TFA X ROTTMNT crossover imagine Idea:
What if back when Splinter was Lou Jitsu he got spirited away in the TFA universe as a cybertronian thanks to a magical artifact long time ago before the first autobots-decepticons War, became a Gladiator against his will, meet Megatron and end up becoming "Friends" with him, build himself a reputation among Cybertronians and became a Well known History figure After managing to get his Freedom back and managed to get all the other Gladiator, Megatron included, free?
What if years After Lou Jitsu managed to get back to his universe and the ROTTMNT canon happen the turtles found the Magic artifact, end up in the TFA universe turned into cybertronians and two of them are warframes while the other two are civilframe?
I got way into this AU crossover the more I wrote about it and I just want to say that you, my friend, are a genius for coming up with it.
-Lou Jitsu's alter ego when he was a cybertronian was Splinter. Yeah, I'm basic like that. His alt mode would have been either a jet or a race car though I'm a bit partial to him having a car alt mode, simply because I could really see him turning into some flashy 80's sport car.
-Becoming a really popular gladiator not only for his fighting skills but also for bringing in his theatrics to the ring. They don't know that but whenever he wants to seem cool he says a one liner from one of his movies. The crowd ate it up every time. He's also really handsome as a bot so he's got a ton of fans.
-Ok but wouldn't be really cool if Splinter kinda revolutionized the cyber-ninja scene??? Like, up until his appearance it had kinda stagnated but when he shows up and shows up his amazing moves all the cyber-dojos go "YOOOOOO, THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME" and he basically starts the cyber-ninja renaissance. He also probably gets offered to become the leader of his own dojo but he declines the offer because he doesn't wanna abandon his new gladiator-buddies.
-Young Yoketron being his pupil??? Showing up one day like Genos in One Punch man and begging for Splinter to become his master??? YOKETRON YELLING "HOT SOUP" EVEN THOUGH HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANS???
Prowl: Master, is it true that you trained under the master Splinter?
Yoketron: Yes, my pupil, I indeed did.
Prowl: Amazing, I've heard so much about him. What was he like?
Yoketron: He was... very wise. *flashback to Splinter forgetting how to use his brakes while in alt mode and crashing into a wall*
-Also, as for the brothers, if two of them are warframes then I imagine it being Raph and Leo. Raph because, well, he's built like a brick, it makes sense, and Leo because his weapons are the most lethal, made to kill. Also, Raph would be a tank while Leo would be a jet. Meanwhile, Donnie's alt mode would be like a microscope/telescope or something while Mikey would be a racer, either a motorcycle or a race car. I just want Mikey to have wheels on his pedes and rollerblade around while fighting.
-I also want some cyber-ninja dojo to 'discover' Mikey's talents, both as a ninja and spiritually, and taking him in. And Mikey can't tell them the truth, that he's already trained, so he has to pretend to be a newbie but instead he comes off as an actual genius, a prodigy only seen once every eon (he is a prodigy though so they're not too far off). Mikey shows them his 'magic hands' and the old coots practically faint.
-Meanwhile, Donnie gets similarly 'discovered' by the autobot Ministry of Science when they take notice of his remarkable intelligence and honestly? Donnie eats up the attention and praise. Perceptor and Wheeljack are fighting over who gets to mentor him and Donnie just does "Gentlemen, please, the answer is obvious; You both teach me everything you know. I want to know it all."
-Splinter, after becoming a mutant, turns into a cybertronian again but he looks really different so no one recognizes him. He's a beast-former now with a rat alt mode, about the height of Bumblebe (maybe even shorter). He kinda radiates this mystical air though, only perceivable to those with more spiritual senses, like Prowl.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Edit: Added some ideas of what Bot-Splinter would look like, both before and after mutating.

Okay, this is a random request, but Sean Chiplock (Subaru voice actor for the English dub) is gonna be at a comic con I’m going to in 2 days and I want to get an autograph but I haven’t decided yet what quote to get along with the signature.
So what are your fav re:zero quotes said by Subaru (that I could realistically get written on a print)?
I’ve only just started reading the light novels as well (though I am tempted to get “you are an amazing guy, Natsuki Subaru”, because I know the context of the scene even if I haven’t read it yet ahaha) but since it’s the dub voice actor it’d probably make more sense to get a quote he’s actually already voiced (and since season 3 isn’t out yet).
So anyway, now I’m just rambling, but any suggestions?
YOOOOOO i hope you have fun at the con anon!! :DD and i hope you get to see other rezero fans there if that is something you want. !!
im definitely fond of the rezero dub and sean chiplocks performance as subaru is one of the standouts fr. and of course the "youre an amazing guy" quote is SO GOOD i hope youve had a good time with reading the light novels :o but trueee gotta save that quote for After season three...
alright so i have some quotes for you :3 you can shorten them or paraphrase them or something as you see fit <3 i tried hard to find quotes by like. googling. or consulting fellow rezero mutuals. or by pirating rezero english dub HAH
"My name is Subaru Natsuki! Not only am I totally clueless, but I'm also broke beyond compare! Nice to meet ya!" / "My name is Subaru Natsuki, son of Kenichi Natsuki! I can do anything, and I will do anything! 'Cause your son's just that awesome!" this is The quote of all time fr.
"Take care." :,))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) not directly from subaru but like We All Know the significance of this quote + its easy to write down ;-;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
"Tell me your name." / "I want you to tell me what your name is." this is from @eiese who is fucking hilarious so like. this is the quote for when subaru asks for emilias name at the end of arc 1 right? so just. imagine this quote... next to chiplock's signature... HAH....
"Let's start from zero!" not a quote thats always said by subaru of course across the many rezero media but it is just So Iconic :,)))) <333
"I will always believe in you." / "Believe in you." so simple but so real <3
"No matter how silly it is, you can talk about tomorrow because you have a tomorrow."
"As long as I have life, all I can do is fight with all my might."
"You are demonically inspired!" not necessarily a subaru line but it is similarly subaru related and iconic imo <3
"Choose me." :,)))))))))
"If bringing happiness to other people is one of the main reasons you wanna work so hard, then let your number one help you." <3
"Emilia - I am your knight. Yours and yours alone."
"Who says dunderhead these days?" a silly one but <3
"What happens in the beginning or middle isn't what matters. It's the end that counts." said by naoko and said again by subaru ;-;;;;;;
anyway thats all the quotes i came up with alsdjfl if i come up with more before your con ill reblog this pfft. i hope these helped or at least gave you ideas!! have a good time at your con once again :o

Hey padfootastic,
Was scrolling through hp posts and saw a post where people were fighting over Remus situation. So just wanted to know your opinion bout it. Do you think Remus could have done better in PoA? He was a professor, responsible for the safety of others.
No matter how much I love Sirius but at that time he wasn't innocent in others mind, so hiding a big detail that could have affected the whole situation, hell, had Sirius really had been behind harry, he would have been dead cause our little innocent Remus here thought that it was a good idea to not tell them how Sirius had all the resources at his disposal. How easy it was for him to sneak into Hogwarts and harm harry and others.
It really was dangerous and well indirectly he did prove Snape right no? What do you think could have happened had Remus had guts to tell Dumbledore about Sirius being an animagus?
On the other side, oh man! I can imagine Sirius being all furious and depressed at the same time. He'd need to go for another plan, he'd think that now he won't be able to even see Harry easily and many more difficulties. Ugh
Imagine the angst after after innocence thing, Sirius letting go any single drop of love he might have had for Remus and treating him like a any other person. No different. Remus hating himself more and more and Sirius just. Not. Giving a. Single. eff. About the whole damn thing. I cant-
Please tell me what you think bout the whole situation.
yoooooo
i love this lol people asking me for my remus opinions never gets old bc i have endless salt to provide. i will never not be annoyed by that cretin.
okay so. PoA. i don’t often focus on that part of his whole arc (which is, funnily enough, one of the only concessions to remus’ ‘flaws’ that i’ve seen the remus fans give lol) but it’s honestly so??? like it’s literally one of the best examples we have of how self preservation is literally built into his core. iirc he doesn’t do it bc he’s afraid of how dumbledore would perceive him? doesn’t want him to know how they (he) broke his trust? and he’s willing to damn an entire school of students PLUS his best friends son to an alleged mass murderer for it. he will have that on his conscience rather than self introspection a bit and get thru the hard part.
i’ve seen people call him brave for a variety of reasons which all begin and end w his lycanthropy but i’m gonna be honest, he’s one of the most cowardly characters in the series in my opinion. every single time he has to make an active decision that might compromise his sense of self/perception or even just his peace of mind, he backs off. retreats. runs the fuck away. attacks outward. doesn’t take responsibility.
i think snape was both right, in that remus was helping sirius but wrong, because it wasn’t out of any friendship or responsibility. it was just a way to save face for himself. also probably him not wanting to confront any difficult feelings or memories.
wrt if he had told dumbledore? man idek. i literally can’t imagine it and surprisingly, haven’t read any fics exploring that option either 🤔 sus, that. also very telling lol maybe tightened security? disappointed dumbles? i cant see any major changes tho bc even sirius as a grim was pretty well hidden except maybe anti animagus wards if those r a thing?
also yes!!! i think sirius should be allowed to be angry and disappointed more often. he should be spitting mad about the fact that not only did remus not care a lick about harry, he also gave up so easily on sirius. i think he should be allowed that space.

Okay this isn't really any of the kinds of AU you mentioned in your post, but I did a vague ideas for a sci-fi AU/retelling of BotW
I think it would be interesting to explore a relationship between Link and Revali in that context because the obvious sci-fi equivalent of the Champions' spirits would be some kind of brain-upload/AI copy situation. You could have some interesting themes of identity and consciousness with the contrast between Link (physically the same person he was 100 years ago, but lacking all memories) and AI!Revali (has all of the memories and personality of the original, but physically just a virtual copy of him). They could both be having their own identity crises coming from basically opposite directions, and help each other through it.
It's especially interesting seeing as one of Revali's defining characteristics is pride in his accomplishments. If he believes that they're different people, a huge part of his personal identity and how he thinks of himself just doesn't apply even since even though he's psychologically identical to the original, he didn't achieve any of the OG's accomplishments. At the same time, believing that he's a separate individual would to some extent free him from the guilt of failing against the calamity in the first place since it wasn't "him" who died, so it might be tempting to think of himself like that regardless. You could have some really interesting inner turmoil of pride and guilt and shame and identity.
Also Revali being an AI instead of a ghost has the obvious happy ending of him being transferred to a robot/cyborg body to be with Link instead of passing on to the afterlife or a Deus Ex Machina resurrection like what would happen in pretty much any other version of this story where Revali's dead.
YOOOOOO THANK YOU FOR SENDING SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!
I actually yelled when I read this because I’ve had an au similar to this for like a few years now floating around in my head but it’s a pre-calamity sci-fi au, basically it’s if totk never happened (bc I came up with this before totk and it would make more sense if it hadn’t happened in this universe) and it’s the next Calamity in the cycle- like there was the first calamity 10,000 years before botw, then botw, and now it’s the next calamity 10,000 years after botw ( I’ve been calling it the 10,000 years in the future au)
But in my au I only have the pre-calam worked out and was kinda stuck on what botw would be like in a futuristic hyrule but you seem to have it figured out 😭
but it’s not a retelling of botw it’s the next re-sealing of ganon in the cycle, so things would be different, like botw characters are the ancestors of 10,000 yitf Link, Zelda etc
Zelda and sci-fi are like my two favorite things and i jump for joy when people combine them!! The contract between Link and Revali in this au is almost perfect because, like you said, they are opposites in the sense that Link’s physically the same and Revali is mentally the same but they are each lacking what the other has ( links memories and revalis “body” in a way) but it’s cool to think about what you said about AI!Revali being a virtual copy is a good and bad thing for him, good in the sense that it’s wasn’t “him” who died and failed, but bad because it wasn’t “him” who accomplished greatness either. But it’s funny to think how it’s once again sort of the opposite for Link, because since he still exists physically it was “him” that died in the end and ultimately “failed” hyrule.
It’s good for the two of them because they sort of meet halfway and would be able help and learn from one another. AI!Revali makes me giggle so much because imagine how insufferable he would be like- “intelligence is in the name” and of course he would be put into some sort of body at the end that is a must ☝️☝️
Thanks again for sending this it was so fun to think aboutttt and I would love love love to hear more about it
Maybe I’ll draw something for this later if that’s ok with you bc sci-fi loz has been running rampant in my head for YEARS

