Helloooo! I saw that your requests were open for Hazbin- how about a reader who's a seraphim? Kind of Lucifer's protégé/child way before the creation of Eden, Adam, and Lilith.
And he just kind of left them up there alone and neglected because of her association/kind of Dad!Lucifer. So, it's kind of angsty seeing as how Lucifer was a better Dad to Charlie and the reader grew with envy and fell into that ring along with her brother (I've been seeing hc/rumor a lot) Cain.
What would happen their first meeting again? If this is too much I don't really mind so no worries! Have a nice day and thanks for reading!!
A/N: I’m sorry but I go by biblical too so this might be different but same concept and storyish
Like father like daughter
Lucifer x daughter Reader
Synopsis: Your dad left you young now you left him
How it started
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are my Sunshine My only sunshine
You make me happy When skies are grey
Little you giggles at your father’s little song for you and only you. You were an angel whose mother was long gone leaving just you and your father. You made grabby hands towards him making his heart melt before lift you up.
“Boop” you cutely said as you boop his nose making him chuckle. “Boop” he said back making you giggle this time.
“Okay baby it’s time for me to go to work so Uncle Castiel is gonna watch you okay baby?” He asked you making you nod happily before rushing to your uncles arms.
You never knew that was the last time you would see him and with that you cried and cried for your dad until Sera and the other Angels showed you he forgot about you, he had a wife and daughter….
You watched as he singed the same lyrics he sang to you to her. You were only 5 and parentless watching your father abandon you but staying for another that his. That’s when you grew up odd with another angel. You were evil or as they say a bad apple.
You were Cain’s secret friend encouraging him to kill his brother Abel. That when you were sent down in hell where your dad is but you never cared to look for him finding some friends of your own.
You were older and more mature then her but she was the youngest, and you were the oldest. Does that mean you had to made the sacrifice to be left?
Even so it hurts and your growing hate towards your father and sister grew stronger by the centuries.
With Lucifer though he was trying everywhere to find you, You were no where to seen in heaven and no where on earth so you must be in hell. But even then he couldn’t find you.
You grew close to Cain when he came to hell after being full of pride and thinking he could live without God and with his punishment. You saw him as a brother the only family you considered. You were never gonna be ready to let your other family in your life and you meant that.
When you were both getting ice cream You heard something. “___!” you turned around to see lucifer huffing and puffing finally catching up to you.
“My Sunshine! Woah have you grown into a-” you punched him in the face. You the eldest of Lucifer punched him in the face and my god it felt great to do. Your unbelievable smile widen as you saw his pain. Call it fucked up as you will but you almost laugh on how pathetic he was and to believe you looked up you him.
“Don’t… Don’t call me that. I thought we both grew out of that nickname a long time ago” You mumbled before turning away from him having nothing else to say.
“___ I was trying to protect you! Don’t you understand I was going to come back for you. I-“COME BACK TO ME? NOW THATS BULLSHIT “DAD” BECAUSE SPENDING TIME WITH YOUR OTHER BORN WAS NOT LOOKING FOR ME” You interrupted him turning into your full demon form Lucifer looked at you in shocked and stunned.
“I was 5 waiting for my own father to come home” You stated calmly as Lucifer looked at you with tears in his eyes.
“Please give me another chance, I love you too much to let you go” He pleaded taking you hand but you yanked it straight away.
“You gonna know how it feels to let go of the person you” You growled before walking away from him.
“You’ll never know dear, how much I love you. Please…. Don’t take my sunshine away” He prayed as tears slipped down his eyes reaching out to you knowing your already far from him. knowing he lost his firstborn hurt
“Daddy! teach me how to dance!” A little you say as Lucifer looked up as a little you held your hand towards him he tried to reached but then you just faded. That little girl was long gone the moment he didn’t take you with him.

thoughts under the cut
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok so!!
-my nifty backstory is a bit less fleshed out so stay with me here
-she was an aspiring science fiction writer born in japan late 1940's
-unfortunatly she never got to live out her dream as she was married off into a mafia family at 15
-this may have been the mafia family angel dust belonged to ☺️
-neither of them know this☺️☺️
-from then on she was whitewashed and essentially brainwashed into the perfect housewife
-if she disobeyed she got hit, so she did what she was told- until one day it got too much for her. she snapped, and murdered her husband in her sleep
-this got her sent into a mental asylum where she got diagnosed with hysteria and lobotomised
-she died soon after
-despite the murder reasonably being in self defence, murder is still classified as a Damning Sin in heaven's eyes and she got sent down to hell
-she is obsessed with neatness and incredibly hardworking. she will often work herself to the point of exhaustion, in which case alastor will step in and communicate her worries for her - she never complains, doing so makes her feel useless
-her obsessive tidying has led to finding loads of Banned Objects in guest's rooms
-she is the hotel's maid, chef, waitress, gardener, pest control, room attendant and accountant. they are severely understaffed
-alastor is her best and only friend. he is the only one that listens to her odd ramblings (speaking of odd ramblings, the stuff she says would be less "i like to kill bugs murder death X3" and more,, just odd facts and weird sayings and fucked up things that happened in her life but like,, sugarcoated. like shes trying to convince herself that they were good-kinda like kitty from ghosts abt her sister). she spies for him, it is pretty easy for her to go unnoticed due to her small stature. nothing goes unheard that alastor doesnt hear about
-her and alastor sometimes just go for walks together, with her perched on his arm like a falcon. i imagine a side plot of an episode being them taking one of their walks when they come across a sinner trying to move out of the pride ring, they try to help him hijinks ensue ect ect
-she isnt in it for the money, which is good bc shes not paid much
okii thats it :33

Understanding Death in Hazbin Hotel
Tumblr media
There seems to be a lot of misconceptions around what exactly angelic weapons do and how death works in the Hazbin Hotel universe. I want to explain my thoughts on this with everyone using the information that we know.
We first need to look at what species we know that exist in the Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss universe. Because this is where I believe most of the confusion around death in the show comes from.
As of right now we have three different types of beings.
Angels, Humans, and Hellborns. Angels live in the realms they created or helped to create (god hasn't been mentioned much in the shows at all outside of a few 'oh gods'). They existed before Humans and Hellborns. Angels can fall and become powerful beings in hell.
Humans were created by angels. Originally three were created and they had different purposes before Eve ate the Apple and they were intended to be immortal (by biblical story telling). They exist on Earth. When they die, they are sorted into being angelic type beings or sinful beings, their souls are sent to either Heaven or Hell.
Hellborns were creatures born in hell. We do not know their full range of their lore of how they were created, but the speculation so far is that Lilith likely birthed at least some of them or they were created by the Seven Deadly Sins. Either way, they are mortal to one another unless they are the Ars Goetia. Humans are very different from Angels or Hellborns. They are born on Earth and the content of their souls and their actions are judged by an unknown source (as of right now). When they are judged, they are sent to either Heaven or Hell. Adam is not an Angel in the same way that Sera or Emily are angels. He was a human soul who got sent to heaven. He is a human soul that has been imbued with more angelic/divine soul than others we've seen so far. This is an important thing to remember. People seem to think that when anything is killed with an angelic weapon that it just disintegrates a soul entirely when that's not how it works. Sinners are confined to the Pride Ring of hell and are not allowed within the realms of the Hellborn because hell is over-populated and must be cleansed, only because Sinners can not kill one another in a traditional way, unlike the Hellborn who can do it naturally themselves without the need for angelic weapons. Hellborn entities can kill one another just fine unless they are of the Ars Goetia. This is telling me that they have unique properties unlike the other Hellborn. My guess is they were created by the Seven Deadly Sins amongst one another, so while they are technically hellborn, they likely have those residual angelic energies from their creators making them less capable of dying by an attack. However, we can see that they do age and likely do die of old age, as there is a generational component. The Seven Deadly sins have always been other angels that were cast down alongside Lucifer, meaning they used to be Angels in the same vein that Sera and Emily are angels. Hellborn entities like Imps or Hellhounds can grow old and die within hell. When they die, they become one with the energy of Hell. Vivziepop has expressed this before. If a Sinner is killed and has not made an honest effort to repent, they find the same fate and their energy is imbued into hell itself. It's why there are eyes, mouths, seemingly sentient flora and fauna in hell. Hell itself is like a living creature that feeds and regurgitates in an endless cycle for the hellborn. Angelic weapons really seem to be confusing people too, because you're assuming that Adam's blast of energy to Sir Pentious is not the same as the weapons, when it more than likely is. Angelic weapons have to be created with the same kind of energy blast as Adam has shown. He's unique in that he's the only human soul shown so far who can do this. He could have been an angelic weapon himself. Lute and the other exorcists were likely humans themselves. That is why they can be killed the same way that Sinners can be killed. They are human souls, they are being killed and subsequently rejudged by whatever entity (god probably) is doing the judging. Heaven probably has its own systems of life and death for it's naturally born denizens. Remember this billboard in Welcome to Heaven?
Tumblr media
This is an old lady. More than likely a naturally born Denizen of Heaven. Everyone in heaven is supposed to be hot and healthy, right? It's probably just the human souls. This could also just be a gag, but I think Hell and Heaven are more or less inversions, especially considering the Cherubs are an inversion of imps.
What's interesting is in the episode with the Cherubs, they're refused re-entry to heaven because their actions resulted in the death of a human, a human that goes to hell, a human they were trying to keep from killing himself and find beauty in nature and love. Sera talks about they have their own souls to protect as well. Human souls are unique in some form or fashion that means their deaths are different from what Angels or Hellborns experience. They have the capability of immortality within heaven or hell, just like they would have had on Earth if Eve didn't eat the apple. That's why Sir Pentious is in heaven instead of being dead despite an angelic blast. That's why we'll likely see Adam return as a demon. Human souls are important to the being giving judgement, they are more or less immortal for some reason unless divine intervention is at play. When humans make deals with one another in hell, they gain more power. They bargain with their souls. Souls are power. Humans are naturally generating sources of souls. I believe, eventually, the show will dip its toes into concepts like reincarnation outside of shifting between heaven or hell. If it doesn't, then it's more than likely going to be how Heaven and Hell are in a constant state of trying to collect as many souls as possible for the power that they infuse into each respective dimension. Lilith gained more and more power with the more souls sent into hell. Heaven fights those souls with the exorcists who are also more than likely human souls. That's my speculation anyways!

