STEM Curriculum Middle School
ENDING IS THE BEGINNING..As the Cohort 3 of the i3 Program culminated yesterday, beyond the prototyping and presentations, we could see the transformation and the beginning of a new journey for 20 odd High-schoolers, as confident communicators, willing to collaborate where required, creatively solving for problems and above all caring for the world around them.
Beyond the designing and making, tech learning and fun they had as a group at the awesome T-Works Hyderabad, coming from different schools, their ideas and willingness to do whatever it takes overcoming technical problems, lack of resources or personal weaknesses, thier amazing spunk would put many a adult in college and corporates to shame.
Thank you Viiveck Verma for taking out time to come as the Guest for the Graduation and inspiring the graduating cohort with some life lessons, some they lived and learned over the two weeks: 1) Failure is fine for it means you are trying something new 2) Repeating the same mistake means you are just plain lazy , no fun. Look forward to more collaborations with some of the ideas you have shared.
And to all the High-schoolers and their amazing parents, our journey of mentorship has begun and well begun. Keep Creya'ting.

Someone please tell me what arcane rituals get printers to work
Even my 3D printer is fickle. What do y'all use? Sacrifices? Ancient midnight spells? There's gotta be something.

His name is bubby and he wants to be a gengar when he grows up! <3
But for real, our most recent project in 3D modeling we had to make sculpts and turn them into 3D prints! This was my guy. The basis is from a nomad sculpt tutorial I found on YouTube and I just added my own lil touches :)

"As 3D-printing methods continue to evolve, it’s not uncommon to see this method employed for various engineering projects, especially in the construction of affordable housing, structures, and schools.
In Ireland, a first-of-its-kind social housing project has been built from the ground up, using 3D printing as a time and money-saving solution.
In fact, it’s Europe’s first 3D-printed social housing project, fully compliant with international standards. In Grange Close, Dundalk, the three-unit terraced build is now a milestone achievement in eastern Ireland. It was created by Harcourt Technologies Ltd (HTL.tech) and assembled using COBOD’s BOD2 3D construction printer.
The unit is 3,550 square feet and is divided into three separate homes, each measuring 1,184 square feet.

The use of this technology allowed for a 35% faster construction process, which took 132 days from start to finish. During that time, the 3D-printed superstructure itself was completed in just 12 printing days.
Conventional construction methods usually require more than 200 days, according to COBOD, meaning this method could be transformative in quickly scaling affordable housing options.
“Ireland’s housing crisis, driven by a decade of under-construction and rising demand, has reached critical levels, leading to widespread protests and influencing national elections,” HTL.tech shared in a press release.
“The rapid construction made possible by 3D printing offers a promising solution. The homes in Dundalk demonstrate how this technology can address housing shortages by dramatically reducing construction time and costs.”

In the 132 days it took to go from initial site preparation to handing over keys to the client, builders say approximately half of the time savings came directly from 3D printing.
Additionally, during the project, COBOD upgraded the concrete hose of its printer, which increased its output by 40% and significantly increased the printing speed. With this upgrade, the company estimates that printing times for similar structures would be reduced to nine days instead of 12.
“We continue to improve our technology,” Henrik Lund-Nielsen, general manager and founder of COBOD International, said in a statement, “and although a hose update can be seen as a small step, the numbers from HTL.tech proves that it is not.”
Now, the client — a local housing council — will finish furnishing the homes and will rent them to social housing tenants at an affordable price.

It’s a success that will surely have ripple effects.
“As the first 3D-printed social housing project in Europe, the Grange Close development sets a precedent for future housing solutions,” a press release from HTL.tech explained. “With countries like Sweden and Germany also experimenting with 3D-printed homes, this technology is poised to become a standard approach for addressing housing shortages.”
The statement also added that governments across Europe may increasingly adopt 3D printing to “deliver faster, more cost-effective housing solutions for low-income residents.”
“This project not only showcases the potential for rapid, sustainable construction but also serves as a blueprint for other nations facing similar challenges,” the statement concluded. “As 3D printing technology evolves, its role in shaping the future of housing construction looks increasingly promising.”"

