I SENT A CORPSE TO A CHILD
...
You're too kind for your own good.
Fuck.
//Hello!! Rwat anon mod!! You're doing great lol no need to be nervous about interacting- if anything I was because I got accused of being- a not so great person yesterday and I was worried people were going to think that this character or that person was me ooc. Anyways, about rwat. They have severe intrusive thoughts constantly, and were in a manic state while sending threats and shit to paris which peaked with that package to sprite- but has now dipped down and they're more reasonable, though still unstable
i'll tell you one thing that i've never told anyone on here before. i know that this will make it publically known. but i think telling you will help.
i've done worse.
i don't know what - i've repressed most of that memory. but i was a stupid kid. i'm still a stupid adult sometimes. i probably snapped. my point is - if i can come back from that, so can you.
if you don't want to talk for now - or at all - i understand. i'll work on finding a good therapist near you who doesn't work with the cops - not sure if that's a worry you had, but easing it anyway. cops suck but if you'd like i will absolutely support you, okay? i can't go too extreme without drawing attention, but through... slight money laundering through my dude in johto i can make sure you have at least stable housing and supplies so you don't have to worry about those.
just remember. small steppy better than no steppy. and two steps forward one step back is still a net gain.

Queer people in the middle ages
Tumblr media
So, the whiny manchildren, who want the middle ages to conform to their white supremacist fantasy, also keep claiming that there were no queer people in the middle ages - or that in fact queer folks just miraculously materialized at some point in the 1970s. But let me talk about one thing: How do we know that there were queer people in the middle ages? And how do we know that actually apparently at least some queer people in the European middle ages were living fairly openly?
Now, the very obvious answer to the first question is, that we do know that biologically queerness is simply a part of human nature. We know that just some people will be queer. How many people are queer... Well, biologist and psycholigists will argue with no end about this. Because of course we cannot look at someone and say "Oh, definitely a queer person", so we can only base our assumptions on what people say when asked. And we absolutely do know that how many people will admit to being queer the less afraid they are of societal consequences. Of course, biologically we can look at some apes and will see that their group behaviors work centrally over exchanging sexual favors with basically most apes being bi... But yeah, currently we can only guess. Maybe 10% of all humans are queer in some way or form - maybe it is more like 50%, maybe even more. We don't really know.
But what about the middle ages?
See, here I gotta say that I at times am annoyed with the way a lot of queer folks interact with history by just speculating about the queerness of some well known historical figures. Don't get me wrong, quite a few of them might have been queer. But this also falls into a very typical falacy.
Basically, when we talk about history we have the bad habbit of talking mainly about a few well known historical figures. When it comes to the middle ages, this narrative tends to focus mostly on clergy and nobility. This is partly because we have the best historical record of them - but also because to this day we tend to overvalue the lives of people who have influence.
And the other falacy is, that we just assume that the Victorian ideals about sex were true in the middle ages and that henceforth people were not able to be open about it.
Because here is the thing. We actually do have records of people being fairly open about it. This is partly records we have from lower nobility and especially gentry, but at times also from the peasants and normal folks that history often tends to ignore.
See, when I look at the historical record I could not care less about the richer nobility and royalty. Because their lives could not be further removed from normal society at the time. And especially I do not really care about the politics in terms of wars and aliances and such. Because it tells us fairly little about what LIFE at the time actually looked like.
No, the stuff I find interesting is the letters send by normal people - and stuff like grafitti. Maybe diaries, we still have access too. Or one interesting source I found for the middle ages: A collection of jokes a French monk wrote down over the course of years.
Because this is the kind of source that reflects the life of normal folks a lot better than whatever political drama some duke or king or bishop was involved in.
And in those sources you will find... that people are actually fairly open in talking about queerness. Heck, we even have sources in this regard that talk about specific sexual acts. Going so far that through this we have at least some vague ideas about kink at the time (though that really is a topic on which the historical record is super light).
In fact we have sources of this sort going back to the ancient times, even. Which is also why we know that the Romans in general were a lot more put off by queerness than people in the early and high medieval times. (Mind you, this did not stop the Romans from having gay sex, they were just a lot more scandalized by it!)
Of course, this is nothing that people are taught in school. Heck, you can manage to study history and still be ignorant of this, because this is not the type of sources a lot of history is concerned with or was concerned with for the longest time. Recently this is shifting a bit - but shifts tend to be slow.
So, yes, we know that queerness was definitely something that existed in the middle ages. Yes, the time was still very heteronormative - but it was clearly also less scandalous about queerness than either the Romans or the folks in the Rennaissance.

I’ve sort of stopped posting rant peices because meh I feel like everything that’s needed to be said has been said but I just kind of caught myself analyzing SJM’s writing after my reread of the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and it led me to a comparison that somewhat allowed me to pin point why I just couldn’t really get into Feyre’s character. This is not anti Feyre before people get carried away but I do suggest you ignore this post if you’re a diehard fan even if it’s mostly an SJM critique.
For context during my first read of acotar I was a hardcore Hunger Games fan (the books because I loathe the movies). I’m talking obsessed since even before Mockingjay, the book, came out. And so Feyre somewhat gave me Katniss vibes with the whole bow and arrow/hunting theme but I say somewhat because the whole theme was ditched after the first few pages of acotar. Which isn’t a problem I mean they’re two different characters, two different stories, two different genres. (Note: absolutely no one can compare to Katniss. Additionally, Sarah can’t compare to Suzanne. But that’s just me) So the reason I still chose to do this comparison is because it sort of helped me understand why I could obsess over one character but reject the other when they hold similar traits. I think the best way I could describe it is from the beginning Suzanne Collins created a distinction between the protagonist and the situation which is so important because this allows the reader to understand details of characters surrounding Katniss and her demise while also understanding the responses she has to them as her own character. Maybe a bit confusing so let me give an example. It is explained why certain characters play a hand in Katniss’s demise like her mother, the tributes, her mentors etc very clearly, as in, we can grasp all the tragedies of their own while also understanding Katniss’s response to them separate than the readers eg. Katniss never being able to forgive her mother’s neglect at the same time that the reader understands the mother had untreated depression, the Careers trying to kill her with malicious intent but also understanding they’re basically puppets of the Capitol, Haymitch being a detoriating alcoholic she finds culpable for the lack of District winners but also knowing it’s his only way to cope with his ptsd. Anything about those characters after that is character development from what was already clearly established, more examples: the reveal of Finnick Odair’s promiscuity then learning he was being sold for sex, realizing Johanna’s lack of self preservation is because everyone she loved was murdered, and basically the whole entire book for President Snow’s character in The Balllad of Songbirds and Snakes which wasn’t even a redemption story it was just— 🤌
Whereas Sarah decides to bring up things at random when readers are suppose to have already made up their minds about Feyre’s demise. Cue in Tamlin going from having decent qualities to sudden complete douche, Nesta’s spiteful comments to suddenly she’ll save her, Lucien being a friend to suddenly he’s in debted to her, heck even —no especially Rhys’s ‘did bad things but turns out they were all for the greater good’ characterization throughout the books and everything he does is fine because of it. Because SJM uses Feyre as a way to make the readers believe how bad/good so and so is vs Suzanne who uses Katniss to provide to readers how Katniss believe’s so and so is. Then the way Sarah throws vague cryptic things to make characters seem traumatized which I’d go as far as to say is cringe borderline disrespectful the way they seem to be presented just for ‘aesthetic’ purposes instead of the very real things those topics entail (I’m looking at you Nesta’s SA plus others) but that’s another topic, I’m derailing.
Which is why I will definitely always say that from the very beginning of acotar the whole Elain and Nesta constituting Feyre’s wicked family trope fell extremely flat to me. Like I was completely unbothered— I couldn’t even bring myself to dislike them because it felt almost too obvious the way they were written plus the lack of explanation as to why?? There is this disconnection because sjm doesn’t clearly explain their behavior until way later which results in just a weird retcon type situation. Not only that but she goes on to build from it giving the sisters more importance in the series.
But whatever, that’s just my opinion. Which I’m sure has been said before in different terms.
Yet still I enjoyed Feyre book 1, although, as I made myself complete the series it seems by acosf she’s almost entirely different except for her self sacrificing qualities that tend to remain in all MC’s. I mean I really don’t think Feyre book 1 or maybe even book 2 would’ve let Rhys get away with that horrid pregnancy trope thing going on but 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not the owner of any of these characters so. In the end she’s an okay character to me, she’s a determined, loving person, but I just wouldn’t consider her a fave of mine.

