couples fight, right?
that’s how they show they care, right?
that’s what you were always taught when talking about relationships.
you and tara had started off as friends with benefits. you met early in freshman year and the attraction was instant.
when you started to meet her friends, you quickly learned about their experience in woodsboro. you had known about the notorious killer but you never thought you would find yourself amongst the people associated with the incident.
as time went on, you decided to shoot your shot with her. your feelings became deeper than the desire to satisfy each other in bed.
you asked her out on a proper date after chasing her halfway across campus. you were sweaty and panting but when she delivered a kiss to her cheek with a "yes, i would love to", you knew it was worth it.
after a few dates, you learned that tara had a fear of getting close to people. she told you about amber and how she'd developed issues with commitment after that disastrous relationship.
so when you and tara started fighting at a higher frequency, you thought it was just because you didn’t want to lose each other.
you chalked it up to the perpetual state of stress she was in due to her sister being overprotective and not letting her go out as often as she used to.
then you started noticing the cracks in your theory when tara started fighting with you over the smallest thing. your jacket didn’t match her skirt, you chewed a little too loud, you handed her the wrong coffee order.
you did your best to calm the girl when she was in her angered state, your efforts proved to be futile when she would just kick you out of her room and you’d have to do the walk of shame out of her apartment.
only to make things worse, you usually bumped into sam on the way out. you knew your girlfriend’s older sister was overprotective of her and you were worried about what she thought of you.
sam often watched you leave from the kitchen, shooting you a look that you couldn’t decipher.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
"there's a party tonight for halloween, we should all go." mindy proposed to the group. it was a frat party, and you hated frat parties.
"we should!" your girlfriend, tara, exclaimed.
"is sam even going to let you out of the house?" chad asked, chuckling softly at tara's excitement.
"uhh... that's an issue for later." she said, looking away. you saw the gears turning in her head.
"you're not gonna tell her, are you?" you asked her, you knew her all too well. she turned to you with a small glare on her face.
"and what of it?" she said, snapping a bit. you seem to have taken her out of deep thought. you should have known that would be her response.
whenever a sore subject would come up, you tried not to bother her too much about it. you should have held your tongue, knowing you were talking about one of the sorest subjects— her sister. you frowned at her.
"i was just trying to tease, tara." you clarified. "it's okay, i won't judge you for it. i know sam's been overprotective recently."
tara seemed to back down from her anger when you said that. she just turned back to her phone as you turned back to your uneaten lunch.
you agreed to the party under the impression that it might be good for you and tara. it might be nice for her to get out of the house for once and spend time just being a young adult.
"i'll go as a cowboy." chad chimed into the conversation again. you had no idea what you were going to put together at the last minute.
"i'll throw together a pirate outfit." tara shrugged her shoulders, thinking back to her own closet.
"maybe i could be the parrot on your shoulder." you joked at her, she rolled her eyes at you with a small smile on her face.
"please don't." she laughed softly. you loved her laugh so much, and you loved being the reason for it. you’ve grown to cherish those little slivers of happiness between the two of you.
“okay.” you retreated your statement. “i’ll go as an angel.” you grinned. you had a dress waiting for you back home and some spare angel wings you used for a previous costume party.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
you were on your third drink of the night and had your arms around chad and ethan, singing the lyrics to sweet caroline. you three were swaying together on the dance floor.
mindy and anika looked over you three and rolled their eyes. it’s like they were meant to be.
you realised that your girlfriend was nowhere to be seen, that was concerning. she’d usually be joining you three in your antics.
you turned around to see her at the drinks table, talking to a taller man in a white shirt. you recognized him from somewhere but you weren’t entirely sure.
you opted to trust tara instead of the sinking gut feeling you had. she tended to get angry at you when you acted impulsively, you wanted to avoid that tonight.
you stepped away from the boys and made your way over to mindy and anika. you put your arm around mindy, you both had a great relationship— it was like you were her non-sibling twin flame.
"hey spoilsport. you suggested coming! why are you hiding all the way out here?" you asked her, leaning your head on her shoulder. you spotted a smile creep up her cheeks.
"because someone has to make sure all of you get home safe and sound." she poked your nose and you pulled your head back reflexively.
"that shouldn't stop you from having some fun with us too." you prodded more, trying to get her to loosen up.
however, mindy's point proved itself when you heard commotion come from the stairway. you turned your heads to see chad and tara along with the man in the white shirt by the staircase.
"holy fuck, is that frankie?" mindy asked.
it was like a jolt had electrified your entire body.
frankie.
you should have listened to that gut feeling. it got worse as you spotted tara by his side, his hand wrapped around her wrist.
you felt a fire rage in your belly and an overwhelming concern for tara. you made your way over only to already hear chad telling him off.
"what's going on?" you asked as you approached, standing shoulder to shoulder with chad.
“none of your business.” tara spat out at you, you looked at her with worried eyes. you never provoked her when she was like this but you realised the gut feeling not only applied to frankie but also tara.
“chad.” you called the boy’s name out, indicating that you wanted an explanation.
“frankie was trying to take tara upstairs for god knows what.” chad glared at the man a couple of steps above him.
your jaw clenched and fury filled your pupils.
“she wanted it, dude.” frankie shot back, “she asked me to.”
you looked over at tara only to see that she wasn’t looking at you, she was looking down at the accumulating crowd.
“tara, surely not.” you said, almost pleading. it was a contrast to your angry stare.
she didn’t respond.
she didn’t say a word.
“bro, shut up. she’s drunk and she isn’t thinking straight.” chad fought back at frankie. you snapped out of your thoughts and looked over at the two men.
“he’s right. she isn’t capable of making decisions. you have no right.” you said.
“whatever.” frankie rolled his eyes and pulled tara up the stairs, causing the shorter girl to tumble.
chad snapped and grabbed frankie by the shirt, throwing him down the stairs. you immediately went to check on tara.
“hey, love. let’s get you up. are you okay?” you asked her but you were simply met with silence and her trying to yank her arm away from your touch. she helped herself up but not without struggling.
you watched the altercation between chad and frankie go down, the two boys shoving each other back and forth.
you looked over at tara. you had almost forgotten the look on her face when you asked her if she was really wanting to go upstairs with frankie. she was inebriated, she wasn’t thinking clearly. she didn’t mean it— you could tell yourself that all you want but tara was never one to hide her emotions— especially if it was annoyance.
your thoughts were cut short when you saw sam carpenter walk straight in to the party.
fuck.
you couldn’t zone in enough to hear their conversation from the stairs, but your eyes did enough when they saw sam tase frankie’s balls.
you almost laughed at the sight of the man falling to the floor, but you knew you had to do something.
you stepped in suddenly, holding the older carpenter’s shoulders.
“let’s go. we don’t need any more trouble.” you thought you would be met with a scolding but sam simply nodded at you. she walked over to tara and helped her down the stairs, practically dragging her out of the party.
“sam, let me go!” your girlfriend protested. you followed behind the sisters along with chad, ethan, anika, and mindy.
tara managed to break herself free from sam’s grasp when you were all outside on the street. you stopped in your tracks and it landed you beside sam.
“tara, really?!” sam yelled at her sister, “sneaking out?! i had to find out from quinn that you were here. what if something happened to you?!”
“nothing was gonna happen, sam!” tara rubbed the inner corners of her eyes, trying to wrap her head around the situation.
“really?! cause i don’t think that guy was gonna let you go easy!” sam gestured back to the house. “and what were you thinking?! you have a girlfriend.”
“oh please, she won’t care.” tara scoffed. you were standing right there, but it was like she looked straight through you. how could she say that about you?
“right.” sam stopped her before she could say anything else. “i’m taking you home.” she said. she turned around to you, making eye contact. your breath hitched in your throat. “and you too. c’mon.”
you had to oblige, you weren’t going to fight against an angry sam.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
the car ride was more eerie than silent.
despite the looming quiet, you looked over at tara in the rearview. she was staring outside the window in the backseat while you sat in the front. sam had forced her into the back, saying she didn’t wanna get thrown up on.
you looked over at sam, her eyebrows furrowed as she drove you both back. you wondered what was happening in that head of hers. she had been through a lot too. her protective nature was a product of everything that had happened in woodsboro, you found your concern growing for her too.
you helped tara up to the apartment with sam. at one point, you gave up and decided to princess carry her. she protested at first but realised she had no other choice.
you put tara down on her bed, taking off the bandana that covered her hair. you went into her closet to grab some clothes for her, kneeling down about to help her.
she suddenly turned away from you.
“tara, please. let’s not fight.” you pleaded with her, wanting to get her comfortable more than anything.
“fighting is the only reason i stay with you.” she mumbled.
“what?” you looked up at her from your kneeling position, trying to help her take her shoes off.
“you’re so nice all the time.” she glares at you. “you’re too different from her.”
oh, her. you knew.
“but i like controlling you. it’s almost too easy.” she had a venom-laced tongue tonight, the alcohol allowing the toxin to seep through your skin. “but i feel absolutely nothing for you.”
you finally knew the reason for your fighting.
“i almost even hate you sometimes though.” she admitted. “i only said yes to going out with you cause we were in public. if it was anywhere else, i would have rejected you.”
you were silent, you were stunned.