SUPER UNIQUE writing ideas for hobbyists and professionals looking for fun, personal projects to get their inspo back
get a fictional pen pal (ask your other writer friends!) and spend time decorating envelopes, picking out a handwriting style, maybe buying a cheap perfume/cologne that smells like your character to really get to know them and feel their presence. if you have hand tremors or bad handwriting like me, you can choose a handwriting font for them and print their letters out!! more examples: save the dates, wedding invitations, birthday cards, party invites, etc.
use old calendars in character (there are many "expired" planners on sale around the end of the year, usually August) personally, i use them to record major life events like first band tours, trips abroad, holidays, birthdays... even trash pickup days and when they forget to roll out the bins!
sketch floor plans this can be on graph paper if you have the know-how when it comes to scaling down, but there are also tons of simple apps that allow you to both create the floor plan a builder would use and add furniture like an interior decorator. some even let you rotate them afterwards and see the furniture and walls burst to life in 3D! you can think of them as the sims but where everything is actually to scale
make an architectural model if you have some scrap cardboard, paper, and glue, you can easily bring the floor plan you just made to life (you'll need practice if you want to get really fancy with it of course! window panes and railings are the gnarliest part for me, haha)
make a playlist as your character maybe the most accessible one on this list, you can make the playlist your character listens to. sometimes this can be fun and surprising, like when my little guy Possum from Violence Without Plot is covered in tattoos and plays punk music on stage but listens to nothing but spa music to wind down between shows
write something your character can see this one is so weird to summarize but what i mean is like... a school essay for your teacher character to grade. cryptic street signs warning about danger by the lake. a memorial plaque beneath a statue. a character's online blog. a few of the cards in a grandmother's recipe box. a business card for a smooth-talking lawyer. things you can write that make everything feel so textured and real
these are all things i do on the daily, and it makes my life as a writer a thousand times more joyful and fulfilling. so have fun, be safe, and don't forget to unplug the hot glue when you're done <3

My hc for each of the gangs college majors:
Hiccup: Mechanical Engineering
Hiccup would probably go into 3D printing, specifically focusing on animal prosthetics. His dad is the president of the college so he had no choice about which college to go to.
Astrid: Physical Therapy
Astrid was kind of difficult to figure out a major for because she is good at a lot of different things but I think she would be a really good physical therapist for animals. I think it matches her compassionate side as well as her fiery energy that pushes people to be their best. Hiccup and Astrid probably met through their majors and work together for a lot of projects.
Snotlout: Criminal Justice
Snotlout had no idea what he wanted to major in so he looked at the list of majors in alphabetical order saw Criminal Justice and went “Criminal Justice? You mean I get to beat up bad guys for fun? Hell yeah” he then chose that as his major having no idea what it entails. He hates his major and his friends beg him to switch but it makes his dad proud so he keeps it. He 100% becomes the friend that you (reluctantly) call for legal advice and he shows up with a suit and briefcase.
Fishlegs: Major in biology, minor in geology
Fishlegs would probably be studying to become a zoologist or a paleontologist. Probably both because he is an overachiever and is in the honors program along with Astrid and Hiccup. Though he shows up to all the hangouts, he usually brings homework with him that he never actually gets to work on.
Ruffnut: psychology (forced to switch major from chemistry)
I mean have you seen rtte? That girl is always diagnosing people with random shit and is very good at picking peoples brains apart.
Tuffnut: Linguistics (forced to switch major from chemistry)
Again, have you seen rtte? My man is always speaking in different languages, and his accents are *perfect.* He could fr be a translator
Heather: education
I imagine Heather would be studying to be a pre-school teacher or a school psychologist. I mean, just look at how she took care of Garf.