More Love for Lilypad
Hi! To be honest, I don’t know why I’m writing this, I guess because reading everything has moved me more than I probably thought.
I don’t know how much text he let me put
I have read the current Lilypad publication and I honestly loved it, otherwise I would be here writing like an excited silly girl.
How do you connect the story of Luna and No Harassment with Sleeping Beauty (From the Disney movie because the original story is horrible, believe me, you wouldn’t want to use it if it were the original), it’s so beautiful that it moved me and connected me more with the ships. how much I love them and lilypad mainly sadly for my part I don’t see much art from them (I think it happens to me with ships that generally are not so popular or so loved, it happens to me with the message of love from SpearmasterXHunter, Godmode SaintXEnot, lilypad and PebblesXSun )
The topic, I loved reading these ideas that come from your ingenious and beautiful imagination, I want to read more of this and that would be all! Nice day/night :3!
PD: As a warning, I don’t know where I had to send this and I’m sorry if I didn’t have to send it here, and I take this opportunity to say that your ArtiXGourmand is simply beautiful and I adore it!
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Oh my, @amaerumeru, thank you so much for this submission!!
I’m so glad to see someone enjoy those ideas so much, and to hear my essay has inspired some more love for these two sweethearts! Seeing people sympathize at least with the fairytale stuff is a very pleasant surprise!
Regarding the lack of content, I feel you, I’ve had my fair share of rarepairs across my fandoms too (heck, I’m even considering adopting a super rare RW ship right now...), and not being able to find content of them is always pretty rough! Although for me, the struggle doesn’t always come from lacking any content of the ship, but lacking the specific kind of content I want for it.
Part of the reason why I began that extension of the Lilypad essay by listing the ship tropes I love and particularly explaining the main two was because, to me, how a ship is depicted is just as important as which ship is depicted. It’s so much so I actually won’t like content of a ship I normally love if I don’t like the way the characters are and act within it, or if I don’t like the ideas being shown through the characters enough.
Both situations exist with Lilypad, and although I can excuse the lack of content as Rain World generally not having much canon ship potential, the portrayal struggle is one I have faced in basically every fandom I’ve been in, where no one seems to really appreciate those traditional dynamics I love with the ships I enjoy the most. Most of the time I still enjoy the content because it’s pretty cute and romantic, and I don’t dislike anything about it enough to cancel out that cuteness/romance factor, but it’s still not what I love most, tailored to what I identify with the greatest; I’ll eat it, but it’s not my favorite flavor. And with the New Year and self-improvement being a common focus this time of year, I figured I’d finally get the courage to take my classic art approach with these themes now; if I can’t find someone else who’s made the content I want, I’ll make it myself (like this sketch I drew up for this post), and just maybe they’ll find me!
Tumblr media
And find someone I have! Once again, I’m so glad someone appreciates these older fairytale tropes, and I really do feel inspired to openly make more content including these ideas! I’ve always had a habit of thinking about not just ships, but fiction in general through the lens of the poetic significance characters, scenes, and plot points do or can have, and recently I’ve developed a habit of linking characters and ships back to songs and previous characters from other cartoons (like I did with Sleeping Beauty here), and trust me, if you want more content of this sort, I could both write similar essays deriving these themes within other ships AND make a lot more Lilypad content like this! I mean, after posting that addition I realized somehow forgot to talk about “Once Upon a Dream” specifically and how it so perfectly fits this ship, so I’m already probably gonna do a post and drawing on that sometime soon — !
And one last thing, thanks for liking the Artimand stuff too! Artimand is probably a better example of my “I like this ship in general, but I really wanna see more of these traditional themes in content for it“ attitude, so it’s nice to see that’s enjoyable to other people on some level too!
Big thanks for the submission, a reason to ramble even more about Lilypad and my favorite ship tropes, and inspiration to make that drawing, Meru! And hey, I love hearing the deeper reasons why other people ship what they do too, so if you ever wanna ramble about your own ships, I’m all ears!

I enjoyed your art and fluffyvenom family stories and I want to support them. But I feel like I can't. I am okay with non-binary/trans characters, but when you push a non-binary/transgender identity on a CHILD character, that makes me feel really uncomfortable. Children do not have the maturity to understand gender identity and any choices regarding it should be made when they are of age. When they are able to understand what it means and the life changing decisions that are involved. Decisions that can be irreversible. Changes that one might not agree with later in life and regret. Cathy should be non-binary as a grown adult as she would be mature enough to fully decide who she is, not at 10. I cannot call her "they" because she is only a child.
Okay. So
I'd suggest to anyone who feels this way to read more about the whole topic, since I'm sure there's a lot better written and more in depth sources out there. I can only try my best to give a satisfying, if maybe a brief response, while trying not to spend a whole week writing some hot mess of an essay about non-binary identity.
First thing first, a lot of the "gender identity should not be pushed onto kids" stuff stems from people conflating gender identity with sexuality
Which
Are COMPLETELY different things
Like NO.
So ok one can't call a kid "they" cause they're only a child, and not an adult, because "trans/non-binary kids are too young to know/decide what they are, they might change their mind later".
Most sources I've seen show that over 70% trans kids start to experience gender dysmorphia around the age of seven. Of course let's say a 13-year-old and older kids and teens would have a more advanced understanding of different gender identities and a better access to terminology and stuff, but are they still too young to "decide" what they are since they arent grown adults?
Children, pre-teens, teens and adults all do have an understanding of gender identity, but they all differ, obviously. Trans/non-binary people, no matter their age, can determine the crucial thing that is what makes them feel comfortable and good about themself, and what upsets and irks them.
As for the "life changing decisions that can be irreversible" that would come from not identifying with the gender you were assigned at birth... I'm,, getting the impression that you're referring to the actual gender affirming via healthcare...? Which btw is not performed on younger children. And is something that only starts to become relevant to think about when one enters puberty, at the earliest. And I am in no way saying that a person stops being a kid once they enter puberty or anything of sorts, but we all probably know what absolute hellhole surrounds this topic around the world and frankly I don't think I'd want to bring that to my dumb art blog.
I think all I can say about that is that it's a matter that's completely different and unique to every person who's identity falls under the trans umbrella. I feel like I can really only speak for myself. Im non-binary myself, and also person that isn't very keen to share much details about my personal life here. Cathy is not a perfect reflection of myself, even if they hit pretty close to me, especially adult Cath's character.
The thing is
Yeah, sure, a child saying that they feel or don't feel certain way can very well be a phase, but that's fine. Figuring out who you are literally consists of phases, they're parts of a journey. A journey that is different for everyone.
Of course a kid's identity, gender and otherwise is bound to change as they get older. Heck, even if a person identifies with the gender they're assigned at birth their whole entire life without ever having to give it much of a thought, their understanding of gender identity, their own and otherwise, still keeps changing through time. Figuring out who you are starts very early and goes well into adulthood and way past the age when it's considered you're "mature enough to decide". In the end, shutting down a kid trying to figure themself out is bound to do more damage than being willing to hear them out.
Tldr: non-binary kids exist and are valid. I am in no way an authority or a perfect encyclopedia
Alright
Now I think I wanna get my thoughts out about Cathy spesifically
If I ever wrote a bigger story about them (which I'd like to) the following stuff would be part of it. This might not be crucial to all that stuff mentioned before, but I feel like it's something that would be nice to add here, y'know
Some other kid might ask Cathy "wait, so, are you like a boy or a girl?" perhaps completely innocently. They don't really know what to answer.
They think they're supposed to answer "a girl" that's what everyone around her has treated her as their whole life, but something about that just doesn't feel like... themself. They feel like they like plenty of more "boyish" clothes and stuff, but answering "a boy" does not feel right either. Cathy has briefly wondered if she could actually be a boy instead, since they know that's possible, but no. It's something like both, or neither, or some third thing? Either way, it's like this feeling in their gut, that they are... something. Something that they can't quite put their finger around.
Whenever Cath voices this feeling they're usually met with "Oh, you're just a bit tomboyish, doesn't mean you aren't a girl" and that she just shouldn't think about stuff like that, but that doesn't make that feeling in their gut go away. If anything it makes them feel worse. Like whatever they are feeling is wrong, and others know better than they do, even if they aren't willing to listen thoroughly.
But when this happens with Cathy's new foster, - later adopted parents, they instead react with something more like: "okay, there are plenty of people who feel that way, some of our own friends have similar experiences." And that makes Cath feel surprised, and a lot better.
Someone, for the first time is willing to hear them out and explain that there are more options. And later they get to meet people who went through the same feelings when they were young, and hearing those things makes her feel even better.
Cathy asks if it was possible that they too, could be someone who is neither a boy a girl. "Sure it is, and you have plenty of time to figure out what suits you the best." Cath then asks if it was possible for them to actually be treated in that way? Not as a girl nor a boy but what they really feel like they are.
Cathy's fine with being referred to with terms like "daughter" or "little sister" on occasion, their name doesn't bother them, they do not mind being called "she" every now and then by people (which by the way are things absolutely valid for non-binary folks I gotta mention, many labels fall under the enby umbrella, and in the end Cathy feels like non-binary is what just feels most like themself)
They now have adults around them whom they feel like they can trust and tell everything to. Who would be ready to correct someone mistaking them for a boy, even when that person insists "well why does that kid dress like one then", or says that " "they" is not a correct way to refer to a person in the english grammar".
And Cathy's reminded that what matters the most is this moment and what feels good right now, and that they will always be loved unconditionally.

