Devlog #1 📚 The Very First Devlog

We announced Truth Scrapper with a beautiful trailer this month!!! The response has been absolutely incredible, thank you so much for following me on another funky memory adventure. Throughout the development of ISAT, I have written monthly devlogs on Steam, talking about the making of the game. People liked them a bunch, so…

That’s right. It’s time. For the Very First Truth Scrapper devlog!

In case you just stumbled upon this, I am Adrienne, also known as insertdisc5! I am the creator of timeloop RPG In Stars and Time, and now am working on my next game, memory visual novel Truth Scrapper. It’s gonna be a good one.

Alright! Development talk time. Where’s the game at?!?!

So, right now, I have just finished writing the script for Day 4, so I "only" have the art, code, and implementation to do for that day. Truth Scrapper is divided in 7 days, with three different routes you can go through from Day 6 onwards. So really, I need to write and code 11 days. Which puts me at almost ⅓ through development! WOAHRGH!?? At this point, I know where the story is going, I know what each route will consist of, etc. I just don’t know the Details. The portraits are all done, backgrounds are done sequentially for every day, gameplay is all figured out… TLDR: It’s In Good Shape!!!

TRUTH SCRAPPER TIMELINE

DEC 2022: I finish ISAT around NOV 2022. I get an idea. I write it down. It was going to be an RPG but nobody got time for that. Main themes and ending are here. I work on pre-production very slowly over the next couple months (because I am recovering from finishing ISAT and still gotta keep working on post-production stuff for ISAT)

JULY 2023: Ok fine let's make a renpy file and figure out if the most important gameplay thing can be done. AKA: can I make a book menu where the game remembers the choices you make, and how complicated is that gonna be for me to add to it down the line. It works and I am happy

AUGUST 2023: Character design. They look Not Great and character design takes me like nine months. Plot is getting somewhere though!

NOV 2023: In Stars and Time comes out. People like it I think.

MARCH 2024: I decide I need to work on something, and decide to work on that and apply for the Ontario Creates grant. This game is actually starting for realsies!!!!!!!

MAY 2024: I actually lock down character designs.

JUNE 2024: I hire Dora, who was the producer of In Stars and Time and who rules.

SEPT 2024: I work on da gaem

MAY 2025: Day 3 is implemented. We announce the game. Now we’re here!!!!

LIAR — EIGHT

Word count: 2.2k

Summary: Y/n who was birthed by Pennywise, is now acting like a normal orphan teenage girl living in Derry. Until her friends managed to find out about her little secret.

Warnings: Mentions of gore, cussing, ofc

Honestly this is so cringe, I published this back in March of 2024 since it was a request and I'm too lazy to write new fics of Finn Wolfhard HAHAHAH this one has alot of time skips so, ew.

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐋 town in Maine, called Derry. Little kids played and ran around the parks, in their back yards, their front yards, big kids biking and beung huge douchebags to the other kids.

Its a normal summer day in Derry. There was one particular house where everyone knew. It was the L/n's house. Everyone knew it because of how sophisticated and elegant their house looked.

And how rich and high classed their family was. One problem though, is Mrs. L/n, couldnt produce their own babies, due to her having an illness. But they have found a kid, a girl. They found her in a orphanage 3 years ago. She was 3 at that time.

Her name was Y/n. She had pale white glassy skin, with h/c hair, and beautiful e/c eyes. Everyone called her ghost kid, because of how pale she was. She git bullied in pre-k but she met a boy.

Richie. They were now 6, and it was summer 1979, Y/n was on the treehouee, looking down at Richie who was declining his father's help.

"Richie, be careful!" Y/n giggled as she watched her best friend struggle going up.

"Trust me Y/n, I can do this!"

Richie exclaimed as he tried to climb up a ladder, leading up to their treehouse. Normally, Richie and Y/n's dad would help them go up and down the treehouse.

He finally got up proudly and sat next to her with a smile that could light up the entire world. "See, I told you I could do it!" He raised his hand for a high five.

Y/n high fived him back and they started talking about things that happened from the past. "Do you have baby pictures?" Richie asked suddenly. Y/n shook her head. "No. I was.. A.. Adoopteed? Adopted!" She answered back.

"What does that mean?" Richie asked as he stared at her with a confused expression. "It meant a new family took me. I dont know where my real mommy and daddy is.." She frowned.

