Suction Machine Everything You Need to Know
Using a suction machine effectively and safely is essential for healthcare professionals and caregivers when managing patients with respiratory issues or difficulty clearing secretions. This step-by-step guide provides comprehensive instructions on how to operate a suction machine, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
Proper usage of a suction machine involves understanding the equipment, preparing the patient, and executing the suctioning process with caution. By following this guide, healthcare providers can enhance their skills in using a suction machine, ultimately promoting better respiratory health outcomes for their patients.
What Is a Suction Machine?
A suction machine, also known as a suction pump or aspirator, is a medical device use to remove mucus, blood, saliva, and other fluids or debris from a person’s airway or body. It creates a vacuum to draw out these substances through a tube or catheter attached to the machine.
Suction machines come in various sizes and types, from portable units for home use to larger, more powerful models used in hospitals and clinics. They are an essential tool in managing respiratory issues and ensuring airway clearance for patients who have difficulty coughing or clearing secretions independently.
Types of Suction Machines
Suction machines are devices used to remove fluid and mucus from the airways of patients who are unable to do so on their own. There are several types of suction machines available in the market, and they can be broadly classified into three categories: manual suction devices, electrically powered suction units, and battery-powered portable suction machines.

Manual Suction Devices
Manual suction devices are operated by hand and require physical effort to create a vacuum. They are typically used in emergency situations or when power sources are not available. These devices are simple to use and require minimal training. They consist of a handheld pump, suction tubing, a collection container, and a suction catheter. Examples of manual suction devices include the Laerdal Suction Unit and the Ambu Res-Cue Pump.
Electrically Powered Suction Units
Electrically powered suction units are the most common type of suction apparatus. They are powered by electricity and come in various sizes, from portable models for home healthcare to larger, more powerful units for hospitals. These devices are more efficient than manual suction devices and require less physical effort. They consist of a motor, suction tubing, a collection container, and a suction catheter. Examples of electrically powered suction units include the DeVilbiss Vacu-Aide QSU and the Drive Medical Heavy Duty Suction Machine.
Battery-Powered Portable Suction Machines
Battery-powered portable suction machines are designed for use in remote locations or when power sources are not available. These devices are lightweight and compact, making them easy to transport. They are typically used in emergency medical services, ambulances, and home healthcare settings. They consist of a rechargeable battery, suction tubing, a collection container, and a suction catheter. Examples of battery-powered portable suction machines include the SSCOR VX-2 and the Laerdal Compact Suction Unit.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using a Suction Machine Effectively
Preparation and Equipment Gathering
Embark on the suction journey by gathering the essential components of the suction machine ensemble. From the very backbone, the suction machine itself, to the nimble and versatile suction catheters of various sizes, precise planning sets the stage for a seamless procedure. Connecting tubing acts as the conduit for suction, akin to the circulatory system in the human body. An optional but often beneficial inclusion is saline solution, a versatile companion for fluid management.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Before delving into the operational intricacies of the suction machine, fortify your defense against potential health risks. The trifecta of personal safety equipment—mask, gloves, and eye protection—creates an impermeable barrier, ensuring that the caretaker remains impervious to potential contagions.
Inspecting the Suction Machine
In the realm of healthcare, precision is paramount. Prior to engaging in any medical intervention, conduct a meticulous visual scrutiny of the suction machine. Verify its cleanliness, ensure the absence of contaminants, and ascertain its operational integrity. A well-maintained and functional suction machine is the linchpin for a seamless and effective suction procedure.
Tubing and Catheter Connection
Transitioning from visual inspection to practical assembly, connect the tubing securely to the suction machine. This umbilical link is the lifeline, channeling the force of suction to the versatile suction catheter. Ensuring a secure and seamless connection fortifies the foundation for an unimpeded suction operation.
Powering On and Pressure Calibration
With the apparatus assembled, breathe life into the suction machine. The initiation of this medical marvel is the prelude to a symphony of therapeutic intervention. However, the key lies not just in activation but in calibration. Adjust the suction pressure with a discerning eye, aligning it precisely with the patient’s needs. This delicate balance is the fulcrum between efficacy and patient comfort.
Trial Suction
Before the suction machine takes center stage in the patient-care performance, conduct a preliminary test. This involves occluding the catheter’s end, akin to a dress rehearsal for a pivotal act. The responsiveness of the suction machine is scrutinized, ensuring that it stands ready for the delicate dance that is suction.
Patient Positioning
With the backstage preparations complete, turn the spotlight to the patient. Positioning is an art in itself—a delicate balance between comfort and accessibility. Opt for a semi-reclined or seated posture, ensuring that the patient is not only at ease but also cooperative during the impending suction procedure.
Airway Insertion
As the curtains rise on the suction procedure, finesse becomes the guiding principle. Introduce the suction catheter into the patient’s oral cavity with a surgeon’s precision. Navigate this delicate terrain with caution, steering clear of the recesses of the throat to avert reflex-induced complications. Apply suction judiciously, weaving the catheter with a gentle, rotating motion to extract unwanted secretions with a balletic grace.
Catheter Withdrawal
In the crescendo of the suction process, withdrawal demands its own spotlight. Swiftly and with a calculated finesse, remove the catheter whilst maintaining suction. This dance of ingress and egress ensures the effective extraction of unwanted secretions without subjecting the patient to undue prolongation.
Post-Suction Cleaning
With the main performance concluded, the postlude commences with cleansing. Flush the catheter with saline or air, dictated by the exigencies of the situation. Adhere diligently to cleansing protocols for reusable components. This precise post-suction act ensures that the stage is set for sequent mediation, free from the remnants of the preceding medical performance.
Shutdown and Post-Procedure Reflection
As the curtain falls on the suction operation, the denouement involves shutting down the machine. Meticulously disconnect the tubing and methodically clean reusable components, leaving no room for oversights. This post-procedure reflection is not just a formality but a crucial step in the continuous refinement of medical practices. It is a moment to ensure that no loose ends compromise the efficacy of subsequent interventions.