Helluva Wonderland AU: Hellborn/Fallen Angels
A/N: This took so long, but we’re almost close to finishing the character backstories for this au. As the title suggests, I hope this would make a little bit of sense with these choices. This will only talk about their short time on Earth/Heaven, what the Hellborns’ lives were like, and what they did in the Pride ring before joining the cult.
Same as before, some warnings (18+): mentions of harassment, racism, abuse, demonic practice, mention of illness, angst, violence, death, etc... You get it, onto the post!
Trey Clover:
Trey was born in London on October 25, 1927. He lived in a cake shop with his mom, dad, and two little siblings, living their best lives. Even during the Great Slump and WWII, Trey would still have fun with his two friends, Che’nya and Riddle. After the war, he tried to stay in contact with Riddle until he was 18 years old, when his parents sent him to a university in Boston to study Dentistry. Trey would pass away from heart disease at the age of 23 on September 14, 1951.
Everything was super bright, even though his eyes were closed until he finally opened them. Trey was surprised to find himself in front of the golden gates of Heaven where St. Peter popped up from behind his desk and welcomed him inside. Trey looked much like himself except for a white halo above his head, a pair of large celeste green and cream-colored wings on his back. Everything was going all right for a few years until he protected an angel from Adam harassing another Angel, ultimately pissing him off and banishing Trey to Hell, making him a fallen angel.
Once he woke up from the shock, he could only see a red sky and blurry figure standing above him. That is until he heard a familiar voice say, “Trey, is that really you?” Trey’s eyes widened as the figure placed his glasses back on, revealing a confused and crying Riddle. After their reunion and arrived at the Heartslabyul district, Trey became Riddle’s second in command, while still adjusting to his new appearance becoming a greenish skin tone, pointed ears, sharp teeth, his eyes having a black sclera, a clover mark now his left cheek, and his pastel green wings had become broken.
Cater Diamond:
Cater was born in the Envy ring on February 4. His family were the only succubus family that lived in a suburban neighborhood, so some of the Envy demons would often pick on his family, due to their racist views on other demons. But thankfully it wouldn’t last long, since his father’s job allowed their family to move all around each ring of Hell. Although he was annoyed by it, it wasn’t as or more annoying than dealing with his two sisters’ unreasonable bossy behavior.
Once he reached 18 years old, he became an avid social media user, mainly Sinstagram, and wanting to seek attention, he decided to move to Pride to “live his life to the fullest.” While he does seem to be doing well for himself on social media, being as outgoing as he does in social situations, he does seem to have a knack for gathering information, despite others would consider him as just a “succubitch.”
So, when he reached 23 years old, he was able to get a job as Riddle’s informant and advisor, gathering information about any rule breakers and scheduling important meetings. During his time in Heartslabyul, he met Kalim and Lilia during one of the Overlord meetings, and the three of them would hangout, sharing their love of new trends and parties. So, all in all, don’t assume he’s just a sexy face, because he’ll know everything and make your life more hellish.
Jack Howl:
Jack was born in a Hellhound family in the Gluttony ring on October 11. As a Hellhound, he and his family are considered the lowest class of demons in hell, aside from the imps, so Jack comes off as rather cold and distant, not wanting help from others, basically being a Tsundere to everyone around him. And because of the discrimination towards Hellhounds, this also gave him a strong sense of justice and drive to become stronger.
When Jack reached 16 years old, he began training to become a professional guard as a means of showing honor and strength. Though if you think about it, it’s better than the alternative positions Hellhounds are restricted to, such as just being a family pet. Soon enough when he reaches 21 years old, he begins to hear about a king of some sorts in the Pride ring, an overlord who strives to lead a group of Hellbeasts to glory.
Jack moves to the Pride ring and encounters Ruggie, asking if he can serve as a protector in the Savanaclaw district. Ruggie, although finding his request strange, did agree to teach him some of the ropes around the place. Hopefully, with everything he learns, he hopes that as he gets stronger within Leona’s pride of Hellbeasts, people will see him as something more than just a Hellhound.
Jade and Floyd Leech:
Jade and Floyd Leech were born in the Greed ring on November 5, their mother being a moray eel demon from Envy and their father being a loan shark from Greed. Their family’s business mostly consists of “dabbles in a bit of everything,” and seeing as they lived in Greed, that would apply to anything mafia related. And as such, Jade and Floyd were often tasked to gather information about rival gangs and “take them out” if anything goes wrong.
As they both reached 22 years old, the twins started to grow bored of being in Greed, that is until they noticed an imp trying to escape some thugs from the Pride Ring. The imp expected the twins to help him, but he was in for a surprise of his life when Jade and Floyd helped the gowns in exchange for meeting the man the imp owes. So, after dumping the imp in the river, Jade and Floyd traveled to Pride and entered the lustrous Monstro Lounge in the Octavinelle district.
During the meeting, Azul was impressed with their handy work, disposing of a client that failed to pay his debt, and was surprised that they had asked to work in his business. Skeptical due to their fearsome demeanor, Azul agreed to their offer, and since then, they have been very close friends. Although they both become his two best men in crime, he has no control over them as they were free to do things they enjoyed in Pride, so at least they're doing alright for themselves.
Rook Hunt:
Rook Hunt was born in a Griffin Goetia family on December 2, his family’s nobility is ranked very high in Hell, or at least that’s as much as he can tell. What can be said is that Rook, from a very early age, is one of the strangest members in the Ars Goetia. Exploring the art of hunting while he has access to the living world, sneaking around spying on others and avoiding getting caught, all while discovering anything that he deems as beautiful.
On one of his customary drives through the streets of Pride, he immediately shouts for the driver to stop when something catches his eye. He stepped out of the limo and entered the Vees studio where he was greeted by Vox and Valentino, who believed he was there to indulge in adult films. However they are shocked to see that Rook walked past them and greeted Vil, declaring that he was so captivated by how beautiful he is and asked him many questions.
Over time, Rook and Vil would often spend time together, Vil would produce and perform his movies while Rook would watch and be amazed by his art. Rook also helps Vil by traveling to the living world and giving him some insight about the movie industry, as well as using his hunting skills to eliminate any competition. It pays to have not only a royal Goetia, but a loyal hunter by your side.
Epel Felmier:
Epel was born in the Wrath Ring to a family of imps on May 6. Being the shortest of his family, working on the farm, he tries his best to help with growing and selling apples. Growing up, he struggles to be more "manly"; he tries to grow taller, make his voice deeper, and build more muscle. But no matter how many times he tried, everyone still considered him to be cute, based on how he looked as he grew.
When he turned 21 years old, he traveled to the Pride ring, to make a deal with the Overlord Kalim to help his family with transporting their apples throughout Hell. However, he unfortunately bumps into and gets into a fight with the Cold-hearted Overlord, who insults him with the way he speaks in his hometown's accent. In triumph over his defeat, Vil forces Epel to work for him in his studio and become his personal project in exchange for providing help to Epel’s family to sell their products.
And since then, Epel has been, under contract, working for Vil in the Vees studio; mostly being a model for Velvet’s fashion and makeup brands and Vil teaching him proper etiquette while they live in the Pomefiore district. Epel hated how he was forced into Vil's overbearing beauty standards and constantly fought with the Overlord a lot, only to end up defeated afterwards. At least he has some people he could talk to in the studio, but it does piss Vil off whenever he hangs out with Angel from time to time.
Ortho Shroud:
With the real Ortho not being alive or his soul not in Hell (A/N: sweet baby’s too adorable to be there,) Ortho was created by Idia to be an exact image of his late brother, including having all of Ortho’s memories and personality. Idia created him out of Angelic steel, ensuring that he wouldn’t get damaged by any weapons while ensuring he won’t be slain from any exorcists. Ortho even tries to imitate his brother by making his hair look like his brother’s flaming hair and making his eyes glow as well. He spends his time helping Idia with his inventions and setting up meetings with Carmila, although he wishes his brother would attend them with him and make more finds. He has hope though.
Lilia Vanrouge:
From the beginning, Lilia and Lucifer were very close friends, during a time when Lucifer wasn’t appreciated by his fellow angels because of his ideas. Lilia served as a former holy guard, appointed by the elders to guard the Garden of Eden and make sure the first humans wouldn’t be tempted to sin. However, he felt sympathetic to Lilith’s independence and Lucifer’s dreams for humanity, so he secretly allowed them inside the garden.
Who would have known that when evil was released to Earth and Lucifer and Lilith were banished to Hell, Lilia and six other angels would rebel against heaven and become the first sets of Fallen Angels. They would be caught in a battle that would last for years on earth, until they were overrun and fled back to Hell. Lilia would continue to stay in contact with the royal family, sometimes even going to Earth, to give Lucifer some updates about humanity.
Although he was thankful for doing so much during his eternity of living, he had never been close to anyone, say for Lucifer, Lilith, and the other deadly sins. But that seemed to change when: he oversees watching over Malleus and teaches him about the human soul, he is asked by Sebek to train him to become a knight, and he found and adopted a human baby he named Silver. Hopefully, Lilia will continue to live until his death with the memories of the people he loves.
Silver:
Not much is known about his past, mainly about what he was or where he came from. All he knows is that Lilia found him as a baby on May 15, 1936. He didn’t understand why his father decided to adopt him since he was only human, but Lilia took him in and raised him as best he could. You can also imagine his surprise when Lilia recounted a story about how Lucifer couldn’t stop gushing over him when he told him and Lilith about Silver.
Now, the death of a human while in Hell is a bit tricky, instead of the usual soul falling into Hell, the body must undergo a painful transformation before they can begin their afterlife. So, when Silver unexpectedly died from an incurable illness January 29, 1959, at the age of 22, his body only grew gray and didn’t develop any demonic traits. Silver was so confused, he fled the castle, even if his body was still under recovery, until Lilia found him and cared for him while he was bedridden.
Over time, Silver had asked Lilia to teach him how to fight and use magic, since he had always wanted to learn when Lilia told him stories during the war. So he, along with a new apprentice named Sebek, Lilia taught them everything, from hand to hand combat, holy weapons training and magic lessons. Silver then decides to honor his father and to serve as a loyal guard, protecting his father, Malleus and even the royal family, should the time come.