Richie shrugged and hugged her tightly. "Well, even if you knew your real mama and papa, I'd still be friends with you!" He pulled away and Y/n stook her pinky out. "Pinky promise to always be friends!"

Richie gladly accepted and intwined his pinky finger with hers, locking it as he stared into her eyes.

As Y/n walked along the halls, she came across the Losers. She didn't really care about them. Yet she does care about one of them. Her childhood best friend, Tozier. Trashmouth Tozier. Broken Promise-er Tozier.

She tried her best to not look, and she quickly walked past them. Richie on the other hand, glanced over at her. He still remembers all of the memories they had created. Hell, he still keeps the shit Y/n gave him when they were little.

Once Y/n had gotten the news of Bill's brother being missing, Y/n automatically knew that IT was back. She quickly ran to the barrens to check if he was there.

Y/n made it after running almost 7 miles. She quickly splashed around the water until she was in the shadows of the sewers. "... Pen.." She lit her cigarette and she came face to face with a clown, upside down and its face distorted.

"Haha, very funny. Why the fuck are you doing this again!?" Y/n exclaimed. "What? After I... Got back from my.. Business trip? Can I atleast get a snack?" Pennywise smirked wildly.

"Sleeping for 27 fucking years, leaving your so called 'daughter' which is me, alone, and getting sent to an orphanage,is not a business trip! And I will not address myself as your daughter." She cursed the clown in front of her.

Pennywise quickly fixed his face and stood, towering over her. "Why not? You came from my rib." He opened his own torso and showed his set of ribs, and one was missing. Y/n cringed and stared at him with disgust.

"That. Thats the whole reason why I dont want to be classified as your daughter." Y/n answered as she pointed at him up and down. Pennywise pretended he was hurt. "I just want you to carry my legacy if ever someone kills me." He smiled delightfully. "But I have my freedom to do that or no." She answered back, then she suddenly heard kids from outside of the barrens.

"Go!" Y/n whisper shouted. "I knew it, you are still worried for me!" He clapped like a little child. "Go." Y/n said sternly and Pennywise quickly drifted to the darkness. Y/n quickly rushed out and was face to face with Bill.

"oh." She muttered. "W-.. What are you doing here?" Bill asked as he pointed the flash light at Y/n's face. She stepped back a bit and looked at him annoyed. "Damn, you're wearing rich girl shit but you're here splashing around Derry shit."

Richie chuckled and Y/n didn't respond but just rolled her eyes. "Move." She mumbled and bumped Richie's shoulder as she walked away. Her socks were surprisingly not wet yet though.

"Wha- the fuck is your problem?" Richie said a bit offended. "Sorry." She mumbled before high fiving Stan. "Stan, my mom said to invite you and your parents over tomorrow night." She quickly said and Stan held her hand, as they both didn't let go.

"U-Uh.. Yeah. I'll tell my parents." He quickly answered. "Great, I'll see you on your Bar Mitzvah too." She lets go of his hand and Stan smiled like a little child. She quickly exited the scene and Stan looked over at Richie.

He was annoyed look yet he continued to look around the sewers.

Y/n was with Bev the next day. They were at the park and Bev was telling Y/n that she was with the losers. "I see you bad eyeing them. Whats wrong?" The two girls were at the local ice cream shop next to where they were sitting.

"Well.. I'm not mad at all of them. Maybe just one of them." Y/n tapped her shoes together as she answered. "Who, Richie?" Bev guessed and Y/n nodded. "Yeah"

"Oh.. Why?" Bev asked while she paid for both of hers and Y/n's Soft Serve. She gave the cone to Y/n who happily accepted. "Uh.. Maybe because, we used to be best friends when we were little but then he became a total douchebag and.. Acted like I didnt exit." Y/n replied and shrugged her shoulders.

Bev frowned at her, and sat closer to her. "Maybe you wanna go to the quarry with me and the losers? I'm the only girl, and it's sooooooo embarrassing!" She held

Y/n's hand and Y/n sighed. "Fine. I'll go."

Bev smiled happily and they continued on their day.

Y/n and Bev biked their way to the quarry. When we got there, the boys were already snickering on who's going first. Bev and Y/n gestured to each other to keep quiet. They started taking off their dresses and shoes. They held hands and Y/n exclaimed quickly.

