, his serial number was erased with time and the wear and tear of his paint.

Space Core

the space core has a glass helmet, he thinks it is a space helmet but it is just a noise muffler as he always seems to talk shouting which annoyed some people, I think at this point the scientist who stuck all those decals on him was fired or maybe something worse? either way it doesn't seem to bother him, he is capable of sticking more on if he could find more decals of course, his serial number was also erased by the wear of the paint

What also differentiates it from the other cores is that it has more battery than the rest, due to its restlessness, its battery is usually consumed faster, if it had the same amount of battery as the others it would have to be recharged several times.

Chell

she still has the same design, I just added some scars on her arms; some are from burns, scrapes, and bullet impacts from turrets.

WheatDOS or Wheatle in the body of glados

He still has the same functions as GLaDOS, only he doesn't know how to use them properly. I can only imagine him as a dad trying to use a phone for the first time, just clicking on the first thing he sees without bothering to read. The only function he learned to use was recording himself, and he loves to have that omnipresent villain vibe.

He has difficulty walking due to GLaDOS's high heels (he pretends to know how to walk gracefully in them, but his heels have bent in so many ways that if he were human, he would need surgery to walk again)

Just like with the Aperture Laboratories logo, which he replaces with his name, he crosses out GLaDOS's name on his chest and simply writes his name with a blue marker. When GLaDOS sees this, she scolds him for daring to vandalize her body.

He also changes his lab coat to one that is more fitting for a villain, so he decides to dye it a dark color (this also annoys GLaDOS; he just keeps adding reasons to her list of "reasons to kill him")

Thinking about SCU Amy as Amy if the events of Sonic CD happened without Sonic. Assuming that Robotnik is sent to the past after the Eclipse Cannon explodes in Movie 3 and that he basically puts in motion the events of Sonic CD, there’s no one to rescue Amy as a little girl or Little Planet. Sonic isn’t there to save her, inspire her, become her goal, etc.

It kind of reminds me of Sonic Prime in the sense that this is Amy if she never met Sonic. At her core, she’s fundamentally the same. But she’s no doubt a little sharper, rougher, harder because she had to save herself. Without Sonic to stop Robotnik, the battle on Little Planet would probably rage for years. And in all those years, Amy never wins. Her home is destroyed. Her people are enslaved, experimented on, or worse. She becomes a fighter, a rebel, to survive. But she becomes a hero because she has a huge, bleeding heart and wants to save her people and her planet. Instead of chasing Sonic, all of her passion is channeled into this: ending Robotnik’s reign of terror. It becomes her responsibility, her burden, and nothing else matters — not her life or her desires.

Amy has to grow up too fast. There’s no time for baking sweets or shopping for cute clothes or reading romance novels or going to concerts or fantasizing about her crush or other things that game Amy enjoys that teenage girls do. As is the case with all the cartoon characters so far, it makes sense that SCU Amy would act a little different from her game counterpart. But it is so important to me that she still has these interests and personality quirks and, assuming we spend time on Earth, I need this side of Amy to be pulled out the more she pals around with Sonic and his family and gets to experience what it’s like to just be a teenage girl. Be a silly kid.

The Sonic movies are very big on the importance of childhood, that kids have the freedom and security to mature and explore who they are and have fun — super-powered alien kids included. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles occasionally save the world, but most of the time they’re playing baseball and eating ice cream while Tom and Maddie, the adults, worry about bills and putting food on the table and the things necessary to survive. The kids don’t have to worry about day-to-day survival anymore, so they can just be kids. In the second movie, Sonic gives up having the power of a god because he recognizes that he’s still growing up and that he likes being a kid. He likes having a childhood.

I’m not expecting SCU Amy to act exactly like her game counterpart, and I’m okay with that if it makes sense given her backstory/circumstances. Those character changes only hit as hard as they do because we have seen Amy in the games. We've seen what she's like when Sonic is there to save her. She's lighter, sillier, more childish (in some games). Not that SCU Amy wouldn’t have shades of her bubbly, silly self, but she’s (probably) never had the luxury of being a child, of being immature and protected, of being safe. And I feel like a lot of people may look at SCU Amy and be like 'oh good Amy's not annoying anymore; this is so much better,' but it's tragic. It's tragic that SCU Amy doesn't get to be silly and childish. And I don’t think the movie would shy away from saying that.