it’s 2:14 pm when you spot tony in the crowd.
๑彡 platonic!tony stark x gender neutral!reader
๑彡 adopted child!au — mentions of kidnapping — fluff
๑彡 paragraph format — 0.7K words
masterlist
[gif’s full credit belongs solely to its owner]
๑彡 i don’t think i’ve ever projected this hard on any of my works before, but— my sincere apologies bc i made yn a college of engineering student, like i am *insert exhaling emoji here*
๑彡 if you think tony’s a little too ooc here . . . that’s bc he’s based on endgame!tony — specifically his dynamic with morgan :D
You, [full name], are the child of Tony Stark— the Tony Stark. Not biologically in any way, but treated like one nevertheless.
A blessing it might be to remember whenever you’re around your adoptive father and everyone close to him, it’s also a curse the media loves to remind you every chance they get. They are extremely selective about when they consider you a Stark — and it all depends on the narrative they want to push. Effectively, you’re only a Stark in their eyes whenever you do something they deem unbecoming of the name.
Your father Tony does his best to shield you from all the negative attention that comes with being his child. His efforts go beyond suing reporters and paparazzi to oblivion — and assigning shadow bodyguards to keep you safe. He gives you the freedom to live normally as well, which includes bestowing you another name that flies under the radar. [First name] Carbonell.
[First name] Carbonell who just decided to participate in their university’s hack-a-thon on a whim. Who didn’t even tell their dad where they disappeared to on a weekend. And who just got called onto the makeshift stage.
"Congratulations," your old Assembly Language Programming professor greets you as you shake his hand and accept the 3D-printed trophy he’s offering you.
So much for only attending for the free merch.
(You came for the workshops, too, of course. But it was never in your plan to code something, especially with a clock set so tight, let alone submit something for judging. It just kind of . . . happened.)
You give a small, polite smile. "Thank you."
Once more, the crowd roars with applause. However, this time, it’s accompanied by a familiar celebratory whistle. Dad.
You locate him just before the shutter clicks. Your winning photo immortalizes your genuine reaction to spotting your dad in the crowd.
You run to him immediately after descending from the makeshift stage. He catches you in an embrace. "Congratulations, [nickname]." You melt into the hug as he plants a kiss on top of your head. "I’m proud of you."
Truth be told, you never imagined that you two would reach this point. You were convinced that you were meant to die in fourth grade, when HYDRA kidnapped you as petty revenge to your SHIELD agent biological parents. It was only by pure luck that the Avengers found you when they did — especially when they weren’t even looking for you in the first place. Although it wasn’t Iron Man who found you first, you clung to Tony since then because he reminded you of your biological father the most.
Tony, for his part, as he later admitted to you during your junior year of high school, had been hesitant to take you in himself. He cared for you a lot, to the point that he had been convinced you deserved a better guardian than he could ever be. Yet, at the same time, the thought of never seeing you again was too much to bear.
The two of you had to figure things out along the way. And you’d like to think you have done well in doing your respective best.
"Thanks, Dad." You tighten your hold on him, unwilling to let go just yet. "Means a lot."
Later, when your dad had enough photos of you with your trophy in his phone, he takes you to a hamburger joint. He had denied your request to have donuts for lunch, but he did promise to get a couple dozen for dessert.
"How did you know I was on campus?" You ask as you unwrap more of your burger.
Your dad, who hasn’t peeled off his photostatic veil and stripped off his disguise, nonchalantly relies, "JARVIS tattled on you."
You stop mid-bite because of that. "Dad! You said you removed that protocol!"
"I did." His burger suddenly appears the most interesting thing to look at. "I just asked JARVIS where you were because I wanted to have lunch."
Your eyes soften. University has been . . . a lot. You haven’t been able to join your dad for meals, much less hang around his workshop like you always did when you were younger.
You thought nothing it, really. Partly because you’ve been too busy to think about it, but mostly because you assumed he wouldn’t care. After all, you still live with him — and you two see each other in the hallways every-so-often at midnight.
It never occurred to you that your dad will miss you, even when he still has everything keeping him occupied. "I miss you, too, you know."