"We'll go!" They all turned back and Richie and Bill's eyes widened. They made a gap and the two girls quickly jumped together. Y/n closed her eyes and Bev clutched her fists.

They quickly landed the water and they swam up and giggled. "What the fuck, we just got stood up by not one, but two girls!" Richie exclaimed. They had no choice but to jump one by one.

Once all of them were in the water, they all swam happily. Y/n saw Ben pull Bill onto his shoulder and suddenly, she felt someone between her feet. She looked down desperately and suddenly, she felt her thighs being pulled and then Richie stood up.

Y/n was on his shoulders and now was trying to balance herself by holding on to his hair a bit. "Wh- Richie what the fuck!?" Y/n grew red but he gripped on her thighs. "Just shut up and defeat those two!" Y/n just gave in and started to chicken fight Bill.

After they were all finished swimming, the two girls started sun bathing, while listening to the radio. The boys were staring. When the two realized, they looked over where they quickly retorted, trying to hide that they were staring earlier.

Y/n chuckled and sat up. Richie noticed Ben's bag was full of papers and folders. They all started talking about past events... Some of which are connected to It.

It has been a few days since the day when Bill and Richie fought. Y/n have been with Richie these past few days. It was nice for us to come in touch again. Even though Richie had become a huge pervert.

Y/n then went to the well. Quickly going down to where Pennywise was. "Pen, what the fuck did you do to Eds!?" She quickly exclaimed as she dusted her white dress, which had been a bit ragged, looking similar to the one Pennywise was wearing.

"I'm sorry. It was just funny to see them like that." Its voice roared around. The bodies of the other kids were floating. Georgie's in the middle. Y/n couldn't help but feel remorse for Bill.

"Look up, you'll see someone else." It started laughing and that was when Y/n realized Bev, floating. "You took Bev!?"

"And your friends are coming. They're almost here. You want them to find out your dirty secret, child?" Pennywise appeared behind her. Y/n got chills and gulped as she felt his hand on her.

"But you know I'll never hurt you."

"But dont hurt them!" She answered back, not turning back to make eye contact.

"I can't promise that!" He laughed maniacally. "Y/n, go away!" She heard behind her. She quickly whipped her head and saw Its torso was open, and behind him was The Losers.

Her eyes widened and Pennywise quickly pulled Y/n's wrist, pulling her away. "Pen- wait! Augh!" She used all her might to pull away. "Y/n!" Richie quickly ran over to It. "Richie- dont!" Y/n was held up by two bodies who were unconscious.

Y/n looked down and saw the other losers fighting for their lives. She quickly escaped the grasp of the two corpses and dropped quickly onto the floor. She passed out and Richie ran towards her.

While Bill was having an existential crisis about Georgie, who was in front of him, his arm was missing and he looked tired, Richie on the other hand, was trying his best to make sure Y/n was still alive.

IM LAZY

Beverly was awakened by Ben, by kissing her softly on the lips. It was a disgusting sight for Y/n and Richie cause they DID NOT expect that.

Beverly had found a sharp rod which she held and waited for a time where she could stab It. When she finally got the freedom too, she stabbed It in the throat and Y/n covered her mouth.

Pennywise looked at them and said ".. Y/-.. Y/n." Everyone looked at her and her eyes widened. He then screamed loudly and..

Pennywise was now defeated by a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds. After a bit of staring at each other, they quickly exited the lair. They couldn't save the other kids, they're fucking dead.

Once they were out, Richie held Y/n's hands. "I'm sorry for being a.. Whole.. Douchebag.. But.. I missed you. Alot. And-"

"It knows you!?" Mike chimed in, screeching at Y/n. Y/n got startled and let go of Richie's hands. "U-Uh..." "Yeah, Y/n..its.. Weird." Eddie retorted. "Well.. U-uhm.." Y/n looked down. "Maybe you guys will know in the future."

"It is back. It's come back and is now more powerful." Y/n and Richie stared at each other. Y/n gulped and a tear fell down her cheek. "We'll.. We'll go.."

The Losers had a reunion. They told each other life stories, and.. They were addressed that Stan was gone later on.

They had found out more history about Pennywise. And how to stop him forever. They decided to do the ritual. But it always cost a life. But they knew they could do it without losing someone.