Word count - Six Thousand, One Hundred. (6100)
To Cherish These Moments - Chapter Three (3) - The Most Important Lesson.
"Ok, are we all set?" Zelda asked as she straightened out the huge blanket under the tree. "Is everything here?"
"Zeldaaaaaa." Tulin drags out her name, seemingly tired of hearing the same questions for the dozenth time this morning. "Everything will be fine; the plan is all set."
This morning, before Riju and Link had awoken, Tulin warped in to help Zelda and Buliara set up the area where the Sages would be having their picnic. With the extra Hearty Radishes, she was able to double the amount of Hearty Soup she could make. For the past few mornings, the people of Hateno Village have gifted her some extra food when they learned of her return, increasing the already huge amount she had in her storage.
She asked Buliara, who had been with the other region representatives an hour prior at the Landing to prepare for more paperwork, if they were busy or had eaten yet. Buliara confirmed they were not and had actually told them to hold off on breakfast for the time being, stating that there's a shortage on supplies at the Lookout. She even bribed the cooks ahead of time to do so, promising to help later on to prep dinner to make up for it.
That was something Zelda always loved about Hyrule and its people. It was the sense of community and familial ties, by blood or not, they had with each other. The cooks holding off breakfast and the extra foods brought in—some already cooked—meant she could invite the representatives too for the picnic. Perfect.
"I apologise. I sound like my father." She frowns. It was the last thing she wanted to do.
"I remember you saying he was a strict man. I cannot imagine that he didn't do anything without the consideration of Hyrule and its people, surely?" Buliara offers some comfort.
"I cannot disagree that Hyrule and its people were always at the forefront of his duties and mind. But most times, I felt like he used it as a sort of excuse to not listen to me. I know what he would have said if he knew that I was doing this." When her two (2) friends tilted their heads as a sign for her to continue, she did her best to mimic her father's deep voice and say it in an unamused voice. "Even if Ganondorf is gone for now, we can't just sit here and forget our duty as Sages." She then turns to them with a harsh stare, one (1) that she can perfectly mimic after seeing it far too many times than she cared to remember. "But I think none of you are aware of that."
"Damn Zelda. Chill." Tulin tried to reply back nonchalantly. The slightly raised feathers show that she had the intended effect that her father always looked for. She hated herself for it when she heard his voice confirm it.
"I apologise. That was just how he was. I vow I will never be like that with anyone. There are more options I am willing to explore than he had. Unlike him, I chose to study various topics and skills that I have found useful many a time."
She couldn't bring herself to continue with him being the main topic of the conversation, so she quickly changed it and was grateful for them catching on.
"Ok, once more for the plan." Zelda starts, mainly for herself, as she is steeling her nerves to pull it off. "I will return to the Landing. Tulin and Buliara are staying here to guard the food. Riju and Link should already have warped in by the time I get there. The others should already be there by now, and I will simply ask them to join me for a stroll."
Buliara and Tulin simply look at each other, the Rito giving the Gerudo a smile of excitement as the latter shrugs and smiles back. They've been hearing this all morning, though it's understandable why. It is something that has always had Zelda become a bundle of nerves, always making sure that her friends get nothing but the best of care and appreciation. The days passed by them so fast, gone in a blink of an eye. Now the remaining hour is crawling slower than a snail making its way towards Zora's Domain from Rito Village, with all the slippery slopes and climbing in between.
Zelda had already executed one (1) part of her plan the night prior. Due to the fact that the Shiekah were warping to Kakariko Village first thing in the morning, she managed to sneak into their rooms. Zelda thanked her luck that they were currently investigating a possible ruin that fell from the sky and were gone long enough to place extra boxes in their luggage. All labelled with their names. Their favourite desserts. Zelda already knew what her childhood friends favourites were; when she was still a child learning from Urbosa, she went out of her way to find Impa and Purah's father to ask.
The answer is Pumpkin Pie for Impa and Wildberry Crêpe for Purah. Josha would eat anything fruity, so a fruit pie would be perfect for her. The more difficult person to bake for was, surprisingly, Robbie. Despite him and Purah being joined at the hip before the Calamity, and even now, after finally reuniting after it, Zelda has never actually seen him eat anything sweet. She had to bite the bullet and ask his son, Granté (or Grantéson if you were to meet him in Tarrey Town), and found that his father's favourite dessert was simply Plain Crêpes. He would simply add anything to them if he had a craving for it. So for his box, Plain Crêpes with smaller boxes containing fruits and sweets along with a small container of honey.
With the hardest objective out of the way, now is the time to invite the others. Zelda carefully raises a hand, placing it where her hand aligns with the horizon in her line of sight.
"Uh, Zelda, what are you doing?" Tulin asks, confused as he watches Zelda join her pinkie and thumb together, and repeats once more. "Is the sun blinding you or something? You could just look away."
"What time did the sun start to rise this morning?" Zelda simply asks, with the answer being that it started at six a.m. (6 a.m./0600 hrs). She finally answered, "Link taught me this trick before the Calamity, and reminded me not too long ago about how one (1) could tell the time without the use of a clock. So long as you know what the width of your fingers represents—it could be five (5), ten (10) or fifteen (15) minutes for the sun to reach the top of the width from the horizon—then you should be able to tell how much time has past and what's left in the day."
"Eh?" Was all Tulin could reply with as he raised a wing to mimic Zelda. "Or you could just ask me; I have my Purah Pad right here."
"It's an old trick we learn in basic training," Buliara adds. "Warriors and travellers would use this method to estimate the time of day at that moment. It's actually an important skill to learn when in the wild. It's also used to figure out how much daylight is left in the day as well."
"My fingers represent ten (10) minutes. So it took eighteen (18) fingers from the horizon to reach the sun, which means three (3) hours have passed by, so it must be....nine am (9 a.m./0900 hrs)?" The Princess guessed, turning to Tulin as he took out the Purah Pad and all but jumped in excitement. "Judging by your reaction, I am correct!"
"How'd you do that?! I want to be able to do that too!!" He started flying around her, creating a small updraft that nearly messed up her hair. "Would I be able to do so as well? How would I be able to know how much sunlight is left if the sun is still rising?"
Zelda laughed; she was glad that something as simple as being able to tell what the time is out in the wild is something that people still want to learn.
"I will happily teach you while the Princess invites the others here. I promise you, it really is that simple." Buliara offers, relieving Zelda of the worry of possibly being rude by leaving him hanging for another day. "The day is still young, and I am confident that you will learn it quickly."
With that, Zelda took that as her cue to trek back to Lookout Landing. Rather than warping, she decided to just walk all the way back to give the young Rito the chance to learn a new skill. It didn't take too long—about thirty (30) minutes at most. She jumped when Link and Riju warped in front of the tower as she was passing by it.
"Link, Riju, good morning!" She greets them. "I believe your stay in Rito Village went well?"
"It never fails to amaze me at how the Rito are able to put up with the cold." Riju answers, shaking off the last of the cold as she adjusts the sleeve of the tunic she was gifted months prior after outgrowing her old set. "The soup was just delightful as well. Saki is an amazing cook!"
"Yeah, I always make a point of visiting them whenever I'm in the area." Link adds in. He raises his fists in front of him as he proclaims, "The soup is to die for. And the skewered Sizzlefin Trout. Man, I didn't know you could have that with some spicy peppers. The cold was nothing after I had that."
"Hopefully you had some BEFORE shield surfing down that mountain?" Zelda teased with a cheeky smile, revelling in the stunned expressions of her companions. "That's right, Patricia brought back Yona's letter too."
She laughed as the two (2) began to make excuses before arguing, in all good fun, about who won that race. But judging by the letter they received, it ended in a draw. It was nice to see her friends safe and well. She took the moment to observe what her friends were wearing.
Link wore his snow boots, Snowquill Trousers, Tunic of the Wild (as he dubs it after finding it in the Forgotten Temple during the Calamity), and his Hylian Hood. The tunic showed the minor scratches on his arm from when he fell.
Riju was wearing her full Snowquill Set, consisting of a pair of trousers, a tunic, and a headdress, along with snow boots. The only injury Zelda could see was a barely visible scratch on her cheek. She had four (4) new braids added to her usual hairstyle. Done all the same way, but each of them has a unique look to it as well. Zelda recognizes who did each of them, as they all had feathers at the end of them.
The two (2) near the front were done neatly and tightly. One (1) had a long, white feather with a black tip. Teba. The other has a long, all-hot pink feather, Saki.
The back two (2) were not as neat, but still tightly done and showed some level of skill behind them. A smaller, white and grey feather accompanied it, Tulin. It was done a few days ago, but Zelda was happy to see how well it's holding up.
The final braid was more well done, but not quite on the same level as Teba and Saki, a hawk feather neatly tied to the end, Link.
His was more unique because while the Rito clipped their feathers into the braids, Link used randomly found feathers. He carefully preserves them in order to give them to each of his companions whenever he does this Rito tradition.
The Champion fondly mentioned that he uses a feather of the bird he most associates with the person whose hair he's braiding. For Riju, he used a feather from a Peregrine Falcon. Majestic birds of prey known for their hunting skills, lightning-like speed, and the fact that the female Peregrine are known to be considerably larger than the males. Just like the Gerudo.
For Zelda, he used the feather of a Blue Jay. At first, she thought that it was because the royal family used the same shade of blue as their representative colour. She was shocked and blushed like mad when he added that it also represented the intelligence that accompanied beauty. She was blushing even now, remembering it.
She quickly pulled her thoughts back on track.
Tulin, despite having been pulled down with them, didn't sustain any injuries. His feathers prevented any risk of the cold affecting him as well. Zelda is thankful that neither of them seemed unwell, meaning they got to warmth quickly and the soup did its job.
Honestly, what is she going to do with them? A mental note was made to send some gifts to Saki and Yona as thanks for caring for her three (3) precious idiots. For now, the matter is at hand.
"Where's Queen Yona and Elder Teba anyway? Did they get here before you?"
"About an hour prior, yes." Riju answered. "I believe Queen Yona had mentioned that King Sidon and Muzu would also be here around now as well. She was going to meet them for breakfast before continuing with the paperwork."
"Unfortunately, there seems to be a shortage at the moment. Breakfast has been temporarily postponed." Zelda does her best to sound regretful. "I hope they aren't too hungry."
"Whaaat?!" Link groaned as he tilted backward, arms hanging from either side. "You gotta be kidding me."
"I told you it would have been better to have something back at the village." Riju elbowed his side playfully, dodging his swats of protest. "But nooo, you insisted we wait. Thank goodness I had that porridge this morning. Though I am hoping it won't be too long before they are cooking again, I didn't have much."
"Patricia is in the office. Karin asked me to pass along her message. 'Thanks for letting me brush Patricia. She was well behaved, as expected from the best Sand Seal in the world, and she has a load of pretty ribbons in too.'" Zelda relays. "Buliara is with Tulin on patrol at the moment. I was thinking that we would all have a stroll before we deal with more work. Wake up a little?"
"That does sound lovely." The Gerudo agreed. "Some fresh air before working does wonders. I'll see you at the office then."
With that, she leaves Link and Zelda at the tower's entrance, eager to meet with her best friend again as well as change back into her usual attire.
"Doesn't suspect a thing. You pulled that off like a pro, Zelda." Link proudly says, tilting to the side enough to be in front of her with his arms folded, a lopsided grin on his tilted face. "Who knew the Princess of Hyrule could fib so easily?"
"Oh, hush you, my heart is still beating fast from that alone." She'scolded' him, nudging him and causing him to hop back onto two (2) feet again. "Sidon told the same story, I hope?"
"Just like we practiced. But I wasn't lying when I said that I am not happy with the shortage of food here." He crosses his arms with a pout. "I could have sworn we brought some in the other day."
"We did. Buliara told the cooks to say that so the others wouldn't eat till we got to the spot." Zelda laughed at Link's betrayed face as she added with a raised brow and cheeky grin. "Must be part of your punishment for getting yourselves hurt yesterday while shield surfing."
The colour drains from his face, knowing the ruthless regime that awaited them, having now confirmed that Yona did indeed tell Zelda and Buliara everything that happened. Well, at least Riju and Tulin are going down with him. He never was one (1) to go down without dragging his opponents down with him after all.
They both proceeded to make their way into the office, and as Zelda suspected, the Shiekah were already gone. Sidon gave her his signature shining smile upon spotting her as they all greeted her. It seems everyone bought the story of a delayed breakfast but was eager for the morning walk. Muzu's protests must have died in his throat, because he noticed how quickly everyone was getting ready to enjoy their last bit of freedom of the day. Zelda nearly tripped when he smiled!! Retirement must be working its charm on the stubborn old Zora. He insisted on helping one (1) last time as a way to phase into it; who was she to say no?
With that, they finally began their trek. Stories were shared about times before and during the Upheaval. Yunobo tried to do his best "Jerk Yunobo" impression from Offrak and Slergo's description. The latter mimicked as best as they could, making the group laugh.
"So what did we learn from that?" Teba asked the Goron President in his fatherly way.
"Not to eat the strange rocks or wear strange masks without double checking first, goro." Yunobo sheepishly answers, scratching the back of his head. "To be fair, I really did think it was Zelda at the time!"
Zelda did her best to hide her guilt. Many of her friends here fell for Ganon's Puppet and she wasn't here to stop any of it.
"From now on, whenever I have to do any sort of item or order giving, I will give out a specific phrase or code word, different for all of you and will change on a daily basis if need be. Will that work out for everyone?"
They all agreed and added that the leaders of each region would be doing the same. It will make finding any impersonators a lot easier too, what with the Yiga lurking around more brazenly now. Though a simple banana would always do the trick.
"Riju would be difficult to mimic!" Sidon proclaims. "Lady Patricia here would be able to tell before she even entered the room."
The sand seal in question hops into the air in confirmation of it. Sticking her chest out and back fin hitting the ground with a mighty bark. It was common knowledge that she would easily headbutt her opponents through walls and would do it again without hesitation.
"Also the fact she can't stand the cold." Yona adds in. "No offense, Chief Riju."
"Just Riju is fine, your Majesty. We are here as friends, after all. And none taken." Riju laughed. "All it takes for me to confirm it's really you two (2) is your healing abilities and King Sidon's smile."
"Thank goodness. No lightning." Sidon sighs with relief, dramatically placing his hand over his chest. "And you can still just call me 'Sidon' like normal. We're not at our thrones after all, so there's no need for formalities here."
"Oh good, because now I can say this: if you take my Sizzlefin fish again, lightning will be the least of your worries." Riju warned, lightning glinting in her eyes.
"IT WAS ACCIDENTAL, I SWEAR!"
Riju couldn't help but drop her serious act to laugh at her fellow Sage's dismay. That laugh was soon cut short by the Zora King grabbing her leg and back before swiftly lifting her over his head with ease.
"There! I'm sure you'll make a satisfactory cover." He laughed.
"Jokes on you; that's only if I have the Thunder Helm. Regardless, I WILL take you down with me!" Riju declared, flailing her remaining limbs.
Sidon gave her his signature Shining Smile. "Then I'm afraid you're out of luck; I believe the Gerudo are taught to always protect their loved ones. Especially their husbands. Zora do the same, you know."
"I'm a healer, not a fighter. But if I must, I'll avenge you by taking down this little Electric Eel." Yona chimes in. "All I have to do is tell Buliara."
"No!! Please, no, I still haven't gotten to have a Noble Pursuit. The real Noble Pursuit not the kid version!!"
"A defeat with only one (1) sentence. You're most definitely a fearsome foe, my love." The Zora King applauded, allowing the young Chief to sit on his shoulder, she slumps onto his head in defeat.
"I may have to tell Buliara about you too, dear husband. Using a lady as a lightning shield Foreshame!!" The Zora Queen mockingly proclaimed. "Whatever will the children think when they see the king do such a thing."
Offrak and Slergo, who were rolling nearby, stopped with a look of utter awe and missed half the interaction as it was.
"The Gerudo are lightning-proof?!"
Thus begins a brief lesson on the Thunder Helm and no, the Gerudo aren't lightning proof.
The closer they got to the picnic spot, the more nervous Zelda was becoming. Did she pack enough food? Was the soup going to be to everyone's liking? Please let the Chu Chu Jellies be in one (1) piece and not destroy the food! A hand found its way to her wrist, looking up to find Link, ever her trusted companion and housemate, smiling warmly at her. They were leading the pack, so his hands were hidden.
'They are going to love this, Zel. Please do not worry.' He signs.
'I know. But this was Sidon's idea. Not mine.' Zelda signs back. 'I cannot take any of the credit here.'
'Yes, it was his idea.' Before Zelda could be upset, he adds. 'But you did all the cooking for us. Sidon and Tulin agree that you took on the most important task of this picnic. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.'
'Thank you, Link.'
She truly meant it. Her friends were always able to open up and share opinions freely with each other. She wouldn't be shunned should something go wrong.
It was a beautiful day that was growing warmer by the minute, and Zelda didn't question if it was due to the sun rising higher into the air or the presence of her friends.
When they finally reached the spot, Zelda could not help but be nervous when they made noises of curiosity and confusion. Tulin, standing on Buliara's shoulder with one (1) talon as the other stuck out to the side, wings also to one (1) side as he does a presenting pose.
"Welcome all to our awesome picnic in the most awesome spot that was ever found!! We hope that you all enjoy your time here and enjoy the delicious food that awaits you." He calls out confidently as he adds a well-balanced one (1) legged bow at the end, his other just hanging off to the side as he stood too close to the shoulder edge, reminding Link and Zelda so much of Revali and his bravado when showing off his skills.
When Zelda slowly turned to see their reaction, she was relieved to see all eyes had stars in them. Their smiles at this pleasant event and their excitement at the site of the food displayed before them.
"Zelda, what's all this about, goro?" Yunobo couldn't help but ask as he giddily jumped in place a little.
"The presentation of the food is just outstanding." They were surprised to hear Muzu say. "The smell is just exquisite."
Zelda beamed with pride. Confirming that it was thanks to those involved in planning that she was able to pull it off, it was Sidon's idea while Tulin found the perfect spot.
"Buliara. I know I requested that you guard Zelda. But I suspect you also played a part in this?" Riju leaned forward with a loving smile at her guardian. "Fess up, what did you do?"
"Hehe, always the observant Vai, Lady Riju. I may or may not have told the cooks to hold off on cooking food until you all left." Buliara chuckles. "I will help with cooking dinner in return."
"I must say, the excuse of a food shortage was clever. I'm glad dear Sidon convinced us all to have a light breakfast and to stay." The Zora Queen praised.
Buliara lifts her arm up and nabbed the back of Tulin's vest as she made him face her, a mischievous grin as she replies, "That's just a part of the punishment I have in store for a certain trio. I expect them to enjoy today while they have the chance because in two (2) days, laps will be run with extra heavy rucksacks."
"We will have them up and ready first thing in the morning, then." Saki happily replies. "Better than having them clear the village of the snow, not much since the storm stopped."
Tulin gave Buliara a nervous laugh as Riju, placed back onto the ground by Sidon, and Link hid behind said Zora, Sidon proclaiming: "I'm not going to be part of that. Sorry Riju." He then proceeds to hide behind her instead, keeping her struggling form in place as a shield in mock fear.
"Well. I hope you all enjoy the meal. The main thing I'm excited for you all to try is the starter. Hearty Soup." Zelda announced. "I wanted to express my gratitude for so long. You have all done so much for our homes. Fought many battles and got many scars. I know it's not much; I wish it were more, but I hope that the meals I have prepared will show just that. There's plenty to be had for everyone, so please take as much as you want."
They all cheered, thanking Zelda with hugs, pats on the back, and handshakes as they all made their way to the food table. Zelda also made sure they praised Sidon and Tulin for the idea and location, as well as Link for ensuring it was safe. Link blushes, saying that he was only doing his duty as Hyrule's Champion and Zelda's bodyguard. She shushes him; he is now a hero and a member of everyone's family, even to the Gerudo, a super rare occurrence! So they too will make sure that they show how much they care for him in appreciation as such.
The afternoon went swimmingly. Tulin got to show off his new skill; his feathered fingers represent thirty (30) minutes. Offrak and Slergo used a tilted boulder to roll off of it as fast as they could and into the lake. When the group expressed concern about it, Yunobo confirmed that while Goron can't swim due to their anatomy and literally being half rock, they can actually hold their breath for a very, very long time. Days if need be, allowing them plenty of time to plan ways to navigate out of the water. Sidon and Yona made sure to have him give them common trading routes so the Zora could patrol the lakes and rivers just to be safe, much to the delight and relief of the Goron President. Muzu also had to be reminded that he was retired now, so he will have to start enjoying it and will continue to do so after the paperwork is finally over, as ordered by the new King and Queen of the Zora!!
Buliara sat cross-legged next to Riju, enjoying the tale from the Young Chief about her time in Rito Village, what she learned, and how she couldn't wait for the rematch with Link on shield surfing. She met a teacher Link met on his travels who was willing to teach her and Link properly not long after their incident. Riju accepted her punishment elegantly....Being Chief of the Gerudo meant nothing over her guardians authority at this point. Riju got to enjoy hearing about how Karin knew more about the Gerudo than she let on, knowing of the traveling merchant and how Patricia got to reunite with Rhondson. She can't wait to see her again too and tell her and Hudson of Maddison's great progress. Maybe she'll allow the young girl to accompany her. She did make a new rule to allow the Gerudo to leave town to visit their Voe relatives on a regular basis, something that greatly improved morale. It was something she never got to do, hence why she decided to implement it.
Riju was then nudged by Tulin to show off what he learned from Buliara. Riju joined him in guessing the current time. They then joined Link and Sidon for a mock battle for the Chu Jelly. Buliara won by sneaking it onto her plate, and she was on her final bite by the time they noticed. She relished the look on their faces when they realised they could have done the same thing.
Teba gave them a soft look, and Saki placed a comforting wing on his shoulder. Tulin sure was growing up fast, now with the responsibilities of being a Sage on top of it. But it was nice to see he wasn't alone on that journey. The Rito parents certainly weren't going to forget their struggles against Vah Medoh any time soon, but the comfort of not being alone in this story remains strong.
The morning and afternoon were amazing. It has been so long since Zelda has been able to freely laugh and joke around. With bellies full and energy restored to full capacity, Zelda decided that maybe work could wait another day. She herself admits that she is far too relaxed now to do anything. She was now destined to join those who had succumbed to a food coma under some shade or quietly talk amongst themselves.
"Something on your mind?"
"Link?!" Zelda squeaked out. "My apologies. Did you say something?"
"No, I just noticed that you look a little sad, is all." The Champion replied with a shrug. He looked towards the others before softly adding, "I miss them too, the moments before the Calamity."
Zelda hadn't noticed the silent tears running down her cheeks. She did her best to keep a smile, but she failed to realise her eyes were indeed the windows to her heart and soul's true feelings.
"How did you learn to accept it?" She asked quietly so as not to disturb the others by making it seem like she casually turned to look at the lake behind her. When Link looked at her, the Princess added, "How did you accept their passing? To accept that everyone is just....gone."
"I didn't. There are even days where I still don't." Link confesses. "When I had no memories after waking up in the Shrine of Resurrection, everything was new to me. The area, the people, the history.
Little did I know that I was actually right. Everything and everyone was new to me. When my memories came back during my mission, it just....hurt. So much. I would remember when Mipha would heal my wounds and us swimming at Zora's Domain. Daruk and I having a Rock Roast after racing down Death Mountain. Urbosa being the mother I had long needed and her advice. Heck, even Revali's cocky attitude and how we would just challenge each other on every mission with just a look in our eyes.
And that's the funny thing. After I freed Vah Medoh, Revali said something that stuck with me. He was worried about how he would be remembered. If his efforts were worth the sacrifices he made for Hyrule, we were the same age, and yet I got to see the fruits of those efforts."
Link to a moment to compose himself as he stares at the sparkles in the lake water. Zelda was stunned; this was the most he had ever spoken in such a long time. It was to relate to her in such a deep bond about their shared traumas. He had such a sad smile when he spoke again.
"That shrine. It was both a blessing and a curse. It saved me the pain that came from many painful memories, but it also robbed me of my most cherished ones. I had to...rebuild myself with baby steps. I felt to free when talking to new people and helping around Hyrule."
"Until I called you back for your forgotten mission." Zelda adds on in a whisper. "The moment I sensed your awakening, I called you back to a mission you were still too weak to do."
"You also allowed me that freedom. You allowed me to say my goodbyes."
"Huh?"
He was looking at her now. The same sad smile, but more.... relieved?
"I was able to free the other Champions spirits. I allowed them to fulfill their promises made to you. To their families and friends. To each other. They got to see that their people were still going strong. To know that their efforts were not in vain.
I got to renew those bonds with those still here and heal their hurt as well as my own. We got to say goodbye to them, Zelda.
What you're feeling now is how I felt. Awoken from such a long slumber from what you knew. To the people who cared about you, gone, just like that in an effort to stop a tyrant. Even as a dragon, you still fought. You never fully lost yourself because your spirit didn't allow that to happen. The love of those we lost and still have is your armour as you move forward.
We lost them, but we never lost their love. We got to say goodbye, even if it wasn't directly to them."
Zelda could hide the tears now, even if she wanted to. He was right. The Calamity, the full one hundred (100) years, she never felt truly alone. The Champions were with her despite having fallen within their respective Divine Beasts. Link's warmth grew as their bond grew after Calamity's defeat.
Rauru, Sonia, Mineru, and the Sages. They did exactly what Link described before her Draconification. Sonia's warmth and Rauru's confidence in her. The Sage's trust in her. Mineru has even gone far beyond time with Zelda within the Purah Pad. Determined to rejoin the fight one (1) last time. She confirmed before passing on that Sonia and Rauru were so proud of her, filling in the details when they reunited once more.
"You're right. In small ways, since this all began, we got to say our goodbyes and fulfill this long mission. This journey to grow as individuals, scars, warts, and all." The Royal Sage of Time turned to those behind her. All seemingly at peace with all that had happened during those long months since the castle rose into the air. "And now, we get to start anew on this chapter of our lives. Calamity. Ganondorf. He is gone. Hopefully for good, but if not, I know the people of Hyrule are safe in their capable hands."
They stood to join the group behind them. Zelda stops halfway to get a better look at everyone as Link takes notice a few steps ahead. With a growing smile, she says,
"After all that has happened, there is certainly something we should always remember to do during peaceful times."
"What's that?" Link asked with an understanding smile, knowing she came to the same conclusion he had come to years ago.
She closed her eyes. Memories of her happiest moments throughout her life appeared. Her friends—no, her family—protect her. The hearty meals she had with the Champions, the meals she had with her ancestors. Experiments she got to try with Mineru, lessons with Rauru and Sonia, learning about her fellow Sage's ancestors that she will pass onto. Just happy moments that outshine the growing shadow that Ganondorf brought upon them. Here she stands amongst the lights. Not the light of the goddess, but of the love and warmth of being surrounded by those who love her just as much as she loves them.
"That, despite everything Hyrule endured, no matter what, we must always remember to do one (1) thing."
Everyone heard her and turned to look at the princess, who happily finished her sentence in a warm, genuine tone.
"Nothing ever stays the same. Nothing, nor will anyone, be around forever. The past can't be changed; we've seen that now. The future can be, though. For now, all that matters is the present. What is the lesson we must remember from all of this?
Is to always cherish these moments."