over and over and over and over—technoblade’s crown
this was the first time i had worked with EVA foam in a project that required precision in several years, and was ultimately a test in patience and perseverance—i made four separate iterations of this crown before i made one that i completely finished.
i originally designed the crown in illustrator because through my school i have access to a laser engraver. i did some digging and eva foam is technically safe to use on a co2 laser, so I figured i’d save myself some trouble and cut the shape out entirely on the laser.
unfortunately things can’t always be quite that easy and i ended up only being able to cut the thin 2mm foam on the laser. the thicker 10mm stuff sparked in a way that the shop manager was not comfortable with after some testing.

with the 2mm foam, though, i engraved galactic script of all of the helmet enchantments to serve as the band along the bottom of the crown!

i cut the crown shape out by hand and shaped it gently using a heat gun and a bucket to help it ‘learn’ the round shape.

at this point, i was convinced i’d be able to use a dremel tool to smooth out any rough edges on the foam. this was… not the case. and was how i lost the first of four tries. the edges got super rough and i ended up using it for practice to test out carving in designs with the dremel.

my original plan also was to cast my own gems for the crown using a mold i made with 3d prints. this also did not work for a wide variety of reasons and was just kind of a huge mess. the resin had gone bad, i didn’t sand the prints enough to have the finish i wanted, the colors were waaay more opaque than anticipated, and altogether it just did not work. so i found some gems i liked on etsy and ordered those instead!

on my second crown iteration i made it all the way through carving in settings for the gems before my spraypaint went bad and i got upset about the way the very small nicks became very big gashes when the foam was sealed. so i started over, this time getting a sharpening stone for my knife and focusing intensely on creating clean cuts the first time. the third iteration didn’t even make it past being cut out before i ditched it because i was still figuring out the clean cuts.

the fourth iteration had all of the things i wanted. clean cuts, smooth sealant, well fitting gem settings, and a nuanced paint job achieved using an airbrush and dry brushing techniques like ive used on all of the other gold accessories. the airbrush paint job was slow and steady, especially since the nozzle of my airbrush was just ever so slightly too small for the metallic pigments, but it was so worth it in the end.

after painting the base crown, i glued in the gems, painted a blue stripe to be the lapis shining through the engraved enchantments, and added in magnets to both the crown and the head.
i’m very excited by how it turned out!!