Conclusion
In mastering the intricate art of using suction machines, this step-by-step guide unveils a methodical approach where precision and safety converge. Navigating the delicate nuances of this medical procedure ensures not only optimal patient care but also upholds the highest standards of clinical practice. The suction machine, in the hands of a skilled practitioner, becomes not just a tool but a symphony conductor orchestrating a harmonious blend of technology and care.

the one where ellie discovers that she has a praise kink minors dni
ellie twisted one final screw into place on the new bookcase she was constructing for your shared book collections. she leaned back, letting out a small grunt once the backache from being hunched over for so long caught up to her. she wiped stray hairs from her face and inspected her handiwork.
you, being a supportive girlfriend, laid a gentle hand on her shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. "atta girl,” you commended, "looks great."
ellie's heart skipped a beat when cursed phrase left your mouth. it was innocent enough—at least the intent behind it in the moment. she glanced over her shoulder up at you, eyes wide and lips parted but not a word escaping. safe to say, all coherent thought was out the window for a fleeting moment. her rosy cheeks only deepened when your sly smile revealed that her reaction hadn't gone unnoticed. ellie would then mumble "thanks" and use her exhaustion from the manual labor as an excuse, which you accepted.
okay, maybe ellie did have an inkling of suspicion about why the phrase affected her. the heat suddenly pulsating to her lower region was answer enough.
and praise already was often sprinkled in when you two were intimate. as a treat. so it wasn't totally new. but the unexpected strike during such an innocuous moment pulled a reaction out of ellie that she hadn’t felt so intensely before. she was just too embarrassed to admit it and wasn't ready to bring it up.
this all changed, of course, during one tired, opportune movie night. sprawled mellowly on ellie's old couch, bodies barely brushing against each other, your gaze repeatedly falls on her silhouette- unable to look away. ellie's perfect smattering of freckles, round emerald eyes, soft bridge of her nose, chestnut hair curved around her jaw. ellie didn't have to do a damn thing; she was just so damn pretty.
finally, your temptation peaks, fueling your audacity to place a deliberate hand on her thigh. you squeeze it, speaking volumes about your growing need. you craved ellie. badly.
a few inelegant adjustments to remove some clothes and get into more comfortable positions later, ellie sinks back into the couch cushion, her torso bare. you take a few beats to seal the image to memory, her soft skin, the curves of her breasts and figure. your suppressed desire unleashed, starting an assault of kisses and bites everywhere on ellie that you can access. the film becomes white noise in the background, entirely forgotten.
your lips, suctioned to ellie's chest, release with a pop. you admire the masterpiece of spattered reddening marks you left all over her skin. the hand previously massaging her other breast starts to travel downwards, tracing her sternum like a trail of flames. your kisses work their way up her neck, these daintier so you can focus on savoring ellie's delicious whines.
your palm grazes the dampened fabric of ellie’s panties, taking great satisfaction in seeing her world turn hazy and glassy-eyed.
“please..please..” ellie whispered- lost for air and desperate. you smirk, feeling your fingers grow wet from her arousal.
you guide ellie to briefly lift her hips to shrug her shorts and panties off, giving you unbridled access to her soaked heat. she parts her legs further, inviting. your mouth goes dry at the sight. you dip your fingers between her glistening folds, the tantalizing movement eliciting a whine from ellie. your thumb finds her pulsing clit and starts slowly tracing circles. once you’ve worked her and yourself up, you press one finger deep into her slick center, trying not to fall apart from how worked up her cries have gotten you.
“you’re being such a good girl for me,” you muttered tenderly, lazily pumping your finger inside her.
the petname hit ellie like a lightning strike. she tells on herself with how she clenches around your digits, her hips bucking up to encourage your thrusts deeper. you turn devilishly cocky when you realize the cause of her unraveling. she’s begging you to keep talking, to move your hand faster and bring her to ecstasy. you keep up the pace, focused on stretching her out until gradually adding a second finger and curling them deeper.
“fuck, you’re taking my fingers so well,” you purr, pairing it with more light kisses and nibbles to her ear.
“mmm…oh my fucking god—“ ellie breathes your name like a prayer, her pleas tumbling out incomprehensibly.
“you like being my good fucking girl, hmm? i didn’t know just how much..you’re so fucking tight…”
your words are ellie’s downfall, a long-awaited orgasm suddenly crashing through her. her entire body shudders, and you guide ellie through the waves uttering similar, delicate phrases, reveling in how the praise undid her. “good fucking girl, atta girl…”
once the throes of pleasure grow further apart, you pull your fingers from her. you bring your wet digits up and press them to ellie’s lips, giving a quiet command for her clean up her mess. “suck.”
ellie, flushed and dumbed out from her orgasm, mindlessly wraps her pretty lips around you, tasting herself on your fingers. the warmth enveloping you is almost overbearing for your own lust. of course, you encourage her as she sucks them clean. that’s it, my sweet girl. i’m so proud of you.”

Heart Shot | Zayne
Summary: It started as a coping mechanism — a secret, anonymous flirtation you expected to burn out with the help of a pink bow and silly notes. But every arrow you fire lands closer to something real — and the man you thought was untouchable suddenly isn’t dodging anymore.
Tag(s): Zayne x nurse! Reader, lots of fluff, pre-relationship fluff, hospital romance, written with female reader in mind, second hand embarrassment, mild archer! Zayne, silly people in love.
Word count: 2.7k
Now playing: Cupid by FIFTY FIFTY
Notes: Formerly titled 'Bullseye'. Just woke up to see I had hit 400 followers this morning and in celebration of that, I'm releasing my first ever fic of Zayne. Hopefully everybody enjoys it ♥
As one of the most seasoned nurses in the cardiac wing, you’d long since earned the trust of even the most demanding surgeons. Battle-tested in emergencies and headstrong in crisis, you were a pillar of calm in the chaos of the OR. But nothing — nothing — had prepared you for the battle that was raging in your chest: a hopeless, all-consuming crush on none other than the head cardiac surgeon himself, Dr. Zayne.
He was brilliant, reserved, maddeningly unbothered by the flurry of emotion that seemed to ripple through everyone else whenever he entered a room. You had worked alongside him for years, and while others found his cold, clinical demeanor off-putting, you somehow saw the warmth that flickered beneath it.