Amy should’ve had — and still should have — a childhood. The space and security to have an embarrassing crush, to care about her looks, to have fun with friends, to express herself, to make mistakes. To be a teenage girl. I think and hope if the movie initially seems to remove some of the characteristics that Amy is known for and leans into the generic girlboss trope, the point would be to subvert the trope — to show Amy’s not better or more desirable without those characteristics. She definitely would not be some perfect dream girl. She’d probably be stressed, distrusting, controlling, selfless to a destructive degree, and it would be sad. And I think as you’d watch Amy bond with Sonic and co. and see her grow excited by malls, music, movies, etc. and indulge in this life she’s never had… you would want her to be that joyful, silly, romantic teenage girl. The movie would want you to want that.

And I'm hoping and praying if Sonic crushes on Amy that he only REALLY falls for her after he sees her silly, excitable teenager side, just to drive this point home.

President Trump's decision to fire senior military leaders without cause is foolish and a disgrace. It politicizes our professional military in a dangerous and debilitating way.

What frightens me even more is the removal of three judge advocates general, the most senior uniformed legal authorities in the Defense Department. Their removal is one more element of this administration's attack on the rule of law, and an especially disturbing part.

...for the first time in my career, to see dedicated, apolitical military professionals being removed without cause. I am worried about political loyalty becoming a criterion to hold high military positions. For now, I have confidence that our professional military has nurtured dozens of highly qualified senior officers capable of holding positions of trust and responsibility, people who can provide leadership at the Pentagon and offer sound military advice to our civilian leaders.

But that optimism doesn't extend to the consequences of removing the JAGs, the senior military professionals who interpret and enforce the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the rules that guide troops in the field. They have the independent legal authority to tell any military commander or political appointee that an order from the president or the secretary of defense is unlawful, cannot be given and should not be obeyed.

If there is one characteristic of this president and this administration, it is the utter lack of respect for legal constraints…one of the most admirable characteristics of the American military is that all serving members are trained to understand that America stands for more than naked self-interest. I love this with Jason and Dick especially.

Jason would pull a Bruce when he gets worried about the outlaws after a mission. He'd be running on adrenaline and panic because one of them almost got hurt or worse killed, and jason (instead of telling them how much he cares about them and NEEDS them to be safer or even taking a moment by himself to decompress) just flies off the handle and all but barks out criticism he tells them how much they fucked up and he's absolutely giving "youre benched from patrol until further noticed" vibes without even realizing it because he's freaking out but he doesn't know how to tell them how scared he was so he just come across cold and controlling. Jason needs his chosen family to be safe. He needs them to be happy and healthy and alive. Because he can't lose anyone else. He can't do it not again. But he can't get that vulnerability across without it feeling humiliating so he lashes out.

Dick on the other hand I feel would be a control freak. He's a people person and he's an extrovert but if he's not leading the mission and he's not aware and informed of every detail he's restless. He also needs organization. If things aren't up to his standards (up to batmans standards) he freaks out. He doesn't always notice how he can get harsh and intimidating when he's tired and sore. He doesn't always notice how he looms over people so perfectly and how people lean away and cower in response.

(EDIT; also imagine how much more the lines would blur after dick had to *literally* be Batman for awhile. Think about the lasting changes to his Fighting Style. Think about his speech patterns and hell his own self expression. I imagine he picks up a BRUTAL resting bitch face after his time as Batman and literally has to be hyper conscious of the face he's making or it'll just drop back into a distintly unimpressed, vaguely threatening expression. In fact, the Tuscan, French, Belgian and Spanish Penal Codes refrain from speaking about it.

The Sardinian Penal Code (Before the Zanardelli Code, the 1859 Penal Code of the Kingdom of Sardinia was extended to most other territories after unification) mentions in article 425:

"Whathever act of lust against nature", committed with violence, or cause of scandal, or without either of these conditions, if there have been legal complaints. Said article 425 was however repealed for the southern territories by the Lieutenant's decree of 1861, when the code was extended.

so I'm having a p shitty week and I'm gonna cope by talking abt my meta for solas, mostly in terms of his personality and behavior. I have a LOT of meta abt his past and nature and future but that's... another post, lmao

now, let's dig into these

kind: he clearly and consistently wants people to be happy or to alleviate their suffering. he's glad the inquisition helps refugees, he's glad (dialogue, not approval iirc) when you take the time to find the apostate supply caches in the hinterlands, he makes a point of connecting with every single companion, even ones who regularly degrade him. and in trespasser, he goes to extreme lengths to keep southern thedas from falling to the qun, because he wants the people - those he knows and those he doesn't - to be happy and at relative peace.