This is just a chapter about the different rings in hell for world-building also I got most of it off of the Hazbin WIki and just added a few of my own wording but full credit goes to the wiki writer - Cannibals Creations
Tumblr media
Our story begins in Hell, the realm of eternal torment and suffering created by Lucifer and Lillith as punishment for disobeying Heaven’s rules, where the damned souls of the wicked are sent to pay for their sins for all eternity but for the Hellborn’s it was just another day of life. Hell is divided into seven different districts called rings each with varying different skies and representing the 7 deadly sins.
The highest, largest, and most populated and diverse ring is Pride with its red colour sky. It contains all of Hell’s sinner population and Hell-borns including the Overlords who govern over the lands. Due to being the highest ring, it is also the closest to Heaven which can be viewed in Pride's skyline. Unlike the other rings, Pride also has different sections, known as the Nine Circles. were the Magne family rules, with Lucifer Magne and Lilith Magne ruling over the entirety of Hell. due to Pride’s overpopulation of sinners every year, they would send down an army to exterminate them, to ensure Hell and its sinners could never rise against them.
The second ring is Wrath with its orange colour sky. The ring has a volcanic, desert, and rural landscape. Much of the Wrath Ring's inhabitants rely on agriculture for their livelihood, thus most of Hell's food supply is produced in the Wrath Ring. Unlike the other rings, Wrath lacks a proper ruler, and thus, many of the demons within vie for the position of de-facto ruler, which leads to the ring being devastated by the never-ending war, making this the most lawless ring in all of Hell. The majority of Wrath is populated by imps.
The third ring with its yellow coloured skies and its rectangular beehive pattern you have Gluttony. Regarded as the "party central" of Hell, the Gluttony Ring is dominated by restaurants and dance clubs and has a beach and food motif with many of the locations within barring resemblance to food. The ring also has many tropical landscapes, as well as jungles. The majority of Gluttony's native population consists of insectoid demons and Hellhound. With its ruler being the queen bee herself Bee-lzebub.
The fourth ring is Greed with its sky mainly being a pale or dark green colour due to the severe pollution that occurs within the ring. The Greed Ring is the centre of all crime in Hell and distributes much of Hell's material possessions, such as vehicles and jewellery. The ring is home to many clown or jester demons and is famous for its abundance of casinos, carnivals, and other similar businesses. The king of this ring is Mammon.
For the fifth ring with its dark blue colour sky, you have Lust which consists mainly of flashy strip clubs or hotels, It is almost always raining in the Lust Ring due to waters from the Greed Ring's oceans spilling into the ring below. The majority of Lust's native population are succubi and incubi. With Asmodeus being this rings king, he is also the owner of the dinner theatre restaurant Ozzie’s, as well as a factory for producing all manner of sex toys, where he works with his boyfriend and business partner Fizzarolli.
For the sixth ring, you have Envy with its Purple sky. An opulent and oceanic ring home to many of Hell's sea demons such as sharks, merfolk, sirens, and various sea creatures. The ring was originally ruled by Leviathan Von Eldritch until he established a family, who ruled the ring as a whole. Following the death of King Leviathan Von Eldritch and the exile of Prince Seviathan and Princess Hellsa Von Eldritch from Envy by Queen Bethesda Von Eldritch, she became the only and current ruler of Envy.
At number seven you have Sloth where the "sky" is a primarily pink color. It is where the majority of Hell's technology and medical supplies are produced, and is the most technologically advanced ring in all of Hell. The ring is viewed as a popular vacation spot and where most of Hell's retired demons reside, due to its reputation for luxury and convenience. Many wealthy demons, such as the Ars Gotias, also have a large presence in this ring. The native population of the Sloth Ring formerly consisted mainly of Hellhounds, although this title eventually changed to Baphomet demons once Sloth's oppressive laws against Hellhounds were enforced. The king of this ring is Belphegor. Due to the King of Sloth's death and the fall of Belph-Tech, the ring is currently without a ruler and has been effectively taken over by the Hellhound resistance.
But amidst the writhing souls and the cacophony of screams resides Tyler a hell-born known as the Loa of Death and Shadows and his story on how he would not just be known for his shadows but also for marring a certain Radio Star.

Since you mentioned Hell being like an alternate version of Earth essentially, how do you feel that kinda conflicts with the point in Charlie's whole plan for rehabilitation? I mean, she says things are bad down their for sinners (or in general), but, I mean, there's a freaking rehab in the Sloth Ring and the Queen of Gluttony is a good person who cares for her people. Maybe she's just refering to the Pride Ring where the sinners are contained, but aside from that, I feel like these factors kinda lesson the stakes and purpose of her hotel as Hell isn't really that bad in comparison to how she describes it.
I think the obvious problem that stems from this is that when Viv wrote the pilot for Hazbin, she CLEARY didn’t have the idea of the seven rings fully scoped out in her head at the time. Charlie’s dialogue never indicated that she was talking about one specific location and one form of demon species, not even just her dialogue but Katie’s too, the “Demons ALL over hell are duking it out to gain new territory”. Charlie meanwhile always kept saying “Hell” as in ALL of hell, or that’s at least what an average viewer would have assumed, especially since the nine circles are mentioned so people would just assume Viv’s taking from Dante’s Inferno and that the rest of hell is also filled with sinners…or demons so to speak, since Viv also never made it clear that her interpretation of “demons” are sinners who got sent to hell. No one would have been able to predict that there were also other hellborns in this world, especially since Charlie flat out says “as most of you know I was born here in hell” as if she was the ONLY member who was.
And I should make it clear that I’m not saying having Hellborns is a bad idea, it makes sense in my opinion….it’s just that…yeah, most of the stuff we learn for Helluva contradicts the plot for HH. There’s therapy in hell, there’s REHAB in hell, there’s JAIL in hell, there’s organized crime in hell, Hell has an overpopulation problem and yet IMP is allowed to kill and make MORE sinners end up in Hell every day, Heaven has really strict laws against their own kind so what makes people think they’d welcome a sinner, the list goes on. The whole point of the hotel was to send damned souls into Heaven because Hell (or should I say the pride ring, see how stupid that sounds?) is overpopulated but it’s weird that the rest of hell is just…completely unaffected by this.

the whole “sinners can’t go to other rings because it’ll be unsafe for hell Borns” thing makes the hell born and the deadly sins by proxy look weak.
I know Hazbin hasn’t come out yet just let me speak my BS really quick and I'll disappear for a few months. Also sorry for jumping on the “Hazbin is trash, and it hasn’t even come out yet” train. Not that I think it’s going to be trash I think it going to be good actually, but I don’t want anyone to think i'm just poking holes in the boat for no reason.
but this has been on my mind for like a few weeks straight I need to scream into the void
I know I'm asking a pointless question but why do the sinners have powers anyways? Is it like a soul thing? Where some humans have powerful souls that carry on to the afterlife?
Because hell's most popular interpretation is a place where humans are sent to be tortured for not being good people or allowing themselves to sin. So why in hell (heh) can't the hell born protect themselves from the sinners? If the whole point of hell is to make the sinners suffer then why are the hell born weaker (so it seems) than the sinners
I know you're probably like “dude who cares?” and I mean yeah, but like shut up! I care! lol
Also, if sinners aren't there to be tortured, I have another question that is pointless what's the point of hell in the context of Hazbin and Helluva? I honestly wish the pilot was about the workings of hell and not the characters but then it wouldn’t have been as popular because the characters were the selling point. The pilot just drops us into the action and doesn’t explain enough about hell. This obviously isn't your momma’s hell but what kind of hell is it? Why are the sinners so powerful that they would be a threat to demons born there? They are demons! Why would they be so susceptible to destruction by a bunch of puny (dead) human mortals that are immortal until killed by another immortal mortal or slain in the yearly rapture I mean extermination.
Also why don’t they just make the pride ring bigger? Assuming that Hell isn't confided to a set space
make
it
bigger
There's nothing stopping this
if Lucifer doesn’t believe in Charlie's cause he should just make the pride ring bigger so they don’t need the extermination and Charlie would have no need to go on her whole rehabilitation thing. Just kick her while she's down! Why not?
Wait a minute!
Why isn't hell infinite? Is heaven not infante? What happens if heaven and hell are both overpopulated now you're just doing the homeless thing where people send them to other cities and then so on.
I know I'm asking questions that can't be answered yet but like... what do you mean “hell is overpopulated”?
What!?
Do you know how many people have lived and died on earth and are continuing to live and die? Like a lot! more than 10 one could say, so why does the afterlife have a max capacity?
That isn't very efficient
Anyways... Hazbin comes out in January yay! I'm so excited believe it or not I can't wait to have more Nifty, Husk and Angel content >w<