“i’m too young to settle down too, y’know?” she followed up, it was never-ending. “nothing was gonna happen with frankie. i knew better— he’s disgusting. but you had to end the fun when i was finally allowing myself to realise i had other options.” she scoffed.
her words didn’t make sense to you. she wouldn’t do that, she couldn’t do that. surely she had some heart in her.
you felt disgusted with yourself. you stepped back and had to hold back from saying anything. it was late, they had another roommate who was asleep and sam was waiting for you in the living room to take you home.
when you stepped back, tara rolled into bed, pulling the covers to her chin. you stared at her, tears forming in your eyes from what she said.
you were being used.
and she played you like a fiddle.
you were dressed as an angel, which was ironic.
because tara would rather have the devil.
you had tried to be the best possible person for her. you took everything she’s been to into consideration, always looking after her. but you realised she didn’t want that, she wanted someone else.
you covered your mouth to stiffle sobs that threatened to escape your lips.
you walked out of her room only to nearly come crashing into sam, who was leaning on the wall by the doorway the whole time.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
sam had previously been in the kitchen, preparing a glass of water for tara. she realised you were taking a bit longer than she expected, she figured you fell asleep next to tara.
she knew the nature of your relationship with tara. she had to listen to tara’s entire thought process of saying yes to you asking her out. she even discouraged tara, letting her know that it wasn’t fair to you.
but tara always had a mind of her own.
when she heard soft voices, she decided to come and check on the two of you. she stopped walking and listened in when she heard what you were talking about.
oh, she felt sick.
she felt sick hearing her younger sister say those words to you. she always cherished tara. she missed her sister that wasn’t capable of hurting a fly but quickly let those thoughts go when she acknowledged that the girl that she cared for was gone.
she leaned against the wall and heard your footsteps quickly approach. she didn’t expect you to almost crash into her, her hands flew to your waist, stabilising you.
she hadn’t gotten a good look at you earlier, you were dressed as an angel. a part of her almost smiled at how pretty you looked. sam always thought you were pretty, her eyes weren’t painted on.
“hey…” she said, watching you wipe your tears away. “here, take this.” the water meant for tara quickly changed ownership.
you declined the water, shaking your head and waving it away.
“please. you’ve been crying.” you hated that sam carpenter caught you in this state. you hoped to compose yourself before seeing her again.
“sam, it’s fine. let’s just go, please.” you brushed past her, she quickly turned and followed you out. she grabbed her jacket and her keys before following you downstairs.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
“you didn’t deserve that.” sam broke the silence. you slowly turned to her and just stared, you were still trying to find the words.
“sam…” you started.
“no. it doesn’t matter.” she interjected. “i’m sorry about tara.”
“it’s fine. i can handle it. she's right anyway."
“it’s not. and she isn't."
you felt yourself crawl back into your shell. the order in sam’s voice, like she was a general, made you feel like you couldn’t say a word.
“you deserve better than her." she suddenly turned to look at you, her glare wasn't like tara's though. hers was more angry at you for saying those things about yourself.
"she's just stressed." you try to justify tara's actions. you still harboured feelings for the girl. it was going to be hard to see it any other way.
"don't try and do that." sam shook her head, pulling up outside your apartment. "you're a grown ass woman, you know better than to try and justify someone hurting you."
you'd never seen that side to sam before. she was always tara's timid older sister, a strong but silent type. you didn't expect to hear her suddenly standing up for you.
"i just need a night, sam." you didn't want to talk about it anymore, it was all too much for you.
"get some rest." she nodded at you while you pulled at the door handle, unlocking it and hopping out. you leaned down and poked your head back into the car.
"thank you for the ride home. i appreciate it. i'll see you soon."
sam nodded at you. "goodnight."
"goodnight, sam."
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
tara thought her eyes were burning in the sunlight. she felt herself wither away as she was hit with a pounding headache.
her throat was dry but as she blinked away the exhaustion, she realised there was a glass of water by her bedside. she practically leapt for it, chugging it all in one go.
she was still in her clothes from last night. she got up to change into something more comfortable and take her make-up off. it was the weekend so she had nowhere to be, deciding to dedicate the free day to recovering from her wicked hangover.
she walked out of her room to see sam making breakfast. she could literally eat anything right now.
sam looked just as exhausted as her.
memories started flooding in from last night, the fight that ensued coming back to her
"jesus sam, no way you actually used a taser on someone last night." tara grumbled as she took her seat on the dining table.
"i absolutely did. and i'm not regretting it." sam retaliated, setting a plate down in front of tara. "eat up. you're gonna need the energy for today."
"why? what's today?" tara asked, already wolfing down the food in front of her.
"do you really not remember anything from last night?" sam asked her, sitting down beside her with her own plate of food.
tara shook her head which led to sam explaining what you two talked about that night.
tara was horrified. she felt so guilty. sure, she knew she didn't lie completely, but she knew you didn't need to hear that.
and it was too late to take it back now.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
five knocks woke you from your own slumber.
you groaned and pushed yourself off the mattress, glitter still coating your eyes from your costume last night. you immediately rolled into bed after changing last night.
you threw the door open, a frustrated look on your face.
tara.
oh, and sam around the corner.
sam shot you a sheepish wave, you waved back at her. you knew the only reason that tara was here was because sam brought her. while you appreciated the gesture, you knew there was only one way this was ending.
"you shouldn't have kept this going for as long as it did!"
you yelled at tara. you two had been going at it for ten minutes now, you were sure the entire apartment complex could hear the two of you. and you knew they could hear your heart breaking.
"what the fuck was i supposed to do?!" tara exclaimed back. "walk up to you and oh hey, i don't actually have any feelings for you?!"
"yes! exactly that." you shot back, scoffing and crossing your arms across your chest. "you should have been honest with me, tara."
"i couldn't. you... you were good for me." tara whispered, her anger subsiding. "you were kind and just what i needed after everything that happened. i thought that maybe i could grow to have feelings for you."
"you shouldn't have taken that chance. you basically lied to me for months." your posture straightened, your jaw tightening. "it wasn't fair."
"i know... i know..." tara said, trying to calm you a bit more. "i'm sorry."
"you know that sorry isn't gonna cut it, right tara?" you huffed, shaking your head at her. "we're done."
she stared at you for a beat, she didn't believe that you ended it. you were so quiet all the time, always kind and happy. you never took the initiative, she thought she would have to do it. to say you surprised her was an understatement.
"i understand." she nodded. "i'll go."
"yeah... you'd better." you weren't going to stop her, she was the last person you wanted to see.
you opened the door for her and saw sam avoiding your eyes around the corner.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
three weeks later, you hadn't seen much of your friends. you decided to be the one to keep your distance, you hadn't even seen mindy all that much.
it wasn't until you heard your phone buzz on a random friday morning that you realised that you were missing your dear friends.
"come over tonight, we're watching a movie." a text from mindy.
"we're?" you responded. you knew that mindy would pick up on what you were putting down.
"yes. tara will be there. but we haven't seen you in ages. i'll put you on seperate ends of the room." she typed quickly.
"okay. what time?" you missed your friends more than anything, it was worth seeing tara if it meant you got to see everyone else too.
"4 plus 3." mindy replied, you chucked your phone to the side and sighed. you had to spend the rest of the day psyching yourself up to face everyone again.
𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩 𓆪𓆩
you arrived at the twin's place at exactly seven sharp.
you walked in and saw that everyone else was already there, surrounding the television.
"bystanders reported seeing the killer with a black cloak and sporting the infamous ghostface mask."
oh no. oh no no no.
you knew all the stories, you'd seen what the killer had done to the carpenters and the twins. and you couldn't believe that he was back.
silence coated the walls of the room, everyone was too shocked to say anything.
tara ran out of the room into another area of the apartment, mindy and chad following behind her. sam walked out the door. you wanted to go after tara, but you thought you might make things worse in that sector. she already had the twins following her, and sam had nobody.
you trailed behind sam. she ran down the stairs, sitting down on the end step, her head falling into her hands. you slowly approached, sitting down on the end step beside her.
"i'm so sorry." you whispered, looking straight ahead.
"its never gonna fucking end." sam sobbed out, her fingers tangling into her hair.
you sat in silence, your palms flat on your lap. you didn't know if you should do anything or say anything.
"there's nothing i can say or do to make this better... but i hope you know, there's more of us now. no way in hell are we leaving you alone in all of this." you said, determined. "you aren't going to go through this alone, sam."
sam peeked her head out. your words were something she had heard before, but coming from you, she felt different about them. she knew you didn't know how to reassure her, you hadn't been through the same thing. you two only knew each other in passing, but she appreciated it.
she turned to you, and you turned to her.
this was the closest you two had been ever.
had she always been this beautiful?
had you?
you shook your head to shake away your thoughts, now was not the time. you could tell she was also trying to push her own thoughts away.
"thank you, i appreciate that." she whispered, a small but genuine smile flashed at you.
"do you want to sit here for a bit longer?" you asked her.
sam begun to think that tara was right. you were incredibly kind and considerate, you could read people like they were an open book. she nodded at you and you nodded back at her.
you two proceeded to sit in a comfortable silence.
you could hear thumping above you, knowing that the twin's apartment was active with stress and fear.
but you couldn't move. you had to be there for sam.
and you meant what you said.
no matter what, you weren't leaving.

author's journal i actually am also unsure about this set up for the series. i hope my writing gets better as it goes on but the set up was a bit rough to write and even read. but i promise better content soon y’all 😫 i also would have written a longer drunken argument scene between tara & reader but i needed some sam emphasis, this might get edited in the future
on another note, okay yeah i have so much love for the carpenter sisters actually. this idea came to be out of nowhere when i was watching scream vi to fall asleep and i immediately told emma about it so everyone say ty emma ilysm liefje. she's had to deal with all my bullshit recently so this entire series is dedicated to her <3
another thing is heaps and heaps of credits to @shdysders one of my current favorite writers because the drunken argument scene is hella similar to theirs from one of their fics, if only (which you all should read btw.) thank you babes.
andddd let me know if you wanna get added to the taglist for this fic also and i’ll be more than happy to oblige <3

cumbo. ough. they make me violent. idiots. I think one of them could be flirting in the most obnoxious entirely obvious way and the other would be sooo oblivious. Either of them could fill that role. Maybe they’re both doing it. They’re stupid. witness geminitay is in fucking shambles she hates them (she knows because grian was witnessing it first and he couldn’t do it alone he had to drag someone else into it) scar (violently aromantic but doesn’t know) thinks both cub and mumbo are being normal and he doesn’t understand why gem and grian are so dramatic. they r literally just awkward grian… you literally told me last week you wanted to elope that’s just what friends do. gem proceeds to beat grian to death with a shovel for not inviting her to the wedding. this is not a 200 word prompt sorry I’m a yapper. only important bit is the cumbo the rest is implied.
