Nikolai with a s/o who always has a hand on his chest? With consent ofc, and it’s always to feel his heartbeat. I think of this all the time and it’s always super cute in my head.
Hello! That is pretty cute!
Nikolai Always with Reader’s Hand on His Chest
Nikolai is a pretty laid back and chill sort of man, so he usually doesn’t mind you putting your hand over his heart. Maybe not while you’re walking, though, he doesn’t want you to trip. It’s very sweet to him: You wanna make sure that he’s alive? That he’s still with you? That his heart is still beating? Trust me, not even death could take him away from you. He’d dig his way out of his grave after killing the reaper with his bare hands himself. You can always put your hand over his chest while you’re at home together, though. It’s nice to feel you. After a while it would be reassuring to him as well, feeling that you’re there, that you’re with him. He thinks it’s sweet that you always want to be touching him, because if it was up to you he’d do the same thing with you. After some time, once he’s realized that you’re always touching him whenever you can, he tries to get into positions that facilitate you touching him a bit. Usually lies on his back when you’re cuddling so you have full access to him. Can and will fall asleep like that, but will also want to hold you back. Will also put his hand over your heart as well so he can “get back at you”. In reality, feeling your heartbeat is also just nice and reassuring to him. However, he sometimes might lie on your chest in order to hear it as well, something like it lulls him to sleep, after all. You can put your hand over his chest in public as well, though, he doesn’t particularly mind cuddling in public either. There’s a good chance you’ll be nicely clothed, though, so you won’t feel his heartbeat unless you slip your hand under his clothes. You can do that, he doesn’t care about strangers staring in public. However, once it’s time to continue walking around, release him. You can continue your antics once you’ve found another nice bench to sit on.

Regardless of the fact that you and Mor had been friends for well over two centuries, Rhy was only just now granting you access into Velaris after much persuasion from his cousin. The plan being you were to stay with Mor for two weeks while she had some time off from her work so that you could properly catch up after being apart for far too long.
Your first night in the City of Starlight was an eventful one to say the least. During the day, you had let Mor show you around the markets and the Rainbow, stopping to have a late lunch along the Sidra, before she dragged you back to her place to get ready for a night out at Rita's. You had heard a lot about the club over your years of friendship, so you were excited to experience a night there for yourself.
After a few too many glasses of wine over the time it took to get ready, you were well on your way to being very, very drunk before you even stepped inside the crowded establishment. Straight away, Mor was pulling you to the bar before promptly placing a shot glass of some pink-looking drink into your hand, followed by another, and another, leaving you feeling giddy with excitement and the overwhelming desire to dance.
So dance you did.
The hours passed and you briefly remember being introduced to some of Mor's friends, not paying much attention as the music and sway of bodies consumed you. However, the overwhelming heat of the swarm of fae pressed so tightly around you eventually got the better of you. You turned on the spot, looking for you friend to tell her you were going to take a breather, only to find her wrapped around a female and very clearly distracted. With a grin spread across your face, you pushed your way through the masses and headed towards the door.
The fresh air was a welcoming change to the stuffiness you had walked out of. But it was the sight before you that had an expression of awe sketched across your face. Velaris had been pretty in the daylight, but at night? You had never seen anything like it.
"It sure is something, isn't it?" You whipped around to face the deep voice that had spoken from behind you.
"I know you." It wasn't a question. The male in front of you did look familiar.
"Yeah, I'm Cassian. One of Mor's friends. We met earlier?" You nodded with a vague recollection of the tall, muscled figure who had seemed to tower over the rest of the dancing fae.
"Right," But you were distracted by the slanted smirk of his full lips, the slight alcohol-induced haze in his eyes tracked your every movement.
You lent side-by-side against the alleyway wall, talking about whatever mundane thing came to mind before an 'acceptable' enough amount of time had passed, then Cassian had you pressed against said wall. Your legs wrapped tightly around his waist, his mouth attacking your neck with bruising kisses, while you moaned out, not caring who heard, at the feel of him inside you. With a final cry, you became undone in his arms, squeezing around him until he came with a guttural groan. You held onto him for support as he helped steady you back onto your feet, afraid your knees would give out as you panted into the chill night air, the thrum of music and excited chatter reminding you of where you were.
"Well, I should probably...," you motioned behind you towards the door, "Mor is probably looking for me."
"Right. I'll see you later, yeah?"
Cassian waited until you had walked back inside Rita's before deciding to call it a, very pleasant, night and flew back to the House of Wind.
*****
You awoke the next morning with a pounding headache, your stomach churning in a sickly way as the sunlight pooled in through the open curtains.
Mor let out a groan next to you, slamming a pillow over her face before soft snores sounded again. With a groan of your own, you forced yourself out of bed and headed to the bathroom.
You looked like absolute shit.
Your hair was a mess on top of your head, strands having escaped the band you used to pull it out of your face. Dark smudges were smeared around your eyes, a stark contrast to the pale and clammy complexion of your skin. Your eyebrows furrowed even further at the sight of the splattering of hickeys that trailed along the side of your neck and across your chest. Clearly it had been a bigger night than you thought because you had zero recollection of how, or when, they got there. Or, more importantly, who gave them to you.
"You look like you've been attacked by a leech."
You shoved Mor as she stood beside you, observing herself in the mirror with a frown. She looked just as bad, if not worse, than you did.
"You can fuck right off, thank you very much." Your friend just shot you a stunning, if not slightly pained, grin.
"Ugh, come on. Showers then we're going to Rhys' for breakfast," She chucked you a towel before walking out to give you some privacy.
As if in after thought, she threw over her shoulder, "Want me to leave a scarf out for you to cover them up?" You slammed the door in her face, the wooden panel not blocking out her laughter as she asked, "Or would you prefer a jumper? Something with a high neckline?"
*****
Walking past the gate of the High Lord's town house, you knew should definitely be feeling somewhat nervous as the prospect of having a casual, albeit hungover, breakfast with him and his inner circle. But the fact that you were hungover, and that the heavenly smell of bacon was wafting towards you, had all pretences flying out the window.
You and Mor were the first to arrive, or more like, the first to drag yourselves out of bed, so had first dibs of the spread of food before you.
Looking a little green, Mor mumbled something about needing to get some fresh air, leaving you alone to eat your eggs in peace. That peace was short lived, however, as the sound of heavy footfalls coming down the stairs reminded you that there were others in the house, and whose house it was for that matter.
Mor waltzed into the room at the same time as the three Illyrian males, you knew Rhys straight away, having met him a few times throughout the years, but the other two only looked vaguely familiar. You were sure you could pinpoint their names if you thought about it hard enough but, alas, your brain was still not properly functioning.
There was a chorus of muffled "mornings" but other than that, everyone was content to eat, and suffer, in silence.
You eventually got up, taking a pile of dishes into the kitchen, vaguely aware of one of the males following behind you.
He let out a low whistle before saying, "Well, I clearly left an impression."
Your brows furrowed in confusion, turning to face the male as you studied his face.
"Do I know you?" Under normal circumstances, you wouldn't have been so blunt. You would have at least tried to feign some sort of confusion, 'I thought you looked familiar', 'of course, what was your name again?' but with your head still spinning you couldn't bring yourself to care.
"Yes," He let out a laugh that quickly faltered as your evident confusion remained, "We had sex. Last night…"
You blinked as he waved a hand towards your neck, where the marks were still very clearly visible. But before you could say anything, laughter sounded from the other room as a stream of taunts filtered in.
"I thought you said that you were good in bed, Cass. That's just embarrassing, not even a few hours later and poor Y/N has already forgotten all about you."
“Left an impression, my ass.”
Cassian
That's right, you could place him now. Him, and the somewhat blurred memory of frantic and passionate kisses, muscled arms holding you tightly, the sounds of...
Yep, you remembered.
Clearly not deterred in the slightest, Cassian gave you a dazzling smile, running a hand through his tousled hair before saying with a wink, "That's alright, I'll just have to make it more memorable for you next time."
You scrunched your nose at the implication. Sure, he was attractive. Honestly, one of the most attractive males you had ever laid eyes on. But you knew better than to fall for the clearly tried-and-tested smirk that you had no doubt had been used on countless females before you.
"Thanks," You noted the glint in his eyes as he continued fixing you with that intent glaze, "but I'll pass."
You walked towards the collection of snorts and laughter as you left Cassian standing in the kitchen with the stack of dishes, a slightly dumbfounded expression on his face.
*****
A few days into your visit, Mor had left you to your own devices for a few hours, which was how you ended up stretched out on one of the seats in the town house's garden, a book in hand as you basked in the sun. You were slightly aware of the back door opening and closing but paid it no real heed, that is, until the shadow of someone standing in front of you pulled your eyes away from the page.
You looked up expectantly, already anticipating the direction the conversation was heading in; having grown accustomed to Cassian's flirtations and not so subtle attempts of wooing you since that first morning.
"Is this seat taken?"
You looked towards the empty seat he was pointing at, and the one beside it, and the one beside that.
"Yes, it is. No go away, you're blocking the sun." You looked back down at your book, not sparing him a second glance.
"We can't have that now, can we, sweetheart?"
For a moment you thought he had actually listened to you and was heading back inside, that is until you quickly glanced up and found him sprawled across the glass, staring up at you with a smirk.
"What? You said that seat was taken. And at least from down here I'm not blocking the sun. You don't mind if I join you, do you?"
You stared ahead in frustration before letting out a huff as you returned to your book, not missing the grin that had spread over Cassian's face at your reaction.
A few minutes of silenced had passed, you had almost forgotten about Cassian's presence until he let out a soft laugh and said, "I hope you don't mind me saying, but you, right now, the way the sun is shining on you, you look like an absolute vision."
You shifted in your seat trying to ignore the irritation that simmered away.
"What is this? What are you doing?" You snapped back, not giving him a chance to answer, "Is this your way of flirting with me?"
Without missing a beat, Cassian answered, "Yes. Is it working?"
The wink he sent you had your indignantly moving your book up to block him out, and to prevent him from seeing the traitorous blush that spread across your cheeks.
*****
A few night later, you were having dinner with Mor and the rest of the inner circle, having grown quite close to some of them over the week you had been staying.
"You know what I don't get?" Cassian, who sat across from you, asked, "What I don't get, is how someone as beautiful as you could possibly be single. And, the funny thing is, I also happen to be single, but we can easily change that. How about it, Y/N? Fancy a drink?"
"Oh, I would but... I've already got one. Thanks anyway." You gave him a pretty little smile as you raised your glass before turning back to your conversation with Mor and Amren.
"Better luck next time," You heard Azriel say through a laugh as Rhys ruffled Cassian's hair.
*****
The next time you saw Cassian, he had run into the kitchen at an alarming speed, a slight look of panic in his eyes as you cautiously observed him.
“Y/N, I’m being serious, I need your help,” Your eyes crinkled in concern, “Please. Can I please borrow a kiss? I promise I’ll give it back.”
The faux-panicked look was quickly overtaken by a wide cheesy grin as he leant in towards you.
“Cassian,” You yelled, whacking him with a tea towel, “You prick! I thought something serious happened.”
“Something serious did happen, Y/N. The night we met, and you stole my heart… That alleyway will never be the same after what we shared there.”
You threw the tea towel at him as you stomped out of the room, passing a confused looking Mor, who, upon seeing Cassian standing there with a lovesick grin, rolled her eyes and followed after you.
*****
“I don’t get why you don’t just say yes,” Mor said as you heavily sipped from a glass of wine back at her apartment. “He’s one of the good ones, Y/N. Take away all of the cringy pick-up lines and I think he’s serious about wanting to take you out, he really does like you.”
“It’s not that easy…”
“No? What’s not easy about it?”
You starred at her, not wanting to say what was on your mind. She was just as stubborn though, if not even more so than you, so stared right back with a quirked eyebrow as she waited for your explanation.
Huffing in defeat, you flopped back onto the couch and let out a sigh.
“It’s not easy, Mor, because there’s no point. I leave in a few days so why start something up when it’s not going to last.”
“You don’t have to,” Mor sat herself beside you, wrapping an arm around you as you leant your head on her shoulder, “leave that is. You could stay.”
“Right,” You let out a sharp laugh, “Let me just pack up my whole life and move across Prythian for a guy I’ve known all of ten days.”
“Or,” Mor counted, sending her elbow into her ribs, “You could move across Prythian for your dearest friend who has missed you like crazy and knows that you’re miserable back home. The guy could just be a nice bonus on the side.”
You sat up, staring at your friend as you mulled over her words.
“Move here? Is that allowed? Where would I even live?”
“Yes, it is. I already spoke to Rhys about it, he would love for you to stay, said he’s already got some potential work lined up if you’re interested. And, obviously, you can stay with me until you find your own place.”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.”
Huh. Now that was a thought.
“If I moved, that’s an if, not a yes, it would be for you, not because of…him”.
“I would hope so. Though I’m sure Cassian wouldn’t mind in the slightest.”
The knowing grin and wink she gave you had your cheeks reddening as you lifted a pillow to cover your blush. Mor just pulled you back against her side, knowing that your hesitancy to move was just a front and that you would be packed, moved and settled in Velaris within the week.
*****
It was, technically, your last night in Velaris before you went back home to pack up your belongings. After talking out the logistics with Mor and Rhys, you had excitedly agreed to move and become an official citizen and member of the Night Court.
You had spent the afternoon with Mor looking at potential apartments before making your way to Rita’s for a ‘goodbye’ drink with the rest of the inner circle.
After tossing and turning all of the previous night, you had come to the decision that moving to a new city, a new court, signified the beginning of a new chapter. So why not throw caution to the wind and see how things played out with a certain Illyrian male who was currently standing by himself at the bar while he waited to be served.
“Hey,” You somewhat yelled over the music and laughter of the fae around you.
Cassian did a double-take before dramatically clutching at his chest, “Y/N, it should be illegal to look that good, it’s not fair on the rest of the females here.”
You rolled your eyes, but your usual snarky remark didn’t follow.
“I know our time together is limited,” Cassian continued, the dramatic tone still lacing his voice, “But before you leave us behind, would you at least just grab my hand, just for a moment, so that I can tell everyone I’ve been touched by an angel?”
Shaking your head as he grinned down at you, you relented and grabbed his hand. He was quick to slip his fingers through yours with a satisfied smile.
“I’m not leaving,” You said, very much aware that your fingers were still laced together, “Well, I am. But Mor convinced me to move here, so I’ll be back in a week or so.”
Cassian’s eyebrows shot up, shock settling over his features. Clearly no one had told him of your plans.
“Oh?
“Yep.”
You were interrupted by the bartender as Cassian ordered you both a drink before turning back to you with a quizzical expression.
There was a beat of silence in which your hands were still interlocked, Cassian’s thumb absentmindedly caressing the back of your hand, and you watched one another for a moment, as if seeing each other in a different light.
“Your way of flirting is truly awful, by the way.” You teased with a small smile. With the way Cassian was looking at you, there was no chance of attempting to stop your blush.
“But is it working?
“Maybe…”

