#‘why do my parents keep chasing Phantom so much?’

A ghost that hunts ghosts? Score!
Jack and Maddie are obsessed with ghost hunting.
So when they found a ghost who seemed to have an Obsession with hunting other ghosts (because why else would a ghost fight its own kind?), they were ecstatic!
Their kids weren’t that interested in ghost hunting, but here’s someone who will definitely be able to relate with them and who could also help them with new avenues of research! Heck, he’s even using some of their tech already!
Now they just have to figure out how to file adoption papers for someone who isn’t legally alive…

saw a theory saying the phantom was just curious and I agree, so here’s my two cents.
The phantom was in the window before the car even pulled up the building. which means if it had any intentions on harming ash or her parents it had sooo much time to do so and ash’s parents would’ve been fully distracted. but it didn’t. it didn’t even get close enough for them to notice it until after ash was born.
Tumblr media
It gently reaches its hand out to ash. to do what? Idk. But in the past it onlt grabbed her. At the time, it makes sense that we (as well as the characters) thought it was to harm ash, but idk if that’s the case anymore. It didn’t try slashing her or exhibit any agressive behavior. It simple just wanted to touch her
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both in the past and present (savanna trip) the phantom smiles at ashlyn from afar. it never takes action until AFTER it’s presence is acknowledged by someone. It never tries to chase her, attack her, or outwardly harm her in any way. It kinda just exists near her and then attempts to reach out to her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only time either ash or her dad were harmed by the phantom in the real world is which they moved on impulse. the phantom slashed Ashlyn’s dad while trying to move away after being stabbed, and ash got scratched after snatching her arm away. when u rlly think about it, the phantom let ashlyn go the first time. we already know it’s wayyyy stronger than ashlyn physically (roof scene) and a simple yank of the arm wouldn’t be enough to get out of its grasp. so it had to have let her go / not been holding on tight, both of which indicate it didn’t have negative intentions
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this panel often gets overlooked, but ashlyn states “it usually stops by now” meaning phantoms have been following her all her life. although she’s creeped out by the phantom, her ability to keep calm implies she’s seen the phantoms before. if that’s the case, why didn’t they attack her any of those times? If they are trying to kill her, why are they waiting to do it?
Tumblr media
this only applies to the real world though. in the phantom dimension, it’s 50/50.
Tumblr media
the first ever phantom we see (ep 1) is agressive right off the bat. even after the kids disappeared, it stayed around and it’s agressive behavior continued when they came back. we didn’t she them attempt to attack it first, as it was already chasing them, so I believe it was just agressive to begin with. It tries to swipe at them before they disappeared and attempted to slash ashlyn when it found her under the seats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but the phantom that dragged ashlyn to the roof only tried to attack her when she stabbed it. I was looking back at the scene, and it smashing her head against the roof was an accident. It only pins her to the ground because she puts up a struggle. even though it had her pinned down, it didn’t raise its hand at her until she stabbed it. Also this phantom was the first to listen to her when she made a demand. It also immediately calmed down.
I talked about that scene in another post, so I won’t just repeat everything I said. but point is, I don’t think the phantoms want to harm ashlyn. but they want something from her instead. they can sense smth is different about her, and are trying to figure it out. in the first couple of chapters the phantoms personally target ashlyn. When Logan got scratched it’s because him and Aiden intervened with its plan. it was only trying to get to ashlyn. which is a lil suspicious. but as the other kids turn into phantoms, the phantoms are more aware of their existences and start to target them to (the one that rushed Tyler on the tree). but who rlly knows right?

"Who got you this time?" Jazz asked with a sigh, wrapping the gauze around Danny's bleeding shoulder, grimacing as green immediately saturated the white.
"Plasmius," Danny spat.
"...is it always like this?" Jazz muttered. Everything with Danny's dark future had just happened a week ago, and while she'd been welcomed into Team Phantom with open arms, she wondered how she missed so much.
"If it's too much, I can go to Tucker's," Danny said, beginning to pull from her grip. "I know you have more important things to do."
Jazz just held his elbow, keeping him sitting beside her, even as green ectoplasm dripped from other, minor injuries, staining the pink comforter on her bed. "You are my brother, there's nothing more important than your health."
Danny just grinned at her, eyeing the injury she had wrapped. It was a bad burn - had burnt through his suit, even - but he'd reassured her he'd had worse.
She had not been reassured.
"I'm fine, Jazz," Danny said, using his uninjured arm to pat her shoulder. "I'm a ghost. This is less than a papercut to me."
Jazz fought to keep her face neutral. Did he not understand how bad that was? That he was so used to being burnt and beaten that it didn't phase him anymore?
"If you say so," Jazz managed. Danny, oblivious as he was, relaxed at her 'acceptance' of his suffering. He'd never know the internal struggle she was having as she again had to remind herself why they couldn't tell their parents. They just didn't know how the elder Fentons would react, and it was a risk neither was willing to take.
"You know, you're not too bad," Danny grinned, playfully shoving her.
"I'm the best sister and you better never forget it," she said, waggling her finger in his face as he laughed.
If Danny had a response, it was interrupted by a wisp of blue and a sudden temperature drop. He sighed. "Gotta run."
"Wait," Jazz said, grabbing his hand.
"What?"
"I just…" Jazz trailed off.
She didn't know what to say. She didn't know how to beg him to stay, how to keep him from getting hurt, how to explain she was already so tired of blood staining her hands.
So she said none of it, and just pulled her brother's ghost into a tight hug. "I love you, Danny."
"I love you too, Jazz," he answered, wrapping his arms around her as well, surprising her with his lack of teenage male sass.
With a jolt, she realized Danny knew all the things she was leaving unsaid. These were fears he already had, he already lived with, he already had accepted as a facet of his life.
He knew he could die and he fought anyway.
"Be safe," she said as she pulled away, brushing his white bangs to the side and kissing his forehead, something she hadn't done since they were much younger and Danny was plagued by childhood nightmares and this was the only way she knew to keep the nightmares at bay.
"I always am," he answered, leaning against her for just a moment before pulling away.
"Now go kick some ghost ass," she said with a grin.
"Don't gotta tell me twice!"
And he was gone, intangible and out her window, leaving her alone with her thoughts.
Jazz pulled her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around herself.
She couldn't kiss away these nightmares, like she had in childhood. These nightmares walked and talked, these nightmares had guns and rage. These nightmares were ghosts, were hunters, were even their own parents.
As Jazz stared at the new green stains on her comforter, she felt her own protective instincts stir in her chest. Determination drove her out of bed and down the stairs, into the lab.
She moved fluidly through the lab, grabbing an ecto weapon and triggering the training range her mom had built and her dad never used. She looked down the sights to the first target and fired, her shot going too wide. No matter, practice makes perfect, after all, and she continued teaching herself.
Because while she couldn't kiss away these nightmares, she could still try to chase them.

So this is actually a DP x Miraculous prompt. It’d be a short one shot about Danny being mistaken as an akuma and having to fight off a both Ladybug and Chat Noir, with him somehow being able to defeat them while sleep deprived. What do you think?
Now this might have a lot of spelling mistakes, because I'm doing this on my phone, but here we go:
Danny was exhausted. There was no avoiding that fact. His parents had thought it would be a great idea to take a vacation to Paris for some 'family bonding' before Jazz went off to college. Privately, Danny was just waiting for the moment their parents would just inevitably run off and chase after some French ghost. He felt bad for thinking that, but he was just- ugh. He was just tired.
His parents had been serious about the family bonding. They were spending a week in the 'city of love' and his parents seemed set on using every single minute to their advantage. That meant going to one tourist attraction to another, and Danny would have thought he'd be able to keep up with it all, seeing all the ghost attacks he had to handle at any time of day or night. But that sadly wasn't the case.
Danny already hadn't inherited his parents' smarts, but apparently, he hadn't inherited their boundless energy either.
It didn't help that his ghost sense went off without warning. Did it ever go off with warning? Technically, the ghost sense itaelf was a warning, so did that- Ugh, Danny was getting distracted again. He should really go to bed soon.
But first, he needed to take care of the ghost. He transformed into Phantom, but tried to alter the most notable aspects of his features so that people wouldn't realize Phantom had come all the way to Paris for some reason. Hopefully his parents wouldn't connect the dots either. That was what he was worried about most.
He tried to follow after the ectoplasmic energy floating around, but no luck. He swore every alleyway looked exactly the same. Unless he waa going around in circles?
...He was going around in circles, wasn't he?
Danny sighed and shot up towards the sky, trying to get a better view of his prey. Where could the ghost have gone? He wished he could have gotten a good look at it...
He heard shouts behind him, and it took him a moment to realize it was French. His French skills weren't nearly as good as Sam's, but he was a hella lot better than his parents, so he often found himself trying to communicate with strangers for directions. But nine if that helped him now when his brain was in a permanent state of buffering.
He turned around to face them, squinting his blurry eyes as a... yo-yo? Flew right by his face. He dodged the flying projectile, and watched as it wrapped around a fireplace chimney. A stranger clad in red and black soon followed, kick aimed right for his chest that he easily batted away. He felt bad when the stranger yelped in alarm, but hey- If you don't want to fall, don't throw yourselfs at strangers? Danny had flight or fight too, and he was already in mid-air, so... Fight it was.
But fighting took so much energy. Danny sighed as a second black-clad figure called after the first, swiping at Danny with a silver staff. That was cool. Danny wondered where they'd gotten it.
Nonetheless, Danny swatted it away too, and pushed the black-clad figure back onto the roof. Where it was safe. Seriously, were they that into parkour? Why wete they attacking Danny this intensely anyways?
Danny shook his head. Whatever. He had a ghost to find.
---
Marinette was panicking. She had never seen an akuma like this before. Akumas usually had themes, wrapped up in the reason they'd been vulnerable to Hawkmoth in the first place. Or to go along with theor akumatized item. But there was no such thing for this akuma.
The only item she could spot was a thermos on their belt. Which was strange, but hardly the weirdest thing to be akumatized by. She had no idea what had happened to this victim either, they acted so... wildly? No, that wasn't right. They just had no path or direction.
She was surprised Hawkmoth hadn't tried to contact this akuma once yet. They handled her and Chat Noir with ease, swiping them away as if they were gnats. Marinette didn't even know what their gimmick was yet! But she grew more and more worried over what it could be. They clearly knew had to fight, to some degree. Was this going to be Darkblade or Anansi all over again? Chat Noir had always been the better fighter between the two of them, but even he had trouble with those...
She needed to de-evilize them before they caused any destruction.
She swung for the thermos, the only item she could think the akuma could be centered on, only for the akuma to swipe up suddenly and deflect her yo-yo. Chat Noir noticed her intentions, and tried to distract the akuma. But that did little good, because the akuma just flung Chat Noir over his shoulder and carried on. Marinette tried for the thermos once while they were distracted only for the akuma to wrap her string up around their arm and throw her through the air. She tumbled to a roll and laid there astounded for a few moments, watching as Chat Noir tried to aim a few strikes at the akuma. And the akuma either blocked it with a forearm or just... took the hit.
Marinette had never seen anything like it. Had Hawkmoth become more creative recently? If thos akuma had been at all interested in their Miraculous, they would have been totally defeated. Without trouble. They were just playthings to them.
Marinette was about to call for her Lucky Charm, when she saw the akuma pick Chat Noir up clean off his feet and then just... settle him back down out of the way?
"Huh?" She made a noise of confusion, both herself and Chat Noir watching from the sidelines as the akuma hovered over the ground towards... wherever he wanted to go.
This was one weird akuma.
---
Danny was tired. He had yet to find the ghost, and now he had no idea where his family were! This was so not his day.
And there were these two teengers in unusual clothing trying to steal his thermos? He knew Paris had thieves, but of all the things they had to aim for, it was the thing he couldn't afford to lose? So not his day.
Danny sighed as he stopped at the Eiffel Tower, looking around for his family. He'd left them around here, where could they have gone?
One of the teenagers that had been badgering him apprehensively approached him now. It was the one with cat ears.
He arched a brow at him. "What?"
The cat-ear wearing stranger blinked. "Oh, you're American." Strange, for a Frenchman he spoke with an English accent. "Uh, what are you doing? Why did you get akumatized?"
Danny frowned. "Akuma-what now?"

