I'm trying to write a fanfic crossover with someone I headcanon as their cousin but it's hard because I've never written them in depth before, lol.

Onto the question at hand, I imagine the Clarke family is very extensive(I mean I fully believe characters are related to their same face model characters) but as cousins I think it'd first depend on if they live close and who's closest in age, if the other character is imagined to have grown up in little hope and is within a similar age bracket then I could see them having an honorary siblings type status but if they only see them once in a blue moon it may be worth factoring in the Clarke children being adopted. What I mean is without necessarily stating it you could have that distance feel even greater due to character perceptions if you want them to start rocky

Attempting to speak more individualy, Dennis is in a band, plays football and is resident grouch, quick to voice his frustration and obviously boast about his record collection, I've heard him described along the lines of being an odd mix between rebel and conservative, he's very suspicious of new/different things but he's got that whole counter culture garage band thing going on(So picture him as the type of youth that would have been seen as "influenced by devil music" in the satanic panic whilst also very much doing the panicking himself), as a sibling he's shown showing off his music to Anthony and complaining if he defends Megan or Tanya(about Vince), if there's a chance he'd have beef with this other character he's not going to keep his opinions to himself and if he has a more positive relationship I imagine he'd be more casual and layed back but still he's gonna voice his opinion wether it's asked for it not

In contrast Tanya is much more closed off, she has a wall between her home life and her personal life, her family doesn't know about her beliefs and she longs to be away from it all, she dislikes getting involved believing that she'd just make things worse(but that may apply more to her parents), she's still very snarky in her interactions with her brothers and beneath it all she's soft(much like Taylor), I'd say she's very unlikely to reveal her beliefs to extended family and she may see dealing with them as a chore but again I think she'd keep it to herself, unless they just really vibe(tanya's sport is tennis), I'd say that all the in-game clues scattered around the whole town doing alternative stuff would indicate that she gets up to shenanigans and it ties in with her desire for personal freedom and that sense that her home life and personal life are two different things so again I could see her being closer to a hypothetical cousin if for example they'd run off and get up to trouble as kids. I think deep down she'd care for her cousin when it counts tho

For Megan it's a little more complicated, a lot of it depends on if you keep her being mentored by reverend Carson, at the time of the prologue that'd been ongoing for about two years and it's trickier to get a handle on how different she'd be if that was excluded(most likely she'd be a much more normal kid) but in general she'd be that one little cousin that's always getting into trouble as she acts out and gets into stuff that she shouldn't, Megan's issue is that she feels ignored, I feel like she'd probably become a cousin's shadow, especially if they're nice to her. Music is the one subject she's not failing so you could latch onto that if it's relevant

With Anthony he's very snarky/sarcastic but ultimately puts others ahead of himself, he seems to get along with others easily, that being said he also uses James's wording calling their household a mad house, he obviously loves history, he skateboards and plays baseball(crazy I know). Anthony's feelings of being on the outside are less relevant due to that being a post fire development, I'd say if Tanya is quiet rebellion then Anthony is quiet compassion, he expresses a lot of concern for Megan but doesn't approach her instead asking someone else to do it, it's not that he doesn't care so much as its a communication issue, he worries about her and she's unaware so her feelings of being ignored aren't helped. I think he'd get along with a cousin at least on a surface level unless they're a mega jerk, tho he could be a bit awkward depending as usual

I'll admit that I've never gotten an ask like this and I'm unsure how well I answered your question(haven't slept and personally forget my cousins exist from time to time so that may effect my answer)

Shiver and Frye tend to get into heated but friendly arguments over petty shit, Big Man makes sure they don’t get too heated

They keep track of their fans and if a particular fan hasn’t shown up in a while they can’t help but worry about them

They also keep all the letters and gifts they receive from their fans

They all sleep in one bed but have separate rooms if one of them needs privacy

Shiver’s sassy attitude is to cover up imposter syndrome

Frye is very energetic and loves performing but she does get anxious about it from time to time

Big Man is very chill for the most part but sometimes worries that he takes away from Shiver and Frye since he’s the fan favorite

Of course, they’re always there to support each other

Big Man is actually really good at being the voice of reason and getting people to open up to him

Even though they are cousins, they do consider themselves sisters on a spiritual level

Callie gives off major lesbian vibes, while Marie gives off bi vibes. Cuttlefish is gay himself so he doesn’t care, as long as they’re happy.

They balance each other out like crazy, separately they’re pretty chaotic in their own ways

Specifically, Callie is Chaotic Good and Marie is Chaotic Neutral

Callie and Marie consider Captain 3 to be their honorary sister/brother/sibling

They keep in touch with Agent 4, but Agent 4 is usually extremely busy

Callie was a bit of a crybaby when they were kids, and she felt like Marie was the only one who understood her and didn’t chastise her for it

Marie will not hesitate to smack a bitch if they harm her family

They’re secretly scheming to get Cuttlefish and Octavio back together

Harmony (*cracks knuckles*)

Harmony absolutely has autism 100%.

Harmony hates it when people touch her face or her hair, only a select few people can do that.

Harmony’s “lack of motivation” causing her to be late for band practice is partially because of burnout. She does really like being in the band, but it became quite stressful for her. It was one of the reasons she came to Splatsville and voluntarily picked up her “job” at Hotlantis. She needed something new in her life.

She still keeps in touch with the band, they’re all hoping they can still release a new album even though they’re apart.

Despite that she was never actually hired for her job, she still receives a paycheck when her manager can remember to give it to her. It’s not like she needs it, though, she has plenty of money from album sales.

She and Eddy are best friends. (Perhaps more in the future?)

Her main special interest is squid friends, she knows all the lore and her collection is extremely large.

Her other special interests include music and retro gaming.

She’s not actually as absent minded as people think she is, she just has social anxiety and prefers to keep her interactions with customers quick and simple.

Background: No one ever thought that Bill Cipher would ever have children, let alone mostly HUMAN children but he did. Well it was more like one children. That children's name was Isaac William Cipher and he was born on the isle of the lost, a near year after his future captain, Hannah Hook, was born.

- debating having him be from new york, the accent doesn't really suit him. he's definitely a city boy but probably from somewhere a lot smaller

- has glasses, doesn't wear them (unless absolutely necessary) due to him getting teased for them as a kid

- definitely did some sports in his youth. he was the dorkiest jock you'd ever meet ngl

- slightly insecure about a lot of things. namely his nose, his guitar skills and his tendency to be a pushover. he gets a little defensive when teased about them but plays it off as a joke

- his confidence rises by 500% whenever he's on stage for some reason. he's wrecked a few guitars before because of it

- he's very scared of doing things that're potentially dangerous. he'd love to ride a motorcycle if they weren't so scary. he actually used to skate when he was younger, but he stopped after hurting his ankle

- he was a bit more rowdy in his youth, trying to play tough to combat his insecurities. he actually knows how to throw a punch or two because of this, but he'd never fight anyone again

- very shady businesswoman, but doesn't actively scam people unless she's in dire need of money.