It all started in a bathroom stall. Steve and Robin had been drugged by Russians, and were high off their minds, a little less now though.
"But Tammy Thompson's a girl..."
"Steve"
"Oh... Holy shit."
Robin, his best friend, his crush at one point, like girls. He knew that if he had been who he was in high school, he would have walked away from her forever, and thank fuck that he isn't. It finally, REALLY clicked for him; girls can like girls, and boys can like boys, and it isnt weird, or of the devil, or whatever people are saying.
Now he understood one of his kids more, and thats always a plus. Will probably would have never said anything explicitly to Steve. Will liked Steve, he thought he was cool, but Will could barely work up the guts to tell Dustin, Lucas and Mike (though Mike sort of always knew) But Steve also kind of knew, so he didn't make Will come out or anything, just pulled him aside and told him that he could be who he was, and that Steve wouldn't judge.
Then Steve thought. He thought back on high school, about the weird feeling he had about Tommy H. Steve thought he just loved him as a friend would. He was wrong about that feeling. He realized he didn't have the "close friends" feeling about Tommy H. after being taken to the police station after getting into one heck of a fight with Johnathan Byers. Yeah, so those close friend feelings weren't close friend feelings. "King Steve" had once had a *crush* on Tommy H. of all people.
This didnt make any sense to Steve.
"But i like girls, i always have. How could i have like Tommy H. in that way, and still like girls" he thought
He didn't know what to do, so he asked the closes one to him, his Platonic (with a capital P) other half, his best friend, who also happened to be a lot more knowledgeable about this topic. He asked Robin.
"Hey Rob, what if someone, let's call them, Mark. What if Mark had always like girls, but one day he realized he liked a guy. What would Mark do?"
"Well, I don't know "Mark", but i assume that he would panic a bit, then go to his best friend and tell her about it, and then she would say ' Well, Mark, you can be bisexual. That means you like girls AND boys' and then she would hug Mark"
Robin hugged Steve.
"Its ok", she started, "that you're still figuring out who you are, Steve. And im always here if 'Mark' has anymore questions"
They laughed and went back to whatever they were doing on that particular night.
Then the world needed saving again, and one Eddie Munson was a suspect for murder. Dustin knew Eddie, and knew that he would never do that, so Steve had to help Dustin (and Eddie) by 1) getting rid of Vecna (a.n. getting rid of the B, iykyk) and 2) clear Eddie's name
It did not go according to plan, of course. First Steve comes closer to death than he would like, (which is nowhere near it) then Death looks Eddie in the eyes, but Eddie, being himself, looked Death straight back and told him, 'No, fuck off'. At least they finished Vecna. (as far as they know)
But the biggest thing that didn't go according to plan was Steve's new big fat crush on Eddie-fucking-Munson. Of course, because Steve needs more drama in his life, so why doesn't Life through a crush on a drama queen like Eddie (a.n. get it, cuz he's a theater kid. idec if its cannon, its just flat out true) into his life.
The worst part of it is that now Stee knows what he's feeling and has to worry about if Eddie's straight or not, and knowing his luck, Eddie was about 99.99% likely to be straight. But Steve held on to that 00.01% chance that *maybe* Eddie liked guys. But Steve? Why would someone like Eddie Munson, goofball, metalhead, and 'dragon game narrator thing', like boring old, ex-king, Steve Harrington.
But Eddie keeps looking at him in a way, a way that makes Steve feel like he might have a decent chance with Eddie. He keeps pressing up to Steve. To be fair though, Eddie does that with everyone, y'know, getting up in their faces, leaning on people. But with other people, it's only for a few seconds, with Steve, though, he lingers, like he wants to be near Steve all the time. Steve wouldn't mind that though, not at all.
Guess who Steve tells first. If you guessed Eddie, then you're wrong. If you guessed Robin, then you win! He didn't really want advice, he just wanted to tell someone; to get it off his chest.
Robin listened, as a good friend does, and they moved on from it, Steve not wanting to linger on the subject.
Then, one evening, the whole gang had come over to Steve's for a movie night. They were 2 movies in, when Eddie left to go smoke outside. Robin encouraged Steve to go with him, even though Robin didn't like that Steve still occasionally smoked, she could let it rest for a bit in the name of love.
Outside, Eddie was leaning against the railing of the back porch. Steve walked up to the railing as well, silently.
"Nice sky. Pretty stars" Eddie said, in between puffs, breaking the silence
"Yeah, it is. You happen to have an extra?"
Eddie handed Steve a spare cigarette and handed him his lighter as well. The two smoked in silence for about 10 minutes.
"Didn't know you smoked, Steve"
"Surprised?"
"Yeah, i guess. I don't really know. I've been thinking, y'know. Before a few months ago, the only way i knew you was by how you were in high school. Dustin had told me you changed, and i guess i believed him, but I never knew how much you'd changed. I've said it before and i'll say it again, you're a good guy, Steve. Hell, you're a great guy, and i guess I'm still jealous of-"
"Of what?" Steve interpreted him. "Of my stupid hair? Of how i can't win a fight? Of my stupid fucking polo shirts? What's there to be jealous of?" Steve said the last sentence quietly, looking down at the ground below the porch.
"Steve..."
"Hm?" Steve said without looking up. He had already gotten through his whole cigarette and Eddie was just about done with his when he said:
"You know how much Dustin talks about you? The kid sees all the good in you, which, to be fair, is most of you. You're funny, and smart, and you may not win fights, but you sure as hell give it your all." Steve looked up at him, eyes tearing up.
Steve bit his lip to try and keep himself from crying, but it was no use, the tears had already started streaming down his face. Eddie ashed his cigarette and hugged Steve, giving him a shoulder to cry on. They swayed ever so slightly, which was comforting to Steve, even though he felt bad about crying in front of someone, much less in front of Eddie.
Steve cried for a few minutes, and when he had gotten most of his tears out, Eddie leaned back and wiped the tears off of Steve's face, cradling his cheek. Steve rested his forehead on Eddie's and before he knew it, Steve was kissing Eddie Munson.
When the two walked back into Steve's house, instead of going back to their original seats (Eddie next to Dustin on one couch and Steve next to Robin on the other) Steve and Eddie squeezed next to Robin (who was next to Nancy YIPPEE) and cuddled. Robin scooted closer to Nancy to give the two more room on the couch (and to be closer to Nancy) and Mike sat where Eddie had been sitting, and Will scooting closer to the couch Mike was on, but still sitting on the floor. Lucas, El and Max were already halfway asleep, so they didn't really realize anyone had moved, and Erica couldn't have cared less, because she had her ice cream and that was all that mattered.
And the rest if up to you and your imagination cuz i dont wanna keep writing :D Hope u liked :)

