He wouldn’t be concerned at all about this , impressing any future in-laws. Seeing that he was already magnanimous enough to grant those stupid fools power, if should be seen as very gracious that he deemed one of their number as being alright. All his yandere tendencies would be severely downplayed in the public and the political sphere at first to create the illusion of a fluffy romance. Those public appearances and private conversations with the in-laws would all be tailored to create the perfect and most comforting image. 

This would be that when the rumours of the going-ons behind the scene would reach the in-laws, disbelief would be the first reaction. How could a man as peace-loving and passive and diplomatic as the personification doing something as horrible as to blackmail and threaten and abuse their love interest. Here the disbelief would be a coping mechanism because if it were true, what would the politician father even be able to do? Modern politicians are more versed in palace intrigue than actually managing a country, so incompetent that when they are removed nothing changes because nothing they do really matters. The father would be no Metternich or Machiavelli or Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and so there would be no need to impress, only intimidate that weak fool at most. 

Perhaps they would test the parent’s integrity and offer to buy you for a high price. If the man would take the bait, then your yandere would be sure to inform you of it at length; and then throw the man’s error back in his face. Maybe he’d die due to poisoning, or have his career ruined due to corruption charges. If not, then he would still be deemed as a weak fool, but a weak fool with integrity. There would certainly be more respect, for a while. Nevertheless, the nation would hold all the cards, and the boss close to none. Obsession and self-esteem issues would create a very dangerous mix here. Perhaps he would try to impress at the beginning with attentiveness and romantic gestures and with their more toxic traits disguised as awkwardness. There would be tense family dinners, and skewed conversations in the parliaments and attempts at heroics in order to impress. Should that not work, then three options would come to mind. 

One of them would to just wait for the current government to fall out of favour with the population and for the successors to trample all over the legacy and achievements of their predecessors. Then he could treat you as if your father never was of any importance. The second option would be to throw you over the shoulder like a sack of potatoes and elope with you. It’s not like they can really arrest him and they don’t care for him anyway. Any negative option towards him would be chalked up as daddy’s poisonous influence. Overview:

Gewitter is built on the Atlas chassis, though a great deal of modification has made it truly one-of-a-kind. The original platform upon which the venerable ‘Mech was built was the Atlas AS7-K3, notable for its inclusion of jump jets. They remained a hallmark of Gewitter, carrying through to the final model, introduced on the battlefields of Helios in October 3153, much to the horror of the Word of Blake forces at the Battle of Fort Bayeux. Gewitter is, at first glance, a fairly standard Atlas mech, originally of Defiance Industries manufacture. However, after two major refits, very little remains of the original K3 as it entered service in 3134. The first refit was conducted by the MechTechs of Skobel Mechworks at their Yakima Proving Grounds on Terra. There, for a time, Gewitter sat opposite Test Unit Sierra Five - the original Mackie and the first ever BattleMech - while the Atlas was fully rebuilt. The refit focused on integrating mixed Inner Sphere and Clan technology along with additional command gear, armor, and sensors; steps were also taken to shave weight from the original design. This further enhanced its pilot’s dynamic, fluid style with greater maneuverability. An extra additional step added late in the refit process, as ordered by Commanding General Melissa Hazen herself, saw Gewitter's right hand fitted with a half-ton, 24-karat engagement ring, complete with the largest natural diamond ever cut in human history - the inside band of which was etched in micro font with the entire Jade Falcon Remembrance. This ring remained upon Gewitter's right arm, even after the wedding of Hazen and Marten-Steiner in the aftermath of Operation TOUCHDOWN. The second refit, performed on the battlefields of Helios by Star Captain (later Khan) Xerxes Truscott of Clan Star Adder, focused primarily on the integration of two newly designed, powerful, and devastating weapons: the Clan-spec Light Gauss Rifle and the Pile Bunker.

As the personally owned 'Mech of Lieutenant General Marten-Steiner, Gewitter deployed alongside Theodora during her entire career - first with the LCAF, and then with the Third Star League's SLDF.

