DP x DC prompt
The Justice League mistakes Danny for being older than he looks not because of historical texts but because they met him in the past.
Batman met Danny during his time as a pirate. Batman remembered fighting alongside Danny and an young African woman freeing innocent men and women.
Wonder Woman was sent back to ancient Rome and looking for a way back. While she was there she watched the fights in the Coliseum. She then noticed when one fighter lost his helmet and she saw her teammate Phantom. She was surprised to see him also fighting along side a tall redhead who fought like an amazon.
Barry met Phantom before he even became the Flash. It was a late night at work and he was walking home when a mugger attempted to rob him. Before he knew it the mugger was knocked unconscious and he was looking at a flying boy and girl with white hair. Barry was surprised and grateful when he was flown home by the strange duo.
The Bat family were sent back in time together when Ra's had just gotten control of the league. They also saw him trying to woo a redheaded woman while Phantom was beside her. When Ra's threatened to kill the woman's husband and raise her kids as his own, they watched the woman knee him in the nuts and heard Phantom ask the woman why she attracts creeps like him.
Zatanna and John Constantine were somehow sent back in time during the Salem Witch trials. They were both captured by a witch hunter and about to be set on fire. Then a man looking a lot like the witch hunter tackled the man and knocked him out. Phantom flew out of nowhere and untied them and took them somewhere safe.

Alien
Danny doodled absently in the margins of his homework.  He’d gotten into the Astronomy elective this year, and although he’d finished that homework, he wasn’t ready to start on his Language Arts homework.  Instead, he daydreamed, his thoughts drifting slowly from the sun, to satellites, to stars, to planets.
“Clockwork, are there ghost portals on other planets?  I mean,” he said, revising his question, “could a person travel to another planet, like, um, Mars, using natural portals?”
For a long moment, Clockwork didn’t answer, and Danny sighed, aware that he did sometimes push his luck when it came to Clockwork and questions.  As Clockwork said, he couldn’t give Danny all the answers.
“That’s an interesting question,” said Clockwork.
“It is?” asked Danny, sitting up on the couch (which bore a remarkable similarity to the couch Danny’s parents had blown up when he was six).
“Yes,” said Clockwork.  “It is.”  He moved to the side of the time screen he’d been looking at, letting Danny see it.
The screen showed a starscape, detailed, bright, and familiar.  Earth’s night sky.
“A portal may form anywhere that sufficiently captures the soul,” said Clockwork.
“Like… imagination-wise?”
“That is the most common element in these situations, yes.”
Danny squinted at Clockwork.  “The way you phrased that is weird.”
“But no less true.”
“People imagine Mars all the time,” said Danny.
“So they do,” said Clockwork.  He flicked his hand and the image on the screen dispersed into static, only to resolve into what Danny quickly recognized as the beginning of Sam, Tucker, and his disastrous trip with the Infi-Map.  "But natural portals do not only pierce through space."
Danny floated up off the couch, abandoning his homework.  "Is this your way of telling me that we're going to start finding weirdly old bodies on Mars and stuff?"
"There are other planets than Mars," said Clockwork.  "And more than humans pass through portals."
"Yeah, I know, but Mars was–" he stopped.  "You don't mean planets in this solar system, do you?  You mean– you're talking about things from Earth going to other solar systems."
"It is a possibility."
"But," continued Danny, approaching the screen, "people didn't know about exoplanets until pretty recently.  So, were the portals just aimed at the stars, or…?"
Rather pointedly, the Danny on the screen tumbled from the sixteen-hundreds to Rome.
"Right.  I guess time, um."  He winced.  "Portals can form regardless of time."
"Nice save," said Clockwork with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm trying to follow your clues," complained Danny.  He continued to watch the screen.  "Is that just one sided, from the future that knows about things, to the past that doesn't?"
"Were you trapped in the past?"
"No," said Danny, "but we also knew about the future."
"Hm," said Clockwork.
"I guess I'm trying to ask…  If you had something in, like, I don't know, the time when bacteria started producing oxygen–"
"The Siderian Period."
"Yeah, then.  Could a portal open then, in the, uh, the Siderian Period on Earth, and go through the Ghost Zone, and have the other side be on planet that it could, um.  Live on?  That wasn't Earth?"
"The chances are small," said Clockwork.
"But they exist?" pressed Danny.
Clockwork waved his hand again, and the screen flickered, going from Danny and Vlad fighting in a coliseum to a cloudy blue-green ocean.  A neon green whirl came to life among the blue, and the point of view zoomed through it, coming to a stop above a gray ocean under a whitish sun.  Bluish water trickled through the tiny portal, splashing into the gray sea.  The color diffused, slowly.
Danny bounced in the air, excited.  "And it could live?"
"I believe you are the one who told me humans had calculated the odds of a mouse surviving on the surface of the sun for a week."
"Then that means, that means that there could be real alien life that ultimately came from Earth."
"What makes you think this is not Earth?" asked Clockwork, tilting his staff at the screen.  "The sky you know takes much of its color from the composition of its atmosphere.  What makes you think either of them were Earth?”
Danny’s mouth slowly formed an O of surprise.
"But then," said Danny, “you could basically have a chain.  Life going from one planet to the next and the next after that…  Would things get traded back and forth like that?  Is that where missing links go?”
“Most holes in the fossil record are simply due to chance, or certain organisms being difficult to preserve.”
“But not all of them?”
Clockwork hummed noncommittally.
“That’s so cool,” said Danny.  “Like, aliens had to exist, either way.  Life happening in one place and not anywhere else– Well, that’s way too unlikely.  But this is really cool.”
“As you have said.”
“But if the crossover is consistent… if it’s consistent, wouldn’t someone have noticed?  I know people disappear all the time, but people showing up out of nowhere is different.  Isn’t it?”
“Remember,” said Clockwork, “the current awareness of your world is a relatively recent development.  For most of human history, if a new group of people arrived in an area, and local people were not able to recognize where they came from, they simply assumed they were from somewhere far away, but still knowable."
"Well…  okay.  I can see that.  Just.  Wow."  He leaned back in the air, still caught in a sense of wonder.  "There could be whole civilizations out there…  Imagine if we could make portals that go to those places and visit.   I know there's the Infi-Map, but still."
"There are reasons that ghosts no longer seek such things out, except for the foolish and the power-hungry."
"Oh," said Danny, but he only deflated a little bit.
"Daniel."
Danny righted himself to look at Clockwork.  "Yeah?"
"It may come, someday, that you will ask a question that seems to have no answer, or encounter a situation to which there seems to be no solution.  Think back to this when you do."
"Okay," said Danny.
"Now, get back to your homework. I know you haven't done it all."
Danny stuck out his tongue and flitted back to the couch.  Clockwork was right, but he didn’t have to say it.

Okay. DP x DC idea. What if the League met Fenton before they met Phantom. Not in a ghost fight. Not doing anything particularly weird. Just Danny Fenton trying his best.
When they first notice the ghosts of Amity Park they all get a little worried about it, but no one can beat out Batman's paranoia. Ghosts may not have caused too many problems outside of Amity yet, but he doesn't trust that to stay that way. So he researches.
He, of course, finds out about Phantom, but shelves his usual just-in-case-he-turns-evil plans until after he can get some ghostly experts to brief the League. He does some cursory research into Phantom's history and abilities, which of course drags up everything in the Amity News cycle and some references in both Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome. (So Batsy gives up on the idea of finding out a human civilian identity. Kid's dead and his "life" has been lost to time until he decides to say something.)
But, more importantly, there are no good options for who to ask for lessons in ghost hunting.
First option: the GIW. Absolute morons who have never caught anything stronger than an ectopus, cause more damage to property than the ghosts, and have security so lax it doesn't even take Batman ten seconds to get in. Absolutely not. Not for the watch tower.