wow what a cool and awesome person...
FUCKING 14 YOU ARE A CHILD MY GOOD SIR??? /LH
1: YOOOOOO YOU THINK IM A COOL AND AWESOME PERSON?? THANKS MAN :DD and 2: LMAOOOOOO YEA I AM!! I've been on here since I was like, 11-ish? not sure. my friend introduced me to tumblr during the beginning of my 7th grade year! (and fun fact: that same friend is both my mutual and the person that gave me my nickname actually!! which turned into my url ^_^)
anyway, I'm going to rant underneath your ask about being a child now im so sorry 😔
It's always been so weird being as young as I am both on tumblr and in the fandom space I'm currently a part of. Like realistically, a 14 y/o boy liking minecraft/mcyt sounds really normal but I don't know anyone my age that is open about being a part of this space. I think growing up on tumblr instead or twitter or tiktok honestly really helped when it comes to being happy in my intrests, since almost every other freshman to ever exist has no idea what this website is and they have no chance of ever finding my posts to make fun of me with them. I still use the other two, but I don't post and I only really open them when a cc like Charlie or Ted posts.
It's hilarious to me that because of my current intrests (jrwi and charlie in general) almost everyone that I'm friends with on here are much older minors or adults, mainly because charlie has a pretty mature and well rounded audience (THANK FUCKING GOD 🙏🙏), but also because everybody else my age that are in this fandom are on tiktok. Using tiktok for me and actually posting is kinda unsafe because of the way the tiktok contact sharing works? if someone from my classes finds it through "recommend accounts" then they can look through my account and harrass me if they recognize who it is. Not to steal a Charlie Slimecicle quote for a second, but I was rewatching an old podcast episode from the very beginning of 2020 and he described it as "elevated highschool" which I 100% agree with. Even 3 years later it's still very much just a higher form of highschool bullshit to have to deal with.
But since I don't post on tiktok I don't really have much to worry about!! My account is blank and it's the same @ as my url so nobody should recognize it and put a face to a name which im grateful for. However, being on tumblr isn't the greatest either;
People on here are all adults and I feel a little bit intimidated? In a sense? I understand that I'm a LOT different than most kids my age and I don't typically have anything to worry about but!! I feel like that's what makes it worse. The other people my age that were or still are on here don't understand tumblr etiquette, don't understand not to act like this is twitter and not have stupid cubito discourse, or just aren't funny? Idk I've just never found anyone my age (with the exception of like 3 of my mutuals you guys are amazing and I love you) that I can really talk to on here, so all of the friends I've made are much much older. I'm smart with who I talk to and how I talk to them so I'm safe don't worry!! My parents raised me right and online safety is such a wonderful thing, but one of my closest mutuals on here is in college right now, and the others are juniors or seniors in highschool. I kept my age out of my bio for so long but honestly that was because I was terrified I would scare away the people that I trusted so much because literally obviously it's going to feel weird for them to be mutuals with a genuine honest to god child. I'm relatively close to turning 15 so I'm getting less and less worried about stuff like that happening but eh that was still a real fear for a while.
Anyway sorry for the rant!! TLDR; highschool sucks, I'm scared of being this young on a platform and fandom full of adults and I have to be extra careful, and also charlie slimecicle is a pretty cool guy to look up to so I feel like him being [vine boom sound effect] my COMFORT STREAMER kinda works out in my favor ngl :D

ooh, for a prompt how about a role swap with ortega and hawthorn? ortega as the villain and hawthorn as the hero.
so, this prompt has been sitting in my inbox for a Very Long Time, and i don't even know if anyone who follows me still cares about fhr anymore, but, uh.... have Ortega being an unhinged villain with a side of angst and also hints of potential Thorn/Ortega/Steel~
Considering Overdrive all but invited him to his lair the last time they fought, Graves doesn’t think stealth is entirely necessary. However, if he didn't at least make an effort to be stealthy, Steel would be up his ass about it later. He was going to be regardless, because he makes it exceedingly clear whenever he can that he is not the biggest fan of the Rangers' "independent contractor's" more unorthodox methods. But, well...
Steel's not here, is he?
Hellebore goes in first for a reason, after all.
He slips along a rickety metal catwalk like the ghost the world knows him to be, the shadows clinging to his matte black armor. He keeps the glow of his eyes dimmed, and his padded metal feet make no sound on the battered steel.
Overdrive knows he’s there, regardless. “You’ve got such a presence, Hellebore,” he calls out. His modulated voice sounds pleased as it echoes in the open warehouse. “You never make a sound, but somehow I always know when you’re here...”
Graves rolls his eyes beneath his mask, but at least now he doesn’t have to expend the effort of hiding his presence. He does it anyway, because god forbid he makes it too easy on the bastard. His own voice is modulated, a low rasping purr, and it bounces from the dark corners and makes him impossible to track.
“How many times did you say that to an empty room before I actually got here?” he asks dryly.
Cheerfully, Overdrive answers, “Only twice, and I think that’s pretty impressive, honestly.”
“Is there anything about yourself that you don’t find impressive?”
“Oh, don’t pretend you don’t like the confidence,” Overdrive teases, strutting back and forth in the midst of whatever contraption he's working on like an oversized goddamned peacock.
Graves sighs. And then Overdrive oh-so casually kicks a switch on the ground, and the catwalk collapses beneath Graves’s feet.
He expects it the same as he expects any of Overdrive's little gimmicks. Which is to say, he never guesses the specifics, but he goes into any interaction with the villain expecting some sort of mischief. So the catwalk falls, and so does Graves, twisting around and lashing out with the segmented tail attached to his suit, catching on the broken-off railing. His suit absorbs most of the shock of the tail snapping straight with him hanging upside-down a good twenty feet off the oil-stained concrete floor, but it is still plugged directly into his spine to allow him to control it the same as any of his limbs, so it fucking hurts regardless.
He curls up into a midair crunch and grabs the broken railing, swinging off it like an expert gymnast and using the "borrowed" warehouse's assorted crates, broken machinery, and other detritus to make his way nimbly to the ground.
Overdrive slow-claps theatrically his entire descent.
“You should be proud of me,” the villain says when Graves lands, catlike, on the ground a few feet away. He seems entirely unconcerned that his little trap didn’t cause the vigilante any lasting damage. “I could have made a really bad joke, and I didn’t.”
“I am awed by your restraint,” Graves drawls. “Now, if you’re done with the obnoxious flirting, is there a reason you invited me here? If it’s the reason I think it is, I’m flattered, but you’re not my type.”
Overdrive laughs, but there is very little mirth to it. It’s harsh, and cracked, and something cold prickles under Graves’s skin. “I think I’m more your type than you’d care to admit,” he purrs, his tone dropping into something that would be sultry, if there wasn’t a strange air of melancholy to it.
Graves takes a step back, cocking his head and looking at the villain critically. His face isn’t showing, naturally. Only amateurs and heroes with more bravado than sense don’t cover their faces, obscure their identities from the public, from their enemies, and even from their friends and families. It’s a rookie mistake, if not a sure-fire way to get yourself or someone you care about killed.
Graves’s never had anyone he cared about enough to let them know who he is, and there’s no one alive who knows who he is. What he is.
Except—
No. Absolutely not. He only barely resists the urge to shake his head, to physically eject the unwelcome thoughts, and he masks the moment of weakness with a rough, annoyed sigh. “If you’re just going to be a pain in the ass, I’m leaving. I’m in no mood for games today.” He doesn’t wait for a reply, and though he has no illusions the asshole is going to just let him leave without some sort of smartass comment, or a fight, or a trap, he heads for the nearest exit.
“Oh, but you used to like when I teased you,” Overdrive purrs.
Icy claws dig into Graves’s spine and drag him to a sharp, shuddering halt. He doesn’t turn around. He can’t.
There’s an electric crackle behind him, the soft buzz of static. When Overdrive continues, his voice isn’t modulated to thwart possible vocal recognition. It’s soft and rumbling. Human. “Sure, you acted all huffy and annoyed. Rolled your eyes and sighed at me, but you always got this little wrinkle to your nose when you were trying not to smile...” It’s a familiar voice. One that Graves hasn’t heard in years.
One he didn’t think he’d ever hear again.
“I remember every one of the smiles I earned.” Overdrive is right behind him now, practically whispering in his ear. He almost jumps, but he feels paralyzed. He didn’t even hear footsteps, not over the ringing in his ears. “Like you never quite learned how.”
Frozen in place, he hears a click, and he can’t be sure how he knows, but he knows it’s the sound of Overdrive disengaging his face plate.
He knows, in the same way, who the face beneath belongs to.
“Look at me, Hawthorn,” Overdrive whispers, and his voice echoes hollowly somewhere behind Graves’s ribs, waking an ache he’s tried for a decade to bury. “Look at me,” Overdrive says again, louder, more desperate.
Graves doesn’t. He can’t.
A gloved hand curls around his arm, and he feels the tingle of ambient energy, a humming undercurrent, skitter across his skin beneath his armor. He jerks away as if burned.
Or electrocuted.
He never questioned the silence in Overdrive’s head. Every now and then, there is a villain with the combined technology and paranoia to protect their thoughts from being tampered with or spied on. Psychic dampeners don’t come cheap, and most don’t really think of telepathy as a common enough threat to warrant the expense. Overdrive was just eccentric, dramatic, and unhinged enough that the silence never gave the vigilante pause.
Maybe it should have. Maybe he should have questioned the fact that he couldn’t hear his thoughts, couldn’t push or influence, but he could somehow, against all odds, still anticipate his every move, fight with him like every step was choreographed, like he’d done it dozens of times before.
Maybe… maybe he didn’t want to question it.
Overdrive reaches for him again, and instead of words, a sharp cry rips its way out of his throat, and through his voice modulator it sounds raw and animalistic.
He runs, and he doesn’t look back. And Overdrive lets him go.
Steel finds him well over an hour later, when he finally stops running. Running from what? He wasn’t being chased. Not by anything tangible, anyway. Not by anything he can give a name.
He’s sitting on a rooftop, somewhere well above the noise and lights of the city below. He can see the bridge, but he can’t make his eyes focus on it as more than an abstract shape. His mask is cast aside on the concrete, its bared teeth glinting in the murky light of the sunset.
He doesn’t know where he dropped his comm. He had to have run for miles before he stopped.
“What happened?” Steel growls at him. Sharp. Accusing. Regretting that he sent Hellebore in alone, like he always does.
Graves doesn’t answer. His throat is too tight, his chest aches. His vision is swimming, painting Los Diablos in grim grey splattered messily with the colors of neon signs, lights, and twisting lines of flashy cars stuck in rush-hour traffic.
Steel approaches. Every heavy, clunking step makes Graves grit his teeth and dig his clawed gauntlets into his knees. He’s seconds away from prying off the carbon plating of his armor just to feel something that makes sense.
His every muscle is aware of the man behind him, quietly assessing him. Some things never change.
He can’t make sense of his own thoughts, much less Steel’s. His legs dangle against the side of the building. He feels like the wind could carry him away.
A heavy hand lands on his shoulder, and he nearly startles right off the edge.
Steel catches him, pulls him back, cursing roughly under his breath. “What happened, Hellebore?” he asks. He’s making a game effort to sound neutral. No, not neutral. Almost… gentle?
Nothing makes sense anymore.
Steel has to practically set him on his feet, turn him around to face him. Graves is about as responsive to his grip as a ragdoll. A robot with no orders.
When he manages to raise his heavy eyes to Steel’s face, he’s almost blinded by the genuine concern he sees there. In all fairness, he probably looks like shit. And they both know damn well he’d never willingly let anyone see him this way, this weak, especially not Steel.
The hands on his arms are broad, strong. They could crush him so easily. But they hold him steady as he finally manages to force himself to speak, to ask the question he’s never had the courage to before, because he thought he knew the answer.
“What happened to Ortega?”

