I find it funny how Show Jace just went and overlooked the more obvious succession threat to him, to the point I have seen lots of people from the fandom talking about it but never him

It's more or less a show only threat because in the book they were older and they adored him but imo Jace if you're that worried about threats to your succession after Rhaenyra dies, your younger half-brothers Aegon the Younger and Viserys are there. They look Targaryen (way more than the Dragonseeds), are children of 2 Targaryen, at least one of them has a dragon already (even if baby)... and i mean, the parallels?

Rhaenyra's younger half-brother Aegon usurped her although she was clearly the heir in all aspects. Like, Show Jace just needed to change "woman" to "bastard" in his mind and it's almost the same situation 😭 Yet he doesn't even consider it and only acknowledge the Dragonseeds, a potential future threat -even though in that what if scenario Rhaenyra would still be alive to try dealing with it- but necessary at the moment, something Book Jace seemed to understand given it was his idea.

I don't know maybe they just wanted to make him feel like a hypocrite or focus on how he loathes himself so much that he directs it to the Seeds and the point wasn't necessarily that he's that worried about them as much as it reinforced his doubts and identity problems.

Like Show Jace doesn't even interact with his half-brothers or acknowledge their existence at all in the whole series while in the book he literally plans for their total safety and SPOILER giveshislifetryingtosaveviserys SPOILER.

Jace loved them and they loved him (and Luke and Joff) in return.

And maybe they wanted to go with the route of him being insecure about them as obvious legitimate children of his mother and Daemon but No. Nothing. He doesn't even remember them when they're the more obvious threat, an almost identical parallel to what happened with his mother. You would think Show Jace would have a lot to say about this to Rhaenyra but no. Irrelevant.

Idk I feel it's just the writers forgetting again that Aegon the Younger and Viserys exist 😭

Cybervampire Megatron feeds on Soundwave

Behold the yet worse pinnacle/ditch of my fall from grace.

I once made a drawing of cybervampire/not dead terrorcon Megatron (like it happened to Airachnid) for an exchange (it's horror type/dead dove I guess because of depiction of mild torture) and now it spawned an AU in my mind.

My old deeply rooted inclinations stemmed new branches and I intend to indulge into them to the worst/best of my ability. Thus, you'll be seeing this my otp, as well as other transformers content, painted in black with the fluids dripping of those thorned stems.

I love vampires, and my mind told me vampire Megatron was as alluring as vampire Airachnid. Furthermore, there's my fascination with Megasound/Megawave. In vampire lore, there's nothing as intimate and sensual as drinking blood, and then it's the perfect pathway to sexless/asexual creatures to get into a sort of not organic erotism (as well as other erotic/fetishist practices but I'll explore that dungeon later on), as I do not embrace the popular fan concepts of humanization (as in organic/primal-instincts derived attributes) in interaction between Cybertronians in love-like relationships.

In this Cybervampire Au, Megatron got infected during the events of "Thirst", but not killed. Then he's some sort of living terrorcon, a vampiricon if you wish (I can imagine Miko naming him like that), just like Airachnid, but, given his tolerance to dark Energon and his synthesis with it, he's now even mightier, and not infectious unless he kills. I explain this as Megatron's systems/biomechanism being somehow different, hence why dark energon works in him conversely to other bots. Given that the coalesced energon that Knockout made contains dark energon, getting infected by its resulting chemical disease/mutation also works out differently in him.

On another regard, the plot of gothic horror where vampire masters control zombies finds its parallel, since Megatron was already able to do that.

As for the Megasound element, I've already suggested the innerent deepness that can be attributed to the act of blood/energon drinking. Specially when its given willingly. The symbolism, the possibilities of sensorial play.

When circumstances lead to this, Soundwave is, of course, honoured to be source of food to his Master, and he submittes himself to an extreme regime of fueling: Only the most refined and purest energon enters his body, so he'll be in optimal condition, therefore high quality and scrumptious food to his Lord. Perhaps he eventually becomes too invested in it, while consciously ignoring the veiled zealousness. No one should take the responsibility but him. No one is more qualified, or as committed to Lord Megatron as himself, therefore is only befitting that his life is laid to him in more than a sense. Everyone else is dubious, capable or prone to betrayal, or inefficient idiots, and like the hell he's letting anyone else have that sort of intimacy with Megatron. Every time Megatron gets overtaken by hunger and tries to take a prey he would be like: "no, my Lord, that scum is suboptimal and inadequate. Here's my neck"

I intend to create and write several works into this Au, with a collection of short stories in Ao3.

The adventures of goofball mcchucklefuck part 1, aka, art dump of myself / evil me stuff that I’ve drawn over the past 2 years! That I either never finished or just never posted! I’m gonna try my best to sort these in chronological order. But… I kinda forget exactly when I drew a few of them. Mostly it should all be correct tho.

Honestly I'd rather Twigbranch stay with Violetshine than go back to ThunderClan. Barely anyone actually liked her, Jayfeather canonically ostracized her so her peers didn't like her either. Plus it makes no sense to want to go back to the clan responsible for seperating her and her sister so callously- which even led to Violetshine ending up in a cult. Not to mention Ivypool sabotaging the SkyClan quest to beef with Dovewing. :/ I can't even say this is a found family L because Twigbranch's positive relationships in TC are almost nonexistant lol.

they cant even pretend its a found family story because the erins are so obsessed with blood dominating any friendships, that in darkest night, they have to remove hawkwing, violetshine, and the rest of their paternal family from the lake to artificially make twig feel lonely in skyclan. they actually downplay her relationship with grandma tinycloud to make it work by going “well tiny is a mom again so twig cant talk to her. for some reason. we definitely dont want you looking at the family tree or anything.”