Second option: Vlad Co. Owned and operated by billionaire Vlad Masters who runs in the same social circles as Lex Luthor. He has better security than the GIW but the question with him is not whether or not he *could* keep the secret, but whether or not he *would.*
Third option: Dr.s Fenton of FentonWorks. They have the most cutting edge ghost hunting technology and the most published papers. But. Well. A brief survey of the town makes it very clear they are biased at best and bigoted at worst. Not something the League wants to associate with, but they are still the best of the bad options.
Or so they think until Bruce Wayne goes to open contact with them and notices the Fenton children. He knew about them before coming of course. Jasmine Fenton, top of her class with a full ride to Harvard and plans to major in psychology. Has historically been vocal about her distaste for her parent's work. Likely because of Danny. Daniel Fenton is a trouble maker barely scraping by in his classes that had an accident in his parents lab a year ago. Not the brightest and not well behaved, but by all accounts he's got a good heart.
And neither of then are very enthused about his presence in their home. Neither of them seem to care for their parents anti-ghost rhetoric either. Jazz tries to reason with them and Danny just rolls his eyes behind their back. And casually takes apart and fixes one of their inventions.
Bruce quickly makes a minor investing deal with the elder Fentons as cover and a quick way to keep and eye on their research and finds an excuse to get the kids out of the house to talk. Once out, he extends the Justice League's request for training with ghost hunting gear and a project to install anti-ecto security measures in their base(s). Danny is hesitant but agrees.
And Danny is so tired and so done with this crap when he's in the Watch Tower. (He's enamored with the space station for several minutes, but once he gets on track, the League think he's a mini Bruce. All business and telling them not to be idiots.)
He gives them a basic run down of what each item is and how to use it. Common ghostly abilities and power scaling. (Do not call him to consult on a blob ghost, ectopus, or other weak ghostly animal. But they are not to try and fight several of the stronger ghost. A fair amount of this tech will make their afterlives miserable, but won't actually do much beyond annoy them. Superman in particular should stay away from anything strong enough to overshadow. No one wants to fight a possessed Kryptonian.) He gives them plenty of thermoses, guns, nets, and specter deflectors plus some odds and ends for them to test out. And then he starts working on the shield, which he worked on with Tucker to upgrade so it would recognize his ecto signature as friendly (and a couple others like Clockwork, Pandora, Frostbite, and Wulf) so it wouldn't shoot him on the spot.
It would probably take several trips to get everything working properly, by which point Danny has likely made friends with a few League members. And a few of them have probably noticed something weird about him, but they ignore it cause he's a good kid and it's just a little weird. Won't hurt anything.
Constantine takes one look at the kid and is not seen again until months after he finally leaves.
But now they have working ghost defenses and they can protect people if a ghost tries to attack anywhere outside of Amity! (Yes, several ask Danny to install a shield at their personal hideouts as well. Batman tries to figure it out on his own and decides to just ask Danny for now. He'll figure it out eventually, but Fenton schematics are a pain and the power source doesn't look like anything he's ever seen before.)
Eventually everything is done and Danny goes back to his life with a large chunk of cash in his new bank account and a secure line just incase the league needs to consult with him again. Danny thinks that's the end of it until Batman shows up decked out in Fenton gear looking for Phantom.

A Play Of The Year
Happy Easter! and APRIL FOOLS! at least basically. This idea has been churning like rotten butter between me and Danny since Christmas last year. Don't worry and enjoy :) It's one of the more mm serious April fools fics we made thusfar.
Pairing: Platonic a bunch x gn reader or something Request: Can I count Danny letting me write this as one? Word count: 2.3 k I am so sorry Warnings: Proceed with caution if you have religious (christian) guilt I suppose, and not that this fic isn't meant as harmful towards those of christian believe, it's satire. The rest? you'll find out (nothing serious, the banner gives most of it away)
-Asnyox
Tumblr media
Normally, besides an egg hunt or themed activity, you didn’t celebrate Easter. Camp Half-Blood simply didn’t care too much- so when Camp Jupiter invited most of the campers to their easter activities you were pumped. You weren’t entirely sure what was going to happen. But excitedly you signed up with a few of your friends, and went on a little road trip to get to Camp Jupiter.
What you weren’t expecting was a play. Last time you checked, there wasn’t an open air stage at this camp, but when you sat down there it was. It wasn’t just a center stage- there were screens to either side, streaming what was happening on stage live. You spotted so many speakers. Nico sat next to you, with Will next to him, Percy and Annabeth were on your other side. You knew one secret, and that is that Leo was Mary. Apparently they had cast Reyna for the role, but as she was with the hunters she (surely with a heavy heart) asked Leo at the Waystation to fill in for her. Leo being the good friend he is, obviously agreed. You figured it would be pretty funny to seem him act.
And as you watched the people slowly get into their seats, you realized the entirety of Camp Jupter and New Rome was going to see this play. It got you excited really, how good must this play be to amass this many people, but as you were about to voice your excitement Percy sighed from next to you.
“I can’t believe I was forced to come to this because I was a part of the Legion once.” he said and Annabeth petted his arm. “It can’t be that bad, Perce,” she tried to console him, “See how many people are coming!”
“But weren’t they all part of the Legions once?” Will asked, and Nico nodded.
“Apparently Hazel and Frank had to put in a law for participation,” he explained, “because nobody ever showed up to watch the Easter play.”
“What?” you balked, “Is it that bad? Why didn’t you warn me?” Nico smiled at you, clearly amused by your state.
“Well, I figured I could force Will to come, but not you if you knew, besides you looked excited.”
“I wouldn’t have if you had been honest with me.” you glared at him, “Why did you even come if it’s bad?”
“Legal sibling obligation, Hazel’s in the play.” he explained, “Will’s my forced plus one.” Will rolled his eyes, but laughed.
“Same as me,” Annabeth joined in, “Morale support for Percy. You’re the only one here of your own free will I’m afraid.”
“Not for long, I’m leaving-” but before you got up, Nico grabbed your arm and pointed at the stage.
The play was starting.
The stage was empty as the lights flashed on. Hazel made her dramatic entrance onto the stage, to a mildly warm applause from the audience. It kept going until she raised both her hands, immediately silencing the audience. She started her speech.
“A long time ago in a town called Nazareth there lived a young woman called Mary and a young carpenter called Joseph.” As Hazel moved to the side, two people who you assumed to be Mary and Joseph entered onto the stage. With their entrance, the background of the stage went from neutral to a more sunset like atmosphere, allowing you a good look at the new characters.
Leo Valdez, who you knew was Mary, wore a beige dress, and a blue cloak over his head and shoulders. Somehow he was certainly looking as if he was going through tough times. Funnily enough, his performance was complimented by Bobby, Jason’s friend who took care of the elephants. They slowly walked across the stage, where Leo- sat on a stool, as Bobby kept walking and exited from the stage. Hazel continued her narration.
“They loved each other very much and they also loved God very much. Mary of Nazareth was very special because God had chosen her to be the Mother of His Only Son. God sent the angel Gabriel to ask Mary if she would be the Mother of God.”
Blaise, son of Vulcan, was lowered onto the stage, gigantic wings on his back and for some reason a crown that was literally on fire. He stops inches from the floor, as he spreads his arms and addresses Leo.
“Mary, you are the chosen one. Soon you will have a baby boy. He will be very special. He will be the Son of God and you must call him Jesus.” Leo tried to look surprised, and quickly walked off stage while Blaise was being raised again, until both of them were off the stage.
“Soon after the angel’s visit, Herod, the ruler of the land, gave an order” Hazel said
Claudia flew in using winged shows, dressed as the average Mercury interpretation and yelled; “By order of the emperor, everyone must return to the place they were born to pay a special tax!” you could hear her yell it once more off stage as she kept flying, before you heard a loud crashing noise.
