I think the most amazing thing about Alhaitham's ironic question "How has realizing your ideals gone for you?" is that yes, on the surface, it pierced through the heart of Kaveh's feelings at the time and forced him to reflect on whether he still had enough belief to keep going, but--BUT--

This is also Alhaitham subtly asking: "Was your life better without me?"

Kaveh left their friendship because of his ideals.

Kaveh's attempts to realize his beliefs began in earnest during his argument with Alhaitham, who challenged him back then by suggesting that Kaveh didn't honestly believe in his ideals and was just pursuing them out of guilt and a desire to punish himself for his father's death.

Kaveh's attempt to "realize his ideals," therefore, spans the exact amount of time he and Alhaitham have been separated. When Alhaitham asks about Kaveh's attempts, he's asking very specifically about the course Kaveh's life took when he was no longer in it.

How did it go for you? Were you happier? Was it worth it?

I truly believe that Kaveh will be able resolve his conflict with Alhaitham--and come to understand Alhaitham's actual feelings--when he realizes that, in that exact moment, he should have turned the question around:

How did realizing your ideals go for you, Alhaitham?

Was your life better off without me?

Every year around the holidays, a "bug war" breaks out in the Parker-Stark households 

Not bugs as in creepy crawlies. Technology bugs. Surveillance.

Tony and Peter are both determined to figure out what the other wants for the holidays 

The two are on surprisingly even ground: Peter's spider-sense doesn't consider this a threat, and FRIDAY won't snitch. They both have to find any "bugs" the old fashioned way.

Bonus:

Soon enough the whole Ironfam is wrapped up in it. November and December become a time of yearly paranoia, everyone watching what they say and "checking for bugs." 

Even Peter's friends discover tiny bugs on them. When Ned first learns the itty bitty robot behind his coat button is from Tony Stark trying to find out what he wants for Christmas he faints on the spot

I headcannon that Wrecker likes to cook. He’s not good at it, but he enjoys it. Every once in a while he’ll create some masterpiece by luck alone and everyone will just stare at him for a minute while they wonder if he’s been possessed by some cooking ghost, but he’d be so happy and present it to everyone and try to force them to try it. Omega’s the only one ever excited to try it, all the others are hesitant and Tech and Crosshair have to get Hunter’s dad look to get them to eat it. Wrecker just sits at the end of the table, not being able to sit still and basically vibrating from excitement as he watches his brother’s skepticism fade to them being impressed and happy to have a nice tasting meal. Any other times he burns it though, because he gets distracted by Batcher or Omega. Then Hunter has to tell him to be more careful and ban him from the kitchen for a few cycles. Once when the batch had been visiting Echo, Rex, and the rest of the rebellion, Wrecker went up to Nemec and Gregor and asked for tips on cooking. They spent the entire visit trying to help him fully learn how to cook while everyone else talked about the newest intel on the empire. After that Wrecker starts to make good food more often, and his brothers and sister start to actually get excited whenever he cooks. While on Pabu wrecker starts trying new seasonings since some are grown on the island, and whenever they visit a planet with a decent market he buys as much as he can. Eventually he got the chance to try making some desserts, which he and Omega both loved, Crosshair did too, he just didn’t want to admit it. After that he started making more sweets, some little things like cupcakes and such, and then some really over the top things. Whenever he makes a dessert he always lets Omega do the frosting on it (and lets her add as many chocolate chips as she wants)

So yeah, I headcannon wrecker as being able to cook, at first really badly, but then he gets the hang of it :) and I’m totally not gonna make a fic about this now… totally, definitely.

I was writing a fan fiction and it got me thinking about how Kell and Lila deal with anxiety. So if you find anxiety a trigger, do not read this post :)

There's this natural remedy for anxiety called Laila. Laila is pronounced lie-la just like Lila. It's so funny to me that a remedy for anxiety is called after her. One may argue that anxiety is a foreign concept to Lila because she throws herself into things as if nothing scares her. But on closer inspection, her nervousness comes through in other ways. She often fights anxiety with actions that are unexpected and rash, and that make her look impulsive. She also manages her anxiety by saying things to justify what she is doing/did but her body language gives her away. Think about the times she cried on page and or times others witnessed her being vulnerable and hurt. That was Lila trying not to lose control over her feelings and keep her emotions in check and rein her anxiety and fear, but she could not because emotions have a way to come out if we try to bury them all the time. She is a pro at masking her anxiety compared to others. That's because she believes that showing anxiety and fear to others is a weakness, and she is scared to show herself vulnerable. Hence, the rare occasions she shows her vulnerable side to someone are precious and denote trust and respect for that person, other than affection. "I feel safe sharing this side of myself with you. Only you will ever see this part of me because I trust you," kind of statement.

Kell is a little different. In my opinion, he's the anxiety king of this series. He isn't cunning and scheming like Lila (who is self-conscious about every thing she does), and you can clearly see he's anxious in a lot of occasions. He worries a lot about Lila and Rhy for example, because they tend to act rashly instead of thinking things through like he does, and they do not always do things that he considers "safe". This generates a lot of anxiety in Kell. At the same time, he wants to leave the people he loves freewill, but he also wants to control their actions because they make him anxious. He isn't reluctant to show himself vulnerable in front of others, but he blames himself a lot when he makes a mistake. He's probably his own worst critic and he tends to hide from the people he loves the most when this happens because he deals with it alone. He wallows a lot when he's anxious and he overthinks stuff instead of finding a practical solution to it, because his mind is his refuge. His anxiety is eased when he goes out of his head and from his looping thoughts, and dares himself to think outside the box, which he rarely does.

Horror is probably the one most around Error- Dust would be a good listener but he's prob quiet and a lil distant and Killer is,,, busy with Nightmare(and maybe Dream)

Had to search up Hans' motivations bc he was such a minor character that I genuinely forgot everything about him(except a random moment in that one song he had with Anna) and honestly? It makes the idea even better(but I'm not going deeper into this bc lore and stuff isn't my thing-(liar liar pants on fire))