- doesn't have an actual business either. she just sells stuff she finds at a higher price. her sister, fran, is largely unaware of this, but if she knew she'd scold her and tell her to just let her do all the work. pam's only doing it to help support fran since she's basically the man of the household and very overworked

- hates the taste of cigarettes but wouldn't deny one if offered

- hasn't had a stable relationship in years. she mostly takes part in one night stands to quench her thirst for intimacy. she's very sleazy with how she goes about it, too. sees is like a game that you need a strategy for.

- she does have one friend though. mike steel (an oc that's still a work in progress) from the bar she frequents. they've sworn not to date, knowing the both of them were horribly unprepared, but it's debatable how much they really plan to uphold that promise

- she's okay friends with the bartender. fran actually sought out the bartender and very politely demanded that he bring fran home, had she ever passed out drunk, and that he keep an eye on her. she also very politely threatened legal action if he didn't

- pam was always pretty social and had a habit of dumping her problems onto others even as a kid. her friends would leave because they thought of her as a leech and a complete bummer. rather than working on changing this part of her, though, she blames herself and drinks herself into a stupor almost every night. assumes that that's just the way she was made.

fran,

- habitually masks her southern accent for business related reasons (wanting to be taken seriously) and for personal reasons (it reminds her of her parents)

- horrible anger issues that haven't been treated in the slightest. not even pam is safe, but she at least knows that fran doesn't mean whatever she says or does when she's mad. fran feels horribly guilty whenever she has an outburst and will isolate herself in her work for days at a time.

- may or may not have accidentally severely injured someone in a fit of rage before

- she's actually the youngest. pam used to care for her when her parents didn't, and now fran feels obligated to return the favor. even if pam is a freeloader. she still loves her regardless :'o)

- she may act like it, but she's not actually that much of a bitch. just incredibly awkward and socially constipated. doesn't know how to react to casual comments outside of talking to her sister, so she either doesn't say anything at all or responds in a very matter of fact business talk kind of way

- she has to remember pam's birthday for her, but she won't tell her since pam gets depressed and uses it as an excuse to get completely sloshed. fran will still give her a gift, but under the guise of something else

- hates alcohol but, with encouragement from her sister, will dabble in it every once in a while. she's a sad and sensitive kind of drunk.

- fran was quiet, shy. she never told anyone about her issues and hardly does to this day. kinda had to carry pam through school, but she ended up failing regardless. fran sees her success as an obligation so that she can care for her sister.

- idk what her job is still. i was thinking accounting? but still idk man i dont have a job im a freeloader /j

Lan Qiren smokes weed because he is a rigid wound up person all the time and is infinitely more tolerable once he's had a hit. Frequently can be seen giving lectures on things like sustainable farming while high as a kite. He needs to stress out less.

Madam Lan and QHJ met while in holding cells overnight for protesting. They fell in love immediately and still live in the commune today. While they still only had the two (literal twins this time) boys, they got to raise them together and be happy. Lan Wangji's first memory is helping his mother plant gentians outside their home.

The rabbits just live in the hippie commune with them. They were rescued during a protest on an animal testing place and brought back to live with them. You must watch your step for there may be random bunnies suddenly.

Lan Xichen became an environmental lawyer so that he can help his family legally show up to protest and get them right back out of jail if all else fails. Cops dread him showing up in a suit instead of his long comfy flowing white robes because it means hours of sweet smiles and stubborn insistence on following the laws.

They grow all their own food and weave their own clothes. They are known as the Lans collectively since their founder and the twins' great grandfather is Lan An who eloped out of his temple with his to be wife and gathered a bunch of like minded people to live peacefully and away from the cruel industrial world. They are very old now but still live peacefully in the commune as well, leading meditation and song circles.

Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen grew up singing and creating music together. Their world was filled with song from the day they were born. They got to run around barefoot in the grass with other kids in the commune and be happy. Lan Wangji is still a serious child, but he is nowhere near as closed off or withdrawn, it is simply his nature to be somewhat reserved.

Wangxian met at a farmers market. Lan Wangji was there to sell produce and look at crafts, Wei Wuxian was there with his parents and his adopted Wen siblings and dancing along with a local band playing and having a wonderful time in the sunshine. Lan Wangji immediately fell in love and after some gentle pushing by his twin to go up and talk to the dancer, managed to hit it off and they were dating in like a week. Wei Wuxian greatly enjoys the commune and finds it a very peaceful place to be. He and his family are honorary parts of the Lans as well, always welcome as they are.

Someday I should come up with a fic where I can write all of this, it's just too much fun not to share.

Soo, a few days back, I had shared a post asking for some BBRae AU fanfiction recommendations, so, let's put the fact aside that it didn't really help... but now, I'm here to share some stories that I've read, and I recommend reading!

So, this list only consists of AU (Alternate Universe) stories where they aren't superheroes, so you can skip it if you want ^^

So... I won't rank them, because I think every story is amazing, (and I'm pretty easy to please,) so, I'm just assorting them as I keep collecting the links :) Also, I'll try my best to review the stories without giving away any spoilers...

This story definitely comes in my top-5 list blindly, and it deserves so much more! The story is about Gar and Raven, who are adults now... and let's just say there are far too many coincidences in this one! It's a lovely story with also a healthy amount of tension... because, I personally believe it can't be BBRae without some arguments *shruggs*. You should definitely check it out if you haven't already!!

Oofff... okay, so this story is actually one of the first BBRae stories I've read and it's really close to my heart...

First of all, I want to say that the characters in this story are freakishly accurate. I mean, the personalities are on-point. In this story, the Titans are high schoolers, but this isn't exactly a high school romance kinda book. To be honest, this isn't exactly a romance book..(?) It's more like an action/thriller... And... it isn't heavily a BBRae book... I mean, yeah, it is based on those two characters, and Gar spends most of his time crushing on her... but, y'know, it's a book that shows both of them growing... and learning about each other -and themselves.

The writer does an amazing job to portray the character's feelings and personalities, and I'm sure her writing won't disappoint you.

The only drawback this story has is... well, it has a discontinued sequel named "Glass", so, it's kinda sad that, I mean, I've fallen in love with those characters... but, they don't really have a happy ending soo…

I don't really know what to say about this story without ruining it, but if you're on the lookout for an adult Titans BBRae fic, this is definitely your stop. Well, let me just say that, Gar and Rachel are best friends, a troupe I personally adore, and they live together in an apartment in Jump City.

This story has a lot... I mean, A LOT of feels, and the writer... *chef kiss* She really knows what she's doing. May it be the setting, the characters, the emotions... the author could deliver it wonderfully.

It also has a lot of other Titan members, so I like the fact that it also gives us an insight on what's going on in their lives too, rather than just Gar and Rachel.