You prided yourself on the professional companionship you shared with him — mutual respect, shared jokes on occasion, the rare but treasured smiles he allowed himself when you said something that genuinely amused him.
Which made your recent blunder all the more mortifying.
During a high-stakes mitral valve repair just a few days ago, you had done the unthinkable. You were assisting Zayne, as you had many times before, and everything was running smoothly. Until he said, “Clamps.”
But instead of responding with your usual efficiency, your eyes were glued onto his hands. More specifically, the veins beneath the taut latex of his gloves. Your body reacted a second too late and the clamps slipped from your grasp and hit the sterile floor with a horrifying clink. You scooped them up in a panic and offered them anyway, and watched as the whole OR froze.
Zayne didn’t take them. Instead, he looked at you with such sheer incredulity that you instantly recalled every page of your surgical instrument sterilization manual in horrifying detail.
“That’s contaminated,” he said icily from behind his surgical mask, not even looking at you — just through you.
Your brain, fueled by pure shame and meme culture, offered the only response it could muster: “Um… five-second rule?”
Later, in his office, he let you have it. Not with shouting, of course. Zayne never did shouting. He did disappointment. And he was very good at it. After a solid ten-minute monologue on sterility protocols and ‘having expected better from someone with your experience,’ you left his office to crawl back into the earth.
You avoided him after that. You rerouted your coffee breaks and volunteered for shifts that didn't have him. You stayed alert just in case you got a transfer notice, which, fortunately, you didn't.
But avoiding Zayne only made your feelings boil hotter under the surface. You needed an outlet, something to release the idiotic affection swirling inside your ribcage. And that’s how you — an educated, credentialed nurse — ended up ordering a hot pink plastic Cupid bow and arrow set online at 2:12 a.m.
It arrived the next day: neon pink, the arrows tipped with heart-shaped suction cups, and laughably dramatic. It was a viral gag gift, popular with people who liked playing Cupid on social media. Except you had taken it a step further.
You wrote little anonymous notes with compliments, sweet nothings, medical pick-up lines and rolled them up, taping them to the arrows. Then you smuggled the toy into the hospital and hid it in your locker in the break room.
Your plan? Ambush Zayne by firing one arrow per day until your dignity or your license gave out. Either he’d laugh (hopefully), report you to HR (realistically), or — by some divine miracle — be touched by your ridiculous display of affection and fall madly in love with you (good jokes). Your feelings needed to go, and you figured nothing would kill romantic delusion faster than mortifying yourself with humiliating public displays of nonsense.
Day one
It was a crisp Tuesday morning at the hospital, the kind where the scent of antiseptic still clung thickly in the air from the early shift’s rigorous cleaning. The morning meeting had just ended, and like a tide retreating, doctors and residents poured out of the conference room in clusters, their footsteps echoing against the linoleum as they dispersed to their respective duties. The fluorescent lights above buzzed softly, and the sun streamed through the high windows in thin, filtered beams, casting a tired glow across the sterile white floors. The air smelled of antiseptic and fresh paper, tinged faintly with over-brewed coffee from the break room down the hall.
You stood tucked behind a concrete pillar near the east hallway, your back pressed flat against the cool surface, heart thundering. You could feel the absurd shape of the toy bow poking into your hip from under your scrubs where you'd awkwardly shoved it sometime ago to sneak it with you. The arrows, with their bright pink foam hearts, stuck out of your jeans pocket and you pulled your scrubs tighter to hide them.
You peeked around the edge of the beige support pillar you were currently using as camouflage, your breath caught halfway between a prayer. The hallway was almost empty now, save for the subject of your ridiculous affection, standing in the middle of it.
Zayne stood with one foot slightly turned out, clipboard in hand, jade eyes focused on the patient chart in front of him. His dark hair was slightly tousled in that infuriatingly perfect way, his lab coat flaring just a little at the back like he’d walked off a medical drama set.
You glanced around, eyes darting to make sure no one else was around. The coast was clear. He was engrossed in whatever file he was reading, completely unaware of what was about to happen.
From behind the pillar, you fumbled with the bow. It squeaked when you pulled back the string. Of all the props in all the stores in the world, you had to pick the one that squeaked. Your fingers, steady as steel in surgery, trembled now like they’d never known stability. You nocked the arrow with shaky fingers, adjusting the rolled-up pink sticky note you'd attached earlier.
“Okay, just center it… gently. Like placing a suture,” you whispered to yourself. A little pep talk.
Your hands were slick with nervous sweat. You held your breath. You had no archery training. Your only reference point was seeing some of the Deepspace hunters having a bow as their choice of weapon and firing it at the wanderers that had once invaded Akso Hospital. You aimed — or attempted to — for his heart.
The arrow veered slightly to the right, missed Zayne’s heart by a good foot and a half, and stuck squarely to the back of his clipboard. You gasped — then immediately ducked back behind the pillar, flattening yourself against it like a character in a cartoon, chest heaving.
Peeking out with one eye, you saw him pause his reading and slowly tilt the clipboard towards himself to inspect the pink projectile now suctioned firmly to its back. He glanced around, likely trying to identify the source of it but found none. He peeled the pink sticky note off with a neutral expression, unrolled the note deliberately, and read it.
You watched from the shadow of the pillar as his eyes scanned the words. The line of his brow eased and then one eyebrow rose by just a millimetre. A reaction so subtle it might’ve gone unnoticed by anyone else. But not by you.
And that was all the information you could process before the adrenaline got the better of you and you took off — straight down the hallway, hurried footsteps, cheeks aflame, the bow clutched to your chest like you’d just committed some sort of crime.
You didn’t stop running until you were safely back in the break room, where you shoved the bow, slammed your locker shut, leaned back against it, and gasped for breath like you’d just finished a marathon.
Day two
You’d been on your feet for hours — morning rounds, a consultation, two new admissions. You weren’t on a break, not technically, but your last task had wrapped up ten minutes early, and that meant only one thing in your world now: it was time for the next attempt. Most of your colleagues were either in their departments or catching a quick snack before the next round of patient visits. You were just returning after restocking supplies when you spotted Zayne.