The regret of a Father
This is a fanfic that scream ANGST. Hope that you all will like it. And before start, always remember: The ending isn't what we want, but what she need.
What if Lucifer had a child with Mc, and for some reason he neglects them ? And if the child die? What will do Lucifer?
Good reads
1012 words all chapters
Tumblr media
Prolog
There was an angel who rebelled. There was also a demon, who fell in love. Among them, there was a father, who was not a father. All 3 had one thing in common: they were the same being. Lucifer boasted a lot of qualities and many sang his story. But few know what I'm going to tell you. The Lucifer I'm going to talk about is not the Avatar of Pride, not even the right hand of the king of hell. Not even the older brother you know and certainly not the lover and husband of one of the strongest witches who ever lived.
Our Lucifer discovered what remorse means the day they knocked on the door of the House of Laments. There is much news he received in his long life, but that one was perhaps the worst. But before that, let's go back a few years ago.
The exchange student program conceived by the, at that time, prince of the Devildom had now come to an end. The ending was one of the best, so much so that all the newspapers talked about it for months and months. A union that brought joy and celebration to the streets of the whole capital. Mc, strong witch and one of the human exchange students, had just married the former light bearer now Avatar of Pride: Lucifer Morningstar. With this marriage, the first project to unite the 3 kingdoms was concluded.
But what now awaited the private lives of the seven rulers of hell was an even more difficult test.
An unexpected pregnancy broke the peace that reigned in the new Morningstar family. The news, however, was received with extreme happiness. And as time passed, 20 weeks later, the gender of the future little demon was discovered. A little girl was about to arrive.
The choice of the name was difficult and many "juniors" were proposed. But the final word awaited only the 2 future parents.
Aurora Lilith Morningstar
The first name was in honor of the father: as his name in Latin means "bearer of light", the first name of the daughter meant "dawn" or "sunlight" in greek. The story of the middle name, I think, is known to everyone.
However, our story does not have a happy ending. The more the days went by, the more Mc weakened. Various hypotheses were made about the reason and were gradually discarded, until only one was left. The little girl was killing her mother. How can a human body carry the pregnancy of a half-demon to term?
“Abort! It's killing you." “How can you ask me to kill our daughter.” “I don't care about her. Choose life. Choose me!"
Nothing and no one made the mother, now on the verge of death, change her mind.
And so, on a cold winter day, in the middle of the school exam period, Aurora was born and Mc died.
Even heaven was moved by the cry of the widower, unlike the cry of the newborn, which was heard only by the doctors.
Now, how could Lucifer deal with that "thing", the killer of his wife. And so, for 10 human years, she was sent to her maternal grandparents, who saw in the little girl the last memory of their daughter. But she grew up too fast and they didn't have much time left to live. They showered her with love and taught her kindness. Of demonic had only the speed of growth. At 2 she looked like she was 4, at 6 she looked like she was 10. But temperamentally only to an angel could be compared. As intelligent as anyone before, she never fell behind in school, even though she studied from home.
An extremely rare beauty: hair as black and soft as silk and eyes as red as ruby; a clear and soft skin without imperfections. Unaware of who she had inherited these characteristics from, she grew up calm and serene.
Her life became hell when she had to go to the homonymous place. At the age of 10, and 16 outwardly, with the death of her grandparents she had to move in with the father she had never known.
So full of enthusiasm and hope, she was happy to meet her father. She had many questions to ask him and a lot of curiosity about the demon world. She wanted to know where he had been so far and if he wanted to meet her; If demons are as they are described; How did he meet her mother; If she has a demon form and how to see it.
How could she expect to find such a cold attitude towards her?
But this story is not my job to tell.
I can only tell you the ending, which is nothing more than the news told at the beginning.
“The body of a young girl has been found. She threw herself off the course that overlooks the city”. Why on earth could such a thing interest him? The answer to this question is an anklet with a pendant representing a black wing, where a name that he didn't want to hear was engraved on the back.
Tell me Lucifer, how are you feeling? What does it feel like?
It's not the same, right? Not the same feeling as when you lost MC and Lilith. This is bitter, painful.
Finding out that someone you didn't know has died. “It shouldn't hurt” you said to yourself, “It's better this way”. Yet you are lying in a room full of memories and emotions.
Everything and nothing scream your name. It hurts to miss her. The desire to want to know who your daughter was.
Awards, medals and cups that tell a story in which you are not present, but which was written just to get your attention.
Flowers on a grave don't help you. Tears come down and you can't stop them. They come ashore until they become a sea in which you begin to drown.
Tell me Lucifer, what does a father's remorse taste like

I'm a Lucifer stan; I love him... i swear.