Tumblr media
"What are you thinking of, doll?" his deep voice made you look up and blink a few times like you couldn't believe that he was there; back in your arms, so close and so warm. You were slow dancing together with Buck for the past half an hour but you couldn't focus on the moment even though you knew you should. He wasn't back for good. Not yet.
"You've only a few missions left," you bit on your lower lip and he chuckled before leaning in to look deep into your eyes.
"Aw, don't think 'bout it, babe. I left it behind for a few weeks, yes?" he pecked your lips and you tried to smile. "Come on, why the long face?"
"I'm sorry," you sniffled back the tears forming in the corners of your eyes and shook your head.
"Makes me think you're not happy to see me back in town," he teased and spun you around gently before pressing you close to him again. "What? Won't be able to see a loverboy for a while?"
"Don't be stupid, Buck. There ain't no loverboy but you," you chuckled finally and pushed him softly.
"There better not be 'cause I'd have to fix his face right."
"Sure thing, big man," you gave him a wide smile and cupped his face to caress his cheeks. You loved seeing your hands on him. You especially loved seeing your engagment ring on your finger. "You look so handsome in that suit, Cleven."
"That's Major Cleven for you, big mouth," he winked at you and you pulled a face to make him laugh.
"Fetch me something to drink, will you, Major Cleven?" you leaned in to kiss his cheek and asked. "All that dancing made me thirsty."
"Yes, ma'am," he nodded and walked you back to the table that had been occupied by you two before. He grabbed his cap to put it back on his head and approached the bar.
In the meantime, you opened your purse and tried to find a compact mirror with the powder to fix your shining nose and forehead. You didn't notice that some man stood above you. When you were done with your looks, you closed the mirror with a loud pop sound and you almost jumped in your seat at the sound of a tall dark-haired guy that kept staring at you.
"Excuse me?" you asked and looked him up and down. He was wearing a suit like your Buck but he was no Major.
"Um, I'm sorry, I've just noticed a beautiful girl sitting here all by herself and… I thought that, well, uh, I'mma fix that, perhaps…?" he took his cap off and squeezed it nervously with one of his hands as his other one went behind his head to scratch it awkwardly.
"And you are…?" you tried not to laugh at him. He was kind of adorable in that.
"Um… Sergeant… Sergeant Tommy Smith, miss," he introduced himself.
"Sergeant?" you raised an eyebrow. "Have you been to Europe already?"
"No, miss, no, I… I am going soon… It's my last few weeks before I go," he explained and you could see sweat forming upon his forehead. "Can I… Can I perhaps sit down?" he proposed, probably not realizing how bold it was. But he looked like he was about to faint any given moment.
"Sure thing, honey," you moved a little to give him a spot next to you but you tried to find Buck amongst the crowd. You couldn't see him, though, which was no surprise because the place was full of people – airmen, soldiers and their sweethearts... or girls hoping to become sweethearts soon.
"You're so… So kind, miss," Tommy nodded his head at you as he sat next to you. "What are you doing here all alone?"
"Who said I was alone?" you smiled at him and he blushed. "Oh, don't worry, he's not the beating up kind, my man."
Tommy seemed to sigh with relief but then his eyes widened at the sight of someone standing behind you.
"Is… Is that him?"
"Oh, honey, he's not scary at all, my man, he's…" you started with a chuckle but then you turned around and you saw the man that Tommy had been referring to.
It wasn't Buck. He was huge, enormous even. You've never seen an uniform so tight on the muscles like that. And he was tall as well. Wearing sunglasses inside at night type of guy. He was handsome, oh yes, he was. But he had this aura around him as if he had thought that the whole wolrd revolved around him. He was also an airman and he was chewing gum arrogantly.
"Is that kid bothering you, love?" he asked.
"Um… No," you shook your head and tried to find Buck desperately with your eyes but there was still no sight of him. "Not at all," you added.
"I'll g-go now…" Tommy stood up to leave quietly.
"No, don't leave me…" you tried to plead in a whisper but he put his cap back on and disappeared as quickly as he appeared.
So, now you were left with the big guy.
"Finally. These new ones are like pests," he sighed and sat next to you without asking for permission.
"Excuse me…?" you squealed but he only laughed and took his sunglasses off to take a better look at you.
"Why so scared, gorgeous?" he grinned showing off a set of pearly white teeth.
"Care to at least give me your name?" you asked, trying to move as far away as possible while staying discreet.
"Let's say you're about to find out later that night when you're gonna scream it, sugar," he winked at you and you almost gagged.
"Oh, I do believe I already have a name to scream," you stated, deciding that perhaps being as vulgar as him would make him finally get the message. But that was not the case.
"That guy's?" he laughed. "That kid's?"
"No," you shook your head and looked around but Buck wasn't coming.
"Something tells me you're bluffing me, little one," he leaned in and you took a deep breath in, trying to calm yourself down.
"Why would I?" you raised your hand to show him your ring. He hummed and whistled at it.
"Nice piece, baby. But it can mean anything," he insisted. "I think you're just playing hard to get, am I right, sweetheart?"
"Please, I am not interested," you shook your head as he was trying to put his arm around you.
"Why not? You seemed to be interested in the other guy and he was a fucking nobody."
"He was kind… And he wasn't pushy," you tried to get away as he was moving closer and closer.
"What's your name, by the way, sugar?" the man asked.
"Her name is Mrs. Gale Cleven," Buck's familiar, deep and warm voice made you look up as you smiled through the tears of humiliation.
He was standing above you with a drink in his hand and he looked oh-so-pissed like you've never seen him before.
"Shit, man, you mean she's married to that Major Cleven?" the big man let go of you and stood up immediately, grabbing his sunglasses from the table. "Thanks for the heads up, dude. And you are…?"
"Major Gale Cleven, dude," Buck answered angrily and you watched how the creep's smile dropped instantly.
"Oh, there's… There's been some misunderstanding, Major, I… There was a young Sergeant bothering your wife and I…" he started to stutter.
Buck looked at you now and you knew that he wasn't angry at you but his intense bright eyes still caused a chill go down your spine.
"Is that true?" he asked.
"There was a young Sergeant talking to me, I invited him to sit with me. He was friendly," you nodded. "I did not require saving as far as I am concerned… You, on the other hand," you looked at the scared big guy, "you were far from polite and you didn't treat me like a lady at all."
Buck put the glass down loudly in front of you and stared at the guy with contempt as the muscles of his jaw twitched.
"Let's take it outside," he proposed as your eyes widened. Buck was never the type to start a bar fight or anything of that sort. And as much as you believed in your brave Major, you didn't want him to fight that huge man.
"Buck, honey," you stood up to put a hand on his chest, "let him go, he's just drunk. He's not worth getting in trouble."
"I'm sorry Major, I didn't mean to be rude to your wife, sir," the man saluted.
"You only apologize because you know she's my wife. Otherwise you'd keep bothering her," Buck squinted his eyes.
"No, sir."
"Yes, Lieutenant, now get the fuck out of here."
"Sir, yes, sir!" the man saluted for the last time before walking away as fast as possible.
"Buck!" you pushed him gently as your jaw dropped. "Where did you learn such language?"
He didn't answer, however. He sat down, took his cap off and ran his fingers through his hair. You could see his hands shaking from restraining himself. You decided to give him a moment so you just sat down as well and sipped on your drink.
"Thanks for the coke, baby," you whispered eventually.
"You're welcome. The queue was long, sorry 'bout that."
"Oh, no need to be sorry," you caressed his tense arm. "Buck, you're okay?"
"Yeah, um, no," he looked up to meet your gaze and you furrowed your brow. He took your left hand and caressed your knuckles. "We should get married for real."
"I know, baby," you smiled widely, "when you come back to me for good, yes?"
"No, now," he insited all of sudden in a serious tone. "What if I don't come back for good?"
"Oh, don't say that! You've only a few missions left and… And this is supposed to ensure that you come back! God won't let you die when he knows you've a marriage to look forward to!"
"I want you to be safe if I don't come back," he didn't listen to you. "You'll have more privileges as a widow."
"Why are you bringing this up?!" you could feel tears forming in your eyes. "You were the one to tell me to stop thinking about it."
"But that jerk made me realize a thing or two, alright? Shh… Shh…" he cupped your face and kissed you. "Don't you want to be Mrs. Gale Cleven for real, sweetheart?"
"I… I do," you chuckled and nodded.
"God," he sighed and pecked your lips one more time, "thinking of you wearing my surname makes me dizzy more than any turbulence I've ever had to deal with."
"Just you wait and see, Major," you laughed through the tears, "being married to me will be the worst turbulence you'll ever experience."
"I hope that's a promise, doll."

AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 , Part 4,Part 5(final)
Tumblr media
3 weeks had passed since the Sully family took you into their home. Your injury had healed, and little by little you had started to help more in the family home. Because the camp was a rather uncomfortable and small place. Neytiri convinced you to live completely in the family hut, in a way she felt responsible for you. After all she was the one who had found you in the jungle. She also felt that you needed her, so she promised herself to take care of you. Jake didn't mind this, he thought it was adorable… to see neytiri so worried about a girl totally different from them. But he supported his mate's decision, you were a girl who had lost her entire clan. They should help you and make you feel like part of the new clan. Or so they were trying.
The Omaticaya had never interacted with the Na'vi of the cold mountains. They had heard stories, and only a few had seen a few. Your clan was known to be very polite, a bit of a hermit and not very sociable. They were not aggressive, but they did not like to mix with other clans. Besides the physical and social differences. Your clan was different in their way of living. In the last few weeks you could see how everyone did their chores, how the clan lived together. Of course, all this from the door of the hut. You were still a little afraid to go out, you had walked around the hut. But no more than that. You were curious, how you were going to help them. You had to learn to do something. You hadn't noticed, but Kiri had already come closer to you. Sitting down next to you. "Hey…what are you looking at? Are you looking at tarsem?" kiri teased a little. This comment caught the attention of neteyam, who was getting his things ready to go fishing. "Oh no" you laugh nervously, yes you had noticed this guy's presence, but that wasn't what you were looking at.
Neteyam clears his throat, coming over to where you two were sitting. "What are you two talking about?" the boy asks, playing dumb. "mmm nothing…about Y/N. She's spying tarsem, that's bad" kiri continues teasing. "Stop!!!" you push her a little. As your eyes meet neteyam's, he had a forced smile on his face. The last few weeks, ever since you had arrived at the hut. Neteyam has been silently close to you and your baby. Watching you from afar, or sitting closer to you at meal times. Helping you take care of him, or just holding him while you did other things. Making sure everything was okay, of course…all with a low profile. Everyone thought neteyam was being nice and wanted you to feel at home. So did the other members of the family, but you… you knew this was not the case. Neteyam was forgetting that your gift as a seer allowed you to feel and see things that others did not. You didn't know exactly what that feeling was that neteyam radiated when he was around you. But you knew it wasn't something normal…it was something very intense.
"Tarsem is a guy…quite interesting" neteyam speaks with a hint of annoyance in his tone of voice. Playing with your baby, which was in your lap. Kiri laughs again, nudging his brother on the shoulder. "He's interesting…and he's very cute" kiri looks at you, watching you roll your eyes back. "I'm not looking at him…I'm looking at that" you point to the group of women who were separating some fruit. Others were making baskets. "Ahh they're just picking fruit" speaks neteyam.
"They didn't do that in my clan…in the cold there are no fruit trees" you say, while still looking at the group of women. Kiri and neteyam stand silently looking at each other. "No fruit? So what did you eat?" asks Kiri. "Meat…and some berries and herbs" you smile awkwardly. You watch the look on kiri's face turn to one of sadness. "It must be very sad," says Kiri. You laugh and settle closer to neteyam. "It's no big deal… my clan was located in the area where there are many storms. So these foods are perfect for survival" you try to explain to them, but you could still see the anguish in their eyes. If it could be a bit depressing, you could occasionally enjoy some fruits that survived in the cold snow. But you were used to it. "But… I'm glad to be here, I've eaten a lot of fruits and I love them" you smile shyly. Noticing how neteyam was literally glued to your side. Your arm was bumping against his. After a short silence, neteyam had an idea.
"Why don't you come with me to get some fruits?" asks neteyam, placing his hand on your thigh. You bristle under his touch, he doesn't know what he's doing to you. Of course, he couldn't feel what you could, it was all too intense. "I'd like to…but" you lower your gaze, watching as your baby played with one of your braids. Braids that Neytiri had made for you the night before. Kiri steps up, and takes the baby in her arms. "I'll take care of him…it will be good for you to go for a walk" says Kiri. You think about it for a moment, but agree. Herwì had just turned 2 months old, so he was a little easier to take care the baby. You stare at Kiri for a moment, you swear you can hear a voice saying "he'll be fine". You panic a little, they turn your head. "Everything okay?" kiri asks, you try to laugh. "Yeah, yeah….esta fine, if anything happens you look me for me" you agree. Watching as neteyam gets up from the floor, going to get some baskets.
"So what are we waiting for….let's go" neteyam says, placing his hand on your back guiding you. You give a last to kiri and then walk out of the hut. The further you walked, the more surprised you became. Not only by the differences between the na'vi. But by the amount of humans walking normally, it made you a little nervous. You knew that everyone got along well, and that these humans were not dangerous, even your instinct told you that you shouldn't be afraid. But still… you felt fear. "How about we go to my ikran, what do you think?" neteyam asks you, trying to distract you. "Really?" you sound excited, ever since you had seen the ikran you wanted to ride them. A couple more minutes and you are ahead of the ikran. You grab the creature's head. Neteyam is silent, watching his ikran go calm under your touch.
"You are precious" you whisper, closing your eyes. Neteyam's ikran becomes even quieter, just as you touch it. You could feel its heartbeat, you look up, staring into the animal's eyes. "You haven't named it, why?" you look at neteyam, who had already walked beside you. "Ahh I don't know… I didn't think he wanted a name" says neteyam laughing a little. Holding up the baskets. "Well yes…you should" you speak. "I should" there is a small pause between the two of you. "Ok…all set" neteyam climbs into his ikran, inviting you. You take his hand, and he helps you get comfortable. "Hold me tight" neteyam says, as you wrap your arms around his waist. Holding you tightly, so that the ikran begins to fly.
The view was so beautiful. The mountains, the wildlife. The clouds that adorned the tops of the trees. Neteyam was silent, noticing how you were relaxing. Just as you were gaining altitude, in the distance you could see what had once been your home, Neteyam's eyes opened wide. You could see the large area that had been burned. As smoke billowed from the burned trees and floated up to the heights. Neteyam can feel your grip getting tighter. He moves one of his hands, to touch yours. Which was now on his chest, giving it a squeeze. "That was my home" you speak, laying your head on his back. Neteyam holds your hand tighter. "I'm sorry…I'm so sorry" neteyam feels you settle more on his back hugging him, he knew you were looking for some comfort. Neteyam has never seen first-hand what the brutal loss of his clan was like. Neytiri and Jake only talked superficially about it. Sure, he had seen destruction. But the destruction of this magnitude never. And that you had experienced it firsthand, it broke his heart. He felt bad…knowing that his mother had to suffer as much as you did. Or worse.
Neteyam diverts his ikran a bit, to take another route, and so get away from the area. After flying for a while, you both land on a branch. You cautiously climb down from the beast, while Neteyam begins to place several baskets on his shoulder. "I told you that I'm not very good at climbing?" you say, looking down at the ground. "No? Why?" neteyam comes to your side, looking at your worried face. "Well… I didn't have the need to climb trees. I was just…walking" you feel yourself getting a little dizzy, seeing the height of the tree to the ground. Neteyam holds you by the arm. "Oh I understand…mmm climb on my back" says neteyam, bending down to be more below your height. You move closer, hugging his neck. Feeling neteyam's hands wrap around your thighs, pulling you up onto his back in one swift movement. "Hold on tight," neteyam says.
"You're not going to let go…are you?" neteyam can feel how nervous you are, you're shaking a little. And your tail was thumping his hands. "No…but if you want me to release you to the ground" neteyam jokes with you loosening his grip a little. You scream and hug him tighter. "Just kidding… calm down" neteyam starts to climb down the tree carefully, it wasn't very tall. So you reached the ground quickly. Carefully releasing you on the ground, making sure you were okay.
"Well…that wasn't so bad" you speak, adjusting several pieces of your top. You were still getting used to how revealing these clothes felt. Neteyam comes over, and adjusts a piece. Carefully, checking to make sure it was in the right place. You stand still, noticing how carefully he touched you and cared for you. So different…so kind. Making your heart clench. "If we follow this path…there are some trees that have the best fruits" neteyam speaks, he was so close to you. You could see all his expressions, and how his little ears moved as he tried to find his way through the jungle. Taking your hand, to start walking. You don't complain, you let him guide you. After walking for a while, about 6 minutes. You get to where the trees were. They were all full of yellow and red fruits.
"It's harvest time…I know you're going to love them," says neteyam, watching you walk away. To get closer and investigate the fruits further. They were so strange to you, Neytiri was bringing another type of fruit to eat..this one was bigger and brighter. "These days are supposed to start picking this fruit…look" neteyam plucks a fruit from the tree, and offers it to you. He gestures with his mouth for you to bite into the fruit. You laugh a little, it looked funny. You take it, and take a bite. Enjoying the new texture, taste and smell you were experiencing. Your ears perk up, and your tail starts wagging fast. "You like it, don't you? It tastes wonderful" neteyam asks, munching on a fruit. "This…is delicious" you speak with your mouth full. Neteyam laughs, he thought it was adorable to see you discovering something new for the first time. You both sit on the ground, laying your back on a log. Eating more fruit, while Neteyam told you all about the fruit. He told you that this was not the only fruit there was, that there were hundreds of them and how they should be harvested and cared from them. You listened to him very attentively, surprised that there was such a variety of fruit.
After a while, the two of you started talking about anything and everything. Until the subject of your baby came up. Neteyam was curious. Since you didn't talk about your mate, usually couples talked about their mates. Even if they had died, they still remembered their memory. You had barely mentioned it once. Now you were sitting, eating another piece of fruit. Neteyam cleared his throat and spoke. "Y/N…I have a question?" you could tell the nervousness in his tone of voice. You respond with a "Hmm?" but continue eating your fruit. "I wanted to ask you something about …. the father of your baby" speaks neteyam. He notices how you have stopped eating, and you put the fruit in your lap. You look up, to see neteyam. "I've noticed that you hardly talk about him, and…" you interrupt neteyam.
"seyey was one of the strongest hunters in the whole clan, at such a young age he had a lot of experience. He had earned the respect of the entire clan. Including my father…the clan chief" you pause. So you were the clan chief's daughter, now it all made sense. "I guess…he wanted you to be with him," says neteyam. You nod your head in agreement. "He thought seyey was the perfect mate. Our clan thinks about preserving our lineage, it must be pure. So as soon as we came of age, we united before eywa" you spoke with your eyes on the ground. Neteyam didn't want to say anything, he could see how uncomfortable this topic made you. "The only thing that came out enjoyable, was my son herwì… we were unhappy together". "I'm sorry for everything…" neteyam put his hand on your back. "My father only wanted the clan lineage to stay intact…no matter what I really wanted. He wasn't a bad father, but he didn't listen to me" you speak.
"And what did you want to do?" asks Neteyam, trying to cheer you up a bit. You blush a little, a little embarrassed. "I wanted to be a slinth rider" you speak, neteyam is a little shocked. The slinth were dangerous creatures. "Those creatures are not from the jungle?… they are also very dangerous" neteyam notices how you laugh. "Yes…but the ones found in the cold mountains are another type of slinth…they are just like me" you laugh, taking a bite of fruit. "You can still be a rider…if that's what you want" speaks neteyam. You let out a sigh. "Well…what's done is done. There's nothing I can do about it. Besides…I think I know why I'm here" you tap neteyam on the shoulder.
"Really? And what's that reason?" neteyam moves closer to you. Wiggling playfully. "mmm I can't tell you" you change your face, laughing a little. "Come on…tell me!" speaks neteyam in a soft but at the same time playful tone. The atmosphere had become more peaceful, you both started to laugh. You knew what the reason was, you had a feeling that the reason why he had come to this clan. It was because of neteyam…because of the dream you had of him. Now you just had to find out what was the reason for your encounter with him. You two were so wrapped up in your own world that you didn't hear someone approaching. Neteyam was the first to notice the noises, there wasn't supposed to be anyone in the harvest area yet. Rising to stand in front of you, you carefully stand up.
Neteyam pulls out his knife, ready to strike at anything. But he immediately relaxed when he heard his brother's voice. What the hell is lo'ak doing here, Neteyam thinks. "Don't worry…it's lo'ak" neteyam lowers his weapon, watching as the voice continues to get closer. Out of the bushes comes lo'ak who was talking carelessly next to spider. You let out a low cry, and move quickly behind neteyam. Hugging his arm. "What's that 'thing' doing here?" you sound scared, you had seen the humans. But from far away. You had never seen one so close. "This 'thing' is spider…it's good" lo'ak says trying to calm you down. "Yeah…I don't bite" says spider, laughing a little. Everyone knew what you had been through, so this was a very normal reaction. "I see you" spider gestures with his hands, and you copy his greeting. Looking at neteyam, but not taking off from him. "I promise I won't hurt you…I'm good" spider felt somewhat responsible, even though he hadn't done anything to you.
Lo'ak had talked about you, the last few days. And he was fascinated to meet you. An albino na'vi and from the cold mountains. That sounded wonderful. "You've met norm?…you'd blow his head off" spider jokes a little. But your face turns to horror again. "no…I don't want to blow anyone up" you yell a little, whining. The three boys laugh out loud. "Babe..no. He says norm would be impressed with you. He just said a human quote" neteyam explains to you. "I'm sorry" spider apologizes. He doesn't want to scare you. "And you were doing here?" neteyam asks. Lo'ak points to the fruit in his hand. "Same as you guys…but without the romantic atmosphere" lo'ak scoffs. Neteyam laughs uncomfortably. "Why don't we go back to camp?" neteyam looks at you, and can see that she was still frightened by spider's presence. "Yes…I want to go back" you squeeze neteyam's arm tighter. You two begin your walk back to neteyam's ikran. Hearing the giggles of the boys. "Ignore them…yes?" neteyam takes your hand. You take another look and follow neteyam. "She's…she's very impressive" says spider. "I know…I've never seen anyone like that" says lo'ak.
Near the cold mountains…
"Sir…we've looked everywhere and nothing" says one of the warriors. The man clears his throat, holding back tears from his eyes. He could not look weak in front of his warriors. "Make a scan in the southern area, closer to the village" says the man. The warriors quickly look at each other with concern. "But sir… the humans may be nearby and" the man slaps the ground. "I gave an order!!!" the man shouts, all the young warriors get up and leave the cave.
"Father…I don't think we're going to find her" says a younger boy. The man strokes the back of his neck, letting a tear come out of his eye. This situation was killing him, he had to find her. "tekxe…we have to find your sister. I have a feeling she's still alive" says your father. Eywa always protects his chosen ones.

