rant under the cut, my last piece on this because i have definitely been annoying everyone around me on both twitter&tumblr in replies&the tags with this

it's honestly so ridiculous that instead of listening to the playerbase to fix the issues they've had with getting new players, revenue (in regards to content releases), etc. they just decided to do this shit with the gacha. im not too surprised in the sense that it's a gacha, of course its predatory, however it's still a new fgo low.

and it's really just stupid, they put out surveys that they don't give a fuck about. remember when nasu&takeuchi were surprised in an interview that the interviewer asked them about summer medusa? a summer character that people have begged for for years? and they didn't even bother to consider it? literally, their business model is fucking dogshit.

they introduced the coin system and stopped doing reruns, and ever since then it just kept getting worse. and instead of, idfk, implementing qol updates that'd fix these issues, they just double down. again and again

i'm not all too surprised, but i sure as hell am annoyed by it. i love fgo, i love fate. i enjoy the story even if it's awful sonetimes. i love many of the events (the skadi summer was enjoyable enough, i loved the bakin dog event, gudaguda, etc). it's given me jiang ziya, one of my biggest comfort characters. it's given me so many characters i love. it's another piece of media that i get to enjoy with my big sister, it's a big talking and bonding topic for us! some of my favoirite mutuals (who i never talk to but still love to see in my notes sometimes) i found through fgo. and it's frustrating to see them just fuck it all up like this continually

yeah i'm not surprised, but still disappointed. will i stick around? idk, maybe. there's still things i like about the game, i want to finish the main story arc at least. maybe i'll stick around until the 10th anniversary, see how abysmally they fuck that one up. it's getting kind of laughable tbh, i definitely won't stick as many resources/time into this game anymore, but yeah

Hey! Yeah, I have a few tips I can share! This is gonna be long so beware!

I keep seeing this sentiment reiterated about larger creators. I get it, but I think everyone's missing one thing in regards to it: you already have access to the same audience they have. Just like you they grew their platform. Maybe it was a stroke of luck from a viral post or something, but they still had to start somewhere. What it takes is getting your content to hit the algorithm. That's all! So even if a larger creator never looks your way, you can still grow and curate an audience without their help. Small accounts are what make up big accounts after all.

You NEED good SEO. I'll talk about TikTok specifically. If you want a boost in visibility then get on Tik Tok. Properly tagging your content is the key to working the algorithm in your favor. I think people believe the more tags the better. No. The more accurately tagged, the better. The hashtags "TS4", "The Sims", and "The Sims 4" are always trending. You should always use those tags. The rest depends on the kind of content you're posting. I'll use my most viral video as an example. My Stormveil Chateau post on Tik Tok got 141.6K views, 22.3K likes. Since it was for a maxis match build I used the following tags: #thesims4 #sims4 #ts4 #simstok #ts4cc #fyp #sim #sims4tok #sims4maxismatch #sims4build #sims4builds #ts4build #ts4gameplay. Most of the tags are related to TS4 and TS4 builds. I wouldn't include anything about CAS, mods, etc. It wouldn't fit the post. Don't flood other tags in hopes of getting more views. It'll just bury your post under a bunch of random content. People have to be able to find your content.

Visually appealing content performs better, period. Y'all give the aesthetic girls hell but they know a thing or two about working the algorithm. I'll give them that! People like things that look nice. Now, that's not to say you need to purge all the color or character from your game. You don't have to follow a certain style trend. Curate your own personal style. Do what you do to the best of your ability. Whatever you post, just make sure it's good quality. Focus on sharpness, clarity, etc. If you wanna curate a particular look then go for it! But most importantly, having clear clean images or videos is the main thing you need. And you don't need a beast of a PC to do it. Sharpen your images and videos before you upload them using Capcut or something. Make sure the lighting is nice. Make sure it's a good resolution for the platform you're posting on. A quick tip: Adding dof to lower quality images makes it look better! See how the left photo looks more clear than the right? A little bit of depth of field helps so the pictures don't fall flat.

Pick a primary social to promote your secondary ones. Usually your primary social may be the one where you have your largest audience. For me, it was Tik Tok. On there I'd promote my Patreon, YouTube, and Tumblr. You just released some cc? Post something about it on Tik Tok, let your audience know they can find it on your Tumblr. Use one to promote the others.