Artist Usopp who has the most vivid dreams of Sanji ever since he can remember, this mysterious blond growing alongside him in the unconscious world. So he grows up, goes to art school, gets his degree, and starts the path of a starving artist. Not a lot of people buy his art, but he keeps making it. He never liked showing the overwhelmingly large collection of sketches, paintings, 3D prints, carvings, clay figurines, literally anything he could make of Sanji. It felt too personal to show anyone, but people would inevitably see them, as he can't stop doodling the man. They keep saying that's what he should be promoting as his work and how people would pay big money for those, but he always doubted it.
A time came where he could feel the "starving artist" title a bit too literally. With regret, he took his friend's advice and sold a painting to some random guy. The man came back with a friend - lover of the arts and before Usopp knew it, he was selling the blond of his dreams to collectors and museums. He started making marble sculptures, now that he could afford it, like the blond was a greek god, an angel sent to feed him in his most desperate times. Usopp knew such a man didn't exist, but it was nice to have him in his dreams at least.
Well... that was until one day Luffy sent him a video. One of those memes where people went to galleries and posed with victorian portraits that looked like them. He captioned it with "lol rly thought it was him for a sec". Usopp thought this would be another video forgotten in the waves of spam Luffy liked to send, but as the different people went by, suddenly, Usopp felt cold sweat down his back. It was the blond. He looked exactly like the man in his dreams... no. that was the same man. He was absolutely sure of it. He had been drawing and studying that face, those hands, the colors and curves all his life. That was him!
He desperately tried finding him, but all he had was a private page and that was it. He couldn't get any clue as to who he was from the user name "LetHimCook" or the bio saying he was 21 and a rat and a cheff's hat emoji.
Usopp gave up hope for the time being as he was supposed to finish a project that was the biggest in his career so far.
The day to present it had come and Usopp stood there, nervous, talking about his art while snobbish-looking people hummed as if they understood anything about his life's work. Some of the asked questions that he absentmindedly answered, but then someone from the back, who Usopp couldn't see asked something that caught his attention.
"I have two questions if I may. Firstly, who is the inspiration to this "dream" collection? It seems to be more about a lover than actual dreams. And secondly, have you ever considered doing an auto portrait?"
The two unrelated questions caught him off guard, and he didn't know how to say anything about the first one without sounding insane, or the second - without sounding depressed.
"Uhm, interesting questions." Usopp cleared his throat. "You see, uh..." he tried finding the words but they died on his tongue when the asker came into view. It was him. "It's you." He said accidentally out loud.
"I beg your pardon?"
They look at each other for a long second. Usopp couldn't tear his eyes away from the blue haunting his every day and night. "Sorry, I- I didn't answer your uh-" Usopp stuttered, trying to keep any semblance of dignity he could. "I don't like doing self portraits, I've made a few but the model kind of sucks." The people laughed with him but the blond only gave a small smile.
"I would love to see them some time, as I'm sure I'm not the only one."
How could this man leave him speechless every time.
After the Q&A bit was over, Usopp tried his best to avoid small talk from the guests so he could get to the blond before he left. But by the time he got there, Sanji was talking to someone, it would have been extremely awkward to join in.
"Hey, Usopp!" The man who was talking to Sanji turned, and oh God it was Luffy.
The artist didn't know if he should be happy or a bit scared. Luffy dragged Usopp into the conversation and it started flowing quite easily. It was not long before Luffy left to see another friend of his but his absence didn't make it uncomfortable. Usopp learned the man's name, that he loved to cook and that he had been a fan of his work for a while.
Agreeing that Sanji would get a "private tour" or the rest of Usopps (not displayed works), the "party" ends.
On their way home, Luffy hits him with a "It was so funny seeing that guy flirt with you all night."
Usopp, stopping dead in his tracks: Who?
Luffy: Blond guy who kinda looks like your obsession drawings...
Usopp malfunctioning: .......... oh...... . .. . . ... OH!
When they finally arrange a date for the "private tour", Usopp keeps an open mind, trying to see if he really WAS flirting. But then they get to the half-assed self portraits Usopp made of himself and, honestly - Usopp never wanted to show them. He wasn't all that good-looking, he didn't like how they turned out, he hadn't put in any effort and most of them were more reminiscent of grotesque caricatures than the usual realistic beauty he was used to painting.
"They're not really - I mean I mostly made them out of boredom, I- I don't really like them and- and-" He tried to excuse himself, but when he looked at Sanji, he lost all his words. The blond was looking at the paintings and sketches with such awe and sympathy. He reached out to the painted face, the tips of his fingers barely grazing the surface.
He looked back at Usopp, causing his breath to catch in his throat.
"You're far too mean to yourself." Sanji said, faint, barely audible. His eyes widened slightly as the words escaped his lips as if he didn't mean to let them slip.
On instinct, the deep-rooted self-loading Usopp had harboured all these years bubbled just the slightest. "Haha, or maybe not enough."
But then Sanji turned to him seriously, lips in a thin line, a bit hurt. "In... in an interview you once said you're glad the public liked your art, because you wouldn't bare sharing a piece of your soul and seeing anyone insult the man who's haunted your dreams." A stuttering breath. "So, I'd like to request you don't insult the man from mine..."
Oh...