History:

Gewitter was the custom command 'Mech of Lieutenant General Theodora Marten-Steiner, notable for her role in the early formation of the Third Star League SLDF, Operation TOUCHDOWN, Operation WINDFALL, and the later Lyran War of Reclamation. Famous in her eventual role as commander of the hyper-elite Royal Guards RCT, the Lieutenant General also served as the second commanding officer of the Royal Black Watch regiment, after its second re-founding in 3151.

Aleena and Jules - The Story of Sonic's parents

Two years after Aleena and Jules were crowned and married, and one year after the birth of their triplets, Dr. Robotnik arrives in the kingdom. He presents a curious sight for the people, since they've never seen anyone who looks like him before. (Humans have not arrived and populated the area yet.)

Robotnik introduces himself to the king and queen as a wandering inventor, a scientist, who'd love to offer his work to their people.

Aleena and Jules allow him to stay in the kingdom, and Jules sends his older brother Charles to observe the strange doctor, and take a closer look at his work, and his intentions. [Chuck and Bernie character design]

Charles, an inventor and academic himself, is extremely thrilled by the things Robotnik has to offer and all the advantages this kind of technology can bring. He manages to convince Jules of the good the doctor can do for the kingdom, but Aleena stays suspicious. Robotnik acts strange, he obviously isn't from around, but whenever they ask any details about where he comes from and why he left his home, he evades them.

Within a few months Robotnik integrates himself into the society and gathers star-struck followers around his person. He introduces electricity, communication devices and means of transportation. (The mobians of the kingdom aren't very technologically advanced, and mostly use magic for these things, but not everyone can use magic, so the machines fascinate them. Charles develops a liking for planes in particular, and builds himself a little biplane.) Robotnik also introduces his worker robots, mechanical help for any kind of heavy labor. Aleena and Jules give permission to test some of them in the field, and the sight of these worker drones in the city becomes a not so unusual one, escpecially working for the rich and nobles.

Charles also supports Robotnik with his newest invention, a machine that can put in mechanical prosthesises. Charles, who himself has lost his left arm in a terrible accident as a teenager, sees the incredible advantages for medicine, but many think it to be unnatural. By now, the mood of the people starts to cool against the doctor, because Robotnik often disregards the culture and love of nature of the people.

Then, after a couple of months, the putsch happens.

Without warning, the robots attack. Robotnik had somehow raised a whole armee of them, and after months of preparations, they join the robots that were strategically placed in the city, and overrun the capital. The royal palace falls within a day.

Charles reaches his brother just before the attack to warn him. The family tries to flee, but Robotnik catches up to them. He needs to get his hands on the queen, because he knows the assumption of power will go over easier if he controls the monarchy.

Jules faces him with nothing but his sword.

It breaks Aleena's heart, but the children's safety comes first. The nurse pulls her away, and with the babies they flee. Jules keeps Robotnik long enough for them to escape.

Aleena never sees him again. Jules doesn't let himself get captured.

Shortly after, Charles joins them again, after he had prepared an escape. He almost goes back for his little brother, can't leave him behind, but they know Jules would have wanted them to get the triplets to safety. They escape the palace and hide on the edge of the city.

With the capital's ressources it's easy for Robotnik to expand his sphere of influence further and further. The outer baronies bow quickly to avoid a fight. But Jules' family is wiped out anyway, their home burned down, to get ahead of a retaliation for the king's death. Charles has to go underground as new head of his family, and his sister Bernadette marries into another noble family and hides her connection to Jules. She stays in higher circles as Aleena's contact. Neither Jules' parents nor Aleena's mother survive the putsch.

Robotnik's reign of terror begins. The aristocrats are allowed to keep their privileges for high tribunal payment, which Robotnik uses to fund his reign. The simple people are enslaved. Soon, everywhere in the city robot factories start springing from the ground. Robotnik reforms everything, destroys the nature, magic and music are forbidden on death.

Then, Robotnik starts roboticizing. The machine that Charles had admired so much and helped build is now used to make people into mindcontrolled cyborgs, to exchange complete limbs with mechanical ones and put them under Robotnik's control. More and more fall victim to this fate, because Robotnik trusts no one, especially not those who crawl to him.