Eddie and Richie were down in one side. Y/n stared in horror at It. "Y/N!" It jumped happily. "You're back!" Y/n's demeanor quickly changed and threw the spear at It. It quickly turned around and was aiming its claw at Eddie. Without thinking, Y/n quickly ran over and blocked its claw.

Instead of Eddie being stabbed, it was Y/n

"Holy shit! Y/n!" Richie exclaimed. Pennywise quickly retracted his claw and looked at her, all bloody. "You got me Pen." She chuckled and looked up at It. "You won tag!" She clapped lowly, she felt her breath becoming to slow down.

Richie took her in his arms and cried, while holding her hand.

A Year of Animation Day 75: The Dragon Prince S7E1-4

I know I'm about to start an argument here, but I really like season 7. I love seeing how everything comes together. We get to find out about the orphan queen (is this why Katolis has a law that only orphans can ascend to the throne? I still think it's weird), we get more history about Katolis and Xadia, and things from the first and second seasons come back to haunt us. Season 7 is also where I realized that arc 2 is a whole hell of a lot darker than arc 1. Is it just season 7? Or does it slowly descend into darkness and you don't realize it because you're in the pot as it boils? Regardless, a lot of people have to make a lot of tough decisions, and I have a lot of feels. Let's get into it.

I think my favorite bit of animation here was when Astrid removed her blindfold and saw the sun for the first time, so bright that it was almost too much for her. I think my favorite episode of these is "Unfinished Business." I've found that this show does a really good job of playing similar plotlines against one another, and I like how both Rayla and Terry have to find a way to stand up for theirselves, their choices, and their beliefs, even if it means burning bridges. Both narratives also highlight the general theme of love over strength and do so via a story about ghosts. Furthermore, the way Terry takes in the two shimmercrow hatchlings reminds me of Tobias morphing the mother rabbit in The Pretender. And I like the New Moon Ceremony. I like how Rayla faces the literal ghosts to remove her metaphorical ghost status.

As far as things coming full circle, this is where we learn that Claudia had, as a child, a map to the Garden of the Innocents. We learn that only someone with a true heart can see the map, and it leads to a unicorn graveyard. Which is likely how Claudia once aquired a unicorn horn for Viren (back in season 2). And when they go to the Puzzle House, they learn that Kpp'Ar was practicing self-eating, which is why he had a bandage on his arm in last season's flashback when Viren took the staff from him.

"Death Alive" was another opportunity for The Dragon Prince to create a major conflict between Callum and Rayla. As soon as she promised that she wouldn't leave for the Silvergrove without him, my husband and I both thought something was going to get in the way. Like Runaan just taking off by himself and Rayla having to follow him. Instead, Rayla makes him go with her to Katolis because, as she (re)states what Runaan told her, "I made a promise to the human I love." This, of course, leads to Runaan being imprisoned and the first of Callum and Rayla's Big Choices: whether or not to break him out. I really like the scene in which Rayla tells him she wouldn't ask him for help, and he answers with, "you don't have to ask."

Callum here, is a foil to Miyana, who has been going along with what her lover has wanted and now has to make the Big Choice of whether to continue. In this case, she decides that raising her child is now more important to her than any plans of revolution, and I think Karim's description of their son as his "heir" is really telling of his priorities. I also think the big difference here between Miyana and Callum, both agreeing to break the law to help the person they love, is that Miyana seems to have stolen the sun seed specifically for Karim, whereas Callum has his own reasons for helping Runaan--he doesn't do it just because he loves Rayla. He does it because he thinks it's the right thing to do.

Which is the conflict that Terry finds himself in and the Big Choice he has to make. Up to now, Terry has gone along with what Claudia is doing because he loves her. And he's been rationalizing the hell out of things because he loves her. But we see, even as early as the "Death Alive," that this reationalization is getting harder and harder. He backs away from Aravos. And he provides Claudia with his opinion. Up to now, he's told her that she needs to make these decisions on her own, though he will support her, whatever she decides. But now he tells her he thinks its a bad idea because it will continue a cycle of vengence and violence. And he continues to discourage her from engaging in dark magic--such as using Kpp'Ar's story about giving it up. Terry's morals are slowly becoming stronger than his love, and in "The Glittering Bones," he hits his tipping point and has to make his Big Choice.