The idea got popular so here it is, the twst boys’ prefered body type! Be sure to take this with a grain of salt however, these are just my opinions and headcanons. They would all still love you regadless of your appearance! TW for low key misogyny lmao, maybe even some feeding kink? Also implied female s/o, but not necessarily.
This also didn't quite turn out to be about body types but IDC I'M TIRED 😴
HEARTSLABYUL :
Riddle cares about your health to an obsessive degree and he will want you to be proportional in every sense of the word. He wants you to be the best version of yourself, therefore he won't allow you to be neither overweight or underweight. He'll spoon feed you himself if he must, your health really is top priority to him. He doesn't really have a preference due to this. He does have a soft spot for delicate hands and legs though.
Trey, oh God Trey, I'm sorry but the two of you are literally in your late teens/early twenties but y'all are gaining weight like an old married couple, it's so precious!! 😭😭 He really likes to spoil you with sweets and he has a hard time saying no to you, he just wants to spoil you, okay? 🥺 He says that he has no preference but that's a lie, he likes to see you gain more weight and become a bit more chubby over time. If he's in the mood he'll even squeeze your belly but he won't be mean about it! Softness is his weakness, especially if he was the cause.
Cater, I can see him going in several directions but rn I feel like being mean, he is SHALLOW lmao. He really wants you to look good for all of his photos and he'll guilt trip you if you don't work out and eat well. He'll join you sometimes, maybe! I also see him being into someone that's shorter than him, he really likes to look down at you because it's just so cute to him.
Ace - THIS BULLY, THIS AWFUL, MEAN BULLY!!! No matter what you do or how hard you try Ace will poke fun at you and he won't hold back. You're skinny? Wazzup twig, go eat something! You're bigger? YOOOOOO piggy, go take a nice long run, it could do you some favors! If you're a girl, if you have a flat chest? Boooo, you're not trying hard enough! Big chest? You little slut, you're in an all boys school, you ought to dress more appropriately! You're a guy and you're not built like a brick house? God damn you are WEAK, he could take you on right there and then! He's mean, mean, MEAN! In reality he is shallow too and he'd really like it if you were ✨sexy✨ but you're always cute to him. He just won't say it out loud though!
Deuce is not super picky in my opinion, but I think he'd really like it if you had some cake 😫🥴 He's a pervert that stares, and he'd love to grab your ass and just grope it!
SAVANACLAW :
Leona wants you to have a soft chest and not to be too bony. You'll be his personal body pillow and he really wants to use you, but he can't do that if your bones keep poking him. I also see him really liking nice and smooth skin, it just catches his eye.
Ruggie, grrrrrr he'd die if you were taller than him but that's quite sexy to him. Look down at him and tell him what to do, he's there to obey. Just don't push it too much, k?
Jack would be so happy if you were an athlete and a good amount of muscle on you. He has a lot of stamina and energy and he would love to go on long runs with you! He just loves to work out with you and I can't see him with a couch potato.
OCTAVINELLE :
I'm sorry but I feel like this entire dorm would be just straight up chubby cashers 😭 Azul would look at you and he would just !!!!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous, beautiful, let him touch you, please let him touch you!!! He's so handsy he cannot control himself even if his life was on the line.
The tweels? BULLIES, but not as bad as Ace. They'll tease you but they will stop at some point and then they suddenly switch to being really doting and sweet. They don't mean what they said, they just like to see you flustered!
SCARABIA :
Jamil - HIPS, HIPS MAKE HIM 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Hips, thick thighs !!!!!!! You could crush him and he might just thank you with the faintest of smiles on his face. He's blushing like mad but he wouldn't trade it for the world. He's also an ass man, don't @ me
Height is irrelevant to him
Kalim, precious baby. You're literally so beautiful to him regardless how you look. You could be wearing a trash bag and his heart would still burst with joy. He's the type of guy that will tell you look gorgeous in all of your outfits but you just want to hear some consecutive criticism 😭
POMEFIORE :
Vil and Rook are similar to Riddle. They want you to be the best version of yourself, but there is a certain shallowness from Vil's side. He's greedy and selfish, he wants to destroy you and build you from the ground up, you are his personal project that must be done perfectly. There will be no blemishes, those are ILLEGAL. Weight? He controls your diet strictly. Clothes? Exactly the same.
Epel on the other hand... Girly girl. Be cute, be helpless, BE SHORT, wear skirts, let him feel like a man god damn it. Big boobs would be nice to squish though ♥️
IGNIHYDE :
Idia has been spoiled by anime/games and if you don't look like that he'll bully you too. He'll force you to wear skimpy clothing when it's just the two of you, he doesn't care if you hate it, you will wear it. Maid costumes + CAT EARS, he's on the ground sCREAMING (feel free to remove that s! 😏)
The problem is, most people just do not look like generic fantasy babes and he's an incel because I said so, and by default that just makes him out to be a MASSIVE prick, ESPECIALLY if you're a girl. Everything you do to him is a tease, you are literally just breathing in the same air as him and in his head that must mean that you want to be with him. But yes, ideal body = BIG BOOBS, tiny waist, BIG hips, just imagine the most basic, typical anime babe.
DIASOMNIA :
Malleus, I also don't see him as someone that fawns over your body all too much, but I can imagine him really enjoying the warmth of your chest, bonus points if you have boobs. Size is irrelevant, he wants to SQUISH them. Your neck is also something he likes to fawn over, that pretty neck that he gets to nibble on like a snack every single night. I also think he'd really like eyes that are just soft, full of love and light. He's weak for your eyes man.
Lilia is incredibly versatile, he's seen it all and he loves it all, he loves you. Tall? Amazing. Short? Hehehe, he can bully you!~ Although, I see him fawning over someone that gets sick easily 😭🤣 Therefore, be a little skinny, very weak, let him take care of you 😔 He keeps you docile this way, and pampers you like doll. Probably dresses you in lolita style dresses.
Silver is a tough guy and I can see him fawning over a dainty, feminine, sweet little thing that just needs his help with everything. Kinghtly duties run in his blood, he's used to servicing people, but you are a special kind of enjoyment.
Sebek, ugh. He wants to be like Riddle and Vil but he sucks at it. In reality he doesn't care, he just doesn't want you to get sick or anything like that.

BnHA Chapter 311: Hand Gun
Previously on BnHA: Horikoshi was all “thinkin’ about dropping in some woke analogies of the very real and very presently relevant issue of racial profiling idk what do you guys think” and then shrugged and did it without waiting for an answer, and ngl it was a bit sudden, but I’m here for it. All Might was all “DEKU YOU NEED TO EAT” and Deku was all “OKAY” and took his hero bento and went to go stand dramatically on a tower in the rain whilst having some highly anticipated Vestige flashbacks. OFA II was all, “sup, I guess I’m not Kacchan... OR AM I,” and ngl I think he is?? Alternate universes anybody?? Hello??? But anyway, so OFA the First a.k.a. Yoichi was all “remember that time you guys rescued me from my evil brother and Two took my hand and we Had A Moment?”, and Two and Three were all “ahh yeah good times”, and it was very nice and very, very gay. The chapter ended with it being very unclear if Two and Three have actually lent their power to Deku yet or not lmao. Y’all need to get your shit together dudes.
Today on BnHA: Horikoshi is all “what if I gave a random bad guy a fucking tommy gun that shoots nails” and jesus christ calm down son. The Hawksquad, a.k.a. SQUAWK as per @hotchocolatier, are all “time to drive aimlessly around town acting like Deku has a restraining order on us because that’s literally the best plan to combat the League we could come up with,” and I have no further comment. Hawks is all “idk about you guys but I want to know more about AFO and Tomura’s whole deal” and I can’t remember the last time I identified so strongly with one of these characters. All Might is all, “[EXPLODES???]”, and the chapter ends with that mysterious hot girl from the Tartarus breakout being all “HELLO I CAN TURN INTO A GUN AND I LITERALLY DON’T GIVE A FUCK” and (1) WOW, and (2) IT’S TRUE, SHE CAN, AND SHE REALLY DOESN’T. GODDAMN.
(ETA: so this wholly escaped my notice on the first go, and also has nothing to do with the chapter itself, but I only just realized that this chapter was scanlated by a new group, TCB Scans. they actually did a very good job, and I’m curious if they’ve found a new RAW provider, because the quality this week is actually crazy good in comparison to what we’ve been dealing with for the past few months. I’m gonna have to get caught up on what exactly happened here lol.)
so what will it be this week? more Vestige antics? more of Sad Nomad Deku standing on buildings and pretending like he’s some cool aloof antihero, as if he could fool us when we all know his hero backpack is secretly stuffed full with his nerd diaries and the remnants of all the hero bentos that All Might keeps giving him?? or, just putting it out there, just a crazy thought, but you don’t suppose we might actually cut back to U.A.? mmm. side-eyes emoji
maaaaaan I’m starting to get tired of this trend of beginning chapters by dropping in on random power-tripping civilians and/or Shindou lol. just once can we get a chapter that opens with someone I actually give a fuck about
oh at least Endeavor is here
Tumblr media
A WHAT SUPPORT ITEM!??! HOLY SHIT DDLKJSLFKJL
lol somehow that’s more terrifying than bullets for me?? like I’m fully aware that bullets will fuck you up way worse and that in real life nail guns probably don’t work like this AT ALL and only have a range of like... hold up let me just google... up to 100 to 150 m/s and distances of up to 500m wait WHAT
okay wait. hold up. like I was expecting google to tell me nail guns only shoot a few feet at most, and instead the first search result is some CDC blog article that’s “dispelling” the “””myth””” -- please note my repeated sarcastic quotation marks -- that nail guns can fire 1400 feet per second, by explaining that actually they can fire anywhere from 315 ft/sec to 1,295 ft/sec, and that “it is in the pneumatic nail gun user’s best interest to handle these tools as if they were a firearm despite having a lower velocity” dlkjdslkjflkl
SO THAT SCENE IN IRON MAN 3 WHERE TONY RAIDS A HOME DEPOT AND BUYS A BUNCH OF RANDOM TOOLS AND SHIT AND GOES ON TO STAGE A ONE-MAN INVASION OF AN INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST’S FLORIDA MANSION HQ IS ACTUALLY TRUE. YOU’RE TELLING ME THAT THE FILM “HOME ALONE” IS ACTUALLY A DOCUMENTARY. “the Discovery Channel television program “Mythbusters” compared the penetration capacity of an airborne projectile shot from a pneumatic framing nail gun to that of a 9mm hand gun” HELLO YES AND A MERRY “WHAT THE FUCK” TO YOU AS WELL
anyway, so. there’s apparently a reason why the Number One hero, who can burn people with the intensity of a sun going supernova, is hiding here behind this concrete support column making frowny faces. nope. nuh uh. he ain’t about that. I don’t blame you buddy
so now he’s barrel rolling out of his hiding place and setting this dude THE FUCK ON FIRE because HELL NO. BAD ENOUGH I HAD TO WATCH THAT FUCKING MUSHROOM EPISODE LAST WEEK! YOU TAKE THAT SHIT SOMEWHERE ELSE
Tumblr media
LOL look at his face
Tumblr media
I know the context is actually him being all “I know I’m responsible for basically everything that happened and so that’s why I’m so grim and serious about this mission to set things right piece by piece,” but in my mind this pissed-off face is 100% all because this dude tried to shoot his eye out with a nail gun. look at that. you made him go full flame face again. beard and all. protecting his face so that it can hopefully melt any stray nails that get too close. nope nope nope
good lord. so what’s up next. let me guess the guy fighting Best Jeanist has like an atomic chainsaw or some shit
lol nope we’re just cutting back to Hawks and Jeanist chilling in the Jesla after they’ve wrapped things up
Jeanist has got some serious Groot energy you guys jesus christ he’s like 12 feet tall
Tumblr media
oh snap someone threw a pipe at him now
Tumblr media
today is just the chapter of Endeavor being assaulted by random DIY tools I guess
I mean, I get why they’re pissed at him obviously; I would be too lol. but tbh I also don’t really understand the “get out of here we don’t want your help” attitude that all of these people suddenly seem to have?? like it if were me, I would be fucking DEMANDING for him and the other heroes to be working round the clock to fix their stupid mess. I mean who else is gonna do it?? it’s their mess, I sure don’t want to be the one to clean it up instead. anyways but whatever lol
oh shit?
Tumblr media
so they haven’t dropped the whole “OFA secret potentially gets revealed to the world” thing yet after all. that makes sense I suppose, it did seem like that whole thing wound up playing out a bit too easily
anyway so yeah
Tumblr media
the locals are definitely none too happy. well at least Dabi’s got something to be cheerful about I guess
so now we’re cutting to the interior of the Jesla and they’re chitchatting about the current investigation
oh wow this actually makes a bit of sense now. so there was a reason they were keeping their distance from Deku
Tumblr media
please note that even in this abstract Endeavor’s-Mental-Image-Of-Him panel, Deku’s eyes still don’t have the light in them anymore :( my poor son
also ftr I still think using Deku as bait in this particular sense is the shittiest idea ever ngl. like sure, let’s let the sixteen-year-old run around battling miscellaneous escaped prison convicts while we stay several kilometers away ON PURPOSE despite the fact that you’re using him as bait to draw out the Big Bad, who just a reminder can destroy anything with a mere touch and who you were all basically helpless against. what exactly are you all planning to do if Tomura or one of the other League VIPs actually shows up to retrieve him?? are you even keeping tabs on him at all in real time?? jesus
(ETA: well that escalated quickly lol.)
Horikoshi is all of a sudden dropping whole pages of exposition here and I can’t be bothered to summarize this lol so just,
Tumblr media
a big fat YES to what Jeanist said, though. that’s why imo they would have been better off laying a trap at U.A. rather than just wandering around out in the open. I assume they’re trying to cut their potential losses because U.A. is full of students (and civilians), but those students also happen to be more capable than pretty much anyone else in the manga at this point. and tbh they’re already in life-threatening danger regardless of how things play out from here on, so they might as well at least try to use the few advantages they have right now. U.A. is almost certainly going to come under siege at some point anyway, so they might as well prepare for it
lol I don’t think I’m explaining this very well because I don’t have the patience right now to break it down point by point like it really ought to be, so for now I’ll just say that imo “U.A. siege” stands a good chance of being the eventual endgame even now, and so this whole “Deku runs around being bait” arc is really just killing time until then lol. like and subscribe for more rambling nonsensical takes such as this. maybe next time I’ll even put it all into one single sentence for maximum meandering senior citizen rant value
well it’s nice that they’re finally talking about all of this I guess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
we readers have known all of this for months now but this confirms the heroes are finally caught up. ALSO, Hawks is so fucking smart, as always. kinda wonder if things would have played out differently if All Might had let him in on the secret a bit earlier. probably that’s why Horikoshi made damn sure they didn’t find out until after the War arc lol
OH MY GOD YOOOOOO HAWKS OUT HERE ASKING THE REAL QUESTIONS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“anyone else wondering why AFO bothered to raise Tomura as his fake heir for fifteen years when he was secretly planning on taking over his body the whole time” YES, [raises hand] lmao Hawks where the hell were you when I was debating this “AFO is the final villain and Tomura is just his pawn” thing on multiple occasions over the past several years lol
lmao seeing them debate the metaphysics of OFA and all of its mystical bullshit is seriously surreal you guys
Tumblr media
JEANIST HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY META TAG I HAVE WRITTEN SO MANY ESSAYS. I ACTUALLY WAS PLANNING ON WRITING ANOTHER ESSAY ABOUT THE THING THAT I’M PRETTY SURE HAWKS IS ABOUT TO BRING UP, BUT I NEVER GOT AROUND TO IT WHOOPS, BUT MAYBE I WILL NOW LOL LET’S SEE HOW IT GOES
yes!!
Tumblr media
WHICH AFO FUCKING ENSURED HE WOULD BE BY LITERALLY PLANNING OUT EVERY LAST DETAIL OF HIS FAMILY TRAGEDY, FROM SECRETLY GIVING TENKO THE QUIRK TO MAKING SURE NO CIVILIANS OR HEROES WOULD HELP HIM UNTIL AFO FINALLY STEPPED IN. I’M 1000% CONVINCED THIS IS THE CASE YOU GUYS. NOT JUST BECAUSE I’M NOT A FAN OF “THE WORLD IS A FUNDAMENTALLY SHITTY PLACE, ACTUALLY” TAKES BECAUSE MISTER ROGERS TOLD ME TO ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE HELPERS, BUT ALSO BECAUSE IT LITERALLY JUST DOESN’T MAKE A LICK OF SENSE OTHERWISE. THEIR ENTIRE HOUSE CAVED IN FFS, YOU’RE TELLING ME NONE OF THE NEIGHBORS FUCKING OVERHEARD THAT SHIT AND WENT “UMMMMMMMMM” AND WENT TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON?? “DIDN’T THERE USED TO BE A HOUSE HERE, AND LIKE A WHOLE FAMILY, AND SHIT?”
LIKE I’M SORRY, BUT IT’S ONE THING TO SAY IT’S REALISTIC THAT NOT A SINGLE PERSON WOULD ATTEMPT TO HELP THE WANDERING TRAUMATIZED CHILD AFTERWARDS (WHICH I DISAGREE WITH AS WELL BUT AT LEAST THAT’S MORE SUBJECTIVE), AND IT’S A WHOLE OTHER THING TO ARGUE THAT IT’S REALISTIC THAT NO ONE WOULD BE FUCKING NOSY. LIKE THAT’S A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL OF “THAT’S NOT HOW ANY OF THIS WORKS” ENTIRELY LOL. anyway tl;dr AFO is a piece of shit and Tomura’s entire worldview is based on a magnificently intricate and savagely cruel lie more at 11
anyway so after all that ranting it looks like that wasn’t even what Hawks was talking about after all lol. I just went off for absolutely no reason lol oh well. instead it seems that Hawks is suggesting that Tomura’s carefully cultivated hatred might not yet have actually reached “can defeat OFA” levels even after all of that trauma. interesting!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
don’t mind me, I’m just sitting here while my brain furiously scrambles to put together all the parallels between Hawks and Tomura that it never noticed before until exactly this second. like I’m not even sure that was the intent here at all (I need to check out another translation or two lol), but regardless my mind decided that now would be the perfect time to make the connection between these two twenty-somethings who both had horrific childhoods and spent years being molded by their respective manipulative guardians, and developed eerily similar “laugh at everything because what else can you do” coping mechanisms to deal with it all hmmmmm
anyway so they were talking more about their strategy, but now all of a sudden Jeanist’s phone is beeping??
AND NOW WE’RE CUTTING AWAY TO ALL MIGHT AND HIS MIGHTMOBILE DAMMIT so that means the call to Jeanist was actually something important then!! WAS IT BAKUGOU OMG. DOES YOUR INTERN WANT A WORD FFFKLFSJK please it’s been so long I just need a little crumb or two to tide me over lmao have mercy
anyway so All Might’s following the GPS tracking device he’s apparently got planted on Deku (which in my conspiracy headcanons he’s actually had for a long time now, like since before DvK2 lol because HOW ELSE WOULD HAVE HAVE KNOWN THAT THEY WERE FIGHTING EACH OTHER IN GROUND BETA, PEOPLE) and thinking angsty thoughts about Deku’s sucky life
AND NOW ALL MIGHT’S PHONE IS RINGING TOO?? BAKUGOU HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE YOU CALLING. “WHERE ARE YOU HIDING THE NERD GODDAMMIT”
OMG
Tumblr media
lol is he under attack or is he just finally giving All Might the slip like we all know he SECRETLY PLANNED TO ALL ALONG oh my poor dumb angstmuffin
OMG AHHHHHHH WHAT
Tumblr media
DID ALL MIGHT JUST FUCKING DIE LMAO NO OF COURSE NOT, BUT WHAT
WHAT IS HAPPENING OMG
Tumblr media
THE FUCK IS THAT. AT LEAST IT’S NOT A NAIL
OH IT’S A SPEAKER!! OMG DID THEY TAKE ALL MIGHT HOSTAGE
Tumblr media
“THEY’RE HERE” WELP, TIME TO SEE JUST HOW SHITTY THIS SHITTY PLAN REALLY IS LOL
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Tumblr media
SHE!!!!
omg. AND OVERHAUL JUST CHILLING THERE IN THE BACKGROUND ALL “WHAT DO YOU EVEN WANT ME TO DO I’VE GOT NO FUCKING ARMS” YEAH GOOD RIDDANCE LOL
DOES THIS GIRL HAVE ONE GIANT LEG OR WHAT, LIKE WHAT’S THE DEAL HERE
-- HOLD UP WAIT, THE GUN IS HER ARM, HOLY SHIT SHE CAN TURN INTO A GUN -- OKAY HOLD UP BECAUSE I NEED TO SAY THAT IN BIGGER TEXT BECAUSE !!!!
YOU GUYS, THE COOL TARTARUS GIRL IS BACK AND HER QUIRK IS “CAN TURN INTO A FUCKING GUN.” THIS IS NOT A DRILL!! MY BEST GIRL MT. GUN IS FINALLY BACK ON THE SCENE WITH HER QUIRK “CAN DO ANYTHING A GUN CAN DO.” “I HEARD Y’ALL WENT AND NAMED ONE OF YOUR HEROES ‘GUNHEAD’ EVEN THOUGH HIS HEAD ISN’T EVEN A GUN, LIKE WTF IS UP WITH THAT LET ME SHOW YOU HOW IT’S DONE” DANG OKAY
lmao only fifteen pages this week, and STILL NO KACCHAN (THEN WHO WAS PHONE!!!), but man I don’t even care because finally we’ve got a cliffhanger that’s actually deserving of being a cliffhanger! hot dog. okay then