Hands up in surrender, I won't say anything else, because I don't trust my mouth (or fingers), but this work is definitely a must read.

"Spy vs Spy" by Caitastrophe8499 | Rated M for mature themes, violence, and adult situations.

This... is a masterpiece people. You should definitely read it... like RIGHT NOW!

In this story, Gar and Rae are from rival agencies, Doom Patrol and Titans, and as fate has it, they're forced to work together. Neither of them are happy about it, because of each other's cocky and standoffish attitude and as both of them work best solo... and also... both of them hate each other... at first. This book, it includes lots of action, and if you knew me, you'll know that I am a sucker for crime and thriller. I mean, this story in itself is so great, it could be adapted into an ACTION MOVIE!! Or maybe a graphic novel to start with. :)

And what's best about it is, it doesn't only show two people romance each other, it shows a group of people working together to catch a deadly villain. I won't say much more to build suspense, but all I'll say is, it's entertaining, spicy, and the character dynamic fit perfectly with their relationship and situation, and if you haven't read it, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!! CHECK IT OUT NOW!! This will probably be one of the best recommendations of your life.

This is a feel good, light-hearted BBRae story that I very much enjoyed. So, basically, it's about Raven (or is it Rachel, I forget), and how the (dashingly handsome and) annoying employee won't leave her alone. She also gets a series of mail that sparks her interest, and I don't trust myself to say more without spoiling it.

Magisterquinn, the author, has an amazing collection of the BBRae (AU) stories they've written, "Chivalry Isn't Dead", "Making Mr.Right" (a must read) and "In Paris" to name a few, so, I definitely recommend checking out their profile for amazing and clever reads.

The Malchior Widow -by beautifulpurpleflame | Rated M

...this story...all I wanna say is... if you haven't read it, you're missing out on something wonderful in your fangirl(/boy) life.

This story is based on my favorite troupe, which is where all Gar wants is for Raven to open up to him. It's like, Raven is a reserved, "untouchable" person, and Gar, being Gar... feels an urge to talk to her. After many, many attempts, when Gar finally talks to her, his friends are like, "How'd you get her to talk?" or "How's she open up to you?" and the response is, "No one's ever even tried before."

"The Malchior Widow" goes at a satisfying, feel-good pace... and it's one hell of a journey. I mean, as the title suggests, Raven's a widow, and she isn't exactly open to the possibility of loving... or trusting someone else yet. It shows not only both of them falling in love... but also understanding, knowing, and learning to trust each other.

Another good AU story by Beautifulpurpleflame is "The Beach House", so you can also read that.

According to the author, only one chapter and an epilogue is left... so, I guess we could wave it off with a yellow flag?

I, myself, can't go on a single day without music. And the idea of my favorite team of superheroes... being a Rock Band..? Boy, ya' don't gotta tell me twice!

This is a slow burn story, which includes Gar in his mid-twenties, along with the other Titans (except Raven), being a part of a Rock Band, which plays gigs at different places just as a side hobby. But, as they have real talent, they get a once in a life-time chance to be an officially labeled band, they're ought to be super hit. Here, we also see some other Titans, which is a real sight for sore eyes sometimes... But, just being good doesn't mean that everything's out for them in a gold platter. The team itself faces lots of challenges which is, truth be told, really entertaining. And the fact that Gar's love interest is his own manager? Oooh... you're up for a real good ride...

I'll keep the rest of the reading to you... and believe me, the story is waaay better than my small review.

Here, Raven joins a singing group which does covers, and quite willingly, she can't seem to keep her eyes off of their leader/director, Gar Logan... and looks like he can't either. It's an amazing story, and I believe you'll really enjoy reading it!

Soo... as you might've guessed from the title, here Gar and Rae are high schoolers. They live together with Rick (Dick/Robin), Kory and Vic in the Tower. I guess we could call it a slow burn, and what I enjoy is it also has the other Titans in a satisfying amount.

What I love about this story is that Gar and Rae don't just jump into a romantic relationship (like most teens do, I'm just sayin'!) and start a romance, no. In this story, first, they understand each other... and in a subtle manner, fall for each other. It's a really sweet and practical story, and I really enjoyed it... (even though I had to wait for the ending for decades!!)

Just one thing that makes this story a bit weird is that instead of "Gar" or "Garfield", Beast Boy is mentioned as "Logan" throughout the whole story... so... it was a bit... y'know? *shruggs*. But otherwise it's a must read.

This story, to be honest, will definitely qualify as a cliché high school romance, "popular basketball kid falls for introverted bookworm nerd", but I really enjoyed reading it.

I mean like, you know what they say about Disney Classics, right? Even though we've read Beauty and The Beast or Snow White, we still like to watch the movies..? This story's like that.

Even though the troupe is kinda cliché, the story itself is executed in a very engaging manner, with interesting character dynamics and some original plots, so, I would definitely recommend reading it. (I, myself, have read it more than five times...)

Book: Living In Yesterday Forever

Born in 1947, Liverpool

Star is journalist and Scarlett is a fashion designer

Grew up next to John Lennon and became his honorary little sisters (he’s really protective of both)

Slowly became the Beatles little sisters

Summary: The Walker twins are the honorary little sisters of the Beatles, they grew up with John Lennon and when the band formed, they were there through the lads' journey. John always had the two girls follow him around due to their abusive mother, plus John never let them stay home alone. At the age of 14, the twins' dad died and gave John custody of the twins to protect them from their mother. At that time the Beatles had just come back from Hamburg, they survived Beatlemania and got titled The Beatle Twins from the press. Once they moved to London it wasn’t safe for them to go to London schools due to the fans constantly jumping them. The twins got sent to Hampton Grammar (yes Ik it’s a school for boys but I didn’t know when I was planning this out two years ago lol), and there the twins met the young Brian May. At the time he just started to create the Red Special. The three of them bonded over music and became best mates. When Brian started his band, he had the twins help since they were technically a part of a huge band. They did travel with the lads though and didn’t have much of normal school life. In the fall of 1965, the twins set a new chapter of their life and started Uni. Star went right to partying as Scarlett hung around her friend Tim Staffell and met then Farrokh Bulsara. Those two instantly clicked as best friends. They both had an equal share of messy relationships but for Star, it was especially hard since she was secretly in love with George Harrison and has been since she first met him. In 1968, Scarlett met the 19-year-old Roger Taylor and automatically started a war with him due to their first meeting not going smoothly. By winter of that year, George’s marriage to Pattie is crumbling and his feelings for Star have been breaking through this barrier he made when he started to date Pattie as Scarlett had gotten into a car crash and woke up with amnesia. Due to that Scarlett’s hidden feelings for Roger were harder for her to hide. The book is the love story of Scarlett & Roger plus George & Star, and it’s also the story of the life of the Beatles twins.