Slow organic growth is STILL growth. Growing your audience is one beast, but maintaining it is a whole other thing. As someone who has gotten shout outs from larger creators, that initial boost ALWAYS dies down. And socials like YouTube will not hesitate to tell you "Hey boo, your shit's failing now. You kinda suck." Been there, felt that. Boosts from other creators and giveaways don't have much longevity. Most times that audience will leave. On occasion you may get a few who stick around, but most won't. That's why it's important to build your audience organically. Yes, it may take longer but they won't just dip out after a few weeks. Things take time to grow. Things take time to curate. Understand you are BUILDING something. It takes time!

And lastly- if you just really want the numbers and it doesn't matter what content you post, then here's what you do: Sell. Still use good SEO, still try to have high quality photos, but give people something to consume. People like to see what they can get. Post some builds, cc, whatever. If you're not a cc creator, then do cc finds, mod reviews, tutorials, build recommendations, lookbooks. People love a good cc haul. They wanna see what they can get. And that's not to say people that make this sort of content don't care about their content. I know they do and it's a lot of work! It still takes time and effort to curate. It's just HOT right now! Especially maxis match content. It ruffles less feathers because a wide array of the Sims community has a vicious vendetta against alpha cc. (Yeah ion know. They will "uncanny valley" and "just play IMVU' you to death. If I say what I think it is.. My people know.) But if you really just want thousands of followers, then there's a way to do it.

With all that said, I know how annoying it is to constantly hear to not focus on numbers but don't. CREATE FOR CREATION'S SAKE. Do it only because you enjoy it. Growth for me has come as a byproduct of me doing whatever the hell I wanted. I make Lykaia because I want to make Lykaia. I love that people love it but it is for me. Not to be an influencer, or to inspire, or to receive praise and accolades. I love everything about the process. Hell, I love the stress that comes with it! I have four scenes to film and I'm still not done editing the ones I have filmed. The episode is supposed to air on MONDAY. I fucking love working down to wire. It's stressful as hell but it feels good! If it's out there, the audience will soon follow. Always. Take your time. Be grateful for where you're at every step of the way. Enjoy the process! And remember that all it takes is one post to take off.

you seem to have a good read on HQ and your takes are great, so i have a question...and if you'd rather not go there, please ignore this! but i see oikawa get called "arrogant" quite often and i'm curious, would you say he is? what is it that makes people think that? imo he has a plenty of flaws, but i truly don't think arrogance is one of them. self-centered, sure, but not arrogant i think. i'm open to being wrong, i'm just legit so confused by that particular criticism, it makes me doubting my reading comprehension. i feel like that one post that's like "free my man, he didn't do that. he did a lot of other stuff tho" LOL. if you do answer this, then thanks for your time!

oh, dear anon. this is a very very big question and i'm honored you think i am capable of providing an answer that does it justice!! i don't consider myself an oikawa expert by far, but i'll do my best because he's still very beloved to me, and i hope whatever i say helps!

(but also - maybe take what i say with a grain of salt LMAO)

anyways, to get the main point out of the way: i completely agree that oikawa isn't arrogant! i actually haven't seen any commentary about that myself (bless!!!), so i can't say for sure why some people might think that, but my guess is that they think his pridefulness = arrogance — they think that the confidence he has in himself and seijoh contributes nothing to their actual power and is utterly meaningless if they don't win, especially in the face of ushijima. which, like, come on. what kind of captain would he be if he wasn't confident in himself and his teammates? is he supposed to tell them that they're going to lose??? is he supposed to discourage their hard work and effort???

or maybe it's because oikawa acts like he's all that, but doesn't have anything to show for it. who does he think he is? what does he think his pride is worth? what right does he have to go around making grand declarations when he has nothing to his name?

(which isn't entirely true, either, but we'll get into that, promise.)

now, do i think that he can, occasionally, be flippant, shallow, and/or petty? yeah, sure. he's got one hell of a personality about it. even iwaizumi says as much. oikawa is great at being a little shit. it's one of my favorite things about him!

but is oikawa genuinely arrogant, or self-centered? well . . . i don't think so.

see, here's the thing about oikawa: he knows he's good, but he doesn't think he's good enough. i think it'd be easiest to really explain what that meant if we broke this down into two separate parts, so let's give it a go, shall we?

