The Function of Lungs in Light of Quranic Metaphors
The lungs are essential organs in the human body, sustaining life through the silent rhythm of breath. While the Quran does not name the lungs explicitly, it contains metaphoric references that align remarkably with the modern understanding of respiratory function. These metaphors often describe breath, air, constriction, and ease—echoing the physiological and emotional roles that lungs perform. By reflecting on these references, we gain insight into the harmony between divine wisdom and biological science.
Quranic Metaphors for Breath and Life
The Quran frequently mentions breath and air to illustrate life, death, and spiritual states. These references symbolically allude to the lungs' function as a gateway between life and death.
The Breath of Life
The Quran describes the origin of life: “Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul…” (Surah As-Sajdah, 32:9).
This breath represents more than air—it is a divine infusion that activates life, which biologically depends on lung function.
The metaphoric “breath” correlates with the respiratory process that sustains living beings.
Signs in the Air
Surah Al-Jathiyah (45:5) states: “And in the alternation of the winds… are signs for people who reason.”
Air, the medium lungs depend on, is described as a sign—a symbol of divine order and wisdom.
The very air we inhale is framed as part of a miraculous system.
Constriction and Expansion
Surah Al-An’am (6:125): “...his chest is as if he were climbing into the sky.”
This metaphor captures the sensation of shortness of breath—a symptom of lung insufficiency at high altitudes.
It also alludes to emotional distress, linking respiratory constriction to spiritual heaviness.
The Human Chest: A Seat of Breath and Emotion
The Quran frequently mentions the chest (ṣadr) as a center of both breath and emotion, reflecting its dual physical and psychological dimensions.
The Expanding Chest
In Surah Ash-Sharh (94:1), Allah asks: “Did We not expand for you your chest?”
Expansion symbolizes relief and clarity, metaphorically referencing emotional peace and, possibly, the ease of breathing.
This metaphor aligns with deep, relaxed breathing supported by healthy lungs.
Tightness in the Chest
Surah Hud (11:12) describes, “...your chest becomes tight because of what they say.”
Tightness here refers to stress-induced shortness of breath—an emotional and physiological overlap.
The metaphor beautifully reflects the role lungs play in regulating physical and emotional well-being.
Whisperings Within the Chest
Surah An-Naas (114:5): “Who whispers in the breasts (ṣudūr) of mankind…”
The “chest” here is a spiritual battleground, containing both breath and the heart’s condition.
The metaphor implies an intricate relationship between breath, mind, and soul.
Scientific Understanding of Lung Function
Modern science confirms that lungs are more than air exchangers. Their design reflects a system of divine engineering, enabling vital processes within.
Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Exchange
Lungs inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide—essential for cellular function.
This cycle maintains blood pH and energy production across the body.
Without this exchange, life cannot be sustained for more than a few minutes.
Structural Design
The lungs contain millions of alveoli—tiny sacs that maximize surface area for gas exchange.
These structures resemble intricate webs, reminiscent of divine design patterns observed in nature.
The trachea, bronchi, and alveoli function in perfect synchrony.
Protective Mechanisms
The lungs are lined with mucus and cilia that trap and expel harmful particles.
Immune cells within the lungs detect pathogens before they enter the bloodstream.
These protective systems operate continuously and silently.
Constriction of Breath in Quranic Context
The Quran references chest tightness or difficulty breathing to illustrate both physical and spiritual crises.
Emotional oppression is described as suffocation, e.g., “...his chest becomes tight…” (11:12).
The simile of climbing into the sky (6:125) mirrors the effects of altitude on breathing.
Spiritual rejection is often expressed as “hearts and chests being sealed.”
Relief from distress is described as expansion of the chest—indicating restored breath and peace.
Breath as a Symbol of Divine Connection
Breath represents the link between the human soul and divine will.
Loss of breath in death signifies the soul’s departure from the body.
Calm, deep breathing supports mindfulness and spiritual focus during prayer.
Quranic metaphors often use breath-related terms when describing the soul’s state.
Health of Lungs and Moral Conduct
Smoking and air pollution harm the lungs—an indirect violation of preserving Allah’s trust.
Clean air and mindful breathing align with gratitude for divine blessings.
Caring for one’s lungs is an act of preserving the gift of life.
Islamic teachings encourage purity, including maintaining a healthy body.
Prayer, Breath, and Tranquility
Salah (prayer) involves controlled breathing, particularly in sujood (prostration).
Rhythmic breathing during prayer calms the nervous system.