World/Lore Building - Redoing the Rings of Hell [Pt 2.1- The Pride Ring]
Tumblr media
Already mentioned that the reimagined Rings of Hell series is gonna be in eight parts, the first part can be found and read here which talks about the basics like color change, thoughts on the rings themselves, briefly talking about what I'd change (if none at all) or add on to of general feel and aesthetic, and with travel between rings. In this part, we're gonna talk about The Pride Ring.
This post will be touching on...a lot. So much that I'm dividing Pride into two parts. The first part being about the Ring and places within it, while the second part will talk about citizens and culture.
So, obviously, this will be under read more and likely to be looooong af so...
Okay to reblog, feedback and criticism is welcomed.
Part One: The Pride Ring in Canon
I already said in my last post that I don't mind the city hellscape Pride is going for. Is it the most creative? Not really, but I don't mind it. What I do mind however is all THE GOD DAMN RED! This is a problem with Hellaverse in general (more so Hazbin than Helluva tho) but it's a bit of an eye sore. Everything around it just all blends together. Lets add all kinds of color. In fact let's make the sky less red with more blue, purple and and gray hues the higher the sky goes with the red being more from the lights and pollution of the city below.
But let's put aside the aesthetic for a second and talk about the worldbuilding around it. Like all of Hellaverse, it leaves me with more questions than answers.
Why are Sinners stuck and only in Pride? Is there a reason for this? Why bother having other rings then if sinners of those sins aren't going to be sent to those rings? Why are Hellborn exempt from the Extermination? Wouldn't Heaven be more worried about Hellborn rising up than Sinners considering that Sinners are sent down, or at least suppose to, there to be damned for all eternality while Hellborn are born there and possibility created by the Sins themselves? Wouldn't they fear what Lucifer and the Sins/other powerful demons wanting to start a war being...well they hold the power in Hell and have legions and things? Why are Overlords as powerful as they are? What even are they? How do some of them even have powers to begin with? How did they gain those powers? Am I overthinking all of this? Am I out of touch? Am I out of time? *starts singing* Am I out of my head when you're not around?
...yeah I think I may just be loosing it at this point...
UPDATE: So as I'm writing this, some stuff from Hazbin Hotel's production leaked and we now have a map with the names of those sections:
Tumblr media
While this doesn't change too much it has helped me a bit in writing progress.
Part Two: Redoing Pride (Aesthesis and structure)
Found this little tidbit online somewhere (I'd rant about why all this lore shit is behind a patreon paywall suppose to being in the show itself but we're getting a head of ourselves):
Tumblr media
Okay I'm kind of curious about these 'nine circles' things and how they're different from the rings. It makes sense for Pride to be the largest and most diverse being not only do you have Hellborn that likely moved from different rings sharing their culture but you also got sinners and their different customs, religions and walks of life. It'd be really interesting to see those sent to Hell regardless if they deserve to be down there or not sharing parts of their past life with hellborn and vice versa but I'll discuss this a little later.
I decided not to incorporate the nine circles thing into my AU because it asks more questions for me than answers but will have nine main areas in my version of Pride. (I guess that is incorporating it but blah!!)
In the center we have Pentagram City, or as I'm gonna rename it The Pentagram, the hub and heart of Pride and likely where you'll land in Hell if your 'crimes' in life were related to the sin of Pride to be processed and start of your new afterlife. I'm getting rid of any other cities in the ring. IMP's office is in one of the neighborhoods in Pentagram while the Happy Hotel is right at the outer edge of it.
Then we have the surrounding areas around Pentagram: The Morningstar Grounds (Lucifer's castle and estate), The Royal Estates (rich and royal demon suburb), various other suburbs made up of Hellborn and other Fallen Angels, and The Bad Lands (basically a Mad Max like wasteland where a lot of biker/punk like gangs make their home.
The Pentagram
Tumblr media
Basically it's close to the same idea as it is in the show except I plan to have each section of it having some sort of theme related to sin or/and cultures ruled by different overlords/gang leaders. I talked about Overlords here.
There are eleven major districts:
Red Light/Entertainment District:
Basically a mini Lust Ring but there's a bit of Gluttony in the mix too. Ya know: nightlife, drugs, sex. Basically a hedonist's wetdream. There is various other entertainment options such as bars and shops, but sex and drugs is what sells here! This is also where Voxtec's HQ is. Voxtec owns most, if not ALL of the businesses in the area and is the biggest media conglomerate in Pride (though Vox does want to expand into other rings if he can). Valentino works the sexual industry aspects of it, Vox controlling the mass media of it while Velvet works the social influencer angle while also low key playing PR because as the wise words once spoken by Cassandra Nova from the box office smash movie Deadpool and Wolverine said: Boys are so silly.
(aka Vox and Val can be pretty unhinged at times yet somehow Velvet who died in the late 2010's at the ripe age of 19-20 is more mentally stable, or at the very least no where as unhinged, than the guys that died in the 60's and 70's respectfully).
Look I think I'm funny...
Though there are businesses that have individual owners with no connections to the Vee's, don't expect those to remain independent for long. XDD
As aesthetic go: I wanted to go with the red light district vibe that I hinted at and the first thing that came to mind was Kabukichō in Shinjuku, a part of Tokyo in Japan. The lights, the sneezy bars (not all are in kabumicho obviously but the area is infamous for taking advantage of tourist and ripping them off/drugging them and stealing their money if you're not careful on where you go) plus the love hotels and host clubs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cannibal Town:
Basically what it says on the tin. It's basically the same as it is in the show expect it's a mixture of Sinners and Hellborn cannibals. The feel is the same as in the show but the citizens that live there aren't all stuck in the 1800's/1920's or something there's a variety of sick twisted people from different eras, but that side of town does still keeps it's vintage 1910's and small American downtown feel going for it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously Gluttony is the sin most prevalent here.
No one runs the district presay but Rosie is seen as the de facto leader due to how heavily involve she is in Cannibal Town's politics and her ownership of a few successful business in the area. Of course her personality with her kind, motherly like nature has those looking up to her for guidance also helps. She's also a Hellborn Overlord in this rewrite, granted a small timer compare to many of the others but still powerful enough to be respected. Most of the cannibal's we see in CT in the show are Hellborn as well. They're there own species in Hell that stemmed from Gluttony likely before Hell was established like it is now but eventually made their way all over Hell's rings, with the Pride ring being the biggest community.
The Old Town Historic District (will think of a better name later), REPLACES DOOMSDAY ON THE MAP!!
One of the major Hellborn centric, along with being likely the oldest district in The Pentagram, but Sinners are seen here as well even if its often advised to use caution when entering the area due to Sinners not necessarily looking fondly on. Sinners also aren't able to use most magic themselves.
The Old District is the few areas in the Pentagram that still kept it's otherworldly-ness. It's one of the major hubs for anything magic related. Potions, spell books, tomes, etc. The best, and only, place in Pride for all your magical needs. Sloth and Pride are the themes of sins you'd see here
Zestial is the Overlord (hellborn in this AU) who runs this district due to his major influence and is one, if not THE oldest Overlord to still have power.
As aesthetic go: I really want to make it otherworldly, or at least un recognizable to anything on Earth being it's one of the oldest parts of Hell. The vibe I'm going for:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course, book stores. Lots and lots of book stores with spells:
Tumblr media
Industrial District
Again, what it says on the tin. Basically a mixture of warehouses, factories, and infrastructure both important to Pride and not so important. Greed is the sin most rapid here along with Sloth due to production and it shouldn't surprise people that some people from the Greed Ring (including Mammon but Ssh don't tell Lucifer xD) have some sake/power in the area due to investment opportunities. The District is also where the delivery and export of goods and services from and to Pride and other rings come and go.
I haven't decided who runs the district (Likely a Hellborn Overlord who may be secretly a proxy under Mammon because c'mon that guy IS GREED if he can get his fingers on it he'll take it.), but this is where Carmilla Carmine stores most of her goods while also producing and experimenting with angelic weapons.
Most powerful people/Overlords who do business in the area don't end up living there. They have homes in surrounding districts. If anything, the living quarters in the District are where those who live inside The Pentagram but don't have the Souls (Hell's currency) to afford anywhere better to live (or if the owner of their 'soul' forces them to live but more Overlords let those under them live wherever they want). Best way to describe these quarters are like the favelas they have in Brazil:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Five Border Districts:
I don't have names for these sections yet but these areas are made up of both Sinners and Hellborn, but two of them are more Hellborn centric (The ones on the right near the Old District) while the other three is more Sinner territory. I.M.P Offices are in the district in between Uptown and The Red Light districts. There are two Hellborn Overlords who rule both Hellborn centric districts (Zeezi and that blue flame skeleton looking guy in E3 that I'm call Frederick Fumes for now idk he looks like Frederick xD ). I haven't figured out names for the Three Overlords who rule the other areas yet but they'll likely be OCs though I may have one being an Hellborn despite being more Sinner base. Honestly they likely won't play an important role in the stories anyways so kinda doesn't matter in the long run.
aesthetic wise they're basically a mixture of old, otherworldly and modern, closer to earth architecture depending where the lean on who populates these areas the most are.
Uptown:
What is there really to say here? xD it's an uptown area. Mostly Sinners with a mixture of Hellborn. This is where the Happy Hotel resides. The Overlord who runs the district is a good friend of the Morningstar family which is why they let Charlie set up their 'pet project' there along with whatever 'token' resources Lucifer gave her (aka an old warehouse/building no one was using and nothing else 'you're on your own kid have fun' kinda ordeal).
This is also where Alastor's Radio Station broadcasts his show from (along with the screams of souls that he's taken) every morning and when he feels like ruining Vox's day.
Aesthetic wise it's basically similar to what the Five Border Districts have going on, a mixture of old and new. Tons of bigger buildings towards Downtown while slowly turning more into row housing and smaller buildings towards the hotel.
Downtown
And the final and center district of The Pentagram: Downtown! I mean, there's not much to say about it. Tall buildings, bustling businesses, tons of restaurants, etc. This is also where Sinners who land themselves in Pride after they die go to though 'immigration' and begin their start of their new afterlife. Welcome to Hell, Bitch!
However, the most (in)famous landmark is the Heavenly Clock Tower and Embassy, where the leaders of both Hell and Heaven argue and scream at eachother discuss political matters and other issues like insulting Lucifer and some of the Sins while also making sure they understand 'their place' in the system to prevent another uprising and have them bow in submission in regard to keeping the peace. The embassy remains empty about most of the year with the exception of important meetings. If anything, it's main function is the countdown when the next Extermination is.
Aesthetic is basically the same as above with a few more angelic looking buildings closer to the clock tower/embassy, often left vacant incase Heaven chooses to use them for whatever reason in the future (aka never). There's no Overlords who run the district, mostly due to heavy monitoring from Heaven above. They want to protect their little control of Hell after all.
Okay we got The Pentagram out of the way, lets talk about the other eight sections.
The Morningstar Grounds
What it says on the tin (I know I use that saying a lot but there isn't much to describe what it is). East from The Old District, this is where Lucifer and the Morningstar family live. It's basically a huge estate, one fit for a King.
There's not much more so say. Plenty of rooms, many servants and guards (all Hellborn), a huge garden in the center where Lucifer likes to spend a share of time in in filled with exotic plants from though out Hell, as well as some of his favorites back from Heaven (he's a little more nostalgic and homesick that he leads on).
Charlie no longer lives here both due to her work for the Hotel and well...she isn't on the best terms with her father (She's still good with her mother Lilith though). I'll talk about that another day though.
Aesthetic wise I haven't fully decided on one persay but here are some ideas of what I'm possibility aiming at in regard to the castle itself:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for it's interior: Think a lot of royal colors. Purple is one you'll see though out because, ya know Pride, and various crystal and metal embellishments. It almost has a similar architecture to Heaven but painted in more dark hues. And of course, the Estates garden:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Royal Estates
What it says- You know, nm you know the the drill by now. A suburb where various powerful and rich clans and families make their home. Stolas' mansion is here, along with a few other established names and Ars Goetia. The most established clan of demons that live here would be The Aerius, which are basically the bird people in canon we got now. Stolas and his family, Andrealphus (who's also an Ars Goetia of course) and Asmodeus are all part of this clan (for Ozzie's sake and sanity though, he wish he wasn't. XDD). All the homes vary from more 'hellish' to looking similar to the way Stolas' home is in the show. While the suburb is mostly made up of homes, there is a little downtown like area in the center and a main street when you first enter the area with shops and restaurants along with whatever else they desire. Who wants to share a space with those sinners and hellborn presents afterall? Disgusting!
The Five other Suburbs
I'm still working this area out but there are five other suburbs to the Estates but no where as posh/not posh and kinda mundane honestly. Not interesting and likely won't be bought up much outside of maybe I.M.P visiting these areas once in a while. The major four are all hellborn being Sinners took over most of the city and they wish to stay far from them when possible, with one suburb being more imp and lower rank demon centric. the fifth one is a small area that's aimed towards Fallen Angels that aren't royalty or higher rank, but Hellborn live here as well.
(Heaven likes to deny it, but more of their ilk are declared Fallen that they claim though it isn't as common now due to cracking down on free thinkers and plenty of propaganda to keep the status quo)
Each area has it's own culture and feel due to Hellborn from around Hell live in these areas, not just those from Pride. Maybe I'll go deeper into these suburbs later on the line but there isn't much more to say right now.
The Bad Lands
And finally, lets talk about the vast lawless (not that there are any LAWS in Pride, let alone much in Hell), dangerous and unpredictable wasteland that those in Pride have titled The Bad Lands. There's no real civilization out here, only wildlife and dangers that made Hell it's home far before Lucifer's Fall, along with some creations that Lucifer himself made himself that he couldn't tame. There are a few fringed groups that made The Bad Lands their home, a lot of punk and biker gangs, mostly Sinners, along with a few hunting guilds. Cherri Bomb is a part (or at least was) of one of these gangs and Barbie may have hanged with a few of them during her party girl/relapse stage.
But why adventure out into The Bad Lands to begin with? Only someone that's either stupid or desperate for a thrill that The Pentagram doesn't offer them would dare to step foot out alone. Perhaps some are looking to build there own little community of likeminded individuals or maybe a cult they can have control over. Maybe some wish to seek out and take on the various creatures there and to sell resources gathered to those within the city, or maybe it really is as simple as taking a risk. It's not like you have anything else to lose now that you live in Hell...
The place is also used by many Overlords as a place to execut and 'dispose' of bodies (Hellborn or Sinners killed by angelic weapons) or restrained to suffer a slow death by being left to the elements/be feasted on by the wildlife there.
As aesthetics go, I wanted to go with an otherworldly feel, something you wouldn't see on Earth, but at the same time also feel familiar. Either way, its a place that screams 'fear' and 'danger'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, not sure when I'll get the second part of this out. Hopefully sooner than later but we'll see...
Thanks for reading. Pt2 of the Pride Ring coming soon.