(buckle up, friends, because it's about to get LONG. also: TIMESKIP SPOILERS!! and there's a tldr at the start of the tags because. WOW.)

so, first things first: if people are calling oikawa arrogant, then i'm like 99% sure that they don't actually know what the word "arrogant" means.

"arrogant" is used to describe someone full of themselves. it's used to describe someone conceited and pompous. it's used to describe someone so assured of and invested in their self-importance that they don't care for other people, and if it seems like they do, then it's usually wildly off the mark and still serves to inflate their own egos.

oikawa has never once been like that. he's been pretty much the exact opposite, in fact.

and yeah, sure, by his third year of high school, he knows he's good at volleyball, and that's fine! it's perfectly all right to claim you're good at something if you have the skills/experience to back it up. confidence is healthy as long as it isn't in overabundance, and we actually see a lot of this throughout the series!

(not to mention that this was where ushijima fell short. he was overflowing with confidence. he did not believe, for even a single second, that hinata shouyou and his meager, scrappy little flock of crows could beat him.

but oikawa? he knew. he knew what it looked like to make something bloom.)

the key to oikawa's confidence that made him better was that he could pinpoint others' strengths and weaknesses just as well as he could with his own. and (bear with me, please, i might get kind of boring here bc it's nothing that hasn't been said in the manga before) i don't mean it in the way we see the coaches or more analytical players do, as observations to be taken advantage of by everyone else; i mean that in the sense of how vital it is to his position as a setter. that was always the biggest difference between oikawa and kageyama: no matter how much more raw talent kageyama had, no matter how much better oikawa believed him to be, kageyama, especially in the beginning, struggled to do what oikawa could with a team. kageyama struggled to bring out the best in each player. and it wasn't because he didn't know how -- oikawa freely admitted that kageyama had the skill for it, that kageyama, once he got his shit together, could win against him -- it was because kageyama didn't have that same confidence in himself.

(not until much later, anyways. but that's another story, for another time.)

so, oikawa's confident. he knows he's good. he can bring out the best in each player. he's got a killer serve (and a killer smile!), a mind for tactics that borders on machievallianism, and cherishes the trust he is given like it's something precious. his coaches let him lead without leaning on them. his team has the utmost respect and admiration for him. he has a reputation. from karasuno to shiratorizawa to the whole of miyagi -- there is not a single character who knows oikawa tooru and would believe that he is, in any way, bad at volleyball.

but it's not enough. despite all of that, oikawa still doesn't think he's good enough. and that, friends, brings us to the second point.

oikawa tooru is nothing if not passionate.

so were the others, of course. kageyama kept going after his grandfather's death. hinata kept going while being a nobody from nowhere with no one to back him up. atsumu kept going while osamu didn't. it's not even about just those who went pro -- kenma, kuroo, noya, and everyone else found things that they were passionate about and kept going with it. the entire story revolves around loving what you do and trying to keep that love alive, and, sometimes, that can be really, really difficult when it seems like it doesn't love you back.

oikawa was so insecure over kageyama to the point where he nearly decked the poor kid. oikawa got crushed by ushijima-- who kept telling him that his team was not good enough, that his choices were not good enough, that there was nothing good enough to be proud of -- for years in a row. oikawa was taught that there would always be someone better than him no matter how skilled he was, but if he let that stop him then he didn't fucking belong on the court in the first place.

oikawa tooru is intimately acquainted with not being good enough, but he keeps trying to be. he keeps going. he tries to keep the love alive even if he's not loved back. he pushes and practices and takes a plane far from home to become even better. even if he doesn't have the skill, even if he doesn't have the talent, even if he doesn't have the love -- he still has his pride. and what does that mean, in the end? how far does that take him?

in the end, oikawa tooru walks across a world stage and sees people who believed in him on the other side and calls it a family reunion. in the end, he gets to play the volleyball that reminds him of why he loves it and how it gives him so much love back. in the end, his pride is unyielding and unbreakable, a product of the forge. he molded it with his own two hands. he will not let it falter so easily.

arrogance would not have taken oikawa tooru this far. i hope this has proven that he is anything but.

remember: instinct is something you polish. talent is something you make bloom. and never, ever let anyone else tell you what your pride is worth.

The doorbell chimes that familiar little jingle when he finally presses the button. He’s not sure how long he’s been standing here, pacing here, before finally mustering the courage to see if you’ll answer the door. He thinks he might just regret this. Do you even remember him? Do you hate him for what happened?

