since the prisoner of azkaban movie shows a piano in the shrieking shack, here’s a headcanon for you.
in the final months of their seventh year at hogwarts, james potter (whose mum had insisted on putting him in piano lessons as a boy) played werewolves of london on the old, out of tune piano. sirius would sing, and peter would drum on the doorframe to the beat. remus, although reluctant would join in and howl during the chorus.

i don’t know why people separate peter from the other marauders or deem him lesser, just to diminish the true heartbreak that was his betrayal of the potters.
he was a marauder, same as the others, and he had been best friends with all of him. they trusted him with their lives, and the life of their very small child. that shouldn’t be brushed over.

“carpe diem” i tell myself as i order a coffee at 7 pm
“carpe diem” i whisper as i pull out of the driveway before the sun has risen
“carpe diem” i think as i watch an airplane blink in the night sky
“make your life extraordinary” i hear like an old, familiar song playing in the background