Hell-ish Timeline
The Earth: The planet is formed by God, and the angels are sent to watch over it. The dinosaurs are the first life forms, as well as the aquatic fish.
The Garden: The Human Experiment by the Elder Angels. Lucifer is smitten by Adam and Lilith, and their friendship lasts a year; Lucifer and Lilith are discovered to be having an affair and forcefully separated. Lilith is banished from the Garden and Lucifer is on lockdown for six months before he manages to escape. He steals the Fruit intending to give it to Lilith thinking it might keep her safe, but she insists on giving it to Adam and Eve to save them from Heaven. This event triggers the Root of All Evil to take place.
The Trial + The Fall: Lucifer and Lilith are arrested and taken to court before the Elder Angels; deemed guilty for their crimes despite pleading ignorance, Lucifer is forcefully thrown from Heaven with Lilith jumping after him; they crashland in Hell, breaking Lucifer's wings and transforming Lilith into the First Demon.
The Dawn Age of Hell: Lucifer and Lilith attempt to create something out of the barren wasteland they landed in. The Sins are the first to form, with Asmodeus and Satan as the first and the oldest. The Ars Goetia arrive as well, establishing themselves as the keepers of Earthen Knowledge and ancient magic. Lucifer tries to return to Earth many times, only to discover the chains holding him in Hell are never breaking. Slowly, they begin expanding the realm, forming the Rings and the Sins each take a Ring to rule over in Lucifer's name, with Pride being the first; "Pride goeth before the Fall".
The Sinners Arrival: Human Souls did not start arriving in Hell until the time of Noah. When the Great Flood killed them all, save for Noah and his family upon the Ark, Lucifer and Lilith were shocked by this predicament. In a surge of empathy, Lucifer began to try and redeem the Sinners, establishing rules and order. The Sinners, prickly and dark, began to respond well to this new land, and Lucifer felt hope. He began to try and contact Heaven for help on his endeavors, but he was consistently ignored.
The Dark Age: Sinners kept arriving, becoming worse and worse with every generation. Law and order were beginning to strain under the weight of it all. Lucifer discovered that the Sinners were blaming him for their wickedness through Paimon, and when he reached out to Heaven one final time, he was given one clear message: You are responsible for humanity's darkness, and thus you shall only ever behold the wicked hearts born from your actions. In retaliation, Lucifer became a cruel ruler, establishing terror over his realm in order to bring things back into proper order. He frequently tortured and ate Sinners at his own leisure; when the Sinners realized he wasn't going after the Hellborn, this began the divide between the Sinners and the Hellborn, forcing the Hellborn further down the hierarchy. The Dark Age lasts for 4,000 years.
The Silver Age: Extremely brief. Lucifer's depression had taken hold, and the Dark Age was coming to a quiet end. There was relative peace for about 300 years, with the surviving Sinners warning the newly manifested Sinners to toe the line and not piss off Lucifer lest they want to be ripped apart or consumed.
The Extermination Age: Lucifer was finally dragged back to Heaven to discuss the idea of the Exterminations. He begged and pleaded for a chance to redeem the Sinners properly, trying to persuade Sera that the Sinners could make the work if they really wanted to, but Sera insisted it could not be done. After hours of back and forth, Lucifer finally reluctantly signed the deal to allow the Exterminations. The Sinners are rounded up from the other Rings, trapped forever in Pride, to be nothing but sitting ducks.
A New Heir Is Born: Charlotte Morningstar is born -- under mysterious circumstances -- 2,000 years after the first Extermination Day. She is the apple of her father's eye, and the pride of all of the realm of Hell. Unfortunately, shortly after her birth, the King and Queen are rumored to be slowly drifting apart.
The Hazbin Hotel: Currently happening; the Princess of Hell is trying to redeem souls, much like her father before her. Except this time, she promises that she will succeed, and Lucifer hopes that she will.

Note
Hellaverse Sinner theory:
Once upon a time, Sinners who fell into Hell were able to traverse all 7 rings, with Pride merely being their first stop upon arrival from Earth. For a long time, there was no problem with the numbers of Sinners who came in by the day. But eventually, the numbers of Sinners in every ring grew so high that they were beginning to encroach upon the Hellborns and their living spaces, crowding them out and even getting violent with them.
Due to being more powerful than the regular/standard Hellborns, the Sinners killed many of them and took over much of their lands, straining and even exhausting resources for any Hellborns who were still alive. It got bad enough that the Hellborns were starting to become endangered if not at risk of becoming extinct. The authorities of Hell, the Deadly Sins -but mainly Lucifer himself- took action to try and put a stop to this. But their attempts proved ineffective due to the Sinners' immortality, and more Sinners continued to arrive in Hell from Earth without stopping.
The chaos caused by the ever-increasing Sinners reached a point that it got Heaven's attention. Out of options, Lucifer begged Heaven to do something about this 'overpopulation crisis'. So the angels sent down a number of their own, the Exorcists, to kill off the Sinners that infested the 7 rings, felling them with sweeps like clear-cutting a forest or weeds. The purging was so dramatically extensive (lasting more than a day) that the Exorcists ended up killing off every last Sinner, reducing the Sinner population to zero.
The Exorcists considered their work finished after that. But Lucifer knew that more Sinners will simply arrive from Earth and replace the dead ones, ensuring that the problem will return and never end or go away. When he told them of this technicality, the Exorcists decide to leave behind the weapons they used to kill the Sinners so that they can be used by Hell's denizens to regulate the problem on their own. With that, the black market for angelic weaponry was born.
To ensure that this disaster would never happen again, it was arranged that all Sinners who entered Hell would reside only in Pride - they entered Hell through Pride, so they would stay/live in Pride and die in Pride; this is also so that a closer eye can be kept on the Sinners' numbers, movements, and activities. Lucifer also arranged with Heaven to repeat the fateful extermination on one day a year since the growth of the Sinner population tended to be rapid, somewhat too fast for demons wielding angelic weaponry to handle - that is something Heaven was also aware of. Since the Sinners were confined to Pride at that point, managing the population through extermination could be done at a lesser degree, as it was now easier to find targets.
Thanks to these arrangements, the Hellborn population in the rest of Hell was able to recover until it was stable again. But even after that, the Sinners still remained in Pride, them having been deemed too dangerous to allow free reign anywhere else in Hell ever again.
And that is how things in Hell by the time of the show came to be. What do you think?
Holy crap you put a lot of work and detail into this! This is amazing! ^_^<3 This is honestly really cool and it would be interesting if this is the reason for the Extermination. :) I also like it because from what we've seen of Adam and the Exorcists, they seem to treat the Extermination with glee while there's the chance that Lucifer sees it as being a necessary evil/something for the greater good since the alternative is the extinction of all Hellborn. :)

The Apostles’ Creed –
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God
the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Our Hymn of the Day is: “O God My Faithful God”