He rubs his neck and sighs out anxiously before deciding to turn around and leave, making his way down those familiar steps of your front porch. Suddenly, he hears the door click open, making him pause at the bottom of the steps and a soft, hopeful voice rings through the air, “Kazutora?”

He lifts his gaze up from where he’d been staring at the steps beneath his feet, hesitantly turning to face the direction he’d heard the voice in the doorway. Kazutora gave a timid smile, his voice equally soft, “y-yeah… it’s me.”

You stared at each other for a long moment, just trying to process what was happening in this moment and trying to decide what to do next - what to say next.

All he could think about, all he could feel, were the worries that maybe you were angry with him - hell, he would be, too - or worries that you didn’t love him like you did back then. That you hated him now. He swears to himself internally. Why is this so nerve wracking???

And you? Was this even real? Is this really Kazutora??? You move slowly, hoping the man in front of you doesn’t notice how you pinch the skin on your arm harshly, trying to wake yourself up from whatever dark dream you’ve found yourself in. Hoping he doesn’t notice the tears that threaten to pool in your sad eyes. Hoping he doesn’t ask why you never visited him in prison. Him. The love of your fucking life.

“Kazu-” your voice breaks and you can’t help but crash into him, your arms wrapping around his neck as your tears finally spill down your cheeks.

Instinctively, his arms wrap tightly around your waist. “I-it’s ok, y/n…” His hand moves to the back of your head, cradling you against him as his thumbs rub soothing little circles against your skin. “I-I’m here now,” his words are barely above a whisper as his own tears begin to fall, “I missed you… Oh, so so much.”

He pulls away just a little, the hand on the back of your head moving to tenderly cup your cheek. His nose brushes across yours before his lips plant delicate kisses against your own plush ones. His lips feel so much softer than you remember. You let your lips linger together for a moment, deeply inhaling and savoring his scent before finally pulling away. Your eyes meet his mirthful golden hues as he wiped the tears from your cheeks with his thumbs.

“I missed you too, Kazutora.”

uhh. i don't do a lot of that. but if i had to pick from my sparse collection, i'd say You Are In Love :) short and sweet and ridiculously fluffy. my love letter to meddison <3

i don't think so! i don't write for gigantic fandoms, so the people that read my fics are usually too glad to have a new fic to nitpick my writing lmaoo. and honestly if i did i don't remember, so it clearly wasn't that important to me. shrug emoji

yep! as for what kind... well. i'll write anything if i have a strong enough vision and motivation lol. even in my one multi, there's a vast range of stuff. i'm always open to explore!

oh so many. SO many. including but not limited to: meddison season 18/19 neighbor au, meddison bloomington au, and are you mine? (i'm not quite yours). its exhausting having all these ideas and no motivation to write them :(

i'm told that i write complex/angsty feelings really well! and i'm glad i do lol because why is my brain like this if not to be a storyteller

little movements. i love them and need them. they kill me.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i'm open to it! i'm not fluent in any languages other than english, but i could probably string together some sentences in spanish if i tried (don't ask me about my latin abilities, pls and ty.)

the 2019 carmen sandiego reboot on netflix! that show got me into writing and is also how i met my partners :)

oh boy you're making me choose 😭 i'll say that revenge is my top 1 SO FAR. second and third is tied between intrigue (hold your breath). and already yours. these three are some of the only fics i've written that i like enough to reread.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

My main right now is pro wrestling, currently NJPW with some AEW :) . I've got a lot of different ones on there, but The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is still top with 33 fics

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

burn this city, my first fic, lawlight for Death Note. Nothing special tbh.

ghost in the machine, my first longfic and third fic, also lawlight for Death Note and also nothing special.

acute gifts, which was a Beth Harmon / Benny Watts knifekink fic. I got in the Queen's Gambit tag very early and so it rose to the top. It's not too bad, not in my top 10 of my own fics but definitely quite charming.