Hello! I was the one who talked about being inspired by you to write some ideas about my oc. I never really shared anything about her even though I have many ideas and I love her very much. So I decided to share a bit about her! Her origin story happens some time before PLA (like maybe 100 years). So humans and pokemon were fighting (obviously) and Arceus created a hero to stop the fighting.
YOOOOOO!!!!!
MORE UNDER THE CUT!!!
Tumblr media
ohhh I bet she talks like arceus does in PLA, sort of old-timey and overly formal!! 🤔🤔🤔
Tumblr media
oohhhh yeah that makes sense, kind of like putting all of the infinity energy of a species into one person -- that would probably cause problems!! (sweats knowingly)
Tumblr media
(oh, next time try making it a text submission! they should be enabled on both mobile and desktop, and I think it’s worked for folks in the past!)
Tumblr media
OHHHH THAT’S A GOOD ORIGIN STORY FOR ALPHA POKEMON THOUGH and it explains why they aren’t around in the modern sinnoh era!!
Tumblr media
this is awesome, I love when there’s worlds clumped together within a multi-multiverse!! it’s one of my favorite worldbuilding things!! especially in Pokemon since a multiverse is canon in every iteration of canon 👀👀👀
Tumblr media
well hey that’s one way to make a new friend right?? I hope the two of them are able to work everything out though!! 😱😱😱
Tumblr media
YEAH COOL HAIR AND EYE COLORS!!
and I can’t speak for everyone else but I’m pretty sure we’re big fans of nicknames here omg 👀👀👀

Hey Techno, can you tell us a bit about your species possibly?
YOOOOOO ANON YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH STUFF I HAVE
I’m not drawing all of this so I’mma just type it out. It’s long to click the read more if you wanna see
Piglins
- A group of Piglins (5+) is called a Hord
- Piglins speak "Vahmic" and it appears as the W.D. Gaster font. It sounds like pig noises.
- Piglins gently headbutt each other to say hello!
- A sign they want to fight is pawing at the ground with their back leg. It's basically saying "I challenge you" and if they paw back they're agreeing.
^^ To add on, pawing at the ground + a snort or rearing their head is a sign of a serious fight. Just pawing the ground could be a sign of a play fight- it depends on context.
- Touching ears is seen as an act that only those close to you really do. Family, close friends, significant others, etc.
- You don't make direct eye contact with your elders or those in a royal bloodline unless they instruct you to do so. Doing so is a sign of disrespect and rebellion.
- Piglins fashion themselves with gold as a form of showing rank and wealth. The more gold, the higher "rank" you are. This is why Piglins are willing to trade a lot for gold.
- Baby Piglins (like baby elephants) will grab onto their parents or sometimes older sibling's tails- most of the time this is to help them keep up- but sometimes it's for comfort and a sense of security.
- Piglins usually show off their battle scars with pride- since it shows how many times they were able to get back up and survive. Even if they lost said fight, it's still something to carry around with your head held high. It's even encouraged for teens to get into rumbles for practice (after all, there are many dangers in the nether).
- While scars are shown with pride, a broken tusk is not. Piglins usually hide that in shame when it happens since it's their best fighting tool. Breaking another Piglins horn, even in a serious fight, is considered horrendous and unnecessarily cruel.
(Note: cis men have bigger, longer, and thicker tusks while cis women have smaller and shorter tusks)
- Rubbing noses = kissing I don't make the rules I simply enforce them
- Piglins have family crests unique to each family. When two families combine into one (through marriage, blood bond, or some other means) they make a new crest. This can be a combination of the two families or a whole new one.
- Likewise, the same happens with last names when two Piglins get married. They either combine their last names or forge a whole new one.
- Viking-eque funerals? Yes.
- When a Piglin is considered an adult (16 years old), they will officially wear their family's crest. This is considered a great honor and there is usually a big celebration for the occasion. The crest is almost always weaved in golden thread onto the Piglin's favorite article of clothing.
- Piglins will decorate their tusks with war medals they've won (medals = specialized gold bands)
- Piglins are extremely resilient to the heat and can go for long periods without water since they live in the nether. However, this means they are sensitive to the cold.
- Piglins have a mutualistic relationship with Striders. Piglins feed, protect, and take care of Striders, while Striders will take Piglins on safe rides over the lava.
- Piglins fear Hoglins due to their pure bulk and strength. Piglins will only attack Hoglins if they have 3 or more members of their Hord with them to help take it down. If they succeed, the Hord celebrates and feasts that night.
- Because life is so difficult in the nether, there aren't any universal holidays or festivals. Time is limited and it must be used to help the Hord one way or another.
- There are only celebrations for individual achievements such as turning of age and officially carrying your family crest, killing Hoglins, or achieving something great.
- Traditional Piglin clothing is usually made of Hoglin skin, leather, and gold. However, due to new and consistent trade between the Nether and the Overworld, this has mostly faded and now Piglins mostly wear more modern clothes.
- There are different subspecies of Piglins depending on where they were born (these are generalizations obviously there's more variety)
- Pink/red Piglins with brown or blue eyes are found in Crimson Forests and the Nether Wastes. They're called Landrace Piglins
- Black/grey Piglins with gold or orange eyes are found in Basalt Deltas. They're called Choctaw Piglins
- Brown Piglins with white, black, or grey eyes are found in Soul Sand Valleys. They're called Duroc Piglins
- Piglins do not typically live in Warped Forests out of fear of Endermen attacks
- Piglins that live in Bastians are considered high ranking royalty and powerful leaders. These Piglins are light brown, have slightly longer/fluffier fur, and have short stubby black snouts. They're called KuneKune Piglins
- Piglins mainy are either agnostic or worship the Goddess of Karma - Moíra
Despite how Piglins may appear or be stereotyped as tough, unfeeling, fierce battlers who only care about gold and fighting, the reality is that Piglins are much more beneath the surface. Like humans they are quite social creatures, and build large communities. These communities are extremely loyal to each other and help out members of the Hord even to the expense of themselves. Separate Hords may have their squabbles, but during times of war or famine, they almost always are able to put aside their differences to help each other.

Crush Culture
Tumblr media
A/N: Me? Writing for even more fandoms that none of my followers are here for? It’s more likely than you think. (I’m just kidding please don’t leave) (Also, carrying on with my favourtie game of “find the reference” as I hid a Fleabag reference somewhere yeye)
Pairing: Aizawa Shouta x reader
Description: You were certain that the crush you had years ago died out. But as you took up a position at your mother school, seeing the same person you crushed on seems to prove it otherwise.
Warning: Drunkness, swearing, slight slight slight sexual implications, injuries