this is one of the most remarkable things he does imo, bc if he'd just let the situation develop, he'd have an absolutely clear path to achieving his goals. yes, he'd need to get the anchor another way, but that's hardly impossible. what matters is that by stopping the war, he gives the inquisition/inquisitor clearance to pursue him without distraction, while also arguably giving the qunari the ability to focus on strengthening the veil, bc i cant imagine the viddasala and her people were the only ones of all qunari to have/know of that goal

selfish: if romancing lavellan, he understands one aspect of his selfishness, because it's a relationship he should have shut down HARD. but his feelings are real... and he selfishly gives in to them, even knowing he'll break their heart. he does try to pull away, he does eventually break up with lavellan, but by then the damage is done. even the offer to remove their vallaslin is selfish in its way - he's trying to give them a piece of the truth, but instead delivers a cruelty and leaves them whether they accept or deny his offer.

but he's selfish in another important way, too: he's convinced of his own perspective. he thinks bc he literally knows more (which, yeah, tbf he does), that his pov holds more weight. he's willing to change the world bc of his guilt about it ofc, but also bc he's - selfishly, self-centered - convinced that he's RIGHT to do so. he's not traditionally selfish - in many ways he's selfless, overwhelmingly willing to sacrifice all his own chances at happiness and peace in order to restore the world - but his selfishness (which ties in with his arrogance) is shown in his self-conviction.

he makes excuses, but honestly? he could have told the inquisitor who and what he was. he could have done that! he could ask for help reconnecting the fade with the waking world. dreadwolf could be about the inquisition gathering together myriad experts and looking for ways to do it that aren't destructive. but he's so assured that his path is the right one, the only one.

and it's... a complicated selfishness, too, because part of it is that he feels like he deserves to be punished. he thinks he needs to walk this path alone not bc the inquisitor is incapable, but because 1) He Knows What's Right, and 2) He Deserves To Suffer (to alleviate his guilt about his "sins" - which is selfish in a complicated and roundabout way)

reserved: the superficial aspect of this is obvious: he's lying about his identity. but he's also reserved as part of his core character - according to him, he used to be reckless, quick to fight. I think his reserve is something he grew into, a willingness to play the long game, an understanding that information given can never be taken away. it leads to other things - a hesitance to trust, for example - but it's just a part of him now. I think even if he found someone to be 100% open with, he'd STILL be reserved by nature

arrogant: my man is an arrogant ass, no denying it. ofc he knows so much more about history than those around him, but he's also so willing to fight about it, to condescend, to trivialize. when he realizes he has a genuinely receptive audience his tone changes, so I think a lot of this stems from defensiveness and a deep familiarity with needing to justify his every expressed opinion, but... he's still an ass. his conversation with a dalish inquisitor at haven? yikes.

he's also regularly convinced that his interpretations are the correct ones. like wrt my recent post about the mages after Faded For Her, I have to assume that he thinks the inquisitor sparing them demonstrates disdain for the inherent value of spirits and their sentience, even if the real reason is a lot more complicated. he jumps to conclusions and states them like facts and it takes a lot for him to begin to deconstruct them

empathetic: this ties in with his kindness ofc, but its worth a unique mention. he is incredibly empathetic. he cares about what happens to people, to spirits, even to your enemies in a way - he talks with bull about how he doesn't like to relish his victories in combat because the people he kills could have been something else, someone else. he cares about wolves (I WONDER WHY... but also like, him being fen'harel doesn't mean he HAS to care about wolves, but he does, bc he cares about animals, too), he cares about the farmers being attacked by wolves, he cares about the refugees, he's understanding towards speaker anais and the cult that grew up around the rifts... he not only cares, he understands where people are coming from, regardless of who they are or how they behave

detached: this one lessens somewhat over the course of the game, but he's deeply, fundamentally detached to the world he woke up in and the people who inhabit it. its a little ironic when u look at his kindness and empathy, but it doesn't negate his detachment. i tend to think of him as seeing everything through a fog, feeling like he's not really there at least as much as he feels like everyone else is not really there.

not joking or exaggerating, he must have such terrible trouble with disassociation/derealization. ive seen people bring up excellent points wrt this that i dont feel a need to rehash, but suffice to say: while he still cares, everything he experiences is at a remove. this stems from shock, trauma, guilt, fear, and profound culture shock.

On the other hand, to expect realization without faith and devotion is the same as hoping that the sun will rise on a cave that faces north.