Disordered Priorities
More of an idea than a whole fic, but I hope someone who’s a better writer than me will pick this up and Take It Somewhere!
That post about having four different ship names for Danny and Valerie based on who they think each other are has been living in my head rent free, but I’ve literally never seen anyone write or draw anything about the Red Huntress liking/dating Danny Fenton. I think the idea is so far-fetched, but there’s so much potential!
It’s an average day in Amity Park and Skulker (or literally any other ghost) comes to pick a fight at Casper High. Danny and Valerie are in different classes. Val gets away to go fight Skulker, but Danny doesn’t. Maybe the teacher won’t let him leave, maybe he’s in the middle of getting bullied, whatever. Skulker really only comes around to pick fights with Danny, so it ends up that Red’s on Skulker’s tail when he gets to Danny Fenton. Skulker declares that “Finally I’ll have your pelt on my wall Whelp!”
Red panics because “Oh No! Goofy, Nerdy, Sweet, Terrified-Of-Ghosts Danny Fenton is being targeted by an Evil Ghost!” She doesn’t really question why a ghost is after Danny. I mean his parents are ghost hunters that don’t even try to hide their identity. But even still, there isn’t really time to think! Red’s first and only idea is to grab Danny and take off on the jet sled to get him to safety. Once Danny’s safe, then she can go after Skulker.
Danny officially has no excuse to try and go ghost, so he’s stuck letting Valarie protect him until he can find two minutes of privacy. Skulker chases after them, Red can’t find anywhere to leave Danny safely. She’s trying to fight Skulker while also keeping Danny safe, and Danny can’t convince her that she should let him run off and find his parents or something. Skulker realizes that he’s not going to get Phantom to come out to fight, so he backs off.
Red insists on playing babysitter until Skulker comes back. “That ghost is dangerous, and it’s going to come back! I need to be here when it does!”
It’s important to note that Danny knows Val is the Red Huntress, Val doesn’t know Danny is Phantom, and Val doesn’t know that Danny knows who she is. Danny wants to keep his secret, and keep Val thinking her secret is safe. Val wants to keep her Ex-Boyfriend-That-She-Still-Kinda-Likes safe from the ghost that has already given her problems in the past.
While Danny and Red hole up somewhere, both of them start to remember how nice it was when they were dating. Valerie only broke up with Danny because she didn’t want him to get hurt, but from the looks of it he can handle a little ghost trouble. His parents are ghost hunters, so maybe Red can help him learn to hold his own. She can come clean about her identity when she knows he’ll be okay with possibly having to hold his own against a ghost from time to time. All she ever wanted was for him to be safe. Maybe Danny can forgive her for their past breakup once she can explain the full story. It’s understandable right?
Danny’s a little miffed that Skulker got away, but ultimately knows he can’t do anything about it without giving something away. He decides there’s no reason to stress, since Skulker usually only wants to cause trouble for him specifically. Amity Park is probably fine for now. And besides, at least now he gets to spend a little time with Val without Sam lecturing him about Flirting with Disaster. (Get it? ;3 ) Maybe if he can convince Valerie that Danny Fenton can handle a ghost every once in a while, they can pick up where she broke it off. Maybe if they can get back to where they were, all the secrets could come out eventually. She wouldn’t hate Phantom so much if Fenton could finally set the record straight and explain the full story. It’s understandable, right?

So, you saw your ending... Cool! Did you blink?
Danny Phantom x The Magnus Archives Crossover
Chapter 1
"Story of Daniel James Fenton" Allison wrote at the top of the page. The typewriter drummed in the near silence, the boy in the chair across from her gulped.
"You aren't with any institutions right? I don't want—"
"No." She assured, "I'm a StoryKeeper, not the Archivist."
"Okaaaay, I just want to make sure that—"
"No Hunters." She said, typing the line under the title. His eyes widened in confusion, then understanding, but he didn't ask.
"My parents are Hunters," He told her, whether by choice or because the compulsion had begun, it didn't matter. This StoryKeeper typed along. "Not great ones, but I think that's because of the prey, not because they're bad at hunting...
"They like ghosts, War-ghosts mostly, but they're not picky about it. As long as it's not completely tangible and used to be a living person it's good enough for them. The problem is that you can't really make a ghost feel fear, or, uh, a Hunter can't... not normally... but I'm getting ahead of myself.
"They never really gave themselves to it, to the Thing that Wants the Chase. So for a long time my sister and I just thought they were crazy. Then, when I was fourteen, they built this thing. They called it a portal, but it was really just this big electrical hazard tunnel in the basement. And I of course, waited until they'd left it alone and went to check it out..." He paused for a moment, pain suddenly lacing his face.
"I'm not telling you more about that." He snapped. Then spead through the next few words so this StoryKeeper had to focus on typing instead of the compulsion. "Not the details. I will tell you, it killed me, and I wasn't ready. So when there was a choice, I took it.
"My friends were there, they managed to revive me just before the ambulance got there..."
He hesitated again, fighting to keep the story in the direction he wanted it to go, she let him even if she wished he'd tell both tales.
"My parents blamed the ghosts. And that's how it really started. They started hunting a lot more, and war ghosts don't really run away much. They don't fear being hunted, but they do fear ending. So mom and dad do the same old same old, ghosts get scared of me, they give chase, the world has one less mindless killer and fast food is more satisfying on the way home. All fun and games, right? Well it has been, but ghosts stopped have being enough for either of us... they want to go find other monsters and they don't realize that I'm not the same thing as they are. These things already have bargains that I'm not supposed to interfere with... that I can't interfere with. And not all of them... not all of us are trying to be evil...
"They're supposed to be having these friends come over, to show us the ropes or something. I have this feeling that they're going to take one look at me and Know. So uh, that's why I'm here. I thought, maybe if The Thing that Sees has already seen me, that maybe it will let me be..."
He laughed suddenly. "But it's not like it matters is it. What's the worse that could happen? I die? Again?"

Yes, I did post this twice, I'm trying a little experiment. See, earlier I just posted the Ao3 link, and it has gotten very little traction... I think it's cause it was just a link and no hook. So I'm posting the first chapter and we'll see if that does better. Or it yall just prefer other crossovers. I'm curious!

All right, let’s do it that one seems very sweet. I am pretty excited to do this one!
As usual, thank you for the request it just makes me so happy and filled with joy to see that people like my content as it takes a while to make and I have to make it as quickly as possible so I still have time to do other activities! But I also can’t rush it because otherwise, it won’t be good so it takes a lot of effort and I am happy that people enjoy it just as much as I do
Full credit to la-squadra1234
Feitan- when he finds the poem at first, he is a little confused, but then when he continues reading, he honestly finds it, heartwarming and sweet, but then he remembers that he is a heartless, sadistic murderer but then again, his kid wrote him a whole poem literally just for him! Like how many kids do that for their parents he honestly felt so special in that moment<333
Phinks-(wait because why is this, reminding me of the time when he was reading the note that kurapika left for the phantom troupe) he would read it, and a small smile would appear on his face and when his kid walked back into their room. Their face was instantly red and they ran out of the room out of embarrassment, but he would chase after his kid and obviously he would catch up with no struggle at all, and he would tell his kid that it was very sweet of them to write a poem about him specifically and he would also complement his kids writing and tell them to keep writing like this and maybe one day they could become a author or something like that (but like we all know that his kid would be staring at him like bitch please an author seriously??? like he is literally in the phantom troupe BFFR)
Nobunaga-he would definitely be caught off guard when he is reading this poem, but it would instantly change his moved into a happy one! He wouldn’t reveal to his kid that he found the poem just to spare his kid the embarrassment, but you bet your ass he’s taking his kid out for ice cream! (did he kill the ice cream man honestly properly not he was in that good of a mood )
Chrollo-not only would he be super happy about the poem, but he would also be super happy about his kids, grammar and how his kids handwriting is perfect. He would be sure to walk up to his kid and compliment, his hand writing along with his grammar of course his kid would be embarrassed, but he doesn’t care if he wants to complement his kid you bet your ass. He will complement his kid and he will be proud about it as he should
hisoka-honestly I can’t think of anything for him because what would his kid be proud of him about? He is a very laid-back parent I guess if anything he would find a poem about his kid being happy that he doesn’t have his dad always on his back like other kids do or something like that of course if he found a poem like that, he would be pretty happy and he would feel like he is a good parent, and that he did the right thing (y’all we’re not gonna tell him that he’s doing the wrong thing. OK we need to let him have his moment. )
Illumi-I could see him finding a note in his child’s room of his child saying something like I am very fond of my dad. He is a very strong assassin, and he is teaching me to be just like him and I am just super inspired by him and I have been working super hard to impress him. I hope he is happy with how far I have come never mind that I just hope he even notices! He would feel a Rush of emotions he would feel happy, but a bit sad that his kid is unsure if he even notices their progress but then again, he would be happy of the fact that his kid would put in so much effort to make a poem that he didn’t even plan for him to see
Silva-the poem would definitely say something like I am super happy that I have a bunch of very strong siblings things to my dad and I am super happy that my dad is strong and proud of me and he defends me (Ngl that would be so damn cute) even though assassins aren’t supposed to have emotions and he has knocked that into his kid. He has clearly seen that his kid is a bit rebellious just like. Killua I mean he is breaking that no emotion rule, but then again. Silva is as well because he is very happy and thankful that his kid is fond of him.
And that is it for right now everybody I hope everybody that is reading this enjoyed! I am trying my best to work as fast as I can, but also not make it shitty. I’ve explained something like that. In my last post. Go read it if you haven’t already it’s great trust me!!!
That is really all I have to say for right now!
Have a good night everybody bye now <3