YES. yes. you get it. you Get It. they're both so fucking weird and Not Normal About Anything in the best possible way. i feel like they make each other SO much worse. you think you've seen cubfan135 be Weird? watch as i introduce the world's most wet cat of a man to the scene. it's autism x autism but like, slightly different flavors so it could either go so horribly wrong or they could end up making out sloppy style and i have personally decided that it's the latter. but yes i too love the highkey flirter x oblivious dumbass trope. big fan of the idea of cub trying to hit on mumbo SOOOOOO hard (in his own weird-ass way) and mumbo being truly so fucking unaware. like, painful levels of unawareness. everyone around him is .2 seconds away from strangling him at any given moment. gem and grian have already planted 37 tnt minecarts underneath his base for when they inevitably can't take it anymore and need to blow something up but luckily cub gives up and just straight up asks him if he wants to make out before they can pull the trigger anyway. please come yap in my asks (or dms) anytime you'd like. i too am a yapper and will talk your ear off about cumbo (or anything, honestly) for 7-9 business years

Chapter 5. - Twister
All twisted up ft. Fernando being a menace
Author's note: This one is even worse, I promise I'll go touch grass. 18+ DNI Otherwise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soon, everyone had taken their turn spinning the bottle, and Logan found himself sitting next to Max as the group shuffled around. When the bottle lands on Logan, spun by Charles, he quickly blurts out, “Truth!” before Charles can even finish asking.
Charles grins widely, making Logan regret his choice. “Perfect! Now, what were you and Max doing on the boat before you suddenly went for a swim? No lies, cheri .”
Logan glances at Max, who just pulls him a little closer by the waist. “N-nothing! He was just putting sunscreen on me, right Max?” Logan shoots Max a pleading look.
Max nods, “Yeah, just making sure he didn’t get a sunburn.”
Charles raises an eyebrow. “Sunscreen? Is that what we’re calling it now? And did he rub this sunscreen on you?” he adds with a wink.
Even though Charles is close to the mark, Logan insists for his own sake of mind, “It’s the truth!”
“Alright, alright, I get it— lingo,” Charles teases, winking again as a few people chuckle.
As the laughter dies down from Logan’s truth, the bottle spun again, it lands on Carlos. On his fourth turn now, he confidently picks a dare from Fernando, whose scheming smile makes Charles’s earlier grin look modest by comparison.
Fernando strokes his chin playfully, pretending to think, his eyes glinting with mischief as he announces, “Kiss the person on your right, but you have to kiss longer than that little display from Alex and Oscar.”
Looking at Charles, Fernando asks, “How long was theirs?” Charles glances at Fernando, understanding the ploy. “Bouff, I think it was more than a minute, no? Tough competition, Carlito.”
Charles and Fernando exchange twin shark smiles as they look at their friend. Waiting to see what he’ll do.
Carlos nods seriously and points at them. “Fine, time it then, Charles, 90 seconds.” He then turns to his right to look at George, whose eyes widen slightly, showing either his surprise at Carlos’s acceptance or his own excitement.
Logan glances at his two best friends and notices how tense they are—Oscar alert on Alex’s lap, and Alex sitting straight-backed and focused.
Carlos moves closer to George, cupping his cheek and softly asking, “Okay?” George gives a jerky nod in response. “Words, Princesa ,” Carlos gently reminds him, his thumb stroking George’s cheek while his fingers spread around his neck. “Ye-yes,” George stammers. Grinning, Carlos leans in.
Carlos’s large, tan hand against George’s pale face is already a striking image, but when their faces meet and a flush blooms across George’s cheeks, it's even hotter.
Closing the distance, his lips meet George’s with a heat that’s both unexpected and overwhelming. One hand grips the back of George’s neck, while the other slides to his waist, pulling him closer on the floor, their knees bumping as Carlos deepens the kiss.
George’s breath stutters, his half-unbuttoned shirt falling open as Carlos tugs him in, pressing their bodies together. Carlos kisses him with an intense, devouring hunger, his lips firm and unrelenting. George’s hands instinctively clutch at Carlos’s arms for balance, overwhelmed by the intensity. Carlos’s tongue slips into his mouth, exploring, claiming, leaving George gasping and flushed. A soft whimper escapes him only to be instantly swallowed by Carlos, whose grip tightens as he pulls George closer by his waist, their hips brushing.
The heat from George’s face spreads down his neck and onto his exposed chest, the flush deepening with each passing second. Carlos’s hand, firm on his waist, holds him close, making George arch against him, helpless under the raw force of Carlos’s kiss. The closeness, the pressure of Carlos’s hand on his bare skin, sends a shock of heat through him.
Charles’ watch begins to trill, signalling their ninety seconds are up.
Carlos finally pulls back, leaving both of them panting, their lips swollen and red. George’s chest heaves, his skin flushed, eyes dazed with building arousal. Carlos hovers close, his nose brushing George’s cheek as his thumb strokes just beneath the hem of George’s open shirt.
With a wolfish grin, Carlos asks, “I think we won, no?” His voice low and husky, betraying his own arousal.
Fernando, hands raised in mock surrender, fixes his expression into his signature no idea look, then quickly points toward Oscar, who’s nearly toppling forward from his perch as he unconsciously leaned in closer while Carlos and George kissed. “There’s your answer then, sobrino ,” Fernando quips, sparking laughter from the group.
Carlos and George, still catching their breath, shift their focus toward Oscar and Alex, their stares pointed and heated.
“Okay, seriously, what is going on?” Daniel says incredulously. “Have I just been oblivious, or is this the night everyone explores their sexual tension? Because there will be no orgies in this lake house—my nonna comes here! She even likes it here!” He surveys his friends with shocked eyes and hands on his hips. “And you two—stop it with the dares!” He points at Charles and Fernando, who look like two kids caught with their hands in the candy jar.
“We said kiss! For 60 seconds and longer, right? Fernando, didn’t we? We never said dare you to eat each other! That was their heart's desire. We would have settled for a simple press of lips.” Charles argues, despite the guilty look on his face.
“Game’s over, you horn dogs! And no Twister either! I don’t trust you,” Danny announces, standing up and wagging a finger at the group. “Drink, dance, but no more defiling this living room with your saliva. My grandmother’s old-school Italian—she has a sixth sense for where people have tried to make babies. Trust me, I know. She never stepped foot in my car in high school without laying down a tissue first.”
Chuckling, Max leans into Logan and adds, “His Nonna would always pray whenever she got in the car too.”
“No way! Was it really that bad, or was it... a sex car ?” Logan asks, raising an eyebrow.
Max smirks. “Let’s just say he and his sister had to share a room until university.”
“Oh. Gross,” Logan grimaces.
Max grins and stands, offering his hand to Logan. “Come on, Angel, let’s go find something else to do that isn’t Twister.”
—----------
As the party winds down and more people start to drift away, Danny, his girlfriend, and surprisingly Fernando help usher everyone to their rooms or any available spots to sleep.
Max leads Logan to a room, explaining it’s his when he stays at the house. A flutter of excitement stirs in Logan at the thought of spending the night beside him. But as they brush their teeth together, Logan can’t fight the heaviness weighing down his eyelids. He manages just enough energy to slip out of his jeans and slide under the covers. Max follows, slipping an arm around Logan’s waist, and with a contented sigh, Logan's eyes flutter closed, drifting off with Max's warmth pressed against him.
—----------
When Logan’s eyes flutter open, Max is still behind him, holding him close, his head resting against the back of Logan’s neck. As Logan tries to shift away, careful not to wake him, Max's arms tighten around him, a muffled “Angel?” murmured against his neck.
Logan pauses, his heart skipping at the sleepy endearment. He settles back into Max’s chest as Max hums in response, his grip loosening but still holding on. Pressing a kiss to Logan’s neck, Max rolls onto his back, pulling Logan on top of him.
Max looks down at Logan with soft, sleep-filled eyes, his lips puffy and hair mussed. One hand reaches up to smooth Logan’s hair. “You look like a little chick, Angel, all fuzzy with your golden hair,” Max chuckles at his own observation. Logan just hides his smile against Max’s chest, the cool metal of his cross necklace brushing against his warming cheeks.
He lifts his head to meet Max’s gaze. “Not talkative in the mornings, are you, Angel?”
Logan, soft from sleep, shakes his head gently, a small smile playing on his lips as Max’s fingers continue to stroke through his hair, their eyes locked in a quiet moment. A question, in Max’s eyes. Then, with a gentle pull, Max brings Logan’s face closer, brushing their lips together in a soft, tentative kiss. Their first.
Logan melts into the kiss, eagerly pressing back against Max. Max’s hand slides to the nape of Logan’s neck, deepening the kiss as their mouths move slowly, savouring the connection. Logan shifts, pressing more fully against Max’s chest, his legs wrapping around Max’s thigh, pulling himself closer.
Logan feels a rush of need as he rolls his hips against Max. Max reacts instantly, fingers tangling in Logan's hair, tilting his head back to kiss him deeper. Their breaths grow heavier, punctuated by Logan’s soft gasps as Max's other hand slips under his shirt, warm palm gliding over the smooth skin of his lower back.
With a teasing touch, Max's fingers press lower, sending shivers through Logan. He arches into him, craving more as their bodies move together, each subtle shift igniting sparks of pleasure. Breaking apart, he whimpers into Max’s mouth, “Please, Maxie, need more,” his voice a soft plea, wide eyes filled with desire.
Max’s grip tightens as he shifts both hands to palm Logan’s ass, guiding his rolling hips against him. Logan whines softly, tugging at his shirt, desperate to shed the barrier between them. “Off, please,” he breathes, voice shaky. Max responds instantly, pulling the fabric over Logan's head and tossing it aside, exposing his skin to the warm air. The sensation of Max’s body against him intensifies. Logan’s heart races as Max’s hands explore his bare back, sending shivers down his spine.
His world fades, leaving only the intoxicating presence of Max. All he can think, breathe, and feel is Max. Max pulls him up higher on his thigh, hands gliding up Logan’s body, brushing over his nipples.