Summary: Addie Hughes was a blip boom kid, meaning she was born right after the blip. She’s the childhood best friend of Morgan Stark, they are each other’s day ones. After the blip and more kids started to become heroes, Nick Fury made a private school that was for both heroes and average kids named Shield Academy. Morgan had a pass to go there since her father was Ironman but Morgan begged for Addie to go. Those two always caused trouble and the biggest thing they did affect Addison the most. The two girls were in the biology lab, and there is this green-ish yellow rock that is always had a “do not touch” note on it. The two girls got bored with the assignment and were right next to the rock, the two girls were cracking jokes and Addison fell out of her seat taking the rock with her. The rock broke open and the room blasted with the color of the rock. The energy of the rock had gotten infused into Addison's DNA and gave her time-like powers. She woke up in Shields nursing courtiers with Nick fury not so happy about the accident. As she started to defend herself, her hair turned into a greenish-yellow color and she started to float. She had a few tests ran and they found out that the power of the rock fused with her DNA. Her schedule got switched to all hero classes along with Morgan, who has been playing with her father's technology. Morgan creates a suit for Addison to help her control her powers until Addison figures out how to deal with her powers.

Kioko Mori

Hero name: Phoenix

Powers: Burn Body (Meaning she can burst their body into flames and use their body as ammunition to shoot fire projectiles)

Her one parent is pro-hero and her other didn't want her to become a hero at first but didn't stop her to go to UA.

Summary: Kioko Mori is the only biological child of a fire Pro-Hero Flames. When he was on a mission in America, Flames met Kioko's mom and retired as a hero to be with her. They only had Kiko but adopted Kioko's sister Mariah but not too long after Flames had to return to Japan to help his UA friend All might to try and fight All for one. Flames had died by battling him but Kioko's mom never told her, just said her father had to return to Japan. Her mom adopted more children, one of them being Eris. Fast forward to when they are teenagers, Mrs. Mori grew hatred towards the idea of being a hero since that is what killed her husband. Meanwhile, Kioko always wanted to be a hero like her dad and was on a mission to find her father. Therefore, once UA had found out about Flames' daughter, they sent her a recommendation. Kioko told UA it was her, and her siblings Mariah and Eris or she's not going. UA agreed and they had gotten in without Mrs. Mori knowing. Once Mrs. Mori found out; she decided, after loads of fighting, to rent them a house for their studies. Soon as they went to Japan, Eris dropped out to be a villain meanwhile Kioko and Mariah go to UA. As she goes to school on how to be a hero, she discovers new things about her quirk while she tries to find answers on her father's whereabouts.

Half-Human and Yoda Species

Book: untitled (a star wars fic I started to write in 2019 but drafted)

She ages like a human until she hits 20, but once she hits 20 her Yoda Species's gene kicks in and she ages very slowly

She is embarrassed by her ears, so she hides them with a headband (thus why there are two pictures of her)

Her master is Qui-Gon Jinn and she trains besides with Obi-Wan Kenobi

Summary: Len-Ella was given to her Uncle and the Jedi Temple when she was a baby, her father is Yoda's brother, he was shunned once the council found out about Len-Ella's existence since her father technically broke the Jedi code. Yoda along with the other Jedi master's raised her. When she was 19, she was sent on a mission to protect Queen Amidala, by the end of the mission she lost her master. When she hits the age of 20, her Yoda species gene of slowly aging kicks in so she could roughly live up to 900 years. Meaning she witnessed the rise and fall of Anikin Skywalker and the rise and fall of the empire. She was a part of the rebellion and watched over both Skywalker twins and gave Obi-wan updates on Leia.

1. Jon Snow - The King In The North! My baby boy. King Jon of House Snark. The Pouty Prince That Was Promised. Prettiest Lad In All The Realms. The Curls ™ *does the twirly sword thingy* Co-Holder of The World Record For Longest Forehead Kiss. Enjoys Nuzzling Sansa. Talk shit, get hit. Sassier than you. I adore him.

2. Derek Shepherd - My beloved King Of Neurosurgery. Mr. Perfectly Fine. As practiced at denial as I am (see me ignoring the part where they killed him). Could easily be a member of House Snark with his sass, romantic nature, and his beard. Loves his wife, kids, fishing, and boats. Tolerates everything else. My fellow band kid. Walks around the hospital with earbuds in, listening to music. THEN, they have his son dress up as Star Lord. Don’t tell me that’s a coincidence. Could instinctively tell when his wifey needed a hug/comfort and I’m not gonna cry anymore about it. Believes is true love, and magic, and soulmates. BUT THATS CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. Literally jumped into freezing water to save the love of his life, then did CPR/ACLS for over an hour. The personification of the heart eyes emoji whenever he looks at Meredith. Thanks to Taylor, and them bringing him back in Mer’s wildest dreams, I have been reminded how much I love him. I’m okay...

3. Obi-Wan (Oh-babe Wan) Kenobi - “Too old for this shit” when he was only a Padawan. Somehow kept Anakin alive for as long as he did. That’s commendable. Also an honorary member of House Snark. The beard is strong with this one. *does the twirly lightsaber thingy* SOMETHING has got to be done about Padme’s taste. Tired Grandpa aesthetic when he was barely middle aged. Stressed ™. It’s probably Anakin’s fault. YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!

4. Samwise Gamgee - MY SPIRIT HOBBIT. Sick of everyone but Frodo. Would kill for potatoes. Afternoon tea and tending the garden is his happy place. “DONT YOU LOSE HIM, SAMWISE GAMGEE! and I don’t mean to.” “DONT GO WHERE I CANT FOLLOW.” The light in dark places when all other lights have gone out. I may be the mum friend, but Sam is the dad friend. Just ask Merry and Pippin.

5. Ronald B. Weasley - I named my ginger cat after him. Weasley Is Our King! Also a bringer of light. Harry’s ride or die from day one. Was willing to sacrifice himself in order for Harry to save the world WHEN HE WAS 11. Stood between Harry and a supposed mass murderer WITH A BROKEN LEG. Smarter and a better wizard than anyone gives him credit for. Don’t disrespect Ronald in front of me. Love you, Ronnie. 🧡

Home Movies #40: “Camp” | January 11, 2004 - 11:00 PM | S04E02

In “Camp”, Brendon and his robot pals attend a performance art camp where pompous, blustery counselors make their summers a living hell by attempting to squash their creative spirits (exploring the theme that Brendon’s movies might not actually be very good). Meanwhile, McGurk is roaming the woods after escaping a touchy-feely men’s cult. Will this incredibly improbable coincidence cause his story to intersect with Brendon and Co.’s “Goes To Camp” summer? Yes. It will.

