Dutch lawyers demand halt export of F-35 fighter jet parts to Israel

Human rights lawyers appealed to the Dutch court on Monday to stop the export to Israel of fighter jet parts that could be used in attacks on the Gaza Strip, AP News reported.

The organisations claim that the supply of spare parts for F-35 aircraft makes the Netherlands complicit in alleged war crimes committed by Israel in its war against Hamas. The lawyers are requesting that the Hague District Court issue an injunction prohibiting the export of the parts stored in a warehouse located in the town of Woensdrecht.

The state must immediately stop the delivery of F-35 parts to Israel.

Citing government documents, lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld reported that Dutch customs asked the government if it wanted to continue exports after the October 7 Hamas attacks that triggered military conflict in the Middle East.

“The warning that the fighter jets can contribute to serious breaches of the laws of war does not, for the [Dutch] state, outweigh its economic interests and diplomatic reputation.”

Bodies Of 1,500 Hamas Operatives Found Around Gaza Strip: Israel Army

Israel is reeling under a deadly attack by Hamas operatives who entered through the border fence under a barrage of rocket fire on Saturday morning.

Around 1,500 bodies of Hamas operatives have been found in Israel around the Gaza Strip, the army said Tuesday, as it pummelled the Palestinian enclave with air strikes.

“Approximately 1,500 bodies of Hamas militants were found in Israel around the Gaza Strip,” military spokesman Richard Hecht told reporters, adding that security forces had “more or less restored control over the border” with Gaza.

“Since last night we know that no one came in .. but infiltrations can still happen.”

The army had “nearly completed” evacuation of all the communities around the border, he added.

Israel is reeling under a deadly attack by Hamas operatives who entered through the border fence under a barrage of rocket fire on Saturday morning and killed more than 900 people inside Israel.

In response, Israel is carrying out a massive air and artillery bombardment of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip that has so far killed at least 687 people in the coastal enclave.

Undercover Israeli troops infiltrated a hospital in the West Bank

Israeli soldiers dressed as civilian women and paramedics stormed a hospital in the West Bank on Tuesday, killing three Palestinian militants, Israeli media reported.

The Israeli army said the militants had used the hospital as a hideout but offered no proof. They claimed one of those killed had passed weapons and ammunition to others for a planned attack allegedly inspired by a Hamas attack on southern Israel on 7 October.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli troops opened fire on Ibn Sina Hospital in the West Bank town of Jenin. A hospital spokesman said there was no exchange of fire, indicating it was a targeted killing.

Surveillance footage from the hospital shows about a dozen undercover officers, most of them armed, wearing Muslim headscarves, hospital gowns or white doctors’ dressing gowns. One of them carries a rifle in one hand and a folded wheelchair in the other.

ISRAELI RESERVISTS REFUSE TO FIGHT IN REPORTED "BURNOUT"

The Israeli Channel 12 media outlet is reporting the refusal of a reserve company of 30 soldiers to continue fighting in the Gaza Strip due to reported "burnout".

According to Channel 12, the soldiers belonging to a reserve company of some 30 soldiers, attached to the regular paratrooper brigades, received orders this morning to prepare for further deployment in ground operations in Gaza's southern city of Rafah.

Following receiving their orders, the company of soldiers informed their commanders they would not be participating in the actions because they were "no longer capable."

The commander of the brigade responded by saying he would not force the reservists to appear and that no operational gap will be caused by their refusal to participate, however, the commander agreed that issue reflects a high attrition rate among reserve forces after several months of fighting.

The company's commander added that he was "not doing this because I like guns. Not because I'm looking for peace from my wife. Not because I find personal satisfaction [in Gaza]. I'm doing it because I have to, because my brothers and sisters are kidnapped And that we are in the second state of the State of Israel and it will continue to be painful and difficult."