Logan whines, throwing his head back, pushing his chest against Max’s hands. He feels frenzied with desire. There’s a noticeable wetness where his cock head rests in his briefs, steadily leaking. Logan grinds against Max, desperate for more. “Please, Maxie…” he gasps, lost in overwhelming sensations. He’s babbling now, pleading, “Need–,” chanting “more, more, more” between kisses.
Max suddenly flips him onto his back, his legs falling open at the change in position. Crying out at the contact as Max slots his thick, muscular thigh between Logan’s legs, pressing it against him.
Max leans down, mouth brushing against Logan’s, their breaths mingling as he whispers, “Still need more, Angel?” Logan nods, eyes filled with need. The friction of Max’s thigh sending delicious shivers down his spine.
Keening at the sensation, Logan arches his back, craving more as he grips Max’s shoulders, pulling him closer. Max’s mouth moves to Logan’s nipple, wrapping around it, sending shockwaves of pleasure through him. Clutching Max’s head, he tries to keep him against his chest. While Max’s hands guide him against his thigh, hands obscene where they wrap around his hips. The pressure builds inside Logan, pushing him closer to the edge as he writhes in need.
With a loud keen, Logan arches his head back, overwhelmed. “Ma-Maxie, kiss me,” he demands, and Max eagerly complies, capturing Logan’s lips, deep and devouring.
Pulling back slightly, Max’s breath is warm against Logan’s skin. “You’re such a good boy for me,” he whispers, a teasing smile on his lips. The words thrill Logan, making him crave more. “For you, only you,” Logan garbles, pressing his hips down against Max’s thigh, desperate for friction.
“Yeah? You’re my baby boy,” Max replies, voice low as he leans back in, kissing Logan deeply again. Each touch ignites a fire within Logan, pushing him closer to the edge. “Just keep moving for me, Angel,” Max encourages, guiding Logan’s movements as he grinds against him.
Logan's body instinctively chases the pleasure. Each thrust against Max’s thigh drives him wild, craving more, wanting to drown in everything Max gives him.
But Logan feels crazed at the torturously slow pace Max has set. Clutching at Max’s arm, he feels deliriously aroused. “Please, Maxie, ju-just touch me. I’ll be good,” he whimpers, garbled promises spilling from his lips. He needs more.
Looking up at Max, he sees the intensity in his stare. “Show me what you need, Angel,” Max asks, his voice gruff and low. Logan reaches for one of Max’s hands on his hips, pulling it toward his aching cock.
Max’s hand is teasing yet claiming as he places it on Logan’s navel, almost covering the area. He pushes it down slowly, guiding it to where Logan desperately needs him. Logan tries to push up against Max’s hand, craving friction. “-ff, Off, Maxie, please,” he gasps.
Max looks back up at him, eyes searching. “Are you sure, Angel?” he asks, his voice low and steady.
“Yes! Please, or I’ll cry,” Logan pleads, his voice trembling with need. The urgency in his tone drives Max to finally give in, moving his hand to where Logan aches the most. Logan’s breath catches in his throat as he watches Max push down his briefs, his large hands skillfully pulling them off his legs.
The cool air hits Logan’s skin, heightening his senses as he feels Max’s warm calloused palm wrap around him, relief flooding through him as the pressure eases. It doesn’t take much; his precum makes the slide in Max’s fist slick and smooth. Logan gasps, his body responding instinctively to the sensation, his hips bucking slightly as Max begins to move, slowly at first.
“Easy, Angel,” Max murmurs, his voice low and soothing as he matches the pace to Logan’s desperate gasps. Each stroke is deliberate, building the tension within him, making Logan writhe in need. “Tell me how it feels,” Max urges, his grip firm yet gentle, keeping Logan anchored as the pleasure swells.
“Wish you were inside,” Logan gasps, his voice trembling as he whines, his back arching at each stroke. His tongue feels thick, heavy with need, and he manages to stammer, “Can’t wait, wanna feel you…” followed by a hiccup, “all the time.”
Max’s eyes darken with hunger, his grip tightening just enough to send another jolt of pleasure through Logan. “You will, Angel,” he promises, his voice low and filled with heat. “When I have you all to myself, not here.”
He quickens his pace slightly, coaxing Logan closer to that sweet release. The tension builds like a coil, ready to snap at any moment, and Logan can feel the heat pooling deep inside him. Each stroke pushes him closer to the edge, the sensations washing over him like waves, leaving him breathless and craving more. “Maxie, please,” he whimpers, lost in the moment, his body responding eagerly to every touch.
As Max maintains his rhythm, Logan feels the tension build to an unbearable peak. The pleasure overwhelms him, and suddenly, he can't hold back any longer. Moans spill from his lips, high-pitched and desperate, filling the room with sound.
“Maxie!” he gasps, his voice trembling as he arches his back, his body responding eagerly to the relentless strokes, his hands clutching at the bedding. The feeling is too intense, and he can’t help but whimper and keen, each sound more frantic than the last.
“Angel, shh,” Max urges, his voice a husky whisper as he presses a hand over Logan’s mouth, trying to muffle the sounds. “We don’t want anyone to hear you, do we Angel?”
Logan nods, eyes wide with need, but the pressure inside him is building, and he can’t help but whimper against Max’s hand. He tries to quiet himself, but each stroke makes it harder. “Max!” he cries out, unable to hold back the sound, the desperation in his tone echoing in the room.
“You can do it, Angel,” Max murmurs, his hand stroking Logan’s cheek.
Logan feels the heat coiling tighter, the world around him fading away again until it’s just him and Max. “I can’t… I’m gonna—” he stammers, feeling the familiar rush of his impending orgasm.
“Let go, Angel,” Max encourages, his voice low and steady, the sound wrapping around Logan like a promise. “I’ve got you.”
With a few more strokes, the tension snaps, and Logan cries out, his voice muffled but desperate as he comes undone beneath Max. “Maxie!” he moans, the waves of pleasure crashing over him, leaving him breathless and trembling.
Max keeps his hand pressed over Logan’s mouth, his other hand never faltering in its movements, coaxing every last bit of pleasure from Logan’s body. “That’s it, good boy,” he whispers, his voice thick with satisfaction until Logan is shuddering through his orgasm, feeling completely lost in the moment.
As the pleasure begins to fade, Logan collapses against the pillows, panting and spent, the warmth of Max’s body anchoring him in the afterglow. Max’s hand slowly retreats, brushing Logan’s hair back as he whispers, “You did so good, Angel.”
Logan feels soft—boneless in the aftermath, his heart racing as he looks up at Max, a satisfied smile tugging at his lips. Max gazes back at him, warmth in his eyes, before moving to the ensuite. He returns with a wet towel, gently cleaning him up, his touch tender and reassuring.
“Mmm, need a shower now,” Logan mumbles into the pillow, the warmth of the towel contrasting with the cool air.
Max chuckles softly, his fingers gliding over Logan’s skin. “Let’s get you cleaned up, then,” he replies, his voice low and inviting. He finishes up and leans down, pressing a soft kiss to Logan’s forehead.
“Shall we hop in the shower together?” Max asks, a playful glint in his eye.
Logan’s heart skips at the thought. “Yes, please,” he replies, a shy smile spreading across his face.
Max offers his hand, helping Logan up from the bed.
Afterwards, Max dresses Logan in one of his own T-shirts and a pair of boxers, the fabric soft and comforting against Logan's skin. As he helps Logan pull his jeans up, there’s a gentle care in his movements, as if he’s handling something precious.
“Got it, Angel?” Max asks playfully, a teasing smile on his lips.
Logan chuckles softly, feeling the warmth of their shared moments lingering in the air. “Yeah, I’m good,” he replies, though he leans into Max’s touch, enjoying the intimacy of the moment.
They bask in each other's presence, wrapped in their bubble of comfort and affection, the simple joy of being together before they have to venture outside. Max leans down, brushing his lips against Logan’s neck, grounding them both in the sweetness of the morning.
—-------
As they enter the kitchen, they find Fernando buttering his toast way too happily. “Good morning, Logan! Maxie! Did you have a good rest—or should I say, good morning?” he asks, hiding a grin as he bites into his toast.
Realizing Fernando must have heard a bit of their morning, Logan coughs and stutters out a polite, “Yes, and yourself?” completely ignoring Fernando’s hint. Max just chuckles and moves to make himself an espresso, turning to ask Logan if he’d like one too. “Sure, Max,” Logan answers softly.
“Oh, actually, Fernando! Do you know which room Oscar and Alex stayed in last night?” Logan asks, remembering Fernando was one of the people allocating spots.
Fernando’s eyes shine for a moment. “Why, yes! They’re down the hall, two doors down from you and Max’s room, but I wouldn’t go in there if I were you… I’d let them come out.” His grin is almost maniacal.
“Uh, okay,” Logan decides, scared to see what Fernando means.
But he doesn’t have to wait long, as both his best friends slowly make their way into the kitchen, still half-asleep. This isn’t surprising, but the bruises littering their necks and the shirts they’re wearing—definitely not what they had on last night—catch his attention. It’s as if they pulled on the first things they found off the floor as soon as they smelled coffee.
As they crowd around Max and the coffee machine, Logan hears another set of footsteps patter into the kitchen. It’s George and Carlos—oh my god—in a similar state of dress. George yawns widely, his hair tousled, and as he slumps into a seat, Logan notices how Carlos moves closer, casually resting a hand on George’s shoulder.
As Carlos passes the fridge, he sweeps a hand against Oscar’s back while another brushes down Alex’s, the easy intimacy between them clearly evident. The four of them together like this is a stark contrast to the dynamics from yesterday.
Logan, still processing, looks toward Fernando, who is smiling wolfishly. Suddenly, it makes sense why Fernando helped allocate sleeping arrangements; he no doubt placed those four together the previous night.
Logan feels a smug satisfaction as he recalls his earlier words to Oscar about possibly having both men in his bed—now it’s three.
He returns Fernando’s grin.