He was standing at the water cooler near the far wall, just off to the side of the hallway, his back half-turned to the corridor. It was a quiet spot, mostly out of view. He had his lab coat sleeves pushed up, and he was leaning slightly forward as he pressed the little plastic lever and filled his paper cup. You hated how effortlessly attractive he looked doing nothing.
You felt your fingers twitch.
Before you could talk yourself out of it, you doubled back towards the break room, pulled open your locker, and took out the bow and arrow set hurriedly. You grabbed one of the arrows and checked if the little rolled-up note you’d stuck on it earlier was properly sticking to it.
You found a spot near the corner where a big decorative plant provided enough cover. Thankfully, today’s chosen target zone was a less dramatic setting than yesterday’s corridor. You crouched down slightly, gripping the bow like you were trying to remember how human hands were supposed to work.
You loaded the arrow, biting your lip as you adjusted your grip. You had practiced a little more since yesterday — nothing formal, just a few shots in your apartment before your cat had attacked the dangling heart-shaped arrow and nearly broken your kitchen lamp.
Your plan for today was simple: aim for the cooler. Hit the wall just above it. Let the arrow bounce off near him with enough proximity that he would notice, but not enough to actually hit him.
You pulled back the string and let go. And the arrow zoomed off-course and smacked him square on the forehead. You instantly ducked back behind the plant, hands over your mouth, struggling not to burst out laughing.
Zayne blinked. The water cup in his hand wobbled slightly, and for a second, you thought it might tip over. He reached up, peeled the arrow off with a confused look on his face, and stared at it like it had just dropped from another dimension. He was reading the note now, his jade eyes trailing along the lines. You saw his mouth twitch, the corners of his lips quirking up. Not a full smile — more like the idea of a smile. It was the kind of expression someone makes when they’re trying very hard not to react, and they’re mostly failing. And then — he exhaled through his nose and shook his head once, walking back to his office with the little note and the arrow in hand.
You crouched lower behind the plant. There was a stupid grin on your face and your body was tingling in a weirdly giddy way. You waited a few more minutes before standing up and walking in the opposite direction.
Day after day, arrow after arrow, you let your absurd plan unfold. Each time, his reactions thawed another layer of his carefully guarded composure. You continued, a few arrows here and there — his locker, the break room, once even mid-presentation at the weekly surgical review meeting. Each time, he reacted the same way: unreadable at first, then just the faintest sign of amusement that fanned the foolish little flame in your chest. You’d catch him pocketing the notes as if filing them away for future diagnosis.
Then came today.
It was midnight when you finally found a pocket of free time. The patient charts had been signed, your shift duties temporarily in check. That’s when you decided for another strike. You knew Zayne had a short gap between procedures, and his office light had been on earlier. You’d been watching the hallway casually from the small corner where supply cabinets broke the line of sight. His shadow had passed by the frosted window in his office door twice since. You figured he was standing, maybe reading something, or maybe pacing.
Your plan was simple: Aim for the center of Zayne’s office door. Not his head, not his arm, not any part of him directly — just the door. You’d seen the shadow inside. He’d be coming out soon. You just needed the arrow to land when he would exit, let him notice it and make him smile again.
You nocked an arrow, tongue poking out in concentration, aiming for the center of his door. So focused were you on your target, you didn’t notice the soft footfalls approaching from behind — until you felt a warm hand wrap around your waist and another slide over your hand on the bow — just firmly enough to freeze you in place. The contact startled you so hard you nearly dropped the bow.
Zayne was right behind you, half-embracing you, correcting your form as if this were a shooting range and not a hospital hallway. His gaze was fixed forward, his tone calm and maddeningly unaffected.
“Your stance is off,” he said, voice low, like he didn’t want it to echo. His breath ghosted across your cheek as he pulled your body back against his. “You’re pulling too much with your fingers, not your back.”
You felt him ease you back just a little, accurately aligning your posture. His chest brushed lightly against your back, his arm sliding along yours to adjust your hold on the bowstring. His fingers were warmer than expected, calloused from years of surgical work, but the touch was careful, like he didn’t want to startle you more than he already had.
He deliberately adjusted your elbow with his hand and pulled your upper arm slightly back so the arrow sat straighter. The door to the office opened just then. You felt him release your hand. The arrow launched and landed with a splat on the forehead of Greyson, your colleague, who had just emerged from Zayne’s office.
There was a brief pause, followed by a loud “What the hell?” from Greyson as he struggled to peel the arrow off.
You couldn’t even laugh, too mortified by the presence beside you to do so. The shadow in the office had been Greyson — not Zayne. You shrank into yourself immediately, lowering the bow, trying to form some apology, but your brain had turned into static. You felt him step away from you. You expected him to walk away, or worse — scold you with that same sharp tone he’d used back in his office after the surgery clamp incident. But instead, he reached for the bow in your hands and took it gently.
Then, to your complete confusion, he picked up one of the remaining arrows from your quiver, dug into his coat pocket, and pulled out a blue sticky note. He didn’t say anything. He just wrote something, rolled it carefully, and stuck it to the arrow. Then he stepped in front of you, lifted the bow, and with a slow, deliberate shot — fired it directly at you.
The arrow landed cleanly on your chest, just above your heart.
You plucked it off gently, fingers fumbling slightly as you unrolled the blue note.
“Ever wondered what kind of combination archery lessons and freshly brewed tea might make?”
You stared at the handwriting for a second longer than necessary. Your heart dropped to your stomach and rose again in the same breath. You looked up at him — your face no doubt a disaster of color and disbelief.
He met your eyes for the first time fully, without avoiding or glazing over. There was a subtle lightness in the way he stood now, something more relaxed than usual. He was smiling — really smiling now. That slow, knowing curve of the lips that you’d never seen aimed at anyone else. He looked like a man who had been aware all along and was finally, finally joining the game.
Your voice came out softer than you intended. “I’d… love to know more about that.”
His smile deepened. “Friday. After your shift.”
And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving you speechless in the hallway, an arrow in your hand and a rapidly accelerating heartbeat in your chest.