This harmony supports lung function and emotional regulation.
Prayer becomes both a spiritual and physiological exercise.
Quranic Inspiration for Health Awareness
The Quran encourages reflection on the body as a sign of Allah’s creation.
Muslims are urged to protect their health to fulfill their religious duties.
Recognizing metaphors about breath can foster deeper appreciation of lung health.
Teaching children the spiritual value of breath instills early health awareness.
Conclusion
The lungs, though not explicitly named in the Quran, are reflected in rich metaphoric language that aligns closely with scientific understanding. From the divine breath of life to the emotional constriction of the chest, Quranic imagery captures the physiological and spiritual roles lungs play in human existence. As we explore these signs, we recognize the intricate connection between body and soul. At Muhammadan Quran School, we help children and adults explore such Quranic wisdom through personalized online Quran classes designed for all levels.

Numerology: The number 9
Tumblr media
9 18 27 36 45 54 63 72 81 90 99
What does the number 9 signify? 9 means completion, but not a final ending.
In astrology: the number 9 is associated with the planet Mars, which is said to govern ambition, energy, and action. People born under the sign of Mars, which is associated with the number 9, are said to be confident, independent, and adventurous. The ninth sign of the zodiac, Sagittarius, is known for its adventurous and expansive spirit, which reflects the qualities of the number 9. Additionally, the number 9 is linked to the concept of karma, which refers to the idea that our actions have consequences that come back to us. This is because 9 is the result of adding up all the single-digit numbers before it (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8=36, and 3+6=9), suggesting that we reap what we sow. Overall, the number 9 is significant and powerful in astrology, representing completion, growth, and the consequences of our actions. Moreover, in Vedic astrology, the nine planets or Grahas are believed to have a significant influence on human destiny and are associated with different qualities and energies. These planets include the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu. The Sun and Moon are considered the most important planets, as they are responsible for life on Earth and are associated with the soul and mind, respectively. The number 9 is associated with the planet Guru or Jupiter, which is considered the most benefic planet in the horoscope. Guru is associated with wisdom, knowledge, and good fortune. People who are born on the 9th, 18th, or 27th of any month are said to be influenced by the planet Guru and are considered to be blessed with good luck and prosperity.
In astronomy: the number 9 is perhaps most famously associated with the nine planets in our solar system. the number 9 has significance in the relationship between the Sun, Moon, and Earth. It is said that the Sun completes a cycle of 360 degrees in the sky in one year, which is divided into 12 zodiac signs, with each sign taking up 30 degrees. The Moon, on the other hand, takes about 29.5 days to complete its cycle around the Earth, and during this time, it passes through all 12 zodiac signs. Interestingly, the total number of days in a solar year (365.24) multiplied by the number of lunar months in a year (12.37) equals 4536.24, which can be reduced to 9. This is known as the lunar-solar cycle, and it is believed to be a powerful symbol of completion and transformation.
In mythology: the number 9 is often associated with spiritual growth and knowledge. For example, in Norse mythology, Odin hung from the world tree Yggdrasil for nine days and nine nights to gain wisdom and knowledge. In Greek mythology, nine muses inspired creativity and art, while in Egyptian mythology, nine gods presided over the underworld.
In mathematics: the number 9 has some unique properties as well. It is the highest single-digit number, and any number multiplied by 9 will always result in a number whose digits add up to 9. Additionally, the number 9 is the sum of the first three square numbers (1² + 2² + 3² = 9) and the sum of the first three cube numbers (1³ + 2³ + 3³ = 36). This property of the number 9 is known as the "digital root" and is used in various mathematical and divinatory practices.
In physics: the number 9 appears in the fundamental equations that describe the behavior of the universe, such as the nine-dimensional equations of string theory. In mathematics, the number 9 is used in a variety of numerical systems, including the base-9 system used by the ancient Maya.
In science: the significance of number 9 in science is reflected in its frequent appearance in various scientific phenomena. For instance, the periodic table has nine fundamental types of atoms, known as lanthanides. The human body is made up of nine major organ systems, including the cardiovascular, nervous, and respiratory systems. The electromagnetic spectrum has nine main categories of waves, ranging from radio waves to gamma rays. Sun and Earth: The diameter of the Sun is supposed to be 108 times the diameter of the Earth. The distance from the Sun to the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Sun. It looks very dramatic and mysterious yet if true its indeed happy mystery. Moon and Earth: The average distance of the Moon from the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Moon. Furthermore, there are nine planets in our solar system (including Pluto, which is now considered a dwarf planet), and the number 9 also appears in the fundamental equations that describe the behavior of the universe, such as the nine-dimensional equations of string theory. The number 9 also appears in the concept of tides, which are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun on the Earth's oceans. Tides follow a roughly 12-hour cycle, with high and low tides occurring twice a day, resulting in a total of around 9 tides per day.