But going back to Miyana and Karim, Janai and Ezran are faced with Big Choices regarding their prisoners and the conflicts with their brothers. Fortunately for them, they each have an advisor (Amaya and Anya respectively) to assist them in this process. I do like that Janai agrees to pardon the army that goes with Miyana, and I think her mercy shows fruit here--the soldiers do seem ready to take their second chances, and even Miyana, once she is granted amnesty, is ready to accept the life she has been given in order to raise her child, leaving Karim as the only holdout, and Janai trapped between pardoning the leader of the rebellion and execuiting her own brother.

I do think that in real life, this would be an even more difficult situation. That is to say, we approve of Janai's actions and disapprove of Karim's because we are guided to these opinions. Janai is written as a hero and Karim as a villain. But in another story, Karim might be written as a hero (peraps the story of Marcus, who is forced to wear a broken link when Viren becomes king in season 3). Certainly from his point of view, he is in the right not to back down. So I think that we should ask ourselves: how do we know? How do we know that we're Marcus or Karim? Janai or Viren?

I think the answer lies in Harrow's words about strength and vulnerability. We must ask ourselves: are our actions out of love or strength? Do do they build up others around us? Or only ourselves? Are we defending and supporting the vulnerable? Or tearing them down? I think that when we know we are acting out of love, rather than strength or vengence (like Callum, defending Runaan), we know we are making the right decision. Of course, ever since Callum acquired the ocean arcanum, this has also been an ever increasing theme in the show--you don't know if you're making the right decision. On some level, you never do.

I feel like seeing Viren again was a turning point for Ezran. It was the first time he approached someone purely out of anger and revenge. But for the most part, he still believed in creating a narrative of love, rather than a narrative of revenge. Until Katolis burned. Honestly, I think I felt about as shocked as Callum and Rayla when he demanded Runaan be imprisoned for killing Harrow, so I was grateful for Anya. Come to think of it, she plays a role a little like Terry here. Up to this point, she has only offered her support and told Ezran he had to find his own path. But here, she finally offers wisdom--to let Callum go--which ultimately helps lead Ezran back to the path of love over strength.

Finally, the scene in which Ethari and Runaan reunite reminds me so much of the end of Peter Pan, when Wendy and the boys return to find that when their mother sees them, she doesn't believe her own eyes. She's seen them so many times in her dreams, she says, that she can no longer tell if she's dreaming or if she's awake (those of you who have seen Hook may remember this line from that movie as well.) I felt like Ethari had been through a similar experience in mourning Runaan.

July 2: Sun Square Lunar Nodes

Remember the Eclipses we had back in March and April? This is our time to reflect back on those months and see where we have landed. If you set intentions at this time, this would be the perfect day to go back and reflect on your progress. If things haven’t quite happened for you just yet, don’t despair; there is energy on this day that can help you to look at things in a new way or to take a new direction to achieve your goals and dreams. If the Eclipses of that time were particularly difficult, you could receive some information or support now that brings deeper understanding, or perhaps you may feel closer to receiving the closure you need.

July 2: Neptune Retrograde

Neptune enters retrograde in Pisces. This is a subtle energy that will help to expose what is bubbling underneath. Neptune Retrograde can lift the veil, helping us to see what is really at play. Illusions can come crashing down, or we can start to see that things weren’t what we thought them to be. While this can be a confronting energy to deal with, Neptune Retrograde can also inspire a new creativity, allowing us to see to see answers and solutions rather than blocks and barriers. Neptune will remain in retrograde until December 7th.

July 2: Mercury enters Leo

Mercury, the planet of communication enters passionate and heart-driven Leo. Our heart connection can strengthen under this energy, allowing us to more effectively communicate how we are feeling and what our heart is longing for. This is a good time to ask your heart what it needs and listen or journal the response. What you discover may very well bring a deep ah-ha.

July 2-7: Sirius Gateway

The magical Sirius gateway is activated during the first week of July, however it is strongest on July 4th. This is a powerful Star Gateway that helps to raise our vibration and unlock higher wisdom. Sirius is known as our Spiritual Sun, so under this energy, we can recharge both our soul and body. Sirius is also connected to the vibration of freedom and higher technology. If you are looking to step into a more authentic space, this energy can help with that. If you work in the tech space or want to innovate in the tech space, this energy can also be very advantageous. July 5: Cancer New Moon

A beautiful, soft New Moon comes to remind us that it’s never too late to begin again. There is beautiful energy circling under this New Moon, encouraging us to stay optimistic and to see the softer side. How can we soften our anxieties and see the world from a more loving lens? Loving ourselves is a good place to start. This New Moon will help to amplify the high vibrational energies coming in from the Sirius Gateway. Use this energy to recharge your spirit and to set intentions for the months ahead.

