I’ve seen a lot of talk on a “live action” into the spiderverse movie. And I have a lot of opinions on that and I thought I’d share.

First of all, spiderverse is my favourite movie. It is a masterpiece and I would die to work on the next one. I read a post ages ago, I can’t find the source so forgive me If I restate some things but, it pretty much said that trying to make a movie live action movie so soon is pretty much saying that the animated movie wasn’t good enough the way it was and we need to do the story again. Like how we’ve reboot Spider-Man so many times, if we were to re boot spiderverse, it would pretty much be saying “yeah this movie was good enough to give us the idea, but we can do it better” and that cements the idea that having a live action movie is the final goal, like a animated movie can never compare to live action. Saying that you want to see spiderverse as a live action discredits all the years and years of hard work those artists at Sony put into making that movie come to life. Spiderverse is revolutionary, it is nothing like the animated movies we’ve had in the past. It feels exactly like a live action but with the insane imagery taking it further. There is literally no way a live action could do better than the masterpiece it already is. What I’m trying to say is, pushing for a live action spiderverse is insulting to the artists because it implies that the work they did was not good enough and we need to redo it. That kind of mentality is why animation is slowly dying and Disney is pulling live action movies out its ass. Give it 10 years and maybe we can revisit the idea, but as of right now spiderverse is absolutely ground breaking and phenomenal and should not be changed. This all being said; there are so many versions of Spider-Man and so many stories. Peter Parker has animated TV shows, he has games, he has movies. There is no reason we can’t do the same with Miles. We can have miles in the MCU, and in fact I’m DESPERATE to see miles in the MCU, His character is fantastic. Miles should 100% have his own movie, but it should feel like his own. It shouldn’t feel like a remake of something else. Miles deserves better.

I really wanted to draw robot peter porker and I had so many different ideas but I thought the funniest would be to have him as a piggy bank with a massive gun and here we are. Last photo is my spidersona, Peter, and Robo Ham when they first met.

It’s my spidersona ! Me, Peter, and my robot Spider-Man who I watch YouTube videos on how to fix. Robo spider was a government project to eliminate the need for Spider-Man, but after being corrupted by a virus called V3n0m, he was thrown out. He was found by Peter, an 18 year old artist with absolutely no mechanical knowledge, and together they try and save the world while teaching robo spider to be human. I go a little too into depth with stories sometimes .... .

I don’t have time to colour it rn bc I’m super busy but my spidersona !! It’s me, Peter. And my robot Spider-Man who I look at YouTube videos on how to fix. Robo spider was built as a Spider-Man replacement/ destroyer by some government agents. But was abandoned after some defect and found by peter who is not a mechanic, and has no fucking idea how to help a robot who could pretty much kill him but wants to be human. Venom in my universe is a virus that takes over robo spider at one point. And eventually peter gains a spider qwen bot and several other models (versions) of Spider-Man. Peters home for wayward robots, if you will. I’ll try and colour him after work tonight !