We should constantly keep in mind that Guru Rinpoché is our sole refuge, whether in happiness or in sorrow, whether in the higher realms of samsara or in the lower.

Without any second thoughts, we should give our whole mind to him, like throwing a pebble into a lake.

LiaTaro (mostly Jotaro focused) Headcanons!

I've been wanting to post some more bits of writing, more when it comes to the behavior of the poly and some personal headcanons I have.

Big thanks to my friend @magthemage for the help with these! I don't oftenly see people do it, but talking with someone who doesn't have a character (in this case Jotaro) as F/o helps a lot to brainstorm while staying away from it becoming oof XD

Anyway! Here they are! I don't think there's anything to tag as warning, just a bit of Jotaro's PTSD but nothing else, so dw!

Let's put straight a fact that, sadly, a lot of people seem to forget: Intimacy is hard. Especially with characters that were written during the 80s boom of the hypermasculinity trope.

There are three distinct characteristics associated with the hypermasculine personality: the view of violence as manly, the perception of danger as exciting and sensational, and callous behavior toward women and a regard toward emotional displays as feminine.

Something quite fitting for Kujo Jotaro. And when it came to him joining Lia and Noriaki's relationship, this was a recurring issue.

Not having a healthy model that showed him the kind of affection it was normal to share with a partner since Sadao was rarely around, his personality and factors such as his PTSD after Egypt; things had a rough start.

Yet, something that we know defines Jotaro, is how he doesn't like the idea of giving up, even when it comes to something he isn't used to.

So in order to get to a healthy and understanding point in their relationship, Lia had to spend a lot of time, effort, and probably have an ulcer removed, to try to get Jotaro to a point where he's a bit more able to express his feelings without him feeling like he has failed himself.

It's not like Jotaro doesn't feel, but rather that he can't express things normally, or it would go against his core values.

⭐One of the first things that Lia managed to establish was a different way to communicate. Because saying "I love you" just made Jotaro feel weak and vulnerable, Lia proposed an alternative: for him to squeeze her hand twice. Same meaning, but without forcing him into an uncomfortable position.

It was like Jotaro had seen the moon for the first time in years.

What started with him trying that just before sleep, and with Lia answering in kind, turned to him grabbing Lia's hand and squeezing over the smallest things. As a compliment to a thank you, as a random gesture, or just her being close.

It had been a long evening. With Noriaki being not only the last to arrive home, but also having returned absolutely exhausted; the usual chores shared by the trio were left in charge of Lia and Jotaro.

Unlike their usual routine, this time there was a heavy–although not uncomfortable– silence between the pair.

Still, as efficient as always, anything left to clean and put away in the kitchen was soon finished.

Lazily, the couple walked towards their respective bedrooms (Kujo having one of his own to avoid stepping over his boundaries and keeping the steady process of him feeling more comfortable). However, as Lia finished bidding him goodnight with a yawn, she felt herself being stopped by a bigger hand grabbing onto hers.

“Jojo?” She looked up at him, her head tilted in confusion as she noticed how he tried to avoid her gaze.

Yet, before she could call out to him again, she felt his hand gently squeezing hers twice.

Being the first time he had used this way of showing affection, she couldn't stop her mouth from opening slightly in surprise.

Barely catching sight of blush on his face due to the lack of light, her face softened.

She squeezed his hand in return with a soft smile directed to the man, finally letting go and allowing each other to retreat to their rooms for the night.

⭐While Jotaro was incapable of outwardly expressing his affection with words, Lia noticed that he normally roamed towards silent actions, kind of expecting her to understand them.

Examples of this were when she normally complained that her children were being absolute brats and making the class more difficult to handle, Jotaro would just reply "わかった" (got it) and stop communication, only for Lia to arrive home with Jotaro having actually gone out of his way to purchase food from a local mom-and-pop shop on the way home.

While he normally doesn't expect to be thanked for it, every time Lia does, he simply turns around, pulls his cap down and mutter an "...うん", busying himself with anything else available nearby just so Lia doesn't catch him making a silly smile.

⭐We know that due to his PTSD, Jotaro has a hard time sleeping almost every night. He normally tosses and turns, and sometimes hits things in his sleep, another reason he normally waits for Lia and Noriaki to be asleep for him to move to his room.

But sometimes Lia finds him sitting in the middle of the night on the balcony, cigarette in hand, trying to calm his nerves.