Bobby entered the stage, and he looked awfully worried. Was it acting, or did Claudia break a bone? But Hazel continued no matter what was happening.
“Joseph was worried. He was born in a place called Bethlehem. It was a long way away and Mary’s baby was due any time. Joseph and Mary knew they had to go and they prepared for the journey.”
Leo came onto the stage, now wearing a fake pregnant belly. You did not want to consider pregnant Leo Valdez, yet here you were. Behind him Festus went onto the stage, Bobby and Leo got on and Festust started flying over the audience, eliciting some gasps from the audience.
After a moment, Hazel started her dialogue. “Mary rode to Bethlehem on a donkey, with Joseph walking by her side. Remember, Mary was about to have a baby, so it was a very long dangerous journey. Mary and Joseph were very grateful to their faithful donkey who carried Mary so bravely and so carefully.”
Festus landed on the stage again, and Leo and Bobby got off.
“Thank you little donkey” Leo said as he petted Festus. “YOU’RE WELCOME CUPCAKE!” Coach Hedge’s voice blared from the speakers. Unbothered, Hazel continued the story.
“It took many days to reach Bethlehem. When they arrived, Mary was very tired. They needed to find somewhere to stay, but the town was crowded with lots of other travelers and every inn they went to was full.”
Dakota, Lavinia and Marilyn entered, each holding a door in front of them. You saw Bobby open his mouth, but Leo was quicker in saying the line.
“Let’s go and see if they have room for us,” he said, and Bobby had the quickest glare, before knocking on the first door. Dakota opened the door, and Leo asked whether there was a room. Dakota shook his head, closed the door, picked it up and walked off the stage. The scene is the exact same for the other two inn-keepers, before Hazel speaks again, and as she speaks, Dakota enters the stage again, still holding his door.
“Eventually, seeing how tired they both looked, one kind innkeeper took pity on them.” Dakota opened his door, and stepped out of it.
“I have no room at the inn,” Dakota hiccuped, “but you can stay in the stable where I keep my animals. It is dry and warm.”
Leo and Bobby thanked him, and as they walked to the right of the stage, from the left an entire stable on wheels was brought in. But not just that, because this stable was complete with an elephant, and buford the table who was mooing. Did they not find any pegasi willing to take the stage or something? Either way, Leo, Bobby and Dakota left the stage, only for Leo and Bobby to re-enter from the other side, still leading Festus who patiently took his place next to the war elephant.
How the fuck did they manage to get Festus to cross backstage that quickly?
“During the night Mary gave birth to Jesus.” Hazel paused to point at the birth. Leo start screaming, as the golden boy, Jason Grace, somehow came out from under Leo’s stool. He was naked, except for a pair of skin colored boxers. Bobby quickly draped a cloth over him, roman style.  “He was wrapped in strips of cloth and laid in a manger full of hay.” Hazel finished her sentence as Jason laid himself in the manger, his face the only visible bit to the audience.
This apparently was a cue for the animals on stage to start speaking, as a different coach Hedge voice came from Buford’s speaker.
“Test, test. Is this okay, kid? Yeah. okay. Cow: Let’s moooove a little bit closer to Child.” coach’s voice sounded calm.
“I, the sheep,” It sounded from behind the elephant, “say that we might wake up the baaaaby Jesus if we do that.”
“No,” This time it was clearly Leo with a voice changer sounding from Festus, “hee haw, hee haw he’s already awake.”
From the other side of the stage the inn-keepers re-entered, wearing beards and hats. You were quickly corrected by Hermes.
“Nearby on a hillside overlooking the town some shepherds were watching over their sheep. As they did so a very bright light came into the sky.” Blaise slowly descended once again, this time holding a lamp “The light was an angel sent by God.”
“Do not to be afraid,” Blaise spoke, “I have good news. The Son of God has been born. You will find him in a stable in Bethlehem.” He was being pulled back up again, only for the rope to hitch and him to drop the lamp all the way down. The shepherds yelled curses, but quickly went “we’re fine! We’re fine!!” before scrambling to pick up the biggest pieces of the lamp. Hazel was gaping at the scene, but she quickly recovered.
“The shepherds were excited and went to Bethlehem to find Jesus.” Dakota, Lavinia and Marilyn walked off stage carrying the pieces of the lamp. They came back out on the other side of the stage as Hazel resumed her speech, “When they found Jesus they were filled with joy. They told Mary and Joseph about the angel in the sky.”
“This must be the Son of God.” Dakota said.
“The angel told us he will be the savior of the world.” Marilyn spoke up.
“Can I kiss His feet?” Lavinia asked.
“Ew, no.” Leo said, “What are you, a pedo?” clearly this was unscripted, as Lavinia burst out laughing.
“Thank You God for giving us Your Son.” Dakota tried to save the bit.
Then on the other side of the stage, Frank, Janice, Micheal and … the Grinch? entered. Pointing at the sun, which was now in the middle of the sky. Hazel narrated the scene once again.
“A long way away in the East, three wise kings who studied the stars and the horrid Grinch, saw a new very bright star shining in the sky. They knew that this meant a great ruler had been born. The three wise men decided to go and find the baby. The wise men followed the star to the stable in Bethlehem. They found Jesus lying in a manger. They gave him gifts,”
Whoever played the Grinch first approached baby Jason Jesus, and showed the audience and Jason their gift. “I give you the gift of Easter! And eggs! And chocolate! All shall search and feast to this little man! All must do!” and as the Grinch laughed maniacally, cannons from the stage started firing chocolate Easter eggs at the audience.
Instead of excitement, the first few rows mainly screamed in pain and tried to duck away from the fire. Contrary to popular belief, chocolate is very hard and not nice to get hit by. But as the cannons stopped, and the audience was silent once again, the show had to go on.
Frank walked up to Jasus, and kneeled down, as he gave him his gift. “I give you my pledge to your legion, which I shall follow till the end.” Janice stood tall next to him, brandishing a spear, “I will give you forces and loyalty, to build the greatest empire that mankind will ever know.” Next up was Micheal, who spread his arms wide as he more addressed the audience than Jason. “And I! Shall give you this cross, the means to and end and the end to a means! It shall guide you with the will of the Roman Empire!” From the ceiling of the theater a cross lowered.
“Isn’t it supposed to be like gold, incense and myrrh?” Will whispered to Nico and as you looked at Nico, his face was once of disbelief.
“The fuck are they doing?” he whispered under his breath “Don’t they know the Romans killed Jesus?” Yet the play continued.
Jason got up from the manger, spread his arms, and probably by harness and wires, got lifted to align with the cross Micheal had lowered. The Grinch stood up, and as Micheal fastened Jason to the cross (by straps, and two clearly fake spikes) the Grinch brandished a knife. Jason looked up one last time, as he pitfully said his one and only line.
“Et tu, Grinch?” and the Grinch stabbed him.
Cheers erupted. The horrors had finally passed.

The Curse of Oenone (Leo Valdez xFem!Oc)
A/N: Please remember you love me -Danny Words: 2,282 Series' Masterlist Previous Chapter // Next Chapter Listen to: 'As It Was' -by Harry Styles
Tumblr media
XXI: Don't Forget to Hold Your Grudges, Ladies!
Arachne's portraying me in the middle of a fight. In the tapestry, I look taller and older, I've got a fierce gaze as I lift my sword to kill a monster, and lightning strikes behind me just the right way to make me look menacing.
"Now, that's the daughter of Olympus," I think appreciatively.
Arachne turns in my direction. I yelp at the horrible sight, and the creature hisses. "LEAVE!"
The ground crumbles under me, and I smell a sulfuric scent that suffocates me.
Ara sits up gasping for clean air, feeling the emptiness in her gut as if she were still falling. It takes her a moment to gather her thoughts, but she's almost certain that in her dream, she was falling straight to Tartarus.