WHAT IS THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM?
think of the lymphatic system as your body’s emotional janitor and drainage crew. it’s part of your immune system, and it does the following:
• filters waste, toxins, and pathogens
• moves lymph (a clear fluid) through your body
• helps circulate white blood cells
• absorbs fats from your digestive system
• balances fluids in your tissues
it’s made up of:
• lymph (fluid)
• lymph nodes (filter stations)
• lymphatic vessels (the pipelines)
• spleen, thymus, tonsils, bone marrow (support squad)
your heart pumps blood, but your lymph has no pump. it moves through muscle movement, breath, and manual stimulation. no movement = no drainage = sluggish, bloated, toxic vibes
WHAT IS LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE?
lymphatic drainage is the process of stimulating lymph flow to help it do its job faster and more efficiently. this can be done manually with massage or with tools/devices. it’s like giving your internal plumbing system a nudge.
benefits?
• reduced swelling/inflammation
• glowing skin
• decreased bloating
• boosted immunity
• improved healing post-surgery
• less brain fog
• reduced cellulite appearance
• de-puffing (hello, snatched face + jawline)
WHY YOUR LYMPH SYSTEM LOWKEY RUNS YOUR LIFE
when your lymph is stagnant, it doesn’t just affect your body it affects your mood, energy, skin, digestion, even spiritual flow. (yes, your energy field has drainage, too.)
poor lymph flow can lead to:
• chronic fatigue/ laziness/ procrastination
• frequent colds/infections
• puffy face or limbs
• brain fog
• digestive issues
• poor healing
• acne + skin flare-ups
• fibromyalgia or pain syndromes
this is your sign to stop ignoring your lymph.
SIGNS YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM MIGHT BE CONGESTED
• you wake up puffy AF
• you get sick a lot
• your skin looks dull or acne-prone
• you always feel bloated or heavy
• your eyes feel heavy/tired
• you have sinus issues
• your underarms or groin feel tender (lymph node overload)
• water retention that won’t go away
TYPES OF LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
A. MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE (MLD)
• slow, rhythmic, skin-stretching strokes
• developed by Dr. Emil Vodder
• done by trained therapists or at home
• moves lymph from extremities toward nodes
B. MECHANICAL DRAINAGE
• compression suits (like Normatec)
• vacuum suction (like LPG Endermologie)
• electric rollers + vibration plates
C. INTERNAL (NATURAL)
• breathwork
• rebounding (trampoline bouncing)
• dry brushing
• sauna/sweating
• hydration
• movement & inversion yoga
HOW TO DO MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE AT HOME
PREP:
• be well-hydrated
• be relaxed (stimulating lymph in stress = nah)
• use a dry brush or clean hands
FACE:
1. start at collarbone, gently massage down and out
2. jawline → ears → down neck
3. under eyes → temples → down sides of face
4. forehead → temples → behind ears → down neck
5. always drain downwards toward collarbone
BODY:
1. start at armpits
2. stroke down from arms to armpits
3. belly massage in clockwise circular motions
4. groin lymph massage with gentle circular movement
5. legs: ankles upward to thighs, ending at groin
tip: Always go from distal to proximal, meaning far-to-close to the heart. And be gentle lymph is superficial, you don’t need deep pressure.
DEVICES THAT CAN HELP
for the face:
• gua sha (natural, ancient, sculpting goddess magic) (i use this)
• jade rollers (cooling and de-puffing)
• Foreo Bear or NuFace (microcurrent tools)
• ice globes (i use this)
• vibrating massagers (i use this)
for the body:
• dry brushes (firm bristle brush for exfoliation + flow) (i use this)
• lymphatic paddle boards (i use this)
• compression boots (used by athletes + lymphatic clinics)
• vibration plates (you stand and it shakes your lymph awake)
• infrared sauna blankets
• LPG Endermologie machines
LYMPH-FRIENDLY LIFESTYLE HACKS
FOODS:
• raw fruits (pineapple, berries, citrus)
• leafy greens
• ginger + turmeric
• dandelion root
• seaweed
• chlorella + spirulina
• omega-3 rich foods
HERBS:
• red clover
• cleavers
• echinacea
• astragalus
HABITS:
• drink water (especially warm lemon water)
• move daily (walk, yoga, stretch)
• alternate hot + cold showers
• dry brush before shower
• rebound on mini-trampoline
• sleep well (drainage is boosted in deep sleep)
LYMPH + BEAUTY
• lymphatic drainage de-puffs the face like magic
• stimulates collagen production
• clears breakouts by boosting detox
• reduces dark circles
• tightens jawline and cheekbones
• boosts skincare absorption
SPIRITUAL + ENERGETIC LAYER
in many healing traditions (like Ayurveda, TCM), lymph = life fluid. congestion = blocked emotional energy
blocked lymph = blocked creativity, blocked intuition, blocked glow.
draining the lymph = restoring your internal flow, your connection to Self, Source, and spirit.
you wanna shine? clear your waters.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU DO LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE?
• face: daily or every other day
• body: 3x a week minimum
• post-op: depends on doctor’s advice
• vibration plates/compression boots: 15–30 mins a few times a week
CONTRAINDICATIONS + SAFETY
don’t do lymphatic drainage if:
• you have active cancer
• you have infections or fever
• you have blood clots or deep vein thrombosis
• you are pregnant (only do under supervision)
• you’ve had heart or kidney issues (speak to a doc first)
always listen to your body. gentle is good. pain is not.
FINAL WORD
your lymphatic system is like your inner spa therapist, immune defense squad, and emotional sponge rolled into one. don’t sleep on it.
if you want:
• snatched cheekbones
• less puffiness
• glowing, radiant skin
• fewer colds
• balanced moods
• deep detox
• emotional flow
then lymphatic drainage isn’t optional. it’s essential. give your body the love, movement, and flow it deserves.

How does Etho's feeding system work since I'm guessing he no longer gets pole fed for safety reasons? Also what does his diet look like compared to what he used to eat out in the wild? :] - Sincerely Lobster anon
Below is some of my mad ramblings from a few days ago of me trying to figure that exact stuff out but i’ll explain some of it.
Apparently large tanks like his never get fed remotely trust i’ve been searching for so long so take this with a grain of engineering salt. Basically there’s a large basin with some of ethos tank water (supplied from the ocean nearby) that twice a week workers will dump a set weight of whole or chopped tuna, mackerel, and squid into. From there, there’s a flexible tube that suctions the contents from the basin up and over to the center of ethos tank, where a button has to be manually pressed to release the food into the tank (i’m hoping to show some of this process in the next chapter).