Holiday Truce
This year I was @tidehopper gifter
I liked your prompts and I put together the Cujo and the Vlad showed up in dinner. I hope you will like it.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/43867041
A black and white blurred figure flew in the night sky at Amity Park.
—I can't believe you Cujo! This is a the seventh times in this week to came to the real world, and it's still Tuesday. What could I do with you?-Phantom rolled his eyes.
—Woof Woof! -answered the miniature dog.
—Hey Phantom!- his dad shouted after him. —Can I help you?
—Oh hi Jack! What are you doing outside this time of the day? It is almost midnight.
—You know I always loved the filed trips. And now that we have a truce we can finally work together!
—Sure. But I actually finished for today. Although...
He flew closer to the ground, and stopped in front of the other Hunter.
—I know you don't keep animals. But I think Cujo would be a nice exception. He is a ghost, so he just need some ectoplasm to live peacefully. I would be grateful if I don't need to chase after him every day.
—So do you want me to watch out for your dog?
—Argh... Why do everybody believe that he is my dog?!
—Isn't he yours?
—No, he isn't. So would you like to know him better?
Jack nodded.
Phantom handed Cujo over to his dad.
The ghost licked the man face.
—Be good! -the ghost boy smiled and left alone them.
Danny lied down to his bed as he would be a sack of flour. He immediately felt asleep.
He woke up for somebody licking his face.
—Stooop. I am still not awake -he rubbed his eyes, then he noticed the ghost dog. —I have never thought in my dreams, that you will be the one who wakes me up.
—Woof!- he was wagging his tail.
—Could you go out until I dress up?
—Yip...-whimpered.
—Okay. Okay... At the least stay beside my bed.
Danny finished the morning rutin quickly. Then he went downstairs. Cujo followed him.
—I see you two already like each other -his father said.
—He is very sweet if you know him. I mean Phantom intruduced him to me.
Daniel took his cereal, and started to eat at the kitchen table.
Cujo hopped onto his lap and spilled the milk everywhere.
—Cujo! Bad dog! -Danny put up and put him to the ground. —Stay there- the boy sighed and looked at the clock on the wall. —OMG I will be late- he picked up a toast which had been made by his father. —See ya!
—Bye Danny!
The boy had the luck with the ghost shield on around the Fenton Works.
He had an ordinary school day.
—Danny we should start our History project- Valarie started —Who knows when I will have enough free time again.
—You are right Valarie. Do you want to come over? I think I have never introduced you properly to my parents.
—Maybe because everybody know your parents.
—That is true, but they don't know about you. And I have some books for the project.
—Well I am in.
—Yes! We should order food too. Because I don't want to poison you.
—It takes more than a little ectoplasm. I think most of the population of Amity Park resistant against it.
—Believe me, when I say it isn't a little bit. Last time a ham attacked us.
They reached the Fenton Works very soon. Danny opened the front door just to face with the huge Cujo.
The boy stood as a surprised Pikachu, frozen. Somehow he forgot about him.
Valerei raised her hand with a gun.
—What are this monster doing here?!
—Err... -Danny shook his head. —Phantom left him to us to avoid your kind of problems. It just completely came out of my mind. Cujo be small!
The animal shrinked to a size of a puppy and jumped into Danny's arm.
—He doesn't bite.
—So that means Phantom left his dog to your family.
—He had never been Phantom's dog.
—Woof!-Cujo agreed.
—Do you promise that he won't cause any more difficultness?
—Until the shield is on, Amity is safe from him.
They heard tramples. Cujo jumped down. Danny's mom was that.
—Come inside.
—Alright- the youths agreed.
—Mom I don't know if you have ever met Valerie in the proper way yet.
—You are the Red Huntress. Danny told about you so much. Thank you for your help.
Now it was Valerie, who froze.
—How do you know?
—You have her gun in your hand. And the heigh is the same. Also you just given away yourself.
Danny made a facepalm. As a secret identity would be this easy to tell.
—I should be more careful...
—Do you wanna see our newest arsenal?
—Technically I came to learn with Danny...
—No worries, I will get the books until you get the tour. Be careful.
—It would be fun. Finally somebody who can appreciate our work. My children hate ghost hunting.
Danny just rolled his eyes.
—Ten minute and I will join-he went forwards.
—Can I ask what was the reason to start hunting?
—This little monster -Valarie pointed to Cujo.
—Woof!-the dog stepped onto the girl's leg.
—Leave me alone!-she swung his weapon.
Cujo became a big and growled at her.
—There is no need to attack. Please put your gun down.
She listened to Maddie, and in that moment the dog transformed into a puppy again.
—Long story for short. My dad worked for the axion lab as security. But he wasn't ready for ghost attacks, and this beast ruined his work. We lost everything. I started to work at the Nasty Burger. And one day I got a packet from Vlad Masters and there was a suit. That is how I started hunting. But I don't really care about the engineering.
—But you need to know how to works to use it safely.
—Not really. Since Technus boosted my suit, every piece is like a second skin to me.
—Hmmm... I am curios how high is your ectocontamination. We should check it up in the lab.
— Won't it hurt?
—It isn't dangerous to humans.
—I am not convinced. In regard of everybody in Amity have a higher level, than an average human has.
—That is true.
When they arrived to the lab, Valarie's bracelet started to beeping.
—I gotta go. Tell Danny, I am sorry.
—What is that?-Maddie asked.
—It is a ghost detector.
—Interesting ours haven't shown anything.
—Maybe because it is off? Let me see it. Hi Mr. Fenton!- she greeted the man, who was tinkering something.
—Hi! Maddie give me the torch!
—Right away sugar cube!
The barcalet became quiet.
—It seams like Phantom finished already.
As a soon as she said out loud, the ghost boy showed up.
—Hi Val! What's up Mr. and Mrs. Fenton?
—I am working on the Fenton ghost detector. I don't want to register Cujo as a treat.
—Cool! I caught some ectopus- he stepped beside the portal and flushed the thermos's content. —Have a nice day -Phantom waved then flew up.
—So... Where is the ectocontamination measuring device?
—At the back off the room. Come with me.
The walked beside computers, huge weapons, tubes with colorful substances, weird household utensils.
—There are lots of weird thing.
—It happens when you are an inventor. Oh I found it.
The device looked like a modern thermometer.
Maddie raised up the tool into Valarie's forehead, but before she could start the process Danny appeared and push away her hand.
—Sorry Mom, but you had said if the identity reach rate three in the danger scale the gun part is activating. And It would be a bad idea to use it on Val, before you uninstall that function.
—Ups. You are right. We could check it latter. I am going to repair it. Have fun kids -Maddie left them.
—The last time when she wanted to use it, Jazz was the one who saved me. I shouldn't left you with them.
—I knew the danger of this place...
Danny lowered his voice. He didn't want to his father hear it.
—I ordered Pizza. I know what is your favorite. It is already in the kitchen.
—Then what are we waiting for? I haven't eaten since morning, because of the Lunch Lady.
—Yeah I know.
They went upstairs. Just to find Cujo eating one of the Pizza from the box.
—Bad dog! Why do you want to eat my food? It isn't for you! -He picked up the dog and put down on the floor.
But Cujo didn't listen to him and flew up to the table.
—You don't want the thermos, do you?
Cujo looked at Danny and continued to eat.
—Argh... At the least Val yours is safe- he held out the clear box.
The girl wasn't as soft-hearted as the boy, and she put the dog onto her own thermos.
—You are very thin already. I don't want to you to starve.
—I am not starving. But thanks.
—So where are we should start the project?
—Hmmm... Well we have to stay in the middle ages. And we had got Japan for the project. I don't know. Maybe the Shintoism? I mean our books are highlighting the religions.
—I always loved the Samurais. They are very strong and brave warriors, who are commitment for a case and doesn't stop until they reached it.
—Just like you Red -Danny said moonily.
—It is weird to hear from your mouth. Phantom the only one who call me Red.
—It slipped out my mouth...- he scratched his head.
Valarie leant close to Danny's face.
—You are sus.
—Me why? I didn't do anything!
—And now you are panicking -she rolled her eyes.
—I am not!
Valarie give Danny a peck.
—What a nice couple- Vlad stepped inside the kitchen.
—Vlad what are you doing here?
—This day is the anniversary of the ghost hunting club, and Maddie invited me.
—I didn't know what is missing.
The girl grasped the boy's hand.
—Danny, can we continue this conversation upstairs?
—All right! Vlad I don't want to hear anything about you.
—You won't.
Valarie suddenly opened her thermos.
—Ups my hand is a bit slippy.
Cujo showed up.
—Please pay attention to Vlad- Danny asked from the dog.
—We are playing open cards, Daniel? You are not afraid that our little secret accidentally came into light?
—Vlad Masters. I know your secret. And I think the Fentons would listen to me if I reveal that their "friend" truly a ghost!
—Ghost?! Where?- Jack's voice came from the basement.
—As you have a chance against me, mademoiselle. I know where you live.
—She have my protection. As well Cujo's -Danny showed the scary eyes.—So behave, or leave.
—Hmmm... I see I am not welcomed here. Maybe next time- he disappeared in his pink fog.
—That wasn't a wise move.
—Then it is true - Valerie looked at Danny's eye.
—I didn't want to know this- he looked away. —Plasmius and I have an agreement. Because the knowledge about halfas put in a great risk. The government, the ghost zone. I have too many enemies.
—But you knew my secret all along. It isn't fair.
—My life never was. Sorry to rope into this mess.
—Yowl... Yowl...
—Cujo regrets too.
—Those puppy eyes. I can't believe he is able to do that. We are not friends yet.
—Yowl...
—Sign... So I guess the goth girl and the geek guy, know about this.
—Yes, they are. And my sister Jazz.
—You need to tell your parents too.
—I am not ready.
—Have you ever told somebody?
—No. Everybody figured out themselves.
—Then understandable. Maybe some clue would help and your mother will figure out.
—Nope. Their equipment targeting me since I became a ghost. And they couldn't put the pieces together.
—Before we start to studying let's to collate our timetable, which time is available for us patrolling the city.
—You are a genius!- Danny give a pick onto Val's cheek. —This way we both have enough time to sleep.
—That's the plan.
Jack came up.
—As if I heard Vlad in a moment ago.
—Actually he was here. Just got a call for an urgent conference.
—That is sad. We would have celebrating. Anyway, the ghost detector is finished.
—You are great Dad!
—I check on your mother how the ectomeasuring works.
—Okay.
—So the timetable...
—Oh yes... I almost forgot about it...