THIS is an @atbussysparks side blog. I will be attempting to re-write bride of discord (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。
Rights to the original property belongs to DisneyFanatic2364, the author of bride of discord, daughter of discord, and any other spin-off. This blog was not made to try and one-up the original, but to show love and appreciation for the original fanfiction that touched the hearts of people around the world. (*˘︶˘*).。*🩷
The original blog @brideofdiscord-rewritten an entirely separate acc bc I didn't know how to make a side blog back then 😅 but that's also me!!! I can't log into that acc now
Let's lay down some ground rules!
꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍🩷
If you're a younger child (younger than 14) please blacklist the announcement/update tags! I use foul language, and though you might use it yourself or hear it every day, I ain't tryin to get sued
The story itself is SFW and will not contain any more than subtle pg-13 jokes and light drinking (imo daiquiris don't count lol)
All celebrities, movies, songs, books, and other real life media names will be changed into bad horse puns.
I will omit some ridiculous examples of discord being emotionally or mentally abusive past the point in which he has fully developed as a good character. Instead he will face consequences.
Some characters will be queer or LGBTQ+ but no references will be made to their sexuality. Only romance.
The last bullet point goes for the straight relationships as well!!
I have a playlist for the story on Spotify named "Bride of Discord rewritten (fluttercord)
Voodoo and hoodoo will be shown in a respectful and realistic manner, and I will attempt to show Zecora in a non-stereotypical manner.
Spike will still have a crush on rarity, but spike being a romantic interest for adult ponies, or having his feelings reciprocated in any way will be removed from the story.
I will attempt to keep an early 2010s feel and humor, but there're also so many american exclusive jokes and media references from past that time to make
If this were turned into an audio drama (nudge nudge wink wink) I would love to voice characters or draw for the video

Scarlett: Slumber Party!!! 😝
Dusk: hooraah....
Aurum: I don't think I should be here dear sister. I'm far too old to participate in this type of merriment.
Scarlett: Oh, pish posh. You are never too old for slumber party. 😊
??? : This is stupid...
Scarlett: Oh c'mon, live a little. Take chances, climb the highest mountain or having a slumber party with your half-sister. 🤗
??? : I'll pass...
Aurum: Little brother you are being rude to our little sister. She went through all of this trouble to invite all of us here. And considering we're from different timeline that is an incredible achievement.
Dusk: You mean you won't stay and play with us... *starts tearing up*
Scarlett: Uh Oh. Big brother is making her cry. Now you have to feel sorry for her and stay to make her happy. 🥺
???: You're not supposed to tell me that, you know. But anyway, come here Dusk. *Hugs her* I'm sorry if I make you cry. I didn't mean to. I'll stay and play with everyone. Even though I never wanted to. So don't cry.
Dusk: *wipes tear* Okay, big brother.

Scarlett: (what a pushover😏) So for the first activity we are going to do. Drumroll please. Prank call! 😁
Dusk: Ooohh.... What is it?
Aurum: Yes, what is it?
???: You have to be kidding me. How a grown ass man never heard of a prank call?
Aurum: That's because I spend most of my childhood training in order to be as good as my father. Because I was and still are not as strong as my father. That does not leave a lot of time for socializing, unfortunately.
Scarlett: Ooff. Heavy topic. Hey, you guys wanna do prank call or what? I'll go first. 🫤

Scarlett: That's awesome little sis. I'm so proud of you 🤩
Aurum: Even though I do not support this sort of shenanigans. Even I can tell you did great. You use the man's weakness and turn it into your advantage. If you were one of my Knight I would have commended you the same.
??? : Are you sure this is the right thing to teach to little children?
Scarlett: Are you sure you want to do this? After all its your turn next. 🙄
??? : I have to politely refuse. Thank you very much.
Scarlett: Ha, ha, ha... I'm afraid it's too late for that. We are too far gone already now come and take your turn...
Tumblr media
??? : Uhhh.... Alright give it to me.
Scarlett: Yay! Way to go big bro. Here you go. 🥰

Klein: Hello Schnee's residence.
??? : Klein please give the scroll to Weiss.
Klein: I'm sorry, but who is this?
??? : Tell her it's from Jaune Arc. Tell her I have something important to tell her.
Klein: I will tell the young miss about it. Can you wait until then?
??? : Thank you Klein....
Weiss: Okay spit it out vomit boy what is it so important that you have to call my house. And secondly how the heck did you managed to have my house phone's number?
??? : .....
Weiss: Arc?
??? : .....
Weiss: Jaune...
??? : .....
Weiss: Hey if this is a prank. I'm going to hang up Jaune.
??? : Hello...
Weiss: You're not Jaune?
??? : Ha, ha.... No. Let's just say I'm close to you and leave it at that.
Weiss: Who is this?! If you don't tell me who you are...
??? : No you listen to me!!! I always wanted to say that to you... If I did that... If I did that no one would have to die...
Weiss: What the hell does that have to do with anything?
??? : EVERYTHING!!! Everything is your fault! You are responsible for everything that will happen. Not just to me but everyone! Everyday I wish was not your... Everyday I wish I was never been born!.... Ha, ha, ha, ha... *sniff* Weiss go kill yourself... I mean it. End your life and do us all a favor. Because if not I will find you and kill you... And I'm going to take my time with it. I'm going to savor and enjoy it as long as I possibly can. Until you beg me to end it.... I'll see you soon.