"Sweetheart, the place looks fine!"
You unplugged the hoover as you stood up, your hair tussled while Quinn carefully approached you. Your nerves were shot from the moment you'd found out that the entirety of the Hughes family was coming to stay for the weekend. Jack and Luke would be flying in around one o'clock in the afternoon whilst Jim and Ellen would only be arriving at nine that night.
To say you were stressed would be an understatement.
Due to the fact you'd only been dating Quinn for almost a year, you'd only briefly met his parents and brothers over FaceTime. Quinn had opted to spend Christmas with you and Evie instead of going home so when his parents and brothers had suggested to come visit two months later, he brought up the idea to you and you'd agreed immediately.
Despite being ridiculously anxious about meeting his parents and family, you knew how important it was for Quinn to see his family.
"It's dusty," you eventually huffed, pushing a stray hair behind your ear, groaning in frustration as it fell back in front of your face. Hot tears welled in your eyes as Quinn stepped closer, his hands cupping your face, one pushing back your hair for you.
"The place is spotless," he assured you, trying to ease the nerves he knew were beginning to overspill. "Why don't you go check on Evie and I'll finish off this, hm?"
"What if they don't like me?" You whispered almost shamefully, your head ducking. It felt like a rather childish thing to ask, but the answer haunted you. It had haunted you since Quinn had first brought up his family.
Quinn cracked a smile, a soft chuckle breaking through his lips as he tilted your chin up gently with his thumb. "They're going to adore you, just like I do. Trust me, you've got nothing to worry about," he said with unwavering confidence.
You couldn't help but let out a small laugh, despite the knot of anxiety still twisting in your stomach. Quinn had this way of making everything seem a little less daunting, a little more manageable.
"Okay," you relented, giving him a grateful smile. "I'll go check on Evie then." Quinn pressed a kiss to your lips as you moved around him, handing the hoover to him.
As you made your way to Evie's room, you couldn't shake off the nervous energy entirely, but Quinn's words echoed in your mind, providing a sense of comfort. Deep down, you knew he was right...but what if he wasn't? What if they thought you were some gold digger or some kind of manipulator? You'd heard both insults so many times from the moms at Evie's preschool and comments online, the thought made the tears return to your eyes.
Entering Evie's room, you found her surrounded by her toys, her face lighting up as soon as she saw you. "Mama!" she exclaimed, reaching out her arms for a hug. You scooped her up, burying your face in her soft curls, feeling a sense of calm wash over you.
"Jack and Luke are going to be here soon," You explained softly, rocking your girl in your arms as she fiddled with your hair. You smoothed down her multicoloured tutu with a smile. "You dress yourself, baby?" Evie hummed happily and lifted her head from your shoulder.
"Princess skirt," She said rather solemnly causing you to mimic her seriousness.
"Oh, I agree, very nice choice," You nodded, kissing her nose as she scrunched it, her tiny hands against your cheeks.
As you carried Evie into the living room, Quinn was diligently tidying up, a determined look on his face. He glanced up as you and Evie approached, a warm smile spreading across his features.
"Hey, you two," he greeted, his voice filled with affection. "How's my favourite duo doing?" Evie giggled in response, her tiny arms reaching out towards Quinn from your arms. "Up!"
Quinn chuckled, lifting Evie into his arms effortlessly. "Sure thing, sweetheart," he replied, pressing a kiss to her cheek before setting her down on the couch to crouch in front of her. "I love the princess skirt."
Evie looked towards you almost pointedly as you shook your head in amusement. With a glance at the clock, you realised it was almost time for Jack and Luke's arrival. Your heart fluttered nervously, but you pushed aside your worries, focusing on the excitement of finally meeting Quinn's brothers face to face.
As the minutes ticked by, the sound of a knock from the hall caught your attention. Quinn glanced at you, a reassuring smile on his lips. "Here we go," he murmured, squeezing your hand gently. He stood up and looked at you with a calm grin. "Breathe, y/n/n, they'll love you."
You took a deep breath, summoning all the courage you could muster as Quinn made his way towards the door. With Quinn by your side and Evie's hand in yours, you approached the door, ready to welcome the Hughes family into your home and into your heart.
You heard them before you saw them. Jack and Luke's cheers as Quinn greeted them, echoed through the big apartment causing Evie to jump at the noise, her hand pulling away from yours to run towards the sound in curiosity. You watched as her little feet padded towards the hall and the sight alone pulled you toward her.
"Oh, hello!"
As you turned the corner to the hall your eyes instantly landed on Jack and Luke both of whom had bent down to face Evie, who had tucked herself near Quinn's side.
"Hi there, sweetheart!" Jack exclaimed, his voice warm and friendly as he reached out to ruffle Evie's hair gently. "What's your name?" You were well aware that Jack knew your daughter's name but was more than likely doing this whole charade to put her at ease.
Evie's cheeks flushed pink with shyness as she glanced up at the towering figures of Jack and Luke. She took a hesitant step back, her fingers curling around the hem of her princess skirt. "Evie," she mumbled softly, barely audible and so different from the vivacious toddler you knew.
Luke's eyes softened as he knelt to Evie's level, offering her a gentle smile. "Evie?...that's a pretty name," he said, his tone gentle and reassuring. "My name's Luke, and this is Jack."
Evie peeked up at them, her eyes wide with curiosity and a hint of timidness. She hesitated for a moment before offering a shy smile in return. "Hi," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jack and Luke exchanged a glance, their expressions softening as they exchanged a silent understanding. They could sense Evie's shyness and were determined to make her comfortable.
"We heard you were here so we got you a little something" Jack spoke, his voice delicate as he gestured to a small bag atop the boys' luggage.
"For me?" Evie's eyes lit up with excitement at the mention of a possible, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. You watched with your lip between your teeth as she nodded eagerly, her shyness momentarily forgotten as she took the bag from Jack's hand, her grip tiny yet determined.
Quinn watched the interaction with a fond smile, his heart swelling with affection for both Evie and his brothers. He knew how nervous you had been about meeting his family, especially for Evie, but seeing them interact so seamlessly warmed his heart.
"Ted, Mom, Ted!" Evie brandished the soft brown teddy in the air, gesturing it towards you. Jack and Luke's eyes finally met your own, their smiles widening as Jack straightened up and approached you.
"Thanks for getting him to agree to us coming," Jack commented, rolling his eyes at Quinn who whacked his shoulder. "It's nice to finally meet you in person." Before you could answer, he pulled you into a swift hug.
"Nice to meet you—you too Luke," you smiled sheepishly, glancing towards the youngest Hughes. "Evie and I couldn't wait any longer, she loves watching you guys play."
Jack looked back at Evie, who was playing with her teddy already with Luke. "We didn't want to come empty-handed," he scratched his head awkwardly. You looked down at Evie with a fond smile as Luke chatted away animatedly with her.
"She loves it," you reassured him, glancing at the teddy clutched between her shirt fingers. "You and Luke are bunking in Evie's room tonight if that's alright? She's going to crash with us."
"Room?" Evie's narrowed eyes shot towards you. You watched as Quinn picked her up with a soft chuckle.
"Yeah, bug," Quinn hummed, "Jack and Luke have to stay in your room for the weekend, which means," he drawled out his words, tickling Evie's stomach as she giggled. "—you get to have a sleepover with us!"
"Show Giant room!" Evie suddenly burst, jumping in Quinn's arms, her hands pointed toward Luke. Jack, Quinn, and you all stifled your laughter at Evie's nickname for the youngest Hughes.
Luke took Evie from his brother's arms, letting her cling to him. "You can show me your room," he nodded, as Evie began to babble. Evie chattered excitedly as she pointed Luke down the hallway to her room, her tiny hand clutching his finger as if he were her lifeline. You followed behind as Quinn and Jack talked amongst each other. A smile tugged at your lips as you watched the two of them bond almost effortlessly, with both of them sporting a cheery smile.
"Wow, this is a pretty big room you've got here, Evie," Luke remarked, his eyes scanning the colourful decorations adorning the walls and the toys that had been tidied to make room for a blow-up mattress as well as a camp bed.
"Sorry about the bed situation," You grimaced, "Your mom and dad have dibs on the spare room."
"I don't mind," Luke told you, shooting you a grateful glance as Evie tugged at his curls to get his attention.
Evie pointed proudly, her chest puffed out with pride. "My room," she declared, pointing to various toys and stuffed animals scattered around the room. "And Giant Luke room now!"
Luke chuckled, his heart melting at Evie's innocence and enthusiasm. "That's right," he agreed with a grin, ruffling her hair affectionately. "I'm honoured to stay here, Your Majesty."
Evie giggled, her eyes sparkling with joy as she wrapped her arms around Luke's neck in a tight hug. "Funny Giant!" she exclaimed, her laughter echoing through the room.
As you watched the two of them play, a sense of warmth filled your heart. Despite your initial worries about how Evie would react to Quinn's family, it was clear that she had already formed a special bond with Luke. And seeing them interact so naturally and happily together filled you with a sense of gratitude and relief.
"Looks like you've made a new friend," you remarked with a smile, stepping closer to Luke and Evie.
Luke nodded, his eyes shining with affection as he looked down at Evie. "I think I have," he said softly, his voice filled with warmth. "She's quite the little charmer, isn't she?"
You chuckled, nodding in agreement. "She definitely has a way of winning people over," you grinned fondly, reaching out to ruffle Evie's hair. Quinn and Jack's voice grew closer as they entered the room,
"Looks like you two are getting along well," Quinn observed with a grin as he entered the room, followed by Jack who was sporting a playful smirk.
"Yeah, Luke's already been crowned 'Funny Giant'," you chuckled, watching as Evie giggled and hugged Luke tightly.
Jack let out a hearty laugh, clapping Luke on the back. "Sounds about right," he joked, shooting a fond glance at his brother and the little girl. "Looks like we've got a few new members of the family, eh?"
Quinn smiled, his eyes reflecting the happiness that filled the room as your heart swelled with joy. "Looks like it," he agreed, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close. "And I couldn't be happier."
You leaned into Quinn's embrace, feeling a sense of contentment wash over you. Despite your initial nerves and worries, it seemed that everything was falling into place beautifully. And as you looked around at the smiling faces of your newfound family, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and warmth that surrounded you.
With the Hughes family settling in for the weekend, you knew that there would be plenty of laughter, love, and memories to be made. And as you watched Evie playfully chase Luke around the room, you couldn't help but feel excited for the adventures that lay ahead.
As the evening turned into night, you tucked Evie into her smaller bed that had been pushed into your room, her eyes heavy with sleep as she clutched her new teddy tightly. Quinn stood by your side, his hand intertwined with yours as you watched over your daughter with a sense of love and gratitude.
"Goodnight, princess," you whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to Evie's forehead.
"Night, Mama," Evie mumbled sleepily, her eyes fluttering closed as she snuggled into her pillow.
With a smile, you turned off the light and quietly closed the door behind you, leaving Evie to drift off into dreams filled with laughter and love. As you made your way back to the living room, you found Quinn waiting for you, a soft smile on his lips.
"Everything okay?" he asked, wrapping his arms around you in a comforting embrace.
You nodded, leaning into his embrace. . "I think this weekend is going to be okay,” you replied, pressing a kiss to Quinn's lips.
Quinn smiled, his eyes filled with love and happiness. "I think so too," he agreed, squeezing your hand gently. "And hey, whatever happens, I’ve got you, alright?"
You smiled back, feeling a sense of peace settle over you. "Alright," you said softly, leaning into Quinn's embrace. "We've got each other."
With that, you settled into the embrace of the man you loved, knowing that no matter what the weekend brought, you would face it together, as a family. And as you closed your eyes, your face buried into the nape of his neck, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and happiness that filled your home.

Hey can you write a long story about pablo gavi finding out the reader is pregnant with his baby and when his friends find out they celebrate by a party?
We're Having A Baby
Pablo Gavi x Reader
tw-none i don't think
You had known for about a week now having taken a test when you missed your period for the second month in a row. Your heart had burst when you saw the positive result, you and Pablo had been trying for ages to have a baby and you were finally pregnant.
You didn't want to do anything too big to tell your boyfriend so you brought a mini Barca shirt with papa written on the back and laid it out on the table with the positive pregnancy test next to it.
When he got home from training he searched for you until he found you grinning in the kitchen. He looked at you confused until he spotted your surprise on the counter, moving closer to see what it was.
You saw the cogs turning in his brain for a minute before he looked up at you with tears lining his eyes.
"You're pregnant? We're having a baby?"
You nodded your head, tears springing to your eyes as well as he moved over to you and wrapped you in his arms, body shaking as tears escaped his eyes.
He pulled back to look at you, love and pride shining in his eyes as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"I'm going to take care of you, okay baby? You don't need to worry about anything, we're in this together I'll be by your side every step of the way my love."
He gets down on his knees before you and grins, planting kisses all over your flat stomach, excitement brewing as he thinks about you having a little baby bump.
"Hey little one, I'm your dad. Me and your mamma already love you so so much, we're gunna look after you. Please don't give your mamma a hard time okay? She means a lot to me and I don't want her to be sick."
You both spend the rest of the day cuddling on the couch, Pablo cradling you against his chest, and talking about all the things you need to get and how much your life is going to change.
The day after, Gavi let his teammates know about the news before you guys posted it on social media, the lads were all overjoyed for you guys.
And so they planned you guys a little party for a week later, a get-together of all Pablo's teammates and their partners, and also getting in contact with your families and bringing them along as well.
You and Gavi were so excited to have everyone you love all together in one room, the smiles on your faces never leaving as they all showered you with gifts for your baby and their loving words.
Gavi didn't leave your side the whole time, and arm wrapped around your waist, stroking at your side as you spoke to someone about your recent bouts of morning sickness.
Your heart swelled as he spoke to your parents about all the things he had bought and how he'd started baby-proofing the house already. You couldn't be happier to be having a baby with Pablo and you were so excited to see him become a dad to your little one.