@mythvoiced sent in: " all of my wildest dreams, they just end up with you and me " - from Ambrosius >:3 (aLSO YOUR URL how!!!!! YOU'RE!!! SO GOOD AT URLS--!!!!!!!!!!!!) || lyric starters meme
Hasn’t that always been the case?
Ballister is no stranger to living life on the edge. Even before their death, all it took was one accident, one mistake to tank the savings his parents spent months building up. Their community was not much better either. Funds saved up to improve infrastructure, the community center, the mosque could disappear without any warning.
And then one accident, one accident was all it took to take his parents and then his home.
And still, he dreamed, dreamed of standing at the side of the Kingdom as a hero of the realm.
Even when the queen inducted him as a squire, he could never find better footing. He knew; one mistake, that’s all he needed if he wanted to be put back in the streets. And yet that dream, his dream never strayed far. Stayed so close to him every time he reached for it, he could feel it, like silk, between his fingers before it to slipped away.
He thought being with Ambrosius would have been like that too. At first, it was a pipe dream- being friends with the descendent of Gloreth, herself? Impossible. Ambrosius falling in love with him? Gloreth’s descendent wouldn't do that. Dating and building a life with Ambrosius? A life that both Ambrosius and the Kingdom would approve of?
Only a fool would dream to do so.
And yet.
And yet, it had all been in Ballister’s hand, once upon a time. So close, sometimes Ballister’s phantom arm twitches at the thought of it. Silk, golden white like Ambrosius’ hair resting between his fingers. Sometimes Ballister doesn’t dare to move his arm in those moments because what if it still was all possible? Maybe if he’s careful enough, this time, it won’t slip away-
He’s only deluding himself. The world isn’t meant to be draped in sheets of white silk and Ballister doesn’t believe it’s all gray or varying shades of black either. It doesn’t have to be- Nimona taught him that- that splash of PINK on an otherwise pristine canvas.
Why should he have to keep chasing a future, a dream that keeps running away when he catches up?
He won’t do it anymore. He can’t, even if it’s Ambrosius who beckons him to come back. He won't trade a clad of black armor sprinkled with specks of pink for the pristine white and gold banner one he longed to wave once upon a time.
The day Ballister left the Kingdom, three years ago, he set aside that dream. Broke it in two alongside the life he once shared with Ambrosius. No more. No more.
( Even if he cried, staring at the remains of them. What they were. What they would have been. )
Now there’s only them, surrounded by the ruckus. And Nimona, in the back, picking off Ambrosius’ backup with generous strokes of her claws.
“Don’t say that, Ambrosius. You- you of all people don’t get to say that to me,” Ballister says, finally. The sword held by his mechanical arm feels heavy as he points it at his beloved enemy. “Don’t make this any harder than it has to be.”

FOR LUCY MY BELOVED...
9. when in their life were they most scared?
10. what inspired this character’s creation?
11. if they have a pet or animal companion, how do they spend time with them? if they don’t have one, what sort of animal would they be interested in raising, if any?
12. how have they altered their body? piercings, tattoos, biohacks, or other modifications—anything. why (or why not) did they (or someone else) make those changes?
13. what are some motifs you associate with them? did you intentionally bring in those motifs, or did it happen over time?
Gods you've picked some amazing questions actually, I'm going to enjoy answering these which unfortunately means they're going to be long answers👁️👁️
9. when in their life were they most scared?
Probably during his childhood and teen years, being born to nobles with extremely high standards there was a lot of pressure on him to be a certain person and excel in his studies, his parents wanted a trophy, not a son.
Because of this he was not permitted to play or have friends, his entire day, for many years consisted only of studying and practicing magic. He never meet other people his age outside of classes, and even in classes couldn't make friends due to the lack of social skills he never managed to develop.
We visited his large city manor a while back and few people were allowed into his childhood bedroom, but a fun detail I created that I liked was that when powerful magic users feel strong emotions again and again in the same spot over and over continuously for a long time, it leaves a "psychic imprint" which is a lingering memory of that emotion, which is to say that others who enter the area even years later are overcome with the same feeling, and Lucy's bedroom had a very strong feeling of crushing melancholy and loneliness that overwhelms anybody who enters, esentially making it cursed with an aura of depression.
10. what inspired this character’s creation?
I have been known to really enjoy playing the faces of parties, and also pretty much exclusively full casters, so Sorcerer, Bard, Warlock, that kind of thing, and I was basically challenged by my friends to deviate and play something a little different.
Also I got beat to the chase for Party Face so it was already taken. I knew I still wanted to play a caster, so I took my pick from Wizard, Cleric and Druid, and we did not appear to have a very INT heavy team, and I do love bringing utility, so I selected Wizard.
I also really enjoy frequently having the answer or solving problems as they come up, and many problems in DND are a matter of knowing or finding things, which Divination magic excels at.
11. if they have a pet or animal companion, how do they spend time with them? if they don’t have one, what sort of animal would they be interested in raising, if any?
Lucy has 2 familiars actually, the spirits of former pets that his parents had killed to punish him for misbehaving, he bound their spirits so he could bring them back because they were the only friends he had. A barn owl called Merlin and a black cat called Minerva.
He tries to keep them out of the way most times to prevent them from getting harmed but will occasionally use them to scout when things are dangerous, but will reward them with treats when they come back. Also sometimes he reshapes one of them into his Phantom Steed when he needs a mount.
12. how have they altered their body? piercings, tattoos, biohacks, or other modifications—anything. why (or why not) did they (or someone else) make those changes?
Beyond the augmented full left arm prosthetic he has, he has a number of bodily piercings, ears are obvious, but he also secretly has some nipple bars he got during a pre-campaign fling with our Paladin's brother during the time in his life he had escaped his parents and was learning how to be a person.
Beyond that, he's also an excellent alchemist, and through hubris and talent alone has to varying degrees of success bioalchemically altered his body. He once got himself stuck as a cat for a couple days before anybody noticed and managed to figure out what happened to him.
As a result of being in animal form for so long with an unstable and experimental concoction, many animal behaviour and instinct patterns remain in his psyche, which is to say he's a catboy. He curls up when he sleeps, his snoring sounds like gentle purring, he likes having his ears scratched, he likes to knock shit over for no reason, etc.
what are some motifs you associate with them? did you intentionally bring in those motifs, or did it happen over time?
In line with him being a Divination WIzard, and also having 27 passive perception, eyes are the central motif of his character, he is incredibly curious and will stop at nearly nothing to make any discovery he can, injuring himself if need be to find and solve mysteries.
Beyond that, in the same theme of eyes, sight and seeing, Lanterns and Candles are also especially relevant, representing the light required for vision, and through vision, discovery, and through discovery, knowledge, to be possible. As well as representing and the academic endeavour of discovery and learning itself. A blind eye sees nothing, and sight requires light, to see is to know, and the darkness represents blindness and through blindness, ignorance.