You stood in front of the gates that you were so familiar with and was overwhelmed by the sudden wash of nostalgia. How long had it been since you were last here? The last time you stepped out of those concrete walls, you were barely an adult, unknowing of how brutal the world you longed to be a part of could be. This time round, you walked back into the campus you spent the best years of your life at with the same pound in your heart that you held all those years ago but for a completely different reason.
You’d never considered education to be a potential career path for you, your heart had always been set on the crime fighting aspect of the pro-hero lifestyle. Upon graduation, you decided to go from agency to agency unlike most of your peers. You never settled in one place, moving from country to country as you saw fit. There was something about the excitement of being somewhere foreign that enticed you. It was tiring, but you loved it no less.
Which was why everyone you know was shocked to hear that you were the one who took up that new position back at the dear alma mater. When getting the questions your friends bombarded your way, you simply shrugged. You’ve had your fun, now it seems to be a good time for you to settle down after 10 years of what most people deemed as reckless. And you missed Japan anyways.
Passing by groups of chattering students, you couldn’t help but smile at how similar they were to you when you were the one wearing the grey uniform. “Funny,” you thought to yourself, “it was 10 years ago but it felt like yesterday to me.”
Principle Nezu greeted you at the front door of the main building. As he toured you around the new facilities of the campus, he explained that UA decided that it would be a good idea to hire more staff after the USJ incident. “And who better for it than one of our own!” Nezu said and you couldn’t fight the smile that crept onto your face.
“Everyone!” Nezu said in his usual delighted tone as he opened the door to the staff room. The pounding in your chest returned as everyone dropped their work and turned their heads at your direction. No matter how familiar you were with this school, the nerves of starting all over with a new identity was still permanent. “This is our new teaching assistant (y/l/n) san! I’m sure that some of you already know them from the time they were a fellow pupil at UA but make sure to give them a warm welcome no less!”
You kept a composed smile as your new colleagues greet you. Nezu was right when he said that UA always favoured its own as you vaguely recognizing each of the staff as people you had seen on campus or in old school photographs, easing your anxiousness just a bit. Some of them were people you used to admire, like All Might who still left you a bit astonished after getting a firm handshake from such a legendary figure, and it brought an odd sense of pride to think that although you might not be their equal, you were among them now.
But even though you were thrilled to meet everyone you only heard of in tales, seeing the familiar faces of Yamada Hizashi and Aizawa Shouta brought a genuine feeling of joy to you. Unlike others, these two were people that actually helped you when you were in your first year and they were about to leave their school like behind. You looked up to your upperclassmen, and share a similar position as people you admired felt like a full circle.
“Yoooooo (y/l/n)---!” you braced yourself for the endearing throb in your eardrum as the blonde man gave you a firm pat on the back. It would have been obnoxious if it had been someone else, but somehow the loud persona worked perfectly for Present Mic, “You looked so different from what I remembered. I almost felt like I watch you grow up, now that you’re established in the industry.”
“What can I say? Life after school certainly wasn’t easy.” you grinned as he continued on about the short year that you were in school the same time as he was, Aizawa watching on like he wasn’t involved in all the events his friend mentioned. You had always find their dynamic to be intriguing, they were polar opposites but they made the dream team.
“Interesting how you guys know each other so well when third years don’t usually come in contact with first years that often.” Midnight commented in the middle of Yamada’s rambling and the corner of his lips curled up. You almost winced, knowing exactly what he was going to say.
“Well, (y/l/n) chan here used to come around our classroom all the time. Although I’m sure that they weren’t there for me. In fact-”
“Let’s not go there.” You hid your panic under a playful eye roll and Yamada pursed his lips into a thin smirk as Midnight’s brow raised in amusement. You adored your friend, but you had no intention of letting him brought up what he wanted to reveal in front of so many others that you were desperately trying to leave a good impression upon. Yamada had been the one to tease you ever since you met but he was kind enough to humor you as he dropped the subject, returning to his desk to carry on with whatever he was working on before you entered the room.
The chatter died down and you were left to your own device as you started to settle down on your designated seat, very conveniently against the seemingly tired man who haven’t said a word to you since you walked in. You contemplated making small talk but decided to leave it upon seeing how he was almost dozing off. Time put its strain on the man but the “don’t disturb” aura Aizawa emitted somewhat brought you the comfort of seeing how some things never change.
Why had you crushed on this man anyways?
“It’s been long.”
The groggy voice took you aback and you lifted your head to stare at the man in front of you, now looking more awake. Your mind went blank as you didn’t expect him to strike a conversation. “Yeah." you felt pathetic at how breathy you sounded and that you couldn’t even give a proper respond with more than one word.
Aizawa looked at you with the expression you knew so well but still had no idea how to read, “You haven’t changed much.”
For whatever reason, you felt a weird bitterness on your tongue at his nonchalant comment. Despite it being exactly what you expected from him. “I guess I could say the same for you.” you quickly flashed him a smile and pretend to fumble through your bag, not wanting to know if his gaze lingered on you any longer. Not that you wanted it to.
Working at UA was nothing like what you used to do but you settled in nicely. You didn’t have to teach any classes, mostly helping with administration and paperwork while occasionally offering extra support in trainings when needed. After practically running on adrenaline every day for so long, it was nice to live by a schedule for a change. You got on with the kids nicely, not having to be in charge of classes meant that you got to take up the role of the fun, sarcastic TA that banters with students. Your fellow staff played a huge role in easing your way back into the academy, being helpful and supportive as always. No matter how tired you were, seeing everyone pouring their heart into everything they do gave you the push to strive on. To be fair, it felt weird to work with people you used to somewhat put on a pedestal. But somewhere between Yamada’s loud voice echoing off the walls and Aizawa trying to shut him out by zipping his sleeping bag all the way up, it felt like home all over again.
“Class, Present Mic sensei is out for a meeting today so I’ll be substituting for him.” You said as you flipped through the handouts Yamada had given you before he left the school. The excited whispers of class 1-A did not slip through your ears and you almost snickered at how naive they were to think that they would have a free period only to smirk when you heard their groans after you handed them the blank assignment.
“You have until the bell rings to finish the assignment, feel free to ask me if you need any help.”
Despite their initial protest, the room was soon left with nothing but the sound of pen scribbling. You pulled out the files you were working on, making use of the free time you were given as the students focused on their own work. There were occasional whispers here and there but you let it slide, you were never a believer of silence equal attentiveness anyways. That was until the squeaks at the corner grew louder and a sleeve was waving in the air as a girl with pink skin whispered something into thin air.
“Yes?”
“Um, (y/l/n) sensei,” the girl, whose name was Hagakure as you found out from taking a quick glance at the seating plan, timidly asked, “what’s your relationship with Aizawa sensei?”
Relationship? You were working together? But they already knew that. “Hm,” you tilted your head, thinking about what could possibly get her to ask you that, “He was two year ahead of me at school so technically he’s my senpai, if that’s what you’re referring to.”
“No, but like personally?”
Ashido added, clearly dissatisfied with the answer you gave her friend. The rest of the class stopping their movements and looking up at you, the curious look in their eyes showing you that it wasn’t a question only a few of them have in mind.
“Personally?” you teasingly quirked your brow, entertained by her eagerness, “What exactly do you think our personal relationship is?”
“Well,” she stuttered, slightly embarrassed from exposing her purpose, “Aizawa sensei seems to talk more when he was around you and you were always smiling when he talks so we thought...”
“You thought?”
“That you two might be romantically involved.” Todoroki bluntly said and the class murmured in agreement.
You did not expect that. You didn’t really think that Aizawa treated you any differently from his other colleagues. Even if he did pay more attention to you, you simply took it as it being an old habit from him being the eldest and you being the youngest of the school back then. As for the smiling part, being friendly when someone talks to you was called “manners”. Everyone who went to school with you knew how painfully unrequited your crush was on the upperclassman. For people to question whether you were an item with the same person you pinned after now that you had gotten over him was nowhere near anything you expected.
“We are not,” a few of them narrowed their eyes, clearly not buying what you said, “now get back to your work. Present Mic is going to kill me if he knows that you couldn’t get it done by time because you were too busy gossiping.”
As silence filled the room once again, you tried to focus on your own work but you couldn’t get the boy’s words out of your head. In all honesty, it infuriated you a little. You did not spend your three years in high school being “the one who likes Eraser Head” to be mistaken as a couple with him after you spent so much effort doing the opposite of that once you gave up. Of all people, you cursed in your head, of all the people you could have wasted years going after, you had to fall for the one who find dating to be too much of a chore. Why did you torture yourself like that? You asked, as if you couldn’t pin point the exact moment you realized your feelings for the black-haired male was more than admiration.
You knew that spring had arrived when you felt the first pink petal landing on your shoulder, quietly letting you know that although it was the start of a new year for mother nature, your first year at UA was about to end. It was weird to think that you were a potential pro-hero when you didn’t feel much difference from being an ordinary civilian even after months of harsh training. You found yourself wondering if you were truly suitable for this lifestyle at times, you simply thought that you got lucky in your admission exams. Comparing to those around you, you were nothing special. You weren’t one of those who dreamt of being a hero since they were young and you were nowhere near being the most heroic. You weren’t the best at forming tactics and your combat skills were serviceable at best, you were kinda just there. When everyone had such a clear vision of what kind of hero they wanted to become, even hesitating on things like that made you feel bad for taking up a spot that so many would fight to get on.
You pushed the door to the rooftop and let out a deep sigh as the heavy door slammed shut. You had been eating alone here for a while now, despite your friends inviting you to go to the canteen with them. You needed the time of being alone to clear your mind. You tried to talk to your friends about the many questions looming your mind, but realized that they didn’t get why you had them in the first place as they kept telling you how you were already doing well enough. You appreciated the reassurance but it did not ease the self-doubt that kept coming back to haunt you.
Your eyes widened as you saw a figure sitting at your usual spot, failing to hide your disappointment. You looked closer to see that it was Aizawa Shouta from third year. You had been around him for a few times but found him to be the most intimidating out of all the third years that you encountered. You had spent enough time around him to know that he did not hate you but not enough to know if he considered you a friend. Although his chatty friends would always include you in conversations when you happened to be around them for programs or school functions, you never knew if he was secretly being annoyed by you and his expression or the lack there of made you hesitate to approach him.
You were about to turn around and leave when he caught you in the corner of his eye. “(y/l/n)?”
“Aizawa senpai!” you startled and abruptly turn back to face him, “I’m sorry, did I interrupt you?”
“It’s fine, I’m all alone anyways.” Aizawa looked at you and added as he saw how nervous you were, “You can stay if you want.”
You wanted nothing but to escape the awkwardness. Still, you carefully sat next to him, keeping some distance as you did not want to seem rude and muttered a word of thanks.
For a while, you two were just eating in complete silence and the beating in your chest was killing you. The silence was dreadful as you contemplated to talk to him many times before the fear of annoying him pushed each attempt to the back of your head.
“How’s school?”
You almost flinched as the sudden sound of his deep voice broke the silence. “It’s alright.” you tried to give the standard response, believing that Aizawa was only trying to be nice and not really that interested. He hummed and looked at you. You wanted to back to the wall under his gaze, not knowing how to read the look in his eyes.
“Hm,” he said with his eyes still fixed on you, “you looked tired.”
You instantly touched the area under your eyes, wondering if you had any dark circles that gave it away. Aizawa quietly added upon seeing your reaction. “As in mentally. Something on your mind?”
You mind was racing as you stayed silent. You thought you hid it well, not even your friends could notice how bothered you were but somehow this person who you were so sure he was emotionally detached picked up on it. Knowing him, you could easily brush it off and he would not pester you any further. But he was right, you were tired and your doubt went flooding at the slightest bit of compassion you were given.
“It’s just, sometimes I feel like I shouldn’t be here,” you said, “I know that passing the test and surviving a whole year is a sign that it was not a mistake that I am. But the thing is, I don’t have to. I’m not as determined as the others and I know that I’ll do just fine being a civilian, the world won’t miss anything. So many people are saying that I’m so lucky to be here and they would kill to be in my place but I just feel such a good chance is wasted on me.”
Aizawa looked a bit dumbfounded at your sudden explosion. “So I don’t know why I’m still doing this. I don’t know and that scares me,” you let out a dry laugh, “even thinking about it makes me feel stupid.”
You weren’t sure why you were telling him all this when you didn’t had the guts to talk to him minutes before but you would be lying if you said it didn’t feel good to let it all out. For a while, neither of you said anything and the same silence that made you crawl in your skin just then became soothing to you now. He diverted his stare away from you for a moment as if he was thinking of something to say and you realized how confusing your rant must be to him.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t know what came over me but I-”
“You’re not stupid,” he looked at you thoughtfully and it caught your breath in your throat, “you just haven’t grown up, that’s all.”
You didn’t know what to say and he looked away from you once again as his words sink in. To an outsider, it might sounded dismissive or belittling. If anything, to you, it meant that you still had a long way to go and that’s expected, but one day you’ll grow into your own person.
And even though he had no idea, that one mindless sentence gave you more direction to keep going than anything else.
Ever since then, you started to be around Yamada and Aizawa more often. The former very quickly picked up on the reason behind it and teased you relentlessly as you two were pretty good friends even before you developed you not so subtle crush on his best friend. It didn’t take long for everyone else to notice, part of it owing to Present Mic’s lack of awareness on how loud he could be and his obvious attempts of acting as a wingman. There was no way that Aizawa didn’t know it himself, he probably didn’t care about people’s gossiping but he certainly wasn’t blind. Yet, he did not treat you any differently than before. Some part of you expected him to distance from you to avoid getting more people to talk as it seems far more likely than him returning your feelings but he didn’t even show signs of rejection. By the end they graduated, everyone in the school including the teachers knew of your poorly hidden affection.
It didn’t help that you went to the agency Aizawa worked at for your internship. You literally paled when you walked into the office on your first day and saw him sitting there. On one hand, you were glad to be close to your crush but you were sure that you looked like an actual stalker. You were so sure that he would try to steer clear from you, but he didn’t. In fact, it didn’t felt much different from when you were still at school together. Perhaps it was your classmates’ fault for betraying you but you were sure that even people from the agency knew as you were always randomly paired up with Aizawa in missions. You swore that you did not know and it was a complete accident but no one believed you. Your attempts at explaining yourself only fueled the fire even more.
You weren’t sure if you were relieved for your internship to be over as you approached your graduation. You were grateful that Aizawa was nice enough to still be your friend when everyone practically made fun of you both whenever you two interacted in any sort of way but it pained you no less. His lack of acknowledgement on your obvious crush cemented your fate and you finally had enough. Who hurt you? No one but yourself, and that’s the worst part of it. Getting over someone you had loved for 3 years was tough but you made it work after pouring you entire soul into striving for the goal you spent so long finding. It was one of the things that made you glad you decided to work overseas, the distance definitely helped.
You let out a sigh of relieve the day you realized you no longer felt the rush of emotions whenever you came across Aizawa Shouta in anyway.
So for people to still suspect anything till this day was a slap to the face, you would go lengths just to deny the possibility that the feelings you tried so hard to bury down under was still there. You rubbed your temples as you tried to get your mind back on the files in front of you again. You already dwelled on it for too long.
“Are you sure that there’s nothing going on between you and Aizawa sensei?” Ashido asked once again as you walked around to collect their assignments.
“Nothing!” you shook your head with a defeated laugh.
“How about back when you were a student?”
That hit too close to home and you didn’t lie through it as quickly as you wanted to. Somehow, pretending like those long days of painful pining didn’t happen at all came off wrongly to you. “According to your logic, I could be getting on with Present Mic too.” you smirked as she fell silence upon seeing that you were not giving in any sooner.
“Besides,” you said to the girl with you hand on the doorknob, “imagine how tiring it’d be to like someone so insensibly logic driven?”
You almost felt your heart drop dead as you closed the door to see Aizawa standing in the hallway, his head bobbing as he was dozing off. Speak of the fucking devil, how long had he been there? “Aizawa sensei?”
His lids opened as you called out for him and he walked next to you with his sleeping bag in hand. “Heard that you were substituting for those kids,” he said, voice hoarse from his slumber, “passing by to check if they give you a hard time.”
“They’re really sweet, actually.” You replied with a smile and you couldn’t help but think of what his students said to you as you noticed the lift in the corner of your lips. Smiling was normal, no?
“Is that so.”
“Quit it,” you snickered at how apathetic he sounded, “you adore them. You’re just being harsh, you have always been.”
“Have I?”
“Well,” you thought of all the times he scolded you for the minor mistakes you made, “you were harsh to me.”
Aizawa scoffed, “That’s because I had expectations on you. People would let your errors slide when you are still learning, but you don’t get forgiveness that easily when you go into the profession for real. I was trying to get you prepared.” You mockingly threw you hand in the air, laughing as he rolled his eyes at you.
That’s when you felt that familiar warmth at the bottom of your stomach, mixing together with dread as you immediately realized exactly what it implied.
“What do you mean everyone is going out for a drink and what do you mean you forgot to tell me?”
“We didn’t leave you out on purpose, I promise!” you rolled your eyes at the slurring tone of your colleague from the other end of the call. You were still at school, trying to make the most out of the last school day before summer break starts to finish up a few reports you were helping Nezu on. To say that you felt betrayed when you got a call from Midnight saying that everyone was out at a bar and they completely forgotten to invite you would be an understatement.
“And you’re calling me now because?” you wanted to act like you were mad but couldn’t hold in your laughter at how drunk Nemuri was so different from the Midnight you worked with every day.
“Because the night is still young and we want to make up to you! Come on, I’ll send you the address and you can come over! Alright? Good!”
“Wait, Nemuri? I’m not-” And she hung up. How many drinks did she take? You stared at the blank screen of your phone until a message from the woman popped up, showing the address of a bar downtown. Your gaze flicked between the address and the reports on your desk. You let out an exaggerated sigh as you shoved the files into your bag, you could use a drink.
Pushing the door open tentatively, you squinted your eyes to let it get used to the dim lighting of the bar. The bar wasn’t that big and you looked around, trying to find the group of very likely drunk pro-heroes but there was no sign of your friends. Had they left? You silently evaluate the possibility of using the fact they left you out on bar night AND stood you up to guilt them into giving you less work in the next semester.
The bar was quiet with only the occasional clinking of glass and the sound of soft jazz flowing through the shop. Seeing as you had nowhere to go now that the plan to bond with your colleagues seemed unlikely, you sat down on one of the stools at the bar and glanced around to look for the bartender. It was then you saw that someone was actually sitting next to you. Well, they were sitting but the way they laid down with their head on the bar table, you were pretty certain that they had passed out.
You thanked the bartender as he gave you your drink and took a sip, feeling more at ease as you felt the sting sliding down your throat. You took in your surroundings once again, that’s when you noticed the very familiar scarf and black hair of the person who passed out like a corpse next to you.
You gave the person a light poke on the shoulder and gasped when the body jerked awake. “Aizawa?”
He rubbed his eyes and you saw how blood shot they were as he looked at you, slightly confused. “(y/l/n)? What are you doing here?” he asked and stiffly looked around him, “where’s everybody else?”
“Guess they left you here the same way the same way they did with me,” you said, trying to suppress your grin, “why are you here? I don’t really expect you to be the ‘getting drunk with friends from work’ type of person.” There was something very entertaining about seeing someone who was usually so composed looking almost disheveled. You couldn’t recall any moment in your memory of Aizawa looking nearly as clueless as he was now.
“Present Mic dragged me along.” he groaned and rubbed his temple, brows knitting together. He looked like he was in pain, you almost laughed as you imagine what the rest of the crew had done to get him to this state.
You snorted, no longer trying to hide your amusement, “Aizawa sensei, are you ok?”
“Oh fuck you,” he dragged his palm across his face and slid it down his jaw before looking at you once again, “calling me ‘sensei’ like it doesn’t turn you on just to say it.”
You laughed and drank the rest of your drink. You should have been more bashful at how he basically called you out like that but you were too amused to be embarrassed. This was the first time he showed any signs that he was aware of your old crush in the past 10 years, who knew that alcohol could be so powerful?
“So you knew.” you mindlessly traced the rim of your glass. You were sure that any signs of your dead crush resurfacing was just a side effect of being around Aizawa on a daily basis again after shutting all thoughts of him out of your head for the past years. Whenever you felt the fluttering in your stomach from being around him, you brushed it off as your mind finding someone convenient to be emotionally attached to. You managed to convince yourself that you didn’t care about him like that anymore than you were not as phased as you thought you would at his sudden boldness.
“Hard to ignore all the snickering from literally anyone who knew both of us, “He tapped his finger on the wooden surface of the bar table gently, “and Hizashi was always nagging me to date you.”
You were lost in thought as you recalled the many times you wondered if he even knew of your affection for him. Lips almost quivering, you asked the one question that used to bother you so much, “Why didn’t you say anything?”
He stared at you and you didn’t look away, desperately trying to guess what was going on in his head right now, something you gave up doing a long time ago. “Because I thought that you would give up eventually, that you would realize I’m not worth wasting your time on and find someone who actually treats you nicely.” he said and you felt a painful pang in your chest, “Hell, I wasn’t even interested in relationships. Why bother with someone like that?”
“Trust me,” you sighed in disappointment as you forgot that you had downed the shot you were holding in hand and motioned for a refill before carrying on, “I had asked myself that many times. Wouldn’t have done it if it was a choice I was given.”
“I didn’t expect you to hold onto it for so long,” he paused before adding in a much softer voice, “I almost asked you out by the time you were about to graduate.”
“But you didn’t," you said in a whisper, “and by then I finally gave up.”
Aizawa was about to say something when the bartender handed you another glass of whiskey and you two fell into silence again. You took a gulp, still feeling his stare on you.
“I’m not the same kid who took everything you said to heart anymore.”
“I know, you’re better and stronger than that kid,” the man said in a way that you would mistake as vulnerable if you didn’t know any better, “which means that although I’m regretting everything I did, I know better than anyone that my chance was long gone.”
Was it? You hated how he so easily swayed your heart that was so determined to shut him out.
He watched you take another sip of liquor without responding to him at all and let out a soft sigh, “Should I try going after you for 3 years too?”
“Please don’t,” you begged mockingly, “I know firsthand how troublesome that would be.”
You didn’t miss the slight tug at the corner of his lips and despite your better judgment, you smiled.
What is going on?
Oh god, what is going on?
A million thought went through your head as the alarm of the camp cries at the back. When they told you to help in the first year’s summer camp, you didn’t exactly foresee a lockdown to protect students from a sudden attack.
“But sensei! We should be out there helping the others-”
“No you are not.” you said as you rushed the students to go into the room. You understood why they wanted to put themselves out there but you simply couldn’t let them take the risk.
“They are surrounded by villains in the middle of a forest-”
“Which is exactly why you are staying right where you are.” Vlad King walked in with Aizawa, both in their full gear, “We need to make sure that as many students are safe as possible.”
The kids tried to argue but their protests were quickly shut down. “Vlad King, you stay here with them. I’m going in.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“What?” Aizawa said and the way he sounded like he couldn’t believe what you just said infuriated you at the worst timing possible.
“I said ‘I’ll go with you’,” you tapped your foot impatiently, “you aren’t expecting me to just stay here and do nothing, don’t you?”
The reality was, you were fuming. It was a training camp, yes, but it was supposed to be a chance for those kids to learn and make memories that would last a lifetime and now their lives were on the line because some villain decided to barge in. You wouldn’t let yourself live it down if you stay behind knowing full well you could do more being out there fighting. You snarled, “You had expectations on me back then, have expectations on me now. I’m not any less of a pro than you are.”
He stared at you and for the first time in ever, you could make up on what that look in his eyes meant and it was filled with worry. You would have been touched if you weren’t having such an emergency. Deep down, some part of him knew that he was in no place to worry over you because you were right, you were just as capable as he was. But he just couldn’t help it.
“Of course.” he sighed and started walking towards the main entrance of the building with you closely following suit. He turned to face you again before opening the door, “Don’t do anything reckless.”
You rolled your eyes when you heard his excessive reminder. And remembering that made you feel so guilty as you sat on the stiff bed of the hospital, bandages wrapped around the entire upper part of your body and Aizawa stood by the side as he looked down at you.
“I was trying to shield the students from an attack-”
“With your body.”
“It was too sudden.” you winced in pain as you moved on of your strained muscles as you talked and he immediately leaned down to help you into a more comfortable position.
“You could have died.”
“Or let those kids take a direct hit? I would rather die-”
You were gonna give him a snarky response to ensure him that you were fine and you would recover very soon but the words were caught in your throat as you felt the sudden embrace of his arm across your shoulder, pressing you to his chest in such a tender way like he was afraid of breaking you.
“Please don’t do that again.”
You could feel the vibration in his chest before it hit you in full force and sent shivers done your spine. You muttered in a barely audible whisper, “This is so unfair.”
He arched his head towards you to give you a questioning look and you looked into his eyes, once again filled with the realization of how much of a disadvantage you were in. It wasn’t fair that he could just come in and be genuinely worried about you, knowing full well that it would only make it harder for you to not fall in love with him all over again. He couldn’t just do that, tugging at your heart strings like that when you were the one who had to spend years trying to forget that feeling. You used to crave that look in his eyes and you spent years pretending you didn’t in hope that it would be the truth one day. You spent years getting over him. You spent years not thinking of him whenever you see a stray cat on the streets. You spent years just to stop comparing all of the people who showed an interest on you to him. You spent years to not be in love with him. And he got to just wrap his arm around you and you would still lean into his touch. And it was so unfair, so so so unfair.
“Please stop,” you uttered, “I can’t go back to pining after you again. I’m too old for that.”
Aizawa pressed his forehead to yours and a smile crept onto your face at how uncharacteristically soft he was being, “I meant it when I said I’ll do the pining this time round.”
You snickered, surprised that he remembered his own drunk talking. “And I meant it when I said there’s no need to.”
You were having a moment when you heard a loud thump from behind the door and a squeal as well as people shushing at whoever let out the high pitched sound.
Aizawa groaned, “Those kids are a hazard.”
You laughed and put your chin on his shoulder, silently hoping that his class was prepared for the moment when they got back to school.