July 6: Venus Square Chiron

Venus in Cancer will Square Chiron in Aries, creating some tension, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. But not all tension is bad. This tension feels productive and is there to guide us to deeper healing when it comes to our relationships and the giving and receiving of love in our lives. This is very active energy that can help us take our healing to a new level.

July 11: Venus in Leo

Venus enters passionate Leo! Venus in Leo is a great time to put ourselves out there, focus on our appearance, and to be more fun and playful! Channel this energy by spending time with those that bring out the best in you. Allow yourself to feel pampered and beautiful, and let your playfulness come through.

July 11: Sun Trine Saturn

The Sun and Saturn come into a trine alignment, allowing us to be productive and make progress with greater ease. This is a good time to get things done and to perhaps tackle those difficult projects. Saturn is currently in retrograde, so under this energy, we may also receive more insights into the “homework” the planet of Karma has laid out for us. July 12: Venus Opposite Pluto

Venus in Leo aligns opposite Pluto in Aquarius. This can be a potentially challenging dynamic that can highlight power struggles in our lives. Where are we controlling too much? Where are we being controlled too much? We may feel the push and pull of this in our lives and in our relationships. Whatever comes up, see if you can step out of your ego and come into alignment with your heart. Stand in your power, but try not to engage in power struggles.

July 15: Sun Square Chiron

As Chiron prepares to go retrograde at the end of the month, this is a power day to begin reflecting on your healing journey since December of last year. Chances are, you have done much growing and healing since this time. Use the energy of today to recognize all of your progress and know you are being supported to take action. If there is a new step you feel called to make on your healing journey, today is the perfect day to take it.

July 20: Mars in Gemini

Mars, the planet of action and energy, moves into Gemini. With Mars in Gemini, we may be feeling more social or ready to take on some challenging conversations. Our filters may be down, which could land us into trouble when it comes to oversharing, however, we may just find it easier to express ourselves and easier to get to the bottom of how we really feel. Just be mindful of coming across too harsh, or saying something you may regret later.

July 21: Capricorn Full Moon

This is the second Capricorn Full Moon of the year. The first was back on June 21st. We may be drawn back to this time period. Perhaps more information may come to light on issues that were circling at that time. We may also find that something is completed or put to rest that we have been struggling with for the last few months. This Capricorn Full Moon is calling for us to release and let go of things that are blocking us from realizing our true potential. Think about what fears or self-limiting beliefs are holding you back and see if you can release them to the Moon. Stay tuned for more on this magical Moon!

July 21: Mercury Square Uranus

Mercury, the planet of communication, makes a tense alignment with Uranus, the planet of innovation and freedom. Uranus is considered the higher octave of Mercury, so this is a powerful energy dynamic to work with! We may feel a little scattered and all over the place. We may find it hard to know which direction to go or how we really feel. We need to still our minds and go with the flow. Sometimes, the answers are not obvious. Sometimes, we need to think bigger or stretch our minds to new dimensions. It seems that is what the Universe is calling us to do here.

July 22: Leo Season Begins

We move out of the watery season of the crab and into the fiery season of Leo! Leo is a fun, vibrant, and playful energy to work with. Leo is known for its proudness, its flair, and its ability to seek pleasure and luxury. The Sun loves being in the sign of Leo and feels most at home in this sign of the zodiac. The Sun is our life force, and our recharger. Find ways to recharge your energy under the Leo Sun.

July 22: Sun Trine Neptune

A magical and creative day! Neptune is still in retrograde, but this alignment allows us to harness some of its creative energy. This is a powerful day for all types of creative endeavours. Allow your imagination to soar.

July 23: Sun Opposite Pluto

The Sun in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius. This is a powerful point on our journey when it comes to transformation. How have you transformed? What have you shed away? July 25: Mercury enters Virgo

Mercury enters its ruling zodiac of Virgo. Mercury loves to be in Virgo and can help us to be more discerning and to pay attention to the smaller details. Mercury in Virgo can be critical however, so we need to ease up on ourselves and others. Give some grace.