Okay, despite that enormous shoehorning of McGurk into the story (would a scene at the beginning where McGurk is jealous of Brendon going to camp so he belligerently starts looking for his own camping expedition be too much to ask? Yes? Alright! I guess it’s really not that big of a deal), this is a really solid episode. The kids banding together in the face of adversity so they can produce a defiant play at the end with the sole purpose of burning bridges at the camp is so fun. There’s also some genuinely creepy imagery during a scene where McGurk is freaking out in the wood by himself, eating poisonous leaves. He somehow winds up buried alive under his own distress call spelled out in twigs. It’s surprisingly cinematic. It’s also very funny.

There’s a big music connection with this episode for two reasons: First this features the dudes from They Might Be Giants. They are music counselors who are also outcasts who help Brendon’s beauties do rude stuff at the end. Duane is also there. Their bits are pretty good, and the original song “Taste the Fame” is genuinely great. The second music connection is the DVD audio commentary which, I need to talk about. I’m sorry.

Season 4 of Home Movies was seen as a bit of a victory lap or a final hurrah or whatever you wanna call it, and when it was released on DVD they forwent the usual paltry amount of commentary tracks and instead loaded the thing up. I believe every episode had at least one commentary track, and some episodes had two, maybe three. This one had a second commentary and it featured the two jizz-eating retards from Modest Mouse.

They are commenting on the episodes ostensibly because they are “fans” of the show. But they act like they’re too cool to actually know anything about it. Lotta “who’s that guy” and disinterested grunts. They are charmless dullards and I despise them. I could never stomach their music for reasons that I couldn’t pin-point, and then one day I heard them talk and I was like “oh! They are such enormous douchebags that it somehow came through their music!” I, on the other hand, am perfect in most ways, and for sure that comes through in my writing. Right, everyone?

KITTY SECTION, A DISCOGRAPHY. 

Members: Adrien Agreste (guest/honorary member- piano & keyboards), Ivan Bruel (drums & occasional vocals), Juleka Couffaine (bass & backing vocals), Luka Couffaine (lead guitar & backing vocals), and Rose Lavillant (lead vocals). 

Formed in 2013, Kitty Section was a band not meant to every actually go anywhere. It’s eldest member, Luka Couffaine, was only eighteen at the time of its founding, with his younger sister, Juleka Couffaine, being sixteen along with her close friends Rose Lavillant and Ivan Bruel. The Couffaine siblings had always been involved in music, growing up on a houseboat that was never without some song or melody playing somewhere in the background. Their mother, semi-famous musician Anarka Couffaine, may have left the public eye and industry when she found herself pregnant for the first time, but she never let go of music in her life - encouraging both of her children to learn to play any instrument that caught their attention. So it wasn’t a surprise to anyone who knew them when they decided to create a band together, bringing in two of Juleka’s close friends to complete the original Kitty Section lineup. Along with famous model Adrien Agreste, who throughout the band’s entire career acted as a “guest” or “honorary” member and occasionally joined them for performances as well as official recordings. 

The first year of being together the band did nothing more than small gigs around Paris, primarily at friends’ parties and such, covering classic rock songs and simply having fun without trying to gain any type of success. It wasn’t until Anarka reached out to get the group a bit of recording time in a studio so they could distribute their covers to friends that any of them thought about maybe taking things more seriously. The EP, Kitty Covers, was released in 2014.

The process of writing their first songs started slow as they found what sound they actually wanted their band to have - rather than just copying what other groups have done before them. It was also during that first year of writing original content that the Couffaines’ father’s identity was revealed to be famous musician Jagged Stone. It wasn’t a huge blindsided surprise to either of the Couffaines, considering they knew that their mother had formally been in a band with the rockstar, but the on and off again relationship the two had shared was news to them and the rest of the world. Being a bit more involved in his kids lives once the truth came out, Jagged helped Kitty Section negotiate a record deal with one of the biggest rock labels in Europe.

And now with a label backing them the band released their first album, Wake Me Up, in 2016. On the album the band released four singles, one of them being Bring Me To Life, a song that had worldwide success and eventually won them a Grammy for best Rock Performance.

The plan had been to release two further singles from that album but before they could officially be announced the band broke up. It was a sudden and shocking end as far as the fans were aware, but the truth was it had been coming for some time. About halfway through recording the second album, Juleka and Rose had broken up, which caused tension to grow amongst all members. The two tried to make it work as long as they can, being in the band together without being together anymore, but eventually it became too much for Rose and she left. Without their lead singer, the remaining members felt it was best to simply disband rather than try to find someone to replace Rose.

Decepticon Wind Ensemble AU Expansion

Part 2 of 2. Characterizations of the Decepticons if they were in a High School Wind Symphony.

C o l l e g e. It’s great! But so time consuming lol. I had planned to get this done in August, but I had forgotten what school is like. So anyway, here’s part two!    

Trumpet

Blitzwing: In marching band, he’s the section leader who will make you do fifty pushups for every minute you show up late. In wind ensemble, he’s the quiet guy who silently judges his section for not practicing. In jazz band, he’s bat shit insane.

Ratbat:  The most arrogant member of the program. He has the confidence to back his skills, but he does not understand that dynamics other than ‘blastissimo’ exist.

Dragstrip: Started the tradition where the trumpets in the program will attempt to sacrifice a clarinet before a contest. Barricade is the primary target.

Wildrider: Hosted an after-performance party at the local McDonalds. He is now banned from the local McDonalds.

Motormaster: He once tripped on a Tuba in the stadium when he was trying to cut in line. This created a domino effect in the trumpet and trombone sections. It is said that Megatron switched from double shot to triple shot energy drinks on that day.

Brawl: Will miss his step-offs 95% of the time.

Bonecrusher: He can only play one scale. He can read music and he has the practice sheets, yet he can only play one scale. His auditions take twenty minutes.

French Horn  

Octane: Will fight you if he catches you saying that Mellophones and French Horns are the same thing. No one will save you.

Flywheels: The only pieces of music he likes to play are chorals. Sure, he says he practices other tunes, but you that he’s lying.

Ramjet: He only listens to music by The Beatles. Their CDs are on 24/7.  He can play the French Horn solo in “For No One.” He always asks Megatron if they can play their music in the stands.

Waspinator: The only reason why he chose to play French Horn was because he thought it looked cool.

Mixmaster: Does Tik Tok dances during marching rehearsal. The scary part is that he’s gotten others to join him.

Trombone

Scourge: Cried tears of happiness when DCI decided to accept trombones into the sport. This is all he practices for now.

Scorponok: His purpose in life: to add a trombone mouthpiece onto whatever instrument he can get ahold of. He then attempts to play this new instrument during rehearsal. Chaos ensues.

Rumble: Organized the trombone section to go to Sonic during rehearsal to get milkshakes. When Megatron noticed, it was too late. They were already running into the sunset.

Frenzy: His goal is to reenact every vine with a trombone. He cannot be stopped.  

Reflector: He accidently threw his slide from the stands into the football field and knocked a football player out. The entire stadium was silent for ten seconds. He is no longer allowed to attend football games.