Someone knocks on her door and Hedge walks in without waiting for a reply. "Rise and shine, Strategus! Valdez says the ship's about to land."
Tumblr media
"I've studied maps of Rome before. I've always wanted to come here, but..." Jason doesn't finish his sentence, too amazed to think.
Ara, however, isn't eager. The dream she just had told her what she needed to know, and she doesn't want to leave the ship.
"Plans?" Hazel inquires. "Nico has until sunset—at best. And this entire city is supposedly getting destroyed today."
Ara takes a moment to hype herself up before she speaks. "I'm going with Annabeth and Percy."
Annabeth scowls. "No! This is my mission—"
"Percy can't walk around Rome alone, I'll be keeping the numbers even," she replies, eyes fixed on the town ahead so they can't see the fear in her eyes. "We won't follow you when it's time to part ways, you have my word."
"Fine," Annabeth grumbles, having no option but to give in. "Hazel, now that we're in Rome, do you think you can pinpoint Nico's location?"
"Um... hopefully, if I get close enough. I'll have to walk around the city. Frank, would you come with me?"
"Absolutely."
"And, uh... Leo," Hazel adds awkwardly. "It might be a good idea if you came along too. The fish-centaurs said we'd need your help with something mechanical."
"Yeah, no problem."
Piper draws out her dagger and Ara steps back looking at it with contempt, but no one seems to notice. "Jason and I can watch the ship for now. I'll see what Katoptris can show me. But, Hazel, if you guys get a fix on Nico's location, don't go in there by yourselves. Come back and get us. It'll take all of us to fight the giants."
"Good idea," Percy continues. "How about we plan to meet back here at... what?"
"Three this afternoon?" Jason offers. "That's probably the latest we could rendezvous and still hope to fight the giants and save Nico. If something happens to change the plan, try to send an Iris-message."
"That'll give me time to eat the coconuts—I mean dig the coconuts out of our hull," Hedge mutters. "Percy, Annabeth... Just remember: behave. If I hear about any funny business, I will ground you until the Styx freezes over."
Ara makes a face. "Man, I'm going with them, don't get your knickers in a bunch."
"We'll be back soon," Percy gives Ara a fleeting look before walking away. "Good luck, everyone."
Ara walks forward, her gut twisting in knots but deciding that once she leaves the ship she'll be leaving her fear too. Before she departs, though, Leo seizes her wrist.
"Look after yourself," He tells her.
Ara kisses his cheek and mumbles. "I'll see you soon."
Tumblr media
Percy and Annabeth end up super glad that Ara joined them, she's the only one who can kind of speak Italian.
They decide to get food so they go to a restaurant near the river. Ara spaces out for a while, brooding on her dream and her prophecy, giving Percy and Annabeth a moment to be as cheesy as they please.
"So," Percy bites on his thin pizza. "Did you know Ara had a crush on Mike?"
She snaps out of her thoughts. "Are you serious?"
"You had a crush on Mike?" Annabeth raises a brow. "I thought you liked Nico!"
"Right?" Percy continues.
Annabeth's eyes turn sadder. "He was a brother to Lily. I can see the appeal, er... for you, I mean. He was always on your side, looking after you. Kind of like Leo, if Leo knew how to fix people instead of machines."
Percy swallows his food, looking slightly guilty. "I've always had this feeling Lily never forgave me for what happened..."
"I think she blames me more," Ara admits quietly. "Maybe she has the right to be angry... about everything," the girl stabs several pieces of lettuce with her fork, but she doesn't eat them. "I come here to try and show her that he didn't die in vain, and now..."
Now I'm dying, and she won't even know that I'm sorry.
"You know, this feels like the old days," Annabeth tries to lift their spirits. "When it was just us."
"We're missing Grover, nervously chewing trash," Ara retorts.
"This is exactly like the old days," Percy responds, having none of it. "You two hiding things from me, and I have no option but to follow blindly. Did you know she decided to become a daughter of Olympus a year before the war?"
He stares at Annabeth pointedly, and the girl heaves a sigh. "No, but it makes sense." She looks at Ara. "Your mother talked you into it, didn't she?"
Ara shifts in her seat awkwardly. "Not like you think. She was trying to make me feel proud of who I was when I didn't have much to hold onto. I made the choice."
"I think you refuse to see it how it is," Annabeth's gaze isn't as resentful as Percy's, but there is some kind of concern there. "Maybe it's better like this if you want a somewhat nice, sane life. My mom isn't my best ally nowadays..."
Percy eyes both girls, worried at how defeated they sound. "Annabeth, you don't have to do this."
"You'll have to trust me," she says firmly. "You've got to believe I'll come back."
"I believe in you. That's not the problem. But come back from where?"
"Now, that..." Ara lifts her fork and stares at the lettuce, "is the question..."
The roar of an engine cuts through their conversation: a couple of vintage-looking adults are approaching, and Ara knows right away these people are 1. Not mortal, and 2. Looking for them.
"Why, hello," the guy slips off his bike.
"We've had the most lovely morning," the woman tells them as if they're all old friends.
"Oh, gods," Annabeth stammers. "How—how... ?"
Ara kicks her brother's foot. "You know them?"
"No. But you guys do look familiar," he hums. "Are you that guy on Mad Men?"
"Percy!" Annabeth gasps.
"What? I don't watch a lot of TV."
"That's Gregory Peck!" Annabeth exclaims like that would mean anything to Ara and Percy. "And... oh gods! Audrey Hepburn! I know this movie. Roman Holiday. But that was from the 1950s. How—?"
"Oh, my dear! I'm afraid you've mistaken me for someone else! My name is Rhea Silvia. I was the mother to Romulus and Remus, thousands of years ago. But you're so kind to think I look as young as the 1950s. And this is my husband..."
"Tiberinus. God of the River Tiber," he shakes Percy's hand and winks at Ara.
"Yeah, I see the Aubrey Hepburn," Ara observes the couple with interest. "I'm Ara, this is my brother Percy, and this is Annabeth."
"Uh, hi. Do you two always look like American movie stars?" Percy asks.
"Do we? I'm not sure, actually. The migration of Western civilization goes both ways, you know. Rome affected the world, but the world also affects Rome. There does seem to be a lot of American influence lately. I've rather lost track over the centuries."
"Okay," Percy glances at the girls. "But... you're here to help?"
"My naiads told me you were here." The guy turns to Annabeth. "You have the map, my dear? And your letter of introduction?"
"Uh..." Annabeth hands him the disk and the letter. Ara can't help but notice she's glowing scarlet. "S-so... you've helped other children of Athena with this quest?"
"Oh, my dear! Tiberinus is ever so helpful. He saved my children Romulus and Remus, you know, and brought them to the wolf goddess Lupa. Later, when that old king Numen tried to kill me, Tiberinus took pity on me and made me his wife. I've been ruling the river kingdom at his side ever since. He's just dreamy!"
"Thank you, my dear. And, yes, Annabeth Chase, I've helped many of your siblings... to at least begin their journey safely. A shame all of them died painfully later on. Well, your documents seem in order. We should get going. The Mark of Athena awaits!"
Percy's hand moves across the table and grasps Annabeth's before she can get up. "Tiberinus, let me go with her. Just a little farther."
"But you can't, silly boy!" The lady laughs. "You must return to your ship and gather your other friends. Confront the giants! The way will appear in your friend Piper's knife. Annabeth has a different path. She must walk alone."
"Indeed," The god nods. "Annabeth must face the guardian of the shrine by herself. It is the only way. And Jacksons, you have less time than you realized to rescue your friend in the jar. You must hurry."
"But—"
"It's all right, guys," Annabeth eases them. "I need to do this."
A split second goes by in which Percy realizes he can't work his way around this. "You're right," he struggles to speak. "Be safe."