I was re(re-re-re...)-reading Artificial Condition, in particular the section after Tapan gets shot in Tlacey's shuttle.

The way ART steps in to clean up the mess really reminds me of a DM (Dungeon Master) who has to take over with a NPC (Non-Player Character) to fix a disastrous situation caused by the players. Yes, I am speaking from experience here ^^'

In this scene, Murderbot really f*cked up by miscalculating and endangering Tapan. As a result, she's dying and ART is the only one in any position to help unf*ck the situation. We get a glimpse of how overpowered ART really is, as it fools the station's Port Authority, pretends to be Seth, forges the identity of Tlacey's crew, remote operates the shuttle, wipes its bot pilot's memory and forges all sort of records. All the while preparing its medical facilities and safely retrieving Murderbot and Tapan.

By the time we were on approach to the transit ring, ART had cleared us with the ring’s Port Authority. Shuttles weren’t supposed to be able to dock with transports without advance notice, but ART took care of approach permission, and forged its captain’s feed signature to pay the fine for not giving prior notice of the scheduled trip. They didn’t suspect anything; nobody knew transports could have bots sophisticated enough to fake being human in the feed. I sure hadn’t known it. [...] ART had sent drones to scrub and sterilize away my fluids and Tapan’s blood from the shuttle’s interior. ART had already wiped the bot pilot’s memory and deleted any security data. It was also chatting casually with transit ring launch authority with a forged feed signature from one of the dead humans. (Artificial Condition, Martha Wells)

If this were a tabletop RPG session, Tapan would only get to live because she's important to the plot and the DM needs her for the rest of the story (plot armor). Except, this is a book, not a game session and Tapan is only important to Murderbot who is beating itself up for f*cking up so badly and getting her (nearly) killed.

And that's what I find beautiful about this scene. ART is not stepping in because the plot needs Tapan or because it personally cares about her, but because it cares about Murderbot and therefore cares about the things and people that Murderbot cares about.

Martha Wells could have gone the usual way of fridging a character for the sake of providing the protagonist with some trauma to deal with and make them interesting. Instead, she cleverly twisted the trope in such a way that it provides excellent characterization for ART and more insight into ART and Murderbot's relationship. Or should I say "mutual administrative assistance"? 😅

By the way, this is as desperate and helpless Murderbot gets in the novels:

(sorry for leaving y’all in suspense I was grocery shopping) Surprise!! I accidentally got into Len’en like two weeks ago. Whoops! I got ideas for cool drawings to do with each of the BPoHC shrine team members (and you-know-who, ofc, but that one might be… weird lol), but Tsubakura gets to go first cause theirs is the simplest; just greyscale + red color scheme with a split background and the pose is mostly random (maybe they’re squishing Tsurubami’s little eye thing? Idk). Very pleased with how everything worked out; the line for the eye is exactly where the dividing line for the background was and the way I managed to make the vest corseted while not changing the ribbon placement is just perfect. Although I did make their hat smaller out of the aforementioned cowardice also that thing is hard to draw

couldn’t sleep so I drew a small comic! this is for my AU where metal sonic disguises himself as his own sonic oc named nova to infiltrate team sonic and steal their life data stealthily instead of doing sonic heroes and. uh well. she both transed her gender and also may or may not have realised some Confusing Feelings she had. this is the end of shadow in this au, where metal/nova (you can use them interchangeably she shifts form a lot and she’s represented as both in this comic) saves sonic and co from the black arms larvae, since she wasn't affected by the paralytic gas by virtue of not having a respiratory system. it’ll definitely be refined but i just. know exactly the emotions and tone of this scene. and yes it’s gay as hell intentionally this is the closest she can get to a love confession (considering she’s Very Inhuman mentally and also aroace as shit)

and like to clarify I’m calling whatever the fuck they’re going on gay bc 1 it’s a qpr very heavily influenced by them both being aroace and 2 metal is nonbinary transfem and multigender she's every gender and therefore it is straight gay and neither at once.

it turns out vampires can get kinda drunk or high off anomalous blood. neat. uhhh... not sure which though. hard to tell. shes been loopy for the last hour.

Related but how do you get blood drool out of a jacket?

What material is the jacket?

For leather, you're gonna want to blot it clean (not rub! blot!) with a clean rag, then go over it with a leather cleaner on a fine-bristled brush (i use a toothbrush for this, but a nail brush works well too!) Then let it dry for five minutes, and use another clean rag to massage in leather conditioner. Let it sit for five minutes, and then wipe off any excess.

For cloth, spray it with hydrogen peroxide and then soak it overnight in VERY cold water, don't futz with it, don't rub it, and DON'T put it in hot water or the proteins will set. Rinse it and repeat if the stain is still visible.

Yeah, we're seeing some...aftereffects from MISSI's blood. Don't drink the blood, people. If you or a friend already did, make sure the person is safe, in a quiet, calm environment, and keep them hydrated. Try and keep them talking about and describing what they're feeling, and maybe look up some grounding techniques online. Basic trip-sitting, mostly; it's essentially a mildly bad X trip. Hope your friend feels better soon <33.