Bass Trombone

Overlord: Feels as if it is his responsibility to say the lewdest comments during rehearsal. He does this to get Megatron’s attention, but Megatron is particularly good at ignoring him. The other remembers of low brass? Not so much…

Euphoniums

Nickel: The only one keeping the euphoniums from descending into further chaos.

Clobber: Plays Animal Crossing during rehearsal. It’s a blessing from Primus that there has not been a collision on the marching field… yet.

Vortex: Always has the tendency to be flat. He never fixes this before rehearsal even though he’s been told to do so 20 million times.

Blast Off: Always has the tendency to be sharp. He never fixes this before rehearsal even though he’s been told to do so 20 million times.

Tubas

Crankcase: All of his friends are in band so he can’t leave.

Strika: The captain of loading crew. She makes sure the percussion equipment is loaded into the truck properly, and she makes sure the freshman put their stuff in the right place. She is not responsible for anyone getting run over.  

Breakdown: He once had a marimba fall on him. That was not a good day.  

Longhaul: After every rehearsal, he’ll play the first few measures of the Veggie Tales theme song. He’ll do this for five minutes.  

Onslaught: Responsible for getting “Vehicle” taken out of the stand tune rotation. He’s on thin ice with “Hey Baby.” The band has agreed to fight him if that happens.

Piano

Kaon: He has perfect pitch. He’s an auditory learning god. If you think you’re good, listening to him play makes you lose your faith in pursuing music as a career.

Harp

Nova Storm: You’ll find her in orchestra more often than you’ll find her in band. The only reason she’s there is because she’s working on applications for music conservatory and needs the practice.

String Bass

Shadow Striker: Like Nova Storm, you’ll find her in orchestra more often than you’ll find her in band. However, she’s an honorary member of percussion, so you can find her in the back room with them.

Drum Kit

Tesarus: The only person in the program who yells more than Starscream. This is because he has lost hearing due to his tendency to forget to wear earplugs. He also has his own band. They have rehearsal in his garage.  

Percussion

Sixshot: The king of multitasking. He can play the marimba with six mallets, and he is the tenor drum in drumline. He’s currently learning how to play piano and string bass

Quake: Always has first dibs on playing the snare drum. He will sabotage any attempt to take it from him.

Helex: Always takes the Timpani. He just wants the big solo moments.

Ion Storm: Vapes in the percussion back room. Accidently caused the fire alarm to go off during rehearsal. No one followed fire drill procedures.

Dirt Boss: The first to enter the percussion back room and the last to leave. What crimes does he commit? Sorry, but you’re not allowed to know that.

Crumplezone: Wrote “Elongated Muskrat” on the white board. Then he surrounded it with the cowboy hat emoji. Is it a death threat? A cry for help? A sign of the rapture? No one knows.

Jhiaxus: You never know what he’ll be doing next. From chimes to the gong to the cymbals to the Bongo drum, you’ll never expect what choices he’ll make.

Ransack: Purposefully reenacted the “Star Spangled Banner Cymbal Fail.” He is no longer allowed to play the cymbals.

Choir

Cyclonus: You might see him in the band hall. You might see him hanging out with band kids. You may even see him at football games and concerts. Don’t be mistaken, though. He is not in band.

Philip Bailey

Philip James Bailey (born May 8, 1951) is an American R&B, soul, gospel and funk singer, songwriter and percussionist best known as an early member, and one of the two lead singers (along with group founder Maurice White) of the band Earth, Wind & Fire. Noted for his four-octave vocal range and distinctive falsetto register, Bailey has won seven Grammy Awards. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire. Bailey was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame for his work with the band.

Bailey has released several solo albums. Chinese Wall from 1984, which received a Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male, included the international hit, "Easy Lover", a duet with Phil Collins. "Easy Lover" won an MTV Video Music Award for Best Overall Performance in a Video in 1985 and was Grammy nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals.

In May 2008, Bailey was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Music from Berklee College of Music at Berklee's Commencement Ceremony where he was the commencement speaker.

Life and career

Early days

Bailey was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, United States. He attended East High School in Denver and graduated in 1969. He was also in a local R&B band called Friends & Love. Some of Bailey's early influences included jazz musicians such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Max Roach, the Motown sound, in particular the music of Stevie Wonder and he was also largely influenced by female singers such as Sarah Vaughan and Dionne Warwick.

Earth, Wind & Fire

In 1972, while attending college, Bailey was invited to join the band Earth, Wind & Fire by EWF-founder and bandleader Maurice White. Bailey was the featured lead vocalist on popular Earth, Wind & Fire songs as "Devotion", "Keep Your Head to the Sky", "Reasons", "Fantasy", "I'll Write A Song For You", "Imagination", "I've Had Enough", and "Guiding Lights". He also shared lead vocals with Maurice White on such EWF hits as "Shining Star", "Getaway", "September", "Sing A Song", "Serpentine Fire", "Saturday Night", and sang lead with both White and the girl group The Emotions on their classic disco collaboration "Boogie Wonderland".

With Maurice White's retirement and then death, Bailey became the on-stage leader of Earth, Wind & Fire, along with bassist Verdine White, vocalist/percussionist Ralph Johnson and vocalist/percussionist B. David Whitworth.

In live duet performances, Bailey will sing his falsetto part, then switch to the vocal part originally sung by White, showing off his vocal prowess and versatility.

Solo albums

In 1983, Bailey issued his debut studio album, titled Continuation, on Columbia Records. The album reached No. 19 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. An album cut titled "I Know" rose to No. 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

During 1984, Bailey released his second solo album, titled Chinese Wall, also on Columbia Records. The album reached No. 22 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 10 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album was certified Gold in the US by the RIAA. Off the album, a duet with Collins titled "Easy Lover", rose to Nos. 1 & 2 on the UK Singles and Billboard Hot 100 charts, respectively.

Bailey went on to issue his third studio album, titled Inside Out, in 1986 on Columbia. The album reached No. 30 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. A single from the album titled "State Of The Heart" reached No. 20 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

During 1994, Bailey issued his self titled fourth studio album on Zoo Entertainment. Artists including Brian McKnight, Chuckii Booker and PM Dawn guested on the LP. The album cut "Here With Me" rose to No. 33 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart.

Bailey went on to release his first jazz album, titled Dreams in 1999 on Heads Up International records. The album featured artistes such as Gerald Albright, Grover Washington, Jr. and Pat Metheny. It reached No. 43 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. During 2002 he released Soul on Jazz, his sophomore jazz album once again on Heads Up. The album rose to No. 45 upon the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.

Gospel

Bailey featured on Andraé Crouch's 1979 album I'll Be Thinking of You. He and Maurice White then collaborated with The Hawkins Family on their 1981 live album, The Hawkins Family Live.

In 1980, Bailey joined with friends, Deniece Williams, Billy Davis and Marilyn McCoo to present a gospel show at a popular Los Angeles club named The Roxy. The show was called "Jesus At the Roxy". Williams later reported that "God did something miraculous. Over three hundred people were saved." After that, both Bailey and Williams decided to pursue careers in Christian music.

