idk if you guys remember but ochako does have parallels with All Might, specifically as the side who saves. It’s not that he feels the same for them both or something like that, they serve to represent the type of heroism he naturally goes to; his friend is not his love interest, from his perspective she’s out there having a crisis over not being able to save her, and Izuku reminds her that she is a hero bc she is his hero -she saved him multiple times, and she should be able to feel like a proper hero.

This conversation is not about the nature of their relationship, is about heroism; Izuku relates to a conflict between being a hero who saves and failing to save someone, and doesn’t want to see Ochako ending spiraling because she couldn’t also fulfill that role as expected. She’s his hero not because he loves her romantically -he’s a nerd I’m sure he would be way more nervous and blushing if he was confessing anything he thought was romantic- but because she’s able to go and do what All Might does to Izuku, save him physically and emotionally.

He knows she hides her feelings in order to not be a burden, yet he doesn’t talk about his own feelings outside of his guilt in heroics -what does he feel about losing OFA? About his own failures? About the people he personally lost? He can’t talk for others and claim Ochako is everyone’s hero, but he can speak for himself, and that’s his personal perspective -she is a hero to him, she’s his hero. And then the class appears to make sure she’s able to get support and understand she’s not alone, and she’s important to them too.

but Izuku doesn’t get support. Izuku cries a little and talks a little about himself, but he doesn’t get supported. If this was meant to be romantic, I don’t understand why he would hold back what’s inside of him.

the end of the chapter reveals that boy is going to be helped by that woman who regretfully ignored Tenko, and they both witness it and are happy about it while hearing izuku inspired that change, and iida wonders what’s up with them -this is the conclusion to their relationship. In their hearts these two are saviors who struggle to be heroes who save others, and they are happy there are appearing more people who want to be heroes like them. Heroes who save. Save like All Might.

That grandma for example, interpreting the narrative as what I think is intended, would be that boy’s All Might; she’s his hero.

Izuku and Ochako are heroes who save, and Deku is here to remind her at least she did save him many times, that she is still a hero because she is his hero. I don’t believe is meant to be interpreted as romantic, not that Izuku sees that phrase as it neither -after all, he said he does want to be like All Might and feels good to imitate him, but he doesn’t love him.

Ochako’s All Might hair moment, the parallels with Toshinori telling him he can be a hero, the trying to save from black suffocating quirks, the we can do it and do your best…

i really wanted to blend that monk-class inspiration w/ Frank's personal vibe... i like to think that i Succeeded!

i turned his tie into a sort of brooch since, yk. bowties aren't all that Fantastical. they miss the style. also i think they'd be more comfortable with something smaller since he's very active and needs a wide range of maneuverability

i bet Eddie or someone wheedled them into adding the leather shoulder pauldrons - leather to keep it a bit more flexy, and also. it just looks Cool!

figuring out what would replace his vest was tough. i didn't want them to be entirely unprotected, but i couldn't give him straight armor. though i will admit! a sort of tight-fitting crop top was Considered! but i landed on a gambeson vest as the best fit - comfortable, flexible, a Vest, while providing some level of protection! also, gambesons are quilted, which fits Frank's diamond-checkered vest!

ive already mentioned that one of my favorite outfit things is Flowy Pants Tucked Into Boots, so... that choice wasn't very character driven. except the boots are a tall ankle wrap - for that extra stability and strength! their shoes are pretty flexible and are only a few steps away from being slippers.

and the half-skirt - open skirt? - thing (still don't know what its called) is purely some self indulgence. i think Frank looks great in skirts!! also imagining him Throwing Down w/ the added flair of the skirt... damn. it'd probably help confuse enemies too - what're they gonna do next? who knows! the skirt is in the way and adding extra Movement!