“Am I anything more to you than just an idol, Ryuji?” (3rd semester based off what we talked about last night.) -Lxstnavigatxr
☠ - Somehow that managed to drown out the ongoing press of the TV left in the wake of her complex. Claiming these softer times with eager hands, jubilant spirit and just the peace of them being there, hot damn was it like a dream. Usually their crackshots ranging from a good joke to well-meant sayings, there was a sense of ease that made him come to forget that well, she was that as well. Rise Kujikawa remained Rise Kujikawa in his head, something that could be considered foolish simplicity as the other idea of titles felt like it’d come to dilute that. ..Would that truly be the case?
The couch creaks as he props himself up entirely, keeping his head canted towards her, peering deep into those wondering eyes that held a touch of anticipation alongside that overwhelming flow of curiosity that remains deep within them. So why in the hell was such a question making that ticker within his chest begin to accelerate? As if somehow, that inner self of the delinquent could pick up on the hidden message, even if it hadn’t entirely managed to be translated into his brand of sense. “Yo. Yoooooo, yo, you always have been! I haven’t been givin’ ya otherwise ideas, have I? Least I hope not..”
Once their adventures started on that front it had stopped being about as such the more he learned about her. How that despite it all, her circumstances of the unnatural blending into her current life, how she suffers and manages to claw at the tenacity to keep going, these were the small things that made the whole idolizing deal in comparison come to dwindle and melt away. Even now, he could still see she’s searching for an answer.. but, what the one he carried exactly be one she wants to hear? That courage of his manages to knit together while he decides to become more outside.
Brushing at the side of his blonde hair, it managed to sooth that natural anxious feeling in his gut, to just-- prompt him to take that step forward. “You’ve been my ride or die. Erm, less on the dyin’, I just mean--.. You’ve become someone pretty damn important to me. When we’re here bumping heads or just leaning back, I never even knew a damn definition of peace like this could even frickin’ exist. And I can’t get enough of it, wouldn’t be a thing in the world I’m come to trade for it either.
Tumblr media
Damn it. Is he even making sense with this?
Words had never been a true strong suit of his. They either got fumbled, confused, or sometimes in these kinds of moments the feelings he tried to speak with them wouldn’t match up at all. In the end, he allows for action to be his rightful language, for him to reach out, for his thumb to graze along the back of her hand while the rest of his own cradles her’s, giving it a soft squeeze despite the prominent pound of his own heart. For this moment, it felt too damn important focus solely on her, to never let his gaze wander despite the growing shade of a blush on his face.
“I wanna stick by you, even after the roughest of all this is over. Not just with us fighting together either, but having a helluva lot more days like this, where it can be just a whole lotta you along with me.”

Forbidden - part 2 (Dimon romantc)
The story can also be found on Wattpad You can find the first chapter here Feedback is greatly appreciated. It has been a little over three weeks since I moved in my dorm and started my studies at the Uni. Although I am still quite ‘green’ as the graduates would call it, I actually started to get used to my new life here and I do like it. It feels freaking good to be meeting tons of new people who know nothing about you and have never met you before. I’ve gotta say that Chelle and I have really hit it off and get along quite well, too. We go out at the discos every weekend and it’s been a great fun to get lose with her. She is one pretty crazy gal, can talk about the weirdest shit ever and wouldn’t even bother. We usually go out, pass by some fast food chain to grab a bite, then leave for the big alcohol smash and return to the same restaurant spot to eat afterwards again. Don’t ask me why, it just is that way every time. It is now 10 AM on a Sunday morning and at this point my hangover is killing me for real. And the sunlight piercing through the windows doesn’t help at all, so I just cover my eyes with my right arm. I can’t help but wonder why every time after a good night out, the next morning feels like a payback? A few minutes later and I get this really irritating feeling of having to pee right on this instant. I groan tiredly at the idea of getting up and although that’s the last thing I feel like doing right now, my full bladder wins, so I slowly waddle my way to the bathroom. The smell of cigarettes and alcohol is everywhere, my clothes smell, my lingerie smell; even my skin has soaked it up. I’m in a desperate need of a shower, so this is the priority task on the to-do list now. I do my job on the toilet in what feels like a slow motion and collapse back onto my bed. Despite all the drinking and partying there was still no puking or anything, so good job Demetria, I tell myself. Sleeping on doesn’t seem possible right now so instead I grab my phone and start scrolling over my social media. Most of the stuff I see is memes and photos from the party last night, so I quickly run through the galleries. I zoom over every picture that I am tagged in and fortunately for me, I look more or less decent in them. I decide to go through my own camera snaps in search for something new to upload on my profile, but the majority of the pics are either vague or too dark, so I drop it. In the mean time the phone buzzes in my hands and I notice a messenger head pop from Marissa, my best friend back home. I click onto the icon to have a look on what she says. “Wazzzzza girllll, is everything alright with u there? Give me a call when u see that.” I chuckle to myself and dial her number. I haven’t talked to her in a good six days, being busy with the project we got from the uni or going out on the free days. When I got admitted for my studies she was a bit upset that I was leaving, so we promised each other to keep in touch and share a lot with the latest news and gossips going around. After 3 beeps, she picks up. “Yoooooo, wat up, chicka?” “Took you long enough to answer, eh?” – I teased her. “Haha come off it, I was in the bathroom” – She replied, laughing. “Oh well, since when aren’t you bringing it with you in there?” “Since I dropped my brand new Galaxy S in the loo last year, remember?” – We both started laughing at the memory of it. “Oh yeah, right, I now remember this masterpiece of yours. How are you, what’s going on?” – I asked. “Well nothing much to be honest. I’ve been bored as fuck lately with uni, work, you know how it is. “ “Awwwwwee, does someone miss me and my trolling comments?” – I mocked her again. “You wiiiiiish lol. But yeah, I do. Nobody here is up for anythi-i-i-ing, so I’m living a retiree’s life now I swear.” – She complained. I chuckled at her whiny voice. “So tell me, what’s new around you? Haven’t talked to you in like a week” “Yeah sorry, I’m still overwhelmed with everything here, lessons, parties, classmates, all of that” “Anything in particular? Like, tell me are there any hotties going around those lessons, parties or classmates?” – She asked cheekily. Always the first one to ask about that. “Well, there are some going around, not gonna lie. But hey, there’s still Rob, in case you have forgotten already”. – I remind her, even though I’m technically single already. “I thought you guys broke up?” “Well, we did, but I promised him I’m not gonna hook up with anyone here, so” “Oh come on Demi, you are so far away. You don’t expect to never like anyone for the next few years there, do you? The same goes for him.” “Marissa, I’m not saying it is impossible but I have no desire for it whatsoever now.” “I think you are over-doing it here. I mean that’s why you guys broke up, so that you both see if you love each other enough to not like anyone else. What you’re doing is different, though.” “And how exactly is it different?” “Well, you should check if you will like someone else, but what you are doing is trying not to like someone else.” – She explained in her serious tone. “You’re wrong. But you know, there isn’t anyone so far anyway.” “We will see about that. Anyway, let’s cut the shit, give me some highlights or I don’t know, some spicy stuff from Berklee now please, I’m so bored” I guess it was no surprise that my mind immediately wandered over to Simon. I mean that was surely one of the highlights and unfortunately, probably the most embarrassing moment so far during my month of stay here. And the cringer part is, one: he is my lecturer and second: I still find him very attractive. Too much for what is acceptable for a student. As if any of this is acceptable at all, I thought to myself. “Demi? You there?” – I heard Marissa ask on the line. “Yeah, sorry, I just got carried away a bit there…– I replied. “But alright…since you’ve asked, I’m gonna tell you about it… there was this really cringy thing that happened to me” I trailed off. “Yes?” “But don’t mock me too much about it, alright?” “God, Is it that bad?” “Not my greatest move by far” “Okay, now I really want to know. What’s up?” – She asked curiously. “Ehm, I was basically... you know… ehm so the other day, when I was going to school and was just crossing the street, a car nearly hit me and so it stopped right next to me, stirring the wheels and all” “Jesus, are you okay?” – She asked worriedly. “Yeah yeah, don’t worry, nothing happened. Anyway, the thing is I was running late so I got mad at the driver. Called him a fool and kicked the bumper, like not that hard but still…” I heard her laughing on the other end of the line. “Why am I not surprised?” She kept on laughing. “And, what happened afterwards?” “Well, I kept walking my way, got to the Uni and all and long story short, it turned out the driver of that same car was also my lecturer…” “HAHAHAHAHA, Oh my God, are you serious?” – She was laughing hysterically. “Yup” – I replied, not believing it myself, shaking my head. “Oh my God, I’m literally gonna pee myself here.” – She said through what sounded like tears from laughter. “So much for a friend’s support” – I replied ironically. “Oh come on Dems, it is funny.” – Her laughter was only confirming my fears of how bad it was. I couldn’t blame her though; perhaps I would have laughed just as much. “Hey, come on Dems, I’m sorry okay. But Jesus, tell me about bad luck there. Did he recognize you later on in the class?” – She asked much calmer this time. “Yeah, he did and he told me he knew it was me. I was so embarrassed, Marissa, you have no idea…” “I get it hun, and I’m not gonna lie to you, Dem, that’s pretty embarrassing. But it’s not like you wanted to offend him, I mean you didn’t know it was him so he shouldn’t take it close to heart.” – She said. “I know, but still, I felt like the dumbest ass over there, seriously.” “Ehm, did you, like, apologize?” “I tried, but he didn’t let me. Once he was done talking he left the room so I couldn’t.” “You have pissed me him off, Dem. It is understandable. He will get over it, don’t worry about it. Maybe just try to say sorry when you can.” “Do you think that will fix it?” – I asked hopeful. I now got a feeling that I probably cared more than I should, but more importantly, more than I thought I did. “Well, even if it doesn’t, that’s all you got.” “I guess you are right...” “I am. So just breathe now and don’t think about it anymore alright?” “Yes. Thanks hun, feeling better now to be honest.” “You welcome. We all make mistakes, I doubt it that he never made one.” I silently agreed with her. “Hey Dems I gotta go now, so I will talk to you later chicka.” “Alright, drop me a line when you can.” “Will do. Byeee” “Bye”. And I hang up. It always feels better after sharing your worries with a close friend. Marissa was surely the only person who knew so much about me, both good and bad stuff. Mostly bad, I mean nobody hides the good part, do they? I dropped my phone on my left side and thought about my convo with her. She did try her best to calm me down and most likely has sensed I was worried about it. Not something quite typical, but she didn’t give it a second thought, at least while talking and I was thankful for it. The thing is, I really don’t know if I care so much because I fancy him somehow or because I am still pretty ashamed of what I did. I thought about what she told me regarding Rob as well. That it is not only dependent on me if we will stay true to each other, but on him too. That was one thing that didn’t really cross my mind so far, and it did incent my doubts. Not that I didn’t trust him or anything, it is just that by now I have kept my focus on what I am doing and never actually thought that it is not just me and what I am doing here, it is about us both. And it is scary. Did he love me? Well, he told me he did. Did I love him? I think I do. I mean I’ve been in love with him for the past few years that should mean something right?? Whilst on theory everything seems to be working just fine, it surely isn’t as simple. I need time to think, and I should surely have it figured out by Christmas, when I will be going home for the holidays. I played a bit with my fingers and heard Chelle moving around in the bathroom. I was surprised she has woken up just now, it is already almost 11 AM and she usually handles hangovers much better than me. I heard her shutting the syphone and then knocking on my door quietly. “Hey Dems, got a minute?” – She called from outside. “Yep, come in” – I said, still curled up under my covers. She came in and sat on the verge of my bed, next to my feet. “Hey, still lying in bed I see.” – she smiled and poked me on my shoulder. “Noo, I’m awake, but just talked on the phone with my friend for like an hour” – I explained still sleepily. “I know. I heard you telling the story about you, Mr. Cowell and your intriguing acquaintanceship to someone.” – She laughed at the memory. Chelle was the first person I shared this with, she was in the dorm when I got home from that embarrassing class and sensed something was up. She then asked me and I told her about it. “Yeah, don’t even mention it, I’m still so embarrassed.” – I said, hiding my face in my pillow. “Oh come on Dems, we talked about it. It’s over already, you can’t do anything to change it.” – She shrugged her shoulders. “I know Chelle, but it is just so bad…” “It is not the end of the world, Dems. To be honest I thought you were over it by now, you haven’t mentioned it lately.” “Well yes, because I haven’t had classes with him ever since, but guess what – next week I will.” – I said kind of irritated. “Right, I heard he was back in the states from his work in Britain the other day too.” – She said. “He is like the buzzing topic among the girls here.” “Having in mind even you have heard something, he surely is” – I laughed and she followed too. “Come on, let’s go out and have some food. Just let me take a quick shower.” – I added, running to the bathroom already. “Okay, 20 minutes and we’re going” – She replied, jumping off my bed and going to her room. I guess it is time to get this Sunday finally started.

