Maybe the sunglasses weren’t such a good idea after all. “He’s just-” “I don’t want to be here so I’m extremely fucking stoned,” Anakin chimes in. “Mood,” the woman sighs with a knowing nod and sympathetic purse of her lips, turning to swipe Anakin’s card.

My thoughts: This is a hilarious modern au set around Halloween time. The imagery is amazing, and the writing is phenomenal. I love this one so much. And honestly, you'll cackle all the way through this fic. Din and Luke are very sweet together, and Anakin is the most chaotic matchmaking dad ever. 13/10 recommend this one for a hilarious Halloween time.

My thoughts: This is one of those incredible fics that you can really sink your teeth into. The world-building is intense and well thought out. This is the kind of exposition heavy fic that I go nuts over. It starts with a seemingly basic soulmate au, and then takes a hard right turn into "what would be needed to set the Stargate program up with a real investigative unit?" And the results are incredible. I love this fic, I've reread it multiple times in the last few months. It is incomplete, but it was last updated in May of 2022, so I have high hopes that it isn't abandoned.

As a bonus, it is part of a series where the second part is Meta: Casting and Stuff for Coinciding Angles which includes "Maps, logistics, casting, and meta" for the series.

But if mpreg squicks you out, feel free to skip the majority of the series and only read the 4th and 5th works so that you can fall in love with the John/Cam pairing. (There is a small mention of the mpreg situation in the 5th work, but it can easily be overlooked)