Oesterle's Derealization Claim, a Disco Elysium Mathematicians AU. Cherished fic and I am so glad and proud it climbed the ranks to be top 5 :)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Always! I love responding to comments, it's not always right away but I do get there.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Intentionally? flowers grown in forgotten lungs, probably. Like in a lot of ways, that fic is about L giving up, knowing he's going to die, and saying "fuck that, I'll burn all my ideals and drag as many people as I can down with me". I think other fics that I've written have hit people harder, especially the ones that I intended to make a happier followup and lost energy for it. But that one was meant to be absolutely gutting.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I'm going to go with the most recent one I'm proud of and say blueprint drift, which I'm sure is more melancholy than some other ones but idk, I love the story that's there, I love to see Takeover lowkey husbanding.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not generally, I can't remember if there was anything too egregious? I've gotten a few passive-aggressive "why won't you finish this" pleas but I tend to shut that kind of behaviour right down.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Hell yeah, though less than I used to. I really like writing new and weird scenarios and I've done a LOT at this point. Some of my top 3 weird ones were "skeleton threesome" "the cask of amontillado but it's kink" "spider/bat porn"

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

A few! My craziest is probably Blair Witch Project x The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The Grey Desert Mythos. Still very proud of that fic!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No! I have had a fic chapter podficced though, which was a transcendent experience: Static Contact [podfic]

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

SO many. SO many. That's probably why my word count is so high hehe

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

HMMM. In practice my favourite is whatever I'm obsessed with at the moment, in which case Jaykada (Jay White / Kazuchika Okada, NJPW). By the numbers? Blondeyes (Angel Eyes / Blondie, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm pretty good about letting go of things I don't think I'll finish, so there's nothing I'm holding out desire for at this point. I have a longfic cooking but at present I do think I'll get it together for it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, strong POV, thematic intensity. People say my settings are very evocative/atmospheric, which is flattering since I worked pretty hard on those.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Humor. I always feel so awkward with clown characters. I don't really do plotty works in the conventional sense, but I don't think that's a weakness, more of just an intention.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

So funny, I'm working on a fic with that right now! I would say the my practice is to write the dialogue however the POV character is able to understand it, and however they parse it. In my mind if you speak the language or know a solid translator, it's all right to actually "quote the dialogue" in its characters for the reader who can speak the language. If you don't, probably best not to use machine translation and only stick to vetted phrases if you can.

For the fic I'm writing right now, it's a lot of fun because the Okada/Jay series spans different stages of understanding they have of each other's language. In the young lion era fic, Jay barely speaks any Japanese, and Okada has patchy English but he's sort of limping along. In the current WIP, Jay's Japanese is better, but not perfect, and similarly with Okada's English. So they sort of speak to each other semi-fluidly and the gaps in understanding are written in the text. So it's fun to think about how in the later fic, Jay speaks fluent Japanese and exclusively talks to Okada in Japanese to keep his language skills sharp.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

In another life, Batman. Specifically I was inspired by The Dark Knight but I based a lot of my work on the comics.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

My favourite fic is always my most recent, which was Shadow Gimmick (a FinJay Fic!). Barring that, the Grey Desert Mythos :)

Fives makes a Friend

That's a horrible title, but I'll work on it.

Star Wars AU - Fives discovers secrets about the Chancillor, and learns about a conspiracy involving the clones, and is on the run on Coruscant. He makes a friend, and things take a step to the side.

This is going to be kind of short. My brain is on vacation mode.

"Come on, Cal!" Spark flung his arm over Cal's shoulder and allowed his artfully tousled purple hair to fall into her face, "You have to admit, it's kinda hilarious."

"Sure," She rolled her eyes and shoved him away from her, "Until my dads find out that I've gone completely off the rails and they sent me to a convent."

Spark waved his hand, "You're 20, Cal. They can't force you to do anything." He grinned at her, "What would they be angrier about? Dropping out, dying your hair? The face tattoo? Or the fact that you share a house with 9 other people?"

"Uh, all of it." Cal joked.

His grin widened, "At least you're finally going to school for something you like. Though, it's ironic that you're paying for school with your piano lessons."

"It's great, isn't it?" Cal asked as she turned a corner, only for her to let out a pained gasp as someone tall slammed into her and knocked her against the wall.

"Hey, watch it Jedi!" Spark shouted at the retreating back, before he made sure Cal was alright, "ugh, jackass. Does he think he's the only person walking out here? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, my bag bore the brunt of that." She admitted, "wonder what has his panties all twisted."

Spark wasn't looking at her anymore, he pointed across the street, at a warehouse, where a man wearing prisoner garb was skulking around.

Cal and Spark shared a look, and they had a whole conversation without saying a single word.