"Safe? Not at all! But necessary," the goddess beams. "Come, Annabeth, my dear. We will show you where your path starts. After that, you're on your own."
Annabeth kisses Percy and then hugs Ara. The girl squeezes her tightly.
"If you get yourself killed," Ara whispers. "I'm forcing Hades to spit you out. Don't make me break the rules, please."
Her friend chuckles. "Noted."
Percy and Ara watch Annabeth climb onto the Vespa and leave with the gods.
"There she goes," Ara says plainly. "Let's go."
The boy glares at her. "How can you watch your oldest friendship go on a life-threatening quest like it's nothing?"
Ara sighs without looking at him. "If I had a crisis every time someone I love goes on a quest, I'd have to be institutionalized."
Percy sounds even more frustrated. "You weren't like this."
She locks eyes with him. "When you were sent to Calypso's island, Hephaestus said enduring your absence would be helpful in the future, and it was—"
"So you're saying it's my fault—"
"You were the first person to hand me a sword," she reminds him. "Maybe you didn't believe I had it in me to become more than just a mildly decent warrior, but yeah, I'd say you sort of encouraged this."
"That's not true!" Percy stops her before she crosses a road without looking at both sides. "I believe in you, but if you had the brains to think twice before trying something dangerous, maybe I wouldn't freak out as much—Quests aren't games, Ara! I wish you stopped acting like they are!"
The girl snatches her arm away. "I'm not a ten-year-old anymore, Percy, I know what I'm doing! Stay out of my way!"
Ara pushes past him and quickens her pace.
Tumblr media
Ara stays with Hedge after she and Percy go back to the ship. Piper hands her Katroptis and tells her she can keep an eye on everyone. Ara holds it, and her entire body buzzes with familiarity.
Ara tries to imagine what it felt like to be on the run, with only that dagger to update her on the state of her old motherland. She wonders if the remains of her primal life marked all of the rest, frightening her with thoughts of solitude and exile.
Aphrodite says she isn't Helen, and Ara doesn't want to be Helen, but sometimes she can see Helen reflected in her words and actions, and fears it'll take her to the same end.
She gives the dagger to Hedge. "Here, you can look for those baseball scores and keep an eye on everyone, I'll be at the helm."
The satyr eyes her intently, sensing her stress. "You alright, Strategus?"
Ara walks to the control board and changes the subject. "Do you know how to use this, Coach?"
He goes to her. "Only you and Valdez know how to operate that labyrinth of buttons and levels."
"I'll show you what each one does, and you must try to memorize it."
Her prophecy might come to fruition today, so she has to leave everything in order in case she doesn't come back after they get Annabeth from her solo quest. Ara acts like she's just making conversation with Hedge to pass the time, she teaches him how to use the control board, mentions where she keeps an emergency stash of drachmas, and then, talks about where she keeps the pictures, what things she wants to give to Percy after they return, to Lily and Leo...
Hedge listens with a funny look in his eyes and that's when Ara realizes she's been using charmspeak. She's so anxious about leaving, that the satyr gets the full blast of it. But being honest, it's better this way.
Not even five minutes have passed when the satyr comes back and shoves the dagger into her hand. "You should see this."
Ara grabs the blade and the visions clears: Percy, Jason, and Piper are face-to-face with the giant twins. Behind them, a large bronze jar is set between two large praetor chairs. Ara drops the dagger and picks up her Octopi backpack from under the control board.
"Hedge, you saw where the others are?"
"No, but I can look for them."
"Cool. I'm going to help these guys."
"You can't go alone!"
Ara hesitates but in the end, she picks up Piper's dagger. "Stay here and wait, I'll contact you once I'm done."
"Strategus!"
Ara runs out with Lily's dagger on her belt and Almighty in her pocket.

I wish you would write Terry and Daniel fucking in the sauna (yet another they have in common 😂)
“Always done up so tight,” Terry whispers, hand slipping into his bathrobe. “You need to relax.”
Daniel can’t help but snort - he can feel the hardness against his back and knows the outcome of this already, and where that’s going to end up so, that sentence takes on a whole new meaning from what Terry intended.
Shit, did Terry even lock the door?
“Did you lock the door,” he breaks off, to curse lightly as fingers trace over his nipple.
The older man simply shrugs, too busy and undeterred in his exploration of the hidden territory under the bathrobe he’s been granted access to - that is now his to touch and taste.
“Terry,” he warns.
“Danny, anyone walks in, they wouldn’t be dumb enough to say anything.”
So very not SFW
How was he in this situation anyway. About to get fucked in the sauna of the country club he had worked so hard to get into, by Terry Silver, of all people, which, may or may not be locked.
His morning had been going so well too- relaxing tight muscles on the sauna and he really needed to talk to Amanda about getting one of these installed, now that he was back to training so much again.
And in had walked Terry Silver - cutting through the steam like some monster through the fog in those old horror movies he’s watch on their small black and white TV, late at night after his Ma had gone to bed.
Well, he refused to let Terry scare him anymore - once he got over the initial shock of hearing that message he left played back to him, anyway.
He schooled his expression from fear to annoyance.
In a flurry of activity they ended up fighting, which in a sauna, everything wet and sweaty, turned out to not be the greatest idea.
Their fighting was always a form of fucking anyway - god, even back then. In the dojo, on his hands and knees on the matt as Terry took him roughly from behind, sweaty and red faced from the training he was just put him through. Pants pulled down enough for Terry to get his mouth on him, loosening him up with spit and tongue, before pressing fingers inside, and where he got the lube from Daniel never knew, nor did he care. Not when Terry slide inside, powerful thrusts jolting him, hand slipping on the matt so he ended up face down with his chest touching it, ass up high in the air for the older man. It was always so raw, so primal, and Daniel felt so powerful even if he was the one on his hands and knees taking it. It was quickly addictive, a high he never could quite experience again and he ended up locking those memories deep down away from the light, knowing if he let those ghost out, they’d drag him down to his grave.
He thinks, oddly, of stories of old Rome, soldiers, and bathhouses. Although like this now, in the situation, or more so accurately the position he finds himself, he feels more like some spoil of war, and is ashamed that that turns him on more.
Foot up on the sauna bench, bent forward slightly, hands bracing himself against the wall, Terry on his knees with his face buried between his cheeks, wet sounds as the older man eats him out.
God he missed this. The feeling of being overpowered, of being used, of being made to take it.
Daniel bites into his own upper arm to not let Terry hear the moans, which he knew he wouldn’t get away with for long.
Terry stood up, dropping his scant towel, and Daniel felt his ass clench in a pleasure pained memory at the sight of his cock. Apparently his memory had been downplaying the size.
His robe had fallen back down, and Terry lifted it up, standing behind Daniel, a large hand guiding him so his foot ended up back on the floor, slotting his cock between his cheeks, hands opening the robe to bare his chest to Terry’s hunger gaze.
“God, your tits are still gorgeous,” he said, large hands cupping them, making small little mounds out of the soft flesh, thumbs rubbing at the hardened nubs.
“Maybe more so,” he said. “I loved how they’d move while I fucked you.”
“Fuck Terry wait,” he says as the older man’s cock catches on his rim - only loosened from sweat and No way can he take Terry like this - not without screaming the lace down and alerting everyone to exactly what is happening in here.
“Shhh, just like this for now,” he says as his cock slides between spit slick cheeks, over this hole, which aches to feel the older man’s cock inside it again. Would it fill him up the same way it did back then? Daniel thinks it would be even better now.
He cries out as Terry speeds up, cutting it off by biting back into his arm, but ad predicted.
He wraps a hand around Daniel’s midsection, pressing them closer together while trapping his arm at his side, leaving Daniel at the mercy of his own mouth and the noises that stream out now, without consent.