Hello all, the Mystery Shop translations branch will be opened once more.
Thank you for all the kind comments I received wishing me well while I was gone! It was a mixture of work and family, so not as much of a break as I would have liked, but a good one nonetheless. My intended schedule ended a little earlier than I expected, so I was able to knock out a few obligations here and there before coming back officially. But here's to say that I'll be working on and posting translations again starting next week. I'll begin with the requests I received while I was gone, with newer events interspersed as they come. I have updated the list in my pinned post with the request list. I know there are a few lore questions in my inbox as well that I will try to get to when I can. Some are easier to put together than others, so I appreciate the patience!

Hiiii! So I don’t usually put in requests but I read your fic where Hobie is trying to get to know secretive Y/N- and since Y/N was said to have never took off their mask, I was wondering if you could write about that same secretive Y/N finally showing their face?
Writing requests even when anon is spooky 😭
This is a great addition to the original fic, thank you for requesting!! <3

A/N: Sorry it's taking me so long to get to requests, midterms are kicking my ass 😭. I swear I'll try to get the rest of the requests in my inbox out as soon as I can <3
___________________________________________________________
"Earth-138, right?"
"Tha's the place"
You typed in the coordinates onto your dimensional watch, before snapping your wrist towards the area in front of you, opening up the portal that would take you into Hobie's dimension.
You'd been trying to convince him to take you to his dimension since you'd met him, curious about where he came from. After spending the past week constantly hearing about the 'corrupted government' and the 'wanking pigs' that ruled there, you were even more interested in seeing the place with your own eyes.
You stepped through the portal, falling into what must've been Hobie's house- well, not necessarily a house. Were they on a boat?
"What the-" you looked out the window to see that his house was situated on a body of water, probably some sort of lake or canal. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell ya-" he said as he jumped through his own portal, landing in front of you and taking in your surprised expression. "-I stay on this houseboat here."
He gave the wall a pat, smiling before he looked back at you. "Her name's Stella."
"Why Stella?"
He shrugged, shoving his hands into the pockets of his vest before approaching you sheepishly. "I liked the name."
You snorted under your breath, rolling your eyes at him before taking another glance around. "So...you gonna show me around? Or am I just gonna stand here awkwardly?"
"Right, right-" he said quickly, beginning to walk towards what you guessed was his bedroom. His eyes widened for a moment before he looked back at you. "...wait out here for a moment. Jus' needa tidy some things up" he disappeared behind the door, leaving you standing in the hallway, arms folded across your chest.
You couldn't help but smile slightly under your mask. As you leaned back against the wall, you realized that you were feeling a little stuffy. It would've been much more comfortable to take off your mask, but you decided against it.
Why let him see your face? It wasn't important. It's not like seeing your face would matter...or did it? What if he thought you looked weird? What if there was something about your face he didn't like? Why take off the mask when there was so much that could go wrong?
"Overthinking at its finest" you scoffed to yourself, embarrassed by the thoughts running through your mind. "Pathetic."
The door swung open and you jumped, turning your attention to a slightly sweaty Hobie, who'd obviously just spent the last few minutes hurriedly tossing his mess to the side. "Come in." he said with a lopsided grin, gesturing for you to walk in.
His room was...amazing. It was like walking into a different world. There wasn't an bit of blank on the wall, every square inch being covered by some sort of poster, most of them being of various bands and artists, one of them being who you assumed was his universe's Gwen Stacy, with blonde spikes and a drumstick in her hand.
In the corner was his spectacular electric guitar, adorned in all the random stickers he'd found over the years, and next to it were various other instruments, a bass guitar, an acoustic guitar, even a ukulele next to his own set of drumsticks.
He looked over your shoulder, leaning in slightly. "So? What d'ya think?" he asked quietly, enjoying your surprise. "It's...awesome." you said softly, glancing over at him.
"It's a little messy-" he kicked a magazine under his bed, hiding it from your view, "-but it's...well, it's me."
"inconsistent?" You asked sarcastically, shooting him a sly grin.
"You could say that." he laughed, bouncing down onto his bed, that you were surprised he could even sleep in considering his size compared to its. Probably an old bed.
"You ready to see the outside world now?" he asked with an eyebrow raise, waiting for you to finish staring at all his magazines. "Uh, yeah. Sure." you replied, making your way back towards the door.
Suddenly, his arm pulled you back, preventing your from leaving. "Woah, woah, you're not going out like that!" He had a cocky look on his face, tilting his head. "Excuse me?" You asked him confusedly, staring up at his mischievous grin.
"I'm telling you, if you go out dressed like a superhero, you'll be shot on sight." he tapped his chin in a mocking way before glancing back at you. "I wonder what we can do to prevent that..."
Realizing what he was getting at, you took a step back, tone turning annoyed. "I won't let myself get shot." you said harshly. "I'm Spider-man."
"Yeah, but you won't exactly be able to enjoy anything either, eh?" he replied, ignoring your hesitation. "Come on, let's just be normal civilians for a little while hmm? Whad'ya say?"
"This is all just a ploy to get me to take off my mask, isn't it?" you groaned, looking away from him and shaking your head. "Depends. Is it working?"
"I'm not gonna do it."
"Come on!"
"Not happening."
"Just for a little while. It's not like you're horribly disfigured or somet'ing, right? It'll be fine!" He was pleading at this point, too curious to let go of his chance to see your face. After all, he'd been planning this out for a while. Since he'd met you just a week or two ago, he'd decided that he'd make it his goal to see your face one day, and now...he was so close.
He didn't know why he wanted to know what you looked like so badly. It's not like it would really matter. His curiosity however, outweighed the impulse control, and he found himself completely obsessed with what you might look like under there.
You were probably gorgeous.
"Please? I promise, it'll be fun!"
"I don't want to." you replied softly, biting the inside of your cheek and folding your arms over your chest. "Why not?" He matched your tone, leaning down slightly to see you eye to eye.
"I just...I don't know..." you hesitated, looking back at him. He looked so welcoming, reassuring smile on his face, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes...he wouldn't judge. You knew he wouldn't.
So you decided, for the first time since you'd joined the Spider Society, to show him your face.
He stared, eyes wide.
You flinched slightly, barely able to make eye contact, mask in your hand as you cowered under his gaze. It was so...awkward, for lack of a better word. You didn't know how to react to his scanning.
He continued to stare.
"Hello?" You waved your hand in his face, a slight smile appearing on yours. "You there?"
"hi." he replied, his voice breathy and his gaze unwavering. "You're....you're-" he stuttered.
"not what you expected?" you asked quietly, face falling.
"Perfect."
You looked back up at him, eyebrows furrowing in disbelief. "You're joking. Stop playing with me-"
"Wow" he interrupted, standing up straight, a wide grin on his face. "Just...bloody hell, you're gorgeous."
"Can you shut up?" you laughed, shoving his arm. He caught your arm, pulling you towards him slightly. "You know, I think the wait was worth it." he said quietly, unable to suppress the bashful smile spreading across his face. "You're even more perfect than I'd have expected, love."
"You're funny." you replied, shaking your head. "Now can we go-?"
"Yeah, yeah, we'll go. After I stare at you for just a few more minutes."
"Are you being serious?" You asked with a raised eyebrow, holding back a laugh.
"I'm being dead serious. You better never put that bloody mask on in front of me again, you hear?" he said, chuckling under his breath. "I wanna see this face every day from now on."
"Whatever you say" you replied sarcastically, rubbing the back of your neck in an attempt to stop the heat from spreading across your face.
"Actually, you know what'd be even better? If I'm the only one in the entirety of HQ to know what you look like." his eyes widened slightly. "That's right...yeah! I'm the only one that gets to see this pretty face from now on, a'right?"
You laughed softly. "You're the only one I'd trust to see it anyways."