The Sermon,
“I am the living bread that came down from Heaven”
Brothers & Sisters, peace grace, and mercy be to you through God our Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s often been said the heart of the Gospel salvation message is in a single verse, John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
And we can personalize that message in a way that takes it into our hearts and minds, “For God so loved you (each one of us can place our names here) that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The shocking truth we read in the Bible, is that God literally took on human flesh, came into this world ultimately to be beaten and crucified, died a horrible death on the cross for us to save us, and then was raised from the dead by God the Father.
All this was due to God’s grace and love, and because there was absolutely no way any of us could save ourselves.
It’s startling, sobering, even offensive to our sense of independence, self-sufficiency, our confidence.
It runs counter to our pride that God had to take such an extreme step to keep us from being eternally separated from Him.
It’s humbling.
But God’s act of salvation through Christ was necessary because something has divided us from Him -- sin.
When we reflect on the Law of God, we see our sin and know that we’re totally incapable of keeping the Law as God would have us.
It’s like trying our best in school and being told that despite our very best efforts and hard work our grade is an ‘F’ and expulsion.
But the Good News is that in God’s love, in the sacrificial love of Jesus, we see the salvation and solution only God could provide, and we get a pass, not through our own ‘merits,’ but through Christ’s payment for our sins at Calvary.
It’s a shocking message today.
A message that turns off many, turns many away.
It was true 2,000 years ago as well.
Today’s Gospel passage is part of what we call the ‘Bread of Life’ discourse.
We learn in John 6, verse 2, that crowds were following Jesus because they saw the ‘signs’ He was doing in healing the sick.
In John Chapter 6, we read the account of how 5000 men as well as their families were fed with just five barley loaves and two fish.
Our Gospel reading concludes this Sunday with a teaching about bread and flesh that many, then and now, can’t stomach.
The people who ate the miraculous meal that Jesus provided the 5000 plus, surely were hungry again in a number of hours.
They appreciated and benefitted from the earthly physical food produced by a miracle.
But they didn’t appreciate the source of the miracle, they didn’t understand that the person before them, who was both true man and true God, was here on earth to offer them spiritual food that would give them eternal life so they would never hunger again.
Instead, they wanted Jesus as the bread king, a worldly leader, a cafeteria manager with a sign outside that said “free food.”
Isn’t this true today, and even more to the point, is it sometimes true of the people we know, perhaps even of us.
The world chases everything that seems to satisfy, seems to offer comfort, that makes us feel alive in the life, at least momentarily.
It can be many things, many kinds of junk food ‘bread’ that the world chases after, while ignoring and disregarding the real food, Christ, found here in God’s Word correctly preached and taught, and in His Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
In verse 24 of John 6 we have crowds actually getting in boats to chase down Jesus, finding Him back in Capernaum.
Jesus knows their motivation.
They’re not seeking a Saviour, but a bread distributor.
And when Jesus Himself tells them not to work for the food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, the crowd, again thinking in human terms and missing the Messiah for the meal, asks, “What must we do to perform the works of God.
Or in other words what do we do to justify ourselves and get on God’s good side.
Jesus explains plainly, and goes right to the point in verse 29, “This is the work of God (meaning not theirs), believe in Him whom He has sent.’
Christ tells us to believe.
Later on, Jesus explains and reassures that it’s God who will draw them to Him.
But they don’t get it, and neither do many in the world today.
The crowd actually has the audacity to say to Christ, “What signs are you going to give us so that we’ll believe you.”
Well after healing the sick and feeding the 5000 plus you would think they’d seen enough.
But it wasn’t.
They’re back on the worldly bread thing again.
They want worldly proof.
They want another free lunch, and so they bring up the manna that God gave their ancestors.
Again, Christ explains that was food that satisfied the physical body, it wasn’t eternal spiritual food.
Their ancestors still died even with the manna.
And this is one of the essential differences between the Old and New Testaments – God’s Law and the Gospel.
Although a person ate manna in the wilderness, the person still died.
When a person ‘ate’ or lived by the Law and the Legalism of the Old Testament, that person was not feeding on the salvation and love found in the Gospel.
They weren’t eating the food that would come down from heaven in the ‘flesh and blood’ body of Jesus Christ.
Yet, incredibly, even when Christ clearly explains this, the people’s response is –‘we know your family, how can you make such claims.’
Next, in the synagogue in Capernaum, Jesus ‘ups’ the theological ante.
Christ now confronts, and brings the matter to a head.
He says to those gathered: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood you have no life in You. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.”
These words begin to reveal the price Jesus will pay in order to secure salvation for us.
Jesus knew He would offer up His body on the cross.
When He speaks of eating His flesh, He’s telling the synagogue crowd He will sacrifice His body for them, and they are to believe what that sacrifice will earn them through faith – resurrection into eternal life on the last day.
When Jesus speaks of eating His flesh and drinking His blood He’s pointing forward to the cross.
Christ isn’t instituting the Lord’s Supper here, His words are foreshadowing that Holy meal.
Now the Jews of that time and in the Capernaum synagogue would have been, and were, offended by Christ offering His flesh and blood to them.
That’s because they only saw Jesus as a man.
In the Book of Leviticus Chapter 17, verse 14, God instructs His followers not to eat the blood of living things.
Pagans did this, and God didn’t want Hid holy people to follow suit.
In order for these words not to be an offense, Jesus would have to be more than a man.
Jesus would have to possess the authority to change an Old Testament rule.
He would have to have the authority of God on earth.
And that’s exactly what Jesus had, because although they didn’t realize it, they were seeing God in human flesh right in front of them.
Christ’s claims were radical.
They ran counter to human knowledge and human reason.
Then and now.
And that’s why Jesus said no one can come to Him except by the Father.
Our own reason fails.
We don’t have the mind of God, even though at times we might be tempted to believe we do.
The Apostle Paul explained this when he wrote in 1st Corinthians 1: 22-23, ‘Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles.’
We don’t make a ‘decision’ to choose Christ as Saviour (John 15:16), nor do we ascend to Heaven on a mystical staircase.
The easiest way to understand this better is to say we have a free will about those matters which are directed to things equal to or below us.
We chose to marry a particular woman.
I choose how I will spend my day, etc.
The choices which are directed upward, however, are of another sort altogether.
There, as Martin Luther said, our will is captive.
We cannot of our own free will come Jesus or believe in him, but must be called, gathered, enlightened, and rendered holy by the Holy Spirit of God.
The choice that people make at the beginning of their faith walk is not a choice in a vacuum, and Luther wanted Biblical Christian to remember that.
It was God who awoke within the person the hunger and thirst for Jesus.
It was God who created the appetite which reaches to Christ.
It is the Holy Spirit who lowers the barriers of fear and natural rebellion so that the sinner can lift his eyes and look up to Jesus and say “Yes, Lord.”
True, the credit for the “Yes” does indeed belong to Jesus and His Spirit, but it is still the Christian who speaks it.
I often refer to baptism when I’m explaining this.
We as Lutherans believe that God works in Baptism, He reaches out and touches the sinner, forgiving their sins, creating faith, establishing relationship.
That is why we baptize infants, for the same reason that we hold them, because that touch of water is the way God puts His arms around them and says that He loves them.
God comes to us through His means of grace -- His Word and the Sacraments of Baptism & the Lord’s Supper.
And it is the Holy Spirit that works faith in Christ within us using these means.
As our Lord said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all.” (John 6:63)
The body and blood of Jesus are still stumbling blocks for many.
There are those who claim human wisdom as the ultimate knowledge.
There are many who either deny our Triune God, or attempt to make Him justify Himself to them.
All four Gospels tell us that there was a time when Jesus’ followers became fewer and fewer.
As the crucifixion grew closer, Jesus made the cross clearer.
And as the cross became clearer, Jesus’ congregation became smaller.
For the next few minutes, I’d like to focus on two verses in John 6.
In verses 53 and 54 we have a wonderful example of how God’s Word comes to us in the Bible: in Law, and in Gospel, and the correct distinction between the two.
A retired Lutheran Pastor once said to me there was only one benefit in being a Lutheran Christian: we got the Word of God right -- but that that was enough.
You might remember from your confirmation class the term ‘SOS’ – the Law shows us our sins -- the Gospel shows us our Saviour.
In verse 53 of Chapter six, Christ tells us, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you.”
So much for self-sufficiency, so much for spiritually pulling ourselves up by our own bootstraps.
So much for the politically correct view that says all religions are a path to Heaven.
And so much for thinking that we can ultimately and eternally survive and satisfy ourselves on the things of this world: money, power, the worldly flesh.
“This is a hard saying,” they told Jesus, “who can listen to it.”
Do we respond the same way today?
Do we at times fall away or at least turn away?
Verse 53 of John six is directed at non-believers, and those who believe they can save themselves.
It makes us examine ourselves and realize we come up short.
But verse 54 is pure Gospel: “Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
What blessed assurance.
What hope even over death!
What mercy, and grace, and love.
Jesus says, whoever the Father draws to me, and who believes in me, takes me into themselves, has been forgiven, and has been redeemed from the curse of the law.
That’s Good News, the best news we can ever hear!
SOS – the Gospel shows our Saviour.
And so how do we respond?
If we don’t turn or walk away, do we sometimes stand on the spiritual sidelines?
When the world says, the Good News of Christ seems like a ‘hard saying,’ do we go silent.
Or do we, in our own way and with the abilities God gives us, spread this Good News to our family, our friends, our neighbours, coworkers or fellow students.
The response of the world, that the Words of Christ are difficult and offensive, confronts us daily.
We hear it in the workplace as we do on TV and other media.
The message and values of this world challenge us relentlessly.
High school and university students are constantly bombarded with atheist propaganda.
And we should pray for them.
Christian parents and students are a light in the secular world’s darkness.
They’re told in academia that all religions are equally valid, that it’s inappropriate to believe otherwise, that it’s philosophically ‘unfashionable’ to talk about our Saviour, or the universal need for forgiveness of sin that comes through His death on the cross.
Two thousand years have passed, and people haven’t changed, but the good news is that neither has the truth of Jesus.
So where do we find our strength as Christians and as a Christian community? --
in His Word, in His sacraments, in each other, the Church, the body of Christ.
Jesus tells us clearly in John 6 and elsewhere that we need to have an abiding relationship with Him.
We cling to, and want to understand His word.
We attend Church services when they’re available, and participate in Bible studies, even if only through Facebook.
We read the Bible on our own, and in our homes.
As we turn to Christ and abide in Him, feasting on Him, we’re strengthened in our faith, and in our lives.
We say with the Apostle Peter, “Lord to whom shall we go?  You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
Brothers and Sisters, may the peace that truly passes all understanding, keep our hearts and minds in Jesus Christ, our only Saviour.
Amen.