“You always made the prettiest noises for me. Some things never change.”
“Fuck you,” he said, without any real heat behind it and Terry just grabbed his hips harder, moving faster and faster.
“Here just let me,” he ends up, bent back over slightly, Terry’s cock between his slippery thighs now.
“Fuck that’s good,” Terry groans. “Not as good as inside you would be but it’ll do.”
“Bet your pussy will still as tight for me as it was back then.”
“Wouldn’t you like to know.”
He grabs his hair, yanking back and Daniel’s eye roll back in his head. Terry clearly remembers everything he liked.
“Oh I will,” Terry says, causing heat that has nothing to do with the temperature of the sauna or the steam to course through the smaller body. “God knows it still tastes just as good.”
He’s burning up, from the inside out, but goosebumps still erupt on his skin.
Terry turns Daniel’s head, tightening his grip, crashing their mouths togther for the first time.
Daniel hears a door open, praying to god that no one will be able to see him with Terry’s bill covering him, and Terry breaks the kiss to growl, “occupied.”
“Apologies Mr. Silver,” a voice says quickly.
Another voice, “holy shit is that Danie ……..”
“Just shut the fuck up and go.”
“We never saw anything,” the original voice says as the door closes.
“Going to,” Terry chokes out and Daniel leans his head against the wall, spreading his cheeks for the older man, his pretty pink hole on display, and it’s mere seconds before he feels the older man’s come hit his hole and the small of his back, Terry letting out a deep groan.
He too remembers what Terry likes.
Terry turns him, going ask to his knees swallowing him down and it doesn’t take much for him either when Terry’s spit wet finger slides into his ass.
“I think it may be tighter,” he says, grinning at Daniel.
Daniel slumps to the seat as Terry stands, back to their original position, Terry towering over him.
Daniel glares up at him but the effect is lost considering he’s covered in the older man’s come.
“8 sharp tonight, Danny-boy. Don’t be late,” Terry says, already walking out.
Daniel shows up 8:15 out of spite.
If it means Terry fucks him a bit harder well, they both know what they like.
Of that, there was no doubt.
Apologies as it’s not really fucking in the sauna in the literal sense but if Terry had a towel on, I can’t see him having anywhere to have some lube handy lol
Also for how long it took.

Street Fighter 6 Training Journal Part 1
Jun 17th
Well I installed the game, booted it up and spent the next like couple minutes fighting with the Capcom ID thing. Got that sorted out only to find that the online wasn't working so I went into World Tour, it's alright unfortunately I can't enjoy it that much due to graphic limits.  Also, after completing the first chapter of the World Tour, I'm even more of a fan of Luke. Sure, he's kind of a dude bro but he cares and is trying. What a great way to have players get to know your new character that previously has been despised by the fanbase.  ah the joys of being so bad, I forgot what it was like to sit on the grid for hours doing the same motions over and over again praying for them to connect because I have no idea why they do or don't or how they do.
Jun 18th
Decided to try out the character trials for the characters I’m interested in(Jamie, Luke, Chun, Guile). Could only get to 9 on Jamie Could only get to 7 on Luke Could only get to like 5 or something with Guile where I had to do a standing flashkick could only get to 4 or 5 with Chun.  decided to back out of the trials and learn a bit more about Jamie in training mode after watching his character tutorial. Figured out that his game play is pretty simple. Learned my pokes and anti air as well as basic baby combos. Gonna play randoms or friends tomorrow online.  Also decided to curb the drive rush mechanic till I get a better handle on my character, will probably bite me in the ass but I think it'll make learning the game less daunting for me.
Jun 19th
Finally got some time to play, played the arcade mode for Jamie and got the basic 2mk > 236 mp > 6K > 6K rekka drink down pretty consistently, well on player 1 side. Next is player 2 side.  Just gotta keep reminding myself, Rome wasn't built in a day and I really want to get better at Street Fighter.  I also learned that my rig can't handle ryu's stage. My frame rate tanks through the whole match, sucks cause his is one of my favorites, but can't do anything about it till I get a new pc.
Jun 27th
Jeez, it's been a while since I could play sf6. So in my short 2 hour lab session I learned: Jamie's dp has to hit pretty low cause if the first kick doesn't land he doesn't launch I can anti air with 2KK If I air to air with any button, I can dp after for extra damage. 2lp 2lp 2mp is harder than I thought and not reliable for me 5hp has to be canceled early The only way I've found to combo into H236 is 2hp(without any punish or crush factors that is) I'm comfortable doing my bnb on p2 side now.
Jun 29th
After watching Sajam's latest video on spacing/whiff punishing I hopped into the lab to practice whiff punishing and after seeing what Sajam showed with Jamie for a second or two I wanted to see what I could get off 5HK. Turns out I can get 236HP off 5HK, which can lead to bnb.  After that, I started practicing jump ins. And learned that j.mk>2mk won't combo into 236HP, but j.mk>5mk will. Eventually, I started practicing punish combos thanks to the built-in templates in training mode.  I believe it was around this time that dno showed up and called me crazy for practicing on p2 side to start. Anyway, I was practicing the punish combo starting with 5HK trying to see if I could get 2 drinks, I couldn't. Started tossing supers into the idea. 5hk>6Hk>super.  After doing this with Jamie's breakin' super, I tried his lvl3. Learned the timing for when to input after lvl 3 to continue combo. -realization- This is just trial 9 that I'm stuck on with Jamie. Goes into trials to confirm Yup Tries to complete trial Can't link shit Wtf lol.  Also, I can hear you thinking, "Danny, this is an awful lot of training mode. Why not go online?" Well, because a lot of the stages completely devour my frames, and I don't like looking at the grid any more than I have to... So once I get my new PC imma be fighting!
Jul 5th
After upgrading and installing again I played online and did my placements. They went about as well as expected honestly but that's okay.
Tumblr media
Jul 6th
After reflecting a bunch on the matches I played last night, as painful as it was, I realized a few things. 1. I need to not worry about everyone else. My toxic trait is constantly,  and I mean constantly, comparing myself to others. Friends, family, other players, etc.  2. I realized that I was accidentally getting OD moves for punishes instead of supers cause I was hitting 2 punches or 2 kicks. 3. I'm pretty good at recognizing when I can take a sip with Jamie in neutral. (Though this is mostly because players my rank aren't as aggressive)  4. I can get full stacks with Jamie fairly often(again, cause of the rank), but don't do anything really with it except switch up my rekka combo. 5. I probably rely on Jamie's 5mk, 2mk, and sweep target combo too much.
Jul 10th
So yesterday, I played more online. Made it to Iron 3, and had a great time. The only characters I had trouble with were Lilly and Gief(modern). I don't think I won a match against any of them I came across. However, that was because of me messing up, and I recognized where I did.  All the top tier chars I played, I was able to hold my own against cause they weren't being as oppressive as I see higher elo. Also, they always 1 and done me every Ken, dj, and juri once they one the first match, gone to the aether lol.  The matches I played to completion were fantastic. I practiced my anti airs and recognized when to use them more. I punished with supers more. I was getting better at pushing my advantage when I had it.  Two final thoughts 1. I started actually using Jamie's divekick and it's been working out pretty well for me. I’ve been using it like I did Saberwulf's more for mobility, reaching the ground faster for punishes and side swapping.  2. Capcom really does send Manon's after you if you get a win streak lmao

XXII: The Nonsense Has Escalated
She refuses to be who Helen was, the cause of countless demises while hiding behind fortified barriers. That's not who Ara Jackson is. She's the solution, not the problem.
Ara's looking at Piper's dagger for directions, and it shows her the outside of what seems to be an old workshop. The blade obliges to her requests easily, almost like it recognizes its original owner. It takes her no time to find a motorcycle and she takes it. If the owner's lucky, she won't even damage it beyond repair.