A few weeks later the Oracle of Delphius appears in Aleena's hideout.

He reveals to her that her children are in danger, and she has to separate from them, or Robotnik will find them soon. With great grief after everything she's already lost, Aleena takes the babies to three different families where they grow up safe and in ignorance of their true parentage.

Prince Maurice II., by his father affectionately named Sonic, is left with a couple of simple workers. The wife is the royal triplets' former nurse whom Aleena trusts deeply, and of course she immediately recognizes the baby that's been left on her doorstep to be her former charge. They call the boy Sonic instead of his grandfather's name for cover. Charles visits his nephew from time to time while building up the underground rebellion.

Princess Sonia is left in the care of the rich widow Lady Windemere, and is the only of the three growing up in wealth. Her aunt Bernadette keeps an eye on her while mingling with he nobles to gather information for the resistance.

Prince Manic never arrived at the home he was supposed to go to. A group of thieves napped him from the doorstep, and he grows up between them as protegé of their leader Farrell. Aleena is worried that she has lost sight of her son, but the Oracle tells her everything will come as it has to.

Aleena vanishes underground, working towards the day they can overthrow Robotnik, and she can be reunited with her family and take back her throne.

Ship of the Day: Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr

Ship Info:

Before getting too far into it, what you must know is that Cherik is not mainly shipped as a fully happy together ship, these two have gone through a divorce and are only just coming back together after a whole bunch of stuff. Either that or fans are being delusional and  ignoring the canon “Beach Divorce” (will be explained later, don’t worry).

The X-Men franchise is an institution in the comics world, a product of some of the best minds at Marvel in the 60s. Homo Sapien Superior are the next stage of human development, dubbed mutants, these people are born with superhuman powers, from telekinesis to intangibility, super speed to power absorption. Standing as metaphors and representations for oppression, the othering of the non-majority, racism, genocide, government control and the fight for equality, the X-Men have stood the test of time and come out of it as a present-forward moving media.

And at the centre of this media is two figures, Charles Xavier, powerful telepath and creator and head of the X-Men and Erik Lensherr, metallokinetic and leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (if going by comics). Two leaders on what would traditionally be thought of as opposing sides, but in the case of the X-Men sphere, they instead play as two sides of the same coin against the true enemy.

The Government.

(Yeah, the writers weren’t playing about with subtlety, were they?)

(And people complain that modern comics are too liberal. This shit has always been here, complainers have just been blind to it. Somehow. I really don’t know how. It is a very much integral part of understanding the world the X-Men live in.)

Charles and Erik meet when they are both in their 20s, Charles recently graduated from Oxford with his doctorate in Genetics and Erik continuing his path of Nazi hunting while searching for the man that killed his mother when they were taken to Auschwitz when Erik was a child. They meet, stuff happens and almost the entirety of X-Men: First Class is just a getting to know you, whirlwind romance summer with a couple of breaks between the flirting and longing stares to further the plot which includes working with the CIA, building a team and, at the culmination of the film, being at the centre of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ah yes, because we needed more of a reminder that we’re in the mid 60s, it’s not like the USSR being a big deal, or the middle-aged Nazi officers or the young looking Holocaust survivors didn’t do a good job of illustrating this point. 

Thus we reach the height of the movie, the missiles are on their way to Cuba and are currently being held in the air by Erik. Erik views the shooting of these missiles as a betrayal as they have been working with those who just sent the missiles for the duration of the movie and wants retaliation so spins the rockets around and sends them back in the direction of the US and Soviet fleets. Charles is also feeling pretty betrayed but does not believe that the men on the ships should die for it. And in a moment of what is probably one of the stupidest moments of Charles Francis Xavier’s life, he tells a child survivor of the Holocaust that the soldiers who have just fired upon them with the intention to kill them are “simply following orders”.

Yikes, Charles.