In ancient Egypt: the number 9 was associated with the nine gods who ruled over the underworld.
In music: the significance of the number 9 in music is rooted in its harmonic properties. The ninth note of a scale, known as the subtonic, is a crucial note for creating tension and leading to the tonic note. This creates a sense of resolution and closure in musical phrases. Additionally, the number 9 appears in musical time signatures such as 9/8, which adds a unique and complex rhythmic texture to the music. The number 9 also plays a symbolic role in music, as seen in The Beatles' "Revolution 9," a groundbreaking experimental track that features various sound effects and spoken word samples. Overall, the number 9 adds depth and complexity to the music, both in its harmonic properties and its symbolic significance.
Nine Muses: In Greek mythology, the Nine Muses were the goddesses of inspiration in the arts and sciences, such as music, poetry, and astronomy. They were said to be the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne and were believed to provide inspiration and guidance to human beings.
Nine Worthies: The Nine Worthies were a group of historical and legendary figures from different cultures who were seen as exemplars of chivalry and virtue. They were divided into three categories of three: pagan, Jewish, and Christian. The pagan worthies were Hector, Alexander the Great, and Julius Caesar; the Jewish worthies were Joshua, David, and Judas Maccabeus; and the Christian worthies were King Arthur, Charlemagne, and Godfrey of Bouillon.
Ennead: In ancient Egyptian mythology, the Ennead was a group of nine gods and goddesses who were worshipped in the city of Heliopolis. The Ennead included the god Atum, who was believed to have created the world, and his children Shu and Tefnut, who represented air and moisture, respectively.
Nine Emperor Gods Festival: The Nine Emperor Gods Festival is a Taoist festival celebrated in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. The festival is held in the ninth lunar month and is dedicated to the worship of the Nine Emperor Gods, who are believed to bring good luck and prosperity.
The 9th letter of the alphabet is "I", which is also the Roman numeral for the number 1. This means that "IX" is 9 in Roman numerals, which is why you sometimes see clocks or watches with "IX" instead of "IX" to represent 9.
Islam: Quran says that each and everything of this universe is counted and surrounded by numeric. The 9th chapter of the Qur'an At-Tawbah 'the Repentance', and is one of the last Medinan surahs. The number 9 is the day of Hajj. The Messenger Mohammad participated in 9 of the conquests. And nine Qur’anic verses speak about the prophet Moses. The Arabic letters of the opening in the Qur’an add up to 786=9, 786 is an Arabic numeric value that denotes“Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim” the opening phrase of the Holy Quran. It translates as “In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent“. 786 is basically driven from the series of Arabic Numerology called “Abjad“. In Muslim tradition it is known to be the symbolic representation of Allah. But no Islamic scholar has so far been able to explain the origin of this number. In fact, it is not mentioned in the Quran. Ramadan: a time of fasting and spiritual reflection for Muslims, is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
Biblical Symbolism: The number nine is found 49 times in Scripture. Its biblical symbolism is tied mainly to the concepts of finality, divine completeness, and judgment. It typically surfaces during pivotal moments of transformation, culmination, or judgment in the biblical narrative. In the divine order of creation, the Lord chose to create a nine-month gestation period for human beings, indicating a time of completeness before birth. The number nine often marks the end of a divine cycle or period. In the context of the Old Testament, every ninth year represented the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new one. The number 'nine' also weaves a pattern of divine judgment throughout biblical history. For instance, the prophet Hosea, inspired by God, declared that Ephraim's destruction would come to the city in the 'ninth' year. In another instance, the ninth hour was marked for Christ's death, symbolizing the largest divine judgement humanity has ever witnessed. Ezekiel 24:1-2 noted the siege of Jerusalem commenced on the 'ninth' day of the tenth month. Adding to its significance, the city's destruction commenced on the 'ninth' day of the fourth month. Nine Attributes of God: The Lord is patient, The Lord is Merciful, The Lord is Gracious, The Lord is Abundant in Goodness, The Lord is Abundant in Truth, The Lord is Loving, The Lord is Forgiving, The Lord is a God that Judges, The Lord is Just. In Christianity, there are nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The number 9 is revered in Hinduism and considered a complete, perfected and divine number because it represents the end of a cycle in the decimal system, which originated from the Indian subcontinent as early as 3000 BC. The number 9 is considered a lucky number in many cultures, including in China and Japan, where it is associated with longevity and good fortune. In numerology, the number 9 is associated with spiritual growth, selflessness, and humanitarianism.
