I 100% agree. I want Tim being an unhinged little shit who gets away with things he definitely should not. He purposefully throws himself into danger and somehow makes it out. This teen said, "Bruce can't be dead," and thought that into existence.

He's out here bluffing or throwing together plans that should not work and somehow always coming out on top (somewhat. Ignore all his trauma and grief). Like his Mr. Sarcastic persona or his art theft or the LoA bases he blew up or his time with YJ or stalking Dick all the way to the circus. I absolutely thrive for how the comics just brush that strange shit under the rug as if trying to convince the audience that what we saw was, in fact, fine. I think this is why the fandom holds onto Tim's missing spleen better than Tim did. All of his weird antics are pushed aside or not analyzed enough for how strange he is.

There's also not enough fics of the batfam reacting to the discovery of what the hell YJ used to get up to.

Tim should be his menace like self causing problems for everyone as long as it reaches his goal.

I feel weird recommending one of my own fics, but I tried to match this vibe with "Mayo and Murder."

"Boom, Boom, Pow!" by LilaVaporizer9000 is a great one as well!

Bruce had told him to take a break from Robin in order to spend some time at home with his dad, and Tim can’t say no to that. He knows Bruce is probably glad to be rid of him for a short while.

And he can handle discipline. This is a Tim Drake problem, not a Robin problem anyway. There’s no need for Bruce to know anything.

Things get a little muddled when an injured Jason Todd crawls through his bedroom window.