men and minors dni
cherry's sitting on your couch, eating your food, laughing at you as you emerge from your room with a lingerie set she insisted you put on.
you sigh. "i look ridiculous." you huff. she snorts.
"you look like you just learned what sex is." she says, shoving more chips in her mouth. you groan.
"why are you even here? just gonna insult me?" you ask. she giggles then stands from her perch, approaching you.
"i'm here to help you get ready for your hot date. i know the sexiest thing you own are those granny panties-- you need some serious help." she says as she approaches you. you groan.
"i have sexy shit!" cherry raises an eyebrow at you, and you huff. "okay, fine." you mumble, waving her toward you. she laughs, and starts adjusting the lacy black two piece set on your body.
she tightens the straps, then adjusts your tits until they're sitting higher up on your chest. she pushes your shoulders back, turns you around, gives your exposed ass a quick smack, and then laughs when you jump.
"you actually don't look half bad, mom." she says. she walks past you toward your bedroom, laughing at the outfit you have laid out on your bed. "this is what you're wearing?"
"what's wrong with it?" you ask, walking in beside her. she laughs.
"blue jeans and a sweater? what-- she's taking you to the library or something?"
you groan. "fuck off! what am i supposed to wear?"
"i dunno mom, something that shows off those tits of yours! or your ass. or that slutty waist you got." she says as she throws open your closet door, rifling through your clothes.
"i don't remember asking you over." you say as you sit on your bed. cherry looks over her shoulder at you.
"you didn't have to. you help me get sexy all the time, now it's time for me to help you." she says. you chuckle and roll your eyes. cherry gasps, pulling a red dress out of your closet. "where the hell did this come from?" she asks. you shrug.
"remember when kelli got married?" you ask. cherry groans and nods. "i was a bridesmaid." you say. she laughs.
"god-- they were married for what, like three weeks?"
"two weeks and a day." you correct her. "it was a great fucking wedding though." you say. cherry snorts.
"i don't remember any of it i was so fucking drunk." she says as she throws the dress at you. "try it on." she demands.
you stand and slip the dress on, turning to have cherry zip up the back. she whistles when she's done, eyeing you up and down as she licks her lips.
"sevika's gonna love it." she says. you sigh.
"sevika's gonna be sorely disappointed if we go on a second date and i show up in my usual get up."
"i'll lend you a couple of slutty shirts." cherry says. you laugh.
"no thanks. we have very different measures of slutty." you tease your friend. she groans.
"you're such a prude. where are your shoes?" she asks. you laugh again and lead cherry to your living room, where your shoes are piled up by your front door. cherry frowns down at the pile, sighing, before she picks up a plain pair of black sneakers. "these will have to do. it's too bad we're different shoe sizes." she sighs.
"what, so i could break my fucking leg on some of those pleasers of yours? that'd be great for a first date, don't you think? making her chaperone me to the hospital?"
"if you're lucky-- you won't be walking at all." she says, smirking. "your feet'll be in the air all night." she teases. you laugh.
"a girl can dream, i guess." you say. cherry snorts.
"oh please, sevika's obsessed with you. i'd be surprised if you guys make it past appetizers before she's dragging you back to her place." she says. you roll your eyes.
"right." you say sarcastically. cherry scoffs.
"i'm serious! you know she came in today looking for you? you shoulda seen how fuckin' bummed she looked when i told her you had the day off."
you smile, something fluttering in your stomach.
"and i couldn't even talk her into staying for a dance, mom. i think she's really crushing on you."
you laugh and nudge your friend.
"okay, okay, get outta here, i gotta get ready." you say.
"what, you won't let me help you with your makeup?" she asks. you shake your head no.
"i do all of you guys' makeup in the club-- how hard can it be to do it on my own face?" you ask.
"whatever you say, mom." cherry says, wrapping you into her arms and pressing a kiss to your cheek. "good luck tonight." she says. you hug her back.
"thanks cher-bear." you say. she giggles then pulls away, pulling your front door open and waving over her shoulder.
"see you tomorrow!" she calls over her shoulder. you wave to her.
"be safe walkin' home." you call. she nods.
"yeah, yeah. love ya mom!"
an hour later, and there's a knock at your door.
you almost trip over your feet and faceplant in your rush to get to the door.
when you swing it open, you almost die.
sevika looks so fucking good. she's wearing a black button up, only the top few buttons are undone, giving you a lovely view of her cleavage. she's got on dress slacks and fancy shiny shoes, and her hair's slicked back off her face, tucked behind her ears. she's gawking at you, clearly just as impressed by your appearance as you are by hers.
"fuck." you say in greeting. sevika closes her mouth, then smiles.
"yeah. you look so fucking good." she mumbles. you grin, and step out of your apartment, taking sevika's hand in yours. she smirks, then swoops in to press a kiss to your cheek. you gulp.
"hey." you say when she pulls away. she smiles.
"hi hotstuff." she says. you laugh.
"don't get used to it. cherry dressed me today." you mutter as sevika starts walking you to the street. she snorts.
"yeah? ran dressed me." she says. you grin.
"well they did a great fucking job." you say. sevika stumbles a bit at the compliment and you laugh. "shy, sev?" you ask. she rolls her eyes.
"f-fuck off." she mutters. you burst into laughter.
"oh c'mon! i thought you were supposed to be all sexy and suave-- all the girls keep telling me about how cool you are."
"i am!" she insists. you raise an eyebrow at her and she groans. "you just make me nervous." she mumbles. you snort.
"i make you nervous?"
"yes!" she exclaims. "i don't-- i don't think you understand." she says, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to turn to face you. you blink at her. "you kinda knocked me on my ass last night." she admits. "like-- forget it." she mumbles.
you tug on her hand. "tell me." you say. she shakes her head no, starting to walk again, and you tug her again. "i'll tell you my secret if you tell me yours." you offer. sevika blinks, then sighs.
"i dunno. you ever seen one of those films they make in piltover?" she asks. you nod. "and how-- how when there's a romance scene and the guy meets the girl it's like-- like the screen goes all blurry everywhere except where she is? and the background noise goes away and corny music starts playing?" she asks. you nod again. "it... it kinda felt like that first time i saw you." she says, shrugging. you blink again. "i-i... i've never done this before." she says.
"done what?"
"dating. flirting." she says. you smile.
"oh. well you're doing a pretty good job of it." you say. she snorts.
"am i? i feel like a fuckin' idiot."
"you're not, you're cute." you say. sevika smiles.
"i'm cute?" she asks. you nod.
"very." you say. sevika grins, then tugs on your hand. "what?" you ask.
"you gotta tell me yours." she says. you laugh.
"oh. mine's no where near as sweet as yours." you admit. she raises an eyebrow at you.
"no?" she asks. you shake your head no and sevika grins. "well?" she asks.
"it's more of a show don't tell secret." you say, winking at her. sevika grins.
the place she takes you to is pretty classy. she orders drinks and appetizers to share, and the two of you chat a bit as you look over the menu.
you look up at some point to reach for your drink, and find sevika admiring you from the other side of the table. when she's caught, she doesn't even seem to care, just grinning at you.
"okay, so tell me about this near death experience." you request. sevika laughs.
"silco's got this kid." she starts. you nod. "she's into explosives and stuff. blew up this building we were all in-- killed like five or six people." she mumbles. you frown. "lost my arm." she says, gesturing to her mech-arm. "and... i dunno. it just got me thinking, i guess. what i'm doing with my life-- the stupid shit i'm wasting all my time and money on. where i always thought i'd be when i was a kid versus where i actually am."
"where'd you think you'd be?" you ask. sevika snorts.
"when i was really young, i thought i'd be one of those show wrestlers-- you know the ones that get all dressed up and sell out arenas. but then i found out those fights were staged-- it took all the magic outta it." she says. you giggle. "but, i dunno. i... i always saw myself, like, doing shit. reading a hundred books a year, learning new languages, learning how to cook. i never did any of that shit. so now... i'm trying, y'know?" she asks. you nod. sevika smiles at you. "you were not in the plan, by the way." she says. you smile.
"didn't see yourself meeting anyone?"
"i saw myself meeting a lot of someones." she says simply. you laugh. "i... i didn't ever expect to meet someone who i'd like though." she says.
"we've known each other less than twenty four hours."
"yeah." she says. "i just can't shake the feeling that i'll know you for a long time to come, though."
you take a hefty sip of your drink. this is like the third time sevika's said something disarmingly romantic and sweet, and she doesn't even seem to register the fact that she's being so romantic and sweet. you reach over the table to take her hand, and shake your head at yourself.
"what?" sevika asks.
"you're not playing me?" you ask, just to be sure. sevika's eyes go wide.
"no!" she says. she opens her mouth to say more but you stop her by squeezing your hand.
"i-- you can say no. it's your first date and everything, i don't wanna fuck it up for you. but... do you maybe wanna just call it a night and come back to my place? find out what my secret is?" you ask.
sevika grins.
"really?" she asks. you giggle and nod, and sevika gets out of her chair so fast it clatters to the floor beneath her. you laugh. "let's get the fuck outta here, babe." she says, throwing some cash onto the table and tugging you out of your chair.
you get to your apartment twice as fast as you got to the resturant, sevika urgently tugging you behind her the entire way.
before you can reach for your keys, she's pinning you to your front door, pressing herself against you, and shoving her tongue down your throat. you moan against her, reaching up to sink your fingers in her hair and tugging, relishing in the shiver that travels down her spine.
"oh fuck, i like you so fucking much." she mumbles against your neck as she begins trailing kisses down it. you take a shaky breath.
"i-i like you too, sev." you say. she grunts, shoving her thigh between your legs, and you moan, hitching your thigh up over her hips. she whimpers.
"c-can i touch you?"
"yes please." you mumble. she grins against your neck, her hand slowly trailing up your leg until it reaches the hem of your dress, and then ducking beneath it, traveling farther and farther up.
you can feel the moment she feels your lingerie, her whole body goes stiff and she sucks in a sharp breath against your neck. you giggle.
"it-- i-- it's not mine. cherry lent it to me, so don't go expecting thongs and lace all the time." you say. sevika groans.
"you better find your keys before i fuck you right through this door." she says. you take a shaky breath and start fumbling through your bag in search of your keys.
you pull them out with a gasp of victory, turning in sevika's arms as she starts grinding against your ass to fumble with the locks until your door swings open.
"i'll give you the tour later." you joke. sevika chuckles against the back of your neck as you both spill into your apartment.
you scream. sevika jumps behind you.
"cherry what the fuck?!" you yell. cherry snaps awake from where she was sprawled across your couch, a bag of chips on her chest, a record playing in the background. she curses.
"oh fuck, mom." she says, rubbing her eyes. "i am so sorry." she says, giggling as she takes in you and sevika's rumpled appearances.
"what are you doing here!?" you ask. cherry giggles.
"about an hour ago i realized that two of you might come back to your place-- and it's a fuckin' mess! you got dishes in your sink and laundry all over the place-- you didn't even make your bed!"
"s-so?" you ask.
"so i came back and used the spare key you gave me to clean up a bit for you two!" she says. "but-- i guess i fell asleep somewhere between folding the laundry and lighting some candles to set the mood."
you groan. "so your plan was to light candles in my place and then leave them unattended? for possibly the entire night?" you ask. cherry cringes.
"see when you say it like that--"
"oh my god, get the fuck out!" you cry.
cherry holds her hands up in a placating gesture, shoving her shoes on and stumbling past you and sevika.
"you two have fun! be safe! if you hurt her, i'll figure out where you live." she threatens sevika as she walks past. you groan again. "love you mom, see you at work tomorrow!" she calls over her shoulder before she slams the apartment door shut behind her.
you sigh, then turn around to look at sevika. she's grinning.
"i'm sorry." you say. sevika snorts.
"it's cool." she says. you groan.
"it's horrible!"
"you're a single mom of like thirty girls-- i get it." she says, slinging her arms around your waist. you chuckle, your head falling forward to rest on her chest. "guess you're a bit of a package deal, huh?" she asks.
"i guess so." you say. she chuckles.
"that's cool. i can work with that. just no actual kids, okay?" she says. you laugh and lean up to kiss her. she hums against you.
"no kids. sounds good." you say against her lips. sevika smirks down at you.
"that... i mean. 'no kids' doesn't necessarily mean we can't try to make a few." she says, raising her eyebrow at you. you grin.
"yeah?" you ask. sevika grins and nods at you.
"show me your bedroom. i hear the bed's freshly made and everything." she says.
you laugh, wrapping your hand around sevika's, and dragging her toward your bedroom.

1000 Follower Celebration!
I'm blown away, honestly. The last time I had any notoriety in a fandom was back in, like 2007 or 2008 when I was on the Dibbuns Against Bedtime fan forums for Redwall. I was made the head of my dorm as the site started dying because I was the most active member in said dorm.
But you all? You're here because you like something I'm making? It's so wild to me. I appreciate every single one of you. Every like, every reblog, every comment. They warm me up.
I've been thinking over the last few days what I want to do. The obvious answers—prompt fills, polls to determine what I write, story snippets—I do all that with too much regularity. And I'm trying to avoid taking on more fics as I focus on the ones I've already got going.
So we're gonna do something a bit different this week.
Over the next week (From Wed 2/21 to Wed 2/28) send me the title of one of my WIPs (listed below) and I will respond with a few paragraphs. Not my usual 1.2-1.6k that I like to do for WIP Wednesday, but a few paragraphs. At the end of the week, I'll compile them all and post everything in a single post.
I won't be adding all the links like I usually do with each addition to a story until I post that final draft, but I'll tag everything with "[story name] 1000" so you can click that and follow along with the fic in some sort of order.
There are six WIPs eligible for the game! Please limit yourself to one fic per ask, but you may send in multiple asks. I will request that, for now, you limit yourself to one request per fic (aka a max of 6 requests per person). If I find that I'm able to keep up, I may waive that request in the upcoming days. But it will depend on how busy my inbox (and life) get.
Bring Me Home
Ghost!Robin
Answer My Call
I'll Carry Your Heart (Until I Find You Again)
Want to Hold On and Feel I Belong/Bad Reveal AU
Empathy!Verse
I totally forgot about the Empathy!Verse when I did my last ask game. Mostly because that has been entirely written on Tumblr and I...kinda forgot to transfer it to a Scrivener document. Ooops. 😅
Something to Feel isn't on this list because I want to dedicate my time to it today. I'm close to the end, I think, and already have one ask in my inbox about it that I totally meant to get to before now (if it's your ask, I promise I haven't forgotten you!).
Brief Story Summaries
Bring Me Home: Tim and Danny are online friends and know each other's secrets. Currently in the arc where the Young Justice and Team Phantom help Danny escape after a reveal gone wrong.
Ghost!Robin: Jason is haunted by the ghost of the Robin he used to be. Danny finds out when Jazz introduces him to Jason over a meet-the-in-laws dinner. Currently, Jason and Robin are meeting with Frostbite to learn what may have happened.
Answer My Call: Jazz is sending texts to Danny after he escaped a GIW facility and they can't talk. But it turns out Jason is the one who's actually been getting them.
Carry Your Heart: Jason and Danny meet in the Ghost Zone while Jason is dead. They become friends. But Jason runs to Desiree to wish for his life back. A wish she fulfills. Danny goes to visit him, only to find his core left behind in a lair that's in ruin.
Bad Reveal AU: Danny is living with the Waynes when he finds out they're also the Bats. He freaks out because he believes the bats are working with the government (aka the GIW). So he shoots Bruce and runs away. The bats are now trying to convince him it's safe to come home.
Empathy!Verse: Liminal!Jazz is studying in Gotham and feeling the lack of other liminals to interact with. After getting used to the undercurrent of emotion that follows all interactions with ghosts/liminals, humans just feel...flat. Then one day, she literally runs into another liminal as she's going to the library. Jason Todd. Only... he doesn't know what it means to be liminal. So Jazz is there to show him.