In Hinduism: The number 9 has played a significant role in Indian history, culture, and mythology. In Hinduism, there are nine planets, nine forms of Devi, and nine forms of Lord Vishnu. The number 9 is also associated with the Navratnas, which are the nine precious gemstones. According to Hindu mythology, there are nine avatars of Lord Vishnu, including Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, and Kalki. These avatars are believed to have appeared on Earth in different forms and at different times to restore balance and order. The number 9 is also significant in other Indian religions and traditions. In Buddhism: there are nine stages of consciousness. Some Buddhists carve have 108 small Buddhas on a walnut for good luck. Other Buddhists, like in Tibet and in Bhutan, they ring a bell 108 times to celebrate a new year. They believed it as corresponding to 108 virtues to cultivate and 108 defilements to avoid. Chinese Buddhists and in the Taoists 108 bead mala (called su-chu), and has three dividing beads, so the mala is divided into three parts of 36 each. Chinese astrology also believed that there are 108 sacred stars. while in Jainism, there are nine tattvas or principles of reality. The number 9 is also associated with the nine chakras, or energy centers, in the body. Nine Gems: The Navratnas, or nine gems, are considered to be powerful and auspicious in Indian culture. These include diamond, pearl, ruby, emerald, yellow sapphire, blue sapphire, hessonite, cat The significance of the number 9 can also be seen in Indian architecture and art. For instance, the famous Hindu temple, Brihadeeswarar Temple, located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, was built in the 11th century and is known for its unique architecture that features nine stories, representing the nine planets in Hindu mythology. The temple also has nine entrances, nine corridors, and nine sacred tanks, emphasizing the importance of the number 9 in Hindu culture. Another example of the significance of the number 9 in Indian art is the Navarasas or the nine emotions, which are depicted in various forms of art, including dance, music, and theater. The nine emotions are Shringara (love), Hasya (laughter), Karuna (compassion), Raudra (anger), Veera (courage), Bhayanaka (fear), Bibhatsa (disgust), Adbhuta (wonder), and Shanta (peace). These emotions are believed to be the essence of human experience and are often portrayed in Indian art and literature. Furthermore, the number 9 is also believed to have healing properties in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. According to Ayurveda, the human body is composed of nine elements or dhatus, which are Rasa (plasma), Rakta (blood), Mamsa (muscle), Meda (fat), Asthi (bone), Majja (marrow), Shukra (semen), Artava (ovary), and Purisha (feces). These elements are believed to be interconnected and affect each other, and any imbalance in these elements can lead to illness. Ayurvedic remedies often involve balancing these elements to promote health and well-being.

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand people who are religious ? You’re telling me YOUR god is real because YOUR book said so and therefore if I don’t believe what you tell me even though you give me no proof or arguments whatsoever I’m going to suffer in hell for eternity ? Do you not see the insanity in that ? Being spiritual is one thing : I as well think there is a god or at least something that is greater than us. But why would you let a thousand year old fairy tale book dictate your day to day life ? Is it just me ?

The usual excuse is that it's either a "translation problem," in which case we can't trust anything the quran says in English, or that it's a metaphor. Science is specific and precise. Metaphors are, by definition, unscientific.
Sometimes the excuse is one then the other, without the person realizing how stupid they sound.

A globe by observation but flat to the sight. Strange 🤔
Quran was oral, now written. It was in Arabic, now translated. These two created a hole where such critics entered. Honesty they distort & misinterpret the verses of Quran. But how could they supress the Glory of Allah the Almighty who spread the earth with provision for us not spread it flat, but truly, from wherever we look into it, its seems flat, flat like a carpet. This is the beauty of His creations. A globe by observation but flat to the sight. 🤔🙂

The Science Behind Aging in the Quran
Aging is a universal experience, one that affects all living beings. While science has explored aging through the lens of biology and medicine, the Quran provides a deeper, more spiritual perspective. From cellular deterioration to wisdom in old age, the Holy Quran discusses aging as a divine process guided by Allah's will. This article explores the science behind aging through both Quranic wisdom and modern biological insights.