@gilbirda Ok, so you made a snippet of on of your AUs a while back (braindead rejected! soulmate i think) and I haven't been able to think of much else since. So my brain made a little thingy for you!
------------
1. Tim takes a risk one day by writing back to whoever was doodling on his body, with a glittery purple gel pen, asking them to stop trying to contacting him.
All the person asked was, "Why?"
Tim never answers.
2. Danny faces constant rejection from his peers, authority figures, his parents and sister neglect him and now his own soulmate doesn't want him. They hadn't even met before he was rejected. Jazz finds out about Dannys powers and tries to reach out but Danny rejects her pretty violently due to his own pain. Then the episode where Sam and Tucker ditch him for Gregor happens and he gives up.
The two people in his life that has had pretty much complete control over his life and trajectory just abandoned him and he does not take it well. He ripped the symbol off his chest, disappeared and never came back.
3. Danny zooms into a new dimension/universe/whatever to avoid his former friends and family from being able to track him only to land in a place called Central City and immediately getting roped into helping Captain Cold who gives him a normal domino mask and they end up working together for a while.
4. Danny somehow overhears one of the speedster talking on the phone about his friends brothers soulmate issue at some point and they perfectly describe the interaction that happened between Danny and his soulmate all those years ago, down to the glittery purple gel pen and the types of doodles Danny had made as a kid and the things he said.
Danny learned one of his soulmates belonged to a group of detective vigilantes in a place called Gotham. Unfortunately he was spotted by the speedster and Danny had to bounce.
5. The Flash made reports to the Justice League about a meta teen who hes been having trouble with for a while and can't seem to pin down. He only asked for tips though as he "could handle it himself."
6. Danny leaves for Gotham and learned about Catwoman and Batmans weird Master Thief and Greatest Detective dynamic and decided that's what he wants to do. He was going to make his soulmate chase after him one way or another. Someone was going to want him even if they were wanting him behind bars.
He begins robbing bank vaults and museums, leaving no trace or clue as to what happened until he starts leaving a calling card of sorts.
7. Jason, who's been on the outs with his family lately meets this spunky white haired meta kid running around with a sci-fi mask/visor thing and giving supplies to homeless encampments and keeping the less fortunate alive and befriends him. He learns that this is the guy everyone has been searching for and just...tells no one. Jason is all for a Robin Hood vigilante, and really, its kinda funny to see his family squirm.
8. Phantom and Catwoman rob the same museum at the same time but for different things. They stare at eachother from where they're both still crouched from thier respective landings until Danny breaks the tension with "I didn't see you if you didn't see me?"
Catwoman laughs, amused. "Sure."
9. Danny finally narrowed down which of the batfam is his soulmate and introduced himself to them as Phantom.
The first thing Danny did was hit on Tim. Tim is flustered but otherwise doesn't really respond to it and tries to fight Phantom into submission, so of course Danny ghosts him by disappearing through a roof mid fight. Danny made a big show of his intangibility in that fight and made it seem like it was the only power he had but he was very skilled with it and he wanted to impress him.
10. Phantom becomes well known to the underbelly of Gotham. Mostly the homeless and nightworkers. But Danny was open and friendly. Never judging and always ready to lend a helping hand. Even better. He never came to collect on favors.
Over time, they became loyal to him.
11. Danny gets framed for a series of murders and the whole gang (minus Hood) are trying to capture him, thus, motorcycle chase scene. They use the white of his tires to tell when he's gone intangible due to all the dirt falling off the wheels. Nightwing jumps onto the bike and shocks Danny with his encrizma sticks right before Danny grits out "bye bye birdy~" and makes a big show of taking in a deep breath and holding it.
Nightwing is forced to jump off the bike as Danny runs through the concrete abutment of the overpass and coming out the other side
12. Danny meets Tim and Duke in his civilian form while he was at a Wayne tech conference. Danny had been asked about one of his inventions and was trying to show off the blueprints and explain things and thats why he was there in the first place. Duke of course, was internally screaming because that's the guy thats the guy they've been hunting for nearly a year but can find nothing on.
Red Robin confronts Phantom that night on a rooftop and Phantom laughs at him, "Thats why I was avoiding Signal for so long. He'd see my magical girl form and know instantly."
RR holds out a pair of handcuffs and says "Its over Danny." Phantom smirks and says, "I don't think it is, Tim" before jumping off onto a different roof and disappearing into the night. Tim is shook.
13. Danny over hears Robin berating RR at an old clocktower and intervenes, "Little Wayne, you do realize you were the first person I figured out, right?"
Damian proceeds to lose his mind.
14. Tim accidentally finds a material that Phantom can't phase through and quickly gets to work making things he can use against Danny. What he doesn't know is that Danny can phase through it he just pretended he couldn't because he wanted to see what would happen/what Tim would do.
Danny can sense the material and it feels really wierd to him, but doesn't harm him at all.
15. RR manages to knock Phantoms visor off his face and realizing it was made of tech he swipes it and brings it back to the cave for study.
He wasn't ready for all the information on the computer. Not only was his nemesis(?) from another plain of reality (he thinks Danny is from the ghost zone) but he was once a superhero with his own Rogues Gallery and human city to protect. Which begs the question, why did he become a Phantom thief?
16. The Joker hears about Phantom giving the bats the run around and comes to a misunderstanding about which bat he's been messing with which ultimately ends with Joker saying that he is Batmans ultimate nemesis and Phantom asking what that had to do with him? The misunderstanding is cleared up when Phantom complained about Joker even thinking that he was flirting with Batman because "Ew! He's an old man!"
Joker still got a few shots in for the heck of it but so did our ghost boy but they were no longer enemies.
17. The whole batfam had been freaking out about finally capturing Phantom and celebrating and plotting on how they were gonna get him to keep his mouth shut about thier identities until Jason came in,
Jason: Need help?
Phantom: Please?
Jason: *escapes with Danny*
Batfam: What?! No!!! Why?!
18. The batfam have only a vague idea of the Robin Hood thing going on. They know he's doing it just not to the extent its gone to. They find out later on that Phantom had been working with RH and his gang to sell off the items and most of the profits go to helping people. Other times he strait up gives jewelry and whatnot to children and working girls because "Everyone deserves something pretty, and even if its not your style you can keep it for a rainy day"
Phantom quickly gains a following and Danny doesn't even know about it. Clueless indeed.
19. Dannys main motivation in this is essentially just playing Cops and Robbers with Red Robin. Nothing else really matters to him. Not the robberies, not the fact he's working with a crime lord, not even his own safety matters much to him anymore. Hes readily zooming down the path of self destruction and Hood starts telling his family stuff, but only because he was genuinely worried about "Casper" crashing and burning.
20. No one knows why Phantom is fixated on Red Robin. He refuses to tell them. Red thinks its just because he's the smartest of the bats and he's not entirely wrong.
21. Danny legit started scheduling his heists with Tim to ensure they're both free after one couldn't make it too many times which blew the birds mind. Phantom must have been just that confident that he would always win. The bats eventually think Danny will stop stealing if RR isn't in the city for a long period of time. Danny more or less followed him and stole stuff from whatever city Tim was in. If there wasn't any museums or banks then Danny would steal a local landmark. Tim still wasn't sure how Phantom stole an entire building that one time but it had never been seen since.
22. Hood grows to be very protective of our favorite ghost boy. They bond and are actually really close. Danny admits he always wanted an older brother.
23. Tim goes off world for a while to see how Danny would react and Danny just...drops off the radar. No one knows where he is and after a week or two they start getting worried.
Tim returns after three months and Danny reappears two weeks after him with a tan and keepsakes from the places he visited on his vacation. Tim later screams into his pillow.
24. Tim has made it his personal mission to figure out who Danny really is, why he's fixated on him, where he came from, ect. Hes trying so hard but can't find anything. Its almost like he didn't exist before. Tim suddenly got an idea after Phantom accidentally got hit in the face and got a nosebleed. Tim saw green blood and immediately realized Danny might not even be human. Fortunately for our little ghost, he thinks he's an alien. A Martian specifically. Tim manages to snag a good sample from treating Phantoms wounds. Ghostboy was so focus on his core thrumming and mentally comparing it to his heart racing that he didn't even notice.
25. Tim later freaks out because the meta is freaking made out of Lazarus water.
The entire batfam was not happy to discover this and decided to work together to pressure Phantom into telling them what he was and what exactly he wanted.

A/N: Hi, I have a pounding headache from Memorial Day drinking and I have work early tomorrow morning, but I had to finish this one, so I banged out the end of this to help me feel better :)
Also happy 100th one shot for this blog!! Gosh, my brain conjures up too many scenarios lol. But honestly I couldn't have done it without a lot of your requests! Majority of these one shots have been because you all want to see me write things honestly I have no idea why but ok?? so thanks a bunch to all of you!
~~
"Are you sure you're okay getting home by yourself?"
"It's pretty dark outside, we should walk you home."
I smiled at my friends' kindness.  "It's okay, I'm just 10 minutes up the block."
Asui leans against the door frame, not convinced in the slightest.  "I don't think this is safe, Y/N, it's really late."
"I'd blame myself if something happened to you," Ochaco holds my hand.
I wrench my hand away.  "No, really, I don't want to put you guys out of your house for me, I'll be fine, really!"
"Text us the SECOND you get home!"
.
Well that was a great big lie.
If there's one thing my parents always scared me on growing up is never walking alone.  I thought sticking to the well-lit business streets would help keep my nerves down, but the occasional cast of the streetlamps against the dark night wasn't assuring in the least.  The lack of civilians at the late hour further cast an air of isolation.  I found myself in a brisk walk through the streets, hurried by my fear of danger.
Why did I say no?  A little company would've helped so much.  Then again, there's no reason a group of thugs wouldn't take a small group of unarmed girls.  I've heard that happen before, I couldn't let that happen to my friends.
I take a deep breath and put my hood up.  Just 2 more blocks forward, then turn right and go straight to your block.  You'll be fine.  Any conversation with myself is a welcome distraction from the cold chill running down my spine.
There's an uneasiness as I cross another street to the next crosswalk.  The sharp anchor slowly dawning in the back of my head is more distinct than the former chill.  When I stop at the red crosswalk, I quickly dare a backwards glance.  I wish I hadn't.
Behind me, a shadow of a person just a few meters away saunters in my direction.
I snap my head back forward.  My heart starts beating faster as my mind cycles through every possible scenario that can happen.  Getting hit in the head, shoving a chloroform rag in my face, sticking a needle in my neck, straight up being dragged into the nearest alleyway; flashes of danger hit me, each worse than the last.  My body echoes a phantom, numbing chill at each method of assault my mind conjures up.
What do I do?  I think of the videos I've seen online about what to do in this kind of situation.  "If you think someone is following you, make 3 right turns because that means they've just went in a circle."
Fuck the crosswalk.  I quickly turn right, refusing to wait until the light allows pedestrians to cross.  My feet carry me faster as the light wanes from the main street.  I've escaped the "safety" of the busy street for the even more isolated residential area.  Whoever's chasing me won't have anyone to worry about witnessing whatever crime he's about to commit against me now.  WHY did I do this?!
I turn my head half around to see if my pursuer is still on my tail, part of me hoping I was wrong, only to see them turning the corner without missing a beat.  My heart sinks and I force myself to go faster without breaking into a run, my legs stiffening into an unnaturally brisk pace only folding at my hips.  What do I do, what do I do now?!
I turn the next corner, faintly registering the burn in my legs.  I have to think of something else, I can't keep running from them forever.  I dart my eyes around to find some semblance of a person to help me if I need it, but the street is bare.  Everyone's already safe in their homes while I'm out here in potential danger.  Another stolen glance behind me proves that the figure is still following me.  I'm only slightly relieved to see them just slightly farther away than before.
There's no one around me to help, I'll have to summon my own help.
I whip out my phone and call the first person I know on speed dial.
"Hey babe, how was-"
"Kiri, someone's following me," I breathe out.
It takes him a few heartbeats to respond.  "Get somewhere safe and send me your location.  Now."  I hear him shuffling on the other side.  "I'm coming to get you."
"Okay-"
"Stay on the phone with me if you can."  I hear the jingle of his keys.  "Try to stay calm."
A tinge of warmth quells my cold fear.  "I'm trying, I'm just really scared."
"I know, but I'm coming to get you.  You'll be safe with me soon."
I take a moment to appreciate the honey sweetness of his voice, picturing being in his arms under a warm bed.  It reinvigorates me enough to turn the third corner and walk faster.  The main street spread right in front of me.  I tell him which street I'm on once I approach the intersection.
"Get inside the convenience store on the corner and wait in the bathroom," he instructs.
The door to the store is right there as I make the final right turn.  I duck inside and hurry into the back where the bathroom is, locking myself in and leaning against the wall.  I quickly send Kirishima my location and catch my breath for the first time in at least 15 minutes.
"Are you okay, babe?" he asks me through the phone.
"Yeah," I huff out.  "I'm just a little wound up, that's all.  Just hurry, please."  A small part of me refuses to completely calm down until I'm at his house.
"I'm almost there, just at the light."
A few minutes pass of silence through the phone.  I shut my eyes as my head spins.
"Alright, I'm in the store, it's me knocking."
Three raps on the door and I'm already standing and shoving the door open.  At the first sight of his red hair, I collapse into his arms.  "You're here."
His thick arms envelop me just as tightly.  "I'm right here, I told you.  Let's go home."
The entire way home, Kirishima keeps a hand on me at all times.  He firmly keeps his grasp on my waist to the car, holds my hand the whole drive, and leads me with a hand on my back as we get into the house.
I find my way to his familiar bedroom, wrapping myself in his black comforter and curling into a ball.  Only when I've settled in this position do I finally feel safe, the phantom anxiety still easing itself from the back of my mind.
Kirishima places a glass of water on his bedside table before getting into the bed with me.  "You still scared, babe?"
I immediately nuzzle into his chest and hum in ascent. The woodsy smell of his cologne envelopes me with his strong arms.
"It's okay, you're safe with me here," he coos, placing a kiss on my forehead.
"That was scary," I mutter.
"I was scared too, y'know," he ghosts his nose on my temple, "I thought something was gonna happen to you.  What kind of boyfriend am I if I can't protect you?"
My heart melts at his sincerity.  I poke my hands out of the blanket and cup his face, staring into his eyes with a smile.  "Well, I'm here now.  Thank you for being there, Kiri."
He returns the smile and pecks my nose before crushing me in another hug.  "Whoever tries to take you away from me should watch their back.  I'd go to the ends of the world to find you."