They have a grapple across the floor, Erik loses concentration, he wins the fight, regains control of the missiles, continues them on their course for the ships before getting interrupted by one of the X-Men team shooting his metal helmet to break his concentration. He deflects the bullets, cause, ya know, metallokinetic. It just so happens that he deflects one of these bullets into Charles’ back. More specifically his spine. Instantly paralysing him. 

There’s a whole moment of Erik cradling Charles' body and apologising. A bunch of other things happen that ends with Erik leaving Charles on that beach with no way to go home and only a couple allies. 

Thus, the beach divorce. 

It is here that Charles and Erik’s stories can go two ways, because the X-Men movies have fully canon time travel that they used to end the old early 2000’s timeline and restart, allowing them to make more money. In both of these, Erik is arrested for the murder of JFK, in the original timeline he stays there until the mid-2000s and is often visited by Charles. On these visits they play chess and have civil conversations. As elder men, they greatly respect one another and in fact, Erik even comes to Charles’ defence against one of his own brotherhood members when they disparage Charles. Both see that the other is working towards the same goal, they simply have differing opinions on how mutants should get to the equality they are fighting for. Charles believes it can be fostered through education, defanging misinformation and working alongside the human governments. Erik believes that it is too systemic and instead mutants must take their place in the world and not fear or be afraid of humans. By the end of their timeline, they are back to being by each other's sides, any differences are put to the side due to the nature of their existence dwindling. Instead they work together and stay by each other, giving each other comfort in the others continued existence. 

In the alternate timeline, Erik is broken out of prison in the mid 70s by the combined effort of a time travelling Wolverine, Charles, Charles and Erik’s past teammate and Charles’ caretaker Hank and a very young Quicksilver, who is not yet aware that Erik is his father. Though to be fair, no one on that mission knows that. In these films, Erik attempts to build a life, getting a quickly fridge-ed wife and daughter and goes on to build the mutant nation safe haven island Genosha. Charles goes on to found his school for mutants, as he did in the original timeline. This timeline ends with Erik and Charles meeting at a cafe in Paris (romantic, huh) and sitting down to play some chess (yes, chess is almost definitely a flirting metaphor, the amount they do it).  

Type of ship: Queer Read

Despite the fact that all 4 actors who have portrayed Erik and Charles in these movies have shipped them, at the end of the day there was never an intentional move done by any of the creatives to intentionally mislead fans to the idea that a romantic relationship may develop between the two. 

Both characters have had female partners throughout the duration of the movies and yet, neither of them last. Erik’s wife dies simply to further the plot within 10 minutes of introducing her on screen and Charles has a kind of girlfriend who he ends up wiping the memory of and leaving alone. By the end of the timeline, they don’t have any partners and are instead with each other. 

Erik and Charles are so compelling as characters, both separately and in combination and one of the reasons for that is how they act as foils for one another. Differing values, same mission, the utmost respect for each other. They are lovers ripped from each other by tragedy, both in terms of the divorce and in terms of being on opposite sides. But they are not just on opposite sides, instead they lead them and that is one of the most tragic parts of their existence. They love each other, but not more than the fight they lead, the ideas they believe. 

At the end, in 1983, when they both finish their missions, passing them on to the next generation, they come together in the romance capital of the world and play chess together. They come back together after so long apart and simply begin to exist in each other's presence in a way they haven’t done since the 60s.

Shoel (The Pit)