Heaven and Angels

For any story that contains magic, it’s important to have a good idea of how it works and what its limitations are, even if the mechanics of the magic are never explored in the story. I like to have a full idea of what magic can and cannot do in my work, so that it doesn’t feel like a cheap cop-out.
In Pride & Justice, both angels and demons have similar but conflicting magic powers. In this post, I’ll be discussing the angels, and how Heaven functions!
The Structure of Heaven
The Kingdom of Heaven is not a castle in the clouds. It’s not a castle at all, nor any sort of physical place someone might be able to reach. Heaven is one patch in a marvelous quilt of creation, stitched by the One and Only God. Like that same quilt folded into halves, Heaven rests over Earth, a dimension far beyond the stretch of outer space.
Humans, once called back to God after their deaths, can never return to Earth, merely able to peek over the edge and glimpse the world they left. Intentionally so—they were never meant to grasp the power that Heaven might grant, built for Earth and Earth alone. Angels, however, are created in Heaven and able to make use of their higher position, They can slip easily through the gaps in the stitching, hopping from one quilt-square to another. Most of the time, however, angels are working in Heaven, carrying out tasks they’re given by the Almighty to keep Heaven running.
Where the humans stay and where the angels work are separate. Paradise is a walled garden—while there may not be a castle, the gates are decidedly real. Those worthy of Heaven are escorted to the innermost sanctum of Heaven to begin their eternal rest, and on the way, they might pass thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of God’s soldiers. Angels defend Heaven tirelessly, ensuring that worthy souls can enjoy their well-earned peace.
And, as always, preparing for Judgement Day with a hand on their swords.
Angels
The soldiers and servants of God, created by Him to serve the interests of Heaven. They are made to be righteous, born with all capacity for good, compelled to aid humanity, and serve God wherever they go. They operate on a strict hierarchy, like any army should, and prioritize following orders to the letter.
After all, what could be more righteous than carrying out God’s Word?
Nameless
When angels are born, they have no names, nor a solid form. The flaming wheels, hundreds of eyes, dozens of wings, animal heads, and so on are a manifestation of their raw power, beautiful in its own way, but unfocused. Instead of being given a domain to watch over explicitly, God gives them a hidden purpose, a virtue to follow, and the free will to discover it for themselves.
The Nameless angels might take centuries to discover what they were made for. In that time they study under their fellow angels, contemplate God’s Word, and get sent to Earth to work miracles and observe humanity outside of paradise.
Once the Nameless discover the purpose God gave them, they are celebrated, named, and become Realized.
Realized
A Realized angel is one who has embodied their virtue so completely that it reshapes them. This can be any virtue in God’s Kingdom—there are angels of honesty, passion, charity, justice, faith, and so on. Each of the Realized are named for their given virtue and are permitted to choose a secondary form: a form resembling humanity, built in God’s own image.
Angels can choose the ins and outs of their new forms, down to the very minuscule details. Some even choose to keep some of their Nameless features—multiple heads, sets of wings, limbs, and so on. Importantly, though, once an angel has chosen their Realized form, their state is permanent. Realizing the purpose God created them for can only happen once, obviously, and the resulting change is a blessing. Not to be questioned or challenged. In times of great need, they can revert to their Nameless forms for a less concentrated but extremely powerful blast of holy energy.
Once Realized, angels are given more concrete tasks to perform around Heaven. Many are still sent to Earth, and studying under God and each other is an eternal practice, but now they can be equipped as the soldiers they were born to be.
Virtues like justice, diligence, and fortitude join the ranks as Heaven’s army. For organization, honesty, prudence, and temperance maintain the structure of Heaven and keep God’s Word at the forefront. The gentler virtues, like kindness, charity, hope, and faith remain steadfast protectors of humanity and help keep the hardened soldiers in check. The remainder—virtues like patience, humility, love, and passion—are the main force that fly down to Earth to bless humanity, though they play a role in Heaven too. Even their fellow angels need occasional reminders of what they’re fighting for.
Archangels
If all of Heaven is an army, the Archangels are its generals, bringing orders from God down to the ordinary rank-and-file. They rarely go to Earth, and even their fellow angels don’t see much of them. They’re hardly seen outside the few moments when orders are delivered, only carrying out the highest caliber of tasks themselves. All of them sit very close to the Throne of God, a place no other angel is permitted to tread… anymore.
Lately, the orders from the archangels, supposedly the Word of God Himself, have grown erratic and contradicting. Some might even call them paranoid, trying to fix problems that don’t exist, or that would cause a great deal more of them. Since the change, the Archangels have ordered on God’s behalf to tighten ranks, monitor the gates, scrutinize every last soul seeking refuge in the Kingdom of Heaven. Having no choice, the Kingdom of Heaven agreed.
Things are tense among the ordinary angels. God hasn’t been seen outside His throne room for centuries. The Archangels don’t seem to understand the orders they’re giving either. To quell the confusion, they insist that everyone trust in God’s Word and carry out His mission. When the Day of Judgement comes, they’ll all be thankful they did.
Power
In Heaven, an angel’s power is negligible. They serve God, they live eternally, they protect Heaven, but they’re only as powerful as each other. The laws of their realm are not easily persuaded by any but God Himself. It’s when they travel to Earth that their power becomes awesome indeed, able to bend and warp reality almost by mistake.
An angel at their full capacity for power will be able to perform miracles, grant blessings, and heal any wound they touch, but it’s unsustainable to all but the most powerful archangels to remain at their full capacity for long. Without a regular connection to Heaven—the dimension that is the source of their power—an angel’s abilities will begin to wane and become less potent. Eventually, their inherent gifts might drain so far that they become stuck on Earth, trapped as a human with no way to return.
Most rank-and-file angels visiting Earth for short periods use almost all their power in one burst to perform a single miracle, and then immediately retreat to avoid this fate. As all angels can feel the emotional and physical pain of the humans nearest to them, with a very wide range, this makes it easy to find places where miracles are needed. This is especially true of the Nameless, who find it difficult to maintain a presence on Earth for very long anyway. Once Realized, they’re able to focus their miracles to the pain that would best be served by their virtue, aiding humanity in more specific ways.
A minority of Realized angels wander with their powers hidden from the world around them, existing as perfectly average humans until they find an opportunity that suits them best. This is something taken up by angels that have existed for centuries upon centuries, who know their limits well, and have spent time among humans in paradise and on Earth enough to know how to blend in. Although, blending in isn’t always necessary.
When an angel spreads their wings on Earth, usually in preparation to use their power, humans stop seeing them. A being that exists between planes of existence is incalculable for the human brain to process, so their vision is simply edited not to see them. The only ones that perceive the angel are the ones that the angel directs their power to. Once the angel is gone, however, the memory is quickly edited again. Some are left wondering if what they saw was real, some forget it entirely. Either way, a miracle occurs.
So! That was the world-building I have set up so far. What do you think? I hope I got across the domino cascade that leads to the story, and why it starts as soon as Justice breaks the rules—or at least part of it. Because next time, we’re talking about Hell!
Thanks for your generous support, as always!

Mara, the Succubus Detective
Tumblr media
More details about this character below!
Mara is a succubus demon who, like most of her kind, was born in the Lust Ring at a brothel. Raised among the other brothel workers, she experienced a tumultuous upbringing marked by the tragic death of her mother, killed by a jealous former client. Despite this harsh environment, Mara found solace and inspiration in her twin sister, who, although sharing the typical interests of a succubus, was one of the kindest hellborn demons Mara ever knew. Unfortunately, her sister passed away before reaching adulthood, a loss that deeply affected Mara and fueled her future ambitions.
As a child, Mara's life changed when she stumbled upon a detective mystery book. Captivated by the stories of uncovering secrets and solving mysteries, she developed a passion for detective work. Her bright and inquisitive nature allowed her to absorb information quickly, and her willingness to engage with others helped her develop a charismatic personality. Over time, Mara honed her skills, becoming adept at negotiating and reading people, which would prove invaluable in her future career.
Mara eventually set up her detective agency in the Pride Ring, initially drawn by the cheaper rent. However, she soon discovered a demand for her services among formerly human clients. With the aid of an Asmodean crystal, which she acquired through hard work and determination, Mara gained the ability to travel to the human world, expanding her clientele to include both humans and demons. She accepts payment primarily in information, though she also takes money to sustain herself and her agency.
Like most succubi, Mara possesses the ability to steal life energy. Unlike others who use this ability to profit, Mara employs it for personal research and life extension. She makes honest deals with humans, clearly explaining the exchange and never pressuring them. This life energy not only extends her life but also provides an escape from mortal danger.
Mara’s upbringing in a brothel sharpened her ability to detect lies and notice minute details, making her almost appear to have a "mind reading" ability to those who are easy to read. She finds people who are difficult to decipher particularly fascinating and relishes the challenge they present.
Mara has built a vast network of connections in and out of Hell, recognizing the value of powerful allies without seeking power herself. She leverages these connections to assist in her investigations, though she has few true friends and many who would rather see her dead.
Despite her succubus nature, Mara is asexual and uninterested in intimate work. She later discovers she is demiromantic, although any romantic feelings she develops ultimately take a back seat to her professional goals. She appreciates genuine compliments about her dedication and skill but avoids using her succubus charm unless absolutely necessary, as she finds it distasteful.
Beyond her detective work, Mara harbors a significant goal: uncovering why hellborn demons are barred from entering Heaven after death. Driven by a sense of justice and a desire to "avenge" her sister, she seeks to negotiate a change that would allow good hellborn to enter Heaven, similar to virtuous humans. Even if she never achieves this goal, her obsession with understanding the rules of Hell and Heaven drives her relentless pursuit of information.
Mara is slightly shorter than the average succubus but taller than most imps, with a slender, less curvaceous figure. She typically wears a baggy trench coat, embodying the detective aesthetic she admires. Her short hair is adorned with black feathers to add volume and a unique touch to her appearance.
Mara’s strong sense of determination and resilience means she never lets hardships deter her. She is willing to sacrifice herself for her ultimate goal, believing that all souls, including her sister's, can theoretically be retrieved and sent to Heaven. Mara adheres to a personal code of ethics, striving to be honest and fair despite the morally bankrupt environment of Hell. This commitment to her values sets her apart from other demons, often making her seem like an anomaly.
Though Mara is always working, she enjoys engaging in intellectual conversations that challenge her thinking. She particularly enjoys deciphering riddles and puzzles, which serve as both a pastime and a way to sharpen her detective skills.
In Hell’s rigid hierarchy, Mara treats everyone with respect, regardless of their status. She does not look down on imps or hellhounds and values everyone’s potential contribution equally. This egalitarian approach often surprises those she interacts with and further distinguishes her from typical demons.
Thanks for reading! Like/reblog/comment if you want to encourage me to write shorts for Hazbin/Helluva including this character!

Hi, I had some Vivzie verse questions about lore and word buldings. :
Isnt me or having hell without punishment is weird? I mean, why hells exist if there is no punishment? WHAT IS THE POINT. You can't even say : I didn't know what I could use as punishment, since there is a book about hell and what happens to the peolpe that go there. Okay maybe you don't want to copy, but just take inspiration...?
Why all the sinners in pride, if you have nine circles? It dosent make sense that a greedy ceo or a killer, are going to pride. Send them to their ring. If you send them to their ring you can also use imps as their torturers.
Why there are prisons if Vivzie said there is no law? Then we have are laws..?
About lore
How come demons like Stolas are born as babies? Weren't they sent away from heaven? And also why, a demonic creature, is the same age in Blitzo
Thank you for reading
No it isn't you, the world building for Helluva makes no sense for Hell. The main purpose of Hell and it's rings are now gone and at this point, it just doesn't make sense for the show to take place in Hell anymore because all of it's recognizable features are gone.
Why are ancient being in this world so young when they had to exist for a centuries to get their roles in demonology and occults establish? Again, Viv hell's is just a red Earth 2.0 and it doesn't work because it keeps breaking it's own lore.