I think it’s interesting that people tend to characterize pre-distortion Michael as a person who was simply a very sweet, generally clueless/awkward/silly person-
I don’t mean “it’s interesting” as in “I hate this and you’re wrong”, I genuinely love people’s characterizations of him, their interpretations are often really friggin cute, I mean that I think it’s interesting how people have interpreted distortion-Michael’s comment on his pre-distortion “ignorance”- at least, that’s where I’m ASSUMING it’s coming from? Or maybe people just auto-blorbo’d him cause we don’t know much of anything besides the… honestly frustratingly small amount of information about him that we’ve got from the episodes- /lh
Pre-distortion Michael, to me, feels… definitely kind, well-intentioned, and socially awkward as heck — the kind of awkwardness that includes: mild-to-moderate stammering when asked questions in that tone that means “you did something wrong”, tries to make conversation and keeps trying to do so with different topics if one fails to actually stick, at least until he can’t think of anything else or feels like maybe he’s just actively being ignored, at which point he makes an excuse and an awkward “bye” and leaves to mull over and stress out about how awful that interaction was and how dumb he must have seemed — (wow sorry that was unexpectedly detailed) but also like the kind of person who would probably have been able to do pretty decently as an assistant and whatnot if anyone had actually bothered to let him know what was happening and how it worked.
Listen, there’s a reason he’d been sent on trips for the institute before, (not necessarily only for Gertrude, either, he’d gone on little expeditions for the institute in general), and hadn’t just been confined to a desk job where he was filing papers or something in the years before the final trip with Gertrude.
It’s reasonable to assume that he was, in fact, considered extremely capable, instead of seeming like some throwaway, “red-shirt”, bumbling “klutz”- I think he just saw himself that way. Think Edward Nygma in season one of Gotham, (minus the riddles, and less okay with blood).
Also, the distortion implies that when Michael’s friend, (Ryan Nolastnæm Fursumreason), died to the spiral or distortion, he was reacting to something that he could see and Michael couldn’t, and basically said that the whole experience never left him, probably influencing his studies very significantly because it had bothered him so much. It wasn’t necessarily just the fact that his friend had died in such an unnatural way that had haunted him. It was the thing Ryan saw, the thing Michael couldn’t see, that terrified him. Because it was out there, still. He could feel it, somewhere, somehow. In his head. Like it was waiting for the moment where it could sink its claws and teeth into him and pull… and rip… and break him in two, scattering the pieces of his mind like it had done to his friend’s.
It was going to hurt him, too, he knew it. And he had to be prepared. Perhaps to fight- or perhaps, more likely, to run away. To get out and be free, and not be chased after by it any more, or run far enough so that it could not reach him could not place him in that centre of the place it kept his friend in and
Head trauma.
He had been drunk and hit his head. That was the story that the police had told to Michael, and he half-believed them. He didn’t want to believe that the thing Ryan had seen was real. It wasn’t real. It couldn’t have been, because there wasn’t anything there to be real, there was nothing there-
No, it was alcohol. Mixed with whatever sort of thing had already broken his friend’s head.
He had been screaming…
No, he wanted to forget. Not to think about it, not to dwell on the thing further, he had an answer. And that… had to have been what had happened.
And he didn’t want to know what else it could have been.

Okay, the anthropology degree is clawing at the inside of my bones. I haven’t seen anyone study the Blasphemous Serpent to a satisfying degree and I might just teach myself how editing works explicitly to explain at length why it’s fascinating as hell.
Like. Basic recap:
Mentions we have of living gods include Marika/Radagon as emissaries of the Greater Will; the Twinbird, mother of the Deathbirds; the Scorpion God sealed under the Lake of Rot, succeeded by Malenia; and potentially Shabriri. I would also argue that Godwyn’s corpse counts, at least as a figure of worship and the main vessel of Death Blight.
The Blasphemous Serpent isn’t as abstract as the Greater Will, the Scarlet Rot, or even the Moon- people enact the theoretical will of these things, but we never see them except through representations. You could argue that all Rot is the Rot god, for example. But the Serpent is a singular entity with agency, plans, and perhaps even actual emotions to some degree. You can find its skin in Mt. Gelmir. When we face the lord of the manor, it’s a combination of Rykard and the Serpent. How much is left of Rykard is debatable, but considering we talk to his face in its throat rather than the snake itself, I feel like he’s definitely still present in some sort of partnership.
Then there’s the gladiators to consider, the Formless Serpents, and the Serpent God’s Curved Sword.
Most armor and weapons we have that directly reference the Serpent talk about Rykard, his devouring, and the reaction of his men. After that comes the man-serpents and their own innovations in magic and lava-forged weaponry. There isn’t a lot of content about before Rykard made his bargain, and the culture of Mt. Gelmir before a wayward son of Caria got it into his head to kill the gods by becoming one. Why he thought that was a good plan is its own topic.
But we have clear indications of Leyndell’s attitude towards the Serpent, what it might have been up to, and the behavior of the people loyal to it. Heck, it’s called the Blasphemous Serpent. If we assume the blasphemy is against the Golden Order, what does that look like? What does that mean?
Before I run away with that, let me show you why I’m so fixated on this.
Tumblr media
I am haunted. I’m obsessed. The only other weapon I know of off the top of my head that’s blatantly stated to be used for sacrifices is the Sacrificial Axe, which depicts a Deathbird.
Both of them restore a bar- the Curved Sword restores HP, the Sacrificial Axe restores FP. I’m also very interested in comparing this sword to the Blasphemous Blade, which we get right out of the gullet of the Serpent itself, which is covered in the still-living remnants of previous sacrifices and also restores HP.
Some comparisons could be drawn between the idea of the Crucible and what the Serpent is doing- Rykard prattles on about the idea of joining together as family, bound together by blood, and through that union devouring the gods too. If devouring isn’t destruction, but unification, that matches up with what we hear from Shabriri and Hyetta about the Frenzied Flame wanting everything broken down into the great One again.
And the topic of blasphemy- particularly the gladiators and their armor. Like the heel in wrestling, it seems some prisoners might have been dressed in Serpent imagery and then sent into the arena for not just entertaining bloodletting, but perhaps particularly vengeful and politically-minded bloodletting showing the superiority of Leyndell’s might over the barbaric followers of the Serpent. There’s an interesting video on YouTube showing that the serpent armor might not just be superficial- it could be piercing into the flesh of the gladiators, or worse. I’ll have to study them again to see if any serpents come out of them.
That speaks of an old hate, targeted. Granted, it’s always nice to have a scapegoat to shake a fist at to distract the populace from your failing regime, but the inescapable Satan analog is almost too easy. What’s going on here? Who lived on Gelmir, what was compelling about the Serpent as opposed to the Erdtree, what was it like before Rykard, what exactly is the blasphemy being reviled here?
I’m going to do something about this at some point, just black out and wake up with a video essay on ancient serpent cults, and then I will finally have sweet release from my hyperfixation. Maybe.
There’s always the rune on the Moon and the ghost-banners around Leyndell after that.