New One-shot Alert
My Five X Lila Strip poker one-shot is finally done!
A Preview:
Five expelled his drink, coughing into his fist afterward.
Lila’s eyes widened as she leaned over, patting him on the back a few times as he gasped and sputtered. “I-I’m sorry—” he wheezed. “I-I thought you said ‘strip’—”
“Oh, no. You heard right,” she reassured calmly.
“What the fu-How can-Are you—?!” Five rapidly protested, suddenly squeezing his eyes shut, his expression annoyed and aggrieved in equal turns. “What am I saying? Of course, you’re insane—”
“Oi! You said I get to pick—!”
“Yes, Lila. I did,” Five admitted, his voice strained as he tried to be patient. “But why would you—?!”
“What? Afraid of losing your precious Puritanical sense of propriety because you’re shite at cards—”
“Two things, senior psychopath. One, I am most certainly not ‘shite’ at cards. You must not have read my file too closely while you were at the Commission, because if you had you would know the identity of the only known person to have bested James Hickok in a game of cards—”
“Wild Bill?!” Lila gasped as Five kept talking.
“—Two, you are my brother’s wife—not to mention my best friend!” Five hissed as if worried someone might hear him.
“Aw, old man, I’m touched—!” Lila fawned, only to be cut off.
“Don’t change the subject! Playing strip poker is practically cheating!” he snapped.
Lila rolled her eyes. “Puh-lease! One, there is no way you are telling me you beat Wild Bill and even think for a second, that we’re not going to play! Two, playing strip poker is most certainly not cheating—”
“How the hell do you figure—?!”
“It’s not like we’d even be touching—”
“We’d be naked—!”
“You might be, loser—”
“Regardless of who might be naked in this scenario, Lila, the point still stands that it is obviously —”
“Have you forgotten that you’ve already seen me starkers as it is?” Lila smirked, folding her arms. “Or am I the only one that remembers?”
Lila watched as a vein began to throb at Five’s temple as he gritted out, “You were trying to kill me; forgive me for being a little preoccupied.”
“Not at all! You honestly ought to thank me for even giving you another chance at eyeing the goods!”
Lila watched in amusement as Five gnashed his teeth in frustration, his face growing red. She was unsure if it was from anger or embarrassment.
“We’re both adults, old man; playing a friendly game! Nothing untoward. You Americans are always so touchy about nudity. There are plenty of cultures where family members see each other naked all the time—!”
“Lila, it’s not because we’re—"
“Besides, the human form is natural; not necessarily only sexual,” Lila reasoned, knowing Five well enough to know that an appeal to his sense of logic would be difficult for him to argue against. Although she could think of one other appeal he’d struggle to overcome: an appeal to his sense of pride.
“You’re just afraid I’ll show you up,” Lila grinned.
She liked the way his eyes blazed when he was truly beginning to lose his patience. The way he clenched his jaw, making a muscle jump in his cheek.
“Or worse, that you might like what you see~” Lila whispered, teasing.
Five’s face went scarlet.
Lila felt her heartbeat quicken.
Lila loved ruffling his feathers, flirting and teasing; taunting and baiting; and disturbing his carefully constructed world.
She loved it from the moment they met, and it had only grown over the years.
She remembered when they'd first been enemies, the way his anger and pain had felt like a balm to her soul.
When his bitterness had tasted so very sweet.
Even now, with his brother—her husband—no one else had ever given her this feeling. That spike of adrenaline and dopamine that rushed through her veins like a drug. That thrill that made her heart race.
Her life felt drab, stifling, and joyless sometimes; like she was dragging her feet through a gray, lackluster existence.
And then Five would come along, brightening her life and splashing her universe in technicolor. If she was Dorthy, he was her Oz and she never wanted to go back to Kansas.

Let me bitch and moan before posting positivity for a sec because Derek DLC doesn't make you feel like you're cheating on Cove if you're dating him because Derek is actually yours and Cove's friend so spending time with him and crashing to his place doesn't feel weird if you do a platonic route. Which is not the same for Baxter DLC because WDYM I CRASH TO BAXTER'S PLACE AFTER INTERACTING WITH HIM FOR 3 DAYS AFTER 5 YEARS HE GHOSTED ME WHAT THE FUCK-

bpd is super cool and fun bc if i am attached to someone and they like someone else more than me, i either:
resent the person i have never met (bc they're better than me)
resent the person i am attached to (bc they don't like me more)
OR
resent myself (for not being good enough)
and it usually happens bc the other person has a fucking romantic interest in the person they "like more". fam i do not even want that with you why am i acting like it's a competition
it also happens with best friends though. like. why does my little pea brain think i need to be the ~best friend~ of everyone i latch onto like a parasitic worm. that's too many people i can't be a best friend every time
and on one memorable occasion, i felt it about a FUCKING CAT, which is all new levels of pathetic (me and the cat became friends though)

Crazy how i went from hating stevetony and having winteriron as like. My otp I Guess, when i had my first marvel phase years ago, to now having stevetony have won that spot from winteriron lmao. Just in terms of it being a ship not in their character dynamic. Like this is just my personal feelings about it i respect em both etc . Just to me (i guess i also feel this bc im projecting somewhat) i just prefer tony and bucky to be friends, but i think tony and buckys dynamic, no matter what relationship they're in, is so so interesting and still genuinely rivals steve and tonys dynamic for making me insane, though I hadnt read anything for it in years until i read sinealas new fic. Just. Aaaaaauhgjhg. They live through similar/parallel traumatic events and come out of it with similar understandings of the world with different approaches to acting it out (that understanding being: i am worth the most to society as a weapon that atones for my past sins) (and their approaches being: i am going to right my wrongs from the background where nobody can get in my way or lay eyes on me vs im going to put myself on the line and be the one taking the blame in the spotlight hiding what good i may do behind a mask because its what i deserve) . And its very interesting I love reading it in any format i love them coming to understand each others feelings and realizing despite how they absolutely shouldnt relate to each other they very much do.
#buckyyy so sorry the st*ckies ruined ur fanon self for years#if u r wondering what i mean by projecting and thus seeing them as platonic#well: am aroace. do kin tony. i think my brain is like well this is like if i had mutual understanding with someone#in which case we'd at most be qpps#this is why im like its entirely a me thing that i dont particularly see them that way. it doesnt like bother me or anything tho lmao#when they are understood as characters though and played off of each other well. MMMMMMMM YES.#it is like jotaro and kakyoin in a mild way not the same same but the same relationship type. they have a mutual understanding#i can see stevetony fine because steve and tony make each other better and worse and theyre insane for it thats craziness gbless <3 luv it#steve and tony theoretically dont have similar lives and life experiences but have ended up at the same train station of life#both have ended up with similar ways of carrying themselves but with different outlooks#causes them to work together and understand each other well. also causes them to have deep fundamental differences#and react to those differences in ways the other can hardly understand#tension. craziness. so interesting#sorry for rambling but also i guess i shouldnt be this is the first actual marvel post on here in a while huh lolll#i havent read a tony fic in a long time and i havent read winteriron in so long . last time i read it my friend wrote it rly well#but i think she took down her ao3 and i havent had the will to go search out more or god forbid risk reading an mcu fic /hj#anyway#marvel#tony stark#bucky#winteriron#the gamer speaks uwu

My uncanny ability to accidentally specifically predict bad things now means that for the second time, a supervisor has told me to stop making predictions while at work since they keep coming true.
This has happened in two different jobs in two different fields now. Yay.
#I'm psychic#legit my old desk job my supervisor was like 'Hope you really have to stop making predictions.'#and even one of my old coworkers was like 'you know when i first started i thought you were joking... but it really is... uncanny'#because i could basically summon people at that job to either show up or call me whenever i said 'ugh i need to speak to so and so'#or worse if i said 'i don't want to speak to so and so' either way the exact person would walk in or call me minutes after i said it.#and now at this new job i jinxed something bad happening and it was pretty bad. not like ruin the show bad. but bad.#and then the next day i was joking that i had accidentally jinxed it and then i started to say something else#and i was like 'wait no let me not say that out loud' and my supervisor was like 'yes please don't say it.'#and a coworker was like 'Hope yeah shut up. don't do it.' so yeah. i gotta stop speaking things into existence.#like my first day at this job i was walking with a coworker after we ran an errand and we walked by his friend's workplace#and he was like 'i always walk by here and never see her.' and i was about to say 'maybe today is the day'#but all i could say was 'may-' and his friend came running out the door to say hi because they finally overlapped.#then i was like 'that's so weird because i was going to say that today might be the day it finally happens then it did.'#and the next day he told me that she later said to him 'it was weird. i had a feeling i needed to look outside. and there you were'#and i was like 'look this is a joke but really half a joke. i'm somewhat psychic so that doesn't shock me.'#is predicting things a symptom of my anxiety? yes. am i also legitimately somewhat psychic? possibly.#i mean i had a great-great aunt who was psychic. and my family on my mom's side (with the aunt) has weird coincidences.#my grandma who just passed had the ability to call my landline the MOMENT i walked into my apartment. without fail.#and my mom and brother many times have both texted me the same question unprompted without speaking to each other.#so while i joke that i'm psychic. it's honestly half a joke. because there are some WEIRD things on this side of the family.#and it definitely manifests in me too. so much so that i've been told to stop doing it.

bad dating stories time: the shoe incident
so in highschool, my best friend wasnt allowed to go on dates unless there was another couple there to keep an eye on him. part of this was his parents being insane, but also, part of it was him being insane. in a problem with no reasonable parties, there are no reasonable solutions.
at some point in my junior year, my sorta-gf broke up with me, and i just wasnt feeling dating, which was bad for my friend, because he had a good thing going with a girl he met in court.
he kind of hounded me about it. kept pushing me to just put me feet back in the dating pool and i wasnt real thrilled about it, because i knew he was pushing me for his own benefit, not mine, so i kept telling him to fuck off, and after a few weeks of being told that i would date when i was damn well ready, he eventually said: okay. what if i paid for the date AND found you a blind date AND all you had to do was show up?
and i shouldve said no, i know, but i let him wear me down, and i will own my fault in that. a date starting on such a stupid premise could never have gone well.
but he still managed to find a way to make it worse.
i dont know how long he tried to set a blind date up. it couldve been multiple attempts. he couldve stooped to this immediately. but what happened in the end was that he called a girl from the ward he attended - a girl that he knew had a giant, mushy crush on him - and he said: hey! how would you feel about going on a date this weekend?