When the practitioner undergoes a Kundalini awakening the result is the lightning flash of creation and an enforced descent into Shoel (the pit). The electromagnetism expels from the brain and the heart as a result of the opening of the pineal gland and the heart center. The base of the skull transforms and in turn the Kundalini current is freed from the body and allowed to ascend upwards as a result of the changes made to Golgotha. When in Shoel the heat of Shin brings forward Kundalini fire and burns within the central nervous system. When falling into Shoel the left hip realigns as an etheric or astral spiral comes down around the body and exits the root chakra. The body literally becomes depressurized as a result of the anti matter created by the superfluidity of the hearts electromagnetism. The pit is a hollow pressure-less state of being resembling that of a decarbonated soda with the can opened or the top removed. The pit tests the initiate with trials and tribulations that test his or her mind and body with this walk along the razor's edge. The pit forces the root chakra to collapse making the insides of the practitioner fall and prolapse outwards. Once in Shoel the magician is met with this fight between survival and surrender. The pit is a void that's oxygen-less and comes with an immense amount of cranial pressure as the vessel's internal pressure is dissolved. The Kundalini will either fly upwards out of the crown or downwards off the tailbone and into the earth. When the Kundalini current flies off of the tailbone it becomes known as Satan's Tail. The pit when fully depressurized releases a seven headed dragon or serpent out of the Sacrum and the Coccyx. The seven headed serpent begins it's ascent upwards and out of the pit. The Sacrum and the Coccyx are known as the holy bone or the resurrection bone which is where the seven headed serpent is activated. The pit is only accessible due to the temporal paradox that is created through the Kundalini. Kundalini kills the vessel as a means to allow the vessel to remain alive (temporal paradox). In the pit the practitioner will hear, see, smell, and connect to unfathomable consciousness and entities seemingly within and without of themselves that instruct the magician to rise out of the pit and begin the integration of the spirit back into the flesh. This brush with death in the near death experience brings about ego death and a renewal in the magicians ability to perceive. This resurrection of the mind and body as a result give the practitioner a newly found respect for their existence and a sense of condition-less love because of the way the light from ineffable spheres on the tree of life can now freely flow from above to below and this is the rebirth of the self and the reason why the expansion of consciousness happens. When in Shoel the magician is made to be fully aware of the opened chakras in their body and above it. When the magician ascends out of the pit he will experience a diminished ability to perceive his environmental stimuli and internal vortices of energy. Rising out of the pit causes the merging of spirit and matter. The traversal of the soul into the body is achieved by sexual energy and libido. When in Shoel the sexual organs are lacking a current of electricity therefore the process of obtaining arousal is nearly impossible. In order to leave Shoel one must know their selves enough to figure out a methodology to achieve arousal and to cause alchemical processes to be jumpstarted once again. The descent into Shoel is synonymous with the hanged man tarot card. The lightning flash of creation is synonymous with the tower tarot card. Without the tower the magician would never successfully experience the hanged man. The hanged man is the teetering between life and death granting insight and knowledge from the world. The experience of Shoel and the hanged man deposits the insight and knowledge inside the awareness of the magician.

Butler’s notion of performativity echoes a range of social psychological approaches to gender and gender difference. We are not the first to point out the relevance of Butler’s work to social psychology. Bem (1995) drawing on Butler’s work, argued in that as gender researchers we should create gender trouble by making genders that fall outside of the binary visible, in order to disrupt binary, heteronormative views of gender within and outside of psychology. Minton (1997)

To be clear, Butler does not argue that biological processes do not exist or do not affect differences in hormones or anatomy. Rather, she argues that bodies do not exist outside of cultural interpretation and that this interpretation results in over-simplified, binary views of sex. In other words, biological processes do not themselves result in two “natural,” distinct, and meaningful, categories of people. The two sexes only appear natural, obvious, and important to us because of the gendered world in which we live. More specifically, the repeated performance of two polar, opposite genders makes the existence of two natural, inherent, pre-discursive sexes seem plausible. In other words, Butler views gender as a performance in which we repeatedly engage and which creates the illusion of binary sex. She argues:

“Because there is neither an ‘essence’ that gender expresses or externalizes nor an objective ideal to which gender aspires; because gender is not a fact, the various acts of gender create the idea of gender, and without those acts, there would be no gender at all. Gender is, thus, a construction that regularly conceals its genesis. The second critical theory of gender is queer performative. This theory revolves around any gender action that varies from heterosexual behavior. Any gay, lesbian, transsexual, bisexual, transgender, etcetera person is in the gender queer group. The word queer refers to straying from the normalcy of heterosexuality to any abnormal sexual or gender preference (Wood). Researchers of the queer performative theory realized that because gender changes in all people and people do gender, categorizing gender as a verb makes more sense.

The interchangeability of gender traits in stereotypical straight and queer people is easy and often done. The gender identity of a person is fluid and not a rigid structure (Wood). Gender identity change is common now in most every group of people.