Like i mentioned earlier, he mostly eats tuna, mackerel, and squid, all frozen and imported from local fisheries. This amount of food is technically a future plot point, but i will say that out in the wild he tended to only hunt something large like a whale and that would be plenty for at least a month, so this twice a week diet of smaller fish is strange for him.

My Guide to Having Your First Prostate Orgasm
Preclusively, don't worry if you haven't achieved prostate orgasm yet. I had to ride my dildo many times before I finally had a prostate orgasm. That technically was my third dildo since my other two were glass, and I couldn't well manipulate them because of where they go, so I also recommend a softer (non-porous) material like silicone and a built-in suction cup.
Before you continue, you might notice, while stimulating your prostate, that ejaculation and orgasm are separate. Ejaculation is the releasing of cum, and orgasm is that bout of involuntary pelvic muscle contractions, so when together cum releases and gets shot out like what you've experienced with penile orgasms. Ejaculating without orgasming might feel like you accidentally pissed a little, but if your cock drips, drizzles, or otherwise leaks, it's cum (technically, prostatic fluid, which is a major part of cum) that comes out, not pee. Also, when trying to have your first prostate orgasm, you may need to actively think about orgasming from your prostate.
First, think about what gives you physical sexual pleasure other than ejaculating and orgasming. Personally, I love the feeling of fullness from a dildo passively pushing back on my walls to be inside me. Physical sexual pleasures also can include being touched deep inside, your hole opening and closing, stimulating your prostate of course, and ones that aren't inside like rubbing the shaft of a dildo along your hole. Don't forget about the erogenous like caressing your inner thigh, squeezing your ass cheeks, rolling your nipples in between your fingers, and grabbing your earlobe. Focus on those feelings of sensual and sexual pleasure while you masturbate to get you in the mood and especially when you're stimulating your prostate. Remember mood is important for how easy it is to orgasm from the prostate.
Here are some examples of simple sexual acts I had tried before I first had a prostate orgasm and that might help with getting used to feeling your prostate as a part of your body you can orgasm from. Try stimulating your penis and prostate one after the other or at the same time. The best of this might be to stimulate your penis intermittently while riding a dildo. While stimulating your prostate, try manually contracting and releasing in rhythm those pelvic muscles that move involuntarily during an orgasm.
If you can't tell whether you are stimulating your prostate, you could increase the amount of stimulation you put into the area. Try using a thicker dildo or a prostate massager. While your dildo is inside you, curving towards your back if it does curve, and stuck in place on a wall or between your cheeks, try leaning back, so the length of it pushes along your front wall. This'll only work well if your dildo is rigid enough but not too rigid. If you can be precise, you could try aiming the tip of your dildo into your front wall and poking yourself until you find the spot where you feel it the most. Remember that'll be in a little and towards your front.
If you had an orgasm and do stimulate your penis, check if it was indeed your first prostate orgasm by seeing whether your penis is painfully sensitive or your hole clamped shut like after a penile orgasm. If you did have a prostate orgasm, you should be able to continue riding your dildo without pain and, importantly, have more prostate orgasms that increase in intensity before you need to stop. Technically, you can orgasm from both the penis and prostate at the same time, so when you're trying to have multiple prostate orgasms, make sure you stay far enough away from penile orgasm.

Spinoff Story Vampire & Vampire Hunter part 5
Warnings: severe silver poisoning of vampire, captured vampire, whumper turned whumpee
"No sudden moves, all right?" Mallory muttered, and Alex wasn't sure if the statement was directed at him or if it was meant to reassure the hunter himself.
He could scent the nervous fear-sweat coming off Mallory as he fiddled with the straps on either side of his head, unbuckling them and quickly withdrawing his hands, holding the muzzle between them.
Alex could finally breathe right again, but the irritating bit was still lodged in his mouth. He tried to spit it out, but it was stuck to the roof of his mouth like glue, extending over his teeth and fangs like dentures, molded to fit over vampire canines.
Mallory frowned, then groaned in realization, squeezing his eyes shut. "Oh crap, they used the fang-cap bits, didn't they?" He huffed, then his voice turned into a mumble through gritted teeth as he grumbled to himself, "why do things like this always have to happen to me?"
Some muttered curses, and then Mallory finally looked back up to meet Alex's eyes, a sort of frightened resolve in his expression. "So, uh, it appears the bit they used is one that's not usually supposed to come out unless a vampire's dead. It's got some suction technology to stay in place and blunt fang edges. We use those for keeping captive vampires in check during experiments, and there isn't a need to remove them in those cases, which is why they're designed to stick and last. But, unfortunately, you're not one to end up dead in experiments, soooo...." He sheepishly scratched the back of his head, shifting his weight uncomfortably on his feet before continuing.
"I hate this idea as much as you probably will, but I'm going to have to fish around in your mouth and remove it manually. The least-thrilling thing for both of us," he admitted grimly. "But I'm not sure I trust you enough not to try and bite my fingers off. So now we have a problem, you see, because I'm rather attached to my fingers, but you want that bit out." An awkward silence descended between them, vampire and hunter eyeing each other cautiously.
"If I do this and you dare bite me, I'll make sure you suffer for it. Can I count on you not using your fangs once they're free?" Mallory asked sternly.
Alex nodded. He couldn't stand the hard piece of metal wedged in his mouth anymore -- it hurt so much.
Mallory shook his head with a dry laugh. "I must be going crazy," he muttered under his breath. He stepped up and tentatively took Alex's jaw in one hand, tilting his head up. "Be a good vampire and open up, 'kay?"
Alex's eyes narrowed a hair, remembering all the times he'd called Mallory a 'good human' during his captivity. The irony of the swapped roles was sickening. But he obediently stretched his mouth open as wide as it would go.
He saw Mallory shiver uneasily as the hunter braced himself, then stuck his vulnerable fingers into the jaws of death, feeling around the roof of his mouth for the bit. It wasn't hard to find, especially with part of it visible even when Alex's mouth was closed.