(you know, implying it was with him, but never actually saying it.)
and she said YES WOW I WOULD LOVE TO and he said great! and then he called me up and said he found me a date.
i did not learn about his crimes until several weeks later. i will die swearing before god almighty that i would never have allowed this travesty to happen if i had known.
that was on a monday. the date of the date rolled around that friday evening, and im sorry to confess, i really phoned the whole thing in. i showed up in my favorite comfy outfit, which was also a fashion crime: basketball shorts and flipflops and a baja hoodie. it was super comfy but it made me look kind of crazy. i picked him up first, and then i picked up his date next, and then we went to pick up my date, and thats where you're gonna get the play by play.
i arrived, walked across the yard, and knocked on the front door. she opened it almost immediately, like shed been waiting right by it, and i could see her expression go from OMG IM SO EXCITED to super disappointed, then disgusted and finally pissed. and because i didn't know about my friends sins, i thought it was from my outfit. which seemed... harsh. like, hey, im allowed to be quirky, fuck you. also its a blind date, i thought the deal was that we were both going to be sad broken sacks of mortality.
anyway, we looked at each other for several seconds before she slammed the door in my face.
i looked back at my friend. he was sweating bullets. i dont know what he expected from this, but there was this big long pause where we both tried to figure out what to do, and then the door opened up, and her dad invited me in, and he said she was gonna need a few minutes to finish getting ready, and that in the meantime we could sit and talk.
we did not talk. we did sit. i sat down on the couch, and he sat down in a chair across the couch, and then instead of talking he cleaned his pistol on the coffee table. i wasnt actually sure if it was a threat, or if it was just a fidget thing for 40+ year old republican men, but when i tried to help he got snappy so i just watched him put a pistol back together.
he was okay at it.
eventually my date came downstairs, still mad as hell for reasons beyond my ken, and i felt pretty guilty for being such a mess because i thought that was why she was so angry. i tried to make up for by walking her to the car and getting the door for her, just generally trying to be extra polite, but before i could make it back to the drivers side, her dad called me back to the door. so i flipped around, went to the door, and immediately regreted my decision.
soon as i was within range, her dad got waaaay too close to me, leaned in, and said "whatever you do to her, i will do to you," and my brain went into overdrive making three consecutive realizations.
realization one was, damn, the pistol thing was a threat. that sucks. what an asshole. realization two was, wait, im autistic and even i know theres a 0% chance me and my date even hold hands, least of all boink. does this guy actually think there's even a 1% chance of anyone in that car getting laid tonight? is he an idiot? and then realization three went through, which was wait, is this guy threatening to fuck me? and unfortunately, with my brain doing so much processing, my mouth was left to run amok, so somewhere between realization 2 and 3, i said:
"i can't get pregnant"
which, i swear, wasn't actually me trying to be a smartass, it was just me pointing out that he couldn't actually follow up on that threat. it just wasn't possible. we do not live in the omegaverse and im not scared of you.
still, it was an insanely catastrophic thing to say, and the moment we both heard it, we bluescreened. that single sentence obliterated both of our momentary streams of consciousness like a saltine in front of a sand blaster. problem was, he'd probably gone his whole life not even realizing someone could say something that stupid, and making that realization was going to cost him a lot of thinking time. me though? i had been saying shit like that for 17 years, i didnt have to rewrite my expectations of human nature, i just had to plan an exit and start striding. so i was already halfway back to the car before i heard "hey. hey come back. Hey. Hey. HEY. HEY WAIT. HEY GET BACK HERE. HEY-"
and then i was in my car, and i drove away.
if this happened today, he'd have called her, and the whole thing wouldve imploded then and there, but back then, there were still a decent number of teenagers without cell phones. especially the teenagers of insane, gun toting parents. so she just said: whoa what was that all about? and i said: dont worry about it, he'll tell you about it when you get home.
and she said: ok and went back to staring daggers at me and my friend.
WHICH SURPRISINGLY isnt even how the story ends.
we went to an improv comedy show, and it was a disaster. it shouldve been like, 7/10 tops, but between my date being mad, and my friend having a good time, and me having the existential terror of knowing that a guy with a pistol was probably waiting outside his house for me to come back, it was easily 11/10. i laughed way too hard at everything. especially the jokes that flopped. id sit there in this mostly silent room and laugh until i dry heaved a little, and my date was absolutely disgusted, and even my friend was a little embarrassed, which would just make me laugh harder. i laughed so hard that night i could barely talk the next day. and then the show ended, and my friend said, you know, that was a good time, but i think we should maybe do something a little chiller? who wants to walk around the park? and his date said yeah, and my date said no, and i finally had mercy on the poor woman so i said, look, im gonna drop you off. and i am so, so sorry about this, but im dropping you off like a block away. super duper sorry.
do talk to your dad about the pistols thing if you dont want this happening more in the future tho.
and she said: okay. so i dropped her off, and she walked a block down, and that was that.
then i drove my friend and his date to a park that was good for wandering. i figured they wanted something more private, so instead of following them around point blank, i chose a park with this 30 foot rope tower, and i climbed to the top and i said: hey i can see you anywhere from up here, you are officially chaperoned from a distance. get panopticoned idiot. except my friend really is an idiot, and he didnt really get the whole 'now i dont have to third wheel so insanely hard with you guys' thing so he climbed up the tower too, and then his date followed behind him, so there are three people basically sitting together on top of a telephone pole.
and then they started making out.
i was close enough to hear it.
i didnt really know what to do so i was just kind of sitting there, dissociating, when some college kids came around and started shaking the tower. my friend's date went aaaaaaaaaa im afraid of heights :( and my friend went oh, dont worry, ill hold you tight ;) and i went hey, im gonna climb down and ask them to stop.
so i did climb down, and i did ask them to stop, and they flipped me off, which i wasnt even mad about. at that point i was i was like yeah, it would be weirder if this wasnt a mess. gods plan has been to fly this day like a 747 into my metaphorical twin towers and brother he is close enough for me to see him grinning through the cockpit window. still, eventually the college students got bored, so they climbed up the tower, which gave my friend and his date a window to climb down, and together we walked back to my car.
now, i cant explain why this is, but sitting back in the drivers seat was my carriage-back-into-a-pumpkin moment. i'd been chill about all the chaos, just rolling with the punches, but sitting down made me realize how much of a shitshow the day had been, and while i couldnt go back and fix all of it, i could go back and fix one thing.
so i told my friend and his date, hey, you two, stay here and don't do anything weird. don't. then i walked back to the rope tower, and i started picking up the shoes the college students had left at the base in order to climb.
about halfway through this, i realized that if i took all their shoes, they might think i was in it for the money, and i actually wanted them to know i was in it specifically to spite them. fuck those guys. so i put all the right shoes back, gave myself a 100 foot headstart, yelled "nice shoes, assholes", did a little jig, and started running.
my advice to everyone is that college students are faster than you think. even with the headstart, and the whole climb down the tower thing, i was still only fivish seconds ahead of them by the time i got to my car. i flung the door open, looked in the backseat, didnt see anyone, flung the stolen shoes in the backseat, heard two "ow"s, took that as proof of presence, jumped in and pealed out of the lot.
my friend and his date popped up a few seconds later. they were, uh, doing something weird in the back seat. my one request - obliterated.
they climbed up to ask where the hell all the shoes had come from, and i was like yeah i stole them from the college students, and they were like oh. cool. hope you had fun. and i was like, i did. i did. but speaking of fun, what were you doing back there?
and for the first time in my buddies life, i think he was actually embarassed.

Working at a restaurant with 141! (Part 1)
Let's get this out of the way, the restaurant fucking sucks. Don't even know how it's still open. The food is terrible. The owner is an incompetent drunk who's never there. You got referred to the job from a friend of a friend. You did an interview with the head chef/manager, John. He hired you because you were hot.
"The fuckin ass on that one, huh?"
Just like any man that works in a restaurant, they're all horny fucks who love to tease you. You'd run back to the kitchen and ask to tweak an order. Price would wink and say:
"Next time it's gonna cost ya."
When it gets slow (which was all the time), you'd sit in the back and chat about how they met and what they did with their lives. They all get paid under the table for various reasons. Johnny takes smoke breaks with you, sometimes Price joins. Gaz pours shots for everyone after "busy" nights (busy meaning there was an hour where there were two tables to serve instead of one). Ghost... well he's strictly work. Sometimes he engages in banter with the guys, but he only acknowledges you when needed.
Your first month flies by, you basically get paid to sit around and talk with the most charming men on the planet, and Simon.
"He'll warm up eventually. Just gotta loosen 'em up, just like any tight ass."
Soap smirked as he leaned against a counter while everyone was wrapping up for the night.
"Don't you have dishes to put away?"
Ghost snapped while wiping down his station. At least he was nice to look at.
You and Gaz would roll up the forks and knives talking about bullshit, knees touching. Soap and you would light each others smokes by touching one lit end to the unlit one, all while still holding the cigarettes in your mouths (he called it a cigarette kiss). Price would constantly make food for you:
"Gotta plump you up 'fore it starts getting cold, yeah?"
He'd look you up and down while sliding you a basket of fries. And Simon? Cold as ever. Even when he started driving you to and from work because your car broke down. He drove like a madman, but it was totally silent. You made the mistake of reaching for the radio once, he gave a admonitory grunt and you snatched your hand away.
As time went on, you got comfortable with everyone and they got comfortable with you. It started with suggestive jokes.
"Simon's just straightforward, doesn't beat around the bush."
Price said one day while prepping vegetables with Ghost.