Reader in Yandere! HOTD 4
Tumblr media
Hi lovelies 💕 Sorry for not updating fast enough, I was in the middle of an exam week so I tried my best to update. Here's part four, hopefully I can finish the requests and asks in my inbox before starting on pt. 5! Enjoy :)
‌Seeing all of your family member standing there was surreal for you. Your father was nowhere to be seen but Daemon said that he's busy with other businesses.
‌You ignored the growing suspicion inside of you, not wanting to look uneasy when such a happy atmosphere was engulfing the family.
‌Yesterday the servants helped you pack your stuff with Ser Criston Cole guarding. You don't know the man too much, but it seemed he's close with the royal family, especially Queen Alicent's family. Now standing next to your step-mother, gone was the calm and soft look he gave you yesterday. Instead it was replaced with a hard and cold gaze as your step-mother walks slowly to you.
‌She smiled at you, but it always looks the same. Tense, not reaching her eyes, just for formality. But now you noticed an underlying fear in her eyes as she placed a small box in your hands. "Take this. It seems I have...overstepped my boundaries."
‌You tilted your head in confusion. Never once was she rude to you, so you're mentally asking yourself why she's acting this way. But before you could ask her, Rhaenyra placed her hand on your shoulder, turning you around as your step-mother was escorted away by guards.
‌"How are you, my child? It seems that lady has given, or to be more exact returned one of your belongings."
‌"Mine?" You asked before opening it. It was one of the many necklaces your step-mother wore. You remembered your father giving her this for her name day, but why was this given to you? "Why did she gave me this necklace?"
‌Rhaenyra sighed, brushing away locks of your hair behind your ear. "It's far too complicated of a story to tell my child. Let's just say that your mother was...still is my most cherished friend. Losing her is one of my most deepest regrets, and I will not lose you too."
‌You nodded, playing with your fingers as you listened to Rhaenyra. It seemed that your mother was very close to the royal family, but it's still a mystery to you. "Why? Why was she close to you?"
‌"Because she has always been with me even before my mother died. I would like to tell you all of the stories, but now is not the time. When you arrive, then I'll tell you stories about your mother," Rhaenyra smiled before pushing the box to you. "Keep this safe [Name]. It's a gift from your mother before she died."
‌Now that caught your attention, glancing back at the necklace before nodding to Rhaenyra. She hugged you before ushering you away to get ready to leave. You look back towards your siblings, all standing there with nervous looks. You didn't feel sad for leaving them, maybe you'll miss their presence but you know you'll be friends with people. You raised your hand slowly before waving at them, walking backwards before getting ready to leave.
‌The family decides for you to travel using Corlys ship before you try to ride a dragon, claiming it was too dangerous if you have no experience. You did see them in the distance, feelin in awe at their presence and size. Daemon promised he'll help you get used to riding dragons when they'll be back, maybe even letting his daughters help you when they claimed their own dragons.
‌Corlys beamed with happiness as he ushered you to his ship, flaunting it as he explained the history and the significance. It was very interesting to you as you looked around, asking questions here and there to quell your curiosity. Rhaenys soon came along, who chided her husband for already overwhelming you too much. But you reassured her that it's fine, that it's very interesting for you to learn.
‌You heard Rhaenys mumbling something along the lines of 'Always curious, just like her mother.' You kept quiet though, not wanting to take your eyes off the sea as the ship sailed away.
‌Turns out, it was truly boring for you to see only sea everywhere you look. You huffed as you sat down next to Rhaenys. You remembered the box of necklace in your small bag, grabbing it before putting it on the table. "I want to know my mother, please?"
‌Rhaenys chuckled before lowering her book. "What do you want to know? It seems that you're almost bursting because of the questions inside your head."
‌You opened the box. "I want to know her relationship with you, all of you. My father told me she died in childbirth, but it seemed it was all lies. He never told me about her house, her family, anything. I've never been so...interested with her life before any if you came along."
‌Rhaenys smiled softly at you. "Your mother is special to all of us because many different reasons. For me, it was because your mother was always fighting and being a brave little thing. Not wanting to back down from a challenge. Yet she still kept her grace as a lady. She grew close to my family after she grew close to Viserys and Rhaenyra."
‌You bit your lip. So your mother had a very close relationship with the family for a long time. It seemed that they cherished her so much, yet they never knew much about her death. "What about her death? Did she run away from all of you?"
‌Rhaenys looked away, face growing tense. It was quiet for a long time, only the crackling fire from the candle was heard. "Your mother's house was not a well known one. One day it collapsed because the Lord was not managing it very well. Your mother was sent away to marry your father to pay the Lord's debt."
‌You grimaced about the fate of your mother. Rhaenys exhaled softly before continuing. "It was shocking news for all of us. We went to ask the Lord of the house for her whereabouts but he vanished into thin air. We searched for her all the time yet we never succeeded. We only knew about your whereabouts because a servant came forward, claiming that your mother was living amongst them."
‌"Amongst...them?" You frowned. Odd choice of words, but maybe the servant chose the wrong words to tell that your mother was still living.
‌"Tell me," Rhaenys tapped her fingers on the table. "Have you ever met a servant rushing around to work with you or near you?"
‌You looked away, trying to remember if any servants did that. Most of them kept their distance with you, only a few came to your aid sometimes. You shook your head, glancing back at Rhaenys.
‌"It seemed you have forgotten about a certain maid that once came to your help when you cried in the gardens?"
‌Your heart stopped, looking back at Rhaenys in suspicion. How did she know about that incident? You cried there because you were tired of living there as if your a burden. That was back then before you accepted your fate, maybe when the birth of your new sibling was still new. You cried in the gardens at night because no one was there. Until a servant came up and comforted you with kind words and given you a few snacks. You don't remember her face, but you did remember how close your hair colour was with each other.
‌"You're not—you don't mean..." You stammered nervously as you played with the box.
Rhaenys nodded. "That servant was your mother, [Name]. She escaped from her room before she was inevitably killed by your father."

Conversation Friends ° Lando Norris
Chapter Two
Word count : 1.658k
Description : slow burn, college!au (enemies to lovers) and more to come
Hey guys, sorry this chapter came out a week late, I was suffocating from homework. But here we are! And I'm currently on a week break from uni so I'll try to write as much as possible during this time, I have sooo many ideas. I think I'll even try writing oneshots so if anyone has requests I'm open to them! Hope you'll enjoy this chapter, and feel free to message me if you want to be tagged in the next parts 🧚🏼‍♀️
PSA : Since I’m STUPID, I’ve started writing on a side blog which means there’s a lot of things I can’t do!! So I’m switching to my main blog which is @f1stargurl !!! The next parts and the rest will be posted on there, so if anyone follows me here, if you could pls follow me on @f1stargurl 🤧 To quote mister Leclerc once ai gain, “I am stupid”
Hi Lando,
I’m sorry we got off on the wrong foot. I’m sure that stupid encounter at the supermarket was just a result of the both of us being irritated and tired. As you can probably tell, my first few days here weren’t so easy and it might’ve been one of the reasons why I was so unpleasant, and once again, I apologize.
I really am willing to put this stupid history behind us and get this program started!
I hope you’ll give it a thought and I look forward to hearing from you soon, have a good week!
Sincerely, y/n
It’s been six days since I’ve sent Lando that email and pushed my pride to the side to organize a date. Well, it’s not a date, but still- I guess it is technically a date? Is it a date if we hate each other? It’s a meeting. Yeah, I was trying to organize a meeting.
Still no response.
Closing my laptop, I decided to take my mind off this situation and take a break at a coffee shop near campus.
Taking a step inside the coffee shop I spot Daniel and Alex sipping on their drinks. Seeing Daniel again instantly put a smile on my face, we’ve been hanging out these last few days and having him by my side feels great.
“What’s up guys!” I say while waving at them across the room.
“Hey y/n!” They both got up from their seats to give me a hug.
“Go get your drink and come join us,” Alex invited me, pointing at their booth, “we were talking about the party this weekend.”
“Don’t mind if I do then”, I respond smiling from ear to ear.
After picking up my hot chocolate I sit down in front of them, Daniel makes fun of me for not liking coffee, again.
“I swear y/n you’re 21 and you still don’t like coffe? You need to grow up,’ rolling my eyes, I playfully shove Dani’s shoulder feeling his muscle tense under the light punch, so annoying, and buff, wow. We kept talking for more than two hours. I got to tell them all about Lando ghosting me and about the amazing cheese and garlic pasta I made last night.
“I think he’ll come to his senses. He has to,” Daniel insists, crossing his arms in front of him. Ooh, veiny forearms… “the reason you guys hate each other is so ridiculous anyway, over freaking pasta!” he shakes his head in disbelief.
“I think you did the right thing trying to reach out, at least you’ll be the bigger person” Alex says, his hand reaching for his matcha latte, “I’m sure you’ll be able to figure this out together.”
“Thanks for the optimism I really appreciate it” I say with a weak smile, not really believing in Linguini’s philanthropist potential, “I just hope this won’t ruin the program for me…”
“What? No way!” Daniel exclaims sitting up on his side of the booth, “Look, you’ve got your Conversation Friends right here” he says putting his arm around Alex’s shoulder who’s nodding and smiling in agreement, “and you’ve got Lola!”
“You’re right Dani, I’m not gonna give myself anxiety over a guy who can’t even be polite,” I state with confidence, “anyways, I’m so excited about the party this weekend!”
Once back in my room, I decided to check my inbox one more time. Just in case.
Still no response.
The sight tugs at my heart a little. We have our first mandatory meeting in a few days and I still have no contact with my partner. I wouldn’t care so much about it if it was just about the two of us, but the whole group is supposed to visit a museum and I don’t want to be the only one there without a partner, that would be too embarrassing.
But as I reminisce on the topic, I realize I’m not just sad anymore, I’m bitter. All week I saw everyone meeting up and doing fun activities with their partners, but I can’t get an email back? Even a “k” would’ve been enough… I’m stunned at how childish this boy is being.
Putting my phone on my wooden nightstand, I close my eyes and try not to overthink about the situation. Is it my personality? Maybe it’s because of the way I look.
But I catch myself slipping, the last thing I need to do is to start doubting myself because of a man again.
God, this British Society class is really kicking my ass right now. Why did I even choose the 8am one, what is wrong with me? The professor starts off the first chapter of the class as we hear a loud knocking on the door.
“Sorry I’m late,” I see Lando standing in the doorway, out of breath, his cheeks a light pink from the rush. His eyes search around the room for any seat still available until they meet mine. There’s one right next to me, but of course he’ll never take that one. He sets down his bag on the table front row and I feel my heart racing from embarrassment as my mind instantly jogs back to the email and how vulnerable it was. He turns around a final time and blankly looks at me. What is that supposed to mean?
The class went by slower than ever, my mind speeding about different ways to go up to him and finally settle this ridiculous situation.
8:55 finally strikes the clock as the professor concludes his explanation. As I put away my computer I see Lando clutching his books and bolting towards the exit.
Not on my fucking watch. I head for his direction, calling out his name, “Lando! LANDOO!”
He turns on his heels in a swift motion, “What do you want from me?”
Suddenly feeling small, I still mustered up the courage to ask him about what’s going on, “Well you’ve read my email so I don’t know why you’re acting like you don’t know,” I grumble. “I feel like I’m making way too much effort here.”
“What email? What are you even talking about?” he asks, his thick brows furrowing in irritation. “I didn’t even give you my real email, the one I wrote down was just to fill the blank so the teacher won’t bug me,” he explains, still slightly confused as to what I was on about, “I just don’t want us to communicate outside of the mandatory attendings, got it ? We’ll meet there and that’s it.”
Well, at least that explains the total ghosting, doesn’t make it any less humiliating though. My lips close in a tight line, “Message received then, glad to know you’ll still be there for the museum,” I slowly nod my head trying to process what I’ve just been told. I feel my throat tightening up a bit and decide to leave before embarrassing myself any further, never looking behind me at the curly haired boy.
Standing in line in front of the museum’s ticket office with my two favorite boys feels like we’re high schoolers on a field trip. I still feel uneasy about this upcoming afternoon, even if the run-in we had was terrible, he still assured me he’ll be coming today.
But now, I don’t even want him to be here, I’m done with the idea of making any efforts with him, I’ve been way too kind to him. I’ll just stay glued to Dani and Alex and spend a nice afternoon at the museum with them, it’ll be way more fun than if he ever was to be here.
“Still no news from Linguini?” Alex asks, trying to make sense of this situation, probably feeling bad for me. I really was pitiful.
“It’s not like I have a way of having any.” I half-joke trying to keep face despite anxiety and sadness creeping their way into my heart;
I found myself gazing at a beautiful photograph of a peony field, my favorite flower. The exhibition was showcasing the origins and the beauty of perfumes around the world. It involved a path filled with elements used to make our favorite scents through the use of pictures and different aromas being diffused all around the museum. I had clinged on to my favorite boys for twenty minutes before the teacher noticed, “I don’t care if your partner isn’t here, it’s a pairing of two only.” So now I was wandering around the exhibition and taking in the great sights and scents on my own.
“Hey,” I turned around to see Lando looking ahead standing next to me, his hair covered by a green cap matching the crew neck sitting on his shoulders and the color of his eyes. Last time I thought they were blue, but they’re not. They’re the most gorgeous shade of olive green I had ever seen. It bothered me that I noticed these kinds of small details about him, he was the last person to deserve it. “Sorry I’m late.”
I kept my focus on the piece in front of me, “Alright.”
“Alright.”
“These are my favorite, my grandma used to grow some in her garden,” I tell him without really knowing why.
“My grandma had roses, those are nice too,” he answers, I just nod in agreement. We both keep looking at the photograph in silence for another minute when his phone starts to ring.
“Hey babe,” he quickly picks up, “yeah it’ll be quick I promise - no I don’t care I just have to do this, you know that.” Wow, way to ruin the last speck of hope I had. He hangs up as fast as he picked up.
“You know you could’ve just told me you had a girlfriend and didn’t want to talk to me for that reason, I mean, It’s a little extreme but I get it.” I know that some girlfriends are overprotective and the idea of their boyfriends spending time with another girl can be a nightmare.
“It's not about her,” he spits out, “I just don’t want to be here, I’ve got better things to do,” and with that final sentence he rubs the salt in a wound that’s already way too deep for what it’s worth.
“You don’t have to be here though, nobody’s forcing you to” I remark, my voice filled with resentment. I’ve had enough.
“I do, though. I’m only doing this to pass my semester, so let’s just wrap this up,” he starts going for the rest of the exhibition in hopes of finishing early. When he doesn’t feel me following him, he turns around and stops, staring me down with his hands in his back pockets, his shoulders slumped in frustration.
Slowly shaking my head, I stand my ground and head towards the next step in the exhibition in silence, disregarding the icy stare from the green boy across the room. I’m not letting him get away with it this time. I’ll enjoy the rest of the tour and make sure to take my time. Might as well enjoy my own company if that’s all I’m gonna have for the rest of the program.