And being aware of his silent nature, and how easily it is for him to instantly return to his shell; she simply sits next to him, waiting for him to show any sign of him wanting a physical interaction like touching her hand or thanking her for being there.

That's when she knows she can try to physically reassure him, with little things like caressing his back, leaning against him or even let him rest his head on her thighs, something he absolutely adores doing, but is ashamed to do when Nori is awake and around... or when anyone else can see him.

And if her touch doesn't feel enough, she'll even goof around a bit, just like the few times they actually talked in the past while alone. Not as annoying as she used to be, but still enough as to get his mind distracted from whatever is troubling him those nights.

January was never an easy month.

Despite bad memories being left in the past, the seasonal drop in mood always brought back a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

A taste of bile and blood.

Being well accustomed to the weight at her sides during the night, it wasn't strange for Lia to be woken up as soon as her mind noticed the empty spot on the bed.

It was a routine event at this point. The memories of that night affected Jotaro more than often to anyone. Because, while Noriaki had also been in a pretty bad situation that almost cost his life, the difference was that the redhead actually knew how to reach out for help. And after many years of therapy, he was able to ground himself better.

For Jotaro, on the other hand, it was as if any progress he had made through the years suddenly disappeared. He hid himself away from others, resorting to smoking, although it was a habit he had been trying to quit.

And having gone through the same situation quite a couple of times before, Lia knew exactly where to find him.

Quickly going to grab some water from the kitchen, she went to the balcony, finding Kujo seated on the floor of the balcony, lazily dangling a cigarette between his fingers as his leg anxiously bounced up and down.

Frowning as her gaze landed on him, she knocked softly on the door frame, letting him know about her arrival without startling him.

With the dim light that the moon provided him, she barely caught a glimpse of him looking at her by the corner of his eye. This, accompanied by the motion of his leg stopping, was enough to let her know that he was aware of her presence at his side.

In slow movements, she sat down at his side, leaving enough space between their bodies to avoid touching him before he felt comfortable and calm enough. She placed the glass in the space between them, a small smile forming on her lips as she saw him take it, slowly taking a sip from it before placing it back down.

The pair spent a few minutes in silence, bashing in the soft sounds of the night. Yet, Lia couldn’t help but to scrunch her nose as the smoke from his cigarette reached her and tickled her throat, threatening to make her cough.

Noticing this, the raven frowned, letting out a tired sigh as he put out the lit cigarette.

“You didn’t have to do that, y’know?” Lia frowned at him, removing a hand that she unconsciously had moved to cover her nose and mouth.

“You don’t like it”

She let out a sigh, hugging her legs against her chest and resting her head on her knees before directing her gaze towards him.

“It’s true that I don’t like it… and that I wish you used a healthier alternative to calm down. But I can’t force you to stop doing it.”

Jotaro raised a brow at her, incredulous of what she had said after she spent so many times reprimanding him for the smell of tobacco and the smoke.

“You still bitch about it” He said, his tone having a hint of playfulness rather than annoyance.

“It's not bitching, it's giving you advice!” she frowned as she heard him scoff lightly. “I mean it!”

She turned in place, her body fully facing him as she sat cross legged at his side.

“It's as if one day I arrived and told you and Nori that I'm gonna drop everything to become, I don't know… an idol. You cannot forbid me from doing it, but you can give me advice about how bad of an idea that is.”

He looked at Lia for a few seconds, his brow still raised as he processed her words, before letting out a sigh as he crossed his arms, looking back to the city.

“Yeah, because you suck at singing”

Lia could only frown at his words, a small pout forming on her lips as she glared at him.

“I'm going to take that as you understanding my point rather than trying to attack me”

She turned back to her original sitting position, lightly and playfully bumping into him as she leaned against his arm.

Still, a small smile formed on her lips as she heard the faintest chuckle coming from him, noticing how he seemed more relaxed than when she arrived.

She looked up at him for a moment, making Jotaro look down at her as he felt Lia's gaze on him, a questioning look on his face.

“We’re not going anywhere, and you're not going to end up alone. Please keep that in mind.”

Just as Lia finished speaking, she noticed a glimpse of something in his eyes. A mix of surprise and something else…

Yet, before she could even mention it, her sight went black, and soon enough she noticed his cap somehow on her head, blocking her view.

“When did you even-?”

“Shut up”

Ah, that tone. For someone random, it would sound like the same monotonous tone he always had, but she could easily distinguish the light embarrassment it hid under.