"What are you talking about? He beats around the bush all the time Price, you know that."
Soap walked by with a shit eating grin while he was carrying a bucket of dishes to the back. Uproar from the guys. Ghost storms off following Johnny, knife in hand. You want to stop him, but Gaz places a hand on your shoulder.
"Best not to do that, just let 'em settle that amongst themselves."
Johnny comes back disheveled, wearing a different shirt. Simon is stone faced as usual as he goes back to prep. It only got worse after that.
You'd watch as the boys messed with each other more; pats on the back, that turns to squeezes on the shoulders, that turned to slaps on the ass.
"They're just handsy," you think to yourself.
Eye contact that lingers for a second too long.
"They're just close friends," you think to yourself.
Compliments that boarder on harassment.
"They're just joking around," you think to yourself.
Then you entered the walk-in freezer, only to make direct eye contact with Johnny as he has Kyle's dick down his throat.
"Oh, uh-huh..." you think to yourself.
You didn't look at their faces for a week, they acted as if nothing happened. Then, the flirting only got worse.
"Behind!"
Price would yell while grinding up against Simon's ass when passing behind him.
"Yes, Chef."
He'd respond while he continued cooking, unfazed. They seemingly shared clothes: the younger guys preferred to don John and Simon's apparel all the time. You stopped going into the walk-in for a while, you figured you'd give Gaz and Soap some privacy (although they didn't seem to mind an audience). Christ, was everyone fucking everyone here?
You were taking a smoke break with Price when he leaned back on the railing and adjusted himself, it wasn't really adjusting himself as it was more him gripping his thick dick and looking directly into your eyes. You nearly choked as he smiled.
Ghost threw you a hoodie when he dropped you off one night. It started raining before you got home and you were complaining about just getting your hair done. You tried to give it back but he refused to take it.
"Keep it. I don't care about that one anyways."
He shrugged. You'd wear the oversized hoodie to bed, the smell was comforting. Smoky, dusty, boozy, like Javanese vetiver. It smelled like a grown man. Delicious. Accidentally wore it to work one day when you were in a rush getting ready. That started a trend for the rest of them to get you to wear their clothes. It less of a trend and more of a competition honestly. They'd "accidentally" spill drinks or food on you.
"No worries, I've got an extra shirt in my car!"
They'd have a wide, cheeky smile plastered on their faces while giving you their shirt. Of course, they wouldn't take them back either; so you had a growing collection of huge shirts that you'd wear around your apartment. Eventually, you had to go back to the walk-in. Thankfully, there were no exhibitionists present. You were reaching to grab some ketchup when the door opened. You and Johnny stared at each other for a long moment.
"Need help getting that, bonnie?"
Before you could respond he was reaching over you, pressing his chest on your back. He handed you the bottle while his dick grew hard on your ass. He was breathing hard in your ear, waiting for your reaction. You pushed back on him and that's all he needed, he gripped your hips and grinded into you. Even through your jeans you could feel his dick twitch when you moaned. It was a hot minute of panting while he pulled you back onto him desperately, like he was trying to fuck you right through the denim. The door handle clicked. You both froze, staring at the entryway.
"Johnny?"
Gaz's head popped in. Your face got hot while he stared back and forth at the two of you. One thing led to another, and your pants are around your ankles while Johnny is face first in your wet folds. Kyle is standing behind you, fucking your thighs and leaving sloppy kisses on your neck.
"Pretty doll, how long have ye bin waiting fur this, huh?"
Soap looked up at you with so much adoration, like he was servicing a goddess.
"Gonna cum Johnn-"
Gaz whimpered and bit your shoulder to muffle his groans as he came right between your thighs and cunt. Soap cleaned up the mess greedily, savouring the taste of both your juices. He didn't stop eating you out until you finished. Gaz held you up while your knees buckled when you came undone. Gentlemen they are, pulled up your pants for you and wiped the smeared lipgloss from your face. You stumbled out of the freezer, walking past the kitchen. Price's eyes crinkled as he saw you head out onto the floor.
~
"You shouldn't do that in there. It's unsanitary. And a health code violation."
Simon looked straight ahead as he weaved between cars. You opened your mouth, but no words came to mind, so you just nodded. Your leg bounced nervously. He grabbed your thigh, stopping the movement. His hand stayed there until you were in front of your place. You stared at him, his brown eyes boring into you.
"G'night."
He pulled his hand away, placing both of them on the steering wheel. You walked into your apartment, dizzy with confusion. "What the fuck is going on?"

Lando knew that there was something between the three of them.
Anyone could see that. Instagram, twitter, TikTok, hell even the Formula 1 app was talking about it. The grid was getting very suspicious, but who could blame them.
Max wasn’t putting out the fire by pulling his two childhood friends in as they posed for pictures. Charles couldn’t help but flash his God-given dimples at the Dutchman or the Briton girl. And Y/n, she was just as bad, blush on her cheeks every moment she was around them.
So yeah, everyone was talking. But, no one truly knew what exactly was going on.
And that’s exactly what Lando was going to find out. (With the help of his fellow 16 drivers.)
His first victim: the French bestie of the non-French man.
“I have no clue what is going on between the three,” was the first thing that came out of Pierre’s mouth when Lando showed up to his driver’s room door. The poor McLaren driver hadn’t even gotten a word out.
Lando rolled his eyes. “You have to know something. And you call yourself Charles’s best mate.”
Pierre threw his hands up. “Non, apparently that is Y/n and Max. I’ve been kicked to the side.”
The Alpine driver definitely wasn’t bitter or anything. He was actually thankful that you and Max had been able to keep an eye on Charles when he couldn’t. Knowing that the Monegasque had frequent delf-deprecating thoughts, he felt better that he had the two of you.
Pierre turned to Lando. “Aren’t you supposed to Max’s best friend as well? How would I know something that you don’t.”
Now that made Lando’s brows furrow. He was supposed to be Max’s best friend. And maybe that’s why he felt a bit peeved to not know what was supposedly going on between you, him, and Charles. His arms crossed in front of his chest.
“I’m going to get to the bottom of this,” he muttered, turning away to the door.
The Frenchman scoffed. “Good luck mate. We’ve been trying since 2019.”
“We?”
Lewis was not expecting the numerous knocks at his door during media day. The Briton held his breath, willing the unexpected visitors to give up and go away. Yet, a sigh left his lips once the knocking started up again. He pulled himself off of his couch and walked over.
When the door swung in, two bodies brushed against his side.
His eye brows raised. “Yes, welcome. Come right in. Oh, thank you Lewis for allowing us to disturb your peace.”
Lando chewed his lip. “Yeah, thanks man.”
Pierre took a look around the room. “Thank you Lewis.”
The papaya clad driver took a seat exactly where Lewis’s had been sitting, which cause Lewis to glare at him.
“And why are the two of you here?”
Pierre huffed, looking at the pictures on Lewis’s wall.
“Ask him.” A finger pointed at Lando, making the Briton look up from his phone.
“Oh yeah. Do you know. . . ”
Once again, Lando couldn’t even finish his sentence because Lewis interrupted him.
“No, I don’t know what’s going on between Y/n, Max, and Charles. Honestly Lando, no one knows and I don’t think they know either.”
Lando leaned his head back and groaned.
“But how could they not? They all make goo-goo eyes at each other. And it’s worse on the podium.”
“At least you haven’t bit on the podium with two-thirds of the groups. It’s insufferable man. They can’t go without talking about each other for more than a few moments.”
A laugh left Pierre’s lips. “Oh yeah. It’s always ‘Y/n was so strong on corner 2’ or ‘Pierre, did you see how Max overtook Checo?’ And then ‘Oh Charles was told to stay behind again. He really needs to ignore them.’ It makes me want to puke every time.”
Lando scratched his chin. “Now that I’m thinking about it, you’re right. It was like how Max and Charles completely ignored me in China. They kept looking at Y/n below!”
The last few words had a slight whine to them. Charles had been quick enough to catch Checo on the last lap, and placed himself in P3 after Lando.
The Alpine driver looked lost. “Lewis, you’ve been Y/n’s teammate for almost three years. How can you not know anything.”
All he got was a glare back.
“Like I said, Gasly, I don’t even think they know something is going on. It’s pathetic honestly.”
Lando put his head in his hands. “She must be pining. Don’t you two do girls night or at least something like that?”
“Lando, she spends all her free moments with Max and Charles. How can she be pining to me if she doesn’t leave their side.”
It was quite for a moment before Lando snapped.
“I’ve got it. If we want grid gossip, we got to go to the source.”
“No Lando, I don’t know if Max, Charles, and Y/n are in a secret relationship. And I don’t think they think of each other like that.”
The groan that Lando let out was so loud it made a couple of people look their way. George, the tall, lanky Briton was set to take Lewis’s seat for 2025 after two years in Williams. The driver pool was going crazy.
Logan was returning to Formula 1 with HAAS after a brief sabbatical and would be a teammate pair with Oliver Bearman. Nico and Daniel of all people were going to Audi. Liam was set to take the second Red Bull seat. And Carlos, well, no one really knew, but rumors said that he was going to return with Audi when they caught up with the regulations in 2027.
The McLaren driver was close to pulling his curls out.
“But George.”
Lando was now full on whining. George seemed exasperated and shrugged.
“We’re not that close anyway. We aren’t even teammates yet. And you knew how she yelled at me that one time that my car scraped a hole in Max’s car.”
The group of four winced at the memory.
Max had just finished yelling at George, calling him every name under the sun. And then you had shown up to double it. The Williams, well, now Mercedes driver, was thankful that Charles had shown up to drag the two of you away.
Lewis looked a bit pale.
“Yeah. I don’t think she’s fully forgiven me for Silverstone 2021.”
Lando turned to Lewis. “But they were all still fighting at that point. Remember the whole unfollowing they did in 2019?”
Pierre snorted. “Of course we remember. That doesn’t mean that they didn’t still care about each other. You know that Charles and Y/n were the first ones to congratulate Max after he won the championship in Abu Dhabi. And then her and Max practically tackled Charles in Japan in 2022. I don’t even want to imagine when Y/n wins her championship.”
