❥ WANTED: witchy penpal

Hello my dear stranger on the internet!

How long has it been? I couldnt say myself. But I hope you remember me because I think I´ve almost forgot.

As the headline might suggest, I wish for a penpal. Snail mail specifically.

The simple reason for this is, that I long for the romanticism of having a kindred soul over miles and miles away, of showing the commitment of writing letters with your bare hands and about bare life.

Obviously, I am concerned about safety as well so starting so message each other for a start feels good to me.

But who am I and what am I looking for in a penpal? Lets start there.

Who am I?

On the 16th of april, I already shared a little post about myself. So that would be a good way of getting an impression about me.

Here are the short facts:

I am 21 years old

speaking english and german

she/her

INFP hardcore

I am super passionate about the following things and obviously more that wouldnt come to my mind right now: Harry Potter, stardew valley, animal crossing, cottagecore, period dramas, history in general, indie music and lately pop as well, paranormal horror and folklore as well as witchcraft and plant medicine, popculture, the 60s and 70s especially and books. Big time books and stories to submerge myself into.

I dont want to go more into detail for now, because of ✨privacy✨.

What am I looking for?

Again, some short facts to start with:

age range: between 20 and 30 (just because I think everything else wouldnt be balanced)

any gender

any country

shared interests would be nice

I am looking for a person who is as interested in forming a long distance friendship as I am. I would love to find a soul who is just as witchy as me or better, even witchier. I would love to learn more about witchcraft, spirituality and this way of living.

But in general, lets just connect and find out if there is potential for a bond. I do believe in fate, so If your belly already tells you to message me or drop a comment, please do.

It might help to leave your age, the country you write from and something that explicitly spoke to you in this entry.

I think I have said enough for now, so lets end this entry, this request to the universe with my prompts.

Reasons Why You Should Write Through Uncertainty

The publishing industry has always been one of constant change. Having been a published author for over twenty years, I can tell you that. Publishers rising and falling. New trends. Heck, I even remember when ebooks were new and you no longer had to explain to people what they were. Yeah, I'm old. That's okay, though, because it means for the purposes of this blog, I've been through a lot of uncertainty in the business, a lot of changes, and I want to tell you that the world needs your stories. You must write with and through uncertainty. Think about marketing. Platforms rise and fall. Some allow us to gain large followings and help us boost our sales while others seem perfect for us and end up flopping. Trends, tropes, even whole genres seem to come and go in and out of fashion. Through all of this, yes, the world still needs your stories. But it can be difficult to write through uncertainty. It can be difficult to write when you don't know how you're going to tell people about your books or if they'll even hear about it. It can be difficult to know what to do when the political landscape, which has the power to impact our stories, shifts so quickly. My answer? Keep writing. I'm not going to be all pollyanna about this and say that things will change slowly enough for you to get your bearings. They might change on a dime. But what I will tell you is that your voice is needed. Your voice needs to be heard. Your stories need to be heard. Your stories could change a day or even a life. And let's be honest, for many of us the reality we're living in is difficult. It's tough. Finding joy. FInding an escape. Finding a way to experience joy and hope for a while, even if it's about fictional characters, that's a powerful gift to give someone. So how do we get through this? Together. With our communities. By holding one another, keeping space for one another, and most of all, you know I'm going to say it, so say it with me--keep writing! If you're afraid, put that fear onto the paper. If you're worried for the future give yourself an escape with your writing. Do it for yourself and do it for others. I promise you, your story and your voice is needed right now. First of all, know that I have multiple requests waiting in my drafts to be posted. I see every single one of you and your brilliant ideas, it’s just that I am one (1) person, and as I’m posting this, there are over 100 asks chilling in my inbox. I am so extremely sorry for getting to you so late. I, unfortunately, am not a robot nor a writing machine 😔

Second, for the people that are familiar with this blog, you guys know this is not my usual type of content. Honestly, I’m not planning on making a habit out of it, but I do think I owe you a reason why I took such a sudden step back without giving you something.

Sometimes, being in my own head isn’t easy. I know a lot of people are struggling with mental health, and I’ve been battling mine for ages now. Every now and then, the mind wins. It’s not a pretty view when that happens, and the hate I give myself in those moments is unmatched. It’s sad and unfortunately, I’ve never learned how to be kind to myself. I overthink, I overwork my body, and I always forget that I need rest in order to be at my full capacity. When I do forget, my body is reminding me in the most brutal ways.

I know my triggers, I am constantly working on myself, and I am very careful of what external factors I surround myself with. Yet, somehow, I end up in the same vicious cycle. You would think that, by now, I would be better at handling it, but healing isn’t linear. It has many twists and turns, and sometimes a wrong turn leads into a deserted nothingness. Suddenly, you’re all alone and you have to map your way out of there, but it’s dark, you’re tired, and you ran out of gas.

I am not sharing this for pity, but to remind you that we all carry things others can’t always see. Everyone is fighting their own quiet battles, and sometimes just being gentle, patient, and kind can mean the world to someone. I know it does to me, that’s why I am so overwhelmed by your words. If me being open can make one person feel less alone, then it’s worth it.

Writing has saved me more than once. And now, through this blog, I am so grateful for everyone who has ever read me, liked, reblogged, commented and left their thoughts in my inbox. I value you all and this lil chaotic community you’ve helped me build. I miss you a hundred times more, and I can’t wait to be back on schedule aka annoying all of you with 173 posts a day 😌

Dream journal

France. 🇫🇷.

This is the third dream that I’ve ended up exploring around France. I have no clue how I’ve travelled there, if it was by boat, plane, flying, or even teleported but somehow I wind up there.

I was with my husband trying to look for the perfect place to take some pictures// selfies. We even stopped at a little cafe and it was full of people. I even remember observing everyone, there was a table of 4 or 5 people across from where we were sitting and it looked pretty rough around the edges, and one even approached me. She thought she could be slick and try to rob me but I reminded her I was from America and a city where if you’re going to rob someone to do it right - all of a sudden she left.

I was even speaking in French in my dreams ( which I only know a few words ) so that was pretty cool. I ran into a few French natives who spoke English. This entire time my husband and I are so stunned by how beautiful this country is, and we weren’t even in Paris or anywhere near there. Wherever we were it was gorgeous. Possibly the country side of France.

Typically when I write my dreams down I like to read about the meaning and figure out what in my life is symbolizing this in my unconscious? Dreams have always fascinated me and I truly believe that the dreams we have during our sleep is insane powerful. Like Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”.

I’ve been going through a transition in life where I’ve been moving on and letting go of the past in order to continue to heal myself. This dream I had regarding being abroad, being a married woman, having my husband there and down to all the details this dream symbolized everything that I was currently going through. Also, a reminder that good things will be happening.

The fact that I was abroad symbolizes change, change of environment, and being open to welcome change.

Being in France meant that there will be mental comfort and being calm. Also, leaving the past and working towards a happier future. A new life that offers more happiness and joy.

There’s also meaning behind being a married woman, and her husband traveling to France. It can mean that a happy event is coming for them.

Thankfully, this dream for me represents so much in my current life it’s incredible. I really think everyone could benefit from keeping dream journals for this reason. It will help you better understand yourself.