During 1984, Bailey issued his first gospel album titled The Wonders of His Love on Myrrh Records. The album reached No. 13 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart and No. 17 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. The Wonders of His Love was also Grammy nominated in the category of Best Inspirational Performance.

His second gospel album Triumph was released in 1986 on Horizon Records. The LP reached No. 18 on the Top Christian Albums chart and No. 33 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. Triumph also won a Grammy for Best Gospel Performance, Male.

During 1989 he released his third gospel album titled Family Affair on Myrrh Records. The album reached No. 37 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.

Bailey later played percussion and sang on the King Baptist Church Mass Choir's 1990 album Holding on to Jesus' Hand.

Work with other artists

Bailey sang on Jazz guitarist Alphonso Johnson 1976's LP Yesterday's Dreams. He later played percussion alongside Verdine White on bass upon the track "Tahiti Hut" composed by both Maurice White and Eumir Deodato from Deodato's 1978 album Love Island. He also sang on Ronnie Laws' 1978 album Flame.

Bailey went on to produce R&B Band Kinsman Dazz's 1978 debut LP Kinsman Dazz and work as an arranger and guest artist on their sophomore 1979 album Dazz. As a band, Kinsman Dazz later became known as the Dazz Band. Bailey also collaborated as a vocalist with tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine on his 1981 album Tender Togetherness.

As well he guested on Stevie Wonder's 1985 "In Square Circle" album, Kenny Loggins' 1985 LP Vox Humana, Ray Parker Jr.'s 1987 album After Dark and Anita Pointer's 1987 LP Love for What It Is. Bailey also collaborated with Julio Iglesias on his 1988 album Non Stop, Little Richard on the soundtrack of the 1988 feature film Twins and Deniece Williams on her 1988 album As Good As It Gets.

He later featured on Nancy Wilson's 1989 LP A Lady with a Song, Dianne Reeves' 1990 album Never Too Far and George Duke and Stanley Clarke's 1990 LP 3. Bailey also guested on jazz group Fourplay's 1991 self-titled debut album, Ronnie Laws' 1992 LP Deep Soul, George Duke's 1992 LP Snapshot and Fourplay's 1993 sophomore album Between the Sheets.

Bailey then featured on Chante Moore's 1994 album A Love Supreme, Keiko Matsui's 1994 LP Doll, George Duke's 2000 album Cool, Boney James's 2006 LP Shine, Deniece Williams' 2007 album Love Niecy Style and Gerald Albright's 2008 LP Sax for Stax.

Bailey sung uncredited vocals on Travis Scott's "STOP TRYING TO BE GOD" from his 2018 album Astroworld. The song also features fellow musicians Stevie Wonder and Kid Cudi.

On screen

Bailey appeared in an episode of the TV show Matlock in the role of Pvt. Bobby Thomas. He also played a soldier in the 1987 feature film Full Metal Jacket.

On October 27, 2007, Bailey sang "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch in Game 3 of the 2007 World Series held at Coors Field, Denver, Colorado. This was the first World Series game that was ever played in his hometown of Denver. He also threw out the ceremonial first pitch on June 30, 2012 in an MLB game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Detroit Tigers held at Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida.

Personal life

Bailey is currently married to singer/ songwriter, Valerie Bailey (née Davis), who has worked with Whitney Houston and Celine Dion.Bailey is the father of seven children, one of whom is Pili Bailey, the daughter of Jeanette Hutchinson of the R&B hit group The Emotions. His son, Philip Doron Bailey, is also a member of Earth Wind & Fire.

Black Dahlia (Chapter 4)

And we’re back! I’m gonna be honest, I love that for once in my life, I can actually do regular updates. It feels freakin awesome :D Enjoy Chapter 4!

They left the security building and went into the park area, passing several rides as they went. Heather found herself stuck between Spaceman and Catman, chatting gaily with them, while Starchild accompanied Daphne. Oh, and Fred and Velma, but mostly Daphne.

“So how’s Ohio?” Spaceman asked. “Last we heard, you’ve been living there.”

“Pretty nice,” Heather shrugged. “Peaceful. Not as cool as Detroit, though.”

“Hey, no place is as cool as Detroit,” Catman declared.

Heather laughed and nodded in agreement. “Got that right.”

Catman glanced behind them and pointed his thumb at Fred. “So, you and the kid related?”

“Sort of… I’m his godmother, and his honorary aunt. I’m really good friends with his mom.”

Spaceman nodded in enlightenment. “Ah, okay. It’s, uh, good you found people to stay with.”

Heather could tell an awkward silence would fall over the three of them, so she scrambled for something to say. “Yeah. And guess what? Judy—Fred’s mom—has pretty good music tastes.”

Catman and Spaceman perked up. “She like rock and roll?” Catman asked.

Heather nodded, remembering the times she and Judy would play rock music and dance around Judy’s living room. “Oh yeah, she loves it. Fred, though...” She glanced over her shoulder and leaned in close. “His favorite band is the Ascot Five.”

Spaceman winced. “Oooo, really?”

“Wait, isn’t the Ascot Five that lame do-wop group from the sixties?” Catman questioned.

Heather gestured her hand at him and nodded. “That’s exactly what I said!” 

They went to a couple of the places the Crimson Witch had been seen at. And no matter the place, there was destruction everywhere; tables and chairs toppled over, stands and displays torn apart, and scorch marks everywhere.

“Boy,” Daphne remarked as they looked around one particularly-ruined location. “This place really got worked.”

“She’s never been in the same place twice,” Starchild said. “You were right, Frank, she is looking for something.”

Fred glared at him. “It’s Fred,”

“The question is,” Velma mused aloud, “what is this rock the witch is looking for?”

Heather glanced over at Starchild, Spaceman, and Catman, who were doing a fantastic job of not replying in a way that didn’t make them suspicious. She knew they knew what she was looking for, and so did she. The Crimson Witch, as much as she liked to think herself unpredictable, was always predictable around Halloween.

Stomping boots made them all look up to see Demon striding over, looking grouchy as usual.

Starchild glanced at him, then went back to looking around. “Thought you were going to feed the beast, Demon.”

“The beast’s been fed,” Demon replied shortly. He turned and glared at Fred, Velma, and Daphne. “No thanks to that dog and that hippie.”

After sufficiently looking around, they moved on through the park.

“I have to say,” Daphne said, turning her head around, “this is some amusement park,”

“Thanks,” Starchild smiled proudly. “We each took a section and designed it ourselves.”

Demon took that as a cue and pointed up at a ride. It had a large bust of his head spitting out fire. “There’s my Brimstone Barbecue, the hottest ride in the park,”

Heather saw a car with people inside speeding towards the fire, but at the last second the fire extinguished, allowing the car to go through before reigniting. She thought she heard screaming that sounded like Shaggy and Scooby, but shrugged it off as they continued on.