She darted scross the street and slipped through the main door, and she knew that Spark was going to go around back to keep anyone from sneaking up on this.

This was a terrible idea. It was a great idea.

A small grin crossed her face as she approached the man sitting on the ground. She would have to be careful, to not spook him.

"You know, you'd have an easier time ditching the cops without the prison gear." She teased lightly.

Fives was in deep shit. He knew it. His brothers probably knew it. Hells, Jango Fett, himself, probably knew it.

He hadn't meant to stumble on this powder keg. A powder keg that would see him and his brothers turned into weapons. A powder keg that was puppeteered by the Chancellor of the Fucking Republic himself.

Right. Calm thoughts.

He hadn't been captured. Yet.

He just needed to think of someone, anyone, who would help him get to the Jedi. The Jedi would help. They had to.

He jerked when he heard the unexpected voice, he thought that he was alone. "You know, you'd have an easier time ditching the cops without the prison gear." Her voice was light and teasing, but Fives just felt sick.

He lifted his head.

Legs, long tanned legs, clad in knee-high leather boots. A mini skirt. A tight leather jacket. Bubble gum pink hair framing a face with deep purple eyes and bright red lips.

Fives mind went blank.

"Holy shit, you're gorgeous." He breathed out.

She blinked at him, startled, and then she laughed. "Well, thank you." She sank to her knees, and regarded him, amusedly, "So, why are you hiding from the cops?"

"I've been accused of trying to assassinate the chancellor."

"Did you?" She sounded remarkable unbothered by that confession.

"No! I just..." Fives trailed off, and he stared at her. Beggers couldn't be choosers. Not in this situation. "I discovered something. Palpatine is behind the whole war, he's behind everything."

Her back straightened, "Can you prove it?"

Fives reached up and tapped his temple, "I, we, my brothers and I, have the proof in our heads. Chips. Designed to make us do what he wants."

It sounded crazy. It was crazy. But every word was the truth. He just hoped she believed him.

She stared at him, and then she slowly nodded, "Okay."

"Okay?"

"Okay." She agreed, and then she turned her head, "Oi, Spark!"

"I'm here. I heard him, Cal," Spark was a young man, older than Cal, with long vibrant purple hair and piercings all over his face. He had a wide grin on his face, "What's your name, mate?"

"Fives."

"Alright Fives," Spark grinned, "I need to make some phone calls." He tossed his bag to Cal, "He should fit into some of my clothes. Get him settled, Cal." He then walked away, pulling his comm out as he did so.

Cal grinned at him, and lightly tugged him to his feet, "Spark always keeps spare clothes on him, just incase he gets paint on his normal clothes," She explained as she tugged him behind several crates that would allow him to have some privacy.

She handed him a tank top and some torn jeans, as well as a paint of heavily paint stained boots, "Is Spark a painter?"

"Yeah. I'm sure you've seen his work around Coruscant." Cal moved to give him some privacy, and Fives was grateful for it as he pulled off the scratchy red prison uniform, and pulled on the, slightly too tight, clothes that Spark was letting him borrow.

"I don't generally get to go to art galleries," Fives said drily, grateful for the banter.

"Sure, neither do we." Cal said with a laugh, "Spark does graffiti."

"...So he's a criminal."

"Hm. Says the man currently being hunting for attempted assassination?" Cal countered.

"Point taken." Fives pulled the boots on, and stepped out from behind the crates, "So, how do I look?"

Cal dragged her gaze down Fives slowly enough that he felt a surge of pleasure. He would definitely be taking advantage of her obvious approval of his appearance if he got out of this situation alive, "Hm. You look great." She finally said, "I definitely approve."

Fives grinned, "I can tell," He flirted lightly, and he was delighted to see her grin at him.

"Come on, handsome. I think the others are here."

Others? Just how many people did Spark call?

Fives followed Cal back towards the front of the warehouse, and his steps faltered. Men and women of all ages and races, hair colors and skin tones of all sorts. He was pretty he caught a glimpse of a twi'lek with rainbow painted skin-

"Who are all of these people?" Fives asked, turning his attention to Cal, who was waving at another person with hair the same shade of pink as hers.

"They're friends, Fives." She promised.

Fives stared at her, and then at the crowd, who was listening to Spark speak about his situation, and he felt a surge of hope.