Alex had to hold his breath as the faint scent of human blood hit him, thrumming just beneath the skin. He hadn't gotten a chance to eat before he'd been taken, and after all the energy he'd used to recover from the silver poisoning, he was famished. His empty stomach clenched painfully, but Alex didn't bite down, even as his mouth began salivating heavily.

Mallory’s Flatline
An Original MedFetAI™️ Story
Mallory Hayes was thirty-five, athletic, sun-tanned, and independent—a wilderness tour guide back from a two-week hiking expedition. She walked into the ER at 6:48 pm with nothing more than a vague complaint: “I just feel… off.” Her voice was steady, but she looked pale beneath her freckles. Her pulse was fast, but nothing alarming—98 bpm. She laughed with the triage nurse about hiker’s paranoia, downplayed the dizziness, and shrugged when asked about any pain.
Vitals were taken. BP 114/76. O₂ sat 97%. Slight tachycardia, mild temperature of 37.8°C. She mentioned having had a brief fever during her trip, chalked it up to sleeping outside. The nurse noted that her skin felt slightly clammy. Mallory dismissed it. “Probably just dehydrated.”
At 7:15 pm, she was placed in a curtained bay and told to rest while they ran labs. She kicked off her boots and lay back in the paper-draped bed, her sports bra damp against her chest, a thin ER blanket pulled over her hiking shorts and bare legs.
7:22 pm. She sat up suddenly. Her chest hurt. Not sharp, not crushing—more like a pressure building beneath the sternum. She leaned forward. “Something’s not right.”
Her nurse returned just in time to see her sway. “Mallory?”
Then the monitor alarmed. Pulse dropped rapidly—98 to 44. BP unreadable. She slumped sideways, the monitor flatlining.
The code team descended instantly. A nurse ripped the blanket down, then pulled off her bra with scissors to clear access to the chest. Her toned torso was slick with sweat. Defib pads were slapped onto her sternum and side. “Charging to 200!”
Shock. Her back arched. No response.
“Intubate her,” the resident ordered, pushing the laryngoscope into her open mouth, tongue slack. The tube slid in with practiced urgency. The bag-valve mask hissed rhythmically.
Compressions began. Her chest caved rhythmically under the weight of two sets of gloved hands. Her sternum snapped under the pressure—subtle at first, then more obvious. The resident called for epi—1 mg IV push—then another.
7:29 pm. V-fib. Another shock. Her body jumped again. Still no pulse.
An ultrasound showed a pericardial effusion. “Tamponade,” someone said grimly.
They cut. A rapid thoracotomy was performed—chest wall opened in one clean motion, ribs spread. Her left lung sagged to the side. Blood pooled fast.
Suction. A cardiac needle. Fluid aspirated from the pericardial sac. Mallory’s heart fluttered briefly—an agonal blip—then stopped.
Internal massage began. Gloved hands cradled her heart, pumping directly. Epi again.
She remained unresponsive. Skin pale, lips blue. Her opened chest heaved with each manual squeeze of her heart.
Thirty-five minutes. No electrical activity. No contraction. The room was soaked in silence except for the rhythmic beeping of equipment refusing to give up.
“Time of death,” the attending whispered. “7:56 pm.”
They closed her chest carefully, placed a clean gown over her, and turned off the monitor.
Her boots still sat neatly at the foot of the bed. Muddy. Untouched.

Diego had worked at Sweet Dreams Pudding Factory for years, overseeing the daily production of its famous pudding vats. It was a relatively quiet job, and Diego enjoyed the sweet, comforting aroma of vanilla, chocolate, and caramel that filled the factory every day. But there was one rule that everyone knew: Never mess with the colossal pudding vat.
The colossal vat was the crown jewel of the factory, holding enough pudding to fill thousands of jars. The engineers had designed it with industrial precision, and a long, sturdy hose attached to the vat allowed the pudding to be transferred into the packaging machines. To Diego, it was a thing of beauty—and a source of endless temptation.
Late one night, after most of the crew had gone home, Diego found himself alone in the factory. He stood by the colossal vat, staring at the golden hose that snaked out from its side. The idea had been teasing him for weeks: What would it taste like straight from the source? He knew it was against the rules, but curiosity gnawed at him.
“Just one taste,” he muttered, gripping the hose. “No one will know.”
Diego switched the pump to manual mode and brought the hose to his lips. The first taste was heaven. Warm, creamy pudding flowed into his mouth, richer and smoother than anything he’d ever tasted. He couldn’t stop himself. He took another gulp… and then another.
But then, something went wrong.
The suction on the hose suddenly increased, locking it tightly to his mouth. Diego tried to pull it away, but it was as if the hose had a mind of its own. The pudding kept flowing, faster and faster, and Diego’s belly began to expand.
“Uh-oh…” he mumbled around the hose, his eyes wide as he looked down. His stomach, once flat, was already rounding out beneath his shirt. The pudding showed no signs of stopping. Diego stumbled back, his hands gripping his now-bulging belly, which sloshed audibly with each step.
“Okay, okay, that’s enough!” he shouted, though the hose muffled his words. He fumbled with the controls on the vat, but it was no use—the pump had jammed, and the entire colossal vat was emptying straight into him.
Within minutes, Diego’s belly had grown to absurd proportions. His shirt ripped clean off as his skin stretched to accommodate the sheer volume of pudding. He stumbled to the floor, forced to sit on his ballooning belly as it grew larger and larger, pressing against the machinery and walls.
“HELP!” Diego tried to shout, but the hose refused to budge. He hiccuped, sending ripples through his pudding-filled belly. His legs dangled helplessly off the sides as he grew too big to stand. By now, his belly was the size of a car, wobbling and sloshing like a living pudding vat of its own.
Alarms blared through the factory as the colossal vat began to empty completely. The hose finally dislodged itself with a loud pop, and Diego gasped for air, his face red and his body trembling under the weight of his newfound size. The room fell silent except for the sound of his belly groaning and gurgling.
By the time the factory manager arrived, Diego was sprawled in the center of the production floor, his belly so large it filled nearly half the room. The manager stared, slack-jawed, as Diego hiccupped again, sending his massive pudding-filled belly wobbling like a gelatin dessert.