Ara drives through the city following her compass, it guides her effortlessly because there is only one thing she wants right now and that's finding Nico. Eventually, she locates the old workshop. Ara walks up to the entrance and breaks in.
It takes her just a couple of minutes to get to the bottom, which of course is way bigger than it looks on the outside. Ara is overwhelmed by all the cages and machinery surrounding her.
"...this spectacle will be even better," one of the giant twins is saying. "The Romans always wanted bread and circuses—food and entertainment! As we destroy their city, I will offer them both. Behold, a sample!"
Percy talks, which sends a wave of relief through Ara's body. "Wonder bread?"
"Magnificent, isn't it? You can keep that loaf. I plan on distributing millions to the people of Rome as I obliterate them."
"Wonder bread is good," the other twin says. "Though the Romans should dance for it."
Ara comes out right behind the giants, and Percy's the first to spot her. There is a split second of recognition on his face before he looks back at the giants and resumes his conversation.
"Maybe you should bring our other friends here. You know, spectacular deaths... the more the merrier, right?"
Ara looks down at the giant's feet—if she can even call them that—and sees Nico lying there. She notices the terrible shape he's in, almost pure bones and skin, way too similar to the old mummy they used to keep in the Big House's attic. Seeing him like this brings her no satisfaction.
They won't kill these guys without a god present, but at least she can get Nico out, and that would take away the leverage the giants have on them, and they might have a chance to run. Ara holds Almighty, still as a compass, and waits.
"Hmm... No. It's really too late to change the choreography. But never fear. The circuses will be marvelous! Ah... not the modern sort of circus, mind you. That would require clowns, and I hate clowns."
"Everyone hates clowns," his brother points out. "Even other clowns hate clowns."
"Exactly. But we have much better entertainment planned! The three of you will die in agony, up above, where all the gods and mortals can watch. But that's just the opening ceremony! In the old days, games went on for days or weeks. Our spectacle—the destruction of Rome—will go on for one full month until Gaea awakens."
"Wait," Jason intervenes. "One month, and Gaea wakes up?"
"Yes, yes. Something about August First being the best date to destroy all humanity. Not important! In her infinite wisdom, the Earth Mother has agreed that Rome can be destroyed first, slowly and spectacularly. It's only fitting!"
"So... You're Gaea's warm-up act," Percy continues.
"This is no warm-up, demigod! We'll release wild animals and monsters into the streets. Our special effects department will produce fires and earthquakes. Sinkholes and volcanoes will appear randomly out of nowhere! Ghosts will run rampant."
"The ghost thing won't work—Our focus groups say it won't pull ratings."
"Doubters! This hypogeum can make anything work!"
One of the twins moves to a control board providing Ara with a blind spot. She sneaks in closer, making sure the other twin isn't looking. Piper and Jason see her then, so they do their best to keep the giants's focus on them. Ara seizes Nico's jacket and almost whimpers at how easily she can drag him back, he's too malnourished.
Percy's relief is written all over his face and he turns to the others. "I'm getting tired of this guy's shirt."
"Combat time?" Piper seizes her cornucopia.
"I hate Wonder bread," Jason grumbles.
Ara tries to make Nico come back to his senses. "C'mon Ghost King..." she rummages through her bag and pulls out her bottle of nectar. She tilts the boy's face up and feeds him. "Now's not the time to take your title seriously!"
Nico's eyes open though it takes them a moment to focus. Once he sees it's her, his expression turns into a scowl. "You."
"Happy to see you too," she whispers. "Can you stand?"
Nico tries to get up and slips, so Ara places his arm around her shoulders and carries him to safety. "You'll hide until it's safe to go, got it?"
Nico's reply is a weak grumble, he must be extremely weak if he's not trying to fight her orders. Ara's about to leave when she hears growling, she looks back and finds two leopards slowly approaching.
She shields Nico's body with her own. "Piper, we could use some help here!"
The girl looks back and sees the felines. "Going!"
Her sister runs in their direction and points the cornucopia to the opposite side, a large piece of warm roasted meat flies off and distracts the leopards successfully.
"I miss Seymour," Ara sighs.
"Go help Jason and Percy, I'll watch after Nico."
"Take this," Ara gives her Katroptis back. "Works just as good as that horn you carry."
Piper takes the weapon and keeps feeding Nico small pieces of ambrosia so he can get back on his feet. Ara joins the fight. "Sorry I'm late, Hedge and I were having a great time talking shit about you."
Jason snorts. "Sorry to spoil the fun."
"Don't worry about it," she turns Almighty into a sword. "This will be fun too."
"Hydra! Hydra!" Percy shouts, running towards them.
"Where did that come from?" Ara yelps.
"I set it free!"
"WHAT?"
"The fireworks!"
Ara knows what he's trying to tell her and together they reach the device.
"Can you—"
"Yes, just make sure it comes to us!" She interrupts him.
Percy gets the Hydra to approach and Ara blows it up with the fireworks, it causes such a mess that they end up blowing up more than expected. They bury one of the twins under rubble.
Ara winces. "That's exactly why I'm not allowed to use explosives..."
Percy frowns. "You design bombs."
"That's different."
"Guys, the controls!" Jason shouts.
"Go, I got your back!" Percy tells her.
Ara runs over and looks at the buttons and levers, but they're not labeled in a way she can understand, she elbows Percy. "Takes too long, just break it!"
Percy cuts the whole thing in half, and a shower of sparks comes out of it. The twin still standing reaches them and Ara stands in front of Percy, turning her sword into a shield and stopping the giant's spear from impaling them.
Jason rushes over after checking up on Piper and Nico. The three of them stand together, but there's not much they can do. The other giant crawls out from under the debris and picks up his weapon, Ara turns Almighty back into a sword.
"What now?"
"We won't give up," Jason states out loud so the giants hear. "We'll cut you into pieces like Jupiter did to Saturn."
"That's right," Percy adds heatedly. "You're both dead. I don't care if we have a god on our side or not."
"Well, that's a shame. I'd hate to think I made a special trip for nothing." There, descending on a small platform, is Baccus. Mr D's Roman version. "Really, Ephialtes, killing demigods is one thing. But using leopards for your spectacle? That's over the line."
"This—this is impossible. D-D—"
"It's Bacchus, actually, my old friend. And of course it's possible. Someone told me there was a party going on."
"You—you gods are doomed! Be gone, in the name of Gaea!"
"Hmm..." The god walks forward staring at everything with disdain. "Tacky. Cheap. Boring. And this... Tacky, cheap, and boring. Honestly, Ephialtes. You have no sense of style."
"STYLE? I have mountains of style. I define style. I—I—"
"My brother oozes style!"
"Thank you!"
"Have you two gotten shorter?" Baccus squints at the pair.
"Oh, that's low. I'm quite tall enough to destroy you, Bacchus! You gods, always hiding behind your mortal heroes, trusting the fate of Olympus to the likes of these."
"Lord Bacchus," Jason shifts his weight from one foot to the other. "Are we going to kill these giants or what?"
"Well, I certainly hope so. Please, carry on."
"Didn't you come here to help?" Percy asks.
"Oh, I appreciated the sacrifice at sea. A whole ship full of Diet Coke. Very nice. Although I would've preferred Diet Pepsi."
"And six million in gold and jewels," Percy grumbles.
"Yes, although with demigod parties of five or more the gratuity is included, so that wasn't necessary."
"What?"
"Never mind, At any rate, you got my attention. I'm here. Now I need to see if you're worthy of my help. Go ahead. Battle. If I'm impressed, I'll jump in for the grand finale."
"That's great," Ara's voice is full of sarcasm. "Please do tell us what kind of grand finale you wish to see."
"Ah, good question... Perhaps you need inspiration! The stage hasn't been properly set. You call this a spectacle, Ephialtes? Let me show you how it's done."