Lightning
fanfiction
hi im still on this also im too lazy to put this on ao3 since the rest of dannymay2020 is only on ffn knjbhgv
Lightning flashed above the trees as Danny ran through the forest. His feet slapped through the mud and the rain plastered his hair to his face.
His powers were shorted out and the hunters pursuing him were gaining on him. He couldn’t last much longer just running through the dark, slippery forest. He’d have to find somewhere to hide eventually.
As he passed another tree, the woods opened up into a small clearing. He could see a small pavilion-picnic structure before the path led to a parking lot further away. This was going to be his best shot for now. He slowed as he walked closer to it, looking for a way in when he suddenly walked into someone’s chest.
Panic shooting through his chest, Danny punched the person in the stomach and tried to dart away before they grabbed onto his arms.
“What the fuck… Fenton?”
Danny looked up with wide eyes into Dash Baxter’s face. He could cry from both relief and dismay right now.
“Why do you look like you’re being chased by ghosts?” Dash paused. “Are you being chased by ghosts?”
Danny shook his head. “Not ghosts.” He panted. “Hunters.”
Dash’s eyes widened. “Hunters? Why are hunters chasing you? Are they serial killers?”
“They’re ghost hunters. They’ve been chasing me for 30 minutes-”
“Why are ghost hunters chasing you?” Dash asked, his brows furrowed.
“That’s not important.” Danny said as he began to look around again. “I need to find somewhere to hide before-”
The rustling of bushes could be heard coming from the direction Danny had run from. Whispers made their way through the rain towards them.
“Shit!” Danny whispered.
Then Danny was being pushed towards the room in the pavilion. “Dash, there’s no time. It’ll take too long for us to open-” Danny stopped as Dash opened the door and shoved him inside. “-it.” Dash started pulling off his letterman jacket and the hoodie he was wearing underneath it. He handed both to Danny. “Put these on.”
“What?”
“Put them on! You don’t want them to recognize you, right?”
Danny looked at Dash for a moment before shoving both the oversized hoodie and letterman jacket over his small frame. Once he had the letterman jacket situated, he felt Dash pull the hood up over his head.
“Okay, so here’s what we’re gonna do if they come in here. We’re-”
Both Danny and Dash looked over Dash’s shoulder as they heard the doorknob rattle.
Dash turned back to Danny and got real close, pushing him against the wall.
“We have to pretend to makeout.”
“What?” Danny looked up at him.
“What else are two teenagers gonna be doing here in the middle of the night? They won’t ask us any questions if they think we’ve been macking on each other the whole time.” “Like a fakeout makeout?”
“Yeah?” Dash looked down at him. “Why do you have a name for that-”
The door opened behind Dash and he pushed himself even closer to Danny, his face inches from his own. Dash’s hand came to rest against his cheek and the two men who entered the room started talking.
“I don’t think he’ll be here. The ectoplasm readings aren’t high enough and-” The man who was speaking paused and Danny felt himself tense up. “See I told you. It’s just some teenagers who are probably from Amity Park. All those people there have small ecto signatures, it was too low to be that ghost.”
Dash jumped and turned around to face them, faking embarrassment.
The other man scoffed. “He couldn’t have gotten far, he couldn’t fly.” The man looked at the two of them. “Have either of you kids seen a ghost around here? White hair? Weird jumpsuit outfit?”
Danny felt Dash tense up at the mention of his ghost half’s description. “No, we haven’t seen any ghosts since we left Amity Park. Is there a dangerous one roaming around out here?”
The first man nodded. “We’ve been following a level eight ghost for about a mile and a half now. We’re worried about it getting back to town.”
“Huh. Well we haven’t seen anything. But, I think we,” Dash grabbed Danny by the waist and pulled him to his side, “are going to head back into town. We wouldn’t want to get mauled out here where no one can find us.”
“What about your friend there? Has he seen anything? He’s been awfully quiet.” The second man said, leveling a look at Danny.
“Oh him?” Dash laughed nervously. “He’s mute. He doesn’t talk, but he’s been with me the whole time so he wouldn’t have seen anything either.”
The man pursed his lips. “Okay, well, have a nice night you two. Stay safe in that weather out there.”
“Thanks!” Dash said as he waved at them. “You too!”
He pulled away from Danny and grabbed him by the hand, quickly pulling him out of the building and towards his car. He didn’t pull away until he had shoved Danny into the passenger seat of his car and was heading around to the driver’s seat.
Danny watched the men walk out of the building as they drove away. The further away they got, the more Danny relaxed into the seat.
He let out a breath and looked over at Dash. “Thanks, I would’ve been toast without you there. You should drive around town a bit just in case they decide to follow us.”
Dash glanced at Danny before turning his eyes back to the road. “Why were they looking for Phantom?”
Danny paused. “What?”
“Phantom. Ghost with white hair, weird jumpsuit outfit.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Come on, Fenton!” Dash shouted. “Don’t lie to me! Were you just hanging out with him? Why didn’t he stay with you? Why didn’t he try to keep them off of your trail? Were you protecting him?”
“I don’t know why they thought I looked like Phantom. They were chasing me, not him.”
“That doesn’t even make sense. How would they confuse you for Phantom? You don’t even-” Dash paused as Wes’s words crawled through his brain, insisting to the whole student body that Danny was Phantom. Dash’s mouth dropped open and he slammed on the breaks, coming to a sudden stop in the middle of the road.
Danny braced himself against his seat and the door. “Dash! What the hell!”
“You really are Phantom, aren’t you?” Dash said, facing Danny.
“No, I’m not.” Danny said, glaring at Dash.
“Oh, shove it. Why else would they describe Phantom when they were chasing you through the forest? You realize that doesn’t make sense, right?” “So, what, I tell you I’m Phantom so you can call me a freak and tell the school?” Danny scoffed. “Yeah, right. No thanks.”
Dash stared at Danny, his expression dropping. “You really think I’d tell the whole school?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t you?” Danny mumbled back.
Dash continued to stare at Danny. “Because they would hurt you.”
Danny let out a dry laugh.
“What? Why do you think I stopped wondering where you hung out when you weren’t fighting ghosts? I’m not stupid enough to ignore all the ghosts and ghost hunters that have it out for your neck!” Dash sighed. “The longer the GIW were in Amity Park the more I realized the kind of danger you were in.”
Danny’s gaze flicked over to Dash.
“It wasn’t even just the GIW. Your parents-” Dash’s mouth dropped open again. “What the fuck! Your parents! They hunt you!”
“They don’t know.”
“Well no shit!” Dash ran a hand through his hair. “Holy shit.”
“Listen, Dash, while I would love to keep exposing my deepest secrets to you, I’d really like to get out of this forest.”
“Right, right.” Dash sat forward in his seat again, driving forward.
Silence settled over them, Danny staring out his window and Dash flicking his gaze to the other boy frequently.
They finally made it back into town and Dash drove up and down and around the different streets a couple times before finally pulling up in front of Fentonworks.
Danny sighed and unbuckled his seatbelt. “Finally. Thanks, for, you know.” He was about to get out of the car when he paused, looking down at the jacket and hoodie he was still wearing. “Here, I almost forgot-” Danny started shrugging out of the letterman jacket when Dash stopped him.
“It’s still raining. You can borrow them and give them back to me on Monday.”
Danny’s brow furrowed. “Are you sure? Don’t you want something to wear in the rain?”
Dash shrugged. “I’ll be fine. I think I have another hoodie buried in here somewhere.”
“Okay, well.” Danny grabbed the door handle. “Bye.” He quickly climbed out of the car and darted up the stairs to the front door. Before he closed it, he turned back to Dash and waved goodbye and shut the door.
Dash waited a few seconds before taking a deep breath and he started to drive away.
He had a feeling he wouldn’t be getting the sight of Danny in his jacket out of his head anytime soon.

