We're all at different stages in our journey, learning different things.
May you have clarity, peace and well being,
may you be free from suffering.
May you have joy, may you have love,
May you remember to ask from above.
I am not religious, I never have been. But whenever I ask my highest self, I always receive 🩷

Visualisations with "inner guides"
Over twenty years ago, I learned something in psychotherapy: visualisations with »inner guides«.
The idea is quite simple: You invent some kind of helpful person or animal or another entity whom you can trust and then you visualise having conversations with them. This inner guide may have a different perspective on your problems and help you solve them - or at least find a state of mind with which you can better deal with them. If you cannot visualize, because of aphantasia or something else, you could also try to hear the conversation you have with your inner guide instead of visualizing them.
You could say, that you tap into your inner wisdom while talking with such a guide, or into the Collective Unconscious. And this can be easier with a visualisation or a similar method, than in your every-day state of mind.
I am a spiritual person and these days, I differenciate between spirit guides and inner guides: The inner guides are made-up, a product of my imagination. The spirit guides are real entities (at least in my personal experience or my unverified personal gnosis).
The therapist who told me about this mentioned that some religious folks use angels as such inner guides, so the line between imaginary guides and spirit(ual) guides gets blurry there.
In 2019, I chose a fictional character whom I really like, as an inner guide and I am glad I did, because this has helped me a lot.
My hyperfixation on Good Omens has given me the idea to use Aziraphale and Crowley as inner guides, too.
I think it might be really interesting to have two such polar opposites and see their different viewpoints on things. There is this well-known image of a tiny angel on one shoulder, whispering in your ear and the devil (or a demon) is also there, whispering in your other ear and both try to persuade you to do some things (or not do them).
So I tried a respective visualisation last night. In it, we met in the book shop, Aziraphale was very welcoming and offered me a cup of tea, as he would. Crowley on the other hand was sarcastic and thought-provoking – as he would be. This visualisation was helpful to me, so I am looking forward to more such conversations with them.

We Can Receive Guidance and Insight In the Silence of Meditation -- Spiritual Awakening Radio Podcast
Tumblr media
Through silence meditation we can "step outside the box." Silence speaks volumes. The practice of receiving inner guidance or hearing the Voice or Life Impulse of God in the silence of contemplation is a universal teaching of all great saints and mystics. "Learn to sit still and be mentally still, and the silence thus generated with be more vocal than words spoken and written; and you will have an instantaneous solution not only to your own personal problems but to the problems of others as well." (Sant Kirpal Singh) "To be pure and still means to be open to purity and stillness -- as a result you can intuit the truth." (The Jesus Sutras) "If somehow this mind can become quiet by itself, attainment of true knowledge -- like diamond will become easily possible [everyone in this world is sad and restless because of lack of true knowledge. This true knowledge can be attained only when the mind becomes quiet]." (Kabir)

Wisdom and Kindness - A Spiritual Story
This newsletter has the possibility of holding the energy of relaying that greatest of greats - wisdom and kindness.
The difference between the personality, character, and ego traits and wisdom become more obvious as we hopefully learn with the aging process ( that’s not everybody of course.)
Wisdom can be defined in spiritual terms in this way, “wisdom doesn’t need to speak. Instead it sits back, listening with the heart fully engaged, while the personality speaks out loud.”
Kindness is one of the loveliest traits of mankind when we exercise it, and all too often we haven’t been particularly famous for being kind at all, not now or throughout our history. Let’s hope there’s massive room for improvement in this area.
Bringing the two energies of both wisdom and kindness together, is a wonderful combination, and one we all deserve to not only meet in our lives, but also to experience first hand.
I am living every day with a man so kind and loving, it sometimes takes my breath away. He is way more patient than me, and even on the roads in the state of Florida (which currently has the absolute worst drivers I’ve seen so far), he has a tolerance that I don’t possess. It’s one of the things I’m working on. The urge to sit with my head out of the window, using very bad language, is one I have to stop myself from doing all the time. Enlightened? I think not!
He has shown patience to grown and growing, quite selfish and uncaring people in his life, while he continues to love them and leave doors open for their behaviors and attitudes to change. While I am a door closed, locked, bolted and I’m in another realm, far enough away to forget any of that even existed.
I am learning so much from him, and it’s really cute, because he thinks he’s growing and learning from me (perhaps we won’t tell him just yet.)
I personally had a very different childhood than any of my siblings. They didn’t care for my mother, and I adored her. They didn’t bother to get to know her, and I couldn’t soak up enough details of who she was, what mattered to her and how she grew up in war torn England. I found her fascinating, lovely, wise, kind and one of the best people I had the great pleasure to meet. I certainly preferred her to anyone I lived with, and she was a woman close to my heart and soul. I don’t know or understand anyone who had the opportunity to meet her, to not appreciate the gentleness of her soul. I knew that about her, and felt better about me for being able to see the wisdom and kindness in her.
I seek that in everyone now (not as much the Floridian drivers yet, but I’m working on it!)

Why did Goethe go to Italy?
So, why was Goethe so eager to go to Italy? Why did he have to go right then? Goethe's longing for the south during the dull summer of 1786 finally spurred him into action. In his travel diary "Italian Journey" (published later under this title), Goethe repeatedly emphasized how much he needed the blue skies and warm air of September that year. More than anything, he suffered from a creative paralysis due to his public duties as a Privy Counselor at the Weimar Court. Today, we would say Goethe was struggling with a writer's block.
Even a great writer like Goethe experienced creative paralysis and extreme slumps. At such times, one must seek out 'blue skies and warm air.' When you're constantly pushed from within for an unknown reason, when your soul sends you the message to 'leave,' you must follow that inner guidance, even if reality is tough. Like prophets or artists often do, you must leave, even if you don't fully understand why.

Doubt: Its Role and Impact
Doubt is a feeling that I’ve seldom encountered in my life. However, on the rare occasions that it does appear, it feels unsettling and out of place. These moments of doubt have arisen from seemingly trivial situations, such as deciding which drink to choose or panicking about my luggage at the airport. For me, doubt signifies a loss of control, almost an illness, rather than a simple hesitation.…