Mace Windu had been nursing a migraine for the majority of the day. And that was before word got out that a clone had tried to assassinate the Chancellor.

Like, he didn't blame him for it. If he did it. Palpatine deserved a little assassination attempt every now and then. Wait. No. He wasn't supposed to think stuff like that.

Calm thoughts, Mace. Calm.

He exhaled slowly, and focused his thoughts. Right. Migraine. He knew that it was caused by a massive shatterpoint that had been building earlier, and then just vanished.

But now he was willing to blame Palpatine for his migraine. Fucking old man.

So he was already in a sour mood when he decided to go for a walk to get some fresh air.

And then the news came in about a riot several streets over from the Jedi temple. Speeders getting flipped over. Arson. Windows being broken.

Surely the Guard would handle it. Surely it wouldn't become his problem.

Famous last words.

He stared. And stared a little more at the array of young adults, wearing leather and ripped clothing. With tattoos and loud make-up and even louder hair (if they had it). And there, in the middle, was a single clone.

A single clone holding the hand of a young woman with bubblegum pink hair and with skulls on her shirt.

A young woman who lifted her chin and looked him in the eye, and said, "You're going to listen to us."

She was ballsy. He liked her.

And then the Clone, Fives, stepped forward and told his story. He was worried, and was tightly gripping the sassy young woman's hand, as thought for support.

But Mace listened. And he asked questions.

And, as his blood ran cold, he called an emergency council meeting.

And then he looked at the colorful young adults, who were looking at him as though he were a threat to Fives, as though he were an enemy, and he smiled. He walked over to the pink girl, and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I am personally going to keep Fives safe," He promised. And then he looked around the group, and his grin became sharp, "Three floors down, there is a room filled to the brim with various weapons that a Jedi has no need for. The passcode to the room is 56729." He said calmly, "I need you to make as much trouble for the Chancellor as possible."

There was silence for a moment, and then the young adults grinned.

very small thing: Zero is the most canon Isagi (i try, it's already not canon the fact that he slept with two of the versions. anyway.); Sette is a specific version of Zero that. uh. is more outgoing and. uh. i have no idea how to explain actually. (because all of these pieces of shit are barely version and very OCs so. very unfortunate)

anyway. so. okay. They are supposed to fuck, for the bit (?). Zero would and Sette apparently would too and I wanted to leave the only not-sexual relationship in the whole thingie that between Sette and Hachi? It feels more significant if only they don't fuck.

When I say the bit I mean that it's very funny how Zero would fuck all of them, in a way.

I am also very unsure of the contrary, actually: Sette is a person who relies on sex to feel as a human being, in a way (to be seen, to feel himself, to see a meaning in his existence), main reason why Hachi and he don't fuck: it serves as a way to make him understand that he can be a person without being seen as a sexual object first, so that's what I mean when I say that the relationship between him and Hachi has a very specific and important meaning.

So, if he and Zero fuck, it would confirm his specific idea that he's not a person, in a way. it would be just another relationship he has that's purely based on sex where the other person does not care about other parts of him.

(for context: things are rocky in his universe. exactly because he went overboard with that in bllk. sad!)

I care about Sette a lot and I want him to have friendships and relationships that are not as the ones he has with any other person he knows, and that would mean not making him and Zero fuck, I think?

On another note though, this could be the news in his life: ever since he started having sex with people, he has come to realize that none of the people actually see him as a person (it's mentioned in a story how "people see him" but. they don't. not completely at least. it's a realization he probably had while in bllk (so off screen)) because he is only that, something to be used. But, with Zero, I think I could make him see the other side: if there's a type of relationship where he's simply sexualized and not cared about, and another type where he is not sexualized and is cared about, there can be a new one (for him) where sure, yeah, they fucked, but the person [Zero] does actually see him and cares for him.

I feel like this is contradicting in some parts: does Sette mind being simply an object or is he human if he is an object? I have not a single clue! I think that's something that's evolving in him: he was a human as an object because that was all he was and that was all he knew. After meeting Hachi, does he feel like being an object is not enough anymore? Does he want not to be one? Maybe! I dont know! That's why I have no idea what to do!!

(btw this does not take into consideration the relationship he has with Seika, as he considers her as some kind of sister he never had, so we'll leave her out of the debate)

(I will think about his relationship with Yon in a moment that's not now. What's yet to be written does not matter)