My Husband, My Monster|Part 2|William Afton x Wife!Reader
Tumblr media
(A/N: Part 2 is here! I've honestly had such a good time writing this so far, part of me is kind of happy to not have a technical storyline to stick to so strongly like Break Me Slowly. I'm trying my best to keep these to once a week but we'll see how well we do with Christmas coming up. Also I'm not sure how long this fic will be, apparently more movies are coming out so once it's finished I might just make some oneshots inspired off of them but we'll see. Enjoy and don't hesitate to hope in my inbox for requests!)
WARNINGS: noncon, dubcon, power imbalance, age difference, manipulation, mind breaking, yandere themes, yandere behaviours, domestic violence, misogyny, violence, William’s a warning himself, etc.
=============================================
A person's first job was always a memorable part of their life, truly learning how to become an adult and gain valuable experience. And one hell of a experience it was.
The first shift had been great, William had taken her under his wing, showing her the ropes and ensuring that she understood her position. The atmosphere of work was lovely, friendly and playful and she got to interact with children which she loved. Each section of the diner was a wonder of mechanical feats, animatronics who came to life all because her boss was an ingenious man. Ketchup stains and the occasional milkshake spill were well worth the experience of it all.
"Well done for your first day, I hope everything didn't scare you off just yet."
She smiles, taking a moment to rest her feet after the long day. "Yeah, I knew going in there would be some level of chaos, it'll be fine."
"So in that case I'll see you tomorrow at eight sharp?"
There's a pause. "In the morning?"
"Of course, although it's common to be here a few minutes early."
"Well- sir- I have class that morning-"
"And I need you here. There's the most to do in the morning."
"I understand I just think I can't make it-"
William frowns. "I thought you could be flexible."
"Well I can but-"
"No it's alright, I see how it is. I'm counting on you and yet you're not here to back it up."
She chews her lip, she never could stand letting people down. "But class-"
"At the end of the day schooling won't get you everywhere you need, job experience is what's important."
There's a long moment of pause, considering her options. "Well- I suppose I can skip one class, one of my friends can take notes for me."
Now William brightens. "There we go, I knew I could count on you." His hand lands on her shoulder, keeping it there for a touch longer than usual to let it sink in.
Her smile is tight and forced, clearly a bit annoyed at having to miss one of her classes, but that she would come to grips with soon enough. =============================================
The next day ends similar to the first, hard work and exhaustion, stains and slight discomfort. Moments of rest spoiled when her boss slid her the paper copy of her indefinite schedule.
"These are all mornings-"
"Of course, it seems like that's where you're the best suited and it's where I need you the most. Why, is that a problem?"
"Did I forget to give you my class schedule? All my classes are mornings."
William shrugs. "I'm not sure what to say, I'm sure you can get by on notes."
"I'll get in trouble-"
"Oh you've never been to higher schooling, I have, don't worry it will be fine. All that really matters is that you know the material for tests and quizzes. That's all."
She shifts uncomfortably, as if deciding whether or not to argue the point further or if she should believe him.
Finally she nods, accepting. "I suppose you're right, it'll work out in the end."
============================================
Weeks went on like this, William working her to near collapse, giving her little time for friends and family and no time for school. The exhaustion was affecting her grades surely, since she always complained about not finishing an assignment on time.
It was inevitable when she came to him and told him of dropping out.
"You had to drop out? Why?" He asked innocently.
"My grades went down too far, and I just couldn't seem to focus or find interest in the course anymore. It was for the best to just quit before I spent too much money."
"That's such a shame."
She shrugs and gives a sad smile. "It's probably for the best, if I couldn't handle the schooling I wouldn't have handled the field."
He can't help but press further. "What do your parents think about this? They paid your tuition yes?"
"They're not happy at all, which is why I have to give in my two week notice."
This gave him pause, annoyance and confusion causing him to frown. "Two week notice? I would think you'd need a job more than ever now."
She shakes her head. "My parents are moving me away, they're convinced the reason I fail is because of my friends so they believe if I'm separated from them then I'll get my career."
All of his hard work was being threatened now, he had to think fast. "You're really going to give up your entire friend group because your parents are trying to order their grown daughter around?" He shakes his head. "I wouldn't allow that if I were you."
"But what can I do? I have no where to go, I can't afford my own place even at full time pay."
William pauses for a few moments for effect. "Well, I hate to see young futures go to waste, and since my heart goes out to those in need, I would be willing to help you afford an apartment. I'll get you to make it up to me in other ways, have you work some more or something, nothing to worry about."
"You'd really do that for me?" Her eyes shine with admiration.
"Of course, I care for all of my employees, and bright young minds need independence to thrive."
"Oh thank you thank you thank you!" Her smile is so big and bright, completely oblivious to the looming clouds threatening her happiness.

party favour
pov its your birthday!
rin x gn! reader fluff and MORE fluff p.s. this is written for my very very very good friend! happy birthday elis ily so much
"so, what are you doing tomorrow?" rin's voice was muffled through the phone as you laid on your pillow, looking at him as you face timed him while he was overseas for another friendly game.
"not much, probably hanging out with my friends, the usual." you're half awake as you try to reply him, his time zone different from his and you know rin is about to go off to cool down when you see him grab his wind breaker.
and you know how horrible he feels for leaving you back home, leaving you to celebrate your big birthday without him.
and he doesn't talk about, never a good communicator; but you can see it in his eyes when he looks back at you through the screen, and you wished he was here with you right now.
you suddenly see his eyes dart around at whatever is in front of him and you caught a glimpse of him panicking but he quickly pulls it off with a straight face and says, “i see, i have to go and you should sleep, you look exhausted."
and you don't argue with him cause you are indeed about to pass out. "okay rin, i love you and i'll text you later?"
rin nods his head and gives the faintest smile, "yeah, i love you too y/n." he hangs up while you put your phone at your bedside time and drift off to sleep.
the next morning, you see a text from rin wishing you a happy birthday and you send him a kiss emoji in reply as you went to prepare for your day out with your friends.
as much as you wished he was here, he isn't and you refused to let that affect you while your friends planned an exciting day out for you. so you head to the bathroom and started to get ready for your day!
soon enough, the day flew by as your friends brought you to your favourite hang out spots and you had so much fun with them, but now its your time to go back home to wash up and get ready for your daily face time with rin.
when you unlocked the door to your apartment, you smell something burning and immediately you thought “oh no, did i leave the stove on?” and you throw your bag to the floor, rushing to the kitchen when you suddenly see rin, standing still in the middle of your living room with a birthday cake filled with so much candles till his face was illuminated by the flames and he looks so so stiff.
“rin!” you were so stunned and he looks stunned as well, as if he lit the candles in panic when he heard the door open and the candles are all lit up together.
“happy birthday y/n,” he smiles, and walks closer to you for you to blow out the candles before your smoke detector goes off.
you wipe a few tears springing from your eyes as you ask him, “when? how? i thought you weren’t coming back till the end of the week.”
rin shrugs, “i negotiated with them to play the game yesterday before i rushed to the airport to be back here before your friends dropped you off.”
“you planned this with them? and what about your manager? they are okay with this?” you are shocked, your friends didn’t even let this slip for the whole day.
rin nods and puts the cake down on the coffee table and opens his arms wide for you, and you embrace him with so much love. you missed him so much and you know he missed you too with the way his hands are so tight around your waist and he leaves the sneakiest kiss on top of your head.
“of course, i wouldn’t miss my girlfriend’s birthday for the world,” and rin leans down to whisper a happy birthday against your lips, before you kissed him back with love.
a/n: happy happy happy birthday to my dearest friend once again ❤️

What's this, another prompt?
Yes, I cannot be stopped.
For those of you who are new to this, I have predone writing prompts and you can request which character to see in them next, and I'll write a short story for it following your specifications! I have another that involves the reader falling and needing rescue, which so far I've done for Ne Zha, Yin, and Macaque. If you like either of those and want to see a specific character next, or have an idea of your own, you can request stories or headcanons in my inbox!
Sleepy Prompt
After pushing themselves too hard for too long, the reader still refuses to sleep, resulting in the character who's crushing on them stepping in to force them to get some rest.
Sun Wukong X Reader
"The reader has had a long and exhausting week, but refuses to cancel on plans with Wukong, who is easily able to see through their sleepiness and intervenes."
Tumblr media
It was a good thing your hoverbike had autopilot, because you were most certainly too tired to drive. Promising your body that rest was coming eventually, you resisted the pull of sleep even as the cool evening hair whooshing by your head tempted you by weighing down your eyelids… Shaking your head to temporarily banish the worst of the sleepiness, you focused on your destination; Flower Fruit Mountain. The lush jungle looked more picturesque than ever in the golden evening light, and you promised yourself the night of fun would be well worth feeling a bit tired. You'd powered through an incredibly exhausting week for this…
Following the predetermined path inside the cave, the hoverbike slowed to a gentle hum as it lost most of its speed. A group of monkeys below grew very excited at your arrival, jumping and hollering as you landed beside the cozy little cottage where their king was waiting. Smiling sleepily at their welcome, you tried not to yawn when the bike touched down and shut itself off, still convincing yourself you could stay awake for whatever evening the Monkey King had planned.
"Hey, you made it!" a cheery voice greeted you from the doorway, waving enthusiastically as he stepped out to greet you. Removing your helmet and stepping off the bike to meet him halfway, you fumbled in your sleepiness, nearly tripping until Wukong all but teleported to your side to steady you. While casual as always, he did allow a bit of worry to creep into his voice as he gently pressed you for an explanation. "You uh, feeling alright?"
"Yeah, totally!" you replied, trying not to blush at how ridiculously quickly you'd been caught. He was the Great Sage, sure, but you hadn't even gotten in the door and he was already suspicious. Gulping under his golden gaze, you tried to play down the situation instead of lying. "Just a little tired. It's been a busy few days, you know?"
"Uh huh…" he deadpanned, one brow rising as he released you to cross his arms. The Monkey King seemed to see right through you, and knew just how tired you were pretending not to be. A sassy flick of his tail made you fully aware he knew what you were trying to hide.
Closing his eyes, Wukong thought on that for a moment, giving you some hope he'd accept and the two of you could go on pretending everything was fine. You'd simply feel too guilty if you bailed to get some sleep. Opening his eyes once again, he looked you up and down before shrugging and holding up his hands helplessly. "Well then, how about now?"
"Seriously, I'm fine!" you assured, refusing to give up on the fun evening you'd promised him. "I can catch up on my sleep debt any time, it's no big deal."
"What?" you asked, having no time before he was scooping you up without hesitation or effort. Unable to resist, you only called out in shock as he hopped on a cloud to carry the two of you inside in a flash. It was all you could do to cling to him as you floundered for an explanation. "Whoa, hey! Wukong-"
You were in his bedroom before you could blink, and suddenly his plan became quite clear. Setting you down atop the somewhat disheveled comforter, the Monkey King put a gentle but encouraging hand on your shoulder to compel you to stay down. There was a gentle plea behind his joking. "Don't worry, you can thank me later."
"I don't need to-"
"Yes, you do. I'm not even mortal, and do you know what I'd be like if I didn't get my ten hours of beauty sleep?" he insisted, standing up to reach for the lamp and turn off the light. When the room dipped into pleasant darkness, it became that much harder to resist sleep, especially with his impossibly soft bed beneath you. You didn't even have the energy to laugh at his little quip… but goodness, you didn't want to sleep yet. Despite all of your exhaustion, you'd been looking forward to this evening so much, and didn't want to disappoint him…
The same golden eyes that had seen right through you softened, and he leaned down to speak more directly to you, lowering his voice and smiling reassuringly. He knew you well enough to be quite aware of your reluctance to care for yourself. "Do me a solid, and get some shut eye. We can hang out after you've rested up."
"Maybe I'll just take a nap…" you conceded at last, yawning as your head sunk into the soft pillow below. It was like laying down on your own personal cloud…
"Sure." he agreed with a chuckle. There were soft footsteps as he moved across the room, but you could hear what he was doing even after your eyes drifted shut. A small window went dark as he adjusted the screens, a drawer was pulled open, something fabric was unfurled… You were just awake enough to register the blankets as they were pulled up over your shoulders. He sounded more tender than you'd ever heard him be as he whispered softly into your ear. "Here, it gets pretty cold in here at night…"
Warmth made it that much harder for you to resist sleep, and you didn't even have the capacity to offer your thanks. The Monkey King didn't need them. Smiling down at you, he tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear before offering one final whisper. It was impossible for him to ignore how good it felt to ensure you were taken care of, or how peaceful you looked drifting off in his bed.
"Sleep tight, alright?"