Lando ran a hand down his face.
“Well, if Pierre doesn’t know, Lewis and George don’t know. Then who would?”
George cocked his head.
“Have you asked Daniel? You know that he and Max are pretty close.”
Lando’s eyes widened. “Why did I not think of that. George I could kiss you!”
George’s face scrunched. “No thank you. I don’t want to be anywhere near your lips.”
Lewis was already at the door, wanting to get a move on. “Let’s go. George you’re coming too. If we get to the bottom of this, you’re going to have to learn how to deal with all three.”
A shudder ran down George’s spine. He did not want to imagine the horror of sharing a podium with all of them. He’s heard enough stories.
When they got to Daniel’s motorhome, the Australian was peacefully talking with Oscar. Lando had run up to them and was currently hunched over, trying to catch his breath.
“Do,” inhale, “you two,” exhale, “know if,” inhale and heave, “there’s something,” exhale, “going on,” inhale, “with. . .”
Daniel sighed. “Max, Charles, and Y/n?”
Lando shot up, eyes full of hope. Lewis nodded next to him.
“Yes! Do you?”
The older Aussie wanted to smirk as he saw hope fill the group’s faces. He nodded a bit, and Lando looked like someone told him that his birthday and Christmas had come early.
“No.”
The McLaren driver fell to the ground. Pierre smacked Daniel on the shoulder.
“Why would you do that!”
Now Lewis was the one whining.
“Because it was funny. Mate, they’ve been like this since Max joined in 2018. Even then, it was worse than whatever this is.”
The Mercedes driver of the group let out another groan for what felt like the millionth time in that hour.
“Max was insufferable in 2018. Taking his sim everywhere so that he could game and race with them online. And the multiple phone calls. I think Max partied harder for Charles’s F2 champion win and Y/n’s F3 championship than his first race win.”
“Ok, but that’s kind of cute.”
All eyes landed on Oscar.
The younger Aussie’s eyes bulged. “What?”
Daniel pointed a finger at him. “If Max hears you say cute in any way, shape, or form that is distinctly near his name, he will come after you.”
An audible gulp was heard.
Lando had begun to pace. “Well, if I don’t know, Pierre doesn’t know, Lewis doesn’t know, George doesn’t know, Oscar doesn’t know, and Daniel doesn’t know, then who would know?”
Everyone looked a little lost.
“Aha!”
The two papaya drivers jumped out of reflex. Lando’s head turned violently toward Lewis.
“What!”
He held his phone up with a contact showing.
“We call Seb.”
“Lewis, like I’ve told you. Charles hasn’t told me anything.”
For the sake of everyone around in the paddock, they held in their groans.
“But Seb, you were practically Charles’s grid-dad. You have to know something!” Daniel said, face nearly in Lewis’s phone, as if Sebastian could hear him better.
A sigh was heard through the speaker.
“Charles was nothing less than a terror in 2019. I think the calmest anyone has seen him was 2018 when his car didn’t go fast enough for him to catch anyone.”
Lewis hummed. “That’s true.”
“Because everyone there should know that 2019 was the year of them. Every headline was all about them. And don’t get me started on when they had that big fight. I had to hear everything about it every. single. weekend.”
Daniel nodded. “It was the same with Max. If Fernando was here, he could say the same for Y/n since she was still racing with Alpine at the time.”
Oscar had completely forgotten about Fernando being Y/n’s teammate for half a season before she made the jump to Williams to replace Kubica to race alongside Nicholas Latiffi. The young Aussie had looked up to the older female when he was making the decision to leave Alpine. She had personally congratulated him on the move and gave him a wink. Well, had tried to before Max and Charles dragged her away.
Sebastian had gone quiet over the phone.
“Has anyone actually asked them if they’re together or not? Instead of just asking everyone else about a matter that deeply involves the three of them?”
Their silence had answered for them.
Lando grabbed Lewis’s phone out of his hand.
“Thank you Seb! We’ll get right on it!”
“Hey!”
It was too late and Lando had already hung up and was passing the phone back to his fellow Briton.
“Guys, we can’t ask them.”
“What!” Pierre yelled.
“Think about it. If we just go and ask, they’re going to make excuses. We won’t get a right answer.”
“Lando, you’re being unreal. Let’s just go ask them,” George said.
“Ask them what?”
The six of them jumped out of their skin at the new arrival of a familiar voice. Lando froze before slowly turning around, to come face to face with you, Charles, and Max, all looking cozy for media day.
“Uh, nothing?” Lando squeaked out, eyes darting around so he wouldn’t have to look at the trio.
Max snorted. “Doesn’t sound like nothing to me.”
He took a sip of his Red Bull.
Daniel looked panicked. “We were just wanting to ask, uh, Lewis and Nico if they had forgiven each other yet?”
“Hey!”
Charles raised his eyebrows. “Why do you seem so unsure? And Lewis is right there mate. Kind of rude to talk about his problems in front of him.”
“Thank you Charles.”
The Monegasque hummed as he turned to Max. His mouth dropped.
“Max, I thought I told you to stop drinking that stuff. It’s bad for your heart.”
The Dutchman shrugged and took another sip, just to spite the Ferrari driver. You rolled your eyes, knowing a playfight was just around the corner.
Oscar’s eyes narrowed as he looked over the trio’s choice of outfits.
“Y/n, are those Charles’s cloud pants? Charles is that Max’s cap? And Max is that Charles’s Monza hoodie.”
The arguing that was beginning to build between the two male drivers suddenly stopped. Your eyes widened as you jerked your head toward them.
Sure enough, Charles’s hat was not bright red and it had the number 1 on it, something that Charles lost to Max in 2023. You leaned back to look at the hoodie Max was wearing, and indeed it had the iconic podium scene on the back of it. The two males looked toward your pants. The bright white clouds seemed to stare back at them.
“Uh, yes?” you asked. “But we share clothes all the time. It’s not a big deal.”
Max and Charles nodded before Charles was hit with a thought.
“Oh, chéri, I forgot to tell you that your dry cleaning was picked up a few hours ago and is back at the hotel,” he said as he looked at his phone, completely missing the six pairs of wide eyes that were now looking at him.
Max smirked as he leaned over and kissed the top of Charles’s head.
“Thank you schatje.”
This time, a whine came from you.
“I’m being left out,” you muttered, crossing your arms. However, the two were not having it and quickly brought you into their arms.
Lando stared, blinked, and stared some more before he rubbed his eyes. He completely believed that the three would disappear when his hands lowered, but he caught Max in the middle of kissing your lips.
“WHAT?”
You turned back to the group.
“Are you all fine?”
Lewis threw his hands up. “I’m done. Call me when we need to go to the media.”
The door opened quickly, allowing Lewis to slip out.
Pierre looked a bit pale. “What? When? Where? Why?”
Charles shrugged. “We’re together. After my championship. The hotel. We love each other.”
Daniel sighed. “So you’ve been together since 2022?”
Max rolled his eyes. “No.”
“But Charles just said his championship!” Oscar explained, hands outstretched.
It was your turn to smile. “His F2 championship. We’ve been together since 2017.”
A long sigh came from Lando. “I think I need to sit down.”
Daniel’s door swung back open, revealing Lewis once again. He also seemed out of breath. His hands were on his knees for a bit until he straightened back up.
“You’re telling me that you three have been together SINCE 2017!”
You nodded. “Yes.”
Pierre pouted. “But what about 2019?”
The three of you winced in a synchronized matter. With a quick look, Max was the one to sigh. His hands dug into the front pocket of the cozy, black hoodie.
“Long story short, we took a small break until Y/n won in Brazil. We all got our heads out of our asses and apologized.”
Oscar rose an eyebrow. “Then why haven’t you followed each other back on Instagram.”
A snort from you made the two men chuckle. You simply shrugged your shoulders.
“Too lazy? We don’t feel like breaking the internet.”
Lando took a seat on Daniel’s couch. “Why haven’t you told anyone?”
Charles ran a hand over his face. “Lando, we race in countries where people are killed for being homosexual. We can’t risk anything.”
The air suddenly took a solemn turn as the McLaren driver nodded, truly taking in the situation. Charles chewed his lip in anxiety, while Max picked at his fingers. You were looking at the group.
“You won’t tell anyone right?”
Suddenly, everyone felt bad for wanting to find out. They had pushed the three to confess something that they might not have wanted people to know about at that time. What a group of friends they were.
Lando hung his head. “We won’t. I’m sorry that we asked about it before you three were obviously ready to tell someone.”
Another snort left Charles’s lips as his hand rested on his mouth. Max had a shit-eating grin on his face, you had one to match.
Pierre looked at them with a skeptical expression. “Something to tell us?”
Max’s shoulders raised. “People know. You aren’t the first ones to know.”
Lewis sighed, shoulder sagging. George put a hand on the older Briton’s shoulder, trying to offer some comfort. Lando looked close to losing it. His hazel eyes narrowed at the trio.
“Then . . . who knows?”
Charles’s eyes looked up a bit as he started to count.
“Uh, Christian, Fred, Toto, Kimi.”
You pulled out his fingers and counted.
“Jensen, Mark, uh, Nico.”
Lewis looked like he wanted to pass out.
Max smirked.
“Oh, and Seb.”
There was silence amongst the group.
“Oh he is so dead.”
“Lando you can’t kill Seb!”
“Sorry Lewis, but this is his fault!”
“Calm down Lando. You’ll lose your seat.”
“Oscar, I just want to talk to Seb. Who has his phone number?”
“I am not giving you his number Lando.”
“I’m not asking you Lewis. Daniel, I know you have it.”
You smiled in Max and Charles’s arms as Lando started to get physical, trying to grab Daniel’s phone.
You leaned up, immediately being engulfed in Max’s aftershave. “Should we stop them?”
Charles leaned a bit forward to look at his two lovers. A soft smile formed on his face, before a smirk replaced it.
“Nah.”