Aging as a Divine Process in the Quran
The Quran consistently describes aging not as a random occurrence, but as a process ordained by Allah. It highlights human development through phases, including birth, youth, adulthood, and old age.
Quranic Verses on Life Stages
Surah Ar-Rum (30:54): "It is Allah who created you in a state of weakness, then after weakness gave strength, then after strength gave weakness and grey hair."
Surah Al-Hajj (22:5): "And among you is he who is taken to the worst part of life so that he knows nothing after once having knowledge."
Surah Ghafir (40:67): "He is the One who created you from dust... then [He causes] you to reach your time appointed."
Divine Wisdom Behind Aging
Aging teaches humility as physical and mental faculties decline.
It serves as a reminder of human mortality and dependence on Allah.
Wisdom and patience often come with age, fulfilling one’s spiritual journey.
The Role of Taqdeer (Divine Decree)
Life span and aging are predetermined by Allah.
No scientific intervention can alter the decree of death.
Aging becomes a spiritual test and opportunity for reflection.
Biological Foundations of Aging
Biologically, aging is a gradual decline in physiological functions, caused by a range of internal and external factors. The Quran indirectly references these concepts through metaphors and life cycles.
Cellular Senescence
Cells lose the ability to divide after a certain number of replications.
This decline contributes to tissue aging and weakened immunity.
Quranic verse 36:68 mentions being "reduced to a feeble state."
DNA and Genetic Clock
Telomeres at the end of chromosomes shorten with each cell division.
When telomeres become too short, cells can no longer function properly.
This mechanism aligns with the gradual weakening described in the Quran.
Oxidative Stress and Free Radicals
Accumulated cellular damage from free radicals accelerates aging.
Antioxidants slow down this process but do not stop it.
Aging is part of Allah’s plan, regardless of health efforts.
Psychological and Cognitive Aging in Light of Quran
The Quran recognizes cognitive decline as part of the aging process, especially loss of memory and reasoning.
Memory Loss and Forgetfulness
The verse in Surah Al-Hajj highlights a stage where knowledge is forgotten.
Alzheimer’s and dementia are modern terms that reflect this reality.
Memory is a gift that can fade, reminding us of our dependency on Allah.
Emotional Sensitivity in the Elderly
Older people are often more emotionally sensitive.
The Quran encourages respectful speech and compassion, especially towards aged parents.
Emotional health is as important as physical health in elder care.
Cognitive Decline and Spiritual Reflection
Forgetfulness can lead to increased spiritual awareness.
Elderly individuals often turn more towards prayer and remembrance.
This shift is not regression but a realignment with the divine.
Aging, Time, and Death: A Quranic Continuum
Time is a central theme in both scientific and Quranic discussions of aging. The Quran emphasizes how swiftly life passes and urges believers to prepare for the Hereafter.
Time as a Creation of Allah
Time governs all biological functions.
Aging is the unfolding of divine will over time.
It teaches gratitude for every passing moment.
Quranic Emphasis on the Fleeting Nature of Life
Life is likened to a passing shadow or a temporary abode.
This transient view aligns with science’s understanding of aging as entropy.
Death as the Final Phase
Death is not the end but a transformation.
Quran: “Every soul shall taste death” (3:185).
Aging is the path toward meeting our Creator.
Quranic Advice for Healthy Aging
Maintain a balanced diet and avoid excess (Surah Al-A'raf 7:31).
Engage in regular prayer and reflection to support mental well-being.
Show gratitude and patience during life’s transitions.
Be mindful of one’s responsibilities even in older age.
Science-Backed Lifestyle Habits for Longevity
Healthy Nutrition: Diets rich in antioxidants can reduce cellular aging.
Physical Activity: Regular exercise delays physical decline.
Social Engagement: Staying socially active improves emotional health.
Mental Stimulation: Learning and brain exercises can slow cognitive decay.
Spiritual Practices That Slow Aging Emotionally
Daily Prayer: Creates routine, focus, and emotional calm.
Quran Recitation: Calms the nervous system and encourages mindfulness.
Charity and Good Deeds: Promote inner peace and purpose.
Forgiveness: Letting go of grudges reduces stress and aging biomarkers.
Lessons from Prophet’s Teachings on Aging
Respect for Elders: Islam elevates the status of the elderly.
Balance in Life: Moderation in habits leads to a healthier life.
Seeking Knowledge: Continual learning keeps the mind young.