They get taken to the center stage of the Colosseum. Ara hadn't been paying attention as she drove around the city, but she does remember seeing this place near the workshop she'd snuck into.
The floor is fixed, and the bleachers too. There is a roof over them to make it comfortable for the people in attendance. There is a box right in the best spot where Baccus, Piper, and Nico are seated, ready to watch the show.
"Next time, Birdy, keep your mouth shut," Percy mutters.
"I'd take the advice if it came from anyone else, but since it's you, I can't take it seriously."
"This is a proper show!" Bacchus speaks from his box, sounding like he's got a microphone on him.
"You're just going to sit there?" Percy demands.
"The demigod is right!" Ephialtes screams. "Fight us yourself, coward! Um, without the demigods."
"Juno says she's assembled a worthy crew of demigods," Baccus smirks. "Show me. Entertain me, heroes of Olympus. Give me a reason to do more. Being a god has its privileges."
The girl locks her eyes with Percy and manages a mocking smile. "Well, if we survive this, I promise to listen more often."
Percy doesn't smile. "Yeah, right."
"Let's get this over with," Jason stands ready.
The giants grab mountains of plaster and toss them over. They jump into the same trench.
"I'll take Otis again!" Jason shouts. "Or do you want him this time?"
"Which one is Otis?" Ara asks keeping her head down.
"No, no—We attack together," Percy replies. "Otis first, because he's weaker. Take him out quickly and move to Ephialtes. Bronze and gold together—maybe that'll keep them from re-forming a little longer."
"Why not?" Jason manages his own very ironic grin. "But Ephialtes isn't going to stand there and wait while we kill his brother. Unless—"
"Good wind today," Percy points out. "And there're some water pipes running under the arena."
They look at Ara, she sighs and turns Almighty into a bow. "Yeah, fine. My weapon is gold and bronze anyway, I count for two of you."
Jason laughs and Percy grins, it's the first smile he's shown her this entire day, and it does cheer her up a little bit.
"On three?" Jason offers.
"Why wait?" Percy responds.
They run out driven by mad frustration. Percy makes the water pipes explode and Jason tosses Ephialtes backwards giving Ara enough time to get to him.
"Hey, Otis!" Percy screams. "The Nutcracker bites!"
Ara gets to where Ephialtes is and aims an arrow at him. "Hello, cutie! We haven't been properly introduced!"
"Ara Jackson!" He shrieks, struggling to get out from the pool of wet plaster and debris.
"Not the first time I've got giants screaming my name—always an ego booster," Ara shoots and the arrow lands on the giant's left eye. She turns Almighty back into a sword. "I'm such a shitty archer..."
"Argh!" Ephialtes tries to get up, but his snake foot seems to be stuck on something.
"I was pointing at your nostril," she continues while dodging his attacks. "I've learned most monsters have weird soft spots, so the crazier you aim for the more effective it is—like this!"
She cuts the foot that's stuck and Ephialtes shrieks with rage. Her skin glows teal and she opens her palm over the running water making it move faster, not allowing Ephialtes's foot to reform. The giant uses both hands and tries to smack her on the head with his spear. Ara ducks and rolls, she doesn't look at what Jason and Percy are doing, they'll let her know when it's time to retreat.
"You may have ruined my spectacle, but Gaea will still destroy your world!" Ephialtes screeches.
"If it happens, you won't be here to see it."
On queue, the large shadow of the Argo II makes itself present above their heads, and Ara lets out a chortle of relief.

Q) Where do we pick up with Danny and the Dixon family?
A) 501 was really one of my favorite episodes I’ve gotten to film. Working with James Roday Rodriguez who plays Gary is always a great time. James is like a mentor to me, and I look up to him. Not only did I get to be behind the wheel this episode, but I got to have Gary in my passenger seat which made it a million times better for Danny. We embarked on a hilarious journey and made memories that will last a lifetime. Again, do not want to spoil anything just in case some viewers have not watched 501, but it was a great time for Danny and myself.
[...]
Q) It was such a poignant scene watching Danny seek sex advice from Gary, Rome and Eddie. Talk about filming that moment.
A) Oh man, that scene was one of my favorites I’ve ever filmed. I love working with Romany [Malco], David [Giuntoli] and James so much. When I get to work with all of them together, I know it’s gonna be a fun day. This was such a big scene for Danny as not only is he following in his father’s footsteps by carrying on his game night tradition spot in his jersey, but he has to simultaneously deal with the relationship stress he’s going through with Milo (Emrik Lopez). Once Gary spots that Danny is blatantly ignoring Milo’s phone calls, he goes full dad mode. I particularly enjoyed taking a step back on their coverage and really just watching these three in action as the “Band of Dads” reunited. James, Romany and David are such talented people and I have learned so much from them over the years. Throughout the duration of this scene, they were all recounting old stories from when they were young and making me laugh unbelievably hard. That is the beauty of working with these guys, it’s an acting class, but it really just feels like I’m hanging with a group of friends.
[...]
Q) What have been some of your personal favorite moments from filming over the seasons?
A) This question is always such a difficult one for me to answer. It has been six years since we’ve done the pilot and from my first day up until now I have more memories than I can remember from filming. From the hilarious improv lines James does that have me belly laughing and in tears on the floor, to the real sibling relationship I have with Lizzy. Truthfully, there is a new memory I take home every day from filming. I love hearing Romany’s crazy stories, David’s obscure thoughts that he blurts out to make you laugh and Stephanie’s [Szostak] motherly advice she always gives me. More recently, one of my favorite memories I have gained from the show is our last day. It was a bittersweet moment where I realized it was our last day filming this show which has been such a part of my life, but I felt a sense of pride and gratitude that I was fortunate enough to be a part of something so special. It’s hard to describe in words how I was feeling but it was almost as if it wasn’t real. I was in disbelief that it was six years ago when we shot the pilot and I first met everyone. In that moment, I learned what “time flies” truly felt like.

💃 Can you dance?
"I can but I don't really like to unless I have to." Logan says "Growing up Grandpa Danny taught all of us how to dance. Some of us are better than others but we can all hold our own. I haven't really shown Theo what I can do because we don't really go anywhere that requires me to dance. I like watching him dance though."
💪Do you work out?
"I mean my uncle owns one of the most successful gyms in New Orleans and LA. I usually go work out with my cousin, Livvy, when I can and sometimes Uncle Jamie when he's free. I like to keep toned up so I go a few times a week when I have time." Logan says "I do yoga either with Livvy or at home with Theo or alone to de-stress."
😌 What turns you on?
"Well everyone knows about my pregnancy and breeding kink already because of the last Q and A I did." Logan shrugs "But a couple of other things that turns me on....when Theo's eyes flash because he's fighting with his animal side, watching Theo dance, getting naughty videos and pictures from Theo...honestly just Theo on general. Before I met him I didn't have any sort of sexual attraction to anyone or anything but its like he unlocked something inside me and I can't get enough of my gorgeous husband."
🌎 - A country you want to visit?
"Well I took a trip to Korea when I was like 15 with Harabeoji and Grandpa Jay to visit where Harabeoji is from. It was his first time back in a long time since he left since he has bad associations with Daegu but things are a lot different there now. That was always somewhere I wanted to visit just to say I've made contact with our roots, you know?" Logan says "But now? I want to hit all the fashion capitals in the world. Gio says with my work getting out there more, there's a chance I could start hitting some of the major fashion shows and even offered to take me with him for the experience until then when be hits them. I want to visit Paris, Milan, Madrid, Berlin, Rome, Tokyo, London. My dad, Aunt and Uncle were born in London ans moved to New Orleans when they were like 10 ish, but I've never visited there yet. I've been to New York for fashion week and that was insane so I want to hit all the other major spots outside of the US."