“Diego!” the manager shouted. “What in the world happened?!”
Diego groaned, his face red with embarrassment. “I, uh… I got curious.”
The manager pinched the bridge of his nose. “Curious? You drained the entire vat! Do you realize how much pudding that was?!”
Diego’s belly let out a loud, gurgling groan as if in agreement. He tried to move, but his body was far too heavy. He sighed and flopped back onto the wobbling mass.
“I think I might need a little help,” Diego muttered.

txt when they have explosive diarrhoea! *UNSERIOUS
۫ ִ ﹗🐡 𓏸 txt!ot5 . ⊹ ݁ 🗯 ⋆ WARNING!!! lots of shit talk again as it is still a normal part of life!! THIS IS A JOKE!!! 𖤛REQUESTED!
CHOI YEONJUN.
too prideful for the diarrhoea pills.
hunched over with his legs cross while holding on to the wall for his dear life.
"It's a way of living."
sure it is yeonjun.
everyone already knows that he's suffering.
everyone can see how much yeonjun is clenching but they'd rather rejoice seeing the man in pain than help so it's like a fun time as he flails like a flag in the wind.
beomgyu purposefully occupies bathrooms so he has to suffer and wiggle and silently cry as he waits for him to come out
with taehyun recording yeonjun's entire ordeal
soobin walking around yeonjun while playing shitting noise on his bluetooth speakers.
it's a group venture at this point to mentally scar yeonjun for life
beomgyu only comes out when huening kai texts him that yeonjun had become blue in the face.
after yeonjun crawls into the bathroom at last
no one can enter that place anymore for like a week
it has been officially declared a biohazard zone.
yeonjun refuses to acknowledge that day.
CHOI SOOBIN.
the first thing after he is done shitting is slamming beomgyu's door open and accusing him of putting something in his take out.
beomgyu—"but i wasn't even there when you ate last!"
refuses to accept that he is suffering because had eaten spicy ramen last night which he hadn't been able to digest.
makes it everyone's problem that his ass is on fire but also refuses to go to the hospital because he is too embarrassed.
doesn't take pills because he thinks it can also heal on its own while huening kai has to help him by dragging him to the bathroom and stay outside for moral support with soobin checking every 4 second to make sure he's actually there
after taehyun forces the medicine down his throat, he's still complaining that the pain hasn't stopped within five seconds.
by the end of the night everyone has dark circles and messy hair from staying awake with soobin
with soobin finally crawling our of the bathroom like
"yes it's stopped coming out!"
while cradling the bump in his head from beomgyu's outburst and a punch
everyone cheered.
and then no one ever talked about that day again.
CHOI BEOMGYU.
brother just casually drops it in the conversation???
like we don't want the health state of your gut health beomgyu.
especially how much ton you think ended up shitting out.
will actively ruin any and every conversation with his near death experience with diarrhea.
"i almost shit my spleen out, that was such a scary event in my life."
meanwhile taehyun weighing the consequences of telling him that he can't shit his spleen out vs hear beomgyu try to argue that his butthole suction is that strong that he can ACTUALLY do it.
while yeonjun has his head out of the window to clear himself off the me talk traumatic flashes when he was at the apartment the day this had happened and he almost had to take beomgyu to the hospital while his dropping shit like a pigeon.
beomgyu has to be shut down manually because one more word and yeonjun would have flung himself down.
KANG TAEHYUN.
this man will DIE shitting before he let's you know that he also had his bouts with diarrhoea.
biggest hypocrite when it comes to shit talk because man wants to be in everyone's business like an overactive enthusiastic activist like there's nothing to be ashamed about YOUR GUT HEALTH! TAKE PROBIOTICS!!!
except when the matter becomes personal.
will not tell anyone that he's shitting thrice in half n hour and his stomache is feeling its being sucked out and his butt is on fire.
hyuka—oh why are you walking like that taehyun?
taehyun—i was twerking.
contrary to his own beliefs, doesn't take any medicines.
has his squabbles with diarrhoea until it gets better on its own
and then when his ass heals, gets back on his high horse
lies that he takes care of his diet so well that he never had diarrhoea ever
HUENING KAI.
okay he might not tell anyone because nobody asks him about it.
even when he's like running across the house until he becomes a blur to get inside the bathroom like his life depends on it
not a squeak from anyone.
sometimes when soobin would be occupying the bathroom, scrolling on his phone while huening scratching onto the door like
he's gonna explode anytime soon
beomgyu walking by like, " oh wow huening are you cosplaying a cat?"
comes out of the bathroom all sweaty with his bangs stuck to his forehead to the dance practice.
and yeonjun is like, "everyone should be as hardworking as huening."
even when his ordeal is all over
doesn't tell anyone how much he was suffering
when taehyun asks him how does he take care of his food intake that well
huening kai breaking the fourth wall and looking the camera like it's the office.

Daily Shark Fact - 4/18/2025
Today's shark is the Port Jackson shark!

The basics: a migratory shark native to exclusively to the coastal waters around Australia (including around Port Jackson, where its name comes from!), Port Jackson sharks are the largest members of the order of bullhead sharks, growing as much as almost five and a half feet long. Like other bullhead sharks, they have sharp grasping teeth at the front of their mouths and flat crushing teeth near the back, helping them crush the shells of molluscs, crustaceans, and other hard prey. Adult Port Jackson sharks are social, and have been observed to have preferences for the types of other sharks they interact with, noticing the size and sex of other sharks.
Conservation status: least concern. Though bycatch does happen considering their coastal habitat, and their egg capsules are noted to have a very high mortality rate, Port Jackson sharks are not noted to be in decline and have no commercial value.
Today's fun fact: it's a myth that all sharks must stay swimming in order to breathe, and the Port Jackson shark isn't unique in its ability to pump water over its gills while resting on the sea floor. What is a bit more unusual, though, is that these sharks have been observed eating and breathing at the same time! It can take them time to crack their food open, so being able to pump water over their gills manually while they eat is a bonus. Juvenile Port Jackson sharks, too, eat a lot of soft invertebrate prey compared to adults, and will feed by suctioning up a bunch of stuff from the sea floor and just letting the sand pass with the water through their gills while they keep the food in their mouths!
