Author summary:

With Scott's dad back in town for the holidays, with no warning, Scott isn't sure how to come out to him. Fortunately, Stiles has an idea. A really good, foolproof, sure-to-work idea. All it requires is them being able to successfully pretend to be in a relationship. That can't be too difficult. Only, neither of them are too sure if it's actually going to work. Or if they're even still going to be acting by the time it's all over.

Reasons to love the fic: I do not usually click on 45k fics when I am reading specifically for the rec blog. But I saw the author and knew I was in for a good time. And as usual, they did not disappoint. This fic is everything I love about friends-to-lovers, fake dating, everyone lives and fleshing out of character's lives rolled up into one super sweet fic.

The fic does feature a very tense relationship with Scott and Rafael that unfolds in a realistic, but satisfying way. However, if you don't vibe with Realy Shitty Rafael, it might be your vibe. I thought it was extremely well done and you could just feel how much Scott was affected. This fic also explores Christmas and Hanukkah traditions in a loving, thoughtful way.

This is definitely going to be a yearly reread for me.

Davina McCall has heaped praise on the Princess Royal after being made an MBE for services to broadcasting.

The 56-year-old said Anne had always been one of her favourite royals and shared her 'gung-ho' attitude to life.

The presenter added that she was 'terrified' before the investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace, but that it was an 'honour'.

She said: 'The Princess Royal has always been one of my favourite royals because I think as a woman or as a young girl growing up and seeing her, she always seemed to be quite gung-ho and she rather shared my ethos in life it felt like.

'She is a very positive, no-nonsense woman and I really like her for that so I was thrilled when it was her.

'I always found her rather inspiring growing up so to be presented with an award by her was a real treat.’

Anne asked how McCall got into broadcasting and the presenter replied that she had wanted to be a singer but 'wasn't good enough'.

The princess quipped that 'The Masked Singer is perfect for you!'

The presenter said: 'I thought 'Oh my God, Princess Anne's just said The Masked Singer'. She was lovely, very personable.'

McCall also passed on her best wishes to the King, who is recovering from an operation for an enlarged prostate, and the Princess of Wales who is back at home after being treated for abdominal surgery.

And now Eli is going to be raised by an Argent and failwolf McCall??? The TRAUMA of that. Literally just imploded the miniscule aspects of teen wolf that I still enjoyed.

Like Eli is a born wolf and the Hale and werewolf histories were obviously so important to Derek and now he gets none of that. Scott literally hates what he is how is Eli going to grow into a functional and happy werewolf with that as his guardian.

The Hales are ROLLING in the graves dear god.

I HATE when fanfic writers villainize certain characters so they can make their fic more angsty, or so they can have a canon couple break up to do their ship.

like some teen wolf writers got me defending Scott and I don't even particularly like Scott.

THERES SO MANY OTHER WAYS YOU CAN GO ABOUT ITTTT!!!!

If you want conflict between characters you can DO THAT without having to make one the devil.

Also there's many ways to get your ship going even if a character is in a canon relationship without making their partner like abusive or toxic or whatever. YOU COULD EVEN MAKE IT SO THEY WERE NEVER DATINGGGG!!! THE POSSIBILITIES ARE LITERALLY ENDLESSSSS!!!!!!