First bookbinding project a success. I think that my cat approves because he would not stay out of my photos. Five months in the making, but I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
I started with @armoredsuperheavy's amazing fanbinding tutorial to create a typeset of each work in @erisenyo's Burning Bright AU published on Ao3. Then had to reread the works in the new format and edit as I went to make sure everything was formatted correctly, (combined word count somewhere around 1.3 million) that took over a month all by itself.
I picked up a copy of Introduction to Bookbinding & Custom Cases by Tom and Cindy Hollander from my local library, to look at some detailed how to images and get multiple perspectives on construction methods. Excellent book, I do recommend.
My hunt for materials included a trip to Detroit with a side stop at Blick to look at decorative papers in person. Blick and the fine people at Hollander’s ended up having everything I needed to make covers. So between my brother kindly 3d printing me a punch cradle, making a DIY sewing frame of my own invention (courtesy of scrap lumber and a trip to the Lowe's hardware department), and three reams of late night printing, I managed to amass all my supplies.
Folding three reams of paper into signatures (the little bundles you sew together) takes about five days if you don't want to lose your mind or your place, and longer if you discover you need to fix things because that definitely happened. Then you get to unfold them to stab holes in them which is as terrifying at first and therapeutic by the end as it sounds.
Next came weeks of sewing books together, a magical process. I learned three new knots, repeatedly stabbed myself (because all forms of creation forcibly demand blood sacrifice) , and felt like I was roleplaying a monastic librarian from the time of Gutenburg. That's 600 years ago, 24ish generations, over 8million ancestors since then (by geometric progression, which excludes the possibility that any of my peasant ancestry is from small towns which is you know likely but I digress) and here I sat sewing pages together in a basement because story is the most sacred of human arts as it binds communities together and shapes perceptions of the self and our brethren, of outsiders allies and enemies, of the world as we know it and as it may come to be. Did I mention sewing books felt magical.
Then came the glue. So much glue. Multiple types of glue. All sticky. all stuck to me. I smeared glue with my fingers like a child.
At last it was time for the covers. Choosing combinations of the decorative papers and bookcloth and making sure I could get enough out of each material for what I needed. Precise cutting so many thanks to the architecture school professors who showed me how to properly cut chipboard. Then measuring and gluing, and more measuring, and more gluing. At last press a little groove by the spine and repeat eleven times.
Then I get to impress all my people with my latest and possibly coolest maker skill unlock, I am a book binder.

Bottom to top in the stack or left to right at the bottom are: These Things Written These Things Unsaid with Without Consent These Things Known with A Third Chance (or a First) Oh, The Way Your Makeup Stains My Pillowcase That Love You've Been Looking For All I Need Is To Be Struck (By Your Electric Love) To Open Every Door to Night, To Meet Each Rising Sun (my favorite) Love Is In the Hair (fanart of this one originally lead me to read the series, thanks @ash-and-starlight) Lessons in Proper Asset Management Tangled Up With You To Be Named, To Be Known (To Be Loved)