the end is where we start from
What we call the beginning is often the end / And to make an end is to make a beginning / The end is where we start from. ~ T.S. Elliot, Little Giddings
Danny was running, he didn’t know where to all he knew was who he was running from. He didn’t know if his parents were even coming after him, guns blazing and mouths sneering but he didn’t dare turn around to look. Maybe they weren’t even going to bother chasing him, maybe they were just happy the ghostly scum was out of their house.
He saw the entrance to Amity’s deepest woods and he darted for it. It was dark and thick and easy to lose yourself in so people usually thought twice before they entered. But people like Danny had little else to lose. The sting of branches swiping at him before he could turn intangible, giant, gnarling roots tripping him up before he could float over him. But he didn’t dare slow down because that would mean acknowledging what had happened.
Another missed curfew, another argument where he and his parents talked about but around each other. Another ghost showing up just as he got dressed for bed, another transformation to take care of it before he could get some sleep. Only the same old script flipped on itself when Mom opened the door, bringing in some tea as an apology for her harsh words just into time to see her son become a ghost. Her gun was drawn before the cup hit the floor and shattered, along with Danny’s heart.
Deep in the thicket of the woods, his human lungs burned and his living muscles ached but he couldn’t turn into Phantom now. Not when it was the stupid ghost’s fault he wasn’t welcome in his own home anymore.
‘What are you doing with my son, ghost?’
‘Mom, please it’s Danny I can explain, please would you just listen?’
‘You can’t be alive and dead at the same time! It’s impossible!’ Oh god my baby died and I didn’t even notice’
‘Mom, Dad, listen to Danny, he’s telling the truth. This is why he never-’
‘Jasmine, you’ve been deceived that’s what ghosts do! That’s what Phantom in particular is known for!’
“Jazzy, Danno, I want to believe you, but it’s a lot to take in. Let us run some tests to make sure.’
‘Danny! Danny wait! Come back!’
Eventually his human body ran out of steam, adrenaline and desperation can only take a person so far. His speeding gait slowed to a lopping jog before settling into a quiet, miserable walk. He squeezed his eyes shut and dared to look over his shoulder but, of course, no one was there. It was just him, the darkness and his own woes.
“What am I going to do now?” He asked quietly, weakly as he fought back panicked tears. All he could see was his mother’s angry, grieving face. His father’s confusion as he tried to make sense of it all while trying to keep the peace. Jazz’s frustration and futile attempts to shield Danny from the worst of the shouting.
He had nothing on his person, why would he? He’d been about ready to go to bed when his whole world came crashing down. His worn Star Wars t-shirt and sweatpants offered little protection from the gloomy October weather but Danny’s ice core more than protected him from the chill. He welcomed it if anything, it matched the ice growing in his heart. No money to escape with, no phone to call for help, no tools to contain any ghosts he battled. He hadn’t even had dinner last night, too busy fighting ghosts. For the first time, Danny was well and truly on his own. Not even dying had seemed so scary.
“I can handle this,” Danny said with false calm. It was pitch dark around him but a little ectoplasmic light brightened the area up. “I’ll just stay here for the night and then I’ll check in tomorrow. If things are still bad, I’ll grab my gear and go.” Where he’d go was a whole other question but that wasn’t important right now. He was still too raw to think about what he’d do if he actually had to abandon his human life. All he could focus on right now was the hurt pulsing through him.
He wandered around in the dark for a little while longer, looking for a suitable place to set up camp for the night. Eventually, he came upon a set of twisting trees that was perfect for his purposes. Lightening his weight, he climbed up halfway and made a little ice tent in the branches. It was lightweight but thick, covering him up and serving as a shield between him and the rest of the world. In his own little ice palace, no one else could hurt him.
“There we go, home sweet home,” Danny mumbled as he crawled inside with a dull thump. He’d left a little skylight open, so he could look up at the stars. If he didn’t think too hard about it, he could imagine he was out camping with his dad or stargazing with his friends. “No, stop it. You’re only making it worse,” he said quietly to himself as the annoying flush of sadness washed over him. He didn’t like to cry; it made him feel stupid and childish and exhausted. Jazz had lectured him about the cleansing release of neurochemicals and other junk but really he usually felt worse after crying.
“This is fine, everything is fine,” Danny sniffled, shuddering as he curled in on himself. The only cold that could hurt him was his own. It really wasn’t a great idea to use his that much of his ice in his human form, it chilled his body too much to be healthy. That, combined with his light clothes, the chilly night and that fact that he was laying on a solid block of ice, didn’t help matters. If Sam and Tucker could see him, they’d be shoving him in the shower to warm him up and plying him with food and blankets. Jazz and her dozen kind of herbal teas that help with mood or digestion or whatever would shove one or two into his hands and hover until he drank some. Their nagging was annoying but it was helpful and made him feel so loved. Love he wasn’t feeling out in the woods all by himself in the middle of the night.
“This is fine,” he repeated, more choked up this time and gave into his desire to cry. His chest hurt from the force of his sobs and eyes burned from the salty tears. He was flushed and cold and miserable but eventually, after wiping snot away from his nose and hiccupping quietly, he was ready to sleep. He was so worn out from all the hurting and the crying that he slipped from wakefulness as easy as going ghost.
“Child, what are you doing?” Danny groaned at the vaguely familiar voice. His ghost sense went off, reminding him once more how cold he was. He barely had it in him to shiver right now. “Ghost child, awaken and explain yourself.” Cold metal poked repeatedly into his side until Danny shoved the hand away, sitting up with a miserable glare.
“Go away, I’m not in the mood,” Danny grumbled, turning away from Skulker to try and go back to sleep. “I already feel bad enough, I don’t need you making it worse.”
“That does not explain why you are in a tree in the woods,” Skulker said slowly, still hung on stupid details. “The last I checked, the human Lair you stayed in was still standing. I stopped there to show you my latest weapon but you weren’t there, I traced your signature here.”
“Congrats, pass go and collect $200,” Danny sniped back quietly, not putting any heat into it. He didn’t have much to spare.
“Why are you out here, all alone?” Skulker frowned, “humans are susceptible to the elements, I presume you’re no exception given your current state. Just this once, I will stay the hunt to return you to your human Lair and we shall resume at a later-”
“No, I can’t go back,” Danny gasped fearfully, he curled in deeper on himself. “My parents, they know about me, about my powers. They didn’t take it well, I can’t- I don’t have anywhere else to go.”
“But those human children-”
“I’m not getting them involved in this, they’re already in too deep. Tucker’s still grounded from that incident with Desiree and if Sam’s parents caught me in her room at night I’d lose the other half of my miserable life,” Danny grumbled. “Just leave me alone or kill me and take my pelt. Either one, it doesn’t matter anymore.”
“I see,” Skulker hummed, “stay here, Child, I will return.” Skulker said before flying off.
“Great, can’t wait,” Danny murmured as he rearranged himself on his ice block. He still felt unbearably cold but it probably wasn’t enough to actually kill him. Probably. “Stupid ghosts, stupid powers, if I hadn’t walked into that stupid portal, I’d be be safe and warm in bed right now and only have to worry about passing pre-calc.” It felt like he’d barely fallen back asleep when he was forcibly awaken by something soft and heavy dropping on him.
He phased out of the tangle only to find a bunch of blankets and heavy winter coat that looked 2 sizes too big for him. “What the-”
“Wow you weren’t kidding, babe, he looks like a trainwreck,” he heard Ember’s gruff voice say. “Hey dummy, put on the stupid coat. I ain’t had nerve endings in a while but I’m getting cold just looking atcha.”
“You bring your girlfriend to harass me in the middle of the night with,” Danny eyed the pile with price tags still on them, “stolen merchandise.”
“Shut up, we’re crashing your pathetic little pity party so you don’t die before I can off you myself,” the rock star huffed. “If that coat isn’t on you in five seconds, I’m manhandling your skinny arms into it.”
“Jeez you’re worse than my sister,” Danny grumbled even as he pulled the coat on. It was big but fluffy, the extra layer instantly made him feel a bit better. “Happy?”
“Getting there. Techy, you brought the food or what?” Danny yelped as a large amount of food dropped in through his skylight. It was an interesting mix, a jumbo bag of peanuts, dijon mustard, a jar of pickled eggs, a couple bags of chips and a box of uncooked macaroni noodles. “Here, eat some human food.”
“What?” Danny questioned as Technus poked his head into the icy tree house.
“Oh nice place you got here child but it needs more lights and a flat screen and, oh, I can set you up with a killer stereo system over eek!” the technology ghost yelped as he was pulled back and Poindexter replaced him.
“Hey Danny, heard you were in a bit of a bind. Thanks to you, my Lair’s school is a better place now, bully free. You can cool your jets with me if you need to fly the coop.” Danny didn’t answer and instead opened one of the bags of chips, barbeque and ranch sweet.
“You can also stay on my island for however long you need to recover,” Skulker grumbled, like it pained him to say. “It’s no fun to hunt you when you’re so weak. I want to defeat you at your prime not at your lowest.”
“No, no, come to my lair! Everything is beeping and flashing all the time and I have a Minecraft room!” Technus interjected.
“I guess you could come to mine if you have to,” Ember huffed. “But aren’t you also buddy buddy with the Yetis bein’ an ice core and all? Or Queen Dora? Pretty much anyone will open their lairs to you with your stupid, beaten puppy dog eyes.”
“You guys, I don’t know what to say,” Danny said softly, taken aback by the show of kindness. He took in the blankets, the coat, the food, their offers. They didn’t understand, not really, but they were trying. It meant a lot, coming from his enemies. “Thank you.”
“Well, yeah, us nerds got to stick together,” Poindexter grinned.
“You’re human and an annoyance but your existence has given my afterlife quite a thrill. I’m not ready for the hunt to end quite yet,” Skulker announced.
“You’re our favorite nemesis,” Technus exclaimed, trying to squeeze his face back through the packed skylight. “We fight, we banter but we also support each other when we’re down! Whenever I’m feeling down, I come into the human world and our battles have me back up and running in no time!”
“Huh,” Danny said, looking down with a small smile. If his enemies could put aside their grudges and help him when he needed it then maybe... “Thanks again really but uh, I think I should go home, check in with my folks. Probably shouldn’t have run off like that but um, if it goes bad...”
“You’re part ghost,” Skulker said with a sharp nod. “The Zone is as much your home as it is ours. Really should get around to making a Lair one of these days. Only weak ghosts and parasites leech off of others.”
“You know the way back from here?” Ember asked. “Need an entourage?”
“Yeah I got it,” Danny answered, triggering his transformation. Poindexter squealed with delight as he phased out of his sad little ice cave. It looked cold and lonely which wasn’t what he needed right now. “And I’ll- it’ll be fine. I don’t think bringing a bunch of ghosts home with me will help my case.”
“Farewell, Child. May your spirits be higher on our next meeting. Having the support of ghost hunters will certainly add to the challenge of the hunt,” Skulker grinned. “I look forward to it.” He flew off and the others followed. Danny smiled, watching them go for a moment before flying in the opposite direction towards his house.
He was halfway home when the Fenton Assault Vehicle careened around a corner at an unsafe speed. Danny jumped as it went past, startled out of invisibility. He made eye contact with his parents before the RV skidded to a screeching halt and then hastily backed up. The window rolled down and he met the wide, teary eyes of his mom and dad.
“Uh funny running into you in a place like this,” he said shyly, looking down.
“Oh thank heavens, Danny where have you been? We’ve been worried sick!” His mother cried, jumping out of the RV and pulling him down into her arms. His father was on the phone, he heard Jazz’s name being mentioned, along with Sam and Tucker. “Baby, you’re freezing! Is this,” she paused, pulling back and delicately touching his wisp like hair. “Is that normal?”
“Sort of,” he said, leaning back into her touch. “It’s all kind of a long story. I shouldn’t have run off like that, I’m sorry.”
“No, you shouldn’t have but I don’t blame you,” Dad said, stepping out of the car and wrapping them both in a hug. “But Fenton men always make up for their goof ups. You were headed back home, right?”
“Yeah, home,” Danny sighed.
“Danny, I still don’t understand but I, we, love you and I’m sorry if we made you doubt that. We’ll work it out, sweetie, I promise. That’s what family does,” Mom said before ushering him and Dad into the car. “Now in you get, it’s too cold and too late for this and I do not want the neighbors complaining to the HOA again.”
Danny changed back in front of his parents for the second time that evening, this time intentionally. Their curiosity and happiness at seeing him overrode their earlier fear and confusion. He settled more comfortably into the backseat, warm and happy for the first time all evening.
“Danno, where’s you get the jacket?” Dad asked.
“My other family, don’t worry, I’ll explain it all tomorrow.”

