The scale of MXTX characters hand writing from Worst to Best

Hua Cheng: literally intelligible, those basically aren't even words any.

Wei wuxian: the equivalent of a sleep deprived adhd stem student notes right before an exam. Technically legible but only to him, people who know him really well.

Luo Binghe: it's good. Not outstanding but Nicely legible, pretty when it needs to be.

Shen Qingqiu: technically there's nothing wrong with his hand writing, but His writing is too modern for the Xianxia settings he's living in and although it's not too much of a problem it's definitely enough to make peoples eyebrow raise.

Xie Lian: stunningly beautiful calligraphy. Truly just art in written form.

Lan wangji: the most beautiful and technically perfect hand writing you have everything seen. Calligraphy teachers weap with joy when they see his writing.

I can't stop thinking about the post from a few days ago about how Critical Role has been great at doing personal faith but didn't put the necessary work in to discuss the religious/god angle of c3 in-depth. Like the fact that Cardinal Respa was linked to both the Dawnfather and the Chained Oblivion is, on a personal level, very interesting (fallen/corrupted priest goes hard) but like does that mean that there's a Papacy somewhere in Exandria dedicated to the Dawnfather? If so, are there more cardinals who ordain the bishops of the Dawnfather? Are there Conclave-level intrigues going on in the Dawnfather's Sistine Chapel? Why is the Dawnfather so Christianity-coded in vibes alone if there's no actual outline of his religious organisations? With Downfall the Dawnchild/Dawnfather thing makes the allusions to Christ as Son of God co-existing with the Father textual - was there a Dawnfather Schism around whether the Dawnchild was a separate mortal? Was there a Reformation about how the Dawnfather's Pope kept selling indulgences? Is that why the priest of the Dawnfather Grog & Pike offer a drink to doesn't partake because of a cultural shift between Protestant-Temperance-League-coded and Catholic-coded Dawnfather congregations? Why do I have so many questions about the religious organisation of one of the most important Prime Deities in Exandria and to Critical Role's 3 campaigns? How on earth were the cast (and us as the viewers!) meant to care about the gods if all they had were "really tall kings" instead of interrogating how religious organisations provide both a place of healing and community to a wide range of people and also a place of horrific harm and abuse for a wide range of people?

Hello! I had the same struggle for some time, but I did eventually come up with a loose system I was happy with!

Firstly, if they ever roll the want to Learn to Study, especially as children, I lock it in and get straight on it because I think it may be that sims who have learned to study are more likely to want to do their homework.

Secondly, I take the wants of family members in the household into consideration. So, if a parent wants the kid to get an A+ or to be an overachiever or something, then I'll have that parent initiate helping with homework so they have to do it, even if they've already learned to study.

Thirdly, if the sim wants to go to college or get into private school, then I interpret this as them wanting to do well in school so that they can, so I aim to make them do it at least enough to keep a B grade.

Fourthly, I calculate and assign their secondary aspirations as soon as they become teenagers (it can always change as they grow up), a second aspiration means they're more likely to have Knowledge or Fortune in there somewhere which I find tend to roll the want to do their homework at least sometimes.

Fifthly, I try to get them up in the morning with enough time to do it before school despite having a mod that lets sims sleep in past 6am if their energy is full, because I find that whilst they might not roll the want after school, they more often roll it when they wake up the next day.

Sixthly, I take their interest in school into account. If they have a high interest in school (7+), I'll have them do their homework most of the time whether they want to or not. If they have medium interest (4-6), I'll occasionally make them do their homework at least often enough to keep a C grade. If they hate school (3 or less), then I'll never make them do their homework unless the above wants criteria are met.

Seventhly (why did I keep this number thing going lol), I use the Partial Homework Credit Mod so they will still either get a small grade bonus or at least not as much of a loss if they do at least some of their homework but don't finish it.

HTR13 does organise them into something closer to Parts or Divisions which makes the structure a little more coherent. it drives me nuts that sometimes a numbered rule will have sub-provisions that have absolutely nothing to do with each other. drafting that gives me a stress migraine