Respect and knowledge of all types of gender queer people is a major goal in this theory (Wood). If all races, groups, and sexes are to be respected then shouldn’t all other traits? Queer performative theory has two main points to convey. The first point is how gender should not bind a person’s attributes and characteristics. Physical traits can always change. People dye their hair other colors, get braces, lose weight, and go bald. Queer performative aims to prove that gender just like those physical characteristics can be changed. The term ��man” interchanges from an eighteen year old, to a WWII veteran, then to a bedazzled drag queen. Consequently, the term woman interchanges between a young bride, to Cat Zingano, to Marilyn Monroe. The sex of a person is only one part of a whole human being (Wood). People cannot look to the sex of another person for the gender stereotype they wish to impose upon them. Even biological sex characteristics get murky at times. Back in 1629, a court was troubled with the case of manservant T. Hall (Meadow). Hall was both womanly and manly to the people around. The people physically checked Thomas/Thomasine and when they could not prove or find a sex, court order Hall to wear both women’s and men’s clothing at all times (Meadow). Nearly four hundred years ago this case was given and stories nowadays hardly have changed. The second main idea of queer performative is how our gender is in a constant state of flux (Wood). We could never live completely without changing out gender outlook. Identities are performed when dads watch baseball meanwhile bottle-feeding their newborn child. Gender identities are expressed when second grade girls do not cry when they are teased but retaliate with force. Some girls love to be girls; others just like to be themselves without any boundaries at all. I grew up in dresses. I actually had to learn how to crawl on my hands and feet because my knees would become caught in the skirts. When I grew and was in grade school, I still wore dresses very often. However, I would fight, kick, and hit any boy or girl who said any harm to my friends or me. Cabtube is highly more romantically charged than Fantube and I'm not apologizing for it. They're soft, they're each other's anchors, they are sickeningly sappy with each other, if they were in highschool they'd be that couple that takes up the hallway space kissing and not being aware of anyone else's space, they both struggle to reach out for help but they wouldn't hesitate to provide said help and comfort! Cabby is the textbook u-haul lesbian she fell first and fell hard and suddenly in the blink of an eye she's got her whole life packed up ready to integrate herself into this crazy family/co-parent dynamic Fantube has with the entirety of Polylights– Test Tube will never not be giddy about Cabby, it has only exactly three true loves and they are Cabby (romantic), Fan (qpr, married), and it's lab (transcends all known laws of love /j). If they were still in the game after getting together, they would be each other's strongest downfall purely because the competition is built to turn those you love against you for entertainment. They would have the largest crash and burn of the entire show and somehow they'd still find their way back to each other because they love each other that much.

ABSOLUTELY! I do want to stress one thing if HTML/CSS is something you're not familiar with: It's okay if your website doesn't look like the most creative, eye-popping thing in the world! I've seen sooooooo many people get so discouraged because their beginner websites don't look like the flashier websites you see on Neocities' front page (by people who've been coding for a Long Time, mind you!) and like!!! That's fine!!! The code of my own site was quite possibly the worst thing you've ever seen thrown together into one big CSS soup before I Literally Just Rewrote It Today, After A Year Of Having A Neocities. And so, with that being said:

As anyone on the internet might do, w3schools is the absolute first place I'd recommend to beginners! There are videos, it's mostly a text-based learning site with lots of exercises to test your knowledge. If you'd prefer videos:

My personal favorite guy on Youtube to learn coding things from is Giraffe Academy: Here's his full course on HTML! The video itself is about two hours—I skimmed through it and everything seems to be perfectly oriented towards beginners (I haven't watched it in its entirety, but I have seen his videos on C# and Python [programming languages, don't worry about it] and they did a lot to help explain certain things to me that I didn't know previously!).

BroCode's HTML in 1 hour and CSS in 1 hour are pretty good! His videos do include a little bit on how to implement some JavaScript here and there, but nothing major or terrifying.

I will say that searching for YouTube videos on HTML/CSS will always sort of gear more towards what people in the professional sphere are looking for rather than what you'd see on Neocities.