Spaceman nudged Heather and pointed at a sleeker-looking ride with designs like crackling electricity. “And my Electric Alley,” he said proudly.

Heather raised an eyebrow. “Shocking,” she cracked, and laughed. Three of the four guys shook their heads at her, while Demon joined Daphne and Velma in rolling their eyes, and Fred facepalmed.

As they continued on, they passed a ride that looked like a wacked-out carousel that was suspended in the air and, instead of having horses, had leaping cats.

“Don’t forget my Whirling Wildcats!” Catman proclaimed.

Finally, they reached an intersection in the park, in the center of which was the Ferris Wheel. Starchild swept his hand grandly toward it. “And my Dynasty Star Ferris Wheel! Whoo!”

As they passed it, Heather went over to Starchild and nudged him, smirking. “I guess the best hiding places really are in plain sight.”

Starchild blinked at her. “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he said innocently, even as a small smile crept onto his face.

Heather smirked wider and elaborated. “If that’s just a Ferris Wheel, I’m Queen Mary.”

“Again, I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He winked at her.

Velma pointed at another ride. This one was modeled after a mountain with tracks going in and out. It looked to be shut down, with “CAUTION” tape surrounding the entrance. “What’s that ride?”

Demon answered proudly. “That’s our most wicked ride of all: The Destroyer!”

Heather, who had been admiring the ride, frowned at the name and glared at Starchild. Seriously? she thought. Starchild shrugged sheepishly.

“But it’s closed to the public,” Catman said, gesturing to the “CAUTION” tape.

“The Crimson Witch scared a couple of repairmen on it earlier tonight,” Spaceman added.

“Looks pretty terrifying,” Daphne mused, looking apprehensively at the ride.

Starchild gave her a flirtatious look. “Not if you were with me, darlin’,” he said smoothly, winking at her. Daphne turned pink.

Fred, who had seen, glared annoyedly at Starchild as he and the band walked towards the main stage. “Oh, brother,” he groused.

Velma glanced at him sympathetically. “Oh, Fred,”

Fred sighed. “I’m sorry, Velma, but I can’t compete with Starchild!”

Heather patted her nephew’s shoulder. “You don’t need to, sweetie,” she reassured. “Starchild may be a flirt, but he’s pretty harmless.”

“Just remember,” Velma added, “underneath all that makeup, he’s just a regular guy who puts his pants on like everyone else.”

Heather grimaced; that was a bad choice of words. “Well…”

At that moment, Starchild spoke for her. “KISS Costume Change, activate!”

Heather frowned. That was not what she meant.

Nevertheless, KISS leapt onstage and began to glow different colors: Starchild purple, Demon red, Spaceman blue, and Catman green. There was about a minute where they waved their bodies around like lunatics, and Heather thought she heard “Love Gun” playing from somewhere. Then the colors faded, and KISS was wearing different costumes, specifically their Destroyer-era ones.

Heather raised an eyebrow. Well, that was random. Cool, but random.

Daphne just stared in amazement, while Fred now looked very annoyed. “Oh, come on!” he groaned.

“Relax, Fred,” Velma said to him as a young woman walked onstage. “I think this was all pre-planned,”

The young woman, overhearing them, spoke up. “You’re right. It was a rehearsal for tonight’s show.” She gave the band a thumbs-up. “Good test run, fellas!”

Demon said something quietly to Starchild, who murmured back and turned to the four. “Hey guys, we’re gonna take a break.” He looked to Heather. “Wanna join us?”

Heather glanced over at Fred, who was looking interestedly at the young woman. “And let my nephew have a chance at love without me teasing him? No thank you.”

Starchild looked like he wanted to laugh, but shrugged anyway. “Suit yourself,”

As the band walked offstage, the young woman bounded down the steps and held out her hand to Velma. “Hi, I’m Shandi Strutter, KISS’s head techie.”

Heather looked down at her short skirt and sandals. That is definitely not what a head techie should be wearing.

Velma shook her hand. “Hi, I’m Velma, and this is Fred, Daphne, and Heather.”

Shandi waved at them, though it looked more like a salute. “Nice to meet you!”

“So you’re the one responsible for all the band’s stage effects, huh?” Velma asked.

“Most of them, yeah,” Shandi nodded. “The guys really like to put on a show.”

Heather couldn’t help but grin at how she said “most of them.” Because the rest, they all do themselves.

“You don’t have to tell me!” Daphne exclaimed excitedly.

Fred crossed his arms. “Daphne’s a fan,” he said in annoyance. Though it sounded rather jealous to Heather.

Daphne looked insulted. “Um, KISS doesn’t have fans, Freddy. They’re called the KISS Army!”

Heather nudged Fred, smiling. “Yeah, Freddy, get your facts right,”

Fred rolled his eyes. “I prefer the Ascot Five myself,” he said to Shandi.

“Do they have an army?” she asked interestedly.

Fred looked way too proud of what he said next. “It’s more of an all-volunteer international organization of enthusiastic youths.”

Now Heather rolled her eyes, coincidentally the same way Fred did.

Shandi still seemed interested. That, or she was pretending to be. “Cool,”

“As in lame!” Daphne said. “The KISS Army’s better.”

“You’re darn right it is!” Heather agreed, grinning at Daphne and high-fiving her.

Fred sighed and said to Shandi, “My aunt’s a fan, too,”

Shandi laughed. “I can see that.”

“Well,” Velma said to Shandi, “it was nice meeting you, but we’d better get back to looking around. C’mon, guys,”

They left the stage area, waving goodbye to Shandi, and went in the other direction than the one they came from. The four were about to begin searching again when they heard screaming and the screeching of metal against metal.

“What’s all that noise?” Velma asked aloud.

Heather cocked her head and listened to the screams. Then her eyes widened. “That’s Shaggy and Scooby! Come on!”

She took off running towards the screams, with the kids running behind her.

“How can she run so fast?” Daphne asked Fred. He shrugged.

The screaming and metal scraping was coming from a ride that was sort of like a merry-go-round fused with the teacups from Disney World, except instead of teacups they were spinning drums. Heather got there first, and so saw just a glimpse of purple, red, blue, and green forms flying out of sight.

That was before a horrible smell invaded her nose, that made her let out a noise of disgust. Then fear rose in her. She knew that smell.

Heather looked to Shaggy and Scooby, who were stumbling around and looked incredibly dizzy. But they didn’t seem hurt; Heather sent a silent thank-you to wherever the guys had flown off to.

Fred, Daphne, and Velma caught up with her. “We heard the commotion!” Fred said.

“Are you guys okay?” Daphne asked worriedly.

“Hey man, heh heh…” Shaggy said woozily. “… did anyone catch the license plate number on that witch?”

Then he and Scooby fell to the ground and passed out.