Hope in Allah: Staying optimistic is a spiritual anti-aging remedy.
Conclusion
The Quran presents aging as both a biological reality and a spiritual journey. It is a sign from Allah, intended to humble us and draw us closer to our Creator. Science provides the "how" of aging, while the Quran offers the "why." At Muhammadan Quran School, we embrace this balance by offering online Quran classes tailored for both kids and adults, guiding students at every stage of life to grow spiritually and mentally.

The Quran, the holy book of Islam, is revered by Muslims as the word of God. It is not only a religious text but also contains numerous scientific references that have been seen by many as miracles. These scientific miracles are believed to be evidence of the divine nature of the Quran and its ability to provide knowledge that was ahead of its time. Here are some examples of scientific miracles found in the Quran:
Embryology: The Quran contains detailed descriptions of human embryonic development, which were not known at the time it was revealed. It accurately describes stages such as fertilization, implantation, and formation of bones and muscles.
Creation from Water: The Quran mentions that all living things are created from water, which aligns with modern scientific understanding that water is essential for life.
Mountains as Stabilizers: The Quran refers to mountains as stabilizers on Earth's surface, preventing it from shaking or swaying excessively. This concept correlates with modern geological understanding that mountains play a crucial role in maintaining tectonic stability.
Celestial Orbits: The Quran mentions the movement and orbiting of celestial bodies like the sun and moon. This aligns with our current knowledge about their orbital paths around other celestial objects.
Oceanography: The Quran describes the distinct properties of saltwater and freshwater and states that they do not mix completely when they meet - something that was only discovered much later through advancements in oceanographic research.
These examples highlight some instances where scientific information mentioned in the Quran has been seen by many as miraculous due to its alignment with modern scientific discoveries.

Why is it not allowed for a woman to have multiple marriages or multiple husbands in Islam?
(scientific explanation)
A Jewish embryologist (who was also a religious scholar) openly stated that there is no other religion in the world that is purer and purer than the Muslim woman.
The whole incident happened when Robert, a Jewish professional, an embryologist associated with the Albert Einstein Institute, announced his conversion to Islam. The only reason for which was the knowledge of the verses regarding the order of Iddat for divorced women mentioned in the Qur'an and the mystery and wisdom behind setting a limit of three months for Iddat.
Allah Ta'ala has asked a divorced woman to keep a gap of three months before remarrying. He said in the Holy Quran,
وَٱلْمُطَلَّقَٰتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَٰثَةَ قُرُوٓءٍۚ
That is, 'divorced women will wait up to three months'. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 228)
This verse paved the way for the discovery of DNA by a modern science and found that the protein in one man's semen is 62% different from another man's.
And a woman's body is like a computer. When a man has intercourse with her, the woman's body absorbs all the bacteria and keeps it in her body. Therefore, if a woman marries another man or has intercourse with several men at the same time after divorce, her body accumulates different types of DNA that produce dangerous proteins and cause serious diseases.
Studies show that 32% to 35% of protein is lost from a woman's body after her first period, and 67 to 72% of her DNA is destroyed after her second period. And after the third menstruation up to 99.9% of the protein is eliminated. The uterus is then completely cleared of the previous DNA and ready to accept the new DNA without any side effects.
A courtesan copulates with many men, causing bacteria from different men to enter her uterus and accumulate different types of DNA in her, causing her to contract fatal diseases.
In the case of a widowed woman, the provision of Shariah is that her Iddat is longer than that of a divorced woman i.e. 4 months and 10 days. This is because the former DNA is not eliminated quickly from her body due to grief and anxiety, it takes longer than before, and for this the women's Iddah is fixed at four months and ten days. Allah says in the Holy Quran:
وَٱلَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَٰجًا يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًاۖ
That is, 'Those of you who die leaving wives shall abstain from them for four months and ten days.' (Surah Al-Baqarah, 234)
Faced with this fact, an expert doctor conducted research at two different locations in the United States.
One. Only one husband's DNA was found in the fetuses of the women in the neighborhood where Muslims of African descent lived. Two. In other neighborhoods where Native American women live, DNA from more than two or three men has been found in their fetuses.
Then when the specialist doctor examined his own wife's embryo, he discovered the shocking fact that his wife had three different DNA. Which means his wife was cheating on him and only one of his three children was his own, the rest were from other men.
The doctor is then convinced that Islam is the only religion that guarantees the safety of women and the harmony of society. And be sure that only Muslim women are the cleanest, purest and most chaste in the world.