Let’s Talk About: Starseeds
Ohhh I have so many thoughts. Mostly, I used to write views pieces every week in college and I really enjoyed having a public written forum to express my frustrations and thoughts. I don’t have all the answers on this topic, but maybe this opens up a dialogue we can all grow from.
First, what the heck is a starseed?
The concept of starseeds are rooted in the thought that there are different soul races or more like origin points and that embues the soul with certain advantages in certain areas, like technology for example. I sort of think of this as like soul expertises and certain groups have certain more innate skills.
The idea is that earth is on a trajectory for self-destruction and that other groups are trying to help earth evolve. These other races or soul have charitably infiltrated earth as a way to help it evolve.
These starseeds incarnate as earth humans to help teach lessons about unconditional love—something humanity struggles with— and the way society could be—think less capitalism, more secured housing and being able to do with your time whatever inspires you because you are given what you need. Different soul origins have different specialties, not all other places are benevolent. Some other places don’t value emotion the same as others. It’s just differences.
So what’s the big deal?
Tumblr media
I struggle with the starseed concept because I feel like creating groups creates exclusion. Maybe it’s hard for me as a human to think differently, but I feel like if there were races and other labels based on inherent differences in soul fabric, it would create this idea of division rather than unity.
It’s hard for me to see soul ages or hierarchies of any kind in the energetic world because that’s not how they communicate and organize group structures. So many spiritual teachers say that certain souls are considered grand masters, and older souls are wiser, certain souls are special or this rare thing. It’s all ego stroking to feel special.
They don’t organize souls by races or by gender or any of these human labels. I think people apply human labels because they can only conceive of things through human understanding. That’s why I struggle for words sometimes because the thought itself is outside the realm of humanity.
The way I can explain it is they see things as just purely differences. There’s nothing attached to it. It’s like every element of all these energies are needed to make a full picture. You’re pink. I’m blue. Because both colors are needed equally. Full acceptance of what you are.
Spirituality as a means to uphold the capitalistic patriarchal status quo:
I struggle with how the spiritual community upholds so many gender stereotypes through the perpetuation of male and female energies. I prefer to say assertive and receptive energies, knowing when to push or pull. Because assigning certain traits as masculine or feminine is upholding a capitalistic economic system that encourages certain traits in men because they are useful for labor and certain traits in women because it’s useful for childrearing.
And yes, I believe anything connected to gender or sex is ultimately a direct reflection of the patriarchy and what it imposes on us all. So in order to truly free our LGBTQIAP+ family and friends, we have to abolish the patriarchy. It is the ideology that uphold men as superior to women.
Why are MTF individuals highly targeted, because to step down from a position of power is so confusing and upsetting on a subconscious level for many men. This is deeply ingrained patriarchal poisoning. The same poisoning that had women voting for Trump. We have to truly become equals to end the patriarchal system and that only happens when people understand each other on a very deep level.
How is it capitalistic?
Glad you asked! The concepts around starseeds are still steeped in capitalistic spirituality, the form that also produces scammy gurus. So many people use this idea and concept to prey on vulnerable people and make money. When more people buy into a trend it creates a larger energy imprint because more collective people are thinking about the same thing. That’s why I don’t like to use the term twin flame, the toxic collective thoughts around the term.
This idea of starseeds still envisions a world of cities, people focused on technology, all HUMAN things. Do you see what I’m saying about the mind being limited? We cannot conceive of how else it may be because we only know this experience of ourselves through our humanity. I have memories of being able to do other things, but I believe those skills used to be more easy to do on earth. It’s heavier here now and the energy doesn’t support it. Like bending elements.
This world still has governing bodies, it envisions a more utopian version of the capitalistic world we already have. They envision these races upholding diplomacy and how some places are bad and others are good. And this is the capitalistic colonizer mindset! This group of souls is low vibe and evil and this group is high vibe and benevolent. That’s why I try not to talk about lower energies negatively. That energy is needed as part of the full mural of existence. To label one as lesser or less desirable, it’s not how it is. They are just different.
The issue at the moment is that the balance is uneven on earth, too many lower vibratory energies are being supported here because of all the destruction to the earth (thriving plants help absorb so many of those lower vibes). That’s why we’re all here to “raise the vibration” To try to rebalance the planet before it falls off the table.
And the idea of starseeds is sort of racist:
There are certain “good races” like the Pleiadeans who are known to have Nordic features, while certain “bad races” or “low vibe” races like the reptilians (which is actually anti-Semitic), are displayed as less colorful—grey or black, dark colors. I feel like I don’t have time explain that that also mirrors currently valued physical features which are again, human understood features. The having to go through mind to translate is so fucking hard y’all!
In conclusion:
The idea of starseeds is challenging for me because I feel so vastly that there are other places we experience other humanoid experiences and some of us do prefer other places over others. I’ve said before I’m not a huge earth fan. But so much of the modern spiritual concepts people perpetuate, since it’s almost a collectively held thought now, are rooted in racism and capitalism and sexism and things I just fucking hate about humanity!
So while I see myself reflected in qualities of the races of starseeds I’ve read about, and while I feel like some of the ways the other planets are described feels familiar, I also can use my discernment to say, some of that doesn’t resonate with me or make sense so I discard it. I find learning about starseeds is helpful just like learning about astrology is helpful. They are all tools for self understanding.
But it’s also important to call out things that perpetuate systems of oppression. Because that’s the exact shit we’re trying to liberate from.

VH Question that keeps me up at night: Does it seems to you like they don't get as much recognition as they do the other titian/old bands???
Like it feels like they should be BIGGER than they are or more in the mainstream consciousness, like I'm late twenties and love them but I know if I mentioned Van Halen to any of my friends my age they'd go "Hmm?" Bit if I said Rolling Stones, Kiss, AC/DC, or Def Leppard, heck probably even Cinderella they'd be like "oh yeah" even if they weren't into that kind of music???
Like I know some of those bands I listed bad been around longer than VH but still. Like Bowling for Soup mentioned Van Halen in a song and I think South Park did a VH cameo during the mid 2000s tour but, they're not even talked about that much in general media either (unless I just don't watch as much TV which could be it lol)
You can't even say it's because of the dysfunction that they didn't take opportunity to cement themselves because there are waaaaaaaay more bands with worse drug/alcohol/in-fighting issues that are still like generally popular or known today who also had a shuffle with member/singers
I just don't get it cause yeah you "could" (not that I agree with it) say some of their songs are corny by today's standards as far as lyrics....but like so are plenty of other bands from that time??? And the music itself is still holding up very well far as I can see. Like??? It's a mystery to me, I dunno... maybe I'm just around people who aren't into classic rock?
BELOVED YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY VALID for letting that keep you up at night because it weighs on my mentality too 😩☠️, van halen not being a bigger topic doesn't make sense for SO MANY REASONS, and I'd like to start with the tumblr aspect of it.
I was fairly surprised at how small the van halen circle seems to be. Now I could be closed off and unaware of other van halen blogs out there(I've personally counted maybe 15? I'm not counting fans, I'm counting blogs centered around them)but generallyyyy it's either a strictly Eddie or strictly David focused sort of thing.
Whereas bands like idk led zeppelin, kiss and the rolling stones, sure you have your individual band member blogs,, but the ratio stillll leans way more towards overall band blogs, and the fandoms definitely seem more prevalent.
But on the overall rock topic aspect, van halen LITERALLY HAS DAVID LEE ROTH, EDWARD VAN HALEN, ALEXANDER VAN HALEN, MICHAEL ANTHONY, SAMUEL HAGAR AND GARY "GARETH CHERERONI" CHERONE!
WHOOOO may I add are all iconic in their own rights, just as iconic as all the bands that are prevalently talked about. So it really confuses me as to why van halen seems so overshadowed when at a point in time they were the ones casting the shadow 😩! (Cough cough Edwards guitar playing SHAKING UP the scene....)
Don't get me started on corny lyrics from band to band, I could go...on a tangent, but I'll chill 😭 plus corniness is endearing haha, so it's definitely not a lyrical thing. And it's definitely not a problematic band thing. DEFINITELY NOT 😩☠️☠️☠️....they're quite low on that scope in my opinion.
MOMENTARILY the van halen Tumblr fandom livened up a bit when that Eddie Munson from stranger things started getting compared to Eddie V.H,,, but that was quite short lived and probably produced 20 van halen fans out of the hundred that just found an extension of Munson out of E.V.H.
But anyway yes anon we both share a sleep paralysis demon named whythefuckisvanhalensleptoneisha and she's unfortunately not in a hurry to move out...
BUT I WILL KEEP BLOGGING VAN HALEN AND EVENTUALLY PEOPLE will start a rebellion....vanhalenizing the classic rock tag one post at a time....

The Vampire antisemitism problem
Tumblr media
Okay, folks, Castlevania: Nocturne releases tomorrow and I might as well now talk about this topic, because it is an important one and I realized that a lot of folks do not realize this is a thing.
So, let me be blunt about it: A lot of the original, gothic literature that created vampires how we know them today was technically anti-queer, but most of all antisemitic. And because of that a lot modern vampire media often unwittingly reinforces the antisemitism within vampire horror.
Let me explain.
I think most people understand that those original big vampires (Carmilla, Ruthven and Dracula) are in their text explicitly queercoded. And that is alright, because by now queer people have reclaimed the vampire for themselves. Heck, they actually did so by the 1970s.
But there is another thing that mostly comes out of Dracula. As much as Dracula is a story about queerness "currupting" the "innocent", it is also a story about the British fear of reverse colonization. A lot of people reading Dracula today go about Jonathan's experiences in Transylvania and go like: "Oh, you are a bit of an idiot, aren't you?" When he is so confused about local customs - and also is super ignorant about literally everyone warning him. But... back in the day this was part of the horror. The strange "uncivilized" country was the picture Stoker was going back. Eastern Europe was (and still is by many) seen as less civil than Western Europe. And also... for a plethora of historical reasons also was home to more Jewish people than western Europe.
And, well... In comes Dracula. Who is from the perspective of the book not only one of those uncivil Eastern people, but also Jewish. No, this is not text, but in the description of Dracula the book clearly calls out to antisemtic stereotypes within the description of him.
And... Well, there is the thing about the blood cabal.
For those who lived under a stone for the last 1000 years, a quick explanation: A lot of antisemitic conspiracy stuff involves a secret cabal of powerful Jewish people extracting blood from children to drink it and use it within some sort of rituals. The details change, but the general idea has been the same forever.
And... Well, to put it bluntly: A lot of the historical vampire mythology did not have them as blood suckers. At times energy suckers, yes, but often vampires of all sorts rather made you sick. The entire blood sucking thing mostly came in there through antisemitic stuff.
And a lot of modern vampire media is painfully unaware of this.
Now mind you, this topic is super complicated. Mostly because there is a big issue: You absolutely can use the same symbolism for something else. Because you do not need a secret group to be blood sucking. There is a TON of vampire media out there, in which the vampires are actually a standin for capitalists or - what I believe Castlevania Nocturne to be going for - colonialists.
But... I just wishes that people were a bit more aware about this. A bit more careful when invoking this.
Also... Just do not go with "secret vampires running the world". Just don't. If you have a secret group of vampires secretly running the world... whether you intent it or not, that story is gonna have some antisemitic subtext in there.