July 26: Chiron Retrograde

To close out the month, Chiron, the asteroid known as the wounded healer, enters retrograde until December. This is a time to nourish and love ourselves despite our wounds. Chiron retrograde gives us a chance to go back over the parts of ourselves that have been exposed through trauma or wounding. It allows us time to digest, integrate, and to think about ways we can move forward. With Chiron in Aries, we are encouraged to release our fears and soldier on. Chiron is known as the wounded healer, for it has learned to harness and love its wounds as part of itself, rather than wishing things to be different. This is our chance to instill that type of acceptance in our own lives.

The Golden Girl gets a special invite from a surprise brand that no one else saw coming.

Stray kids have been on a successful journey not only with the success of Hop their latest album but also in the model industry as well. Florentina would grace the very city of Milan (her hometown) where she represented the houses of Vivienne Westwood and a surprise brand, gracing the targets of such blatant exposure with time to regain their footing - though momentarily.

On March. 06, Florentina was spotted departing from Incheon Airport wearing a sensational outfit that featured a plunging ruched chiffon gown puffed shoulders and layers of shimmering oxblood fabric from the brand, nipped in at the waist with a red shoelace and was complete with deep pockets in the skirt. She boosted her height with a pair of towering lace-up boots and styled her long dark hair into a sleek straightened look. As far as accessories go, she rocked long flower gold earrings a cute designer bag with a cute TinaTiger Skzoo pendant attached to it and long silver earrings.

What really caught fans eyes was that Flora showed on her instagram story not only an invitation to Vivienne Westwood, but an invitation to the Chloe Gurl fashion show. The fact the two brands complete contrast each other is what makes the event shocking but the princess duality won’t have any trouble adjusting to both parties. The creative director saw this opportunity to invite the mafia princess for the FW, so the creative director sent her sparkly pink and black roses along with a handwritten invitation. The woman gladly accepted and no wasted time, they took excessive care in choosing every single pieces that would adorn the idols body.

Chloé Girl had Flora wear a flowy, brown mini dress with multiple layers of ruffles on the sleeves. The princess is wearing aviator sunglasses, a gold chain necklace with a pendant, and brown heels. Vivienne Westwood on the other hand decided on an outfit rather opposite in comparison to the nude colors other attendees wore; a plaid blazer and matching kilt. Multiple strands of pearls. Black gloves and knee-high socks. A small black handbag and a hat choices that have been explained later on as created to draw attention to the woman's chic outfit and makeup.

Interactions between the house's royals made their way onto nearly everyone's front pages as, due to their heavy touring schedules, it had been quite some time since the two friends had interacted and they seemed even closer than previous shows. The Vivienne Westwood team smiled brightly in most photographs as they all marveled over Florentina’s new hair, along with the new tattoo she’d gotten but said she couldn’t show it off that much due to JYP saying she couldn’t, but she doesn’t care.

The creative director for CHLOE GURL Chemena Kamali reached out to Flora’s team and saw beauty that she needed to snatch before other brands got a hold of her. Her members were super proud and supportive of their eldest as they know she works hard to create art and model. So having this opportunity to seek other fashion brands that she thought wouldn’t have interest on her really boosted her confidence.

Fans were asking Flora if Leeknow would ever get a chance to grace Gucci with his presence in the fashion world. She could t really answer that question for many reason; she didn’t want to spoil something, she didn’t want to start any rumor regarding Leeknow, there were many problems with this question. Unfortunately only time will tell.

In the meantime please send many words of praise to Florentina and Stray Kids for achieving many views on their music videos and continue to stream 'Medusa.

Being inspired to write is hard, finding that spark of myself I want to add to my work is rough, but when I'm standing alone in the dark, it's you that hold the torch that lights my way out.

Seeing POTO Live: Part 1 (An Unexpected Journey)

On Monday May 20th 2024, I was fortunate enough to see The Phantom of the Opera live on the West End in London. It’s safe to say that I left as a changed person.

For my own posterity’s sake and in case anyone is interested, I want to give a little background about how I was able to see the show, because the story is a little crazy. I still can’t believe it happened. For my commentary and thoughts on the show itself, see Part 2 of this post.