2, 3, 11, and 12 for the latest meme?
2) What’s your favorite fic?
Ack, tbh I haven't really been too up-to-date on reading DP-related fics these days 😅... but I do remember this one fic about an AU-version of "The Ultimate Enemy" (where Sam ended up surviving) was an interesting story to read through from what I recall.
3) If you could canonically rewrite any episode, which would you chose?
Heh... weell there's actually a few that's always been on my mind for potential "rewrite" material (not counting "Phantom Planet" 'cause I mean, everyone does that lol). Here's the three that's been most on my mind atm:
-"Teacher of the Year" (S1) = Had a good premise going with Lancer getting more development + the videogame adventure aesthetics looking cool... but I really could've done without that random "Danny and Tuck act sexist to Sam outta nowhere" subplot :/. Like... weren't these three friends since like, 2nd grade? Why would they act so condescending about her playing games as they do (+especially knowing how Sam is, I doubt she would've let this slide if she's gonna keep hanging out with them)? It just felt so OOC & unnecessary to the story that I honestly think it'd be best to just scrap it (and instead replace it with like, a story of the trio just playing the games on equal terms without much conflict (except maybe getting more "casually" competitive or something for high score-purposes)? Idk-)
-"Urban Jungle" (S3) = While I do still enjoy this one alot based purely on entertainment-value (+all the cool aesthetics like Plant!Sam & Danny's new ice powers), a part of me does feel like it would've benefitted a lot more by being a full-on movie than a regular episode. More time to give the heroes some big stakes, character development, more intense fights (+Plant!Sam being more "active" of a threat), yknow all that jazz .3.
-"The Ultimate Enemy" (S2) = I know this is a fan-favorite by the fandom and all... buuuut yeah, I'm still not all that impressed by it tbh :p. Like, okay sure having that darker atmosphere and Danny's biggest "enemy" being the fear of growing up is a good idea in-theory... but, again how does it make sense for him to turn to Vlad when losing all his loved ones?? Like... you couldn't have just had Danny doing the "splitting-my-halves-apart" ritual himself out of his own personal guilt? Honestly I feel like that angle could've added more weight to the story + show how much Danny's ghostly side has become a core part of him than he realized (think of it like how Steven Universe became so drained/close to dying when his "Gem" side got taken out in the "Change Your Mind" special). Then I guess if you had to include Vlad, it'd be through this now-separated Phantom!Danny chasing him down for "revenge" and absorbing his powers, forming into the "Dark Danny" you see today. Or... idk, maybe thats just me lol.
11) Most underrated fic trope?
It pains me that I still have yet to see that many others exploring more of the family backgrounds for some of the characters outside of Danny... like, cmon especially with a case like the gloomy goth girl Sam growing up with preppy/controlling rich parents, it always made curious of how she must've coped with that growing up :c. Sam with those like Tucker as well since we only see his folks in snippets in the show, wonder what they must be up to?
12) Most overrated fic trope?
Idk if this is still a thing "regularly" by the current fandom but... could never really get the appeal of "dissection" fics tbh (let alone performed by his own parents ._.). Like, don't get me wrong I'm all for exploring a bit of "dark" themes here and there fanfic-wise but... really? Danny's folks? The same people who accepted their son wholeheartedly when he first revealed the truth in "Reality Trip"? Idk, just feels too OOC for me to see them doing such a thing to their own kid (ghost-researching jobs or not) .-.

Okay, so after last night’s episode I would just like to say that Supercorp IS Endgame. I’d also like to point out the various reasons as to why Kara and Lena are not only soulmates but true twin flames.
For those reading this post who have never heard of the term twin flame: “A twin flame is your own soul, shared across what appears to be two physical beings. It’s one soul, split into two bodies.” -Google’s definition.
For those who are spiritually inclined and have a proclivity for indulging esoteric philosophies; Lena and Kara are ABSOLUTELY twin FUCKING flames 🔥🔥🔥!!
Here are the reasons why:
1. Their drastically different childhoods that resulted in remarkably similar trauma.
Both Kara and Lena have experienced great loss throughout their life. Both mourned the death of their parents, and life as they knew it, at a very early age. Both were shipped off to a foreign land, forced to leave behind everything they knew, in hopes for a brighter/safer future.
Albeit, Lena got the shorter end of the stick in regards to unconditional love, but both were given a second chance and a new start...and yet, they still never fit in, or felt like they truly belonged.
Although they individually have dealt with said trauma in different ways (Lena by pushing away those who try to get too close, and Kara by holding on tightly to those she holds dear) both of their actions are motivated by the same subconscious fear that they HAVE never and WILL never TRULY belong. All while yearning for a sense of “home”.
2. They are opposite reflections of each other; true “mirror souls”, if you will.
Physically, aesthetically, economically, and emotionally—they are complete “mirrors” of one another.
Kara is strong, physically powerful, cut from marble, all hard edges and sharp lines—except for her face. Lena is clearly not as physically powerful, she is soft, all curves, and exudes the grace of the Devine feminine energy—except for her face, which is hard edges and sharp jaw lines. You see what I’m saying?
Aesthetically and economically go hand in hand of course. Lena’s exorbitant wealth is evident in her high-end designer appearance; whereas Kara’s aesthetic is more humble and grounded, and prioritizes comfort over “fashion”. (Let’s admit it. Some of Kara’s fashion choices have been questionable. She clearly rocks the chinos and button-downs better than anything else in that eclectic closet of hers she refuses to come out of 😏)
Emotionally...oh honey. Do I need to say more? I won’t say much but I will say this: Kara is the sun and Lena is the moon. They compliment each other in a way that ensures the world keeps turning.
3. Their individual strengths are the other’s individual weakness and vice versa.
Goes along with the aforementioned “opposite reflection” point above but I’ll expand a bit further in regards to their specific personality traits.
Lena is predominately analytically driven, whereas Kara is emotionally driven. Lena is good in crowds, Kara is not (overwhelmed). Lena is introverted, Kara is extroverted. Lena is detail oriented and has the memory of an elephant, Kara is clumsy and as forgetful as a Pisces (but hey, she has a lot on her plate and barely any free time to balance it). Lena eats like a rabbit-bird-hybrid and Kara eats like a garbage disposal. Kara loves giving and receiving hugs and other forms of physical affection whereas Lena does not (UNLESS it’s from Kara, of course). Etc. Etc. you get the picture.
4. Now this one is the DEAD GIVEAWAY. Undeniable, irrefutable PROOF that Lena and Kara are twin flames.
They are LITERALLY completing what is know as the Twin Flame Journey or the Twin Flame Union.
The stages of Twin Flame Union are roughly as follows:
1. Yearning for “the one”. I think every human being that believes in love experiences this whether it’s throughout their entire life, or only their adult life until they meet this person but yeah. You get it. Kara has always wanted that “Wapow!” moment.
2. Glimpsing/meeting “the one”. Whether it’s only for a short moment, an extended meeting, or perhaps merely locking eyes with them as you pass each other by...you feel immediately connected. There is an instant soul recognition when meeting them, so much so that you could have sworn you’ve met them before or that it’s as if you’ve known each other your whole lives.
Remember when Kara met Lena? And she was gaga-eyed over Lena? Or when Lena felt so comfortable around a new acquaintance that she granted an almost stranger unbridled access to her office? Or how about when Red Daughter flew to America (the country she was taught to hate), with no recollection/memories of Kara’s relationship with Lena (again, the woman she was taught to hate), all because she felt PULLED to do so. And then when she did meet Lena she looked at her and practically drooled over her as if Lena was a double XL cheeseburger with extra special sauce from Big Belly Burger? Like, biiiitch 👀
3. Falling in love. Need I say more? Fine, again, I will. You CANNOT tell me that there is no way in hell that these two morons are anything BUT in love with each other. That’s a lot of double negatives and I appplogize so let me reiterate for clarification: THEY ARE IN LOVE AND YOU CAN’T CHANGE MY MIND!
And at this point is it so freaking BEYOND platonic love, the show cannot explain it away or sweep it under the “just close friends” rug. No. Kara used her Fifth Dimensional Wish (she literally could have wished her entire planet didn’t explode) and she said “make Lena not mad at me, I’m sad 😔” 👀. Mmmkay. Not to mention Lena picking Supergirl over Jack, her former lover. Or the plethora of other times Lena chose Kara/Supergirl over everyone else she knew. Mmkay.
4. The fairytale relationship/friendship. Lena has finally found someone she can depend on, be vulnerable with, support her without judgement, trust with her life etc. and Kara has finally found a true best friend, not her sister, not Kenny who she didn’t realize was her best friend till after he passed? And now he’s not dead?? But her one true best friend that she felt she didn’t need to be neither Supergirl, nor Kara Danvers, but rather Kara Zor-El around (despite Lena not knowing that little tidbit of information).
They were each other’s best friend. Each other’s person. They were happy.
5. Outer Turmoil and Inner Purging—Supergirl and Lena fight. Lena still does not know that Kara is indeed Supergirl and does not pick up on the brewing tension between herself and Kara.
Kara of course is riddled with guilt and her relationship with Lena becomes strained. This outer turmoil creates inner purging by bringing out negative traits in each other. I.E. Lena hiding kryptonite and also Kara asking James to spy on her. Shit gets messy but they still try to make it work.
6. The Runner and the Chaser/Separation Stage—Tensions mount between the two and Lena FINALLY learns about Kara’s secret. And she has a choice to make. So what does she do? She runs. Not physically but emotionally. She completely withdraws from not only Kara and their friends but also withdraws from herself.
She literally experiences cognitive dissonance and becomes someone she is not. Someone other people made her believe she was on the inside, even though Kara knows that it isn’t. And so, Kara chases her.
Lena becomes the runner and Kara becomes the chaser as they navigate this separation stage.
Continuously running and continuously chasing.
7. The Surrender and dissolution stage—they’re fucking done. They’re tired. They’re exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally after all the bullshit they put each other through as well as all the bullshit Lex and the Phantom Zone put them through.
They come to an impasse in regards to Lex and realize the only way to defeat him is to work together, as a team. (El Mayarah anyone?)
They surrender to their emotions and to each other as their egos dissolve and their souls expand after having learned invaluable life lessons. The major one being: THEY CANNOT LIVE HAPPILY WITHOUT EACH OTHER!
8. The last stage that we have yet to see but we fucking better or else I’m gonna January 6 the CW studio building—“Oneness”.
This time, I’m not gonna say more.
So, in conclusion: Supercorp is Endgame because Lena Luthor and Kara Zor-El Danvers are the literal definition of a twin flame, soulmate connection. They are the same soul, manifested in two physical forms, for the sole purpose of expanding their soul’s consciousness.
They deserve to be happy, they deserve to be together. Not only does their union parallel some of the greatest love stories throughout history, i.e. Romeo and Juliet, Darcy and Bennet, Superman and Lois (duh) it would also break the curse of generational karma and illustrate to anybody who watches the show that the only person who defines who you are is YOU. Not a name, not a legacy, not society’s expectations, YOU. And most importantly of ALL...it would showcase that love truly does conquer all.
I rest my case.
TPTB, make Supercorp Endgame or kick rocks ✌️😘
Sincerely,
An empassioned fan with way too much time on her hands.