i like to think that his knife is either in a sheath attached to the back of the belt, or they have it on their thigh (under the skirt) like Wally's bag. he probably never uses it... punching is the way to go for Frank methinks. it's probably reserved for cutting ropes and fruit

speaking of punching.... wrist wraps! inspired by boxing gauze! pads his knuckles, keeps his wrist compressed, its the best choice for physical combat. though the wrapped knuckles probably always have blood showing through anyway... or no yeah it's mostly other people's blood...

as for scars - Frank probably has quite the collection! i imagine that they've been picking fights since a young age, and in such a dangerous world he probably got hit a Lot until they learned how to hit back. and hit back Well. still, i wanted to give him a cool face scar with a very lame backstory - a book with a crisp, sharp spine corner fell off a high shelf and bonked them in the face at juuuust the right angle <3 he probably stays very fucking quiet about it which makes everyone think there's some intense traumatic backstory behind it. there isn't. Frank's just embarrassed.

Gushing about my better childhood Dr

I want to take a minute to gush about how excited I am to shift to my better childhood dr, but specifically about how excited I am to make my communion and my confirmation in that dr, because I grew up with a mother who acted like those two days that were supposed to be about her daughter were actually about her, like my hair, dress, and makeup. Everything was all what she wanted it to be, but she made it out like it was all what I wanted when it obviously wasn't, which made me feel bad about it when I said I didn't want those things, and on those days we kind of just went where she wanted me to go, you know? We visited relatives, family, friends, and neighbours that I didn't feel comfortable around or even knew, and we'd be there purely because she wanted to show me off, which is a big part of why I'm so excited for my better childhood dr, because on those days it will actually be about me. This time I will actually wear what I want, we will visit who I want, do what I want, and it's going to be so great because I really deserve for those days to just be about me.

Hi, I am here to say I love your Devil’s Bastard au. It’s so fun to read and funny to see those two fumble around their relationship.

Here an idea branch for the AU: What if Alastor was born later? Like wayyy later, during Lilith 7 year absence. Lucifer will feel super depressed at that time and try to cheer himself up by going up to earth. There was a Marci Gras where he met Alastor’s mother and well you know the rest.

Alastor was born and is around two years old when he and his mother were caught in a major car accident that killed them both. His mother is in heaven but because he his Lucifer son, he ended up in hell even though he is a 2 year old toddler.

Luckily for him, he end up in front of The Happy Hotel right after Charlie’s pilot interview. Charlie heard a noise outside and found this tiny little toddler at her doorstep and immediately took him in without knowing him being her half brother.

There will be a lot of crapfest when the truth is revealed, but for know let’s enjoy a wacky adventure with a baby on the side

This sounds like an AU with a lot of comedic potential, but it would also pretty drastically change things up in Hell. Alastor took down a lot of Overlords when he arrived in Hell and, it's implied, helped others rise to power. Would Husk still be an Overlord or would he have fallen to someone else? Would Vox have been able to reach Overlord status without his friendship with Alastor? Would Valentino and Velvette have become Overlords without Vox? How would the Overlords Alastor had taken out be running things? Where is Niffty!?

But Charlie's not worried about that, she's more occupied with the shadow tentacles ripping apart her parlor while the child in her arm is bawling his eyes out. Eventually they manage to get him calmed down and settled in for a nap, but they still need to figure out what to do with him.

Plus, as Charlie points out, there really isn't anywhere to send this child to. There aren't any orphanages or daycares in the Pentagram, except maybe in Imp City. But those ones are still meant for Hellborns, not sinners. What Hellborn is going to adopt a toddler that will never grow up? They're stuck with him.

On top of which, there's something deeply disturbing about the fact that Heaven rejected someone so young and Charlie's determined to figure it out.

Charlie ends up calling the only person she knows who has any experience with children; her dad. He sounds a little spacey and it sounds like he was only half-paying attention to her but she does manage to get him to agree to come over. Charlie's proven right that he wasn't fully listening when Lucifer sees the baby and freezes in shock as though she didn't tell him exactly what she needed his help with over the phone.

Cue the King of Hell bringing over boxes and boxes of Charlie's old baby things to help set up a nursery in the Happy Hotel.