Who is your favorit Character out of Gofushi? Megumi or Gojo?
Hmm what a hard question, Anon-san;; Can I say I like both equally-
This post contains Shibuya spoilers.
There is a draft somewhere about why I appreciate Megumi and especially the title of his character theme "Jujutsu Sorcerer, Megumi Fushiguro".
I really like series that have morally grey characters because it's realistic. It is more interesting to read and analyze. Megumi knows that his sense of justice may not be "right", but he doesn't care about that. And I mean, what can be truly right? It's a matter of perspective in the end.
To have such conviction on his own judgement requires resolve. Because, what if the person you saved is actually bad? Megumi probably has a keen perception of people. It might be interesting to see if the manga touches more upon this topic (the whole Yuuji-Megumi angst on saving someone who will kill others in the future). But it's been done already, kinda? Anyway, someone that has a good grasp on the evil of people should also be able to see the good by contrast (this is my own belief tho... sort of like how "those that are the kindest have suffered a lot" works).
When Gojou tells Megumi that he won't measure up to even Nanami, that was like damn. Because Nanami once mentioned that when the effort you're putting is sufficient, there's no reason to go beyond it. I'm not saying that's wrong, it just reminded me of Megumi at the school festival who said something among the lines of: "As long as we don't get beaten up too bad." or "As long as we don't lose too bad."
This is a negative statement if you translate it as "he won't put a lot of effort" which contrasts with Nanami who will do more when needed against Megumi who when forced might just Mahoraga lul
Maybe this isn't the right example to use;; but anyway, when he decides to break free from that mentality of not giving his all, he is able to use his domain expansion. A technique that brings forth a sorcerer's innate domain into being. I think that this innate domain requires that the sorcerer has a meaning of self since it's sort of like showing your mind in the real world. This action demands the sorcerer to have a defined sense of existence, a formalized ego (?). And that's how he became a proper (?) sorcerer. Yer a jujutsushi, Megumi.
That last paragraph was probably confusing.
He discarded his old mentality and became stronger. Changing one's ego is hard after all.
Hmm, it still feels like I'm scratching the surface. Megumi post-Shibuya and in the culling games was a highlight to me. I won't go further into this since it spoils more;; But I was cheering after Megumi when he went into badass mode ;-; that character growth.
It's ironic because he became a sorcerer for another person, and even though it wasn't out of his own volition, his character theme's title recognizes that he is a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
He is also the smart type uwu and I like how he asks questions because he just wants to confirm his own thoughts instead of being nosy (as explained by Gege in the fanbook about the chapter "A taste of things to come"). That's right, let's go in the pursuit of truth!
Have I mentioned how I approve of his rule of interaction with strangers too? It's basic decency @_@
Uhm, yeah most likely there is stuff that I haven't gone into about Megumi, but I also mentioned that I like both equally;; Even though I haven't written a Gojou appreciation draft (yet?!) so I don't have a lot of references for it. Because of that, the next section might be all over the place OTL
I have a very soft spot for those that act dumb/happy but have gone through awful stuff in the past. They've been hurt but prefer to act as if they're okay to others.
WHEN IT IS NOT. LIKE, HECK, GOJOU, YOU JUST KILLED YOUR BEST FRIEND AND YOU ACT ALL CHEERY/NORMAL IN FRONT OF YOUR STUDENTS. Bruh.
Putting up those walls to protect themselves, trying to not look weak/showing their true self in front of others. A misdirection to throw off people from what they are actually going through. Even though he is talkative, it's hard to get to know what he really thinks.
And he also had to check up on his students after the fight o_o his priorities.
He (most likely?) didn't have a good upbringing, what with being the 6E+L user after 400 years and solo carrying the Gojou clan on his back. Then he acknowledges that curse exorcism is not something that kids should go through and wishes for them to enjoy their youth (gee I wonder why). Remember how he changed the last event of the school festival to baseball? even though my shounen-loving ass wanted to see 1v1 tourn- reject jujutsushi, embrace a normal sport.
Overworked and... what hobbies? Gojou can be the best at anything he attempts, but he doesn't try so that others get an opportunity. Yeah, yeah, bragging hah, but if that's true then idk man, Gojou would not be living life, he is just existing ._. at least there are sweets and he can sightsee during work B)
Moreover, being good at anything he tries is kinda dooming.
The way he wants to change Jujutsu Society is also well thought out when compared with other propositions. I can't come up with elaborate essays so here is an interesting one. You can scroll to the last two paragraphs if it's long xd
Anyway, wanting to protect Riko's decision by fulfilling her own personal wish, the differentiation (or not) of being the strongest and Gojou Satoru (notlikethis Getou), his inability to save people despite being the strongest...
Yeah, it's kind of "funny" because his decisions lead to bad outcomes. Even though he did them because he is human after all. If they just brought Riko straight to Tengen then it (Tengen) wouldn't be going through digievolution, and maybe Kenjaku's plans would be different. But they didn't, he didn't want to, because he empathized with her.
He got sealed because he did appreciate the time when he was friends with Getou (and still considered him his friend after his defection).
Sometimes I enjoy the narratives where they characterize Gojou as someone that is akin to a god or that he isn't human, but I honestly think he is just a very weird and cringe human hahaha that's what being the 6E+L user does to a person. You grow up with high expectations placed by others. An adult that acts like a kid at 28 because he didn't have a childhood, and also, life is boring and tiresome so gotta do something fun every now and then.
Ugh the Gojou section is hard to follow >_< Anon-san, I rambled a lot, it's kinda all over the place haha;; and I didn't even answer who I like more which is strange because in other ships I have a favourite.
I like Megumi for his realistic views as a character (although he's too mature for a 15 yo) and even though he is all grumpy he truly cares about others (his gap is too good, I'm all for gaps), and I like Gojou because he is a complicated character. In the end, gofushi is truly a pair for me...
Ah gofushi >w< Megumi acts old for his age and Gojou acts young for his age, because of the way they grew up LOL (prob shouldn't be laughing about bad childhoods o_o)
All of this is based on my own thoughts so others with different views on the characters can disagree with what I wrote.
Thank you very much for the ask, Anon-san! The answer it's.. uuh kinda long I think;; Now I wonder which character people like out of gofushi? I'm quite interested in the why's owo