Hi 👋
I just wanted to tell you that your art and au's make me smile 🩵✨ what's your favorite work of art that you've created this year?
thank you so much! ; w ; that makes me happy! and i think maybe my favorite thing was the swanatello finale? / just the au in general! i didn't make the entire thing in 2024, but i did finish it this year, and it felt absolutely insane (in a mostly good way...!) to actually finish the project... i miss it a lot sometimes, but i'm really happy with how it ended and would much rather give a story a satisfying conclusion than drag it around like a popular tv sitcom on it's 11th season, if that makes sense.
thank you!!!! ; w ; this makes me happy and i'm glad you like it!!!!! i need to make more clover crown content... soon... it's coming... i promise... @arelenforyadarlin
thank you! ; 0 ; i'm very glad that i did it justice! i am pretty forgetful due to my adhd, but i also tried to do a lot of research along the way about more pervasive memory issues more akin to what donnie was dealing with, so i'm very happy that it all came across well...!
you guys all have permission to stab gemini!big mama if you ever see her <3 also thank you!
i work at a 3D printing company! i do all the silly administration and paperwork stuff, and, despite failing math in high school, some of the accounting stuff, too.
i KNOWWW, they're stealing my fucking brand :/// feels legally actionable to me tbh. they'll be hearing from my lawyers... @thejade-forest
THE GEMINI TWINS CAN DO IT AND THEY BELIEVE IN YOU-- YOU CAN DO IT, TOO!!!! also shaking ur hand re: period-related medical issues and suffering. also training in MMA is incredibly badass?! :000 NICE.
Technically speaking, no. However, the Hidden City Police did find the twins just wandering around the city-- and since she's got, like, 80% of the police force on her payroll, she of course heard about it right away... @serendipitous-posts
GOOD JOB NAILING THE PRETEXT :D I'm glad my silly lil AU was helpful, hehe :3c
I'm originally from Massachusetts! My favorite color is pink and I've been making art for most of the my life. One of the main things driving me is that I just really love stories and characters and wanna force people to pay attention to all the silly lil situations happening to make-believe people in my head. Don't think I could pick a favorite fanart, since they are all so beloved... ; w ; Any version of Donnie is my favorite. I wanna go live in the Pokemon World, I think I try to find a healthy balance between 'doing my own thing' and 'is there an audience for this content?' Also! Great question! Uhhh... for TMWN, what truly started me on that road was that I Didn't Wanna Have To Draw Turtles. For the Gemini, I was very much inspired by the Even More of a Disaster AU! And for Swanatello, as I've stated in the past... I just wanted to make a silly donniesona with a pun for a name... and then things got out of hand... @sweetnsoursinger
nooo don't ooze my tortoiseeee i'm not ready to be a parentttttt i don't wanna live in the sewerssssss noooooooooooo-- @thebloodyheartgirl
emd two is way less insufferable than one--
(it's more like... two and donnie have a lot of common ground with science and mystical studies, so they are capable of getting along pretty well...! and leo automatically feels some sense of protection and affection for two just because... well... he's a version of donnie!
but. uhhh. one... not so much. it is... complicated...)
it was FINE... i mean. it SUCKED, he didn't LIKE it, it took the whole ass day and was painful and exhausting and scary. but there were no huge medical scares or complications or anything, so in the grand scheme, it went pretty smoothly? not that they had much to compare it to...
leo's went WAY smoother though, much quicker and easier than donnie's, (plus just one egg!) and donnie was so fucking annoyed at him for it. @jollycrowntragedy
It's based on their actual genetic/physical ages, for the most part! For Mikey and Venus, Draxum already knew exactly how old all of the turtles were when he got them, (he's a scientist, for goodness sake,) so he could roughly translate that into their 'post-mutation' ages, with Mikey being a bit older. For Raph, Leo, and Donnie, it was a lot more guesswork based for their respective caretakers... The fact that Donnie is the 'older twin,' for example, is completely arbitrary.
Jeni joined the Draxum family at a later date than the rest of the turtles and wasn't present during the original mutation process. She was mutated and 'adopted' as an infant about two years after the initial mutation event-- when Mikey was around three and Venus was about two. @kingofgemini
I do! Here's a post I made previously about the comic making procress for Gemini-- some things have changed a little since then, but most of it is pretty much the same...! If you're looking for the textures specifically, I'd check out the link I've got in the bottom for True Grit Texture Supply, which is where I got a bunch of my brushes. (If you sign up for their email list, then they'll send you a bunch of brushes for free, including a lot of the ones that I use in my comics!) @avisminutia
THANK YOU... ; _ ; THIS MAKES ME VERY VERY HAPPY... I AM GLAD...

So, I know this blog has been inactive for a while. Unfortunately, between work, other projects, and a lack of motivation, I just don't have the regular time or effort to devote to this blog. Setting up the polls takes a lot of time, and I just... can't.
I have a job now, with incredibly inconsistent scheduling. I'm hopefully starting grad school this fall. I've gotten more interested in more artistic projects, including creative writing, digital art, sims 4 cc, 3d printing, crochet, cross-stitch, etc.
I will NOT be deleting this blog, and if anyone wants to join as like an moderator to keep it running, I would be happy to discuss that. But I can't keep running it all just because of how my life has changed.

so tired of 3d printing nerds acting like it's the "greatest rapid prototyping tool" as if anything will ever compare to the glory of foam board and hot glue. yeah your fancy new corexy printer or whatever is cool but stop acting like printing out waifu figurines off thingiverse is the embodiment of the maker spirit. if your house isn't full of electronics that look like middle school science fair projects you can't really call yourself a maker.