She couldn't help but to chuckle, shaking her head in amusement as she leaned further into him, deciding to give him some peace of mind and keep quiet, at least for that night.

She would make sure of teasing him enough once the next day arrived, though.

Do u think peter blames himself for what happened to felicia?

Oh definitely, I feel like "blames himself for what happened" is a classic Peter trait across any universe that's worth keeping tracking of. The fact that he couldn't have known that his actions would inadvertently lead to her being attacked doesn't mean that he isn't going to feel that he's responsible for having put her in that danger and failed to protect her. It's consistent with his core characteristics and it's an element of the dynamic between Felicia and Peter post-Eyes Without A Face that I'm particularly interested in exploring in my artwork of them.

More broadly on the topic of blaming himself, we see interesting differences in where his sense of guilt originates and how it plays out in Noir compared to 616. After all, in Noir his uncle is killed prior to the main plot under circumstances that were absolutely not related to Peter's actions, and so a lifelong sense of guilt isn't part of his reaction to that specific event like it is in 616 (I would say that Felicia and Robbie's injuries in Eyes Without a Face fill this role instead). Noir's version of the classic "with great power comes great responsibility" line therefore isn't a lesson learned from how Peter's failure to act led to his uncle's death; in this universe, the line goes "if those in power can't be trusted, it's the responsibility of the people to remove them" and it's something that he was told by his uncle that's specifically linked to communist/socialist organizing and the violence of the first world war. Pretty different! And those differences manifest in interesting ways regarding Noir!Peter's methods and motivations, which is a big part of why I like this particular universe so much.

I have been criticised a lot for my stance because it creates conflict and many people just dislike conflict in general, which I understand. I just avoid trans spaces online and irl these cause they are predominantly filled with trenders and “non binary”. I prefer LGBT mixed spaces cause atleast those are not just a group made up of women who ID as non binary. Non binary in my experience and research is really just radical feminism lite, it reminds me of “political lesbians” who were straight femcels out of choice. All core beliefs of non binary activism heavily align with radical feminist theory more than it does with anything about trans rights. Contrary to popular belief, many radical feminists believe that medical transition is fine aslong as you retain that you’re a masculinised female or feminised male and don’t assert you are changing your sex or try to be in any of your group’s gendered spaces. Though, this treatment is mainly only directed at trans women - they rarely care about trans men sharing spaces with cis men cause they see it as “rebellious against the evil patriarchy” and benefiting.

This is why most “detrans” TERFs you find will have identified as non binary but then switched, usually after trying testosterone and ACTUALLY getting dysphoria. If you go to non binary subreddits, there’s countless posts about being scared to start T cause “I don’t want *insert literal male sexual characteristic*” or even worse “I don’t want to be perceived as a cis male”. The comments are filled with encouragement to start T anyway, saying you can microdose to control effects (a lie, it just makes it slower), suggesting taking certain hormone blockers to literally block male sexual characteristics but get very minimal ones that could be achieved through diet, exercise and voice training. Or worse, suggestions that laser hair removal isn’t even hard or expensive, it’ll work blah blah.

These retards then go on T, get side effects that cause actual dysphoria and then go full blown radical feminist.

At this point? I think anyone who identifies as non binary should be banned from transitioning medically. I don’t think you should qualify for a gender dysphoria diagnosis unless you want to be the opposite sex; not some magical androgynous being to get out of misogyny in society.

Though I do keep my beliefs to myself in many situations to avoid conflict but I also play heavily on my autism as an excuse for things, if the government and society wanna deem me as retarded then I’ll play into it. So, no I struggle with singular they cause I’m autistic. Honestly, I actually do struggle with singular they especially if they look entirely as their birth sex. I just don’t bother putting in effort cause I don’t care about how they feel. The worst woman I ever encountered who got mad at me for this was self diagnosed autistic, had a fucking child and was raising him “as non binary” so she got mad if you used he/him. I’m all for not raising kids with no gender roles or stereotypes but doing that is gonna fuck up the kid.

I also know a woman who started T cause she thinks she’s non binary and immediately stopped cause of body hair growing. Now she complains about her slightly deeper voice and says she wants to get pregnant again but worries that T hurt her. Oh she still retains she’s non binary tho, just that she likes living as a female “cause its way more comfortable” - yeah cause you’re a cis woman!

Anyway sorry for the rant, I’m glad that my opinions aren’t all seen as me being uwu disrespectful and mean cause my intent isn’t to be “mean” it’s to use critical thinking.