So, it is about that election year time again
First I will eventually, hopefully write a Christmas post. Right now the hectic, crazy, unsettling moments of the holidays are driving me bonkers. I know everyone wants peace on earth right now and yours truly is no exception. Which in some says brings me to what I have planned for the first of the year. If you are a regular reader you know every four years I offer a potential platform of a party not named democrat or republican. The current morass in my head not withstanding I will be putting this together for next year.
And the current morass and maybe even molasses in my head is preventing me from thinking clearly this wonderful holiday season. I cannot even write two sentences before I sidetrack myself no end. I have already forgotten more thoughts in the last two minutes than I can conceive. And another reason I am trying to write something today. I plan on including in this post an outline of what the platform may encompass once I finally get around to it after the year starts.
Some other quick thoughts. First the Cowboys have no business being in the playoffs if they cannot win two competitive games in a row.  They beat the Eagles then lay an egg against the Bills. They have to be ready to beat teams that are desperate this time of year because all teams will be or at least should be desperate for the playoffs. And I had no intention of saying anything about the Cowboys when I sat down, but my brain is on synopsis overload and nothing is firing in any kind of order. The Mavericks are still interesting at this point, but who knows where they really are as a team since they can’t get Luka and Kyrie together consistently yet. And I don’t blame Kyrie for anything, that was a freak injury situation. I just hope they let him fully heal so sometime in January we have a real idea of what this team can do. And yes Lively II is a wonderful and needed surprise along with and I am going to avoid saying role players because teams have stars and players. Some players have a specific role, but the term role player is way over used in pro basketball. For some people to say Exum or Jones are role players takes away from the great job they are doing as players on the Mavericks. The press, and this includes Barkley ad Shaq, needs to go back and focus on saying players on teams. Oh boy I am way off track.
Any way shape or fashion, it is the holidays, we need more of them, and even though I celebrate Christmas I am somewhat glad we say holidays for this time of year. Whether I like it or not, many people around the world are celebrating right now and of course for all the Western world it is followed by the new year parties, events and thinking. Now I will say Merry Christmas come next weekend and say it with complete joy, meaning and giving, yet it is nice to realize the world is round and we need to celebrate all of us. Yet by no means do I feel woke about all of this, just truthful.
And then back to reality. I do plan on sitting down and creating a somewhat comprehensive platform and topics will include economic, tax structure, social security, healthcare, education, world peace (foreign policy), and even wokeness. This is where it is headed for now. Things could change in a couple of weeks, heck in a couple of seconds. For now I do want to address these topics and thoughts are already creating plaque in those synopsis, but hopefully I can find enough electric impulses to push through the debris field that is my mind.
I had all sorts of thoughts when I first sat down and I wanted to talk more about what is happening on the other side of this keyboard, yet to say something now would be just too confusing. I will say right now I wish I was sitting on a beach with a very high dollar and fine glass of wine or stiff drink staring at the ocean doing nothing. Or even a coffee drink because I need to stop drinking coffee and right now in the middle of the afternoon I have a hankering to go make another pot of coffee. I am fighting the urge as I type, yet realistically I would even settle for that glass of wine even a “table” wine right now while I type. The better half and I just cannot get a moment to feel like we are living in the holidays.
And there was so much I wanted to say when I sat down that I have totally forgetten. Shoot I just got up for three minutes and have already lost track of upteen thoughts.
So I am going to end with this thought for you to digest with your eggnog. I know what heaven smells like. And if I shared the smell with anyone they would immediately get angry, scream at the top of their lungs that I have no idea what I am talking about. Heaven would never smell that way, and it is not an unpleasant order, definitely not. It is not flowery or has a bouquet smell or sweet or wispy or any other adjective that might create a sense of that is so beautiful it must be heaven. They would call me grinch for my smell because it creates no image of what people think what is heaven and here is the catch…. What heaven may smell like because….they do not realize we will not have our earthly senses in heaven. People want to project what they know upon the unknown. There is nothing inherently wrong with trying to do that, yet it can leave us gasping at a reality that does not exist. We have no idea what is heaven so my smell is just as viable as any other, and since we won’t have earthly senses in heaven and yes I know we may rise body and soul into heaven or at least some thought patterns suggest as much, we do not know at all. Everything that we interpret is a complete guess and yes I do believe in Christmas and everything it stands for including the knowledge the sole purpose of Christmas is Easter. I am not trying to burst any bubbles, or ruin your Christmas, but again just trying to get you to realize we are not as smart as we think we are and we need to sit back and smell the roses while we are alive. And that brings me back to one of my original thoughts when I sat down and why I try to write a better platform for our country than the garbage we will received from the democrats and republicans, mankind should have better. I avoided saying deserves or a right to something better, yet mankind can have better. It is up to us. I always pray and hope that all of us, from the Atlantic to the Pacific and everything in between and outside of those boundaries have a terrific Christmas and a life where they are treated with respect and can enjoy much of what our given earthly senses has to offer, whether it be a beautiful blue sky or ocean, a breeze blowing through leaves, a nice glass of wine or even ice tea, a rose placed on your breakfast table, a kiss from a loved one tender on your cheek, the feel of warm cotton against your skin, a drive down a wide open highway, or a horse ride across a field, or maybe just standing out in the middle of the desert feeling the warmth of the sun penetrating your being, so whatever it may be, all of us should be able to enjoy this wonderful planet we have been given with all our senses, and the ugliness of what we do to each other be washed away in a strong rain.
Cheers and Happy Holidays

The Five Nights at Freddy's movie is 16+ in Iceland... and I just went on writing more crazy movie rating facts as a result of wanting to give more examples of what I'm talking about... at least in my opinion
Here's some hilarious FNAF fact of the day especially as a fan from Iceland. While the Five Nights at Freddy's movie has a age rating of PG-13 in America, over here in Iceland, the movie is rated 16 and up.
I just find it hilarious that this PG-13 movie based on a video game series with the age rating of 12 and up is apparently so dark and violent that it has the same rating that the Deadpool movies got here in Iceland while we get away with a lot of things even in children's aimed media over here. Like, well, openly discussing LGBTQ plus topics along with periods, pregnancy and pregnancy tests. Apparently that's peachy compared to the FNAF movie. Now keep in mind, I'm NOT SAYING that any of this stuff isn't important for kids to know about, I'm just saying that I find it really funny in retrospect to think about while usually they are seen as very touchy feely subject to tackle in children's media today, especially with how there are so many other people that are so sensitive over these sorts of matters being discussed to children in the first when really they shouldn't be.
Heck, even keep in mind that Goosebumps is popular over here and even original horror stories here in Iceland, like Rökkurhæðir, which I have read in middle school, that are even aimed at children, that are also even aimed at older kids which is also 12 and up like FNAF, that can also include very dark and disturbing scenes, and yet THIS MOVIE is too much. Let that sink in.
And honestly, I might as well also mention Gremlins while I'm at it. One of the first ever PG-13 movies, and has some of the gruesome monster kills I've ever seen in any movie ever that children have seen at some point in their lives that people even consider a Christmas classic. And somehow, SOMEHOW, it has a 12 and up rating here in Iceland. These are fine, but the FNAF movie is not. Again, let that sink in. And that's not even mentioning that both movies have the age rating of 15 and up in the UK, again, let that sink in compared to how they're both rated in Iceland, it crazy and hilarious to think about in my opinion, and any other movie that could be PG-13 but could easily be considered R-rated because of how much the PG-13 tends to be pushed a lot. The beginning of Doctor Strange with the off-screen head chop scene comes to mind when I think "family friendly media pushing the PG-13 rating" and heck, might as mention any movie in the MCU while I'm at it. They can push the PG-13 rating so much that I'm surprised at so many points that they are still fine for younger audiences to watch.
And don't get me started on the Transformers movies, but I'm pretty sure that they speak for themselves. I just keep mentioning examples even as I was writing this post because of how many examples I kept thinking of. And honestly, here's the Barbie movie for some good measure. It's 9 and up in Iceland while having a 12A rating or 12 and up in the UK. Such a minor differences from PG-13, and yet it somehow they matters so much.
Again, I just had to post this because of how much I find is so funny to think about and I just can't stop laughing about it. And then I just kept thinking about more examples that I couldn't help but write down and want share with everyone. What do you guys think?
