Speaking as someone who does not, as a rule, like gangster movies, I kind of enjoyed this one - possibly because the gangsters in this aren't lionized the way they are in most of them. They're just dudes, mostly pretty shitty ones, and Billy is one of them, and that's about the whole entire story. There isn't a lot of structure to the plot, but it's quite nice in its various vignettes.