Stand Still Stay Silent Liveblog #63
UPDATE 63: Bite
Last time the crew had managed to successfully repel the trolls and ghosts, although it was mostly thanks to Onni’s help. Let’s continue.
I had stopped when Reynir and Tuuri were inside the tank, most likely wondering what’s going on and not knowing Onni made a fire bird incinerate everything. I’m sure the others will tell them. It’s a bit odd there’s an entire page of these two and the cat sitting around, silent.
Now that I have taken a good look at this, I notice there’s a lot of ominous noise going on. Scratching and hitting. I don’t remember any remaining enemies being around, so...hm...
Suddenly the cat freaks out, clear sign something wicked’s coming this way. It runs around in circles, mewing and panicking, until suddenly I see what I forgot.
Tumblr media
I completely forgot about that one. True, one of the trolls got underneath the tank, Sigrun didn’t manage to kill that one in time. It must have sensed these defenseless two, sitting around inside the tank. Now it burst through the floor, getting in here. This is a good chance for you to show new mage skills, Reynir! Somehow! Or maybe not, because Icelandic magic relies on runes, and unless he can draw a rune during the next few seconds without dying he’s not going to be able to do anything. Then again, the characters in this story have surprised me before.
Tumblr media
Yoooooo that thing has a lot of impulse if it can leap into the air like that. That’s a pretty big hole on the floor, too. Is it big enough to make them unable to jump over it and run out of this room? Trying to fight it is a dangerous option, so they shouldn’t. Running away is the best idea. The doors here inside the tank should be sturdy enough to resist the troll...I hope. The bottom may have been the weakest spot because they may not have expected a troll large enough to pierce through it yet small enough to get underneath it. Or...you know, a troll strong enough to knock the tank over and then pierce through the bottom. Pretty big oversight, makers of the tank.
Thankfully, Lalli seems to have sensed something’s going on inside the tank, because he rushes towards it, gun in hand. Ah, perfect! I won’t be surprised if the shock of seeing a troll getting shot to death in front of her makes Tuuri not want to go outside the safe walls of the military settlement anymore. It’d be an interesting character development.
One shot through the head is enough to kill the troll, pretty much guaranteeing this room is unusable for the non-immune forever and ever. No way this can get cleaned enough.
Tumblr media
...
...
...
...oh. Oh, damn. Does this mean what I think it means? Did the troll injure Tuuri, therefore infecting her? Will this have...repercussions? Damn, Onni is going to be so upset and scared. For Tuuri and Onni’s sake, I hope she doesn’t get infected. Not very sure how likely infection is if a troll injures you. Isn’t it a guaranteed infection?
Does this mean...Tuuri is doomed?
...
But really, Onni is going to freak out.
I’m pretty sure Lalli is freaking out too, even if his panic is kept inside. Just...
Tumblr media
...just look at his face when he goes to get Mikkel. He looks so defenseless right now; I don’t remember seeing Lalli like this ever before. Poor kid...
Some distance away, in an abandoned building, the ghost horse is wailing, for some reason. Grief? It seems to be leaking a lot. Maybe it really was hurt during the skirmish. More ghosts surround it, it’s a rather creepy scene but it also has sadness in it. It’s kind of hard to put into words.
Tumblr media
The contrast of that with the dawn is also rather nice. Superb work, Ms. Sundberg.
That was the end of the chapter. Next is chapter 14. Geez, I didn’t think a crewmember would really be in mortal danger...I know I have talked before about how dangerous something is, or how possible it is that someone might die, but it’s so different to theorize about it and then actually seeing it happen. I have to wonder what kind of author Ms. Sundberg is, if she’ll let Tuuri die or if she’ll miraculously survive. Goodness...this may take a good while before it’s settled.
Also, I’m concerned about the potential infection in Sigrun’s arm. I hope that won’t injure her irreversibly or require amputation or something. I know Sigrun would take that like a champ, but...it’d still be quite harrowing for us readers, yeah?
Tumblr media
Chapter 14. I don’t think Tuuri’s situation will be cleared during this chapter, given how it’s a recent development, so I wonder what’ll happen during this one. The start of their journey to the point where they’ll be picked up. The problem is that I don’t think they’ll let Tuuri onto the ship because she may be infected. Even if she doesn’t die, what if she’s a carrier? I hope they’re not forced to leave her behind...
Mission Control is informed of the current situation, meaning Onni is likely to know by now. I’m surprised he’s not demanding to talk with Tuuri, or maybe he is and he just isn’t close enough to the microphone for him to be heard.
Meanwhile, outside the room, Mikkel is sealing the place Tuuri is at, establishing a quarantine for her. Reynir will stay on this part of the tank. Although the current mood they want to establish is somewhat optimistic, they also need to be ready for the worst-case scenario. Good attitude, in my opinion. It’s the right one, even if it’s kind of gloomy.
Someone really needs to fix that hole in the floor, and also disinfect it. That’s pretty much a vector of dangerous rash illness for Reynir.
If Onni doesn’t know by now, then Tuuri is willing to tell him now, but it’s not possible. You see, Onni is not in condition for that.
Tumblr media
He wasn’t hit by lightning, but the shock from the effort must have been pretty similar to that. I wondeeeeer...perhaps Reynir can tell him? If Onni is in International Mage Hub, that is. If he isn’t there for some reason, then he’s truly screwed. I just hope he finds out soon...it’d be quite horrible if he woke up and then found out Tuuri is dead, if she dies and he’s in coma. Damn, that fight the night before sure changed things around!
Lalli was right overall, they shouldn’t have taken this detour. He must be feeling so bad, maybe even blaming himself for not getting them to stop.
Tuuri is pleased, not because Onni got hit by lightning, but because this way she can run away from the need to tell Onni that she may or may not die. Not only that, she tells the rest of Mission Control to not tell him, she wants to do it herself...if she does tell him. This can only end well! That was sarcasm. He really needs to know. He’ll worry like crazy, but he needs to know. I don’t think he’ll forgive anyone if they don’t tell him, especially if he feels he could have done something about it somehow.
Goodness, how things got to this point...
I’ll stop for now.
Next time: in three updates

Impromptu Nursing
VRAINS Rarepair Weeks 2018-2019 - Day 12: Pets/Sickfic
Summary: Kiku and Takeru have planned on seeing each other after weeks and months of not doing so because of the distance. There is, however, kind of a knack with it: he doesn't show up at their meeting point. Instead, she goes to his place and decides that he needs to be taken care of instead of apologizing to her.
Fandom: Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS Ships: Entrustshipping (Takeru/Kiku)
Wordcount: 1.9K words
Notes: Justice for Shoichi, the best wingman ever. YOOOOOO BEST PROMPT IS HERE You gotta have to thank Michevalier for the sudden Entrust inspiration. I'm writing almost the opposite as she does (with my floof and all), so make sure to check her fic too, xoxo, Fly. It's very fluffy for once, considering I slapped a thing from a Cardcaptor Sakura special manga chapter on there for good measure.
Event hosted by @vrainsrarepairweeks
AO3 version available here.
Winter break’s cold winds blows through Den City as Kiku steps down from her train. Still very little used to the city’s busier atmosphere compared to her countryside hometown, she made sure to plan where she had to meet up with Takeru: a park downtown, in front of a hotdog truck named Café Nagi. He also accompanied the explanation with a picture of some of his friends from the city:  on it, Takeru was smiling, arm wrapped around the shoulder of a blue-haired boy around their age named Yusaku. Right behind them was an older, purple-haired man named Kusanagi who couldn’t be that much older than them.
Takeru has almost insisted for her to meet them and not just with him. He has told her countless stories about them, how they had all met. His eyes were shimmering whenever he talked about Aoi’s exploits, how they saved Miyu, how Yusaku was a great friend to have, how Kusanagi’s advice was either fantastic or hilariously terrible, and then there was this little guy in his Duel Disk that’d say something witty and she’d giggle. He was so excited for it, how could she not be as excited herself?
And then it turns out he wasn’t at their meeting point.
She does see Yusaku eating a hotdog and Kusanagi asking what she wants to get for herself, but there is no Takeru to be seen. She has to apologize: she’s sorry, she isn’t here to order anything. At first, the man looks confused, and she wonders if she hasn’t stumbled upon very coincidental identical people. That would be very unfortunate, because she’d have bothered people who have nothing to do with whomever she is searching for. Soon after, however, he remembers what Takeru has told him and greets her with a great smile.
“Oh, you’re Takeru’s childhood friend, ain’t ya? Sorry to tell ya this, but he isn’t here today!”
The astonishment is full on her part.
“Ex… Excuse me?”
“Yeah, he just… didn’t come here, for some reason… He isn’t responding to neither Yusaku or me.”
“Oh, I see…”
Kusanagi seems down from having to tell her this as her mind starts racing. If Takeru isn’t here, it may be because he’s slipping back into his shut-un lifestyle, and she doesn’t want that to happen again. This is bad…
She’s starting to panic when the hotdog seller’s voice breaks her away from her thoughts and brings her back to reality.
“Hey, I’ve got an idea! Why don’t you go pay him a visit? I’m sure he’d be very happy to see ya!”
“Ah, I’d love to, but I don’t know where Takeru lives here. He hasn’t given me his address…”
“That’s nothing! Gimme two sec’, I’m gonna grab ya a piece of paper and write it there, you can use your phone’s GPS to get there! Don’t forget to give us some news when you’ll be there, okay?”
Kusanagi doesn’t fail to deliver. Barely minutes later, she’s back on her feet, phone in one and the piece of paper in the other in case her map app bugs on her and she has to input the address again. What a resourceful man… She can perfectly see why Takeru was so happy to introduce him to her. Yusaku didn’t say much, but his little thumb-up to her was very charming to see anyway. They do seem like very nice people, she’s glad Takeru is their friend, that he can count on them when he’d be otherwise isolated in a busy, bustling city. It means he has people to rely on whenever he needs help.
On the other hand, Kiku feels a great deal of anxiety when she notices Takeru still isn’t responding to her text messages. She has attempted to call him several times since arriving in Den City, sometimes even if just to ask where to go (and have an excuse to hear his voice yet again, goodness she loves hearing his voice so much), but he has never picked up either. At first, she thought he was busy with his friends at the café, and considering how forgetful he was, it was totally plausible. However, knowing he wasn’t there and has never been, she felt shivers going down her spine. It sounds like an ominous recipe for disaster, if you ask her.
She clutches her phone in her hands whenever she isn’t looking at map instructions, hoping it’s just because he’s too busy and is late, but the worried glance Yusaku and Kusanagi exchanged earlier didn’t indicate it was any better than that. Maybe he’ll call her back or respond to her message, so she keeps the vibrator turned on.
Please be alright, Takeru, she often finds herself whispering under her breath as to feel less alone.
After feels like too much time spent in unknown streets, she finally finds the apartment complex where Takeru lives. Her phone not being able to track his exact position down, she instead relies on instincts and following number logic. His mailbox seems to indicate a floor and a flat number: that hads to be where she’s headed. Even climbing the stairs, as the elevator is broken and out of commission as a result, doesn’t feel like a chore and more like a time loss. She senses that something’s wrong, a feeling that is fogging her mind to the point all she can think about is reaching his flat and know what was wrong. Once facing the door, which she almost misses because her attention has been hindered, her hit isn’t a miss: his name is indeed on the small nameplate next to the door and right over the ringbill.
There is no immediate response, and she’s very much tempted to ring again, until the door opens and she gets faced by her precious Takeru and his… sickly appearance, to say the least.
She has known him for long enough to know it when his skin is paler, and even then, it’s obvious enough for anyone to see it. A thick red hue covers his otherwise cadaveric face, his glasses are covered in fog (she’s surprised he’s even wearing those…) and there are deep dark rings under his eyes. Sweat is pearling down his temples and his half-opened pyjama top can only mean he’s feeling very hot in early spring.
“Ah, h-hi, Kiku…” he exhales as he realizes it’s her, a tiny smile appearing on his face.
“Takeru, are you okay?” she immediately asks, not waiting for any answer. “You look terrible!”
He looks on the side, embarrassed, and coughs in his elbow.
“C’mon in… Sorry, I slept through my alarm and…”
“It’s all fine, don’t worry, let’s get you to bed again,” she puts her hands on his shoulders and tries to get him to his room by relying on her instincts alone, but in the end, he still indicates her where to go. The flat itself is small, truly sized for one person, so it doesn’t take her more than a few coughs from him too much to find the bedroom.
Once she has made sure Takeru was back in bed and propped against pillows, she noticed a little red creature rising from his Duel Disk. It soon disappears back into it, however, and she is left wondering if it was her or it was real. Oh well, it’s not important.
“Have you eaten something yet?” she asks as she mentally makes a list of what she could have to be going out to buy.
“Well, not really, I just got out of bed… And Flame can’t make breakfast…”
Oh, so this was probably the little guy inside his Duel Disk! Takeru has described Flame as before!
“I’ll make you something with what you have then, okay? Your grandparents once told me about what they’d make for you when you were sick!”
She ran to the kitchen, which seems to be a hybrid with the theorical dining room, and takes a look through the fridge and other places to find a way to make something quickly. She settles for a cup of honey milk, not too big in case he isn’t hungry and warm enough to feel good on the throat, and a moderate bowl of oatmeal. She doesn’t really know why he had this in here, but she’s grateful for it: it’ll be just fine for her sick friend. There is no proper tray to put these on: instead, she just uses something similar found nearby. She isn’t sure what it is, but it can hold a bowl, a mug and the pills she found in his pharmacy.
Takeru gives her a smile as she puts it on his lap, making sure it isn’t burning to hold.
“Thank you very much, but you really didn’t have to…” he tells her, but she dismisses it quickly.
“Who else was going to take care of you? Your friends had no idea you were missing because you were sick… You should tell them, so they can take care of you when I’ll be back in our hometown…”
He looks at the red mug with blue stripes, holds it in his hands and, after taking a sip, looks back at her and smiles again.
“You remember this mug, Kiku?”
“Of course I do! It’s the one I gave you before you left for Den City!”
Ah, she’s so proud of him too for moving on from the Incident and rebuilding himself!
This is only for her to get restless again.
“Wait, Takeru, I don’t think you have medicine…”
“I don’t think it’s much more than a cold… Plus, I’m not gonna make you pay for this, seriously, Kiku…”
“I was only able to find fever reducers, but maybe you want cough pills?”
“I’ll be fine, I promise…”
She stares at him with the intensity of a thousand doctors and the legendary force of a hundred grandma’s remedies.
“You’re really sure about that? I saw a convenience store and a pharmacy around the corner, they’re not too far for me to get there…”
The little laugh she hears from Takeru, slightly soured down by his congested throat but still adorable to hear, almost innocent. She puts a hand on his forehead meanwhile, and sure enough, he has a fever running. It doesn’t seem to bad, however, so she just quickly grabs a washcloth in his bathroom (which is right next to the bedroom, how convenient). Once filled with cold water, she can go back to the bedroom and put it on his forehead.
“Ah, that’s annoying… I’ll have to pay you back again for this too…”
She giggles.
“You don’t owe me anything, silly! I’m glad to make sure you’ll be fine!”
“Can I ask you a last favour, Kiku…?”
His voice sounds more hesitant. Is there something wrong?
“Of course you can.”
“Can you stay with me for the day? Flame is a nice company to have, but you’re even better to have around…”
Her heart skips a beat and her cheeks heat up.
“I’ll stay here as long as I can then!”
As if synchronized, they take each other’s hand in theirs, fingers sometimes detaching so they can do other stuff on the side, like daling with the tray. They, however, enlace each other almost right afterwards, and she cannot help but feel like a guardian angel at the moment.
Takeru’s grandparents have told her before she was his guardian angel, after all, but never had she pictured that idea so much than now.