So, at the time of this post’s writing, my parents and I just finished a vacation to various places in the UK that we’ve been planning since June of last year. We were scheduled to spend our last two days in London, so while making a list of all the things we wanted to see in the city, we briefly discussed seeing a West End show. However, when I went to look at tickets to see Phantom (because I was already a phan at the time so of course it was already on my bucket list), the website was only showing tickets available through March 2024. For some reason, my brain assumed this meant that the current West End run was only doing shows through March and then they would take a break for summer or whatever (idk how theaters work, so it sounded plausible to me at the time ðŸ˜…). So we ultimately decided to not make plans to see a West End show, and I gave up hope of seeing Phantom on the West End for the foreseeable future.

That is, until a week before our vacation.

Out of curiosity I checked the website again, and I saw that there were now tickets available for a 7:30pm show on Monday May 20th, the day we were scheduled to arrive in London after sightseeing in Oxford in the morning. A little bit of hope returned, but I still didn’t get too excited because there was a lot we wanted to see in London and not much time to do so. I didn’t make seeing Phantom a priority because my parents weren’t as interested in seeing it as I was, and it didn't feel right to me to force all of us to go on an expensive outing that only I would enjoy to the fullest. So I again put the possibility of seeing the show out of my mind, and we enjoyed the start of our vacation.

Monday afternoon rolled around, and my parents and I were on the bus ride to London with our tour group after sightseeing in Oxford in the morning. Our tour guide told us we were due to arrive between 4:30-5:30 but that London traffic was very unpredictable and it may take even longer. My family and I had planned on walking over to Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace that evening, and I off-handedly mentioned that we should stop by Her (now His) Majesty’s Theatre for a picture of the POTO decor and stuff. They asked me to check if any seats happened to be available for the performance that evening. I highly doubted it, but to my utter shock, there were still six seats available: three in the balcony that were close together and three on the ground floor in the stalls (the area directly in front of the stage). I was THRILLED, and my parents (the absolute angels they are, no pun intended) noticed this and suggested that we try to get the tickets to the show and see Buckingham Palace the next day. However, because we still didn’t know exactly when the bus would be arriving in London, we decided to wait until we reached our hotel to make sure that we had the time to get to the theatre in time.

The entire ride to London, I could feel the adrenaline and excitement pulsing through my body, and yet it still didn’t feel real yet. Sometimes I struggle with appreciating big events like this in the way they probably should be appreciated because I just get stuck in a state of shock that lasts until the event is over, and by the time it’s over I feel like I missed it. But this time, I told myself that if my prayers were answered and it all worked out, I would make a point to appreciate it to the fullest (and that’s what I am doing by making these posts).

We were BLESSED with easy traffic (a rarity in London, according to our tour guide) and got to our hotel at 4:30pm. I checked the availability of seats in the theatre again, and the same six seats were visible on my screen. However, when I went to purchase the three balcony seats for me and my parents, it said that one of the seats I wanted to buy had already been taken. I refreshed the page, and there were now only four seats available: one in the balcony and three in the stalls (ground floor). The ones in the stalls had two next to each other about four rows from the stage (these were EXPENSIVE, like Â£175 each), and one on its own DEAD CENTER in Row L, which is a couple of rows below the balcony (so not directly under the chandelier but close). My parents (again, angels) told me to get the lone seat in Row L and see the show on my own, and that they were fine with walking around London by themselves for the evening.

So I booked the ticket. We walked 40 minutes from our hotel to the theatre. The entire time, I still couldn’t quite believe it, and my shock was making me delusionalâ€”I was convinced when I got there they would say that my online ticket was invalid or that someone had already bought my ticket in advance. But it was all okay. The kind ushers let me in without issue, I bought myself a programme and a water bottle, and I made my way to my seat an hour ahead of showtime. I wanted to make a post telling you guys what was happening, but Wi-Fi didn’t work in the theatre (probably for the best). It was easily the best money I’ve ever spent.

I probably don’t have to tell you how damn lucky and fortunate I am in every aspect to have been able to afford a last-minute ticket to see the show I love in such a great seat. I wish I could have shared that luck and fortune with all of you and had you there with me so we could all enjoy the incredible performance (and trust me, it was INCREDIBLE). Since I unfortunately can’t do that, I want to try and do the next-best thing—in my review post (Part 2), I will be sharing my notes from the show that I wrote during intermission and when it was over that describe the details that I noticed about the performance as well as my own commentary/reflection.
