Questions About Creating Your OCs: 11, 12, 13 for Anne
11. Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?
originally nope - i just made the characters (and then got attatched) but yea. annes v much a lesbian, she just doesnt have the knowledge of what that means
shes also too preoccupied doing other stuff before and during the game so she never rly takes note of herself? cause like! if you just shove the big questions under your bed theres no way ever nuh uh not happening! that its ever gonna come back to bite lol - shes got a game to play in the meantime :D!
i think the only thing ive known for certain has been her godtier and symbol? also her design has stayed pretty solid too ig. back when i was still figuring the sitm og 8 kids out i kept swapping luna and anne around for some reason lol. time space duality ig
12. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?
updating sitm
uhhhh probably taking anne too seriously lol - shes silly and has no idea whats going on whatsoever but she wants all her friends to be okay to the point where shell go back and reset it all (or at least think about doing that a whole lot) just to keep them safe
but most importantly the silly and clueless part lol :3
13. How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all?
OH YEA.
ive got this like. whole ass side story thing for a few years after the main comic part ends re: cara anne and gwen
and like. its basically about how, a period of time after the game gwen shuts herself in a self built castle of hope in the desert and cara and anne have to bring her back (cara is here through heart and time shennanigans (unrelated to anne))
thats also where this and this come in
also a side bit where lily and anne make a clone (called lily-anne) of their combined paradox slime for funzies but thats not rly the same time tho lol (i think lily-anne happens after the hope fragment gwen thing probably)

so I'm Canadian and I grew up ALWAYS taking my shoes off in the house. I watch a lot of American TV though and they almost never take their shoes off in the house, which for years I thought was just for convenience when filming, but I've learned that apparently some people actually do leave their shoes on???
anyway all this to say can you reblog this with where you're from and whether or not you take your shoes off in the house?

did y'all know that donna's husband in forest of the dead was meant to be a trans man, and they just couldn't find a way to make it explicit in-text
donna noble manages to get herself a trans family in every version of reality huh

someone probably said this already but in spiderverse i think it's interesting how when pavitr was first introduced everyone thought something bad was gonna happen to him bc of how confident and optimistic he was. and then in the actual movie we see that something bad was supposed to happen to him (police chief dying!) but it doesn't! miles stops it! and miguel berates miles for this, says it's going to cause the universe to collapse or whatever.
there's this idea that tragedy is inherent to spidermans growth, and while it's true that some spiderpeople learn important lessons through loss, no one stops to ask, is it really necessary? yeah, maybe the chief was supposed to die. but why does spiderman have to be formed through tragedy? why do we (as heroes) have to let people die? pavitr didn't lose anyone, and he's still a good spiderman! maybe, if he doesn't suffer, he'll end up better off for it!
so while miguel is arguing for all this big picture stuff about saving the multiverse he's lost sight of what it really means to be a spiderman, he's not looking out for the real individual people. yeah it's just one person who would die, but that one person means something to someone. shrugging and saying "stuff just sucks sometimes, we can't do anything about it" is the opposite of what superheroes do. pretty obviously, miles arc is also a reflection of the struggles people face in real life, working within unequal systems, where it's easy to shrug and say "that's just the way it is" and not ask "but why does it need be this way? can't we do something about it?"
miguel is arguing that you can't have your cake and eat it too. presumably, miles and co. are going to find a way to get around that and change things for the better (and maybe that's why miles has that line about two cakes in the advisors office!)
